The service at this Take 5 location was such good quality. Initially, I was upset to hear they were out of the oil filter I needed, but the tech offered to perform the oil change if I purchased my own filter. This was music to my ears because they were the only location nearby with the oil I needed. The service was quick because the technicians were very knowledgeable and professional. They even showed me functions on my vehicle that I didn’t even know I had. Thank you!
I use Take 5 for oil changes on both my vehicles. They are very attentive and conscientious towards the care and time they take with my vehicles. I have been going to this location since they took ownership from the prior owners. The workers here are always professional. You can tell from their demeanor that they take pride in the services that they are providing. The manager(Chris Oquendo) that was there when I first started using them has since been promoted to a district manager which I believe was a smart decision on management’s part as he exemplified the level of care and competence I would want if I owned a business. I followed him to this location after he left Jiffy Lube and have never regretted it.Thank you Take 5 for your continued great service!!!
Very nice staff and very professional and thorough, that is the report I received from my wife. I was a little thrown off that it cost my wife $95 dollars for a oil change so im not anticipating going back for that reason when i can buy an oil filter and 7 qts of oil for under 40 dollars!
We went to this location to get an inspection sticker. The gentlemen working were so polite and greeted us promptly. The guy who did our inspection (I didn’t catch is name), was BEYOND helpful. We’re new to the area and weren’t familiar with the process for a new vehicle. I can definitely say that this gentleman was 1000% more helpful than anyone that we dealt with at the dealership we purchased the vehicle from. I just wanted to say thank you one more time to the gentlemen working October 6 around 6PM. 10/10 recommend this location!
All of the gentlemen that assisted me were helpful, knowledgeable, mannerable, and they worked quickly. I was greeted immediately by a gentleman that actually looked like he was on his way out, but he seemed happy to help me. They did not try to sell me anything unnecessary, which I also genuinely appreciate. A big thanks to Brayden, Joshua, Miles, and the gentleman that greeted me.
I have been coming to this branch for regular oil change and state inspection with the same truck that I have been using for the last 3 years. Today, my dear inspector (!) did a great job and failed my state inspection not because of something mechanical. He found my window tints are darker than it should be. Funny thing is I passed the inspection with the same tints last year at the very same place. 20 minutes later, I stopped by another shop and I passed my inspection, good job!
The team at Take Five delivers. At a time when the supply chain worries adversely impact business, Take Five is making it happen. I’ve taken two of my five vehicles in the last few days for oil changes. I’m both instances I was able to bring my own Oil and Filter. Between O’reilly’s having filters and full synthetic in stock, and positive direction for the technicians it’s “job done” vs someone telling the customer what they can’t do to service the vehicle. I’ll be back to the League City location.
I wish I could leave a review. However I never actually received service. I have been to this business before and always received satisfactory service. Today I was pulled into the bay behind another car. I observed three employees stand in front of that car and smoke and joke with each other. It appeared nothing was being done to that car and I know nothing was being done to mine while at least three employees were standing around doing nothing. I backed out of the bay and do not intend on returning.
Horrible service. Got there at 10, no cars In the oil change bays. Asked for an oil change and fuel filter change. I was told they don’t do fuel filters even though their website states that they do I was told it would be 25 minutes for them to get to me for the oil change. (Again , no cars in oil change bays, website says 10 minute oil change???) I stated no problem my wife can pick me up, I will leave it with you.I was told we don’t allow drop offs. I left and went to Valvoline Express Lube about 5 min away. They have an awesome service
I went in for a car inspection and the person who assisted me was very helpful, quick, and kind. He inspected the car and even checked the air and cabin filters as he knows much more about Nissans and all that than I do. Ill definitely come back the next time my car needs anything.
I needed a state inspection. But since my battery was recently replaced, several sensors had the ‘Not Ready’ light. I was given detailed instructions on how to ‘clear’ these lights & told to return for a free re-inspection at any Take 5 location within 14 days. I did so & passed the 2nd time & it was free - I just showed them the receipt & inspection results from the previous visit. The mechanics were extremely helpful, polite, & wore their masks, etc, both times. Highly recommended, very convenient hours & location. Will use again! :-)
I wanted to get an oil change and was curious to try Take 5. Overall had an awesome experience and your team was professional and courteous. The manager Joseph was great. Joseph even told me to be on it look out for future maintenance as my vehicle was about to go over 75000 miles. Overall great service.
I gave this place a 3. They did a good job on changing my oil but some of their staff is rude. I took my mustang there about a year ago... Maybe less than a year ago. The guy guiding me was extremely rude to the point where he was rolling his eyes at me! It took alot for me not to say something. I went again after and thank God he wasnt there. ( I work near here so its convenient for me).Today I went and took my Volvo. Yet again the person guiding me ... A different guy... Was fairly rude. Making faces like he didnt want to be there. Asking me questions and when I wasnt sure about something he would sigh and walk off. Like really people?? THE GUYS DOING MY OIL CHANGE WERE NOTHING BUT PROFESSIONAL,HAPPY,AND NICE. If it wasnt for them this place would get a 1 star.
They didn’t officially open until 7 am, but they took me in at 0645. They were extremely nice, explaining everything that they were doing step-by-step. Both of the guys were very professional and quick. I had a great experience and will definitely come back there for my next oil change.
First time using Take 5 oil change. I was very impressed. Excellent service, did not need to leave my vehicle and the workers were very informative and shared all service Information as they were working. Definitely recommend them and will be returning for any work needed in the future.
Got state inspection super fast - no line at all! Came right to my car with mask on - (this was during the pandemic), I handed over the keys & he immediately started the inspection. Took 10-20 minutes tops. Comfortable chairs outside & inside, & the waiting room was clean as a whistle. No upsells, etc, just my inspection & no tricks. Very pleased & the hours are great too - 7am to 7pm, even on a Friday!
Workers did a good job on the oil change and inspection. Little things like using a squeegee to clean the windshield and wiping off the excess fluid with a towel make a difference.This is my go-to oil change shop even though it is further from home than the Webster location which has inexplicably closed for the last couple of weeks.Only issue was worker trying to up sell me on a synthetic but really didn’t fully explain the benefit.Overall, it was a good experience.
Really great service they explained everything they where doing and what needed to be done. Very polite and apologetic for the wait, I wasnt in a rush so it was OK. They had a few cars ahead of mine it was definitely understandable. They had a very good energy and did a good job.
Went in at 5:30 pm for an inspection! Chris Oquendo, the manager, was extremely kind and helpful! My inspection was done within 10 minutes. I was planning to get my registration done the following day, but Chris had a point of sale system for registration and I was able to pay for my registration immediately after my inspection. They’re mailing my sticker to my house! Super happy with the service I received and I plan on returning for oil changes
I came in for auto inspection. Nice people but the were a little busy with other oil change customers. Gave each customer a bottle of water for the wait. With Covid-19, I would suggest they give us sanitizing wipes or hand sanitizers to clean our steering wheels and keys as a precaution when we got our cars back.I would recommend.
I went to get my oil changed here because a friend had recommended the place, when I got there they were very friendly, they saw my sticker was going to be out at the end of the month and asked if I wanted to get it inspected as well, I told them that I have been having evap system problems and they said theyd take a look. 30 minutes waiting they called me over to the car to tell me the battery had a low charge and showed me the paper of the charge coming from the battery and that was causing the issues that I had brought up(my issue was that when I filled my car with gas, it wouldnt want to start right after doing that). Yes I dont know much about cars but if it starts just fine up until the point that I fill my car up then the battery isnt the problem, but it had already been a year or so since Ive had the battery changed so I said go ahead. That was the only issue they told me I had so I could get it inspected, I didnt get it inspected there because I knew that wasnt the source of the problem. And after I left I went to fill my car up and the problem they had said would be fixed by the new battery was still there, also while I was there they failed to mention that I had a minor oil leak prior to the oil change, didnt find out till I looked at the paper later on, a couple days later I went to a mechanic shop to get my car fixed of all issues and they did have to change a gasket, but they had also said that the gasket underneath wasnt tightened all the way after draining the oil. So now I have oil all under the bottom of my car that was leaking because it wasnt tightened all the way. I find it disappointing that I didnt have a good experience there and that the mindset there is to just make a profit by saying issues are caused by things, when thats clearly not the case.
I will try to explain the inexplicable.. I have owned the same car for 5 years. A nice car, well maintained, no modifications. I believe in supporting local businesses, so I would come here over the years, for occasional oil changes, and inspections. Monday, 11/4/19, was the last time that I, my family and friends would go to what is now called “Take 5”. They failed my car, not for emissions, but for window tint. The same compliant window tint, on the same car, that has passed right there, and everywhere that I’ve ever taken my car to. I tried to appeal to this lobotomized, irrational child manager, the FACT, that my car has been there multiple times and has always passed inspection, and certainly for window tint, and that he would only need to check past records that would confirm this. He refused to check, stating, “We are a new company now, and it does not matter what the records would reflect”. For those unaware, in the state of Texas, when your vehicle fails inspection in one place, it will fail everywhere, and you still have to pay! This is a painful fact, when you know that you’re right. Long story short, at my request, an officer was called. Although seeing my point exactly, he maintained that I still had to pay. While paying, this individual said to me.. I can see that you were in fact here before. I was so angry, I thought it best to remain silent while enduring this intellectually deficient individual. I normally don’t write reviews, but this individual was so ineptly unprofessional, I had no choice. His unwillingness to simply check the records is incomprehensible. Afterwards, I went right down the street, and just like I knew it would, my car passed with flying colors. The professional group that performed my inspection was flabbergasted at “Take 5’s” totally wrong diagnosis to fail my car. ESPECIALLY, when it has passed there under Kwik Kar, AND everywhere else. My Take, to “take 5”... take more than 5 minutes to train your staff, and hire professionals, not children. I would give this place 0 stars, but it would not let me post this review.
Ive been coming here for years and these guys always provide excellent service. They are extremely fair with pricing and always willing to help out and go the extra mile. Ive never had a bad experience with getting any service done from State Inspections to oil changes. The owner is always friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this shop to anyone!
I took my car in for a state inspection and my car was the only one in for service at that time. I sat in the lobby for 30 minutes while my car sat running in the bay waiting for the inspector. I finally asked someone when it was going to be inspected and they said that I needed to wait until they finished the car with the oil change. It came in about 7 or 8 minutes after I came in. When the inspector came out he said he was doing an oil change and the inspection would only take 5 minutes. If I had known that I was a lower priority I would have taken my car somewhere else.
Jeff and Richie were wonderful. Let me just say that I deliver for Doordash in Webster as well as live in Webster. I have gone to the Take 5 location on Bay Area 3 times and waited so long that I had to back out and leave. Im talking over 30 min. Jeff & Richie were very polite professional presentable and prompt. I was very pleased. I will make the drive to your location everytime. Thanks for keeping me rolling.
Engine kept dying two weeks after oil change forthis place and found This place only added 3 of 6 quarts back into engine after oil change. Be cautious of this place because I thought maybe the engine was burning or loosing oil but just went through another oil cycle and oil was still in range after 5000 miles. So not slander, just had a horrible company service vehicle.
Changed ownership in 2017. Before that it was great - the owner was always there, he would check every job before it was finished. She ran the front desk. Never had a problem. Now its just not the same, attention to detail is not there. I drive about 100 miles a day and need my car in top condition at all times. I cant trust it to them now.
They are always so great! I am ALWAYS in and out! The guys are super friendly and always suggest what’s best for the customer. I just went in after work to get a state inspection , got there at 5:15 and was out by 5:45! Chris, the manager is such a sweetheart and remembers his regulars!
I went in early on Saturday morning and wss out in 20min.Got just an oil change but they were courteous and no complaints from me. Came from Honda clear lake where I was told my 9am appt. was going to be a 1.5 hr wait..for that free oil change you get with car purchase..ha.
I went to get my oil changed and state inspection done. When I pulled up, there were only 2 cars in the bay. The guy said it wouldnt be that long. An hour an a half later, they still werent done. They kept stopping the work on my car to go back and forth to other cars that had pulled in after me. In the time I waited, 3 other cars had come and gone.The waiting area was tidy, however there was NO air conditioning on....in June. It was not pleasant.My vehicle is new, nothing needed to be fixed. A simple oil change and inspection should NOT have taken and hour and a half when there were at least 4 employees working.
I live in Pearland, TX and have been coming here for over 8 years for oil changes and inspections. I wont bring my vehicles to any other place. By talking to other people in the lobby while waiting; people come from all over the area as well. Fantastic service, keep up the good work.
My name is LaNisha Patterson. I am a Ph.D. Candidate at UTMB. I paid for an oil change on August 31st by Kwik Kar in League City, TX for my 2017 Chevy Camero which I purchased in 2018 with 17,000 on it. Two days later while driving on the freeway all the oil came out of my car and the oil pressure low warning light came on. I pulled over as soon as I could and checked the oil levels in my vehicle and there was no oil at all. I have photos of the oil leaking.I had to get my car towed to the shop. I received a call from Kwik Kar after letting them know what happened and they checked the car out. They said it was due to a faulty oil filter and changed the filter out and filled it with oil again. This was done by Chris from Kwik Kar who is the general manager. I took the car to work and heard noises coming from the engine. I immediately called Chris and let him know. He met me at my school and looked at the car again and said the oil filter was the wrong size and this was supposedly due to what the manufacturers told them. He changed out the filter again and promised me things should be good.I drove the car home and while driving home my engine locked on the freeway. I had to have my vehicle towed to a Chevrolet dealership. Chris had previously told me if I took it there to make sure things were ok he had friends there that could check it out. Once I realized where the car was being towed to I immediately had it towed to a different Chevrolet dealership where it still is.No one from their insurance company has called me. The GM and his supervisor accepted responsibility for the damages and have left me nothing but empty promises to cover all the damages of replacing the engine on my vehicle and I have not gotten any calls at all. They have consistently lied to me and have not taken care of the situation at all. I have had to pay rental costs myself of which I cannot afford as I am a full-time graduate school student.The GM and manager at Kwik Kar continue to ignore my attempts to communicate and have no compassion for the hardship this has caused me. Now I have no way to work and am in jeopardy with my job. I have documentation of my paid oil change and the estimate from the dealership of the cost for damages to replace my engine.
Pulled up and saw both bays empty and eight guys wrestling in the shop. When I went in the office the young lady told me that it would be at least 45 minutes for an inspection. I commented on the multiple people in the shop and she said they were just hanging out and she only had one inspection tech.
Kwik Kar Lube N Tune: Did they change ownership? I suggest to NOT go to the location near Ross elementary (2102 W. Main). I am extremely angry with them right now. I took my car there to get an inspection and the person in charge of my car turned my lights to manual. I ALWAYS have it on auto, and since my garage door is bright in the sunlight I did not notice the lights were on after leaving my car in the driveway. Now my battery is DEAD!!! Im just relieved I figured this out before having to be at work at 6am. 😡😡😡😡😡 Last month my husband took his Volkswagen there for an oil change and the person in charge of that lost some screws and did NOT correctly replace the skid plate. My husband had to clean up that mess himself by taking it to the dealership to get it put back on correctly.I will NEVER go back there again for ANY service whatsoever and I recommend that no one else does either.😡😡😡
Today I brought my $50,000 truck in for a oil change and fuel filter change only, the guy brought my air cleaner into me and said it and my rear differential fluid needs to be changed, I said again just the oil and fuel filter, he said ok, he came back in and asked if I had a kill switch on it, I said no just the clutch, I went into the bay and my door was up against a metal vacuum dragging up and down it everytime they got in it. Then the tech remember he unplugged a switch to get to the fuel filter. The last time I paid for full service they left the hose off my air cleaner and only checked the rear diff when its 4x4.Ive been coming here for 10 years with 8 different vehicles. Time to find another place to go.
Ive been bringing my vehicles (2-3) here off & on (mostly on) since I moved down the street six years ago. Ive never had a bad experience at this place, dont know any names or titles but all seem to be nice and do their job.About a year ago I was told by Clear Lake Dodge that I needed a new transmission in my Sprinter van and that it was going to cost about $15,000!!! (Mercedes) I took it to a local transmission shop for a second opinion they quoted about $8,000 for a rebuilt transmission.... both shops came to the same conclusion, the transmission was clogged up with some sort of sludge and metal particles.... neither place would flush my transmission because they said it could make it worse and that they would be responsible.I called a couple other places and got basically the same story. Then I called Kwik Kar Lube and they flushed my transmissionTwice..its been working fine ever since.......About 2 years ago I had a two year old Chevy Silverado that started making a knocking sound in the engine. Ron Carter in Alvin told me that it needed a valve job ($2800) which would be covered under warranty if I could produce two years of oil change receipts. Kwik Kar Lube pushed a button on their computer and printed out most of them. Walmart printed the missing ones..... It was Walmart who changed my oil just before the knocking started.Although convenient Dont get your oil changed at Walmart..
Horrible customer service....I am a contractor that has been severing Galveston county for more then 10 years....and these ppl here are some real dirt bags.......I have never been treated worse. I go in to pass out my card they have no fire lanes , handicaps , and cant even see the parking lot lines.....so I go in and the way I was treated was so bad...I contacted Bbb and kwik kar

2022-06-04I usually visit take 5 for my oil changes but todays wait left me unimpressed. I waited for approximately 40 minutes for the oil change to even begin. Tire pressure wasnt checked and windshield wasnt cleaned although stated on receipt. I understand rising costs but they too are comparable to dealership prices. In the future Ill consider going to the dealership as take 5 may have lost those things which make them appealing to me. However, overall the gentleman were friendly and may have been understaffed.

2022-03-28Excellent customer service there are some nice guys working at this location. I met my daughter there to get her an oil change and get her car inspected. Bradley was our tech, he was super nice and knowledgeable. The other staff member was Korey and he was very attentive to my daughter and I making sure if wanted water. Definitely would recommend this Take 5 location.

2022-02-19Fast service like the name implies, and the staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Didnt have a engine air filter I needed but had it fast shot from a nearby auto store. Great service. Highly recommended and will be returning in the future

2022-08-09Came in for oil change and manager obviously was on something. He was very disrespectful. I wanted an oil change and inspection. After a brief conversation, I realized I needed to leave. I took my business down the street to Valvoline. I was met with plenty of professionally minded technicians. I will never visit this 5 minute location again. I had been doing business at that location for 20 years. It has changed names over the years but I continued to go there for convenience. Never again.

2022-08-21Fast and easy. Never even have to leave your car. They get you in and out in 10 minutes, inform you of everything thats going on with your car, and give you great customer service. Great prices and even better service, my preferred garage.

2022-07-27I didn’t have the time to take my car to the dealership. I decided to try this place. They are awesome!I pulled up and the guys started right away. I brought my dogs and Joseph was really nice! He gave the girls treats! Owens was really nice and they didn’t try to sell me a bunch of things I don’t need. They did inform me of the windshield wiper discount; I used it. Other than that it was a great experience.I’ll be back in a few thousand miles.

2022-04-10Guys were effiecent and quick. I went in to get an inspection for my truck and they got me in and out in maybe 15-20 minutes on a Sunday. I didnt even have to wait long. Thats good service.

2022-08-12Im went in for an inspection on my vehicle which ended up failing the inspection due to a code that wouldnt clear after changing my spark plugs. Not an issue as it wasnt their fault. The issue that I had is that the guy that ran the inspection seemed completely clueless and was literally just a button pusher for the computer that runs the inspections. The young man seemed completely clueless. I have to admit they are relatively fast but at this point not fast enough to keep going back there if I have no other option due to my available time.

Jesus helped me and if you go ask for him!! He’s a sweet gentleman that is very knowledgeable with cars and he’s even better being accommodating. Thank you guys!!
