First visit was awful which resulted in vouchers for a future visit. My hubby and I went back tonight about 4 months later and what a turn around! Service was quick, accurate and hot. The server was on top of everything. They totally redeemed themselves. I had the Toasted Skipper - SO good. I asked for a side of the red wine sauce that comes in the sandwich for an extra zesty bite. I would say give the establishment a try. I feel they have come a long way :)
The Cheese Ball appetizers were great and so were the Brisket Meatballs. The Eggplant Parmigiano and Ravioli need some work. The service was mediocre at best as the restaurant was 1/4 full and I had to get up and fill my own water as the manager and servers seemed to be more concerned about having their own private conversations back at the line where they pick up the food. Ryan Ray the singer was a nice touch to the atmosphere and made the evening more enjoyable. Well be back to give it another try but they need to step up their service.
I ordered the GREAT BALLS OF FIRE appetizer and it tasted good. I really liked the crunchy breading that they used. I also got the TOMATO BASIL SOUP and it was good. It tasted like Campbells though. It didnt seem homemade to me. That was the best part of my experience. I ordered SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS. It was bland not enough spices and what is it with the meat they used. It didnt seem to beef(hamburger) . It tasted off. I couldnt identify what was used. It was terrible. To make matters worse, stomach started aching about 15 minutes after eating only not quite half. I only ate that because I was starving. Now I got the runs. Wasnt sick before showing up there. Looks like Ill be home the rest of the day. Thanks Sfereco.Service wasnt very good either. I had to flag down another waiter for refills on my soft drinks. I wont be back. Sorry.
I guess the name Sfereco is an attempt to play on the word sphere as meatballs are prominently advertised on the face of the building. We had tickets for a concert at the MCL Grand which is across the street from Sfereco. We just wanted a quick meal and arrived 75 minutes before the concert was scheduled to begin. The restaurant was about half full at 6:45 on a Saturday night. That should have been the first clue.We were seated promptly by a woman who apparently was the hostess. She stopped by later and asked if we had been taken care of and we replied that we hadnt. She said, Well, I guess Ill take care of it. She took our drink order and handed us menus. A few minutes later she asked if anyone has taken our order and we replied in the negative. That should have been the second clue.My wife ordered soup and a salad ad I ordered a meatball sub figuring it shouldnt take very long to prepare. At 7:20, we asked about our order and the hostess/server said she would check on it. About five minutes later, a bowl of warm (not hot) soup arrived. It was followed by a tasteless Caesar salad and a warm (not hot) meatball sub with burnt ends. Clue #3.We asked her to bring the check as we wanted to be on time for the concert. That arrived quickly and was a modest $24. When she presented us with the credit card slip for signature, we were surprised to see the total was $55. That was not a clue. The folks who run this place are clueless.Once the bill was rectified, we got up and left.We dine out regularly and can recognize a well run restaurant. This place is runs on chaos and disorganization. Lots of wasted motion. Servers are all dressed differently so its hard to tell the patrons from the staff. Food is mediocre at best.We wont be back because Sfereco completely dropped the ball.
Ducked in for dinner before a play across the street. Explained to the manager we had limited time, he got that pizza out quickly and our schedule was not disrupted. Now, the pizza was great, way ahead of any franchise pizza out there, thin crust and very tasty, well be back to try some of their menu items, and the staff, particularly the manager, took great care that we didnt run late to our play!
Well Ive got quite the story to tell. My sister and mother decided to try out this restaurant for my sisters birthday. My sister ordered a meat sandwich with homemade chips and tomato basil soup. My mother had the spaghetti and meatballs with tomato basil soup as well. They also ordered the great balls of fire. Now lets go into how the meals were. The sandwich meat was barely recognizable because it was burnt. The soup tasted as if it came from a can like generic Campbells soup. The chips was also bland and burnt. The great balls of fire was cold but taste alright. The spaghetti tasted watery and the meat was bland and a it off as if it didnt taste like good meat. But, this wasnt the worst part of it.They ended up with stomach cramps and had to use the restroom afterward a lot. To top it off, the service wasnt that great since they had to flag down waiters to get refills on a drink.
I received a nice surprise today in the mail..a coupon for Sfereco restaurant in Old Town, Lewisville! This was our first time dining here. Everything was delicious. The cheese fireballs were so tasty. A little spicy, but my 5 year old liked them. The garlic cheese bread was the best ever, along with such a tasty marinara sauce. The pizza was wonderful, especially the kids cheese pizza (ask for the white sauce like alfredo) mmwah! Our waitress Tiffany was so sweet. A 5 star dining experience all around. Restrooms and the restaurant itself was clean and tidy. We will definitely return. Thank you so much for a great meal! Be sure to check out this great place. Olive Garden, who?!!! Sfereco is in a different league of its own. Its Italian style with a Texas twist!!
Got an order to go and was mostly disappointed. The lasagna was pretty good. The Fireballs werent good at all and the marinara that they came with was watery. The Caesar salad was average. The chicken meatballs were hard and crusty and had way too much salt. The tiramisu was good but nothing spectacular. Not good value for the price.
New place with wonderful food and atmosphere! I had the meatball sammy on meatball Tuesday. It was loaded! The chips were thick and had a wonderful flavor. They have a very inviting bar area. We didnt sit outside due to the weather, but the outside area will be a great place to enjoy your meal/drinks. Great kids area.www.mcelveenenergy.acniboACNvideo.com
Beautiful atmoSFERE ;) and decor. Service is impeccable and the food is high quality, delicious, and generous portions. Some of our favorites are the wings, the chicken parm sandwich, and the great balls of fire! I am not easily impressed when it comes to food or a new restaurant, but this is a place that we have loved and always bring out of town guests or choose as a meet up with friends spot.
Went in for an early dinner at 4:30 p.m. No one at tables, 2 people at bar. Lady behind bar NEVER acknowledged my presence, so the chef came out and seated me. Was basically ignored by the waitress...when she did wait on me, no smile, no greeting, just a scowl. No explanation on menu, and when I got my order it was just a huge lump of lasagna with nothing else! The music was blaring from the speakers over my head...no way to relax and enjoy a meal. I felt like I was in a beer joint/dive rather than a nice restaurant. I will not go back! Monday, Jan 31, 4:30 p.m.
You cannot survive on just good food!!! Wow it took us 10 minutes to (ask if we could sit) 15 minutes for our drink order and another 15 minutes for our food order. They had 1 waitress and she had 3 tables including ours. Just a poor way to service customers. Then the cook and waitress were arguing!!! Plus 3 different sets of customers walked in and left.
Phenomenal is an understatement! This place is a gem, amazing food and the atmosphere is so relaxing! The staff is an even bigger plus. I literally went out of my way to try this place, a recommendation from a dear friend who spends entirely to much of her time trying random places. But, boy am I glad I actually listened this time! The Shrimp Scampi! Omg, melts in your mouth! Absolutely delish! Conversed with a staff member by the name of William, also the chef, who is the one that made my food to absolute perfection. He was so sweet and genuinely loves being a chef! And if your a foodie, you understand how important that is! If youre in the area, or even if your not, this place is worth the travel time and distance. I highly recommend you request Chef William to personally cook the scampi. IM NOT OVER EXAGGERATING WHEN I SAY, COOKED TO PERFECTION!
Food was good, but the service was way too slow. Frankly a little annoyed to see people who came in after us served before us. Waiter said food would be 10-15 minutes, when in fact it was over half an hour. We thought we had given ourselves enough time but since we were going to a show across the street we started to feel a little rushed. There was also live music which was just too damn loud. Odd to see a restaurant like this serve soda in cans as well. My GF wanted the pistachio ice cream but we ran out of time. After the show, we decided to stop in for the pistachio ice cream, only to be told the machine was down. Frankly, a rather disappointing experience.
I was looking forward to trying this place but I will never go back again. I ordered a simple meat lasagna and was told that it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived 20 minutes later to pick it up it wasn’t even started on yet. The woman who greeted me was rude and short acted almost like I interrupted a conversation between she and the cook (who was supposed to be cooking my food but didn’t) when I walked in to pick up my order. I decided to try and overlook these issues but the kicker that made me ask for a refund immediately and leave was the fact that I could see the cook preparing my food and EATING AND LICKING HIS FREAKING FINGERS. I IMMEDIATELY asked for a refund and left. DO NOT EAT THERE! They do not care and I know the woman who greeted me (who seemed to be a manager) could see this man EATING WHILE MAKING MY FOOD. Awful awful awful, I’ll never return.
My husband, who is a chef was in the hospital and craving pizza and a caprese salad. There is no pizza place in Lewisville that serves both! But Sfreco does and it was wonderful.Thank you so much for fulfilling his craving while he is in the hospital recovering. Everything was perfect. Talisha the GM made the best Colorado Bulldog and provided cool conversation while I was waiting. My husband was so happy.
Came to pick up a to go order on Saturday, 4/2 and service was terrible. Pizza was not ready therefore was offered a water while I waited. Decided to sit at the bar to have a beer and nobody waited on me. Manager then brought my pizza, sat it down on the counter and did not even mention a word to me. She then brought me my tab and put it on the counter and walked away, not even a thank you or thanks for dropping by. Poor service and management.
Google should allow zero stars. This place was horrible. The one in FLOMO is fine.No one greeted us when we walked in. They were there, they saw us, but they just stood around chatting. We sat at the bar… the bartender took a few mins to stop talking and walk over to see what we wanted. I admit, we certainly were a bother to her. Her arrival was less than pleasant.Everyone, but one guy, working was depressing. The blonde bartender was the worst! I think she was the manager. She should have just gone home.Service was horrible, and they were slow! Bartender was on her phone the whole time after our order. There were four tables needing bussing, the bar needed wiped down, our salads sat on the ready table for ten mins. Anything other than her phone would have been understandable. That’s when we left. A waitress, I guess, was vaping in the restaurant, offered it to the bartender like it was a joint. Never washed her hands before serving food.Bartender was surprised when we walked out. This place wouldn’t stay in business in the best location in town and they certainly won’t last more than a few months in this location.
The food i got was good . the waitress working did not want to be there and it was obvious. they also had country music playing in a italian restaurant , looking at the other lower reviews , the unpleasant service seems to be a pattern. which is a shame. i’m a new home builder in the area and was happy to see them reopen. won’t be back .
I kindly told my server that my chicken meatballs were so dry and they weren’t good but that the sauce they came in was very good she proceeded to tell me that they have to be over cooked to be done and that they can’t be cooked medium rare that wasn’t something that I was requesting I just wanted her to be aware that it was very dry and that I wouldn’t recommend it cute she was a knowledge knowledgeable waitress about the menu in that aspect she’s good but excepting a complaint she is not good out at all I was a waitress for 35 years and she needs to be taught a new response thank you Maureen Heston
Never got to try the food so cant comment on that. Had a party of 6 that was seated outside. Host gave us menus, took a phone number for some reason and said a waitress would be out shortly. At least 15 minutes and still no waitress. The place wasnt busy at all and only one other group outside. We finally just left and went to the restaurant next door. An hour later, we walked by there and saw our menus were still on the table where we left them. Maybe they were short staffed but someone needed to at least acknowledge we were there. Definitely wont be back. On the plus side, the Mexican restaurant next door was great!
First time trying this tonight and it is fantastic! We are a pizza loving family (its a weekly order for us) and we like trying different places. Sfereco is definitely one of the best weve ever had. Im not sure what seasoning is used for the crust but it makes them stand out for sure, so good! I wish they offered delivery cause Uber Eats adds to the price, but well definitely be ordering this pizza often. So glad to have this place in Lewisville!
I have received better service at McDonald’s! Host/waitress was incredibly rude. Was on her phone and laptop the entire time never came back to check on me. I had to get the attention of another staff member to go and ask her to bring me the check. There are two other restaurants nearby, I definitely made the wrong choice!
This was our third visit to this Sfereco. Food was excellent as was the service. Had the meatball sampler, all very good. Had garlic bread, also very good. Two different pizzas for the table, all commented some of the best pizza wed eaten. The server was friendly and attentive. Gave her recommendations when asked. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I’m so glad a friend introduced me to this little sweet spot, I’ve been a couple of times and I am sure I’ll be back again. So far I have tried the fried lasagna, roasted salmon and the carciofi pizza and all were great. Our server Krystal was very friendly and informative and Management was very attentive, personable and helpful. I hope this place stays around and I will continue to patronize this business.
Food was good, service so so. Was seated waited 10 mins before the server came over. Table was seated behind us after we sat. Guess server knew them, went to them first talked for 5 minutes and then went got drinks talked again. Looked at us said, Ill be with you in moment and started back with conversation. Finally got over to the table was short with us. Got the cheese balls for an appetizer was very good. Once we order food arrived quickly hot and fresh. Everything tasted great, portion size was not. Got the meatballs and spaghetti. Came with 4 small meatballs and about half a serving of spaghetti. Wasnt enough pasta to eat my meatballs with. Wife got the rigatoni barley any sausage in it. We both left still hungry with a bill for $50 including tip. We really had high hopes for this restaurant as its right down the street from and would be somewhere we visited often. Theyre trying to make it to much of a uptown restaurant. Food was very good though. Will try the pizza if we go back.
We loved the atmosphere inside and out! All of the staff was super friendly and they went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect! The food was wonderful. We had a pizza and the roasted salmon. The menu is larger than we expected. We can’t wait to go back!
Some of the food was very good. The pizza and appetizers, but how does an Italian restaurant serve lasagna with cold spots in it? It was also bland. I think it was an off night and we plan on visiting again, but two strikes and your out, especially for the price. I was very excited to see a cauliflower crust option for the pizza and very glad it was good. Mixed emotions. The Spaghetti Western motif is well done and fun, now if the rest can catch up.
The pizza and lasagna were great. We also tried the beef meatballs. I was disappointed with the meatballs, you get 3 for $9. They werent very tender and definitely not big or good enough to cost $3 each. The decor is cute with framed spaghetti western movie posters. Overall we enjoyed it and will be back. We just wont order meatballs next time.
My friend and I had our first meal at Sfereco Sunday evening at around 8PM. He enjoyed his Toasted Skipper and I my Traditional Beef Lasagna. The service by Lacey S. was excellent. Besides the delicious food, the only two things which were a little disconcerting was the loud music and an unwelcome cockroach crawling across the floor by our table!
Service was awful. The food was pretty terrible also. We had the pizza puffs and they were VERY salty. Our lasagna was cold. The pizza was just ok. I was so excited to try this place, but left extremely disappointed. I will not be back, and will certainly not recommend it.
They were understaffed, which ended in a 30 minute wait, getting ready to leave and another person asked what it would take to have us stay, I responded with getting seated. Food was great. We shared the spaghetti and meatballs after a couple of salads. Ready to go back and hopefully they will be fully staffed.
So excited that Sfereco has opened in Lewisville! What a delightful evening we had. Even the look of the restaurant was cool and relaxing and Wow! Then the food came. You could easily make a meal out of the incredible appetizers - the meatballs, the eggplant and the pizza puffs with the marinara and queso dipping sauces were incredible - but stopping at the appetizers would be a big Rookie mistake. The pizzas are fantastic with flavor profiles that are deliciously different than your standard pizzas. The Chicken Fried Ribeye was incredible and ideal for a big appetite. We were stuffed after all that but still tried two of the desserts - a sweet cream and a tiramisu and they were both amazing! The cocktails were great. The wine was great. And the staff could not have been nicer. From the hostess to the chef to the servers, everyone genuinely made us feel welcome. We will absolutely be back and sooner than later.
This place almost got 5 stars…We went to Sfereco on September 4th to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. The service, food and drinks were incredible. They have a fabulous, large outdoor dining area, kid play area and lots of misting fans. We don’t eat indoors, so this was awesome on a hot Texas evening. Everything was perfect until our food arrived. Sadly so did the swarm of flies. It was so bad that we had to box up our food and go home to finish eating. Upon checkout, the sweet waitress, Krystal, gave my husband a to-go dessert for his birthday.I used the “contact us” option on the company’s website to let them know about how awesome our experience was up until it was ruined due to the flies. I didn’t want compensation and asked for them to let me know what they were going to do about the flies so we could go back. Not sure what happened with my message. Maybe they didn’t get it or maybe they don’t care, but we will give them another chance when it is cooler, and flies aren’t so abundant. We spent about $175 and have no regrets. I think we could easily drop $100+ each visit with all the food, appetizers and drinks on a regular basis but not planning a trip until I know there are no swarms of flies.Like I said they almost got 5 stars and I would have done it if they had responded to my message. 3 stars for lack of response and sad experience, but 5 for the food and service.
Tried this place out and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and our server was very nice. There were a few minor mistakes during our visit, but nothing we couldnt look past and it was well handled by the staff. Theres some fine tuning to be done, but well be back.
I went to try this place for the first time and placed a pick up order on a Friday night. It wasn’t very busy and only took 25 min to prepare my pizza. When we got there to pick up, the person who checked us out wasn’t really friendly and the register wasn’t working. Instead of letting us know what was going on or offering a drink while we wait, she just kept trying our card at different registers. When it finally went through she put the receipt down for us to sign and didn’t say thank you or anything. Guess it was a bad night. The pizza was ok..nothing fantastic. Not somewhere I would recommend and I was just doing a carry out…
This hidden gem of a restaurant is a wonderful mix of good Italian cuisine with the country feel of Texas. With country classics playing in the background, enjoy some amazing meatballs (order great balls of fire!), one of many delicious cocktails, and their delectable entrees (cant go wrong with spaghetti and meatballs). To finish off an amazing meal, save room for the tiramisu! There is outdoor seating either under the brick walled patio or out in the yard with an umbrella. Bring the kids and let them run around the Mound while you enjoy the shaded area. The staff was very attentive, welcoming, great conversation, and showed a real passion for their food. Im hooked! Lewisville is only their second location with many more coming! Come try the newest restaurant in Lewisville before its packed! Its located between Seven Mile Cafe and the new Baja Ritas. Just a stones throw away from the lovely downtown Lewisville strip.
They charged my credit card twice for my lunch on Monday.I called the restaurant on a Thursday, they said the director/owner would call me back. I received no call. I called back again today, was told they were in a meeting.Update - I met with Colton at the restaurant on 8/18. He was apologetic and quickly refunded the additional amount. Thank you for resolving the issue.
We had dinner here and the food was good but management could be way better. Our host Porter ended up being our server. We could tell he was new at serving which was no problem because he was very kind. We couldn’t help but notice that management did nothing to help. As a leader in the business you would want to set and example and help your staff to succeed. Porter was awesome and gave us great service as he really tried for it being something new for him.We also notice that the receipt didn’t have his name (since he is a host and not a waiter) so we ended up tipping cash for his service. I am attaching the receipt to show how his name was not in it.The lady who we assumed was either or manager or owner was also very rude. And as expected my card got charged a tip I did not authorized here is a updated picture
This place has only been open for about 4 weeks, and I wasnt to sure about it at all. Honestly, it turned out to be some of the best food I have eaten around Lewisville and Flower Mound in years👍 I was very surprised 😮 For the price and atmosphere I gave this place 5 out of 5 stars 🌟

2022-03-05A very pleasant restaurant located in downtown Lewisville. A western style decorated place, youll find a good selection of beers and local dishes at reasonable prices. Live music played on Fridays and outdoor seating available. Service was quick and friendly, Id definitely like to come back. Parking available in the street

2021-08-09Great experience. Food portions were a good size. We shared the lunch 3-course meal. Fireballs were a ball of fried cheese. The pizza was decent, but greasy. The fried bread dessert was good. The meatball appetizer was flavorful. Marinara sauce had a good flavor. Tiramisu had a great flavor.

2021-11-11Even though they were short staffed our service was awesome. The orange Cosmo was different but yummy. Would definitely return. Nice set up and atmosphere. I had a spaghetti dinner which was good and had leftovers. Check this place out.

2022-05-07Flavors are nice, crust was just okay. Toppings are fresh but for me the main thing that makes pizza sing is the crust. This was ok. Thin, but chewy.Ill be back to try some other items.

2022-03-12They have REALLY good pizza, and there was live music the night we went. If you like cheese sticks I highly recommend the balls on fire appetizer... its made with pepper jack cheese.

2021-08-28Visited for restaurant week and will definitely be back. Loved the Great Balls of Fire and meatballs but the tiramisu was my favorite! Looking forward to trying the pizza next time because it looked great too.

2022-07-10We loved the food at this restaurant. We ordered breadsticks, meatballs, salads, and spaghetti and meatballs. We got there with a reservation and waited a bit for the lone server who was bartending, hosting , serving, and doing clean up. Way too much for one server. They did have two cooks. We were seated and we got our drink order in. She had a table of maybe 14 with split checks going on. And another table behind us and three came and sat at the bar luckily after the large group left. Had to ask for our bread order and she got it. Again she was doing too much. Food was great and she did get water to my husband and I just shared his while I watched her go through a bunch of tickets. Then she got my tea refill. I asked if short handed and she said this is the way it is. People do apply though. But they needed someone to host , fill glasses and buss tables. We only came with a gift card . We will try the Riverwalk location to see what service is like there. If you overload your severs, it can’t be a happy place for them.

2022-05-08Wonderful restaurant in old town Lewisville. We sat outside on a Saturday night and listened to the live music. Amazing place for families and kids. Ashley was our kind and helpful waitress-we loved all of her suggestions. The Bellini was delicious, and we enjoyed the spinach and artichoke pizza. Highly recommended for families, outdoor seating, and yummy food. A “spaghetti western” restaurant at its finest!

2022-02-08I ordered the shrimp scampi & tiramisu through Uber and Oh. MY. Goodness! It was delish! I almost ate the container it was in. Even with the travel everything was super fresh, great taste, not too greasy. I’ll have to dine in soon. I gobbled the scampi down so you’d just get a picture of an empty container.Ordered again had been craving for some days. Sadly, not consistent.
