Was in town for a funeral. Someone recommend this place but after hearing our experience they said it must be under new management. We had 3 rooms and all 3 are bad lol. The drawer in the kitchen area that had spoons had roachs inside. The bed had burn holes and a smudged bug 😩🤮🤢. The tub in one room had red tape on the side, not sure what it was covering and mold on faucets... Run far away from this place lol

The customer service was horrible, when you extend your stay the lies starts. The fridge wasn’t working for a week and they said we will put a discount for the extended stay. Not a problem and also not a big discount just a few dollars off each day (not complaining). However, extended the stay over the phone but once it came to the end of that week, had to check out earlier than expected bc they said that’s what I paid for when it was discuss for a weekly rate. End of story, ended up paying a way higher rate for each day than the first week, had to check out earlier when I still needed a room, and ended up getting no discount for the broken fridge. They continue to lie that I book thro a third party when I have physical proof that I book on their site and call the front desk directly. If you are staying for work or another reason for an extended stay, go somewhere else! They will start getting greedy.
I have stayed at this establishment several times over the past few years and it has always been great. Your staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Room is always very clean and welcoming. But this time, the mattress was a little uncomfortable, I could feel the bar if I moved into the middle of the bed. So you might want to check your mattress life in some of your rooms. But overall, I will definitely visit again.
Thought wed save money eating out by getting a room with a kitchen. Roaches the first night. Got some spray didnt see any more. Apparently we were next door to drug dealers so noisy people and cars coming and going at all hours. Wafer thin gritty soap. Cheesy towels slightly larger than a dish towel. Lobby closed, no coffee. We survived.
I honestly loved this place! It was great! The front desk was honestly the best they helped with everything. The place smelled great. The beds were comfortable and well cleaned, also had a full kitchen with the kitchen utensils already in them! Overall a 5 out of 5 because you cant beat the price! Definitely coming back :)
Omg where do I start rented a room for a week. Once checked in room was dirt and nasty bed unmade etc. Pulled the sheets off the bed and there were Blood stains everywhere..money was supposed to be refunded after 5 to 7 days way to go guys great service..
If your ever in the area, and in need of a great room, at a great price this is most definitely the place !! To start off the rooms are extremely nice & clean, equipped with everything you need for that time away from home. Larger than normal laundry mat , laundry services at low rate provided upon request . The manager Ms. Jessica consistently goes out her way to assure every guess is provided with the service & treatment of a high end 4 star hotel. I’ve noticed 1st hand, ms. Jessica going over and beyond what her managerial duties required of her. She definitely takes her job serious,& cares that each & every guess is treated like family! I will most definitely be staying back at Studio 6, when the need is required! Highly recommend to all looking for great place to stay when in the Bay City Area. Thanks again to Ms Jessica & staff for making my 2 weeks away from home, like home!!!

This experience was great! The rooms were so clean; cleaner that most any of the others weve stayed in while in Texas. Jessica at the front desk was awesome! She was friendly, interested in us and why we were visiting her state and bent over backwards to help us.
The guy at the front counter was extremely rude and acted like we were bothering him because we needed a room. We had a reservation for a specific time and when we got there he told us that they couldnt check nobody in until 3 in the afternoon. Thats a major inconvenience for somebody thats been driving all night and needs rest.
HORRIBLE! Cockroaches every where. I got into the room and 10 minutes later here come the cockroaches. I went and bought some Raid, and left to another hotel about 2 hours later. I was so angry I didn’t even go to the office or ask for my money back. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES !
Literally had the best service, front desk was inviting and helped with everything I needed for my stay. I recommend a 5 out of 5! Everything was clean and beds were comfy. Definitely will be staying again, when I visit.

Been here almost 6 weeks so that should tell you Im a happy camper. Clean and reasonably priced with shopping and dining within minutes and excellent highway access. Management is cheerful and always very helpful when it comes to accommodating special needs. In room Kitchenette is great for long term guests like myself.

Good clean rooms..the staff is great Jess the front desk girl very helpful.. there was a lot of up keeping out side so that was a plus... rooms are big full size refrigerator that was unexpected..room was cool when I check it that also was a plus+ I would definitely recommend this place great price... I think it was the best price in town

I have been staying at this hotel for well over a month now with my cats as I travel for work and the staff along with the general manager Jessika has been nothing but overwhelmingly nice and helpful. If I needed extra towels or dishes for the kitchen I was given them immediately. If I didnt have time to do my laundry due to working so many hours Jessika offered to do it for me. She is always available to help and always has a cheerful demeanor and a smile. She has even stopped by to check on my cats while Im away during the day! Ive never had a more pleasant experience, and when you travel for your job hotels become your second home and it really does feel like one to me.

First time staying in a Studio 6. Everything was great. The room was very nice. Everything was perfect!!! The Manager was very helpful, nice, kind.I would recommend this Hotel to everybody.
Roaches!!!! Table fell down. Room stinks. Very poor upkeep for the pr and!!!!!!!. Would have been better off sleeping in my car.
Roaches present. Even saw an exterminator during my stay. Still had roaches after. Overheard guest complaining of bed bug bites!!Furniture falling apart. Wifi intermittent. Rude management. Only 2 of 8 washers and dryers work during entire stay. Prices for the week have increased since last owners by over $75. Yet equipment is in worse shape than with old owners.Stayed for two months.
This place is awesome it is very clean and its nice and its quiet and very comfortable the people are nice their cordial in the service they come in and clean your room while youre gone the place is just awesome is reasonable I went online and got the room for $40 a night and theyre very accommodating

Long story short. I requested a nonsmoking room. The smell was unbearable and the bedding was covered in holes. I didnt even stay I had to go to another hotel.
Room 104 smelled of mold walking in. Sure enough there were patches of mold on the ceiling. The bathroom had mold just painted over around the top of the shower, not to mention the hack job on the ceiling that wasnt repaired. Also the bathroom cabinet wasnt anchored and could pose a huge hazard if it came off the wall. Water mold damage around the AC. The room had a door leading to the room next door, the solution for noise between the rooms was a towel on the ground between the doors. The kitchen had peel and stick tiles that were coming off. The chain on the door looked as if someone had tried to kick in the door at some point. Also the bed was so close to the wall that I had to scoot to the end of the bed to get in and out of bed.We stayed the two nights we booked because we only needed to sleep there & my husband convinced me not to go complain.
Nice studio style rooms with kitchenettes. Staff is friendly and helpful and the pricing cant be beat. I stay on the road 10 months out of the year and when in Bay City this is the spot for me and my coworkers.
Long term stay was great, compare to other motel 6/ studio 6 ‘s around the Houston areas . This location is beyond clean and worth staying. Will recommend to others
Parking lot was nicely lit. Room looked clean and Im assuming was recently updated due to wood floors instead of carpet. The cons are that because of the wooden floors, who ever was staying above me when they would walk it sounded like they had on high heel shoes. Also had to kill a couple of small insects crawling around on the floor. But what really turned me off was the fact that the bed had like a urine stench to it. Their housekeeping also should do a better job of removing hairs from towels after they wash them. Thats kind of disgusting to get out the shower, unravel a clean towel and have a bunch of hairs all over it. But all in all it was a decent place to stay for one night.
This is a super budget hotel.1.) The construction quality is horrendous. The baseboards, the walls, the plumbing. Its TERRIBLE . Its bugs coming in the room, because you have cracks and seams thru outlets, cabinets, the threshold of the front door and plenty more2.) At least it comes with a electric stove top. Near full size fridge. And comes with pots and pans. And eating utensils.3.) The bathroom construction is trash. The shower tub is large, but the look of the build , looks like they got a random dude from homedepot parking lot to install it. Overall good for a budget. But there quality is horrendous
Housekeeper are very nice and clean the room very good. Front desk staff hardly ever seems to be in the mood to help you. They are remodelling the place. A nice place to relax. Wouldnt mind going back.

The manager Jess and her staff were extremely accommodating, room 104 is highly coveted by frequent travelers here. Guest laundry and pool are very well kept, the place even has a stylish modern décor.Pots, pans, dishes were all a bit of a surprise to find, Satelite TV was kind of awesome. It went out once, but a simple reset of the box cured all issues. As an Irma evacuee, I was highly impressed that the kind lady behind the counter recognized my birthday is coming up and wish me a happy birthday. Little things like that create such a warm and heartfelt experience that was much needed is such a fear based point of my life.
I stayed here off and on for 3 months while working in Matagorda County. The price was great and I was very pleased with a clean and updated room. I love that the rooms have tile floors and that the linens are new. The place is half the price of Hampton and Holliday Inn Express and has a kitchen.Ownership has changed since I wrote my original review, the service and the staff are not as professional as the previous owner.
Considering the price of the roomand the location this place has comfortable rooms... Very convenient if you dont eat out as there is a kitchenette in each room ... And walmart is a 5 minute walk .. Its ok in my book

The toilet seat was dirty, the lock on the door was broken, the stove handles were broken, the shower wouldnt turn on unless you struggled with it for a good minute it just kept turning, you couldnt even adjust the temperature, the ac wouldnt stay on, the coffee filter was already used and there wasnt another one to change it out with, ALL of the towels and wash rags had earwax on them and one even had someones pubic hair, there was no body soap, shampoo, or even a razor, the pillows were dirty and one even had mold and someones blood on it as if they popped a pimple and wiped the blood on the pillow, and I was charged for a room with 2 beds when I only had 1. Would not recommend if you have high expectations or at least decent.

The manager was rude, mold in the bathroom, the elevator wasnt working and roaches. The stove had only one burnner for the stove the other one was broken they moved me from 123 to 121 in 121 the heat didnt work i had to sleep in my coat so I asked to be moved back to 123. When I moved back to 123 they called me about a bowl and I had to be at work at 3:00 am then the pest man came banging on the door like the police I jumped up open the door for him to only spray two areas in the room 15 minutes to 30 minutes later the young man came banging on the door talking about I had to check out I replied that Im here until March . After all of that I left and got another motel to stay up until March
The room was very clean and bed comfortable but the tv did not work. Management did try but we were too tired to keep trying and did not want to switch rooms at that late hour.

The rain kept me from getting my rv, so I had to stay in a motel for a week. I chose this one based on decent reviews. After paying and settling in I realized the hot water didnt work. Showers were miserable. Then I started noticing roaches. Never have i wanted to leave a motel like i did this one. Terrible

Infested with Roaches elevator did not work . After working 12 hours in the heat to come back to room 201 to find bees in the room on the pillow on the floor . Got my refund back nd checked out I took pictures and will be sending them to the coporate office, never again. Worst Ever 🤮 Housekeeper goes in your room after putting a DND on the door. I ask them to roll the cameras back they replied no! So I told them I wanted my money back begin that my room was paid in a week in advance an checked out.

Studio 6 was listed as a hurricane Harvey qualified hotel room for evacuees when we were able to return we had no power still and I attempted to get a room for my family, they had a sign posted with managers number I called and did receive a call back stating they were unaware they were listed as a participant for the hurricane Harvey hotel assistance program through FEMA but they would contact me later in the day with further information on when they would be able to give myself and my family a room...5 days later I continued passing by and calling the number I had previously reached the manager on and although all other hotel and businesses were back running for business studio 6 was not and they were the only hotel in bay city that was listed as part of the hotel assistance program through FEMA so for 3 looonnngggg days my family and I were stuck in our home with no electricity being that we had blown through nearly all of our funds due to being evacuated and forced to seek shelter out of pocket for 5 days prior!! A call back or explanation would of been nice and understood considering the weather conditions but we didnt even ever receive either one! :-(

Bad experience. Hallways smell like sewer and mildew, there were boogers all on the walls in our room and down the hallway. I go to take a shower and the shower knob is broke. Then to top it off we go to lay down in the bed and the sheets are dirty. Food crumbs in the bed and stains all in the sheets. I go to customer service and they dont have fitted sheets for the beds. They told me to come down and get flat sheets to cover up all the mess. What a joke. No refunds either.

I didnt like the fact, that the pool was never open when it was suppose to be. One front desk staff was rude and really didnt care if she made the customers happy or not!!!!! Seemed that the manager didnt care much about property cleanliness. Air Conditioner had mold in it, noticed that the phone in the room had a short in it. Cleaning staff was always nice BUT had to towel dry floors because of what ever they used. Remopped them myself!!!!! Room had a very mustie smell after they cleaned. I bought an air freshener!!! Had an agreement with manager and paid to have my dog in my room and was told that major cleaning days were mondays and thursdays, manager sent cleaning staff to my room on wendsday to do extra cleaning. Knowing my dog was only put in her kennel on major cleaning days. Also my DO NOT DISTURB sign was on the door, and is now gone!!! From what i understand two people almost was bit because of this. I had NO notifacation to make sure she was put up!!! in all its OK for the price, BUT the experience so far SHOULD be ALOT better!!!!!!

The room is average. It has a slightly musty smell, but is cleaned and serviced well by house keeping. The bed is a little on the firm side too.
Checked in, went to our room and there was a huge spider on the floor along with a couple of dead baby roaches in the bathroom. The stove was missing a knob and had some damage to baseboards and wall. We checked out and got our money back.

2022-07-06Cockroaches everywhere. Rude staff, nasty pool, and they will try to charge you for damages after you leave. Filing a complaint with BBB and Texas attorney general. Said one of our chairs was (and I quote) all messed up. Was just going to think of it as the usual round down motel until they tried scamming me. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

2022-05-28First had issues about the pool and the reason it was closed, after making sure had a pool and could access it before finalizing the reservation,and when arrive and unpack and go to pool, it was locked and got random excuses why.Then the room was nice and good size, with exception of big dead water bugs on the floor, which they might have just had pest control come recently, I didnt know so figured didnt ser live ones so its ok.Then I left and needed to get ahold of who I was rooming with and their cell phone was dead, called office apparently there are no phones in the rooms,Granted the guy was going to walk to the room with cordless phone for me. But ofcourse those phones dont travel far from the base so got disconnected.But all in all the pool got open other guests got to enjoy it also and it wasnt a bad place after getting few little kinks ironed out. So thank you

2022-02-03First night there was NO hot water the whole time. Second night there were ROACHES coming out from everywhere that’s NASTY. After talking to someone on the phone they told ME they would refund the one night I wasn’t staying there. DYLAN the so call MANAGER told me when I went to the office that he COULDNT refund me my money. Well I can say this Dylan is way far from being a manager his performance towards customers SUCKED. And if you tell someone one thing BUT come to find out when you walk in the do the OPPOSITE. POOR customer service and I promise I will NEVER stay at that RUNDOWN place again and also I’ll make sure nobody else does either.

2021-10-25Room layout is nice but there are ROACHES.....babies and their frickin cousins....Ive been here 5 days and I kill about 7-8 roaches (a day) when I get in from working 12 hours/30 minute drive to and from plant. Ridiculous and gross.....if you do stay here bring some Raid. They be on the floor and in kitchen on stove top, coming from under stove top, on cabinet, on floor (coming out of floor), in bathroom on counter, crawling on tub, on wall, had 2 in toilet when I got in from work that fell from open vent in the top of bathroom.....just beware 😠 $499/week is too much to be with ROACHES and coming in from work to see new hair strands on my pillow!! So youll be greeted with extra guests. Then when I got in from work, the was pillow in chair (that I didnt put there when I left)..but bed wasnt made...hair on pillow, that isnt mine. Pillows be having hair on them that is not my hair color nor texture..... so reserve with caution. Housekeeping just looks past the roaches lol the one by stove been there since Tuesday and I never unpacked. Put my stuff back in my car and left it, got what I needed as needed. If roaches dont bother you, feel free to enjoy your stay lol and no, this is not an exaggeration. (The pic of side of my face shows my hair texture, which is coiled/curly/black).

2021-06-27We had two rooms for a weekend stay. The first night the ac went out in one room & the toilet overflowed in the other. No one at the front desk and no one would answer the phone number provided. They did move us to another room the next day, but didnt comp our room or give any discounts. Also, the pool was green.
