My kids ages 7, 9 and 12 enjoyed themselves playing with all the interactive exhibits for about an hour and a half. Theres lots of different stations with different things to do. It kind of is two different rooms and it was fairly easy to keep track of where the kids were and what theyre doing. My only complaint was that there wasnt any staff in the area and there was a group of daycare kids that werent being super vised very well and I had to tell them to stop hitting each other with the foam blocks
Ive been here several times over the years and every time Im here my son has an absolute blast. They make sure to change up their exhibits from time to time to keep the kids interested and to keep new stuff rolling in and out. Its always worth a trip out here. if you havent brought your child here yet you ought to.
My kids had a very fun time. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely take them throughout the year. They also went to a birthday party the second time and loved it even more! I will definitely schedule a party there in the future. The staff was so nice and the party instructors did a fantastic job, if I could have tipped them, I wouldve but it wasnt my party. The experience that this center brings is like no other and is extremely beneficial for kids. I recommend it to everyone I know. Have a great day!
Maybe we didnt see enough of the exhibits, but the price was very high for what we did see. Normal childrens museum stuff, bubble tables, PC drone flight simulators (not quite as cool as it sounds) and a very dead Lego build your own race car table. Staff taking our money wasnt friendly or very helpful (burn out?). We were really looking forward to the visit, but unfortunately wont be back.
My family loves hands on museums, but this one is not all that great. We went a few years ago and pretty much everything is the same now as it was then. There were no attendants replacing the balls for all the ball ramps, the bubble tables were gross and need to be cleaned out, no paper towels at said bubble station, missing parts and pieces at several learning stations. We didnt go during any classes or events and because of that we had almost zero contact with any employees. Ultimately, it was just a place for my kids to run around. We probably wont go again.
We love coming here! Story time is great for preschoolers, they do an amazing job! My 3 year old loves it! They do songs, a story, a science experiment, and a craft. Afterwards, we play for a couple hours, have a picnic, then head home for nap time. Its a great time for us and there is a lot for kids and adults to do. Plus they change out the exhibits every few months so it doesnt get boring. The staff is always very nice, friendly and helpful. Great place to visit!
God awful. drove out here for nothing. The place is depressing, dilapidated, and above all filthy. This place is a waste of time, money, and gas. There is nothing for a toddler to do, or able to work with in the slightest. Dirt and trash in the bubble pits. ASLO, it is not 8.5 dollars as advertised online; the place is made up of three “museums” that are all tiny, and 8.5 dollars each. Or you can pay 25 dollars for a “membership”.Again, there is no upkeep happening in this depressing place.Save yourself the frustration.
My family loved our experience at Sci-Tech! We attended a birthday party here and the kids had a great time. The staff was very friendly and connected with the children so well. The price for the museum isnt bad at all because how much you are gaining from this museum. It is a perfect place to have a family outing and birthday parties! Im glad that there is a place out there that fosters excitement for STEM.
I have a pogo pass and this place is on it. On the website they close at 5 but when we got there at 3:00 we were informed they close at 4, except on weekends, the place does not give a tour or much information on the display about what your looking at, you just have to push buttons and figure it out for yourself.I was not impressed, but it was a place for the kids to run around and explore. They even my 8 month old was able to play with in a couple areas.
I had a day alone with my son today and my wife suggested I take him to the Discovery Center. I was here before, maybe two years ago or so, and had no real opinion one way or the other about this place. After going today, and spending $17 amdission for both me and my three year-old son, I can without a doubt say that it was a waste of our time. Admission for a three year old was overpriced at $8.50.And then, after paying for admission, I was disappointed with seeing the same exhibits that were in place some years ago. On top of the same old exhibits, and Id say nearly 3/4s of them were properly setup and ready for display or use. Now, they do have a new and temporary sports themed exhibit this year, but my disappointment continued when finding out that even some of the newer exhibits were either not turned on or ready for use! I saw on the website that there is a display that measures the velocity of a fastball, but the radar gun was not working.Maintenance and availability of assistance is truly lacking. I will not be going back. By coming here today, I not only wasted my time, but also my money.
We visited today and I was pretty disappointed. The instructions for each experience were vague and most things either did not work or were not done well. One was a “microscope” and the TV screen was so fuzzy you could not see the feather. The best i can say is there were teenagers cleaning everything with Clorox wipes, but they were not helpful in how things worked. It’s a kids museum, but the verbiage of all the items was geared towards adults. It definitely needs be improved upon.
Our family loves going to this small local museum. There are lots of hands on exhibits that makes it fun for kids to learn about all sorts of science topics. The exhibits change often enough to keep it fresh. Its also collocates with the National Videogame Museum, which is also excellent.
This company signed up to be part of the Dallas POGO Pass and then decided they didn’t want to be a part and stopped accepting the passes at the end of October with no warning to the pass holders. Because of this poor ethics business decision, my family (of 8) will not visit. I’m truly disappointed that they didn’t value the customers of the POGO Pass enough to finish out the contracted time frame. Poor business ethics and customer service.
The staff there was not friendly. I drive all that way for a place that Sci/Tech museum is small then when you have one child that rather go to the other museum (Video game Museum) you have to pay a separate fee $12/ person and $10 for 10 and under. (not) As hot as it is outside the Sci museum needs to be FREE for adults for both museums. I can see paying $25 for admission for both museums since at least on is small in my opinion.
We were the only ones here at opening on a Sunday and a tremendous amount was either broken (cars to build), not working, missing (tape to build a rocket scissors to vertical flyets and pieces to air cars). Not worth 40 dollars for 4 people. Will not go back. When I pointed this out they did refund our money so I gave them three stars.
I was visiting from out of town and unfortunately was a little under-whelmed. Also they have a sign saying they are ASTC members but wouldnt accept my ASTC membership to get in. There wasnt a great area for very small children. My 3 year old was adequately entertained for about an hour but its definitely geared more towards 6-8 year olds. If youre close by its nice enough, but we made a 40 minute drive to get there which wasnt really worth it (especially since we found it through the ASTC website and thought we would be getting in for free with our membership).
Weve hosted two birthday parties here, one for each of our sons, and the staff has always been fun, excited and super accommodating with the kids! Our last sons party was during construction and they gave everyone in our party tickets to come back as a concession for the mess.
I have a hard time spending $8 dollars a person for something thats the size of a gymnasium. You have to stretch the time there to make it last 30 minutes. My only hope is that there is still more to come with the museum but as it stands it is not worth the expense; maybe $3-$4 would make it acceptable.

2021-07-31Family outing in Frisco before the start of school. As you arrive, parking is plenty but small spaces for those family SUVs. When you enter you can purchase a pass that connects all three museums. The Sci-Tech section is to the left as you enter. The bathrooms are located in the main hallway as you enter. There are family restrooms. You check in as you enter this museum and get wrist bands. There are many hands on experiments like building a plane, Legos, foam blocks, wind experiments, super microscopes, etc. Our kids 2, 9, and 12 had fun. Its NOT for dads and moms so wear your soft shoes and see the smiles coming. Each person over 2 was $10 a must do for the family

2022-03-23The experience was overpriced and underwhelming. At least half of the exhibits were either broken/non-functional or so worn down that they could not be used as intended. It was extremely disappointing after paying $10 a pop. Even the activity of drawing spirographs (which could easily be made successful) was unusable because none of the pencils were sharpened and no way to sharpen them. Overall, I left feeling sad about the money I spent and will not be returning.

2022-03-15Went 3/15/21. Didnt even stay more than 15 minutes. More than half the exhibits are incomplete or not functioning, and its a tiny space to begin with. Waste of your money. Take your kids somewhere better

2022-06-16I have been to the Sci-Tech Discovery Center here in Frisco and they have a lot of crazy stuff to use and explore, There is a lady who does experiments and entertaining more and more guest that come to visit and it is like working and testing at a Science Lab and you can explore and learn more about Science so I recommend going here to have fun since there is a lot to do.
