Absolutely a great experience. Would recommend to anyone. I had exceptional service from the Property Manager. She went above and beyond to get me the unit I wanted at a great price. Best prices around actually.
During our home selling and moving process, we needed a storage facility temporarily. We were lucky to find McKinney Self Storage. They were very easy to work with, courteous, efficient and and the facility is clean, safe and easy to access. Would definitely recommend them!
Service is exactly how you need it. They are as helpful as you need them to be, or as transient as you want. Access to your stuff any time of day or night. I work two jobs so sometimes thats a life saver. Very helpful if/when you need them to be. Thanks guys!

We were renting 3 separate units at one point during a move and never had a problem with any of them. Each unit and the entire facility was clean and well maintained. Excellent and responsive service all around (especially from Shawanda!). Highly recommended.

This facility was super helpful and convenient. I had access to my unit 24/7. The staff was super friendly and whenever i had a question they was there with a quick answer. I would recommend this storage place to everyone.
It was the easiest transition of all. Worked through the rental on line and 10 minutes later I was there. I got there during he lunch but she helped me anyway with a smile on her face. Good people.
Great service and inexpensive storage. We received 2 months at 50% off which really helps with all the moving expenses that cone with moving.

Left several messages and never received a call back. Must of called at least five times over two weeks when I first moved here and needed storage. Highly disappointed with lack of response, especially because they are literally half a block away from my home.Fortunately, Cindy at Advantage Storage (McKinney Ranch Parkway and Lake Forest Dr) was able to take care of me.

Moved in during the middle of June, made me prepay through July. Moved out 6/30 and requested a refund for July. Was told it was coming but now they refuse to provide a refund. SCAM!

2022-06-14Placed order online and after making payment was sent confirmation email with unit number and combo to the gate giving us immediate access. A couple days later we bring a trailer load of furniture to our new storage and when we arrive, there is a lock on our unit. No one answered the door at the office even tho it said open and was within business hours. After about 45 mins in 100° heat and countless phone calls, we finally got someone to take the lock off. There were at least 5 other customers that came and needed to speak to someone during that time period. Terrible customer service.

2022-06-09Compared to other storages I’ve had this unit was extremely expensive for the size that it was. I needed the location though so pretty much had no choice but to move in I was there for about a year. When I first moved in they prorated my stay. Once I try to move out I called the customer service line they told me to give 7-10 days notice. Which I did and whoever took my call did not make the notes so once it came time for me to move the office did not honor my notice. I moved out on the first because I was in the hospital for a week so I couldn’t move out in the timeframe. But I still moved out before the office opened on the first. Fast forward to the fourth of the month they charge me $100 for storage room that I was already out of and they wouldn’t refund it nor prorated. I never missed a payment nor was never late nor did they have to have any complaints on me as a tenant.So my advice if you’re in any sorts of bine or life situations this is not a place that works with people seems as if they’re just trying to get over on their tenets because they’re either going out of business or the new management team has no Morals. The staff that was in the office once I was moved out made it seem as if everything will be OK I felt they were kind of snarky but I overlooked it thinking maybe they just had a bad day. But now I see they were being Conniving I’ve called the facility multiple times have not had heard word back left numerous voicemails for the DM and new store manager have yet to hear anything. This is extremely unprofessional and not a way to just treat people you plan to do business with I will Not refer anyone to the storage facility.

2021-11-25Super easy, and incredibly friendly! I had a reservation, walked in, and everything was ready to go. Had my choice of different unit locations, but, the first one was perfect. I’m sorry I forgot the members name who helped me, but, he was awesome. They’re making my move from Illinois soooo much better. Gotta love Texas! (now, the Cowboys need to pull their heads out of their…) lol Thanks McKinney Self Storage!

2021-11-13The guy that sold me on the unit was new but did incredible. I visited multiple storage units before walking in here. This guy working was knowledgeable and professional. Got the unit because of him. Best place in town.

2020-08-17They have the worst customer service and loyalty to their current customers. I have been renting a unit for over 2 years and wanted to switch to a larger unit but they wouldnt prorate the smaller unit for 1 day in order for me to move out of the smaller unit into the larger unit. But instead wanted me to pay a full month on both units. Thats not how you treat someone who had been paying $80.00 a month for a 5 x 10 unit for two years. They changes managers and the customer service went down hill after that. If I could give less than 1 star I would
