Terrible workers here. I went to get my vehicle inspection, he said I need to buy a new pair of windshield wipers. I told them the wipers were bought a few months ago and are still in excellent condition. He said they left tiny spot of water on the windshield. I refused to buy new wipers from their store and said will buy them somewhere else. He typed in the computer the mileage on my car was 123,111 while it was only 25,850 miles. I drove away to Kroger then realized it was wrong. I do not know whether it was intentional or not but anyway I came back to their store immediately. They stood there and looking at me, talking to each other then looked at me again and laughed. I asked them to remove the orange cone so I can drive in, then I told him the mileage was entered wrong and need to be fixed. They talked to each other and laughed again. Knowing these guys are a whole lot of troubles and I have only 2 weeks left to get a passing vehicle inspection, I went ahead and purchased a new pair of windshield wipers from them. They charged me $36.78 for the new pair then gave me a passing inspection. I then sprayed up the water to my windshield and tuned on the new windshield wipers to show them even new windshield wipers leave tiny spot of water. I told him “Look! They leave tiny bubble water on my windshield just like my old pair”. He just shut his shoulders. I would never come back to this place again.
Remember you have to pull around the back first to get in lineThey fully service your oil here, they have a menu theypresent you before service, they offer minor cosmetics like windshield wipers, and the best part is you dont even have to move from your seat the whole time!
Did a state inspection. They did really well but were kinda slow. Once they saw the line, they started speeding up. But they were super friendly and professional. You stay in your car and go in through the back, not the front. I made that mistake so you dont have to lol. All in all, great service, great price, only a tad slow.
First of all, Brandon was so nice on the phone... Second, Javain came and offered bottled waters almost immediately upon my arrival- he has STELLAR customer service and you could tell he understands the benefit of working as a team. A couple of cars stacked up behind us and he didnt hesitate, he went and greeted them immediately and offered them water too. They all had good customer service!!!! They told me about the coupon, engine air filter and explained all the benefits of coming back. Let me not forget Stafford who made sure that I felt extremely taken care of. There were a couple of other gentleman there that I didnt get their names but they were filling my air tires and totally communicating which you could tell made them run smoothly.GREAT job & Id give them 10 gold stars if I could.
I came here less than a month ago for an oil change. A couple weeks later, I checked the oil for the first time sense and it had barely any in it. My dad put some oil in so I could go back to houston from Austin and the brand new oil was filthy. They did absolutely nothing on my last visit. PRETENDED to provide an oil change. Didn’t even replace the sticker. Which is probably best because now I need a whole new oil change again anyways. Could have blew my engine. I cannot believe this is the kind of unethical activity happening here. Waste of time, waste of money. Very untrustworthy location. I would avoid at all cost!
The group of guys were so energetic, friendly and extremely professional. They even interacted with my baby which made me feel very welcomed. It’s the second time we go to this location since we moved to River Oaks! I’ll definitely be sticking to this location for whatever my car needs!
I pulled into a very busy Take5 and was told there was a 35 minute wait - which was fine considering how busy they were, so I agreed and they pulled me into the first bay waiting spot. At this time there is one car in bay#1, bay #2 and bay #3. Another car pulls into the parking lot and is directed to wait for bay #2 and another for #3 who shows up last. After the car in my bay #1 leaves, I am waiting for another 15-20 mins staring at an empty bay when all of a sudden they let the car from bay #3 out and pull in the next car waiting in that line who happens to be the last one to show up in line. I was extremely upset at this point, I had groceries in my car and I was the first one there but was told I had to wait. But I guess that was just me. Then I tried to give them my coupon before checking out and they said they already ran my payment so they gave me a coupon that I see expires Dec 31 - which probably won’t be useful considering I just got my oil changed.
I loved the experience. The guy name is Brandon, whom performed my oil change and also changed my windshield wipers. He did an awesome job at answering my questions and giving me good information. was very quick, nice price and they are open earlier then most. Also, they gave me free bottle of water, while I wait.
I understand a Sunday rush and a long wait but to allow vehicles to cut in line as a way to prevent other vehicles from being in the street is insane. My family has been waiting over an hour for an oil change to see cars that were behind us go in front of us because of insufficient waiting line management. When we spoke up about how the vehicle that was behind us is getting an oil change before us, we were completely ignored. Horrible customer service.
Ive been a repeat customer at this location for the past 7 years and they have provided exemplary service every time. Brandon, in particular, has been exceptionally informative, helpful and just a pleasure to engage with. This time, Anthony was way tech and he, too was excellent. They were short staffed and still did a bang up job! We really appreciate you guys.
Had State Inspection performed. They had me wait nearly 15min while completing an inspection of the vehicle already in the bay. Then they had me pull in the bay but never acknowledged me. They didnt say anything and did not provide eye contact. They had another person (the 3rd car behind me) pull into another bay that opened after mine (the 2nd car was told to wait at another bay). They immediately serviced that person. Yet they still hadnt acknowledged my presence. Finally someone looked at me and I said I felt ignored. They said they wrestling busy training new people. Thats okay...but they should have informed me BEFORE having me wait the first 15minutes. I lost 30minutes before they even began checking the car for State minimums. Then they never asked if I wanted or needed anything else. I had to tell them to fill two tires that were low. I had to tell them how much air to add. They did not know how to reset the tire pressure sensors and told me it would reset after driving, or, I could find it in the program, or I could contact the dealership. I also needed an oil change but chose not to tell them. I felt I wasnt important enough for them so I concluded I wasnt going to spend any more of my money there.
This place and their staff are the bee’s knees!!I pulled into this place because it was on the way to my destination, and started to pull out because I found a Groupon at another place and wanted to save some money.Demond came and asked why I was leaving and asked what he could do to get my business. He advised they would be willing to do a price match, and he had a very enthusiastic, pleasant, and infectious attitude that encouraged me to stay, (and put me in a good mood).I recommend this place to anyone with or without a coupon. The staff are kind, thorough, fast, professional, and enjoyable.
Unfortunately, the first employee to approach my car was not properly wearing a mask (his mask was below his nose) and he approached very closely to my truck window. I quickly rolled up my window, but, he didn’t care and never properly adjusted his mask.After waiting for several minutes (longer than 5 minutes, which is, of course, the shop’s name!), the second employee that did my truck inspection wore his mask properly and was very professional and polite.I would have given the second employee a five star rating despite the wait, but, the mask issue at the beginning really scared me. They should teach their employees to respect their customers’ health.
I pulled into the parking lot and stop short of the garage doors to search for their 50% off oil change coupon, while I was searching on Google for the coupon the worker came and knocked on my window and I explain to him that I was looking for the 50% off coupon which he replied to me just pull up to the first garage door on the right. Which I thought was wonderful because he was going to honor the coupon without having a coupon. After receiving the service I explain to the person that the gentleman had told me he would honor the 50% off coupon. The worker went to ask him about this which he replied no you have to have the coupon. Which I replied to him that’s what I was looking for when you told me to pull into the driveway to get the service which I wouldn’t have done without having the coupon. This turned into an ordeal with him threatening to call the police on me and wanting me to pay the full price for the oil change which I was refusing to do then he decided that he was going to ban me from take five oil change company and his store and I was not allowed to come back there anymore and gave me the oil change for free because he didn’t want my money. The truth is I don’t think you have to worry about me returning to your location anyway sir! Or any take size since I’ve been “banned” from Take 5 Oil Change. Just bad business first you give me the oil for free instead of taking the 50% off and now you banned me from coming back and giving you more money for future services, not a good business model.
I strongly do not recommend this location. I have been going there for the last year and have had my skid plate damage on two separate occasions. This first I paid for the myself parts and repaired it. This last time is the final straw.There are plenty of other reputable locations or oil service places that will do a good job without damaging your vehicle.
Always gone to Take 5 because of the quality of work, fair pricing, and quick timing. Maintenance worker that assisted me was knowledgeable, engaging, and took time to explain what different options meant. He placed honesty and customer satisfaction over profit when giving me the you need a new cabin filter spiel, informing me that I really didnt need a new one since my car was newer. In and out in 20 minutes.
I was turned away from the location at 505 Durham Dr, Houston, TX 77007 by Demarcus and another employee because they did have have the proper key to my skid plate. I drive a 2018 Kia Optima... this issue has never been a problem the several times ive visited this location. Without further assessment of the situation, the other employee was already handing me back my oil and oil filter that I provided. I called and spoke to Francisco, he was very helpful and professional over the phone saying he would address the issue. I then went to visit another location on 1901 W Gray St, Houston, TX 77019. As I arrived, I noticed that there was a longer wait, and only one employee. After about 45 minutes of waiting, it was confirmed. Brandon was single handedly running the shop and performing at a level that I think not even three or four techs could do. His professionalism and attitude were outstanding. Never did he look frustrated and take it out on the customers. Like at the other store, it was just attitude and unprofessional. Brandon took care of my vehicle without hesitation and was quick with the process. I can assure that if this company does not to something to keep this man to stay, another company will snag him up. His work ethic is what is sought after while visiting a store like this. I highly recommend this individual for anyone looking to get an oil change in the near future. He is what defines quality over quantity through this company. A must for promotion and retention if possible.
Took my vehicle in for an inspection and was seen right away. Brandon was very professional and did a thorough job. He noted that my battery had some corrosion on it and told me where I could purchase a kit to fix it. He even offered to do it for me if I bought the kit. Excellent service!
It was my first time and my experience was not great. They have 3 lanes poorly labeled for the services they each offer. Apparently 2 lanes can do both oil changes and state inspections and only one lane does not do state inspections. After waiting 40 mins in the wrong lane they told me I had to go to the back of one of the other two lanes and wait again another 45 mins with a toddler in the car.... Needless to say some better signage would help, or better yet, provide all services in all 3 lanes! The techs were good at their jobs which is why I gave the place 3 stars.
They were all so attentive and courteous. They changed my oil and filter and checked the fluids in my truck. They also checked my tire pressure because my light was on. They did everything quickly and made sure I was squared away. Very happy with my service. I would recommend them to everyone!
The overall experience was pleasantly surprising and nice. This is the first oil change I have been to where they looked at my filter and said it was clean enough no not need changing. The whole process was quick and fair, and the staff was nice. Oil change, emissions, and wiper change all in 15 mins.
I drove in, stayed in my car and they did the whole oil change really quickly! They even showed me the dipstick to verify that the new oil was actually in there (important, back in my high school days a place changed my sister’s oil & forgot to put the new oil in, her engine seized up and was completely destroyed). The staff at Take 5 was helpful and friendly, and did a really good job! I will definitely go back, especially since they’re a block away from my house.
I got my oil changed here yesterday. Honestly the best experience I’ve ever had getting my oil changed. Staff was hard working and knowledgeable and the manager on duty was fantastic to work with and very honest.Also, if you see a negative review around the date of my review, there was a customer in front of me that threatened to leave a bad review because Take 5 was refusing to do an illegal inspection.Definitely get your oil changed here. Will only come here going forward.
My Experience at Take 5 was excellent! They were fast, friendly, and very reasonably priced. They offer and excellent veteran discount (25%) and did not try to upsell me a bunch of stuff I did not need. Brandon, the manager, was extremely welcoming and my technicians, Carron and Mark, went above and beyond. I will definitely be returning.
They’re so nice and helpful! Very informative and smart guys! Very quick also! And just accommodating! They even gave my mom and I water and checked my tire pressure and just did their job very swift and well! Thank you! You can count on me coming back for my next one !
My first time at 5 minute oil change. Went on a Sunday morning for my state inspection renewal and Brandon was very helpful and kind. During these precautionary times with Covid going on they have you remain in your car and walk you through kind-of this interactive experience; of honking the horn, wipers, brake check, blinker etc. Brandon was very clear, helpful and friendly to someone that knows nothing about cars. I would highly recommend this place for their professionalism and quality. I was in and out in 15 minutes.
Was a regular returning customer. After a 25 minute wait, was told to wait another 15 minutes while they took at least one car that arrived after I did. All that I needed was their promoted service of an oil check between changes. Poor customer service with high prices and questionable products.
Quick and efficient. I didn’t have to get out my car once, I’m a little lazy these days so this was a plus for me. Went there for an oil change on a high mileage 2015 Nissan Altima and paid $87, this is a little steep to what I normally pay at $60 but not a big deal. They go the extra mile and put air in your tires and clean your windows. I was there no more than 15 minutes.
Brandon did an amazing job changing the oil on my vehicle! He didnt try and pressure me into getting weird flushes like jiffy lube, and he was teaching some newer guys how to always safety check the car. Easily the best place to get your oil done and I would highly recommend spending the extra $3 and get the best service in Houston!
I asked for the 25% discount the sign clearly states “25% discount on any oil change” right in front of the store I asked for it from the beginning. Tech goes on to do his job fix me up. Once he’s done he then tells me it’s only available to vets. Brought that to the manager who said he cannot help me with my problems. Sure they did a good job and quick but didn’t follow through.
Called to check on whether they did inspections and how busy they were and while I was still asking a few questions Brendon (maybe Brandon/Brennon) hung up on me. Went down there anyway and was inside within minutes and out in 20! Great efficiency and would absolutely use them again.
Impatient and disgruntled worker assumes the customers know the way they’ve changed business due to COVID. I got out of my car (with a mask on) and the guy yelled “No! Get back in your car! This is a drive through service!” Seemed like he was unhappy to exist. Do yourself a favor and go to Montrose Car Care (They moved to just south of 59 off Montrose Blvd).
My car is 2020 & new model. Not in their system yet. But the manager (Brandon) is smart & kind, and he worked with me to accomplish oil&filter change (I provided the filter). He remembered me from my First visit previously. The location is near my house. All of this is important to me. They are my go-to shop👍.
Stellar service. i had my oil changed and wipers replaced today by carron, brandon, naster, and sab. carron explained everything they were doing to my car, every step of the way, and offered me a water bottle as well. everyone was friendly and helpful, and the costs were very reasonable considering the amazing service. ill definitely be back!
The staff is extremely nice and understanding! I had a lot of car troubles at other places around downtown Houston, and they were very relieving to finally find after having bad service at multiple places elsewhere. They are reasonable priced, do a great job, and best of all are great with customer service! It seems as though they genuinely care about helping you out.
We came in from El Paso because my sister has cancer and is getting treated at MD Anderson. Since we had little time to prepare for our short trip, I decided I’d get an oil change in Houston. We pulled into the first oil change service we could find and I’m glad we made it to this one. Brandon and his crew were friendly and prompt! Brandon gave us 5 star service with a smile on his face, even on his birthday! Thanks to the whole crew, you guys made our travels that much easier. Happy birthday again Brandon!
This place is amazing! Five Stars! 10/10! I went here because it was an emergency, and it turned out great. I needed an oil change. I have a hard time trusting other places where you could get an oil change. I did the right decision in trusting these folks. I want to give a great big shoutout to: Stefan, Myke, & Noster! I was the first person in line and they helped everyone except me, I sat in the there while they worked on two other people cars that came after me. I sat for 30 mins waiting to be even spoken to then waited another 15 while they helped the other two cars that were behind me. Rude and terrible service.
I went to this location on 11/9 for a standard state inspection. At first I was relieved because my normal mechanic wasn’t able as they are limited. They were friendly upon arrival and offered me a fresh bottle of water. When I sat down in the waiting area, there were a few people ahead of me. Each person was told they needed new wiper blades before passing inspection. I figured it was a coincidence until they told me I needed it too and I asked them to show me. My car had just been at Honda where they do the multi-point inspection and the wiper blades were fine. They said there was a streak and when they turned it on, there was no streak, it was where there was excess water on that single line of water. I was very annoyed. They told me they wouldn’t pass it until I got their wiper blades. Due to the limits regular mechanics have on how many inspections they can do, they are one of the few people that can do unlimited inspections and it felt like I was taken advantage of. As I was leaving, another person was being told they needed new wiper blades.
I have been going here for several years for my annual car inspection. The wait is never long. I recently started taking my car there for service and am extremely pleased. Everyone is pleasant and accommodating. The prices charged for servicing my car have been more than reasonable.Once an issue is diagnosed, scheduling a time for the repair is easy, sometimes even while you wait. Not only are they knowledgeable, but they are honest if they are unable to fix it and can make a referral.These guys are the best!!
I am glad I found this place. Excellent customer service. I used to take my car to the dealership, but I had to make an appointment, which is hard on my schedule as a trucker. Pretty much in and out, sit in car while they change oil and top off fluids. I highly recommend this place.
I cant say enough positive things about Brandon. As soon as I came in he treated me like a king and serviced my vehicle like a true professional. I dont live around this area, but I will make sure to bring my car here next time it needs an oil change and hope he is working. May God bless this business!
Byron and Anthony are THE best. This Havoline is the only place I come to because I know that they are the guys that I can trust to get the job done fast.I recently got my car inspection done here, and even though their inspection computer was done for two weeks, I came back everyday to check if they were up and running. I didnt want to go to anyone else but them.If there is anyone else that can do a better job, dont even bother telling me because I can *guarantee* you that these guys will not just match it, but do it even better!
I have been using this place for years, and for the most part have been satisfied. However I took my Honda CR-V in on 6/18/19 for an oil change, they had me out in a short time. But they didnt do any of the things they normally do... check air pressure, add windshield fluid, etc. Didnt even clean windshield. The receipt indicated they did all of these things. Makes me wonder if they really changed my oil. I am done with them forever.
They had 2 newbies fill up my alleged full synthetic oil. Poured into my car out of some sort of pitcher that was filthy looking. The 2 rookies, then proceeded to over inflate 2 left side tires to 5 lbs over, and didnt inflate the 2 right side tires at all. Will never ever be going back. And the manager kept calling me boss. Who says that?
Decent place for an oil change, but if a mechanical issue arises... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This place will overcharge you and give you misleading information.Three weeks ago I went to get my state inspection done.The check engine light was on and because of the code it ran up, I did not pass.They then pulled my car aside and looked under the hood to see what was the issue.After looking at that, the guy helping said that they could replace it for me and run my vehicle inspection again free of charge.So I asked for a quote, because I wont make any major moves on my car without going to a few sources. I also keep a record of invoices & past transactions in a folder under my passenger seat so I can compare the cost of services IRL.And right there, without looking up part prices. or running it through a system, he quoted me $160.I asked how he came up with that, he said 80 for the part, 80 for laborBut, I was looking for an actual invoice.So I waited till we went inside and he rang me up for the inspection. I then asked again, expecting him to give me a detailed invoice. Which he did not and then he proceeded to say 160 for the repair, is that fine with you maam.I was shocked at how dismissive he was to me, so I said thanks and was on my way.This Friday I went to a trusted mechanic, they inspected my vehicle and quoted the part at $18, and the cost of labor at $49. The whole thing took under an hour and set me back $76.If I wasnt skeptical and did my research, I would have payed more than double!ON ANOTHER NOTE, Havoline did an oil change for me back in November of 17.A few days later my windshield wiper was working but not releasing any pump fluids. I went back to Havoline because they had just did an oil change for me and I just thought they forgot to replace the fluids.One of the guys told me the pump was clogged, so I asked if they unclog it. The guy said they were not capable of doing so, so I moved along peacefully and went to a mechanic.I told them what the guy just told me and they said it was nothing of that sort. They just said the windshield washer pump was broken and needed to be replaced...
Stopped in for an inspection and they changed from Havoline to Take 5.... Guessing this was a franchise swap since both entities have locations still. Anyway.... Wasnt sure what to expect with the whole COVDI situation going on but, this is a much better solution than the normal safety process.Pulled up and was directed to the correct line which had moved since the last inspection at this location. Middle bay s now inspections not the far left like it used to be.I think it took about 10 mins for the vehicle in front of me to move through the process and then about the same for my inspection. None of the get out of the car and go sit in the lobby like in the past. Just sit in the AC, right, ;left, brake, horn... open the door for the VIN scan and air pressures for your tires while they run the test.The best part though was asking for a discount like usual as theres always some coupon for something and he pulled out a $10 coupon (LPDOEM10) w/o any fuss. Im sure its some loyalty program they have with Take 5 vs the old Havoline system. I had asked because I had been looking on Groupon and theres tons of offers on there but, the reviews arent so great for those places and theyre not close to get to either.A+ Lamar!! Keep up the hard work!
Friendly staff and good service. Had a pleasant experience and prices were reasonable. I dropped my car off, so not sure about the wait time if you stay until the car is ready. The guy at the counter was helpful and seemed genuinely concerned that the work was done right.
Always a pleasure. I’ve lived all over Houston and still make the drive into the city for this location. The manager is super personable and professional. The service is so quick - I pulled in, got my oil changed, and left within 15 minutes. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I went in with the car interior clean and spotless. When they gave me my car back there was oil and grease all over the interior. I ask that they at least clean off the seat so that my clothes would not be stained. They laughed at me. I found a rag and whipped off the seat and immediately drove to the carwash and spent $50 to have the grease and oil cleaned out of the interior. I plan to never return.
It took me going to 3 take fives not one not two but three to get my oil changed but after it was done I was satisfied and they took care of me and I will be going back the price was fair and make sure you go on line and get the 50% off coupon and it was helpful for my truck I had $180 bill
Great experience! I went in for an oil change, check-up and state inspection. They showed me a few extra things they were going to check. My car didnt end up needing it, but it was nice of them to take the time to educate me! Also, no wait time and service didnt take long at all!I will be back!
I have come to this location for inspections over the last few years, never with a problem. This week I brought in a new car I purchased out of state for an inspection. It was clear from the beginning the unprofessional service tech did not want to inspect my car. No clue why. He cane up with multiple bogus reasons it wouldn’t pass. When I pushed back, I watched him purposely enter the wrong information into the state computer, multiple times, so that it couldn’t pull the record up. Then he pretended the computer was frozen. Went down the street to another store and it immediately passed. What a waste of time.
Quick and honest service. I cannot tell you how hard it is to find a place that will not try to get away with things because you are a woman. These guys inspected my car and that was all; no BS included. I appreciated that. I am so glad I was recommend this place and will continue to come here for service.
Single mom, not knowing a lot about cars, did my research before choosing a shop. Thinking I probably needed extra services, and not wanting to pay more than was needed. Byron who was running the shop was the professional who helped me. He let me know what I needed, what I didnt need (told me half and half oil change would do well, and save me the price of doing the whole job in synthetic saving me money), and even had coupons to use for me at the end. Highly recommend, there is a reason they are more highly rated here than the other shops. I drove past two other express lube shops to use them, and it was worth it.
I straight up got scammed .,, I went in for an oil change and honestly had wonderful service.... but when I got home I checked my oil level and filter....It was still dirty and they just cleaned up my old (FIRESTONE) oil filter... Honestly Is not even about the money, (YOU KEEP IT) its the fact that these guys were so nice and friendly to my face.. Even a handshake . Makes me sad that evil people like this exist in the world.
I took my 2017 TRD PRO 4Runner for the required vehicle state inspection and one of their incompetent employees dented my car door as he carelessly opened it and banged it against the edge of one of their machines. This employee was so careless that didn’t even apologize, all he said was “but it didn’t remove the paint”. I went ahead and got a few estimates ($700.00) of the repair from local body shops and emailing them to the regional manager but haven’t heard back. Unfortunately the dent can’t be fix via the paintless dent repair. This shop was extremely unprofessional and their corporate office even more so. It really makes me mad that the only dent I have on my car was caused by an incompetent, unprofessional, lazy individual that doesn’t even want to be there.
Is there a negative star? Im browsing the reviews and went back to confirm that this was the same place. Yup. Today, got completely scalped at this shop. I didnt go completely nuts because my daughter was with me. Charged me $170.50. It took an hour and a half. I went in for an oil change on a meticulously maintained vehicle, but needed to have engine flushed. Then, got in the car to inspect: no wiper fluid, low tire pressure, no vacuum, all things I was charged for. Yeah, Im writing them to get my money back.
The employees barely spoke a word to me. When I pulled up, no one approached the car to give me direction. When I went inside I had to wait awhile before anyone acknowledged I was in there. When they finished I was addressed as you to come pay for my inspection. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming. The only positive is that I got my car inspected in less than 20 minutes.
I normally have good experiences here, especially for safety inspections. I came in the other day for a patch on a nail in my tire though and was surprised to see them call over a man sitting in the bed of his pickup in the corner. He was disheveled, not in any discernible uniform, and unkempt. He even had a scrawled tattoo that said Lil Dick on his forearm. He stated he could patch it for $25 cash only. I said I didnt have cash and he told me to walk over to the bank.Needless to say I felt uncomfortable and unassured with the unprofessionalism of it all. I decided to leave and get it done free of charge elsewhere. Again, I normally have a good experience here but this situation was all types of sketchy.
Great customer service all around. I usually come here on a Sunday and the staff is always so happy even though its a weekend. They explain everything clearly to me and make honest recommendations - even when the recommendation is to hold off on a service. I highly recommend!
I have been a loyal customer of the location for approx 7.... maybe 10 years.... b/c the service is consistently first class and better than any other place I have been to. Part of the business model is to up sell, like every other place in the U.S., inclg McDonalds. I used to hate that. Now, as it relates to servicing my vehicle, I appreciate it. I trust them. And.... I can always say, no, thank you.
When it got to my turn they made me circle around because the car that was there right before me hadn’t gone in yet which made sense so I circled around but then two cars who arrived after me went first which was rather frustrating when I had already waited 45 minutes and they made me wait so that someone who showed up one car before me could go first

I brought my 2004 Civic in a few weeks ago for an inspection, I throw the code on the O2 sensor, I paid for the failed inspection, took me about a week or two to order a new one and install it, after that I brought it in again and they reset my cars computer free of charge, brought it in a few days later after putting some miles on the fresh computer, my car passed the inspection, free again, they were pretty fast I was able to bring it in less than an hour before closing and they saw me every time.

2022-02-06I came here for a state inspection and oil change. The last time I had an oil change was in 2020 and I thought I was overdue for one but because Ive barely driven, and the guys here saw that the oil was running clear, they advised that I didnt need the oil change, which I appreciated. They were very efficient with the state inspection as well. Everyone was beyond professional but I have to recognize Lucas for the excellent customer service. Even the other people in my car noted how friendly, and well-mannered Lucas was. Overall, Im really happy about being a customer at Take 5. In all the locations Ive been in, customer service has been great. The only minor thing I noticed is that the folks I saw here were not masked.

2022-05-24Great customer service! I sent my high school daughter to get an oil change at this location for the first time and I needed specific oil & my military discount. I called to make sure she could get that and the person I talked to was so helpful. He was patience while I searched for my VIN to look up my vehicle and verified everything and ensured my daughter had a seamless process!

2022-06-05The people that work here are always so friendly and helpful. I was able to get my Tesla M3 inspected here in less than 10 minutes at 11:30 on a Sunday morning. Zero wait time. I was able to sit in my car the whole time. Definitely recommend this place!

2022-05-06I come to this location with my personal car and two of my company cars and I am always happy. Mike (the manager) is always super polite and helpful with his explanations on what he and his crew are doing to my cars. I also never end up waiting more than 15 minutes total, from when I pull up, to when I leave. I love take 5 and never go anywhere else!

2022-06-07I called to check on the time I would be waiting for an oil change and inspection and some older sounding lady answered. She told me not to worry about it, that is was first come first serve and hung up on me. I called back and no one answered. Part of me wants to go there to tell her to %#¥@$ but instead I decided to no longer frequent that or any Take 5 location ever again. Instead I went to a competitor and had a great experience, and will take all the automobiles i am responsible for to those guys. Need to write them a good review but couldn’t keep myself from writing this first. I think it’s sad that this woman who was a representative for this business is screwing up their business on purpose nonetheless. And getting paid to do it while she does. People are ridiculous.

2022-06-01Whatever you do please do not even consider taking your vehicle to Take 5 at 1901 W. Gray Street Houston, Texas 77019My daughter has a 2015 Chevy Cruze and took her car in May of this year. After bringing it in just for an oil change that only cost a few dollars it is now costing over 1k due to Take 5After she left from there the oil pan was cracked and her serpentine belt broke causing major issues , it went from a simple oil change to a cracked oil pan that led to all the oil coming out of her car, serpentine belt, harmonic balancer, oil pump etc...this should have never happen over an oil change they have workers there that does not take pride in what they do. They hire guys off the street that will show up and say oh yea....I know how to change oil . Well it is more to just pouring it out and pouring more in. I work for a dealership and have been for 10 years now this is uncalled for. My daughter is now left without a way to work for the past 2 weeks due to the vehicle still being repaired on.I have a Honda Civic Coupe 2017 and a few years ago Take 5 on Ambassador here in Lafayette, La changed my oil and they forgot to tighten my oil pan back should have known from that experience but often times you think lets give the Business another chance.DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO1901 W.
