2018-06-07This is a divided field where people are given a piece of land to plant whatever they want. I saw tomatoes, lettuce, squash, cucumbers, potatoes watermelon and many more. While you work the land as a volunteer, you have your little space. It is an awesome experience and opportunity. I saw people sharing their crops with their neighbor farmers. If you dont know how to work the land, no problem there is someone kind enough to teach you. The owners are really nice. It is a blessed place! Come and visit, you wont regret it.

2017-06-20This place is brilliant. Im so in love, particularly with the chickens! Sign up anytime to receive a free garden plot for you and your family to tend and care for. The staff is incredibly dedicated and caring, always available to lend a hand or answer any questions. Come on Saturday mornings and help with the harvest that supports the local soup kitchens!

2021-05-07I think this place is so kind and beautiful! I love the idea of this community garden! And the fact that the vegetables and produce are donated to the local food pantries and soup kitchens in Denton! From what I understand you can volunteer to plant things in the garden to help the community as well! I love that this is the largest Community Garden in the United States! This is a great way to help people and make a difference! I am definitely interested in volunteering this summer!

2020-09-06This is a 14.5 acre community garden, making it the largest in the United States. All the fruits and vegitables are donated to food pantries, kitchens and ministries that feed people who suffer from food insecurity. They are a public charity, so they could use help both financially and in the garden.

2018-01-27Shiloh Field Community Center is a very nice place to visit. They offer a free lot to start planting whatever you want to plant. To keep it nice make sure you maintain what you put in the lot, so that they dont have to clean it up. But this place is very peaceful when you want it to be.
