Ive very appreciative for the exceptional customer service that I received from Lee and his wife at Southwest Alignment. Theyre two of the nicest down-to-earth people that Ive ever met. Lees a master at his craft. Hes very meticulous and takes pride in his work; caring for my vintage BMW e30 as if it were his own. Im so glad that I discovered this place on the internet. I highly recommend Southwest Alignment. Its by far, the go to place for expert quailty service. Thank you Southwest Alignment! I WILL BE BACK!!!
I will never give my business to another alignment shop, this shop is the real deal, proper tools and all, they don’t JUST rely on lasers, they actually manually measure.Lee and the office assistant did a great job on following up with me and scheduling me in,Lee contacted me thru out the process and let me know what all had to be adjusted on my lifted super duty truck with over sized all terrain tires, he made sure the perfect air pressure was in the tires , check to see how the tires are wearing and advised to rotate my tires every 5k miles,They close at 5-6pmLee stayed till 8:30 finishing up my truck and another clients, he asked if it was ok to work late on my truck.Money well spent. They are lowered bagged dropped car/ truck friendly too
I hope the owner is reading this, YOU BETTER HOLD ON TIGHT TO LEE & HIS WIFE (so sad I didn’t get her name) AND GIVE THEM A RAISE 🗣🙃🙂. Such a great experience. I usually feel antsy bringing my son (he’s one… adventurous and loud which can be annoying to some) the woman at the front desk made us feel MORE than welcomed & comfortable. Lee is awesome, VERY knowledgeable, and honest.
Went there 5-7 years ago and they helped me get and alignment on my car. They were knowledgeable in attempting to fix something most shops deemed impossible, they understood my need to get my car fixed without hurting my pockets. I recommended my mother come here and do the same and she got a nearly unbeatable price on the alignment for her new vehicle. So for the record this review counts as two.
Got my alignment done here for a Audi Q5. Went here because of the great reviews they had. Boy was it a disappointment - the rates they offer seem pretty reasonable but I would rather pay 40 more dollars and get it done from the dealership correctly then going back and forth with them. My sterling wheel is still crooked. Take your business somewhere else.
Honest, Good people!! Will come here from now on! Lee takes time to explain everything!! He is alittle rough but is straight forward. Good place to get an alignment!! They also do brakes!! When you get your alignment they give your vehicle an inspection checking your shocks ball joints and so forth as well which gives you peace of mind!!
After looking around and reading reviews I decided to bring my 2014 BMW in for a alignment after replacing a tire and rotation, friendly informative staff and a quick service. Price was awesome compared to dealership and euro shops. But what sealed the deal was the way the service guy interacted with a customer who had obviously use them before , I was impressed (which it not an easy task) I will be using southwest for my other cars and future work on my BMW, great job guys!!!
They only had one mechanic working and were able to squeeze my car in and get in done very quickly. When I came to pick up my car he took the time to explain the work done and how I can make sure to keep my car in better alignment moving forward. Very happy with the service!
This is an honest, hard-working, and transparent shop that specializes in alignments, and is passionate about what they do. I brought my 2018 Accord to them for a second opinion, after my Honda dealer claimed it could not be aligned and tried to sell me $2000 of unnecessary suspension work based on bogus printouts. Southwest had no problem aligning it! The manager is super cool, and educated me on what I needed to know to pursue a complaint with the dealer. The front desk staff is very friendly too. On top of all that, a 4 wheel alignment at Southwest Alignment was only half the price of a 2-wheel alignment at the dealer! They even use the same machines. I will be bringing my wifes car here and telling my friends. (This review was not solicited, and I am not related to or personal friends with anyone who works here.)
Inquired on Monday and Lee called me back. Had a few questions about the car and told me to come on by. Not only were they super friendly AND fast, they were cheap too! 100% recommend to anyone. Especially if you have a modified car. They also explained exactly what they adjusted and little things I can do to get the most out of my remaining tread on my tires.
Excellent service, wait time was minimal but i highly suggest calling before you go. I took my vehicle to their shop yesterday and they aligned it perfectly. Supreme customer service, the lady at the office explained the procedure and eased my concerns. Their prices are fair and reasonable, in some cases highly affordable for quality work.
I’ve been to this place a number of times over the years for 3 different lifted trucks alignments. I took my 2019 lifted truck there to clean up my alignment, it had already been attempted by another place near me, but Southwest had always made it perfect, so off I went.Well after two different attempts, steering wheel is still not centered, pulls slightly to the left and likes to wonder on non-prefect roads, I won’t be going back. I gave it two stars because it once was a great place.
Always on point! Been coming and recommending people here for years. Always attentive and committed to getting your alignment right 100%. Front desk receptionist is very polite, and she explains everything that they will be doing to your vehicle, the cost and warranty before they even start. Very straight forward, and highly recommended!
I came to do the alignment of my wheels. Very good place I have to say. The personnel is very attendant and professional. They also let you know any other near fix you should do, in a way you are in mind with the state of your car. All in English and also Spanish. Recommended 100%
Called this company out of the blue requesting an appointment for what I thought was need for an alignment. Technician asked a few questions about make, model, mileage and my issue...but then told me I didn’t need an alignment. What my issue was typical of that brand of vehicle. Very honest and I told him so. Has to be recommended.
I would give this shop 6 out of 5 stars if it was possible. This is one of the most honest, knowledgeable and fairly priced shops I have had the pleasure of dealing with. The receptionist at the front is very kind and welcoming. There are a few mechanics but I believe the lead mechanic (or maybe manager) is Lee. I have seen Lee explain their car problems to other customers and I was impressed. He speaks concisely and is straight forward. You can tell Lee has a passion for his work and truly cares about his customers and their vehicles. They charge $60 for alignment on most vehicles. Most shops will charge you between 80 and 100 dollars. I just spoke with them regarding replacing some parts of my suspension that I was told were bad during an oil change at one of those “express” oil change places. They quoted me about $1,200 for the repair. I thought the price was high and decided to get a few more opinions. One shop quoted me $2,500 for the work! How much was the quote at southwest alignment? About $700! That is almost 1/4th the price! It is also includes a lifetime parts warranty. If you are reading this review in hopes of finding a fair and honest suspension/alignment shop, look no further! Southwest Alignment is the best!
I had recently needed an alignment and went to a place that I was referred to by a friend. I drove out of there with my truck WORSE than it was originally. Luckily, I found this place and got my truck driving just right. They even called the next day to check on how everything was running. Highly recommend amazing service!
I have a 2003 ram 1500 Lowered two inches in the front with coil Springs.Took it to a shop buy my house they could not get the alignment right, it looked awful and he was eating up my tires. So I drove 25 miles to the other side of town to this shop.Well worth the trip they were very friendly and professional. They went out of their way to explain and made sure I understood everything. It’s been two months now and over 1000 miles since I had my alignment. The tracking is straight and I see absolutely no signs of wear on my tires. And you know what they charged me the same as the shop they couldn’t get my alignment right. I’m sure there are many other shops that would charge you a premium for a custom alignment. So yes my experience was great.
Excellent service from Lee (shop manager)! Tried this place from the recommendations and hands down, it definitely is the place to go for alignment needs. They were professional, honest, helpful, detail-oriented, efficient, and did not pressure you. I really appreciated the time Lee took to diagnose my issue and explaining to me what was needed and what was performed once completed. The diagnostic service is a great price, as well as the alignment (if needed) compared to all other shops. I will definitely be back!
Absolutely the best car service Ive received EVER in my life time.Time frames - I had 4-5 cars ahead of me, but they got me on the lift in what felt like 30 minutes. All of the employees Ive encountered are 100% polite and knowledgeable. One person talks to you on what needs to be done, the same person picks up your car and test drives it, same person does the work, consults with you on parts and work required, rings your out and shakes your hand on the way out. There is no disconnect through some service manager that doesnt know whats been done to the car, no 3rd party to communicate though - awesome way to do it.Show me another place that will let the customer hover over the tech and ask questions and look over the work without it being an issue? I got to hang out under the lift, talk to them about the mods I did and the reason I brought it in - got expert advice in return and work quality thats superb. All the work was completed fast, properly. Best feeling ever getting your car back knowing that its been done right. This was my first time here and these guys have definitely earned my trust and business for life.Would recommend to anybody!
No quality control. After getting alignment service at this place, I discovered metal knocking noise on rear suspension of my car on second day. So I took it back to them, and they were trying to tell me that it’s not the alignment related problem, and probably I hit something on the road, which was not true. Lady at the front desk, is very unprofessional, yelling, and trying to ask me technical questions, trying to make me confuse and not to perform recheck or do the refund. So at the end, it was incorrectly performed alignment, and manager tried to tell me that I hit a curb or something else, which is not true again. Will never use them again, since they put you in danger when doing the alignment the wrong way!
I was having a rough day at work, but my visit here really turned my day around... totally unexpected. Lee was very knowledgeable, amicable, and honest. Excellent customer service, great prices (3% discount for cash, too), and great workmanship. My car feels and handles very well now. You can tell these people take pride in their work and service. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you, Lee!
This place in s great. They know what they are doing and can work with aftermarket performance suspension. Lee is very knowledgeable and took the time to talk to me about how I wanted my suspension set. It can get a bit busy here on the weekends so come early. On a Monday, late morning, the wait was about an hour. Totally worth the drive from across town to come to a shop that does the job right.
Just went to get an alignment for my camaro, took 20 minutes alignment still off went to eat came back, crossed my tires and still didn’t fix the guy barely explained and gave attitude I payed $70 for an alignment that didn’t align anything my steering wheel is still crooked and car still pulls to the left if anything it pulls worse than before the alignment!! Then I went to discount tire to get my tires rotated which still didn’t fix the problem. In conclusion I came for a fix and left with something worse. Help!
Believe everything you hear coming from the rave reviews. Ive gone to these guys twice for my car (once for bearing repair and another for a checkup) and the amount you pay is pennies for the amount of knowledge you get about your car. These people make an honest living and you can tell how enthusiastic and knowledgeable they are about almost anything from the tires, to the suspension..I feel like I could ask them anything and theyd have answer for me. They also seek your best interest rather than see you as a money pit they can just grab in to - these guys are looking for lifelong customers. To give you some retrospect, I do know how to do the basic things with my car, but when it gets to inner workings I consult a professional. The first time I came, I suspected something with my bearings were off due to the loud noises and research online. It wasnt cheap, but I would say it was very fair. I also got the run-down on what was wrong/how it was fixed and a lot of things which would make this review way too long. The second time was just an inspection due to loud clanking noises I was hearing. The car was brought in and the inspection fee was paid, but the repair was relatively easy (think loose nut), therefore they only charged me for the inspection fee and even explained to me how I could fix it myself - talk about honest!Shout out to Lee - that man knows his stuff backwards and forwards.
Professional, down to earth, and honest. I went in convinced I had alignment issues. After they spent some time checking it thoroughly they informed me that my car was aligned properly and that my issue was tire related. Changed my tires and everything was smooth after that. They Only charged me a $20 inspection and sent me on my way. Saved me money through their integrity. Great place
I needed a alignment done and wanted to get it done quick so my new tires wouldnt wear down, I was told by pep boys I needed to get a alignment with camber bolts put in, was quoted hundreds of dollars that I did not have. I remeber my mom coming here years ago and how great they did with her alignment, I can say Im not disappointed at all! Lee and Juan took great care of my car and it feels great to drive again!
Great recent experience! Got tires swapped and alignment done on my Camry in a little over an hour. I called around looking for the best place to do it all at lower cost and quickly and this was the best deal! Other places either do not swap tires or it takes them half a day to complete with higher price! Im taking my wifes car there next.
Southwest Alignment is known for quality frontend work. They aligned my 4x4 Suburban and also let me know a front wheel bearing needed replacing. The technician, Lee, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the necessary adjustments. Truck no longer pulls to the right and the noise from bad bearing is gone. Highly recommend this business.
I was in the auto repair business years ago and UNTIL TODAY, I was unable find a shop that treated me as well as I treated my customers. The service here was absolutely impeccable, fast, and extremely efficient. Before I could fill out the work order my truck was test driven, and on the rack! I was then invited out into the shop to see what the problems were with my alignment. I was able to stay to watch Paco align my vehicle, step by step, and we went on the test drive together to be certain it was aligned correctly! I cannot recommend them more, and this was the best $80 I have spent in a while. Thank you Greg and Paco!
Everyone in a 2 mile radius was charging 100 bucks for a foreign car, SW alignment was nearly half the price. I Stepped inside to a welcoming/Family like environment by a dude with a great attitude and he asked me what was going on with my car before we agreed to anything. Best Auto Service Houston has to offer.
Took my wifes Acura MDX here for an alignment only to discover they are not capable of doing it. 1st time, drove off and car was pulling to the right. Was not pulling at all prior to taking it here. Returned so they can fix it. Started pulling worst and steering wheel off centered. Returned a 3rd time only to be told this was the last try and this vehicle was difficult to align due to steering wheel sensor. Left after 3rd time & still pulling to the right w/ steering wheel off centered. Decided not to go back. Took it to Kennedy Auto Solutions in Tomball, & they got it perfect the first time. Maybe they really are not capable of aligning MDXs. Pay attention to the bad reviews on here.
Good friendly professional staff. The staff will carefully inspect suspension before performing alignment. If there is something wrong they will not perform alignment. There is a $20 fee if you elect not to fix the problem through them. They will give you a detailed estimate. Most stock vehicles are $60 for alignment.
Took a while to find time to get my Huracan here for alignment because the owner told me it was first come first serve. Owner told me to be early because a Huracan takes time to do and he would spend 1 to 2 hours on it. Found a day I was free and arrived at 7am to get in line. He got my car on the rack and literally spent about 8 minutes on it. I saw the red on the screen but he just said its okay... its a Lambo Paid him $200 (upcharge for exotic car), drove off and next day alignment still off. Basically took my $200 to work on it for less than 10 minutes. All that talk on the phone prior about it taking time on an exotic car and needing special attention was all fake. Owner of shop barely spent time on it. Ever since the old owner sold the business to the new owner, the work is sloppy. If you want a real alignment and not an upcharge for having an exotic car, take it to Backyard Auto.Owners response says that it wasnt me because they have not done a Huracan in 4 months which is true. The alignment was done a year ago. The review is just now posting. Yes, it was Southwest Alignment. I have been to this many times before with the old owner. Tall guy. Now the new owner is shorter with tattoos. We have the receipt as well. Ill be sure not to delete this review. Do better work next time. Thanks.
They did an alignment on my 2002 Superduty 3 years ago, they did an excellent job and it cost $70. Called today to see if I could bring it by to get an alignment again. They asked me question after question about all the details of the truck, it was annoying. The truck is lifted with custom wheels, the price kept going up. Something changed over there, probably ownership or management. I told the guy they did an alignment on it 3 years ago and nothing has changed on the truck, It was a run around,He could have simply quoted me the typical price and expected wait time, thats all I wanted to know.. Very disappointed because they were so nice and helpful 3 years ago.
This is the second time I have used these guys. They are the BEST at alignments. The first time was with my F250 that I had just put a lift on. That was about a year ago. Yesterday I was there for my daughters Mercedes C230 that was pulling to the right. They straightened it out perfectly and installed two front tires as well. I thought the prices were reasonable and driving home the smooth car that drove in a straight line made it all worth it.
The worst alignment shop in Houston. I took my car for an alignment and they told me that my frame need to be adjusted. I took my car to the ex-employees who was working there and left the place to open there own place. They did an alignment again and there was nothing wrong with the frame at all and the cause was a totally wrong alignment at Southwest Alignment. Avoid Southwest Alignment. The ex-employees are very honest and professional people. I highly recommend them!
These guys knew what was wrong with my Mercedes after a 10 minute examination. They ordered the parts and did the extensive repairs while I waited. I was shocked at the price, only $100. You can’t beat these guys on price, service and level of expertise. Highly recommended.
After going to one of the chain tire stores, getting a $1000+ quote for an alignment because how bad the alignment was off, SWA was able to do a good job without replacing a bunch of parts, and told me that they could get the last little bit taken care of if they could first order a cheap part. I felt they were both honest and very competent.
I recommend de alignment. The head technician and his wife run the place. Very friendly to customers. The mechanic will talk to you and explain things to you as a female without being condescending if you’re like me and know little about cars. They don’t keep records so you must save your receipt that’s the only negative. Other than that, I’d recommend.
I brought my vehicle here for an alignment and not only did the mechanics find a problem that could have caused much more damage in the future but they were upfront and honest with me as far as the severity and the cost of the fix. The owner(?) called the parts store with me there and wrote out everything so I didnt feel like I was getting scammed. You cannot beat them on price, service or product. Wont go anywhere else from now on.
I found this place on Bimmerfest forums, and decided to get my BMW 328i aligned. As you walk into this place there is young nice lady greeting you with a nice big smile at the front desk and who also happens to be extremely knowledgable about the alignment process. The guy who did the alignment also explained the whole thing to me and showed me what are my options before doing anything to it. They did exactly what my car needed. I just took it out for a spin and it feels great, its aligned properly and feels like a brand new car again. It just perfectThe place is not as fancy as a dealership but the staff is super nice, there is a vending machine for drinks and a small clean waiting area. This place have one thing that most shops in Houstong dont have EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICEDont waste any money at BMW Dealerships.Come right over here and they take care of it for $80 (Usually its $70 but my car is lowered)NO DEALERSHIP CAN BEAT THESE PRICESIT ALSO OFFERS HIGH QUALITY WORK
Both my husband and I recommend this place. This place is not only a money saver but a time saver, and this is coming from a person who drove over an hour to get here! They don’t take appointments and we walked in at about 3:45 (Saturday) and they were busy and still saw us. The first time we came here was after a horrible experience at a different place 3 months prior to trying out this place, we had to get our vehicle realigned after such a short time because our tires got badly worn out (after 5 hours of them actually working on it, I don’t even think they knew what they where doing). But this place left our baby good for the amount of time they said it would which is why we are back and will continue to come back. This is definitely our spot to get this kinda work done on our truck that is 4x4 with lift kit, which not just anyone can work ( we learned that the hard way).
We just left here for an alignment with our BMW. We had our small children with us. We were blown away by their professionalism from the first phonecall to the speedy service and friendly wait with Teana at the front desk! I will recommend them to my friends and relatives.
I have a hard time understanding some of the negative reviews on this shop.My car had an annoying pull to the right for over 4 years now. The big shops like Firestone either said that the alignment is within specs, or that the rear camber cannot be adjusted. Or at times they simply said that everything is good with the alignments.I had independent shops tell me that it is my tires that are a problem. Considering that I just had 4 new tires installed two weeks prior to this ridiculous statement. My point is simple, Lee at Southwest Alignment fixed my alignment!!!! For the first time in over 4 years, my car is driving straight again!I have come to respect Lee. His attitude is refreshing. He is a straight shooter and does not have time to mix words. This is refreshing to say the least. He tells you like it is. His knowledge wont allow him to simply make something up nor will he try to sell me something that I truly dont need.I have learned the hard way throwing money away that not all alignment shops are the same. If you go to a shop based on price, you will get exactly what you paid for. Southwest Alignment prices are extremely fair. And I would rather invest in quality.God knows that my car will need future work due to the miles that I put on it. But, I am more than grateful and more that comfortable to bring my car into Lee and Southwest alignment.Lee, OUTSTANDING JOB!!!!
I was experiencing like a loud helicopter sound in my front end for about a couple of weeks. I called SW Alignment and before I could finish, Lee had figured out my problem. Lee was very helpful and informative, explaining everything he repaired and showed me the old parts. I am very happy and satisfied. I will definitely be a returning customer. THANK YOU for everything Lee!
I received prompt, professional and courteous service. Greg came out to my car to assist my friend and I who are both in wheelchairs to get in from the heat. He ordered my part and completed the work on my tire in a reasonable amount of time for a fair price. I will be back and I will recommend to my friends.
Went there as car was drifting right, they charged me but problem was not fixed.. went again..one more time at the end said they cannot fix the issue, but charged me again for the alignment. .. then went to another place, they said nothing wrong it was not alignment issue but steering was not straight and they finally fixed. poor service even cant diagnose properly
Recommended by my mechanic. Took my Miata there after getting new sport springs & shocks and set of tires for autocross. Mechanic said it was badly out of alignment. The team here dialed it in perfectly. Car handles great! Service was friendly and professional with a bit of levity too. Thanks guys.
Awesome place.meet Tianna in the front desk shes very nice, ask how can she help me.ask her if they do bmw all wheel drive alignment, and said yes.ask how much they charge and said $70.i thought I didnt hear it right but its really$70.finish the car . Tianna explain what did they adjust in the car professionally. Drive the car home runs great.Awesome job.highly recomemded.Im very satisfied.better than the bmw dealer .
I used to do business with these professionals. I can honestly day it is one of the least professional shops i have ever worked with. The people in the office constantly talk down to the mechanics. Several times when making deliveries there, nobody knew who ordered the parts or what they were for. Most of the time i would show up with an order and they wouldnt even have the money to pay for the part. The owner hit on me a couple of times (which was really uncomfortable for me). I can tell the inner workings of the shop are chaotic. That having been said, they have a great selection of rims, which is a plus.
Brought my car in for an alignment. In and out with no issues. I had another shop try and do the alignment before and they said I needed a list of parts. Decided to get a second opinion and came here referred by a friend. Couldnt be happier avoiding getting ripped off. Highly recommend!
This place is a Houston institution. Ive used them many times over the years, as do many others including dealerships. I had my f250 done recently, and while the alignment is fine per second, the steering wheel wasnt centered even though I specifically requested it. It also took way longer than it shouldve for a basic front wheel toe adjustment. Then I still had to climb under the truck to center the steering wheel.
These guys are the best, I went in to get a 4wheel allignment which would have cost me 60 dollars, after the store mgr checked it, he said I needed tire rotation not allignment. He was nice enough to tell me where I could get it done at a cheaper rate ,,even he could have done I for me for 60 dollars. I larer got it done for 20 dollar. Trisha at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Thy are professionals who know their job and very truthful too.
Ill keep this review short and to the point.I brought my compact, 4dr sedan, with no lift or mods here to this shop to get an alignment. It was a Saturday (which is their busiest day) and so I had about 3 people ahead of me which made it about a 45 min wait until they would actually see my car, after that they say about 30 mins to do the work.Well, in my experience, they did everything from start to finish in under an hour. Color me impressed. Tianna & Lee (The shop owners, I presume?) are so nice and friendly that it really ties the experience together and makes me feel well serviced. To boot, this alignment was the best Ive had. After changing the tires, getting them balanced, then changing the brakes & rotors, the car drove alright. After getting my alignment done here, my car drives like when I first bought it. I honestly cant say that about any other alignment Ive ever had done before. So in conclusion:Staff is very friendly.Service is quick.Price is right (in my case, it was $60 with a 6 month/6000 miles Warranty, which is an excellent value; if you dont believe me, call around and see.)Rating: A++Bonus point: I left my laptop bag in the waiting room and Tianna did me the courtesy of calling me back to let me know it was safe and in her care. Shes awesome! Major kudos to her! Thank you, Tianna!EDIT: Name correction. Changed Tiana to Tianna.
I personally did the work of lifting my son’s truck over the weekend. I had to use it to work the next day and it was squealing when I put the brake. I called Lee (and his wife) and he will take care of it. I was skeptical but he did wonders and the truck drives like it was new, he told me to bring it back after 500 miles of driving and he will RE check the alignment and any concern I have without extra charge. You figure it out, is this the kind of place you want to bring your car? Hell YES
I went to Southwest Alignment today. After waiting approximately 5 minutes the female receptionist that works the counter came in without wearing a mask. This is during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.I asked if she wore a mask since there is a pandemic and Texas is one of the worst states with infection rates. She simply said with a smirk No, we dont wear masks here!I left immediately. If they are willing to subject their customers to a greater chance of becoming infected with Covid-19, then they should to be closed by the city!I went to another shop that respects the health of their customers and got my wheels aligned. It isnt worth risking your health or that of your family due to blatant ignorance or politics or both, for a wheel alignment!
Lee is a stand up guy. Brought my 2008 TL for alignment. I had a print out from another shop and instead of taking my money, told me that my alignment is fine and that the adjustment cant be done. Any other shop would have taken the money and do another alignment. Thank you Lee
Excellent shop! Fixed my 2012 F250s alignment in about a hour and a half! I had taken it to 2 shops before this and no one could get it right and straighten my wheel.I highly recommend this shop, everyone there was pretty friendly too. They let me stand there and watch everything too. I hate being told that I cannot be in the shop.
If you want a cheap fast alignment this is the place. If you want a proper alignment go anywhere else, this place has good reviews...by people that dont know what a good alignment is or have a newer and or easy vehicle to align. The owner and the cashier are rude, tried talking to me like I dont know what Im talking about. I was an alignment tech for 2 years, I know how to align a vehicle and I know it takes more than 20 to 30 mins to get a vehicle to drive straight. Its not always about getting the numbers in the green, its about letting the wheel go and you steering wheel being straight as well as your car not pulling.*Owner tries to make himself seem like a legit people person (replying to all bad reviews)which is bs btw. Dont bother replying like you give a crap aj.
They did an alignment on my BMW. The next day a light came on warning me there was an adaptive headlight failure. I took it back to the shop and was told it was coincidental at best and they didnt even bother to take a look. After 400$ at the BMW dealership, i was told that a module had come unplugged while they were moving the fender well and only had to be plugged back in.
I went in for an alignment and they found a number of problems that needed to be repaired before it could be aligned. They had my car up in the rack and they took me out in the shop and pointed out the problems in my front suspension and showed where there was problematic play or movement and broken boots in the suspension. Then they itemized each thing that was wrong and gave a cost estimate for each thing showing labor and parts cost for each item. The labor charges relative to the cost of parts seemed reasonable (in a world full of unreasonable!) I could see and understand what was wrong and I felt like these guys really knew what they are talking about. So, they got to work right away, got the parts delivered quickly and installed everything quickly while I waited.I just have one thing to say: Whats not to like?! I highly recommend these high-integrity people!! You will be treated fairly and promptly.
Just took my lowered 2014 mustang gt here last week. Lee took care of it and went into depth the changes that were made and got me pretty much just about in spec for the drop that I have on the car. In and out under and hour. The whole process was smooth from the lady to taking my info upon arrival and Checking out.
Before I brought my car to there, I saw a high rate on Yelp and Google review. The technician diagnosed that one of my coilover is needed to be tightened. He helped me out on that and checked the other one for me. It was good. Then, the white guy said oh thats not part of the alignment. I said I dont mind to pay some extra labor. The technician was very patient on his work, and I was appreciated on that.Later, the white guy kept saying to the technician that he helped me to fix both coilover and when I say we just looked at it, he ignored me. He charged me 60 dollars for tightening the coil-over. It was hilarious that they were nervous to explain the coilover labor fee for me when I asked the labor fee for switching the tires. Maybe they knew that it was not reasonable price, or maybe they thought Im Chinese and had never done any auto service before. I really have no idea. When I got home and read the Google review carefully, the review from Andy Nikbakht showed that the store had changed the ownership, but the new owner emphasized the long term business of the store to make people avoid the truth, which THE NICE OLD OWNER DIDNT OWN THE STORE ANYMORE. Meanwhile, all the responses from him looked nice. Reason? He got our money in his pocket already. Why not be a nice guy on the Internet? Well I guess if his talent was used to be a good businessman except scamming, the store will be perfect with those skillful technicians.I would definitely post this on RiceU fb page and all the forums for Honda car guys. I dont know if it helps but well see.
These guys perform good accurate work. They identify issues from suspension, tires, or tie rods which may affect the performance of the drive, and may make it appear as though your alignment wasnt done correctly. If you follow the recommendation, youll have a straight driving car with no hands.
TL;DR If you need basic alignment for your steering wheel pulling heavily to the left or right, these guys can fix you up. If, however, you want your steering wheel dead center because it will bug you if its not, and you dont want your car to smell like smoke afterward, you might shop around elsewhere and spend the extra buck.========================================================Alright, the full version. Ive had 2 cars that I had aligned here. The first car I had was an old Mustang that I had done a couple years ago. If I recall correctly I noticed the wheels were pulling heavily to the right. So, this being one of the cheapest places in town, I went in and got an alignment form them. Not too shabby. When I got the car back, they told me they aligned it as far as they could, but on a highway it might have a slight pull to the right still, and I didnt think much of it at the time.Recently I bought in a performance car (2016 year model) and I must have hit a pot hole or something because it started to pull ever-so-slightly to the right. Being somewhat OCD, it bugged me so I decided to go back for an alignment since I had done business with these guys in the past and at $60, it was a hard deal to beat.So I went back, got an alignment and then as I was paying and getting ready to leave, I talked with the guy that had driven it back onto the lift, and he let me know that if I were to floor it, it would pull a little to the left, because of the differential, and the torque... and I thought, hmm, thats strange, my car is a rear wheel drive car and doesnt suffer from any torque-steer that would be associated with a front wheel drive car. furthermore... it didnt do that when I got it from the factory... so, Im not really sure what he was trying to get at...So basically they aligned it to where it now pulled to the left instead of the right. I brought it back in 2 more times since they offer a warranty and the guy there made some small adjustments, though it was still pulling slightly left. To me, it felt like the 3rd time I brought it in, the guy was starting to get annoyed, so I didnt really feel like coming back after that. On top of that, he must have smoked through an entire pack on both of the occasions where I brought it back since the interior of my car smelled like smoke for at least a day afterward.I finally decided to get it done at another dealership, which cost about $130. They at least got it much, much closer in the front and I learned that Southwest didnt even bother aligning the rear wheels.BOTTOM LINE: If your wheel pulls really badly one way or the other, you can get it mostly aligned and closer to center with Southwest. Just dont expect an extremely professional job when all is said and done. Also, expect your car to smell like smoke afterward. Also, dont take a performance car here since the alignment wont be precise.
Awesome experience! Lee and his wife run a top notch facility. Lees If its not broke dont fix it approach is praiseworthy. From the scheduling, the down time, the repairs and the cost it was the best Ive ever received. Thanks Lee and Tianna. I hope the owner of SW.Algn realize how fortunate they are to have the two of you.
The worst customer service Ive ever seen in my life specially the tall white guy that thinks hes the smartest human in the world and guess what if you disagree with him hell say it in front of all other customers right after you leave....I never recommend this placeThis is an update of my last visit to SWA, good news the tall white guy is not there anymore and has been replaced by awesome and great people who really left me just impressed -Tianna and Lee- best people ever, took care of my car, great customer service. Now, i highly recommend this place. Thanks Tianna and Lee!
Terrible place for alignment, even though he tells you that your alignment is good for a year, i got tired to going there over and over again, he couldnt figure out or fix why my truck keeps getting out of alignment. Plus he charged me a lot more than what he told me initially because he had to put in extra work. I didnt care about paying extra money but the problem still exists.
There is really no category for this business at all. Southwest Alignment is not a business for anyone to take their car to. My husband took his car in to get his wheels aligned and this establishment took our money for services not rendered. Yes they stole our money, took a $130, had my husband wait around for an hour, and did not do a thing to the car at all, but yet they told him that they made the adjustments to the car. He had to take his car to another location where they were able to show him that nothing was done. Please, please, please, take heed and do not bring your car to this establishment, as they will steal from you, but you can take your car NTB off Walzem road and you will get great service.
Got there first thing in morning. Got me truck in immediately. Took about 45 mins. Didnt try to upsell me on something I didnt need. Only suggestion was that my lower ball joints looked a little worn but to bring it back around 5k miles to take a look at it and see if they should be replaced. Great customer service I will be back again for sure. Good job guys
Very friendly and caring staff the service if first come first serve so get there early but once your car gets put on the lift its a 25 to 30 min job if you are just getting an alignment done and they inspect your suspension first to make sure every thing is good before they do an alignment,i watched them turn a guy away today because he had bad steering rods or something like that and it was a big safety issue i believe his exact words were i know its Christmas time and your kids need gifts but if you can cut the gifts a little short and get this fixed which shows that they care for there clients....i definitely recomend this place
Best place to get an alignment in Houston. I came here from a referral on Bimmerfest forums to have my BMW 328i aligned. Had an awful experience at 2 NTB locations in town and needed to have my alignment fixed once and for all.The lady who runs the front desk is extremely knowledgable about the alignment process and explained the whole thing to me and had the tech do exactly what my car needed. It is now aligned 100% correctly and feels like a brand new car again.Dont waste over $200+ at the BMW dealership to have an alignment done. Come right over here and theyll take care of it for $70!
I Initially called them to find out the prices. I called a dozen or so shops looking for someone to align the car as well as swap out some bushings. I called and was told me it would be $60 for a 4 wheel alignment on 17 tires as well as $80 for a pair of bushings. When I got there, I was told the same thing, $60 for the alignment, $80 for the bushings, he even said ill call you if it ends up being more. I never received such a phone call, I did however receive a call asking where my wheel key for the lock was. In the end I was charge nearly double what I was originally quoted. $60 went to $80 for the alignment and $80 went to $150 for the bushings. The alignment they did fine on, but they also didnt tell me the first time that they couldnt get the caster within spec. Not a huge deal as caster doesnt cause pulling, but they also didnt mention anything was bent or damaged either other than a single nut, yet it pulled a decent amount at 70mph which means something is bent.If you live nearby and want an alignment only, then youre most likely okay going here, but if you have to drive any sort of distance, or need mechanical work done, id look somewhere else.
I messed up my driver side rear brake pad caliper while trying to change the brake pads by myself. Those fancy car repair shops gave me quotes around $400 just to change the caliper. SW Alignment just did the whole job of changing caliper, brake pads and even the disc rotors for $290. Let me tell you that I purchased caliper and brake pads by myself. Those fancy car repair guys were buying the caliper for me almost twice the price of what I paid for. If I had done the same job with those guys, my bill would have been definitely around $700 or may be more. They finished the whole job the same day within 3 hours.
Have serviced multiple cars with this company before this new owner. Recently had a venza serviced for 4 struts and strut mounts kyb. During process Lee recommended to replace sway bar links. I agreed. After 2 days car made annoying sounds. Took it back 2 times Lee response was to leave it alone because it was safe. His determination was bad new struts.(defective) Long story short emailed kyb because there was no problem getting new struts (warranty) but Lee said i would have to pay for reinstallation of new struts (rightfully). KYB sent me to a certified kyb mechanic and they took it apart to inspect and reinstalled noise is gone. Had to pay for reinstall of orginal struts and realignment. (Completed in 1 hr) Thanks for your outstanding service.Reason for 1 star is no after service here. Didnt even try to take it apart to check. I guess he assumes his work is perfect. I just paid 2 times for same strut installation. Looking forward to hearing your excuse.
DO NOT GO THERE if dont want to deal with with liers.I dont even no where to start there so much that disappointment about this place that I used to trust but my last visit was a dissaster. I completely agree with the other reviews people there are liers btw bad liers, they were supposed to do just a regular aligment to my 2016 truck after 3 days the steering wheel got turn to the side and start making a noise when turn. When I went back they fixed the steering wheel and said that my husband told them that the noise was there before, I got mad becuase that was a lie but the tech Juan insisted on that I asked him to stop saying that becuase it was no true and he knew, the next day Lee the manager try to excuse him saying he got confuse hahaha I dont think so but even if that was the case they NEVER try to APOLOGIZE for it when the day before he was 100% sure he remembered my husband and I but I think they suffer from short term memory, basically they were just trying to get rid of us. And at end I still have to deal with the problem on my own and pay again some where else
I have a 06 Sequoia with 135K miles. Heard some noise in the front end when turning right and got a quote from NTB for $2600 to repair ball joints, struts and other stuff. So I was either going to sell the thing or try to do it myself. The cheaper and better choice was to take it to Greg.Pro Am Auto on Richmond had done work before and suggested SW Alignment. For $300, Greg diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He also advised me that the rest of the front end was rock solid. The place is no NTB...no nice TVs or coffee bar and all that pretty stuff. Who needs $2600 coffee? The guy earned my respect and future business. Thanks Greg for doing things right.
Greg has aligned and worked on 3 old Corvettes for me. Theyre my babies! We had a slight problem the last time I was there and Greg fixed it without hesitation. Lets face it, no one is perfect every time, what matters is prompt and satisfactory resolution of the problem and that was done the one and only time there was a problem. Ironically, on the more difficult problems I dropped in Gregs lap, he fixed them perfectly and at a very fair price. I wouldnt go anywhere else. A++
The new owners have brought this place down. They are not flexible, nor customer friendly. The eastern european owner acts as if you are his rival. They have a huge dog that roams loose around the shop and the office. I like dogs but animals can turn on a customer under the right circumstances. I will never go back tot that place again.
Ive been to this shop previously with three of my cars one with 22 wheels and one with wheels about to get put on. Great service great worh, I think the negative reviews were constructed criticism because theyve only improved I have and will continue to recommend this shop.
Went in after pep boys trashed my truck and i repaired... Had me in amd out in about 45 minutes and my truck still rides great i will be returning shortly for my next alignment on new project... Exretemly knowledgeable folks here and highly recomend anyone who has alot of money invested in tires to come here !!!
My truck is lifted with 1.5 ball joint spacers and it requires a shim job by store manager/owner Lee. Dropped off the truck early in the morning and Lee took care of it by noon. The cost was $150 and it was right in the ball park for my application. How I found this place, was by searching on the Internet and reading the reviews. When I read that SAS can do alignments on lifted/lowered vehicles, I called them right away.
Bunch of liars, strongly advise you dont go there to do your alignment go somewhere else... especially the fat dirty short mechanic ,dont let him even Touch your car...I asked him what was wrong with my car , I knew the answer was a lie once I drove out from there shop...I took it some were else, they told me your alignment was not touched and no body adjusted any things, I had to pay twice to do my alignment
Professional shop with affordable prices... I have aftermarket suspension and they are willing to work on them... other shops wont touch it because they dont know what they are doing... anyways, i had 2 cars that other shops couldnt align but they got it done... dont take to other places and waste your money... these guys will get it done right the first time.
If i can give them zero star i willThose guys over there they’re full of “S”When you have an alignment shop so you have to do you job fix it make it go straightTook my car over there 1st time after suspension work got it back steering wheel not ligne up and car pulling to the rightSo i stopped there for the 2nd time guess what they blamed something that they didn’t fix “caster” the good story is they blame the manufactur for having problem with the caster so i said ligne it upAfter they worked on it for the 2nd time the car became worst pull alot when you give it gaz and the steering wheel way off from the centerI don’t recommend that shop there full of blablabla
Installed a 3 Toytec lift w Total Chaos UCAs and OME Dakar leafs on 2014 Tacoma. I spent 4 hours at another alignment shop the guy at that shop could not align the truck. Took it to Southwest and Lee had the truck aligned in 30 minutes and the price was excellent. I even tipped him $20 because i was so impressed. Night and day experience. They know what they are doing and got my truck straightened out. I highly recommend these guys for your alignment needs.
Had been going there for years it was always great service this last three time Ive went they never have weights for the balancing really inconvenient its like going to a burger shop and them not having buns lately Ive notice all the personal has changed and all the lift are empty most of the time this place has went down hill will never go again
People avoid this place if you have a lowered suspension with aftermarket control arms this guy think he knows how do alignment on lowered cars its all BS couldnt even get my car aligned back to specs waste of money paid 100$ wheel of center and car pulls to both sides
BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!! WOMAN BEWARE! EVERYONE BEWARE!!!! THIS PLACE HAS CHANGED OWNERSHIP AND IS NOW IN THE HANDS OF PEOPLE THAT SCAM YOU. PRICES HAVE GONE UP AFTER 15 YEARS OF BEING THERE. NOW IN THE HANDS OF SOME MIDDLE EASTERN THAT HAS A RUDE WHITE MALE BEHIND THE COUNTER! THE PRICE CHANGES TO DIFFERENT VARIABLES AND GIVEN NO REASON BEHIND IT! AFTER GETTING SEVERAL NEGATIVE REVIEWS THEY NOW POSTED THE PRICE SHEET ON THE WALL WHICH IS IN FINE PRINT AND THEY DO NOT FOLLOW! THEY NOW HAVE A SURCHARGE OF 20% FOR YOU BRINGING YOUR OWN PARTS FOR THEM TO INSTALL. ASKED FOR WHAT REASON, NO LEGITIMATE ANSWER GIVEN. THEY TRY TO UP CHARGE YOU AND WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU NEED SOME PARTS WHICH ARE NOT NEEDED!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE GO UP THE ROAD FOR BETTER SERVICE WITH OUT GETTING SCAMMED. THIS PLACE IS ON THE WAY TO SHUTTING THIER DOORS!!!

2022-04-16This week I met one of the most professional individuals in the car repair industry. Lee does it all - customer service, scheduling, ordering parts, follow up on what’s needed, establishing start and end time of completion of service, update on progress and actually does the work himself, etc. His work ethic and knowledge in his craft helped ease any anxiety I had about working on my automobile. I would highly recommend this shop if you need this type of service. You won’t regret it. Thanks Lee!

2022-04-16Low car alignment. Great service, Lee knows what he’s doing. Brought my lowered 370z here because most places wouldn’t even look at it. (Car sits about 3” off the ground.) Southwest Alignment took it in and got it dialed. Would recommend for any lowered vehicles.

2022-05-08I had no idea that you could have an exceptional experience at an alignment shop. Lee has an old school passion for what he does and the quality of his work. Customer service and experience comes natural to him. If you like detailed explanations and quality this place is for you.

2022-06-21Hands down best alignment shop in the Houston area!Lee and the office assistant Tiana have great customer service and EXTREMELY informative if you are willing to listen to their expert advise.I have a leveled 2018 F-150 and Lee thoroughly educated me on what the initial readings meant, what was adjusted and why. Also explained that my Toyo all terrain tires needed 45-50 psi to work and wear properly, then adjusted air pressure accordingly. Not even Discount Tire knew this when I had them rotate and balance (they just go by the basic psi recommended for most cars). Lee checked the wear and advised to rotate every 5k miles for optimal life and performance. He even encouraged me to come back if anything at all wasnt up to my standards. I took him up on that the next day as my steering wheel was a little off center. He fixed with a smile and of course no charge as its part of their commitment to customer service.Highly recommended! They do not make appts so best to show up when they open at 8 as it is first come first serve.Thank you Southwest Alignment Service for an incredible job!

2020-09-08This is the best alignment shop I’ve ever been to. They are not only professional, but actually do a really good job of aligning lowered cars. I’ve taken my last four cars here ranging from slammed on coil overs, to a H&R Bilstein setup on a 124 Abarth. Most recently they aligned my factory manual IS300 after I replaced every bushing, suspension component and steering component on the car. Drives like a dream. They go above and beyond - highly recommend.

2021-09-23I dont think you would find a better mechanic shop in Houston for the things they specialize in. Ive used them in the past and this time I took my Toyota Tacoma that needed major suspension work. The experience is always the same- outstanding repair work, friendly atmosphere, and reasonable price. I wouldnt take my cars to any other place. Highly recommended!!!
