A cool place with cool people, one of corpus christis most iconic stores among musicians.
The best music store in Texas. These guys are the nicest and most helpful in the business. Ive known Robert A. (Manager) for a long time and have been a Sound Vibrations customer as long as I can remember. My wife Eva and I would go by and Robert never failed and always delivered when it came to getting me exactly what I was looking for and always at the best price. Just by going into Sound Vibrations, I became great friends with Robert and he, along with his staff have always made us feel so welcomed and valued as a customer. I shop no where else but Sound Vibrations for my Guitars and Amps. Trust me, shop here for all things musical, no need to go anywhere else - Jim

Ive driven by this place and admired the mural a bunch of times (I really love the way it looks under the lights at night). Today was the fist time I had a reason to go inside. I have always had a great experience at this place. The staff has always been friendly and helped me with what I needed. I am a drummer and being a drummer in corpus it can be a little tough at times to find what you need. these guys always tried their best to find what they did have in stock to make it work. They are local and This is my first stop when I’m trying to find something for my kit.

Sound Vibrations is hands-down the best music store in South Texas. Robert always steers me straight when it comes to equipment selection and James always does a great job servicing my instruments. Very friendly and knowledgeable crew over there, and it’s nice that they service what they sell directly onsite. They always match prices I find for stuff online, so I never even bother going anywhere else. Thanks for everything!!!
After walking in to get strings changed, the clerk did not react well to seeing my Babicz guitar, stating that they didnt know how to change the strings on it. Since it is an unusual guitar, this did not surprise me, but the clerks attitude definitely did. I am in the market for a Taylor Acoustic guitar, and once I had purchased strings I was not approached by ANY of the workers to see if I needed anything or had any questions. As a manager in an OReilly Auto Parts store, the lack of customer service was extremely noticeable and appalling.

They also have a great selection of instruments and accessories. Dont bother with guitar center anymore...these people are far more helpful and knowledgeable!

I remember the very first time I went in to sound vibrations. I was 14 and getting my first guitar. As soon as we walked through the doors we were met by a gentleman who made us feel comfortable and had this unlimited amount of knowledge. Oh how the times change. I went back there for the first time in a few years and when I walked through the door I didnt even get a hello. The inventory was decent if you only want to jam on fender electric guitars. They had a really nice acoustic section, but it was also really expensive. So on that note I think Ill just continue doing business at guitar center. Where they have people who actually want to help out their customers.

Took my steel string inside to evaluate its condition. It is kinda old and didnt look well, but checked it in and they helped me out really fast. Turns out it just needed new strings. Tuners and bridge were all fine condition, just a little dry on the fret-board. They went ahead restrung the strings and oiled the bridge. Glad to have honest workers with a great vibe. Cant recommend them enough. Bought a kazoo and a capo just because I was pleased with the service. Keep up the great work!
Awesome music store. They have an amazing selection of... well just about everything. Bit tough to shop as most items dont have a price tag, but sales staff is helpful. They also offer an extended 1 year warranty on everything for no extra charge. Nice.

I am 44 years old and my dad started taking me here YEARS ago when I was a kid! We are always greeted with a smile and a hello even when its crazy busy! The gang at Sound Vibrations is spot on!! They were recommended to me by a couple friends. I am brand new to this and had so many questions. Additionally my guitar just did not sound right. In 2 mins they had diagnosed dead stringswrong string being the issue and fixed her up with new strings! The whole process took less then 15 min!! They also took the time to give me tips on programs, what strings do what and what I can expect as I learn how to play. SUPER knowledgeable and the whole experience was awesome!! Very friendly wokers ,daughter had broke a string on her guitar and being quarantine she needed to play. They where very helpful and fixed it while we waited in the car. They where very fast and there was no charge.Thank you so much and Happy Easter.
Great throwback to the pre-Guitar Center era, almost like an Austin shop. Nice selection of guitars, mostly retail price, but lots of choices - electric and acoustic. Recently bought a strap here, friendly assistance by employees.Funny story: I was dressed in a vintage jean jacket and unshaven and I was mistaken for an employee! An older gentleman asked me the price for one of the items and I gladly obliged. Still no paycheck..
The best for service. When I lived in Alice and CC, I was so grateful to have these guys around. Anytime I needed adjustments or pickups swapped out, Robert A. was the man to see. He listened closely to how I wanted my pickups wired and set and if it wasnt quite right, he adjusted it without complaint. I never felt like a bother. Thanks to Robert and the crew, I have my gear sounding better than ever before.

Sound Vibrations is heaven for any experienced musician or beginners. They have a big selection of instruments, and so many guitars it was overwhelming, but they were very helpful and helped me pick out a beautiful Taylor guitar. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

You can find extremely great deals here, but being that it is a local store you get the safety of satisfaction guaranteed or have the great return/repair policies as a national chain store would offer. Staff here is super amazing and will strive to help you find what you need %100.

Great experience, i went in this evening to purchace a randy rhoads guitar hardshell case, it was a decent price and it was in stock, i have always gon there to purchase items since i was young , 12 y/o . Im 44 now and i still love this place. Great owners and staff. I am die hard to sound vibes.
Nice staff, but the same prices as everyone else. I wanted to buy a bass amp, but they didnt have the one I wanted in stock. Some sales guy took my phone number and promised to call me when he got one in the store. Six weeks passed and I never heard back from him. Oh well. Guitar Center took care of me.UPDATE 8-18-2018At the behest of Robert I decided to give Sound Vibrations another chance. I used their websites Contact Us form to send them a message about possibly fixing a broken amp I have. I sent the message last weekend (Sunday) and its now Friday night and I have yet to receive a response. For this reason I deducted another star on their rating overall. Apparently they will sell you only what they have in stock, wont order anything for you, wont call you back, and dont respond to their own website questions. I was truly hoping to have someone reach out about the amp because I also wanted to buy some new cymbals. Instead, I searched the Guitar Center website today and found what I was looking for. I am now getting two used cymbals sent to me from two different GC stores and I should have them by Tuesday. Before buying from GC I did take time to search the Sound Vibrations site. Its just a mish-mash of drum items all on one page. Theres no way to filter out what you want to search for. I love buying local and helping local businesses, but SV has fallen flat twice in a row. The only other local store (Music Mart) is a joke and horribly overpriced, so I will just say that. I wanted SV to win me back, but I guess GC will be my go-to for music gear from now on.

Took my guitar in for a new nut and restring. Took Sound Vibrations 3 months to do a job that I was told would take 2 weeks. I never received a phone call to let me know that it was done. When I called about it they had the audacity to still charge me for the work. They think it was satisfying enough to give me a %25 discount. I will never take my guitars or anything else for that matter there again.

Awesome store. Ive bought several instruments and countless gear from here! Shout out to both Roberts and Jacob for being very helpful when I go into there.
I have a Vox AC30C2 amplifier that is a couple of months old. It was under warranty, but I had purchased it from an on line music store. I was told that the nearest Vox dealer was in San Antonio; so that meant driving 260 miles round trip to deliver my amp to be repaired, and driving 260 miles round trip to collect it when it was repaired. I called Sound Vibrations in Corpus Christi and spoke with their amp repairman, Buddy. Buddy told me that he was an authorized Vox repair tech and to bring my amp in and let him take a look. Well, Buddy had my amp fixed in 4 days and ready to go, and there was no charge to me because it was under warranty. I was amazed at the quick service, and the fact that my amp sounds better than when I first bought it. I am very impressed with the superior service provided by Buddy at Sound Vibrations! Buddy is a very knowledgeable amp technician and he will get all of my future business. I highly recommend Buddy to anyone who has problems with an amp, or other electrical components. Forget driving to San Antonio--take your business to Buddy at Sound Vibrations! Sound Vibrations is THE BEST music store in Corpus Christi that offers the best deals on new guitars, amps, and all musical instruments. If you want to buy something new, talk with either of the 2 Roberts at Sound Vibrations. If you have something broken and needs repairs, talk to Buddy at Sound Vibrations. Came here to get some new headphones and cord for a mic. They let me try on some sample headphones till I found one I was satisfied with. I had also grabbed the wrong cord and when I came back to exchange it they said they didnt have any of the type that I need and said they would make me one. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I just want to say thanks to Robert for fixing my sons bass..about a week ago we pulled up 15 mins till closing and stated to him we needed some minor repairs done...we werent sure he could even get to it..he did say he had quite a few repairs in front of us and probably couldnt get to it soon..we stated that we needed the bass for the weekend since my son was playing at the Jazz Festival..he took the guitar apart and did who knows what to it..he did a quick repair in like 20 minutes..thanks to him my son was able to play ..we appreciate it Rob..u didnt have to do that for us but u did and that was awesome

2022-06-12I moved here from Austin recently and wanted to look at PRS guitars (Strat guy). There was a lone CE 24 on the wall. I tried it out, liked it, and bought it. This is a great guitar shop. Very diverse inventory, anything from entry to the best Taylor on the market. Been to a lot of guitar shops, but this one is the best IMO. For repairs or to buy a new axe, this is the place to go.

2020-02-17Saved an old hondo electric guitar from the dunpster and replaced the broken tremolo block and string nut.I took it into Sound Vibrations for help on figuring out if it still worked ( I didnt have an amp at the time). The staff were really helpful and welcoming and tested the guitar out for me and suggested I replace the jack port, and one of the dead pots. They ultimately suggested that if I am replacing one pot then I might as well replace them all, but they werent pushy about it and left it up to me to make that call. They even gave me some free replacement knobs since the guitar was missing one!I decided to take their advice, bought the repair parts there and soldered it all together the next weekend.Ultimately, the repairs worked and the guitar works and sounds great for an old 90s Hondo! Took it back to show it off and bought an amp from them too!Overall, its a great local music shop that does its own repairs in house, can sell you replacement parts, and they even service amps and what not! Yeah you might spend 10% more on some things than at a big box store like guitar center, but this place is local and these people know their stuff and are very helpful.The only down side I experienced was that while they were looking for my replacement parts, the main technician got into an argument with another staff member about how disorganized the parts drawers had become and how it was causing him trouble to find the parts he was looking for. They ultimately got me what I needed, but as a first time customer there it was a little awkward to say the least.

2020-11-0110 stars if I could!! These guys were great! Jacob was super knowledgeable and very pro. He played a few things for me on the EVH III head I was looking at and I was sold. Great customer service, friendly staff, total rockstars in my book. I used to work in a drum store just like this and it felt like I was at home. Thanks guys!!

2018-05-27Best local music store with a friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Plus a huge inventory of the best quality gear. I have been shopping here since 1983. Im still playing same favorite Fender and Gibson guitars and Fenders amps I bought right here. When necessary, I always get repairs and problems solved quickly and inexpensively.

2021-08-28Received great customer service from all the staff, they make you feel very welcomed. Highly recommend! I had my speaker repaired, which didn’t take long at all. My speaker is back to sounding like new. Thank you to the amazing team at sound vibrations.
