To stay competitive, Target has been forced to install robots and you dont hear Can I help you find something nearly as often as you used to, but generally still my favorite store. Special shout out to Simone the pharmacist, Amanda in grocery, and Dre & Mark at customer service. Theyre all amazing.
***STAFF IS RUDE it’s always the cashiers and returns onescashier forgot to bag 2 of my items , I came back the next day and explained to the girls at returns what had happened one of them said “ alright , can you get the items and bring it back here “ how rude .. it was not my fault the cashier didn’t bag my items and they looked at me like I was lying about it. I was so ready for them to pull up the cameras and show me how the girl DID NOT bag it. never even apologized for what happened didn’t even say thank you. Recommend doing self check out
I just tried to use my Target e gift card at Amarillo Targetb. The Target cashier said that she can’t accept it .So , I used my debit card .So Frustrating , and embarrassing .I did not argue with her . I just want to know why your store doesn’t accept Target e gift cards.Kg Amarillo , Texas
One complaint I have about this location is when they run out of something they may be out of it for weeks. Then when they do get more in, they only get a few so they run out again fast!I think its great that they conserve energy by the lights going out in the coolers and grocery section until someone approaches. Its kind of hit and miss as far as being clean and organized. Sometimes its nice and neat, sometimes a mess.There is a Starbucks, a cafe, and a pharmacy inside and Westgate Mall, Best Buy, and Toys R Us are within walking distance.
I have a licensed service dog. I went into the store in Amarillo, TX and was very rudely told I could not have my dog in the store. I have do not have trouble anywhere else. He always sits in the cart seat. The person I spoke to at the store was Lily. Also talked to a manager named Robert and he also gave me grief. At this point I will not be shopping at your store again.
The target store is close to my home ( i live outside city limits) and i intended to purchase just a loaf of bread. However there were a few other things i needed but knew i would have to drive across busy street to the home depot to purchase those items. but im all about a 1 stop shop so i thought i could see if target by chance had the other items i was looking for. in doing so, i encountered at least 5 different employees while journeying thru the store. Every single employee was soooo courteous, helpful and 2 out of the 5 actually walked with me to the isle i was needing to get to even though they were busy putting up merchandise on the shelfs. One actually let it be known that the hardware isle was very limited and once we got to that isle he stated again, we are very limited on the hardware but he did not just walk off and leave me hanging which was very thoughtful of him. making my way to customer service counter, i asked to speak to a manager on duty. I wanted it be known that the group of employees on duty this busy saturday morning was so helpful, courteous and went beyond the duty to assist me as a customer. i felt so comfortable shopping this morning but ended up buying $20.00 worth of merchandise (including the loaf of bread). i still ended up going to home depot and in reality only purchased 1 item from that store. thank you Target of Amarillo and the management and staff for making my saturday commute feel special.
I want to brag on the wonderful help of two employees in the electronics department of the Amarillo Target store - - Cody and Bryan. I needed a new phone, and they went above an beyond to help me! Cody helped me with the purchase and with initial set-up of my phone, and the next day, Bryan helped me work through the written list of questions and challenges I had in learning how to properly use the phone. THANKS, GUY!!! I am a very satisfied customer!
Had managed to see that they had limited stock on PlayStation 5’s around 6:30 am and I was at the store ten minutes prior to the store opening waiting in line & I happened to check online 5 mins before the store opens and it suddenly said the item was out of stock and sure enough I got to the electronic area at 8:01 just to be told that they don’t have any PlayStation 5’s.. which means that they illegally sold the items to the employees before the store opened which should be prohibited & definitely not fair at all to customers like myself that waited in line ten to 30 minutes before opening to get the product..
Got a Nikon camera for Christmas and it was not working correctly so I tried to get something equal as priced but another camera, they told me that since I didn’t have the gift receipt I couldn’t do anything about it, I told them I didn’t want the person know I was trying to trade it in cause I didn’t want them to feel bad, they still said they couldn’t do anything without a receipt, I kept asking why, and please give me a valid reason and the lady just kept saying no. I asked for the manager and he was very very rude. I will never go back to this target. Horrible experience.
Went in today to pick up two items I had on hold that my kids were looking forward to getting only to find out that they don’t bother asking for an ID or even your name to pick up and purchase said hold. Someone else came in hours before, was told there was a hold under my name and was asked if he was me, which he said yes to, and then was able to purchase the items with no further proof of ID or even having to provide the name himself. All staff had to say was sorry. Really annoyed and disappointed as these items are hard to come by at the moment and Target seems to not care to keep customer names private and check IDs for held items.
I ordered a rug online, they didn’t use fed ex or ups. Some jerk in a Penske truck drove all over my grass and then was a total jerk when I said something about it. I don’t recommend ordering online if this is who they use for their shipping needs. Completely unprofessional.
Young lady waited on us was amazing, pleasant, and enjoying her job, saw us parked in the expedition, In the lanes to drive up for the order....and came up to us, while I was struggling with the app to change order to drive up ...and endless time on the phone, never did get an answer on the phone!!!! You should give her a raise, and have folks on stand by to do just what she did for us 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀come straight out to the vehicles when they park.. she had just delivered to another vehicle beside us !!! Thank you for this service!!!!! I owe her a tip!!!
Ive been shopping at our local Target for years and Ive always had a great experience. The store is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful each time I visit. Its also comforting to know that Im purchasing quality products that dont feel cheap or break after a while. The product curators at Target do their job well.
I have never had a bad experience at Targets anywhere, but the people here are above and beyond. From the lady in the mobile dept. who made sure I got the phone I was going to be happy with, to the young man at the customer service counter who stayed calm and friendly while he was being berated for not returning an item from 2008 (seriously, holidays 2008! that they received for free?!) They are spectacular. Easily spend hundreds here a month and they will continue getting my business.
I need to come here because there is a specific product that only Target carries in the grocery section. All groceries require a mask for the safety of employees and customers. This is the only place of business in the Amarillo and Canyon area that I noticed management will not enforce the governors mandate of wearing a mask. There is a guy at the entrance that is supposed to hand out masks and hand sanitizer and he didnt have either [hand sanitizer was already empty at 9am], he just lets everyone inside. Another customer at Target yelled at me saying that it is not the law and that she has anxiety and was pregnant, therefore she doesnt have to wear a mask. Granted, I know she is making an excuse because of similar personal reasons and I dont have issues wearing my mask. PLUS, her son wasnt wearing a mask either. Those customers are proving that they dont care about other people, only care for themselves, and they can get away with whatever they want to do. I also noticed at least 5 other customers that didnt have their masks on or they took off their masks while being inside the store. I spoke to the manager and he stated he cannot make people wear their masks due to personal medical reasons, which is BS because the people I saw looked perfectly healthy and they werent carrying O2 tanks or any of the sort. The governor mandated wearing masks for everyone to slow the spread and they are NOT enforcing this mandate here, which is punishable with a $250 fine. We cannot slow the spread if someone carrying the virus isnt wearing the mask. By wearing the mask, you are taking personal measures to take care of others and not necessarily yourself. Were all in this together! DO NOT feel safe at this place of business and I have taken all the measures above management and outside corporate that needed to be taken so that the right people may resolve this situation. I dont appreciate management not putting his foot down in this matter and management needs to be retrained or replaced. I wanted to put this review on here to make sure that people understood that this isnt a safe environment for high risk customers to come shopping and I do recommend shopping somewhere else, like all the other grocery stores that do respect the mandate and peoples safety. Something needs to be done to correct this matter especially since this is the ONLY place of business that doesnt protect the health of the public because they dont want to hurt feelings by turning selfish people away for not wearing their masks. Wearing the mask protects everyone, not the person wearing it. If people dont want to wear masks, there are other options to avoid going into the store like shopping online or in store pickup to expedite your trip. I am tired of seeing people risking my life and health for their own selfish reasons. Get it together Target management!
Ive been avoiding physically going inside stores as much as possible, but today I had to go into Target for something unavailable by other means. I was shocked by the lack of safety measures and disregard for the law at this store. It was very crowded, and over half the customers I saw were either not wearing facial coverings, or were wearing them in an obviously incorrect manner (e.g., below their nose) Many of the employees were likewise maskless. Most people, including the employees, were making no attempt whatsoever to maintain a reasonable distance from others (i.e., a minimum of 6 feet.) I did not at any point see any employee attempt to challenge the illegal behavior of other employees or customers. I felt personally unsafe shopping here, as it seemed the store had no concern for the safety of their employees or customers and had no respect for the law. If I had felt reasonably safe shopping here, I would likely have spent considerably more money. As it is, I grabbed the thing I needed and got out as quickly as I could, and intend never to shop here again unless absolutely necessary.
The staff is always great! They go above and beyond to help me if there is ever a need. The store usually has what I need, but I can check the app to be sure before I visit the store. I love browsing with some coffee in hand even when Im not aiming to purchase anything specific. I never leave the store empty handed.
All of them are very nice and friendly. Marlene today gave my son a sticker. Im very greatful for all the employees you guys rock. Without all of you everything is not going to be possible. Its a pleasure to come here and thank you very much. Everything you need food, dress, household stuff, school supplies, furniture and decors. Please stop by at your target stores near your area all of them are awesome. God speed to everybody
Beware of using their self checkout. I was charged 3 times for one transaction. No help from associates. Only thing they did was cancel transaction and ring it up again. Paid again. Was told the transaction would bounce back off my account. It cleared so apparently they got extra money from 1 transaction. Watch your receipts.The store is clean, except the bathrooms are always filthy.
Went to Target for ear buds. They advertise skull candy ones for $29.99. The man that helped me choose the pair said they were on sale for $29.99. I get up front and wait for someone to bring them to checkout. Turns out they are not on sale even though there is a sign in front of them. That is called false advertisement. A wasted trip.
Employees greeted customers. When I asked for specific items, the employees(3 different items. 3 different employees) walked me over to the specific aisle, one helped another customer, then came back to ask and make sure I found what I needed. I had a great experience
Dont believe the hype most of the 5star reviews are current employees. This store is one of the most corrupt stores I have been in you are supposed to be greeted by every employee as soon as you come on site. Thats why u pay more.No reason to come if you pay more for the same treatment everywhere everywhere else
This was the first time I picked up in store. I was looking for specific games that would have taken a lot of work to figure out where each of them were in the store. I ordered them in minutes and walked in and checked out in under five minutes. It was a great experience and saved my valuable time.
I love Target because there it is not a digusting dumpster of civilization like SOME places. Employees at the Amarillo location are friendly and helpful. Call me old fashioned but I hate the new self check out lanes. I will continue to get service by real humans who are being paid to do so. I think the self checkout cheapens the brand and wish they had not gone through with it.
The reason I am giving a 5 stat rating is because of a lady named Morgan who works here. We had asked her about roller blades for a young boy and she brought us right to the aisle and helped my cousin try them on. She stayed with us and helped us find what we needed. I believe she should be promoted because of her amazing people skills. If anyone needs help in the store I would definitely ask Morgan.
Encountered the rudest retail “Trainer” ever! I had a rebate check that was torn in the cashiers machine. The cashier then pulled out tape to fix it and tried it in the machine again but it didnt work. She called the “Trainer” over without asking any questions or getting any back story on how the check was messed up she said no we can’t do anything with that. Even though it was Target who messed the check up she did not care. I even said but your machine tore the check. She did not respond and went about her business with other customers. She made my family and I feel very unwelcomed and that we were in the wrong for trying to use a retailer check that was not in perfect condition. I asked how can a “Trainer” be SO rude especially when the stores own machinery created the issue. The cashier looked at gave me a deer in the head lights look and did not respond. Gave me the feeling that this must be the nature of this particular “Trainer”. Maybe a refresher class on how to resolve issues in customer service would do her well.
Store overall is great. The one spot is right near entrance and can occasionally become congested. There is a Starbucks Coffee Shop and a completely separate snack bar with seating. The bathrooms are usually atrocious. The dressing rooms are usually disheveled and poorly attended. The grocery section is cared for very well. Large seasonal selection area.
My sister is in Amarillo and I ordered her Christmas presents from the Amarillo Target. I didnt want her to see her presents since she was picking it up, so I ordered a gift box. I called the Customer Service department and asked if they could put the items in the box so she wouldnt see what they were. Darla said they could do it for me. I couldnt be more grateful for the above and beyond customer service Darla had given today.
Target is on the other side of town from me but 100%worth it to not have to go to Walmart where no-one speaks English.Ive looked everywhere online and in every store in Amarillo that sells shoes and ended up finding a pair of super simple black ballerina flats the exact style and size that I needed. Not to mention that they had options of: colors, paterns AND wide..and to top it all off the flats were under $20. Thats unheard of!!!... Thanks Target !!!
Just had a horrible experience in Amarillo target! Drove 3 hrs. to do school shopping there, loaded the cart with over $200 worth of supplies and clothes. Wrote a check for our purchases and they wouldnt accept it because it had been too long since the last time we wrote a check in Target! It will be much longer now before we darken their isles again!
I just want my medicine one month at a timenot three it is not in my budget. I kind of know what it will cost. When it comes up almost double what I normally get it is and was upsetting to me. I have clinical depression and anxiety. The pharmacist had made up my precriptions for three months. She canged them. But when I got home I realized she only changed three of the four. I am still upset over it. Why must medicine be so much? It is not fair. I think I am going to have to look at other pharmacies.
I was waiting in line at the pharmacy, I asked the tall guy behind the pharmacy counter if they had charcoal capsules, he made a face and said, We had some, I think, on the next aisle at the lower left, abruptly I might add, and immediately said to the woman next to me with this sickening sweet voice Thank you so much Mrs. So and So for your business, and dismissed me. If youre going to be a phoney, and you need to practice.

2022-06-30I order online a PS5 Console bundle, place the order to pick up. They took my money and got my son all happy about the great news.Minutes later, they cancel my order because they are out of stock. My son very disappointed and me trying to fixed, calling to the terrible customer service and company, who only have an easy getaway. We had three and they cancel the rest.How many other have to go through the same bad experience and disappointment. I will never ever will buy anything else in target.

2022-06-13Its always fun finding an excuse to visit Target with the family. This store is always clean, the employees are friendly, and theres always something to discover in Bullseyes Playground ( dollar section). Picking up last-minute things via Drive Up has come in handy many times. Im also thankful this Target has both a Starbucks AND a Target Café. Sometimes its humid and uncomfortable in the store during the spring, summer, and early fall which is my only complaint.

2022-04-07This is a true ghetto target and an embarrassment to Amarillo. Always long lines, nowhere to stand in line, poor grocery selection, and never enough lanes open. Amarillo needs a Super Target and then maybe this target wouldnt be so chaotic. For those of you that left good reviews, go to a real Target in Dallas and youll see what Target is supposed to be like.

2019-10-21This a very nice Target, in a great location. It is a clean store with a good variety of products. Of Fall decor and Halloween costumes, along with decorations. My daughter and our friend had a blast checking out the costumes. You dont have to spend a fortune to find something that will make you the hit of any party! I love their displays, very creative. Plus theres lots of great Christmas ideas on display.

2022-02-27Do not order online from this store! Your items will end up being cancelled. Their online order system shows the items are available, but its a deceitful practice. You will end up getting an email that the items are no longer available. It happens a lot. Its a waist of time and money because you have to wait days for your money to be refunded. Shop somewhere else because its not worth it.

2021-12-12Watch your prices. We were traveling and stopped in. Nothing 9n our reciept was the price marked in the store. A small trash can was $1 more, trash bags to fit it were $.20 more, baby wipes were $.10 less. You can not get a single price correct!
