I ordered 2500.00 of products from this company only to have immediate install issues from the get-go from my professional installers who do this everyday. The initial lady who answered the phone was pompous, rude and of zero assistance. She wanted to immediately give me a return RMA number, rather than address the issue with the lights. As of she was above me. I asked her to speak with someone else and she flat out said,NO. It was only after I said that I would include her response in this review did she suddenly pass me to another lady who actually knew what she was talking about.Rather than acknowledge they have a disgruntled, ill-trained employee, the second lady stated that she sat right next to the first lady and that she did not see a problem with her combative response. Yet after I spoke with the second lady, she was able to resolve the entire issue in short time and really knew her stuff. Im not really sure how they stay in business with that kind of superior attitude towards their new customers.In any case no matter how good the product is, I highly doubt I would ever buy another product from this company again, nor recommend their products to my fellow firefighters, due to the first ladys initial response. In their case, the customer is NOT always right. The products I bought, I was assured would synchronize together, which couldnt be further from the truth. After an in depth explanation from the 2nd lady did I realize that in fact, the products would NOT synchronize together, which I was told they would.I would implore anyone who reads this review to use another company for their emergency lights. Maybe the lady who initially answered the phone is the owners wife I do not know. But to allow such unprofessionalism over the phone speaks volumes to me. This will be my first and last purchase from this company because the customer service is literally zero out of five.
Bought 12 tir3 dual color lights on clearance about 3 months ago(previous gen), only installed 6 of them on my truck on left side as running board lights. Around 2 weeks ago 2 of them changed to steady white on there own, mind Ive never used them as strobes yet. Called to ask about them and I was told that they were clearance so theyre not under warranty but I could get new style for a discounted price. I figured even if they were under warranty and they didnt last 3 months, why would I want to buy more, even at a discount.Was contacted by SpeedTech Lights, after some checking on my part and since this review was posted, found one of the lights had actually burned out, as of right now theyre replacing 2 of them with new single color models but still need to mount the other 6 on truck to see if theyre ok, thanks.
High quality products, top notch customer service. Had an issue with a bar I purchased a month ago, they talked me through possible solutions over the phone, and when the techs couldnt figure out what was going on they had a UPS label in my email within the hour to send it in for repair. They are my go-to for emergency lighting for my work truck.

Very happy with several purchases of lights and recently a remote siren. Last year a bought a hidden LED flashing strobe that tested fine but when I installed it one of the colors failed. I sent them a e Mail and they replaced it immediately “no questions asked”. I have called them a couple of times to ask questions and a knowledgeable rep took care of all concerns. I highly recommend.
Fantastic products at extremely reasonable prices. As owner of 8 tow trucks and some road service trucks, I need quality lights to keep us safe on the side of the road. The SpeedTech lights I have purchased are not platic bezeled garbage. They are heavy for their size, and seem to be extremely well sealed units. Just installed 8 one of my flatbeds this past week. Very bright, very heavy duty. I am impressed!

Ordered the striker 2 deck light after seeing that one of my local security companies were using speedtech products. I have nothing but good to say about them.1. Fast shipping. Even arrived a couple of days earlier then quoted.2. Intructions were easily understood. And the fact that they are paperless was a huge plus in my book!3. Installing the 90 degree suction cup bracket and windshield visor I also order was super easy, just a few screws and I was off to the races.I did kind of expect the bracket and windshield visor to be pre installed, but that is 100% my fault for assuming.Overall a great company with great products (some of the light bars the previously mentioned security company has are like 6-8 years old, and have somehow survived the South Texas heat and sun!), great selection, fast shipping, and the ability to get exactly the lighting package youre looking for.I will be purchasing from STL again, and highly recommend that you do to.
Have bought two different setups through SpeedTech. Loved the price and quality of the products. Customer service has been helpful with a couple items that I have had replaced with the warranty. I have recommended to a lot of people and would recommend to anyone on a budget. Great lights for the money. Have a light I will need to get warrantied out but have a feeling that it shouldnt be an issue.
Communication is key!Having purchased a product from STL that had some compatibility issues with my vehicle, due to a board regulating issue. This situation had me very frustrated with STL and the possible solutions provided. Couple that in with a lack there of, ur duration of time going by with no communication. You could say we were less then happy. We get it covid and all the other craziness going on, out there in the world. Well even through all that I am happy to say. STLs CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES MANAGER HAVE GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND in creating a solution to a problem that we were facing with order. I am sure they will do the same in the future too. Even through frustration, communication prevails for finding solutions. Patience is the better part of virtue. We know from previous dash lights etc that STL builds a solid product, and know we know and have confidence that they truly stand by there products. Along with good or better communication with the staff CSR;s and sales managers anything could be worked out.
I have bought a 55in light bar and siren and they seem to be very well built I have had them for about 3 months and they run all the time and have been in all weather very happy with them. I also like the modularity if repairs ever need to be made. Super quick shipping too.

Great lights for an affordable price! My favorite so far has been my tri-color traffic advisor bar. Havent been able to find anything else like it out there! There were a few hiccups when purchasing due to stl upgrading their control boxes. But customer service was great in getting the right one sent out in a timely manner. Even my surface mounts are still kicking after many harsh winters and being in the elements. Still bright and effective! Would definitely recommend for lighting up your personal vehicle!

They are affordable and extremely easy to purchase from for smaller companies or private vehicle operators, whereas other companies only do wholesale for large scale departments; This is one of the major reasons why I purchase from this company. Purchased your premium visor light bar about a year ago for roughly $700 CAD. First things first, I was to pay for shipping on the correct coloured light modules, the grommet let go while installing a bolt so now I cant take the light bar apart. The visor doesnt sit tight against the glass no matter how many adjustments I do so now I get a massive glare off my windshield. The parts are cheap and made in china. All said and done I payed way to much for this product would not recommend. I can only imagine what the mark up on this item was. If there isnt a crazy mark up I would suggest finding a different manufacturer that will do it better for the same price or cheaper
I was searching for an affordable yet powerful dash light to use while working in the public safety section and I ended up purchasing the STL Raptor-X TIR Visor Light Bar. Once received, I installed the product in my vehicle and was amazed at how much light it provided. Not only does it provide emergency warning directly in front of your vehicle but it catches the front angles as well. Great customer service.I got to meet Robel this last May. It is so nice to be able to put a face with a name. Robel is my go to guy when I have a question or concerns with products. But no concerns as of yet.Great products. I purchased a full size light bar in 2018. Still working great. Just recently purchased a discount 10 pack of the linear Z6 and a discount 4 pack of the linear Z4s. Got them in stalled on my work truck. They Work and look great. Bought a Virtue two light dash light. I am extremely impressed with the brightness of the unit, how well built it is, and how quickly I was able to assemble and place on the dash. STL is okay quality for the price, but I dont know that Id purchase from them again. Im now around two and a half years post-purchase. Two of the lights I received in a pack of 10 were DOA. Most of the remaining eight now have water in them. I wish Id saved up some more and purchased a higher quality light like Feniex, Code 3, Federal Signal, or Whelen.
I just got my Patrol™ LED Beacon and I love it.I use my lights a lot for my job and many companies have let me down but Speedtech has always been there for me. They have some of the top products and best of all dont cost me anywhere near as much as other companies do.Love all they do.Keep up the good work.

Im a Road Ranger for the Florida department of transportation. I have bought 2 dash lights from speed tech lights. I love them always reliable and great at warning traffic when Im responding to a crash on the interstate. I recently installed 10 lights on a trailer. Overall, I would recommend these lights to those that are in the market. They are very affordable and seem well made. One downside I encountered was the limited alternating flash patterns. The only alternating flash pattern is a slow back and forth pattern and the different styles of lights do not sync with each other, therefore requiring more than one sync wire. I hope they can implement more patterns such as a triple flash alternating in the future.
I have purchased all my lights from SpeedTech Lights. I am a Volunteer Fire / EMS there for I did not want to spend a lot of money but I wanted quality lights. SpeedTech is the way to go!! Very well priced with a great effective product!
Lightbars are bright as are worklights. Have had lots of products fail HOWEVER Speed tech has always replaced them, always. Their customer service is 5 star! Will continue purchasing products just for that reason alone.

I called speedtech lighting after purchasing a light bar off a individual online. They did everything they could and had me send them a picture of it had the guys find out what light bar I had so I could get replacement lights for it. I bought the Mini Eclipse® TIR Interior LED Dash Light Bar about a year ago and it is the best light bar i have ever had. It is very bright and was very easy to install it also came in great timing. STL products appear to be good to very good, quality wise. Customer service was good, I did have a shipping delay issue but they took care of it as quickly as possible, certainly worth the wait. The products perform as expected. Perhaps most important, their prices are very reasonable. If you are looking at their products and find yourself skeptical that the prices are too good to be true, forget about it, they perform just as well in my opinion as some more well known brands, allowing you to stretch your budget much farther. Ive even considered purchasing some of their apparel as a way to say thanks and give them some advertising. I will order from STL again and recommend them with confidence whenever I can.

Ordered a Virtue-4 in red/red for volunteer EMS purposes. Super bright light! I love how easy it is to transfer from one vehicle to another--just stick it onto the windshield and plug it in. Very reasonable price, especially when you consider that it has linear optics and gen 3 LEDs. So far very happy with my purchase, and Im glad I didnt spend the extra hundreds of dollars on a Whelen which wouldnt have been significantly better. Wish the shipping was cheaper but I got lucky with the Black Friday deals on their website and it was sent for free. Thanks Speedtech!

This is a quality company with quality products at the best prices. These products are the similar to Whelen, Federal Signal, and Code 3 but just at a greatly reduces cost. Their products are reliable, even after tons of road vibrations. These products are very reliable and would definitely purchase from them again.

What more can be said? Great lights at a great price!! If you are unsure their warranty program is better than other companies like Fed Signal. I use their lights in a number of applications from vehicles to warning lights mounted in the interior and exteriors of buildings.

Bought many lights from stl.. some experiences were good and others bad.. had a module go out literally 20 minutes into picking out my pattern. For the most part they are ok. There tech support is 5 stars.. but the products are hit or miss. Also there directions that come with any product completely suck.. very little info of how to install. Just some pictures and a few words.. if u r like me and not very mechanical this is a huge issue
Lights are cheaply made and assembled. Not the worst lights on the market, but they will fail you, it’s not a matter of IF just a matter of WHEN. Probably fine if you’re a construction vehicle, but if you’re a firefighter, do you count on your lights to move traffic?STL won’t make that happen. They’re barely visible during the day. If you’re just messing around, STL is fine for projects or something, but if your life depends on your lights, DO NOT PURCHASE.

I have only used a couple of products from STL including the STL Vireo which is a great handheld siren/switch. I have also used the wireless remote switch, which I drove to Budha Tx for help with, and immediately had a tech out at my truck tracing wires, and fixing a wiring issue that was loose on my end. They didnt charge me to find the loose connection. I have not personally used thier lights, but I know some guys in my department absolutely love, and stand by them. I would love to review thier lights. Overall they are a great company here in Texas, and stand behind thier products, and offer a great 5 year warranty on some if not all of thier products!
I found the customer service and tech answers great in helping me decide not only to do business with SpeedTech, but which models of lights would serve my needs. After mounting Z-3 and Z-4 lights on my motorcycle, it is much more visible in roadside and escort duties, as well as conspicuity lighting while riding.

Very bad products, I highly suggest not buying these lights... you will be disappointed.Installing and un-installing lights is not fun, half these lights I bought (purchased over 40) have failed at bench test and then more failed once they were on the trucks. Looking for s full refund 10000%
I recently started upgrading all our equipment to led lights, I found this company on facebook and against advice from others in the business I tried them, sorry to say it will be the last time. When I had a problem I actually had a rep pretty much tell me that they are not installers and just put in what I order , ( so you dont know what your selling ??? ) Their website is a little misleading. When ordering a tow truck light bar, it comes with gutter mounts?????? Dont 95 % of tow trucks come with a headache bar / pylon??? So I called days later to order the headache bar....full price ...full shipping ( even though theres all kinds of specials on facebook , none of which applied to me , even after I asked the rep ) A week later the mounts show up... ( by the way I paid to have the order expedited ) ..guess what...no way are these things going to work. So now I set them on my desk and like most of us in the towing business we are usually very busy..again..BUYER BEWARE..i only had 7 days to make a phone call to them to get a refund.... Never Again... I should have never went anywhere else other than my original plan..by the time I get everything sorted out..i could have bought a ( 1400.00 whelen led bar shipped to my house for 1250 brand new ) with a company that stands 100 % behind everything the sell ... no questions asked. Anyone need a headache bar mount that wont work with 99% of the tow trucks out there ???? ( Might need major modification to fit your tow truck)
Bought a Aries 32inch TIR lightbar. The plastic casing is amazing and very strong. Great choice of flash patterns. Told it can be seen from space. I still have my Ceptor 2 and after another company totally failed in their product and customer service i turned back to STL. What a great choice that was! I dont regret any bit of it. Then a customer service person called a week later asking how well it was doing and if i had any issues. This is a company that really stands behind their product. Thanks STL!
Worst siren possibly made in the market. Sounds like junk, the wails sound abnormal and people noticed. Other volunteer firefighters that I know told me I made a rookie move buying Speed tech light. I tried to return it and spoke to a director who was not helpful. I highly dont recommend this company.
Well had the STL Prime II Gen 4 On a vehicle for a little under 2 months, and it has nothing but problems. First it was 3 Modules going out, and now I cant seem to keep the water out of it. Very poorly sealed, and quite frankly, so far a pile of crap !!! Did you all forget how to seal a light bar, drive in a little rain, and gets filled with water...7/17/16 Update: Light Bar still a POS, waiting for a good light bar from another company, so i can get rid of this piece of Sh**.8.20.26 We purchased a new light bar from this company back in Feb 2016, and have had nothing but issues with it after 2 mos of owner ship. After they sent countless replacement parts,and we paid to send othe bad ones back multiple times, which we should have not of had to. We finely said enough was enough, and removed the entire system and uninstalled the product with great cost to our company, and resources. Not to mention having a vehicle unit out of service until a replacement unit can be gotten and non-STL product on vehicle in question during the weeks of Aug 1-13, and sent there bad defective junk back to them with the under standing we would receive a refund due to the major failure of the light bar. We sent it back, and they refused it, and are trying to send it back to us. This light bar unit is supposed to be under a 5 year warranty, and they have been twisting there policys around so much that I cant even keep up with them.
Just bought my first light bar and havent recieved it yet, but according to the many good reviews I think it will be excellent. I like the fact that you can customize a light bar and it doesnt cost an arm and a leg.

Excellent products, would like to see a switch box that all speedtech light products can plug into, similar to the Intelisiren but will accept visor or light bar, traffic adviser and auxiliary in one unit.

My experiance sucked from the beginning. First they told me I would get free shipping if I ordered more than $99.00 of merchandise so I did....no discount...I had to write to them and get there finance dept to ok the free shipping and in the mean time my order sat. Then when I got my order it was wrong so they said I had toi send them back the incorrect lighthead befor they would send me the correct one. UPDATED Waiting to see. , I loved my full size bar after we figured out that do to the uninsulated wiring harness that comes on it has to be as far away from my antenna coax as possible , for only about 5 months , then the trouble started ..... At the beginning of a job early one morning the bar came on and went out after a few seconds repeatedly .... The TECH I spoke with after accepting that I could hook a ground wire up properly , was helpful in helping me bypass the control module so I at least could work. So dibs to her... After calling back though the tech I got kindly tried to explain once again that I had told the other lady I had touched the ground to make it work the time before or something. .. But finally after defending myself against not being bright enough to ground the harness we talked through how to bypass the box and so forth and so on.. My only real quam with them is , not every product or part that they buy to assemble their lights with is 100% and that isnt their fault but sometimes we have to accept such and go on with our business. Now though. , when it comes to returning the bar for repair , I have to pay the shipping , do without a lightbar or buy another I suppose ,,, really , Ive already driven 400 mikes outta my way to buy this light from you and have rigged on it and done without when I couldnt get it to work , used a single strobe that wasnt in compliance to the state I was in explaining that to a trooper wasnt nice at all.. But I still have to ship this back to Buda , Im trying to just get close enough to bring it in without that substandard control box and see where were gonna go from there . Reveiws are reviews so keep watching for my update. .... P/S my order is under Ralph. Update. Not very pleased with their decision but nothing I can do about it I suppose . After speaking with Evangelina , who is a very nice lady and tried to help. , they decided that since I cross wired the light to make it work I had voided my warranty .. Not good for me because I only done it to make the the light WORK... AFTER I PAID ANOTHER $250 THEY TRADED ME A NEW UPDATED LIGHT..... SO. , DECIDE FOR YOUSELF
I have had nothing but positive results with SpeedTech. My first exposure to STL started with getting their equipment used. Heard the horror stories. But Im here to tell you that I will continue to get my gear from STL for the foreseeable future. Thank you STL!

Mounting options are limited. Asked for advice on how to mount to my car. Got told no and that I should take it to a professional installer. Also, the Supreme Control box quality seems a bit lacking.

I really love the products as well as the prices! Would it be possible for the store to be open on Saturdays? Monday - Friday 8:30 to 4:30 is when a lot of people are working so its hard for those that want to visit the store to look at products. Thats honestly my only complaint/suggestion.

Excellent customer service, not so excellent lights (my opinion). I’ve made a lot of purchases with STL — 14” k-force TIR light bar, 18” prime linear light bar, 120W 6-strobe system, 100W PA & speaker, 2 pair of hideaways, surface mounts and 2 switch boxes( a 4 and a 6). Here’s my experience:• The k-force light bar works great after replacing the “mother board” for better flash patterns. The light-heads are very bright and I’m happy with it. I’ve had it on my roof for a while now and have had no issues regarding weather or moisture inside. It’s truly weatherproof. The lenses haven’t turned “yellow” on me either. The magnets are plenty strong...tested at 90mph for a half mile the light bar never moved.• The prime linear light bar was given away because it wasn’t bright enough for me so I don’t know how that holds up.•The strobe lights still work fine but have been uninstalled and upgraded with other LED hideaways.• I have a pair of linear Z3 surface mounts that Andrew sent me and they are holding up quite well. They’ve been in mud and high water with no moisture inside. They are pretty bright as well (but because they don’t sync I have one on each running board). The other surface mounts were returned because as a professional I need a professional look and the lights don’t have an alternating sync option with all the flash patterns — my only major issue with STL.• The 2 switch boxes still work but the “power on” indicator lights don’t last very long. For a few nickels I just replaced the switches.• The PA/horn system and speaker still work great after about 2 years or so. The speaker has been through rain, snow and high water as well and it still works like new.• The hideaways are bright but do not sync alternately so they’re pretty useless to me and now collect dust.Aside from their products, as I said, STL’s customer service is outstanding. I must say that their website is very easy to navigate and their latest update is pretty awesome too. If you’re not worried about how your lights flash and just need to be seen then I definitely recommend their lights. If they ever get their surface mounts and hideaways to alternately sync with ALL flash patterns they will get a lot of business from me.Update 11/21/20:Just updated my PA system. Love it! The horn sounds are the same as the older system and the updated microphone has much better clarity. My voice sounds twice as loud from the speaker now. The only difference is you cannot control the horn volume with the volume knob on the box. The volume knob now only controls the microphone. No big deal for me.
Had problems with a order, the shipping company(FedEx), had to order a light controller separately. Extra charge for different mounts. Shipping to much for parts and cost more to order a part by its self then with ordering the part with the item its for.
I have several diffenents lights on my POV and are very pleasedwith them. the installation is very user friendly. I would recomendSTL to anyone interested in purchasing any lights or a siren.

2021-04-14Received my Striker-6 today! Thank you STL for making such an easy installation process. I am so happy with the amber traffic advisor and it will help me during disaster responses (hopefully I never have to use it!!!) When I purchased the item, I forgot to include the direction control box. I contacted your customer support on the website and had the opportunity to talk to Brittany, who helped me through the process of updating the order and when I called into the store I got her as well which made it real easy to continue getting the support I needed! That really left a good impression on me. I highly recommend STL!

2022-02-04Update: I had some minor issue with a light bar and after some back and forth it has been resolved. Andrew reached out once being made aware of the issue. They are sending out new equipment to replace the defective one. From time to time products are bound to have issue but it’s how the company fixes it that’s important. I will note that all of the other products we have in use are holding up great.Happy that they resolved this quickly as the truck the light bar is on is one of our primary patrol vehicles.

2021-10-29Went to Buda to the warehouse in person and received excellent customer service. The representative helped me order my light there and then handed them to me in person. Was very happy with the products and she also explained to me the difference on new and older model led police lights.

2021-08-27Ive never actually been to the physical store, but I wanted to share an experience for others. I get almost all of my code equipment from STL. I really like their prices and their quality compared to some of the other manufactures. The only downside is a lot of their stuff, even stock items, have a no refund/no return policy. I recently ordered an adapter cable and unfortunately, it’s a newer pin set than my original lights. I could not return it, but this was where STL really shined. I spoke with their customer service and they manufactured a special adapter cable just for my equipment, and shipped it for free. These guys may not be the best known brand, but they are definitely best in my books.

2021-04-14Several officers had told me about this company. I don’t know why I fought using them. When I finally ordered two hideaways from them, they came quickly and they were perfect! Also had a code for a discount coupon for next order. I have not ordered from any other company since. The company I used to use, after I put in a $300 order, went radio silent on me. No order. It was a big company, to. Great opportunity to try Speedtech. Won’t go back to anyone else.

2021-10-22Ive been using SpeedTech Lights since the very beginning. They have always had excellent products, fast shipping, and even better customer service. They have always helped any issue (which is not many) I have had. Their products have only gotten better over the 15 years I have been using them. They are of the highest quality, and wildly affordable compared to the big name brands. Ive bought everything from full size lights bars and surface mounts to work and scene lights,.
