My son has been training at Team Tooke going on 3 years now and weve had an absolutely amazing experience here! All of the coaches are awesome, highly skilled and welcome everyone in like family! My son has developed a high level of respect, self-discipline and responsibility from Team Tooke which has carried over to life at home and at his school. We are so thankful that we found this gym so early on!
Ive trained at bjj/mma gyms all over the US. I can say without hesitation that Team Tooke is the absolute best gym Ive ever trained at.The gym checks all the most important boxes:1. High level instructors2. Top notch facility with clean mats (thats not always true at other gyms #staph)3. Family friendly environment that helps foster child development (book club, reading assignments etc.)4. Incredibly motivated training partners. Most gyms are egocentric, which makes it hard for new people to learn. Team Tooke has an excellent method of developing young talent and new members so they can learn without being someones training dummy (happens a lot at the bro gyms)5. Numerous special events and seminars by high-level grapplers. Its a testament to the gym that the best names in the game plan your gym into their rotation.These are just a few of the reasons that Team Tooke is the most well rounded academy in Houston. But for me, its the fostering of each of its members individual goals and aspirations that stand out. Ive never been surrounded by so many like minded and goal oriented individuals in my entire life...and I was an Army Ranger Instructor and muti-tour combat veteran.Its a beautiful place. You should come.
Team Tooke is fantastic martial arts academy. Not only are the facilities great but you get world class instruction by people who not only talk the talk but walk the walk. No paper tigers here. What I really think sets Team Tooke above the competition is that these great fighters, athletes and competitors actually care about YOUR learning experience. I have been training here for about 3 years and in that time my fitness level, self confidence and martial arts skill have all improved greatly. Another thing I think is great is the fact that everyone tries to help each other improve. When they say team they really mean it and you feel it. In short, I love training at Team Tooke and will continue to do so for years to come.
Although I am not a regular student at team Tooke, I was fortunate enough to visit their world class facility while traveling. Their instructors, staff and students were very friendly and made me feel at home. Team Tooke MMA is a safe, clean and friendly environment to learn in a structured program for any level. Master instructor, Travis Tooke and his coaches are all elite, ego-less grapplers with a strong desire to share their knowledge. I highly recommend Team Tooke to anyone who is looking for an academy with passion for their students!
Team Tooke has met and exceeded all my expectations. Not only is it a great place to excel in Jujitsu and mix-martial arts, but a way to increase confidence, gain long-term friends, and building a legacy for yourself when competing in national tournaments. We are lucky to have Professor. Travis teaching and showing us the way. Not only is he an expert in grappling but also competed in national tournaments and at least placed top 3, mostly 1st places in his field as a 3rd Degree Black Belt. He is very passionate and skillful in Jujitsu, and the most respected 3rd degree black-belt in the community.

I walked into Team Tooke in 2008 and begin training JIu Jitsu under Travis Tooke. The whole experience was great. The other students, coaches and just the place itself was excellent. Clean environment and great people is what you will find at Team Tooke. I highly recommend Team Tooke if you are looking to get involved in Martial Arts! Team Tooke has been great to me on and off the mats! I will train at Team Tooke until im old and gray and my body will no longer allow me to train! At that point ill still be there watching my kids train!
Weve been members of Team Tooke for over 2 years. My son is 7 years old and has a blast at Team Tooke. His first coach, Cameron, is amazing with the children, and all around a very sweet and wonderful person. Coach JP is also one of my sons favorites, you really get the sense that they care about each each one of their students. They have fun and teach discipline at the same time. Whenever my son has had problems at school or at home one of the coaching staff is always there to step in and take him aside and talk to him. Professor Travis Tooke and his team are amazing!
Team Tooke has made a HUGE impact in our sons life as far as leadership, discipline, and character, and we are so glad we decided to enroll him in their kids martial arts program. All the professors are true professionals and they put the kids first, they truly care about their students and their growth as individuals not only on the mat, but especially in life. Back in 2009 A friend of mine asked me to go check out a BJJ gym with him. After the first class I was convinced that I needed to sign up. Travis Tooke, is by far the Best instructor that you will find in Texas. His attention to detail is like no other. I will never go to another gym. Team Tooke is and will always be my home. All ego is left at the door. Everyone is always willing to help you meet and exceed your goals. Team Tooke is not just a gym its a place where you build family. I highly recommend this place for kids all the way up to adults. It really has changed my life.
Team Tooke has been a great experience. All of the coaches and staff members are amazing. I recently moved an hour away but I still drive back to Team Tooke to train with one of the coaches every other weekend. I cant wait to come back and train with in the next year. Training at Team Tooke has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The academy is always professional and kept impeccably clean and shows the integrity of the Tooke family. The thought of training was quite daunting for me at first, but the instructors are amazing at easing anyone into the art of jiu-jitsu. Whether you are a natural born athlete or someone that has never quite been in shape, anybody can do jiu-jitsu. Do you get a great workout? There are a ton of jiu-jitsu schools in Houston. It has been a year since I joined Team Tooke and will honestly say that the staff and instructors are exceptional. Coach Travis (the owner) is very involved with assuring that all our expectations and goals are met. The rest of the staff is very customer service oriented, you can really tell that they love what they do and are not just out to get your money.The training is top tier, I have gained a tremendous amount of confidence, strength, and skill.
I started going to Team Tooke Mixed Martial Arts about 4 years ago. It has given me a home away from home. It is a true family environment and the relationships I have made have definitely changed me for life. The most structured MMA gym in Houston, Texas! I started at Team Tooke in January of 2018 and it has changed my way of life since I began training. I have more confidence and respect for others. I have found myself in situations recently that have placed me in a position to use what I have learned at Team Tooke. Not the physical aspect of my training, but more self control and the patience aspect of it. I recommend anyone who wants to learn martial arts to give Team Tooke a try. Its great for children and character building; though the adult classes offer a very practical approach to training MMA. The coaches are all knowledgeable of the craft and will help improve your skills no matter if you are learning for self defense, for competition, or just a great workout to get your summer body in shape or stay in shape if you already exercise on a regular basis. The price is very fair if you consider this element: skilled labor is not cheap, and cheap labor is not skilled. The coaches are detail oriented and very patient. A great first gym experience to anyone wanting to take a chance with training Martial Arts.
Before I started training at Team Tooke, I had zero experience with any form of martial arts. Team Tooke has definitely surpassed my expectations and even after training for such a brief amount of time in their Muay Thai program, I have not only gained a great level of confidence but I am also in the best shape Ive been in for years. The Muay Thai coaching staff is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to their jobs. They make the classes exciting and each day I finish training, I cannot wait to get back into the gym.
Great Place The instructors are professional and attentive. I have trained for may years in various martial arts, Now at 57 years old, O was looking for someplace that I could learn a new style, that I could work at my own pace. Team Tooke is an amazing place to learn Brazilian Jiujitsu. Whether you are brand new or have previous experience, this is the place for you. I moved here from Oklahoma where my two kids and I both trained. When I asked my previous BJJ instructor where I should train in the Houston area, he immediately said Team Tooke. Come try it out. The instructors and students will make you feel right at home.
The instructors at Team Tooke are absolutely amazing!!! Their program for kids is one of the best Ive ever seen. My son has excelled in everything on and off the mat faster than I anticipated. Hes more vocal with adults speaking in respectful tones and more eye to eye contact. I raise my son to be a little adult and being a single parent, its a little difficult for my son to retain without the backup of a second parent. With attending Team Tooke classes, its become second nature with my son. All that is off the mat. What hes learned on the mat helps with exercise, patience, self defense and temper. My son has had temper issues since he was born. The older he gets, the better he handles it, but with the instructors at Team Tooke its gotten much better much faster!! Hes more confident with what hes learned on the mat and is only getting better every day. The instructors are very patient and give each student the instruction that is best for them individually. I feel amazingly blessed for having found Team Tooke and recommend them to everyone.

If you are a parent and would like to improve virtually every aspect of your childs life, I highly recommend enrolling them in Martial Arts at Team Tooke. I enrolled my son in Jiu Jitsu there two years ago and I can say without reservation it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. He came to Team Tooke a reserved, shy boy of 7 years old and after two years he is confident, focused and absolutely in love with Jiu Jitsu! The coaches at Team Tooke are incredible and besides being GREAT coaches they are also very good people and excellent role models for all the kids!
When our journey at Team Tooke began, our son was 12 and lacked drive and self confidence. Now, at almost 14, our son is self assured and has made noticeable changes in school and in his social life for the better. The coaches at Team Tooke CANNOT be beat. They mentor each student, no matter their belt rank, both technically and in life. The classes are equal parts character and technicality. I would (and do) tell everyone about the huge change that Team Tooke has inspired in my son. He is healthier, more focused, and his confidence is undeniable.
I have been training at Team Tooke for almost 7 years. It is a place I look forward to coming to every week because I enjoy my teammates, coaches and the overall experience. BJJ keeps me in great shape as well as relaxed, humble and grateful. My son is training in the Little Champions class(4-6yr olds), and loves going every week as well. My introduction to Team Tooke was a little different than most. I am from another martial arts school and was asked to participate in the Team Tooke Instructor Certification Program. Going in on the first day was great, but its still a little weird because I was, for lack of better terms, an outsider. That didnt last long. I am proud to say that I have drastically increased the number of people in my martial arts family. Team Tooke is more than a team, it is family. Everyone working together to reach goals and milestones. I look forward to training together again soon
Im from Jacksonville, FL and travel to Houston every once in a while. I stopped in to train for a few days last month and was completely impressed by the atmosphere at Team Tooke; everyone was friendly and coach Travis students are very technical. Just an awesome place to train. Coach Travis always seems to save the last roll of the night for me--wow, is that dude a beast on the mats--its an honor to be able to roll with such a high level black belt. Great trainers, great facility, great classes. The way the classes are structured really gives us white belts a chance to learn fundamentals without being overwhelmed by advanced methods being learned by higher ranks. The coaches are very patient and encouraging.Im also beyond impressed with how the coaches work with the 7-13 year old children. It goes beyond learning BJJ - they teach the kids life lessons: respect, discipline, honor, integrity, etc. I can already see a big difference in my nephews attitude and it has only been two weeks.My wife, my two nephews and I all train at Team Tooke. I highly recommend Coach Travis and his team!

The best school in Houston. The only reason I left is because I had to leave the city for work and even then I started training at one of the sister schools. Travis Tooke is the most down to earth and friendly instructor you can find and his leadership and culture spreads to all the other instructors. Further to that, from day 1 I felt like I was incorporated into the family. There are no egos here because Professor Tooke does not allow it. If you are even considering training, I strongly recommend you at least do the 30 day trial.

With no prior martial arts experience, I started at Team Tooke at the age of 39. Now around 2 years later, the experience has been completely rewarding where I now have an avenue to challenge myself and grow physically and mentally. The coaches and the team create a very welcoming environment where everyone is there to not only improve themselves, but help everyone else improve as well. I drove by Team Tooke everyday for 6 years thinking I am going to do that one day. All the excuses (time investment, age, no experience, etc) werent valid. My only regret is it took 6 years for me to walk in the door.
I have been doing martial arts and Jiu Jitsu for 7 years now and have been to various academies across the city, this one is the one I decided to call home. It is the perfect mix of people who just want to learn martial arts and others who like the sport aspect of it. Everyday is an opportunity to learn from some exceptional and technical black belts. I would recommend Team Tooke Mixed Martial Arts to everyone, but especially if you have a child who has ADHD, Bipolar, Depression, or even behavioral problems. Team Tooke, with ALL of the wonderful staff and coaches has changed my childs life for the better. I no longer have to fight with him to be respectful, or to do the things that I ask him to do, now he does it all on his own without me asking. He actually looks forward to going to his classes. Team Tooke Women Only Bootcamp is the best workout ever!!! Ive been member since the first class about 1.5 years ago and still love it! When I first started my fitness level was pretty much 0.. And now Im fitter then ever! This class also helped me loose weight!! Ive lost more the 75lbs and I feel amazing! The classes are always diffrent so it never gets boring and the trainers and students are super nice and for me it feels like family!!To join Team Tooke was the best decision Ive made..
Great set of coaches but on top of that, they are a great set of people as well. One of the CLEANEST Facilities I have been to plus a quality martial arts program with an impressive roster of competitors. Coach Travis is arguably the best BJJ coach in the state of Texas, he also practices what he preaches as an active competitor himself. The membership staff are also active in martial arts and truly believe in their product, they will work with you and be straight up. First class school in my book.
Trained there in 2008 all the way to now whenever I come back from college in the holidays. Coach Travis is great and always helpful and Andrew is a class act and great coach. Travis is a phenomenal teacher and if you want to get better at BJJ he is the coach to go to. Also the Judo program is amazing. People from all over the world train Judo there at Diamondback and the level of talent and experience with those judokas is incredible and they sincerely care about the new people there and will help you every step of the way. Overall great place and great people and great training.
Team Tooke is the best martial arts facility in the Houston, The instructors there are top level and are some of the most friendly people i have met in my entire life. If you are looking to get in shape and have an awesome time doing it Team Tooke is the place to go. I love it there
Team Tooke has been a great school for me since the day I walked in. Don’t get me wrong I disliked the basic class and wearing the ju-jitsu uniforms because it just not me. Over time I have learned it was the best thing for me so that I could understand the fundamentals of the sport and the proper way of learning the positions and understanding what I was doing. Coaches and students are like family and do their very best to help all new students out. The school to me as I have been going for a few years is a very clean environment with coaches that want you to grow in whatever your outcome is at their school. They do not push you into things that you don’t want and even if you think you are ready for certain things they will tell you the truth and if you not, tell you what you need to improve which will be based on you. Team Tooke dominates for many reason which is making sure there students are ready for anything in life. Team Tooke has all the skill level people that you need to learn from someone and the proper way you should so that you don’t have any bad habits. I can speak about many schools that I have viewed and evaluated before coming to Team Tooke but everyone out there I’m sure do their very best so I won’t comment. If you come to Team Tooke you get a 30 day free basic class which helps you get comfortable to the school which is a huge bonus because it’s for sure different from any gym. I get more results at Team Tooke then any Cross fit gym and regular gyms as in making my core stronger and leaning out. The school is great and cannot find anything bad to say but to put in the effort that you want to get back from it and you will be happy with Team Tooke.
Trained at Team Tooke several years ago. The training experience was top notch, and all of the instructors were very personable and knowledgeable with very good teaching skills. Outside factors caused me to stop training, but I was very pleased to see an affiliate school open up in Kingwood. I have been training at Kingwood MMA and found that the professionalism extends to Team Tooke affiliates as well. There is a great culture of teaching and learning at all Team Tooke facilities.
My experience at Team Tooke has literally been life changing. Ive been able to train with some of the most disciplined and motivated individuals Ive met in my life. Ive always wanted to become a martail artist and I finally feel I am becoming one thanks to Team Tooke. I learn intriquete details that explain the why behind the how. The best part about it is the mental and physical discipline instilled in me through culture that has been cultivated here. Props to your instructor, he taught you well.I recently moved out of state and am trying out new gyms to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at, and the quotes above explain what they think of my instruction at Team Tooke. The instruction and training at Team Tooke blows every other gym I have tried out of the water. With less than six months training at Team Tooke and no prior experience I can keep up with blue and purple belts at other schools, people who have been training for years. Everything Professor Travis has done with his school, from the way he explains each technique to the positive and learning conducive environment made me a life long student of Jiu-Jitsu. While I was there I also did Boxing and Muay Thai and loved them both, each of them have great coaches who are truly there to help have very impressive resumes. I cant say enough good stuff about this gym, every class is a great workout and makes you want to come back for more. They created a home away from home for me, this gym is hands down what I miss most about Texas.

Travis is continually working to improve. He competes, which continually improves his technique, which improves his teaching. And his focus is not just on BJJ. He is always working to improve his student’s lives, inside and outside the gym. Just look at the engagement in his kids program. I’ve never seen anything like it. It is well beyond what any parent could expect from a martial arts program for their kids.I’ve trained in different gyms in the US and Brazil, and Travis is one of the most technical instructors I’ve come across. I visited Traviss gym to teach a wrestling seminar & was extremely impressed with the attentiveness, eagerness to learn, & overall respect shown by the students. Everyone in the seminar was quick to ask questions & even quicker to help one another out if they were struggling with a technique. Any time Im in the Houston area looking for a workout, Team Tooke MMA is where I will be heading. I cant say enough good things about Travis, his staff, his students, and facilities. If youre training BJJ, wrestling, MMA, or just want to get a solid workout in, Team Tooke MMA is a first class option!
Team Took is amazing. They started coming out to my daughters school and teaching the kids. I have really seen a difference in her. She told me the other day that it was her fault that she didnt have what she needed. She should have taken her responsibility of getting her things ready. I was shocked. She is in 2nd grade. I love this place. I first started just to lose weight which I did. The coaches are very dynamic and creative with the workouts and drills. I am never bored. I go to train and learn so that I get better. I dont think their is a more suitable environment. We are all teammates that help each other reach our goals. With world class instructors to guide us. This attitude and willingness to help people succeed pervades the entire gym, as a result I feel my own Jiu-Jitsu game has improved dramatically since signing up.

I have trained all over the country. To be honest it is easy to find someone who knows a bunch of techniques, what I have the most appreciation for is the way Professor Travis can show techniques, break them down with patience and then help tweak them when necessary to fit a wide range of body types. That is his second best quality, his first is his ability to pour in to and develop quality human beings who have also become monsters on the mat. Throughout his affiliation I continue to meet respectful kids from the children’s program and humble adults willing to help the new guy.
Professor Travis and the entire Team Tooke family was very welcoming while I was in town for work. Hands down best instruction in the area and will recommend that everyone stops by for a visit. The level of instruction from Professor Travis was top notch and helped my game immensely. It’s safe to say I know where I will be training when I’m in town for work. Hope to return soon.

Everyone at Team Tooke MMA is a class act! Professor Travis Tooke encourages his students and holds a great example for all his coaches. All the coaches genuinely care about their students and their families. My boy only knew jiu jitsu from watching videos and playing UFC for the Xbox but now after 2.5 years, he is one of the top competitors in his weight class. The Muay Thai class is full every night and Coach Lucas is a great guy with a big heart, not to mention a beast on the mat. I moved to Houston, from Salem, Oregon, about a month ago. The first thing on my list before the move was to find a jiu jitsu academy close to my new home. The first one that popped up on Google, for my area, was Team Tooke MMA. I looked over the website, read the reviews, and was super excited that it was also an affiliation with the Ribeiro’s, the same as the school I was at in a Salem. Five days after I arrived in Houston, I stepped onto the mats of Team Tooke for the very first time. Not only were they friendly and welcoming, but the energy there already felt like home. It’s not easy to move to a new state where you only know a handful of people and to go where most people would consider stepping out of your comfort zone. So to be able to find a new jiu jitsu school where they make you feel like, not just a part of a team, but like family, says a lot about the people who are apart of Team Tooke. Whether you’re brand new to jiu jitsu or just trying out a new school, this is the place to be.
We are fairly new to Team Tooke, but so far have had a great experience! When we first met with Coach JP, he was very professional and respectful. He wanted to see why we were interested in signing our son up for BJJ and explained to us that it wasnt just about teaching BJJ techniques. They also stress the importance of teaching them respect, discipline, self-confidence, fun etc. He explained everything thoroughly and was patient in answering all of our questions. He did a one-on-one that day with our son to introduce him to some basic concepts and even showed him a fun take-down technique which peaked his interest, because what kid doesnt like to throw down! :) Coach Cameron, who is the Little Champs coach, is so great with the kids! Although, it is a fairly large class, he does great in keeping them engaged and focused (as focused as 4-6 year olds can be!). He speaks loudly, clearly and gives step-by-step instructions thats appropriate to their level. Hes very intentional to greet both the parents and students as they come in with a handshake and he cares to remember the students names! A huge plus, especially when one of the things they are trying to teach is self-confidence. Overall, the classes have been instructional and fun to watch. My only suggestion would be to maybe have more assistant coaches since the class is pretty large. Sometimes, some of the students (mine included lol) tend to get silly and theres not enough coaches to get them back on track. Other than that, everything has been a positive experience and the coaches/staff show that they care about their students. I would recommend you come check them out!
Team Tooke is the real deal. You will learn so much here. I was immediately impressed by the professionalism and hospitality of the coaches and students. I felt welcome from my very first lesson.I highly recommend this facility to anyone wanting to learn BJJ or Muay Thai!
Just got done with Professor Tooke’s instructor certification course at Team Rabadi. What an awesome experience!!! The level of coordination, professionalism, and topics that were covered were great. Prof Tooke is the epitome of a professional and the insight that he shares with us is outstanding! I learned so much today and the manner in which it was presented helps me translate it not just to jiu-jitsu, but to everyday life as well. I walked into this place in early April with the intent to put my son in classes and walked out with the whole family signed up. Travis took the time to speak to each of us and even a mini private session to try some basic training. Travis and JP are both friendly and very welcoming. I felt extremely comfortable there from day one. The family values and respect they teach the kids is certainly a positive thing as a result of also learning discipline and self defense. Not to mention the confidence it builds for a future awesome adult. I can’t say enough about this family I’m proud to be part of. Check them out!
I walked into the Tooke academy on a whim, and knew nothing of BJJ, or MMA. I had wrestled in High School, but that was 9 years ago and I fat and out of shape. After the first BJJ practice I was hooked, I nearly threw up and felt that familiar euphoric exhaustion.I pride myself on being able to size people up accurately, and Travis Tooke and his team are of the highest caliber. Their expertise can be communicated to beginner all the way to the advanced. This is the only place to go for you MMA needs.

I started training at Team Tooke in Feb 2009. I have tried out the kickboxing, judo, wrestling, and jiu jitsu classes. I remember originally signing up for Judo, but I ended up gravitating to jiu jitsu after watching Travis teach a class. I train mostly jiu jitsu these days. Travis Jiu Jitsu is solid. I instantly knew after the first class that I wanted to train at Team Tooke. I wanted my jiu jitsu to emulate his style, his sense of control, balance, weight distribution, and technical knowledge. Every one of his classes is like attending a seminar you would pay 100 dollars for. If you are in the Houston area, drop in for a class. Everyone here is welcoming. There is no drama or egos here. One last thing I have to really emphasize: Travis is really good at breaking concepts down and teaching people. Travis is both a phenomenal practitioner and a teacher of principals of leverage, distance management, creating angles, and human body mechanics. If you are in Houston and are serious about your training you should check out Team Tooke. If you are new to training you should come anyways!

I started learning bjj at Team Tooke school. First off, Travis and the other instructors are great teachers world class, and they teach the basics in simple terms that you can learn and remember.Classes start off with 30 minutes of cardio, and its is one helluva workout. Aside from the normal stretches, pushups and squats, youll be doing 30 minutes of lunges, hip escapes, rock climbers, up-downs, fireman carries, bear crawls, crunches, back rolls, front rolls, and every once in a while, rope climbs. The workout can get intense, and its not uncommon to see someone take a breather, but once youve come consistently, youll be amazed at how much you can really do.After the cardio theres the technique part of class, where Travis or the instructor will show you a one or two moves, and youll practice with a partner. This is key so that you can learn the movements and positioning required to successfully initiate the technique.Lastly, you end the class with sparring, and depending on the time of day and the attendance, this can be a good workout, or it can be one of the most difficult and intense sessions youve experienced. The guys who roll here are all good, and youll learn a lot just rolling with them. Most are very professional and looking to perfefct their technique, but you will still face stiff competition every time you roll.Travis and the other instructors are great teacher, and successful competitor, and if you want to learn bjj and live outside your comfort zone, I can suggest no one else... 1 , 2 , 3 , Team Tooke !!!
I didnt know what expect when we enrolled our son and daughter into team tooke, but what we got was not only training for body, but mind and spirit. They arent just learning the skills on mat, but they are learning so much more that they will use in life. Amazing coaches, team spirit, and just pure love for our kids to succeed. Iron sharpens iron, and we are definitely training our kids with top notch people!

Both my son and I attend Team Tooke. I attend the women boot camp class and enjoy it so much. My son is in little champions and he has improved in school. The staff is great and help you out when need be. I am glad I enrolled both of us

This is by far the best MMA/JuJitsu school in Houston and Texas. You can go from beginner, no matter what shape or size, to competitor in a short amount of time with Coach Travis and the best BJJ coaches around. I started going for self defense in August 2012. The coaches are always really good about offering alternate ways to do the move in self defense situations. The coaches are very aware of how to teach their students to protect themselves making full use of the techniques with their body size and ability. Now I go and compete in the sport Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and have just started Muay Thai. Im always amazed by the knowledge and ability level of the coaches as well as their patience and joy of teaching. They dont just love the sport, they love their students and want the best for them.
I have known Travis for over 10 years. The first time I ever trained with him he taught me a two moves that I still use as an integral part of my grappling game. Travis is a phenomenal teacher. His technique is second to none and his professional, clean environment make it easy to understand how his school has grown to the degree it has.
The training here is great. Im learning so much in terms of muay thai and discipline. The instructors are all amazing and constantly help you improve your techniques. Other students there are very friendly. Each session pushes your body to the limit, conditions you to be stronger, and ultimately become good at MMA.
I enrolled my son (5y/o) and daughter (8y/o) for a year. The instructors and staff are very professional and approachable. Parents and adult students are very respectful of one another. Learning and teamwork is emphasized over competitiveness. Discipline is taught by instruction as oppose to punishment. My children enjoyed the experience.

I have been a student here for over 2 years now. I walked in really hesitant not knowing if this was something I wanted to be a part of, but I was welcomed with a smile and a genuine greeting so I gave it a shot. In 2 years I went from training twice a week, to everyday, to twice a day everyday, and now I am an employee here helping others sign up to also change their lives through martial arts. I started about 8 months ago and i have NO COMPLAINTS! I started there because my workout routine was getting boring and i needed to mix it up a bit.... My son Jesse Fernandez was a student there a while back, and he loved it! He told a friend at school about it and he joined as well, we moved and sadly had to quit, but his experience there was priceless.
Do not trust the guys at this place. its a mcdojo they just want you to sign a contract. there is no 30 day trial in fact if you sign anything they will take your information and charge you $206 a month for 6 months even if you never intended to take classes there. most of the other reviews are probably total bullshit written by the marketing guys that work there.
I love this program. My son has been a member of Team Tooke for 9 months and a member of the leadership program for 4. He has learned a lot and gained selfconfidence. I highly recommend this program
Website says 30 days free they take you into a private room and do a few minor things. Then they pull out a contract and try to pressure sell you into a 12 month contract and don’t even let you try the 30 days what a hoax. Do not recommend this place so many other places to go for a better price and better ppl STAY AWAY

2022-05-16The training at Team Tooke is second to none; I’ve trained a great many places in my life but I always cherish the time I get to spend at Team Tooke. The instruction is so high quality that when you learn techniques here the instructors don’t leave out the subtle details that improve your technique at a much faster rate while not taking too long in their lectures so as the students lose time getting repetitions drilling. The instructors are also very kind, personal while staying very professional with all the students and visitors. I would highly recommend training here as I believe you will find exceptional technical instruction and personable character in all the instructors here.

2022-05-14When I first signed up at Team Tooke I was depressed and frustrated with where I was in my life. All I wanted to do was train martial arts and fight, but I got so much more than that. Since joining two years ago Ive met so many people and made friendships that will last a lifetime. Its made me a much more confident and better version of myself. In the work place Ive been a much better leader and employee. At home Im a better brother, uncle, and son. The impact this academy and the great professors have had my life is immeasurable.

He shared a tremendous amount of information that was very insightful. It is very obvious that he is a passionate instructor who cares about this students and those around him. 2021-07-25This gym is the best! My husband found this gym for our son and Im so glad he did. The instructors are very kind and patient with the kids, and even the children who have been there longer are helpful, kind and very friendly with other children who are new to the program. Which is amazing because it really helped my son feel comfortable in the beginning. JP was very informative when we signed up and answered our millions of questions without ever making us feel like we annoyed him. Lol. This is a great place to come to and I cant wait for my 2 other sons to get older so they can train here as well. 😁

Everyone here is so friendly and supportive from the staff to the students, it makes class fun! But the real excitement and learning experience is being able to work with the Professors, Ive had the privilege to work with Professor Travis, Professor Todd, Professor Cameron and Professor Jose and their passion for the sport resembles in their teaching which makes learning so much more influential and makes me want to grow and be a better martial artist! 2020-03-02I’ve been training at Team Tooke since 2012. I started in their Muay Thai program and slowly found myself completely immersed in BJJ. As far as the schools in Houston, you won’t find a better one! Their professors are extremely competent and skilled in their craft. I could not be happier with the level of instruction or the atmosphere! Team Tooke Is very much a part of my life and is a nonnegotiable when it comes to prioritizing.I don’t think you could find a more motivating or enthusiastic professor than Travis Tooke. I am grateful for the changes his tutelage has helped to being about.

2017-02-28I have worked with a number of gyms, both martial arts and general fitness, with a lot of trainers. I love coming to Team Tooke because the facility is great but the teachers are phenomenal. Every class you can tell that Todd, Cameron, Travis, and Jose love what they do and care about all of their students. The level of talent I find in every person I work with there is evidence of the quality of their teaching as well. 10/10, highly recommend for anyone who is even mildly interested in trying out Jiujitsu.
