My daughter went to the er with abdominal pain yesterday. 12 hours and a battery of test later they sent her home with a diagnosis of acid reflux. The length of time and incompetence of the staff is inexcusable. Her husband was with her so I called the er to see why it was taking so long. The young man that answered the phone was very rude and hung up on me. I spent 6 hours in the er and 6 days in this hospital in April I would reconsider using this hospital should the. Wed arize
Spent 6 and a half hours in ER for my mom. They seemed short staffed. They took decent care but had no rooms. So it was suffle to bloodwork or scan and back to the waiting room. This last part has me concerned. They decided to admit her. Took 2 hours to clean the room and another 1 and a half hours for transport to come after called. By then she was getting visibly worse. They just got us to a room and just left us there. She is fully clothed laying down in a bed at least but 14 min and no one has shown up with a gown or to check one her or acknowledge we are here. ... to be continued ...Continued, please note I do plan to send KatieBorders a note as well.It was actually 20 minutes before anyone showed up. Things I did not disclose due to HIPPA. When they did show up I asked the person to test her for something that I asked for repeadly in the ER. They did within minutes and a few minutes later rushed into action to prevent her from becoming worse. The staff from the hospital (Non-ER) has been very good and attentive from the people that take care of the room to the Doctors themselves. Its the ER that is laking at this point. This is the Presby that I remember going to many times in the past and why I pretty much use them exclusively. Im still very upset about the treatment and potential danger my mother was in while in the ER.Katie, Ill send a note to you later today....
My Lord!!! Where do I begin? From the time she started receiving prenatal care My daughter has been given the worst, most inattentive care I ever seen in my life and being in healthcare myself it disgusted me to know that not all nurses advocate for their patients. Why does one doctor tend to so many patients and the resident doctors lack knowledge and does anyone even document these visit? The same test was asked to be done multiple times, when results was given shhh…she asked questions they were swept over and no one ever checked her. Staff You don’t know someone’s pain so why over talk them not even try to observe them especially when it is their first pregnancy and they are already confused on what to expect. The triage at this location sucks they will keep you 25 minutes max and then send you home no observation whatsoever!!! It should be against the law for some of yall to even practice especially when you caring for so many women and their unborn child!!! I only gave a One cause zero wasn’t an option!
Most horrible frontline person at door I’ve ever encountered. Was scheduled for surgery, went to front to try and register and the woman was absolutely the rudest thing I’ve ever dealt with. I left and did not have the kidney surgery. Will not go back. Upper echelons didn’t give a flip either!! Just a number just for money.
This review has nothing to do with the nurses or doctors and everything to do with Hospital Operations (mainly the food service). From what we were told, the hospital has been short staff for some time. What we were told by one employee was that when the vaccine mandate was put in place, 15 workers in the food operations decided not to come back. This forced the hospital to go from a menu-based option that we know had good Nutrional options from our past stays to just having some food dropped off at your door. The food, looks to be something stuck in a microwave. My wife who just delivered a baby sat there looking at what looked to be a burger and soggy potato fries and I could not believe this was what they were serving. How can a hospital responsible for the health of patient serve food that barely has any nutrition? We are lucky to only be here for a few days but for the patients who are here for weeks, we feel for you. The fact that the hospital thinks this new food is acceptable for its own patients to consume truly reflects on the overall leadership and management of the facility itself.
The nurses are rude, uncaring, seem to be there just to get a pay check, seem to be there to party with each other ac ignore the patients, you ring for them, they take their time to get to you, then seem as if youre bothering them, and thats even from the charge nurse down, they will leave you in your urine, knowing you cant help yourself, you cant complain about them because the next couple nights youll get the same one back and shell be 3x as mean and rude. The ONLY nice and decent nurse was, I think her name was Lia. The rest made my stay very uncomfortable and unpleasant. The rooms were freezing and obviously outdated. I wouldnt care about the room being outdated if the nurses cared more. Im unsure if the gave my girlfriend adequate advice. I think they could have done both surgeries instead of healing and coming back. Im wondering if certain races are treated differently. I hate that the paramedics took her to this hospital after her car accident.
Please understand that severity of this hospital. YOUR FAMILY member will die here. they will be abused and hurt. if you try go to baylor or UT.i promise that they will get better care at mcdonald’s than here. the nurses and doctors want you out of here! they don’t want to help you at all. they want your family members out of here.
Took my mother to the ER for knee pain. The staff and doctor were no help they only suggested getting an X-ray done. The X-ray showed nothing so the ER doctor prescribed pain medication and a referral to Ortho specialist, and sent her home with crutches. When she saw the specialist she ordered an MRI where it clearly showed a torn meniscus. Thanks Texas Health-Presbyterian for NOTHING. Instead of actually doing something about the problem at that moment y’all just prescribe pain medication. Avoid this place you will be wasting your time/money and nothing will be done for you.
DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL!They are slow rude and unprofessional I have been here 3 times in the last week and have been treated rudely by staff and there’s excesss wait time they don’t go by who got her first they go by who’s the sickest is what I was told there is only 4 rooms they use so if u don’t mind waiting 4-6 hours to be seen then have to wait after for results don’t come here they are very unorganized and unprofessional I won’t be coming back ever again
Ira H. was quite helpful in admissions. We laughed and joked and he was super fast with my paper work. My main Nurse, Susie, is the truth. Very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, kind...etc. In fact all the service was professional. The hospital is clean the location is good. And the decorations are gorgeous. The view from my window was worth capturing. 2 thumbs up for everybody... especially floor #2
By far the worst hospital I’ve ever been to. Doctors and nurses not communicating and letting unattended residents wrongly diagnosed patients without any remorse. I’m filing a complaint with the board on one resident and a complaint against the hospital itself. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH!!!
The nurses and doctors at a Presbyterian hospital Dallas took great care of me when I had Covid last year. I went to the ER and I had an awesome nurse that treated me like she knew me! She was fun understanding and she listened. I wish I knew her name so I could shout her out. The nurses on the observation floor were awesome too! They checked on me often and it was like a big family. It was reassuring to have nurses and doctors who looked like me and cared about me!
First of all, I wish zero stars was a possible review.A very close friend of mine, Joel Rubin, was admitted to the ICU at this hospital due to COVID-19.His family members and myself, tried to visit him multiple times, but were told that we were not allowed to. When I tried to visit him on the 3rd floor, I was VERY RUDLY spoken to by a nurse at the door to his room 339 in the Hamon building. She told me I was not allowed to visit him, and wouldn’t even let me know if he was okay. This was on Christmas Day 2021.A few days later, on Tuesday, I received a call from his nephew explaining that we had one last FaceTime call with him…before he passes. We had no idea he was even dying because the hospital would not give anyone any updates on our dear Joel. We watched him take his last sweet breaths on the video call (which we are so thankful for).Shortly after, the nurse in charge of taking his ventilator off spoke to us in the MOST rude manner. She said “well he is dead now,” as if he didn’t matter. It was the most heart breaking event I have experienced.I hope no one ever takes a loved one to this hospital without reading this review, so you have the knowledge of what has happened to us. I never felt love or empathy from the staff, and I fear our Joel didn’t either. I hope no one experiences what Joel experienced from Dallas Presbyterian, Hamon building 3rd Floor ICU.
When I’m shopping for my Health Insurance, I make sure Texas Health Presbyterian is in my network. I had to go to the ER tonight for a sensitive reason. The Dr and Nurses were all so caring and as always, friendly. My problem was solved in ER and the team was fantastic! Professional and informative. This Hospital saved my life once. We’re taking the Chaplain was in my room to visit with me. Prognosis was grim. But, they are the best in Dallas! I’m alive thanks to the level of providers that they employ. I am forever thankful that they continue to be my caregiver of choice.
I’m in the ER for symptoms of covid, i’m the only one in the lobby and waited for so long for them to come and check me. now i’m waiting for an hour for my discharge papers. i asked the lady she said rudely they ain’t done. i just want to go home since they didn’t give me nothing but Tylenol, not the first time they have people waiting for hours like that. i feel so sick, waiting in the lobby for hours. i want to go home !! for Jesus christ sake
This review is based on May 2020, I delivered my 2nd baby here. The nurses were very nice and attentive to all my needs. The food was pretty good for a hospital. The only complaint is that during the time my baby had to be in the NICU, we could see my baby all the time with a camera that was placed above her crib. One time my baby had to wear an eye mask to protect her eyes, the mask was falling covering her nose and woke her up crying trying to move it from her face almost suffocating, my husband had to run to the NICU and remove it or she could of died. We were amazed that no one noticed my babys heart raising or crying from desperation.
In May, Dr. Mark Till and his team attended to me. They were quick, gentle, and took my concerns seriously. I had acute pancreatitis and a gallbladder removal. They didn’t hesitate to admit me to the hospital and treat me. Then about 1 1/2 months ago, Dr. Mark Till and his team saved my 4-month-old son’s life. Thank you to him and his staff on that day. They held me as I cried & stabilized my son before transferring him to Children’s. I hold Dr. Mark Till & his staff with the utmost respect & highest regards for saving my life and then my son’s. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I wish there was a way I could express how deeply appreciative I am.
This hospital is terrible! I only met 2 nurses who where nice and cared! I’m 22 with kidney failure and I had a hematoma(bleeding in the stomach) I was in so much pain and the head nurse told me I thinking your faking you don’t need any pain medicine! I went for about 2 hours screaming and yelling! Then the doctor came by and told me to take tramadol I said I can’t I have seizures with that and I’m allergic! He said ice worked her for 10 years you won’t have a seizure! They where rude and just not helping at we transferee hospitals Dallas medical city and they are so much better!!!
Staff are rude and hateful. None of them can give you information. I have even called to speak to a house supervisor and heck they couldnt direct me where i needed to be. Not a single person in this hospital could tell us where to get coffee. Not even the cop they had walking around. We waited 2 days to get transported for ny uncle to have triple bypass surgery. We get moved and it has been heck since. What is this place running?
If you take your family here be prepared for disgusting behavior by some of these nurses. they are horrible don’t listen to family don’t listen to any single complaint. especially from the2nd floor hamon cardiac med surge floor what a bunch of horrible people. your family member will be killed here.
Wow this is the first bad experience at this hospital. Total lack of communication and rudeness. Was supposed to take a stress test. It was canceled because they gave me a Covid test and assumed I was sick. It was rescheduled but nobody told me I needed not to eat for the test. When I arrived back I was told I would get insulin injection and food. 3 hours later I got a phone call I was going to be dismissed. I asked the nurse to take heart monitor and ivy needle out. She needed permission to remove monitor even though she knew about dismissal. The needle in my arm I was told to wait...something might happen. Doctors were nice. Some older nurses were rude.
Worst experience ever! Nurses are so rude they can’t even direct you to a physician or even want to give you an answer to the question you want to figure out! This is one of the main reasons why health care system is failing. Never again am I coming back.. it felt like I wasn’t even welcomed.
I was admitted at this hospital when I was 23 weeks pregnant and had my son at 25 weeks and 4 days. My son spent a total of 179 days in the NICU/special care. The medical staff were a godsend to us. My sons life was saved several times by nurses that are very experienced and very understanding and friendly. The Dr’s are also amazing and made the right calls when saving my sons life. I’m very thankful to this hospital and recommend to have your baby here, especially if it’s a high risk pregnancy like mine was. I was able to bring my son home because of this hospital. I would give 10 stars if I could!!
I should have put in a review right after I got out the hospital but I have the time to do it now this hospital is AMAZING! they took very good care of me! I had covid and pneumonia I was low on oxygen and they helped me so much to get better! the nurses are so sweet and gave me motivation to get up and try to move around to help with my lungs they are so awesome! also the doctors are very nice and understanding! I literally love this hospital I’m grateful to god I’m better to be home with my kids I want to thank the nurses and doctor Robert babak and namitha cunniah for being great doctors to me! if anyone is ever sick this is the hospital I recommend!
I called asking how to get in as my Uber driver apparently dropped me off at the back. I told the lady what the door said 7am-7pm and she was incredibly nasty and said dont ask me about that stuff! Finally. Two security guards walk by and I ask them how to get to the ER with my ongoing chest pains and instead of helping me or calling a nurse they told me too bad go around the other side which entailed me going up to the street and around the corner as their parking garage drive blocked quick walking access. The nurse was nice. Radiology girls were nasty!talking about me like I wasnt there why is she sitting like that? Because Im in pain! Couldve just asked me!
I had surgery in September. The admission and registration process was very disorganized. The recovery room nurse was rude. Now the hospital isn’t happy with the amount of money my insurance paid them so they are holding my overpayment refund until they get everything they want from insurance. So, I am being punished because they didn’t get proper pre authorization. The billing representative was rude and talked to me like I was stupid. I would not return to this hospital again. Horrible!
My ER visit was really positive. They listened to my symptoms, got me pain relief quickly, took blood tests, a urine test, etc., as well as ultrasound tests to see why I was having such intense pelvic pain. They got my results pretty quickly, and the payment process was easy. The only thing I wish they had done differently was to take a little more time to explain my diagnoses, and tell me what was in the medications and IVs they gave me. Overall, a very positive experience, though!
On Monday, October 25th, I called your facility to schedule a Monoclonal Enzyme Infusion. I was told the earliest available appointment was Friday, October 29th at 9AM, 4 days after my phone call. I arrived on time, was escorted to the infusion area, only to be told that I had missed the window. I didnt miss the window, your facility missed the window. I waited 4 days, feeling very sick, and you missed the window? I was also told by the employee who was to do the infusion, that I looked better than most people she had seen. Really? How unprofessional! I wonder how many other VICTIMS have missed the window? May I make a victim suggestion? Educated your employees as to the window so they dont miss it or suffer needlessly when there are other aggressive treatments available. If there was an option to give you ZERO stars, I would have done it.Jackie Youkers
It’s ridiculous that I’ve been here for two hours with extreme vomiting, excruciating stomach pain, and lightheadedness and they won’t bother to do anything. It’s honestly not a good look on them. If I were to pass out, they’d only have themselves to blame at this point. Will most definitely not be back and I will tell everyone I know not to come here. The other reviews on here back up what I’m saying tbh
My fiancé was brought to Texas Health Presbyterian of Dallas around the second week in March 2022 and the staff here is very unprofessional. They would just come in and do their routine and not explain anything as to what they were giving him or why..The Dr.who came on shift was only seen once and that was only when he began his shift. The staff was very rude and nobody ever came to clean the room.My fiancé sheets were dirty due to his iv leaking because the nurse didnt do it right, was fifty and nobody ever attempted to bring him a clean one or even just point me in the direction to get a clean sheets the whole experience was awful then to make matters worse my fiancé birthday fell on March 14th so he had family members drive an hour and half to come see him but the nurse on shift gave him so much medication that he literally wasnt able to keep his eyes open for no more than 3 minutes at a time, she kept him so medicated so they wouldnt have to deal him and he missed out on visiting with his parents and sister.. Its the worse hospital I have ever been to and I agree with some of the other reviews that if you dont want your family members to die please find somewhere else to take them..
My Gran gran has been here 9 days now and the nurses and doctors have been the best here. Nurses Akliah, Charlie B., Dr Choe and Dr Lee tech Claudia. We appreciate every single one of you. Thank you for the compassion and love of your career. You all make the world a better place.Maxine burns 🔥
If you are having gynecological issues, stay away from this hospital! Im writing this review after leaving the hospital and getting treatment elsewhere--where the new medical team at the new location informed me that Texas Presby mistreated me and endangered my health with their treatment methods. Im originally from the East coast and was admitted to this hospital for a gynecological bleeding issue, the OBGYN hospitalist rounded on me once during my stay and NEVER examined me. My primary OBGYN, who was out of state, called the hospital over 5 times to attempt to get an update on me. Once she finally saw my ultrasound, she immediately knew that I need emergency surgery to stop the bleeding. Instead of performing surgery to stop my nonstop bleeding, the OBGYN hospitalist kept me on a Tranexamic acid drip in my infected arm. While on the blood clotting meds, I continued to bleed. The only person in the hospital who showed any professionalism was the Hematologist -- Dr. Juturi. She informed me that she was fearful that being on a constant drip of blood clotting meds for days when my issue was completely gynecological and not hematological, would result in a blood clot that could possibly go to my brain. The only treatment I needed was a surgery to stop the bleeding, but instead of performing surgery, the hospitalist kept me on blood clotting meds and continued to give me blood transfusions that I bled out. When my primary OBGYN spoke to Dr. Juturi, she realized that I was never going to get adequate treatment in this hospital. At that point, she demanded my discharge to her care for surgery.By the time I left the hospital my arm was swollen to almost 3x its normal size and in excruciating pain as a result of over 8 attempts to insert a line resulting in a DVT and infection in my arm. After letting the team know my arm was burning and in pain, no one switched the IV to my alternate arm. I was also given undiluted Zofran in the line. My situation had worsened so much, the team treating me was shocked that the Texas Presbyterian did not perform emergency surgery. This review is solely for the OBGYN hospitalist, as I received wonderful care and life saving advice from hematology. The one star is for Dr. Juturi, the rest of my mistreatment deserves 0 stars.
Horrific. Rude employees from the moment I checked into the ER. They let my condition get worse as I was in the ER. They have NO comparison or empathy for hurting people. I would have for better care at a Veterinarian. My vet has more live and sympathy for my dog then this place has for people. Worse experience of any hospital. And I’m suppose to trust them with my procedure. Never again will I come here and you shouldn’t either. Took 8 hours to get a room.
I had my daughter here and I do not recommend this place. The only good part about my stay was the night nurse, Amanda. My day nurse, Sudha barely spoke any English. Then when I was being transferred to the special care unit to treat my baby’s jaundice she took off with her. She ran away with my daughter and I had no idea where she was. Then they said I was going home Tuesday, then a few hours before discharge they FINALLY said something about her jaundice levels. The special care unit was very cold and since my daughter could only have a diaper on, she kept crying and wasn’t able to stay under the light as needed. I will never ever be coming back here.
What a horrible ER experience. Arrived in an ambulance from a car accident and being injured and was told by Charge Nurse I would have to wait in triage. Two and half hours later, I still hadn’t seen a doctor or a nurse.Would not ever want to come back here. Front desk staff was rude and condescending; people sitting around wailing and crying. Overall not a good experience.
I would not normally post a negative review about a hospital; however, I, as a pastor, am visiting someone almost daily in our area hospitals. This hospital still refuses to allow visitors. They say they do, but the onerous restrictions make it almost impossible to provide comfort or care to my parishioners. Even though I have been vaccinated for months, will wear whatever PPE they desire and will jump through the hoops, they seem to be less likely than any hospital to begin allowing visits from loved ones. Presbyterian is a good hospital (thus 3 stars) and I applaud their care during the pandemic; however, it is time to allow visitors from more family and pastors in the community. The restrictions in place at Presbyterian need to be reviewed.
Excellent ER staff. Took care of my son with kindness and efficiency in a late night scary visit. We were asked to wait outside or in our car for the 4+ hours we were there, which was fine. Every person we saw coming in was treated with same respect and quick professionalism.
I rate them overall as less than average. They charge you for parking. I have encountered difficulties getting the medical records on my mother who was hospitalized there for 15 days. My mother is not computer-literate. I tried to get medical records by creating an account for the purpose using my mothers name and other information I knew about her. That did not work. I attempted numerous times unsuccessfully to have someone email the records to me.I saw the discharge papers that authorized transfer to a nursing home facility. It contained prescribing information regarding the drugs that she would get as well as special treatment instructions and a list of many of the tests that were ordered. But I saw no information in the papers regarding the medical test results. The doctors there were remiss in failing to immediately order a test for hepatitis when they saw that liver enzymes were greatly elevated. I later got a doctor to order the hepatitis test panel 1 day before her discharge to the nursing home. They should have ordered that same test panel 12 or 13 days earlier when they knew about the greatly elevated liver enzymes. It showed that she had the hepatitis C virus. However it will be the nursing home that will have to order follow up tests to see how much of a problem that is and to prescribe appropriate treatment. My suspicion is that it likely will turn out to be a huge problem. One condition she was found to have is a life threatening blood clot in her lungs. Its very possible that was actually caused by the hepatitis C infection. If that turns out to be the case, what they treated with a blood thinner really needed anti-hepatitis C treatment.Another problem is that some but not all of the nurses there became impatient with her when she screamed when they tried to move one of her arms, one of her legs, or her butt. She had painful lesions over her entire body so many limb movements caused great pain. As much as possible they should have gotten her to move her limbs on her own so they could change her, and when necessary be extremely slow moving a limb so they could do what needed to be done. The transfer to a nursing home facility was done quite knowledgeably by the hospital. But I have concerns about their off-course medical protocol.UPDATE as of 4/1/2021. We have also been having too many problems getting medical records from the hospital. Getting written records didnt take long, but getting images of all the X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs that were taken proved to be a big problem. One of the doctors that my mother saw after the transfer to the nursing home wanted the images so he could make appropriate decisions as to whether he could successfully treat my mothers severe frostbite injuries without amputations. After 10 full days of requesting these images he still doesnt have them. I added my weight by also requesting them but to no avail. 2 days ago I had my Mother sign a personal request for the images and that didnt produce the results either. There is really a lot at stake here. This delay could very well cost my mother both legs because of the delay getting crucial images from the hospital that the doctor needed for procedures that were being considered.
Update: after about 12 minutes, Ira comes out of office and remembers me from my previous visit and gets me thru the paper system quickly and escorts mé to x-ray. Thanks Ira. You got me to add more stars to this review.Customer service isnt a good priority on level 1. The hassles to get thru the dang red tape just for a 4 minute x-ray is ridiculous.Half staffed admission desk all have to go thru at 9 a. M. Is ridiculous.
Worst experience I have ever had with any hospital my entire like. Im only 27 and have been blessed to not have to spend an extensive amount of time in many hospitals. But I have spent 2-3 days in many in our metroplex. Also I was raised by my grandparents who did both spend much more time than they would have liked in hospitals around the metroplex as well. So I would like to believe that I have experienced many doctors and nurses that work in hospitals. Or the hospital systems in general. I know how they work. Did I know not every situation prayer for this Ive been was perfect of course every hospital is going to have pros and cons.but Im having a hard time trying to put into words the experience that I just had at Presbyterian in dallas. I was only there almost 3 days. And I have never been belittled and felt degraded and judged like I did these last three days of being in this hospital. I should have had hand surgery thats why I was sent to this hospital. And that was a given until the hand surgeon came in there and he was very disrespectful and belittling from the moment he walked in the door. He didnt even look at my hand and said that I didnt need surgery. But the longer he talks the more he let out that it was pretty much that I didnt have insurance is why he did not want to do the surgery. If I would have had insurance Im sure he would have jumped right on the surgery. Because thats exactly why I was sent to that hospital in the first place was to have this surgery performed. but I this man was not budging on doing it for me with no insurance. I will never go back to this hospital and I dont make it recommended even to my worst enemy. I spent my nights there crying myself to sleep because of how these people made me feel. Everybody makes bad mistakes and we should never be criticized for those especially by people we dont know people that are supposed to be there to help us no matter what the circumstances are. I hope and pray this hospital somehow gets shut down soon because Ive never even seen a health staff with this kind of attitude. Like I always thought people in the medical field cared and thats why they wanted to go into that field. But it was very apparent that none of these people cared. Not about me at least.
I would never recommend a hospital that mandates a one-size-fits-all approach to health and robs its employees of making their own medical decisions regarding their health and safety. I definitely do not feel safe at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas knowing its business practices. I would have to assume that I will not be given proper informed consent, my wishes will most likely be dismissed, and medical procedures will be forced upon me as this is what the hospital is doing to its very own staff. Mandating that all staff receive an experimental gene therapy that has over 11,000 associated deaths on the VAERS reports is not only ridiculous but also dangerous. Staff should be allowed to decide if this experimental product is or is not in their best interest.
Best ER experience in years. My mom had suffered what we believe was a mini stroke. After arriving in the ER and being pre-screeend, she was quickly admitted to a room. The doctor saw her right away and ordered labs and scans. Everything was done quickly and efficiently. The medical staff were friendly and positive. Fortunately she was in good enough shape to be released the same night. Im so appreciative of the whole experience and will definitely be returning if the need ever arises again (fingers crossed we dont need to).
Loved this hospital, probably the best one ive been to, besides jpss emergency surgery ppl, who put me back together so well. I loved the emergency room staff, not the doctor so much, but everyone else. And after they admitted me and i went upstairs, everyone up there was great. Especially the nurses, they were so super helpful, offered me sumthing to drink & sum crackers & gramcrackers to snack on & then feed me really not long after that. They were super sweet too & very professional. Ive been back since then & will probably go there next time i have to go to a hospital.
My grandmother was transferred to your hospital last night from Rockwall Presby to treat congestive heart failure. In the last 24 hours you have been completely negligent regarding the care of my grandmother and I have every intention of fully documenting every decision made and reporting you to the State. She has gone from a standard floor, to intermediate care to the ICU in less than 24 hours with NO TREATMENT AND NO NUTRITION.Administering dextrose is NOT nutrition. She has yet to see a cardiologist and you are restricting the visitation of her family while “waiting for COVID” results. Which she tested negative for at Presby RockwallYour poor quality of care and negligence may result in the death of my grandmother, alone in a hospital without the presence of a single family member.SHAME ON YOU!!!!
My gyn who works here took the covid shot. His choice. I dont want the shot, my son cant have the shot (severe anaphylactic lifelong injury), and we dont want to be treated by someone who has the shot until more is known about the transmission or shedding. The shot does not prevent the virus. It simply masks symptoms of carriers, which can harm our community more than someone who has symptoms of illness and chooses to stay home. Please dont force your staff to take an experimental biologique. Its not FDA approved, and many would like to wait and see. We will NOT visit your hospital unless an accident out of our control lands us there. Youve lost my business and a whole lot of good, premium insurance pay outs.
I was in labor and delivery for 4 days...My WORSED NURSE (Regina a)TOOK 2 HOURS TO REPOND TO MY CALLS. I WAS IN PAIN BY THE TIME SHE GOT THERE WITH MEDS IT WAS UNBAREABLE! The 2nd time I had her, I was nauseous and by the time she got there AN HOUR LATER I had already thrown up and BUSTED 2 STAPLES.I had a csection and tubal. I was 34 weeks and had an emergency csection. The Anesthesiologist (TEX) missed and hit 3 wrong spots before FINALLY GETTING IT RIGHT! & then I ended up have a spinal fluid leak.
Highly dont recommend this hospital, because my little cousin who was hit by speeding vehicle and was sent in a coma. And was sent here and received just little help. Also, after a few days of being there the inhumane, so-called doctor was already telling the family that they needed to make a fast decision and pull the plug. So, my family requested to transfer him to another hospital company. And hes already making progress. WOW!! And here they were trying to pull the plug. SHAME!P.S. Ive been seeing this a lot lately. The discrimination against the type of insurance a person. And if the person doesnt have an expensive medical insurance that will pay more, then they dont want to even bother with the patient. As a future politician and activist, I will fight to bring changes.
I experienced a very rude treatment from officer T.Dwyer and a Secretary on 4th floor North of Hampton building. They did not allow me to visit my best friend at 6:50 pm stating that the patient had 2 visitors today. It is a lie! My friend’s son is there every minute helping his dad and my friend had only 1 visitor today! Security people and medical staff has no compassion at all. I am fully vaccinated and have a full right to see my friend.
I was there for about 11 or 12 days with covid pneumonia and I was badly mistreated by several rude and unprofessional staff. In addition, they took almost all of my personal belongings from me and then lost everything but my phone, so after I left, I had to get a new wallet, drivers license, and credit card. This is not the first bad experience I have had at Presby.
I had my two kids here it was a great experience than I send my daughter for them to help her and she gets treaded rudely by some overweight Caucasian nurse. Ask her what her provider is so she works in administration or what? By law her job is to provide care to pregnant women, not make them feel bad or put on spot!!! You took an oath do your job!!!!
My mom had a stroke and was taken here recently. Due to covid they are only letting 1 person a day see the patient. I went this morning, literally got to stay a total of 5 minutes before they had to take her for another CT scan. My sister tried to go in the afternoon and they said my mother could not have another visitor because I was there earlier (for 5 minutes!)I understand this is a safeguard in helping reduce the spread of covid and it may make sense if numerous people are coming in/out of a room - but my mother only has my sister and I. As I understand it, the support she receives from family, friends, and the hospital will affect her recovery. Its hard to support her when the hospital will not let us see her for more than 5 minutes a day...For all you know this could be my mothers last day alive, and you took it upon yourselves to prevent her family from seeing her.
Delivered my child here & it was an awesome experience! Nurses are great & very helpful! Love this hospital! Mandy was the best, very patient, helped me deliver no epidural more about 24 hrs in labor it was hard but she was such a great help! Will always remember her!!
My husband had to have open heart surgery (triple bypass) and was referred to Dr. J. Mark Pool. The entire process - from the first telephone conversation with Dr. Pools office to the moment my husband was discharged and loaded into our car - we could not have asked for a better experience. Every single person involved in his care in any capacity did their job with great skill, integrity, and compassion. It truly was a positive experience. We live 2-1/2 hrs. away, so I was very grateful that I was able to stay in the hospital guest house which was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Also, I found that the hospital offered a good variety of meal options so I never had to leave the campus during my husbands hospitalization. We are both very grateful we were steered in that direction!
I was in 7 times during the last 6 months of 2019. With all but a couple, the nurses and techs were outstanding. They remembered me and treated me as a close friend. Their food and choices are even good. I let my mother convince me to go to City Hospital once on an emergency in it really put in perspective the difference between a horrible hospital and a great time one.
Through incompetence and greed they crippled me for life , lied on the medical records prevented me from receiving proper care kicked me out early dumped me on a place where I later had a catastrophic failure of my tracheostomy and was dead for 9 minutes denied all liabilities so I received no continuity of care because I have no funds to provide such left me for Dad allowed me to wake up under anesthesia while they were cutting me
NURSE sHARON ON FLOOR FOUR HAMMOND IS ABSOLUTELY, TERRIBLY RUDE & FULL OF A NEGATIVE ATTITUDE. sHE IS A BAD REPRESENTATION OF THE INTEGRITY OF THIS HOSPITAL. THIS IS NOT THE 1ST, 2ND OR 3RD TIME SHE HAS ANSWERED THE PHONE WITH AN EXTREMELY TERRIBLE ATTITUDE. #LORD HELP TODAY!
I want into the err due to coughing up blood. The nurse helped me to the bathroom and I went into respiratory failure again. The RT guy Larry and dr Rivera told I could control it and I was fine. I ended up with a massive infection and needed emergency surgery. I have been in the hospital for several weeks and not been able to eat for 3 weeks. They need to be fired immediately!!!!!
I recently visited the ER at Texas Health Presbyterian hoping for some sort of answers to a health issue I had been experiencing for several days.I unfortunately left with no answers and the supposed referral I was given to a specialist was never actually sent over to them. Do not waste your time at this hospitals ER department. Dr. Steven Bradley Sellers seemed like he was clueless and had better things to do and more severe patients to see.I HIGHLY suggest Baylor Scott and White Frisco instead. They were able to diagnose me within a few hours and set up a same day call from a specialist.
If you have Covid-19, dont go to Texas Health Presbyterian , because they DO NOT CARE about the health and welfare of their patients. The staff is exceptionally rude, all the way from the ER staff/nurses to the staff/nurses on whichever hospital floor you have the misfortune of being admitted to. Since nurses are in short supply and in high demand due to the pandemic, the ones at Presbyterian Dallas have decided that your health is not their top priority, getting a paycheck is .
Very disappointing when you are admitted to a room (main tower), and because I utilize a power wheelchair...NONE if the bathroom doors are wide enough. HAD TO GO TO THE MAIN LOBBY TO GO TO THE BATHROOM. My power wheelchair is normal width. It is not acceptable to not accommodate for patient needs. The charge nurse said I was admitted for very low hemoglobin....as if I left my spinal cord injury at home.
This hospital has been great for my husband, but he is on Medicare. I have insurance, went to the ER - My blood pressure was really high and I wasnt feeling good. Hardly anyone in the ER, tell the intake nurse what was going on and they whisk me away for an EKG, etc. 4 hours and several tests later, my blood pressure lower and negative results on the test , I leave with orders to follow up with Heart and Vascular. Great. Then the billing nightmare starts. First the wrong mailing address is used resulting in a cannot id patient. The code used when billing my insurance was unspecified chest pain. Really? Insurance denies claim. I was never in any pain and never said I was. Talking to the billing department since the beginning and was told this would not be sent to collections. Ask the billing dept. to please re-submit the claim, the gal says the it would be escalated for re-submission, turns out that they didnt and never told me. Turns out that they refused to resubmit. Now I have a collection letter for the full amount. So, I call them, tell them I have appealed with my insurance co. and it could take up to 30 days, and they tell me that the only way to stop the collection is to pay what I owe. My insurance will NOT reimburse me for what I pay. The hospital says that if insurance pays, they will refund my portion. THIS IS SO WRONG. I didnt mis-code the claim, but now I am out hours of time and risk my credit if I dont pay $2550.00 of which I am sure I will never see a dime returned.....Why would Presby work so hard at not working with me to collect all their money. How much does the collection agency make? 50%
I will not recommend this hospital to anybody! The nurses and doctors dont keep their word when it comes to thing. In the emergency and ICU unit you can hear staff talking bad about different patients and their family very unprofessional! They were not help ful at all educating myself behind my mothers health and I got a lot of IDK as an answer when asking a question. They take their sweet time when it comes to taking care of tasks thats if they get to it. Also some staff from the hospital took it upon their self to talk to my mothers home health and insurance giving false statements regarding my mother. Also adult services ended up at my door behind a he said she said word going around between nurses when their story was completely off! They were just there for a paycheck but some nurses I give kudos too they did a great jobonly if I could remember their name. Also they changed my moms prescription last minute before she was discharged from the hospital sos he could finish the rest of her antibiotics at home and that WAS THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED! She ended up being allergic to the medicine and breaking out in hives and causing another infection in her lower area! NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN WILL I STEP FOOT IN THIS HOSPITAL! I will be filing A BBB complaint and showing paperwork and pictures as well before she went in the hospital and after somebody needs to be held accountable seriously!
I must say that I felt like royalty with the care I received. Staff went right to work to care for me. I love the caring staff. The nurses were very friendly and personable. Dr Whitaker has great beside manners. I am very grateful for the care I received at Presbyterian Dallas Hospital.
First off I want to say that I use to work for this hospital so I am no where near complaining about the care of treatment of patients, this place is amazing. I am writing this review because on 11/07 around 9pm, my sister took her 4 year old daughter to the emergency room. When we arrived she proceeded to tell the lady that she would not be able to pay for parking and if she would be able to get the parking validated. The lady at the ER check in desk proceeded to tell her that she could either pay for parking or leave. This is so unacceptable, my sister left and had to go to a different emergency room and found out her daughter had pneumonia. This was a clear violation of EMTALA laws. She presented in the ER seeking emergency medical care for her daughter and was basically turned away. I clearly know first hand that parking can be violated for emergency room visitors but the issue here is the lack of compassion and care your staff provided. Her daughter had a 105 fever and was in pain, and yet your staff saw it fit to advise her to either pay for the parking or go somewhere else.I would like a direct person that I can send in a official complaint to so we can get this resolved.
Amazing hospital with a wonderful staff! My fiancé was well cared for during every part of his visit. They even helped me and kept me calm in the most stressful situations. I am so thankful for all the care they provided in the ER, ICU, OR and all over the hospital. Great location and a very clean facility with A+ doctors and nurses!
This has been the worst experience of my dealing with this hospital and it’s staff. The ER nurses show favoritism among different races of people/patients. This is why I will from this point on go to a free standing ER for emergencies. There is no need for a representative to apologize or have me contact them because it’s all BS and Blah Blah Blah point blank period.
Valerie Weiss and the Birth Certificate Staff were absolutely horrendous. The day after my girlfriend gave birth we had an awful experience with the women of the Birth Certificate department. The entire staff was extremely unmotivated and simply did not want to be there. Their attitudes were absolutely disgusting and Ive never dealt with such rude people in my life. If you plan on having a child at this hospital, get ready to deal with these people (Its jaw dropping). They will provide necessary paperwork and when you have questions they will roll their eyes or lash out at you instead of finding the answers. It is absolutely unbelievable how incompetent this department is. We finally got to speak with the director Valerie Weiss and she couldnt care less about her own staff. She gave us the basic number to the Attorney Generals office and told us to handle the birth certificate process ourselves, because the hospital was unable to complete it. With a Director like Valerie, I can see why the staff feels they can act so rude and neglectful about their job... nobody is responsible for their actions and there is a major lack of management. The nurses and doctors were so great during are stay. It is such a shame the Birth Certificate Department was so difficult and rude. If this department was different I would have rated this hospital 5 stars without question. I hope this review is helpful and that these issues get resolved soon.
I finally feel comfortable giving my experience. For those who have Medicaid i wouldnt advise you to go to this location the doctors and nurses feel they can say whatever they want to you. I am a plus size but when i passed the glucose test they told me i should have failed because of my size and had me to do the 4 hour one just to pass that too. When i was asked a question i would have each person to ask the same thing because no one took note. So when it was close to me gaving the baby i asked can yall check because my back is really hurting to where i can hardly walk , so the obgyn that day told me well it sounds like you dont need no more kids. The labor and delivery was the same i told them hey i dont think the epidural is going right it feel like you are turning a clock in my back. I was told they know what they are doing you just focus on trying to have a baby. I I also had a hard time eating because everything i couldnt have was what they was trying to give me and what i could have was on lock . It took my spouse to say something for them to listen to me. My last day i walked carrying my baby in the carseat because i have legs . Im now having my third baby and im willing to go back to forth worth then to go back here i felt lesser than an human being at this hospital. I was scared to say anything because I didnt want to be treated even worse
If I could rate this hospital a zero I would, it was the most painful and stressful experience delivering my first child there. It has been 9 months since delivering my son and I still remember my horrific experience at this hospital. If you are delivering here I would highly suggest considering other hospitals. After delivering my baby, the nurses could care less about the pain I was in, they wanted me get up right away even though I explained to them many times that I was in extreme pain. They could care less and told me “ this happens during pregnancy you have to get up and walk”. I was unable to change the babies diaper or do anything after giving birth, when I asked for assistance one of the nurses stated “your going to have get up and do this yourself so you can learn”. They made me feel like I was a burden on them. When I asked for more pads after finishing the ones in the restroom, they gave me an attitude about giving me more. They told me that I was using them too quickly. They huffed and puffed any time I asked them for any assistance for the baby or getting help adjusting my bed and walking to the bathroom. Anytime I would press the button they would take at least 20 mins to come. No matter how impressed you are with the doctor at the hospital do not let that distract you from miserable you would be during the most important time of your life your birthing experience. The nurses are rude, and act like your a burden because they don’t want to be there. After my delivery I was left in so much emotional pain and stress dealing with negligent nurses that I was exhausted and depressed once I returned home. still feel so much regret for choosing this hospital even after 9 months that I was treated the way I was on what was suppose to be the best day of my life. I’m writing this review to inform other moms so they don’t make the same mistake I made. Please please please choose any other hospital for your birth except this one.
My husband had spine surgery and had to stay in ICU for one night. His nurse Evan was absolutely brilliant! He was extremely considerate, efficient and professional. His upbeat attitude was amazing and most appreciated. His night nurse Vie also went above and beyond and had a great attitude. I cannot express my gratitude enough for such a wonderful and respectful staff. You guys rock!!
This is in regards to the ER.Brought my sister in at 8:30PM and there were a few people in the lobby. Writing this at 2:00AM after theyve taken vitals, blood and a urine sample. I ask the nurses what the delay is and they come back with its been a busy weekend. All hospitals have this delay. I personally called Baylor @ Uptown who has a 10 person wait and Parkland who has a 15 person wait. This isnt an urgent care so I know there are more than 10 beds in this ER unit. Never coming here again. Ill be sure to refute any and all claims sent to the insurance company as well. You complain and dont pay for your food, well you should receive care in a timely manner or the hospital doesnt get paid either.UPDATE: The staff and I figured out at around 4 that she was being treated for the wrong thing. Totally wrong. Had to speak to the nursing supervisor to try to rectify the situation. I can understand trying to better the situation but the staff couldve tried a little harder. We didnt end up leaving until 8:30AM. A simple injection or 2 ended up taking 12 hours to do. This was a serious ball-drop on the staffs part.
My wife and I wait here for 2 hours just for a blood test. The service is delayed and baby is getting hungry. The valet parking don’t have a in and out service. Every time you grab your car you need to pay 7 dollars! Admission computer doesn’t work, no IT support term solve the problem. Lab testing cost more than a hour waiting without a explanation. I don’t want to spend my time and money here anymore.Well, I just find the caller that the front desk girl gave me. I will give it back when I have time. The first nurse cant needle my baby in a right way in her heel. The blood cured even before collected in the vials. So, she got another one to suffer. I know sometimes it happens. But, I am still not happy after 6 days.
My wife was released today Angela M in The Harmon buildingThe nurse takes IV out drops the Bandage on floor, and puts on her arm I confront her and said I’m not a nurse but I know better than that then she grabbed another one and then says sorry. that is so wrong of a nurse😡😡😡The other nurses was great taking care of her!!
Only giving 1 star because zero isnt an option. Terrible hospital as far as the ER goes, the staff could care less about the patients. I was in on 11-6-19 for spotting in a pregnancy and dizziness. They did not tell me about having fluid in my ears or give information on how to treat it. All the doctor said was lets run some tests and left the room. Didnt care to ask abou int medical history or listen to my situation. I asked the nurse named LEAH for help in sitting up, her response, Im not going to lift you up with an attitude. Wasnt asking her to lift me, i just wanted her to hold my hand as I lifted myself up. Very rude, inconsiderate nurse along with everyone else at the front desk. Didnt feel like they cared about me, only about getting money out of me! Never going back!
I just went through the most terrible and traumatic experience of my life. I would not wish it on anyone but the care I received from all Presby staff was incredible. I have so much respect now for nurses/doctors and all that they do. They treated me very kindly. In one of my many visits I had to take my child in tow. At one point I had to go to a back room for a shot and he could not tag along. It was just him and I and the nurses knew that, one of the front desk ladies quickly said she will watch him for me. I felt so relieved and grateful for how we were treated that day. At the end of that visit the RN thanked my son for accompanying his mommy. (very sweet) Thank you Presby for taking care of me through my worst times. I wish I remembered everyones names but I visited so many times throughout the last 30 days that I just cannot remember every nurse/doctor I encountered.
Best hospital Ive ever been to in or have birth at! Was so well taken care of by such awesome great staff my c section was a breeze and I was taught how to hold my son properly to breast feed I was 21 and that was my favorite birthing experience thanks to Presbyterian hospital of North Dallas.
I delivered my daughter June 7th 2019 via C-section Dr Rodriguez was my doctor. This was my 5th C-section so of course I wanted to read the reviews of the hospital and how the staff was. The reviews made me second guess having my baby here even though my doctor was AMAZING!!! Going in I didnt know what to expect! I can HONESTLY say the service I recieved was BEYOND GREAT! From the first nurse I encountered, anesthesiologist, and the staff that was waiting in the surgery room was caring, comforting, and informative. They assured me that everything was going to be okay. When I started crying they comforted me and you just cant find that service anywhere. The nurses on the 4th floor that took care of me were ALLLLL AMAZING!! I WISH I REMEMBERED there names because they deserve an award. The only complaint I have is registering for my parking pass I never received it and paying for parking was a pain especially when your husband have to leave everyday to check on your other kids at home. We paid for parking the entire 9months even after I kept making request for a parking pass.
I brought my son in today he was running a fever unexpectedly. They were very nice, fast, informative and very gentle with my son.He is a great kid and knows how to behave so it felt good to know that they are very caring. We couldn’t make it to his doctor in time, but I am glad Presbyterian was able to help us.Thank you
My moms experience was excellent at the Perot center at this hospital. I was particularly impressed with the nurse case manager, because she was so quick to respond to questions and she handled my moms needs beautifully. It was a joy to work with her, and it restored my faith in THR, as we had the exact opposite experience at their Fort Worth facility.
Lots of problems while my elderly mom was there for 3 nights in Hamon. Didnt give her medication once which resulted in her having to stay another night, didnt get her food to her, poor response from patient advocate when I called to provide feedback. If you have the luxury of staying with your elderly loved one while they are there, and advocating for them, I would recommend it. Otherwise, no way. DO NOT leave them there and rely on the nurse staff to take care of them. This used to be a really good hospital. I think the dr.s are still top notch, but I am not impressed with the nursing staff.
Surgery in March prior to cessation of elective surgeries across Dallas. The final bill ran at least 15% over the national average for the same surgery. Although it was a complex surgery it was the equivalent of same day surgery since I left the hospital before 5 PM the day of surgery. Of course they admit you to a room instead of remaining in recovery and then charge for 24 hrs. I requested am itemized list of charges but the charges on the bill I received were grouped categorically, not line-itemized making it difficult to question or refute any charges.
I am actually about to file suit on them myself. 2 visits and 2 huge screwups. First I went in April because I had aspirated and it caused pneumonia. I told them in the er that I had a bowel obstruction and my band had displaced its self from my weight loss surgery and I thought that caused the pneumonia. Well they treated me for a bladder infection too and after 2 days sent me home...Never not once even on my discharge papers tell me that they saw a compressed fracture of the L1. I did not find that out until I had moved a whole storage of appliances and could not walk without massive pain for weeks. When I went to my primary who is on that same system he told me what was in their report! They risked m e being paralyzed! I called the patient advocate (Ms Neal and she is Not a patient Advocate) she is a cold unfeeling machine. She shuffled paper around and told me that the DR told me in the ER that my back was hurt! When? After all the pain meds? Why not one word in my discharge papers? Why not confirm my obstruction and not risk my life there? Then 3 weeks after I get out of the hospital I get a call about my having septicemia (I did not have septicemia)The in June I started bleeding and had to be admitted to First Baptist for surgery. I had to stay 2 weeks because of the complications. When released to home I started an uncontrolable high blood pressure 110/200 and severe cramping and pain. I had to call an ambulance, the ambulance would not take me to my dr.hospital but to Presbytarian! The ER Dr treated me like a dope chaser, even though I still had stiches and drains hanging out from my surgery! For hours I lay there begging for relief, they did another catscan, left me in pain and my bloodpressure skyrocketing. And low and behold they found the blockage again! But not till I prayed for death from the pain! I finally got transfered to my Dr. Hospital and was relived of the pain immediately. This memory still leaves me shaking and terrified, to feel that close to death and no one would help. Plus they knew I had already had 2 strokes! If my obstruction had been taken care of when I went in April I would not have had the complications or even the bleeding. I still cant hardly eat because so much of my bowel was taken out and I have dumping syndrome at every meal. If anyone else has gone thru this please contact me about a joint lawsuit.
My husband was admitted to the ER last week. The ER doctors, nurses, and the staff was exceptional. He was transferred to Hammon 3rd floor ICU. The nurses, chaplains and support staff was exceptional. I only wish I could say the say about the ”hospitalist” doctors. They were very rude! In fact, one doctor told me I had to remove my husband from life-support more than once. He said ” your husband I consider dead and I need his bed for the living.Family and friends were there when he made this statement to me.He made a difficult situation unbearable.Cynthia
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I was sent here, due to me having my first anxiety and panic attack and didn’t feel comfortable at all. They gave me a prescription, I came back to my hometown and had my pharmacist call to get info., they told my pharmacist the doctor doesn’t work in the hospital anymore. I called Texas Health back to try to work things out and a staff member name Maria was VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. She yelled at me and hung up in my face. I will NEVER go back to this hospital again and they DEFINITELY need to get better staff members.
If I could give this review zero stars I would. Absolutely horrible place to come for care. My husband came in as a transfer from Kaufman Presby with large kidney stones that couldnt be passed. The nurses are rude and have horrible attitudes. The doctors dont want to communicate to where the plan has changed a million times and its not until its too late in the day to do something that they decide to tell anyone. Ive came multiple times to see my husband and they treat me like Im some random person off the street that shouldnt be there. Ive asked them what is being done and what is the plan and then I have to go through 5+ people to get an answer when Im on his forms as a contact and one of the only ones allowed to know his info! His room was left a mess as well with used IVs left on the table instead of properly disposed of plus used medicine bags left on the floor and window. They do not tend to him whatsoever unless with an attitude to where he wont say anything and just lay there and suffer. Needless to say we will not be returning ever again and will spread the word that this hospital is horrible and should be avoided at all costs.UPDATE: 2 surgeries later, sent home passing penny to half dollar sized blood clots, blood clots in the lungs, plus on oxygen. And the hospital has yet to comment on this review or contact me directly.
They are a hospital!!! Yet the way my daughter was handled I was not happy with!!! She was transported from another hospital for an emergency operation she had a tubal pregnancy and was bleeding internally!!! I am happy they did the surgery yet after we were told **nothing** as well as left in the waiting room 3 hours with no info... There was no one around to ask even what floor she was on... We finally found an extension number to call and they had no idea of her... We were put on hold and they finally found that she had been in a room and most of the staff that were present for the surgery was gone for the day!!! And we have been told the Drs wont be back until tomorrow... Im really upset we have no info on what has been done... She wanted something (a picture or something) of the baby yet they told her they couldnt give her anything and had to send the baby off for tests which I thought was supposed to be signed for by the mom!!! Yet she was under anesthesia and may not have been aware if they had her to sign anything!!! Smh...
I was dreading coming here to deliver after reading reviews but my experience was great. Had a respectful and attentive nurse while I was in labor. All the nurses and doctors Ive come in contact with are nice no attitude. Only dealt with 1 person who was kinda attitude n it was the anesthesia guy, but thats to be expected not everyone will be nice ect n thats anywhere u go. Room service was in daily taking trash, moping, n cleaning bathroom ect. No complaints here. Im on medicaid btw
I was there last night and my nurse named Tyler was so awesome!!! Perfect care that I needed. He gave my kids some little mini pillows and kept them comfortable as well as me and the Dr was just as great, I just cant remember his name but he was great!!! I hope my review reaches them because I would most definitely come back here for further care. The wait was pretty long but it was well worth it! Thank you so much!!!!😚😚😚💜💜💜💜💜
They admitted me to a room because they had concerns about my heart. When i told them i didnt have or could afford insurance even with a job they kicked me out the same day. The doctor didnt even come in the room to tell me. He called me on the hospital phone and said theyre releasing me. Didnt even have the decency to talk to me face to face. Like my life didnt matter. No compassion. I still dont know what is wrong with my heart.
ER visit for a hurt back. We didnt even need to sit down, got immediately in. Got good care, a good doctor, quick visit, didnt feel rushed, staff was extremely nice. There are 2 negatives about our visit, EVERYTHING else was positive:#1. ER location has valet parking *only*, which was kinda silly, especially since I had handicap plates and there was handicap parking *right there*. They didnt even end up moving my car from where I left it. Not a huge deal, but would have sucked to have my car towed because I took a bleeding baby in or something.#2. The rooms didnt feel super clean, but its an old hospital, and the ER rooms, so honestly I cant discount them for that.Oh, and I wouldnt say I loved our visit, it was a horrible ER thing, but it went better than most of my ER visits in the past.
Just had my first born there and I couldnt asked for a better place to have my baby!!! Didnt have no bad nurses, not one! I also had a great doctor! Great nurses and great doctor, now thats hard to find at a hospital. Everybody was so helpful and listened to what I wanted and needed. If I can have it my way I will have all my babies there! Thank you Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas for your excellent service and hospitality!
After my two hospital stays late last year and early this year, I would have given my experience five stars. I paid all of my bills as agreed immediately upon receipt. However, nearly a year later a bill from Texas Medical Resources LLP has been sent to collections in my name. This provider evidently serves in the Presbyterian ER and does not feel that they are obligated to bill their patients or even attempt to contact them at all before sending them to collections. I have attempted to contact the provider directly, and have attempted on multiple occasions to bring this to the attention of someone of authority at Texas Health Resources and Presbyterian Dallas directly with no luck. While I recognize that this is not directly the fault of Texas Health Presbyterian, the unethical billing practices of a physician group that represents your hospital needs to be addressed by someone. A quick scan of the Better Business Bureaus page for Texas Medical Resources LLP clearly shows that I am not the first of your patients this company has scammed in this same manner. Please take responsibility for what goes on in your facility.
Back in College in 2013 I snapped my arm playing club baseball for Baylor while sliding. A parent of my teammate took me here. Upon finding out I was uninsured I was treated inhumanely. No one in the staff wanted to answer any questions I had about the injury. I was in 10 out of 10 pain the whole time and it took them 2 days to finally give me surgery. They almost made me wait 1 more day but my mom complained. The surgeon was annoyed and said he will do it but be late for his dinner with a priest. I wasnt sure about the details of my surgery but I was left with a scar from the bottom of my shoulder all the way down to my elbow. I was in even more pain after and I was rushed out if the door as soon as I woke up. Even though I now have a good paying job with insurance I am weary of doctors due to my experience here.
Stayed here four days while my wife recovered from surgery. We stayed in the Harmon wing and the staff are absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable, patient, accommodating and SUPER friendly. So thankful to have this location for my wifes recovery. The food was even really good! I was also fascinated by the photos in the hallway about the history of the Hospital. It has changed a lot since I was born here back in 1972!
Do not come here and have a baby for one, I had to come here before I could get back on insurance, my son came 3 days after I moved back from Washington state. I had to see the OB on call, and had to have an emergency c-section. The OB I saw was Dr. Cohen, and basically gut me like a fish straight out of the lake. He cut me up and down, and I told him do not put staples in me because Im allergic and he told me that is impossible. Ive had 9 surgeries from the age of 14 to 23 and only had staples the first time bc I got an infection. So this time he put staples in my c-section and after I had them taken out my incision reopened and got Iman infection inside my uterus. Had to go back to the hospital, but chose to go to parkland. I was not going to be butchered again. Was at parkland for 3 days to fix what Dr. Cohen tried to destroy. If anyone else has been butchered by him let me know so we can get a class action lawsuit against him. The only thing good were the nurses and the food wasnt horrible. But the Dr.s are!!!
I’m here with my family waiting for my mother to get a room for four hours!! My mother had a scheduled surgery with scheduled inpatient dates. The surgery was completed at 3 pm and she had an hour within recovery and after that should’ve been in a room. Yet here my family waits at 715pm and my mother is still in the recovery room with no privacy or capability for us to see her because of limited space within recovery room. I never thought this would be an expierence to have to stress over but here I am wondering when I can see my mother almost 5 hours after back surgery. Worst experience ever and we have two more days of this place!!
My husband was admitted to the hospital more than 24 hours ago and we are STILL waiting to talk to ONE person with a plan or any information re course of treatment. He was admitted from the ER to a room exactly 24 hours ago. Since that time, no info re course of treatment, nothing. Walking the halls to see if there are actually doctors here... Nope. Normally, at a hospital, you’d see doctors walking up and down the halls, walking in and out of patient rooms, something. Here, I’m wondering if there ARE doctors. Seriously.. If so, where are they? Are they trapped in a room somewhere? Can I free them? This is INSANE. Literally thinking of killing time by polling the other patients on the floor to see who has been lucky enough to see a real doctor. That said, the nurses we’ve had have been great. They have done everything they can possibly do, without a doctor, to make the stay as smooth as possible. If only the nurses were in charge, I could give this facility a better rating. Unfortunately, even the nurses are at the mercy of waiting on a doctor to deem their calls/inquiries as important enough to warrant caring about someone else’s needs or questions. This has been my first and last visit to this hospital. Had I been the one in the bed, I would have already rolled myself out the door and down 75 to Baylor — even with that travel time, I’m sure I’d see a doctor sooner than I would waiting at this hospital.
I have given birth here, to my first child. I thought it would be good ideal cause they said its a great hospital to deliver at. So when I was deliver my first son here, other hospital takes baby pictures of your baby when they come so you keep your first baby picture. But this hospital didnt I had save up cause I thought they do it too. But I guess not so I never have that bundle of joy first baby picture when he came. Then one of the nurse who come in your room to pick up the trash she was so rude that she was making to much noise and she left my door open while I was breastfeed him. So my hubby didnt appreciate it at all he didnt like it at all so now he doesnt want to come here again cause we never had our first hospital baby picture and that nurse was rude.
I took my 81 year old father to this hospital because of him being confused and having a fall. His doctor instructed us to take him to this hospital and that the plan was to tweak his medications. I found the ER to be indifferent, messy. After 4 hours my dad was finally taken to a room upstairs. There was no plan to consult a neurologist as far as the hospital doctor was concerned. I had to insist. The neurologist was pleasant, caring. But hospital doctor was rude, his appearance was sloppy and he was unprofessional. I was told by the neurologist that it may take 3 days to a week for my dads confusion to resolve. After 2 days the hospital doctor wanted to discharge him. I was told on day 3 that my dad was discharged. He was still confused. During this 3 days I was working to get my dad placed in a safe memory care unit or some place other than home but was still in the process of finding a place for him. I found the social worker to be unhelpful. They would not work with me to secure a place for him before discharge. And maybe thats not their job. But I found the doctor to be terrible to communicate with. I always thought this was a good hospital because its part of the THR system. But this doctor represents them and that means that they are unprofessional and uncaring. At least require your doctors to dress in a professional manner and require them to have good communication skills.
Updating to 3 stars because our delivery doctor and nurses were amazing! They deserve 5 stars so it averages out to 3. Heres our review for them.We decided to write an updated review specifically for having our first child here. The 5 stars are not for their billing and insurance department but for the doctors and nurses. Before delivery we spent 1 night here and had a few nurses, all who were amazing and wed go back. Dr Light is also an exceptional doctor and glad we chose her. After delivery we stayed in one of the suites. 2/3 nurses were great, particularly 1 (older lady) who we wish came with our daughter. The 2 were great listeners then providing answers and instructions. My wife really appreciated how they addressed her needs instead of just telling her what to do, like the 3rd nurse, who often confused me too. We were tired and you could tell which nurses had been through it before themselves. The 3rd nurse who was more of a Type A personality was also helpful but could use more listening and less talking, or at least listen first then talk.1 star for the below:SCAM ALERT! We had our baby here because theyre in-network, but we found out after that their infant hearing test physician from Hearing Screening Associates is out-of-network. State law requires that it is done but they didnt tell us our options. We wouldve picked an in-network physician. She came in the day after our baby girl was born to do the test and should have stated then that she was out-of-network. We then got a bill for $265.63. This is after the thousands we pay each month to UHC. Having a baby is expensive, and cost even more when the hospital isnt honest and transparent upfront. Can you imagine if the anesthesiologist, that you dont get to pick, ends up being out-of-network? Or any other doctor you end up needing to see during your stay? From UHC:The facilities usually have physicians affiliated who are not contracted with United Healthcare. You may verify this information with the facility.John, the physician and facility have different contract, the physician is not contracted with united healthcare whereas the facility is contracted.Whose fault is this? Sounds like a scam between the hospital, physician and UHC.
I was there in the ER yesterday. I was hardly able to articulate, shaking and with a migraine. The inital sweet nurses that helped me out of the car and go to another for triage were great. However, the male nurse that took my vitals almost broke my arm getting it out of my coat, was abrupt and just rude. Another male attendant that took me to a bed was kind. However, the male paramedics that took my oxygen levels and started an IV were just crass. No bedside manner whatsoever. The first was upset as he couldnt get a finger to get oxygen on due to me wearing artificial nails. I had to tell him to use one without a design. He finally got it but was no nicer. The one that did the IV was rough and yelled at me to put my arm up while he was trying to put the blood pressure cuff on. The CT tech that came to get me was just precious and kind though. Those assisting her in the room were decent as well and wished me well. My two nurses were also darling, Doneiecea and Melissa. It was busy back there, but I heard them deal with each patient behind a partition with paticences and kindness. My doctor was nice as well and another kind young man that just came to see if my mom and I needed anything. The other staff could use a lesson in kindness from these dear souls. The rude care overshadowed the good though especially when feeling poorly. Ive experienced poor service here in the past but only went back as my primary care physician is associated with the hospital system. However, I dont think Ill return nor recommended others to visit. Sad, this hospital used to be much better. It is heartbreaking.
This was probably the worst hospital experience ever. Not only do the rooms look like you are in prison, the doctors are even worse. They do not communicate with each other, and they are more concerned with patient turnover than the actual patient’s wellbeing.Do not come here if you want top notch care. The nurses can barely count to six to let you know when your medication is due.The doctors are condescending and have the worst bed manner. Again, they could careless for a patients well being. The staff doesn’t even look like they want to be there.Avoid at all costs.
I dont know what happened to my review so I guess Ill write another one. I went into this hospital last year for a kidney stone. Was writhing and pain, but it still took an hour to get any sort of pain medication. The nurse actually brought it in and set it by my bed as Im crying and squirming and proceeded to fill out paperwork instead of giving it to me. Another nurse happened to walk in and took one look at me and then the meds on the table and immediately administered the meds (thank you). They did a scan to confirm a kidney stone and then completely left out the fact that there was one on the other side too!! Was very surprised two months later to find myself in a different ER at 1 am (that was much friendlier, administered treatment much faster, and charged a significant amount less that starts with a B...) No warning what so ever. Second hospital visit completely avoidable by just giving your patient the information. After we were done they discharged me and I asked to wait in the room for the 20 minutes it was going to take my ride to pick me up at 4 am. Refused to let me stay in the room and kicked me into the waiting room. For my less than 4 hour visit and borderline torture I was charged thousands of dollars WITH insurance. Thanks for nothing.
Yesterday took my daughter because shes pregnant they done a ultrasound and told her she had a abnormal pregnancy and the doctor wanted to give her injection because they were saying couldnt see the ssc or yoke in ultrasound and that she had a miscarriage told them she was not getting injection that we were getting a second opinion. They never put my daughter in a room we were in the waiting room for about 6 hours. So I took her to medical city of plano and they told my daughter that she was 5 weeks pregnant and baby and her are fine.
Im 6 weeks pregnant and I had a horrible UTI. Got admitted Thursday and just got out today. Every one was super nice and caring. I love this hospital. Wonderful care and customer service. Wish I could have my baby here!!! Thanks guys!!!! Keep up the good work nurses and techs.
This hospital is the example of how to run a business and treat people. Over this last Saturday morning at 8AM to Sunday afternoon we had to go to the emergency room 3 time for our 10 month old daughter. As I have learned, anything that involves your child makes the world stop. Our daughter, after blood draws, x-rays and other tests turned out to have a blood bacteria infection. A pretty rough one. We thought we were loosing her Saturday afternoon. I have been in the emergency services field for ten years and consider myself pretty good at handling my emotions. Well when I was watching my 10 month old begin to stop crying, stop moving, and stare off in to space I went in to super daddy EMT mode. When we arrived for this, our second visit of the weekend so far the staff could tell right away it was serious. They wasted no time getting her vitals checked and drugs moving. Our first visit to our third visit Sunday was handled with great professionalism and kindness from everyone from the valet at the ER to the nurses and doctors to the X-Ray tech to the man getting sheets for rooms. We had so many nurses and three doctors over the three visits I dont want to miss a name. They all were wonderful. The people leaving the ER were almost all happy with the service they had. We had time to chat while waiting for valet. Which is another wonderful thing Presby has done. Two of the three visits parking the car and carrying bags was just going to slow us down. The valet service was fast to get us a ticket and let us be on our way. If anyone in admin at the hospital reads this he needs a raise and at least one assistant. He worked his butt off out there non stop. I dont know his name but he had glasses and curly hair. When we arrived rapidly, to say the least, to the rear ER doors he could tell something was wrong. He had the car doors open and a wheel chair waiting. We did not need to chair but the fact he was ready to get things done fast was great! He looked at me and said here is your ticket I got things from here. He even went to the car and brought it back just so my wife could get our backpacks with chargers and stuff after things had stabilized with our daughter. All together being on the other side of the emergency I am so grateful to have a hospital that is clearly a family and so wonderful to have in your moment of crisis when your world is crashing fast. In my opinion if you are in Dallas and looking for your hospital home Presbyterian on Walnut Hill is amazing!
I found this hospital to be super accommodating and the staff was genuinely nice and seemed to actually love their jobs. Its hard to find now a days.. I was at 5 different hospitals/clinics before finally having a proper diagnosis and treatment for a severe infection in my eye which could have been worse if I was not timely taken care of. Much recommended hospital.
Nurse nice, doctor nice but very little contact. Sat in the waiting room with iv in arm. Barely spoke to dr. Horrible experience. Went home not knowing much more than when I went in, and still in pain. Never againEDIT ON JULY 30Just spoke to the hospital based on this review. Had a lovely conversation, I am left believing my comments will have some bearing on changes in the process. Thank you, for taking the time to contact me, and for having an open conversation.I have hope that things will improve!!!
Unfortunately the paramedics had to bring my dad here after his accident at work where he broke his leg. The nurses are Rude and don’t want to be bothered for anything. My dad is in pain and asked for a pain medicine all they said was ok and didn’t bring it. This has been the worst Hospital I’ve ever been to. I really want to transfer him to another hospital but I can’t even find the doctor or know which doctor to ask any information. Please DO NOT COME HERE! If you care for your loved ones take them somewhere else where they’ll actually get treated good and cared for.
I needed to go to the ER. I couldn’t have asked for better care as soon as I walked in the door. Caspar checked me in quickly and handled all of the paperwork efficiently and very friendly. Aaron R was thoughtful enough to insert my IV needle where I could still read while waiting. Cynthia was a very kind, caring, and empathetic nurse that took care of my needs for most of the day. Dr Trejo managed to get me examined quickly and, after all of the tests, answered all of my questions. If you have to spend a day st the hospital, these are the type people you’d want caring for you!
Let me first say it makes me sad to write this review. I had my daughter at Presbyterian in Plano and I swear it was an excellent experience. Now I went to the Dallas location; I came into the Emergency Room Early this Morning around 2 A.M. yesterday. I came in for extreme pain in my jaw area, now I do have some issues in my mouth already but I came in for my pain and where it was located. I was really concerned and in horrible pain. The nurses who I first spoke with were super sweet and helped me instantly. I went through the sign in process really quick and was put in a room. This is where my problem started, I had a different nurse name Cyndi. My husband and I were trying to explain a little bit about the pain and what I am going through. Cyndi had a little bit of an attitude and honestly seemed like she didnt care. Thank goodness she was only there for a few minutes until the doctor came in. Again I did come in for pain and the location of my pain is what was concerning. Everything I was concerned about was not answered or helped. Cyndi came back in and for about 20 mins was talking to my husband and I about how she herself had teeth problems and all she did was get them pulled. I was getting belittled every moment I spoke. She kept telling me she knows how andto fix the problem with her teeth and kept pushing my concerns to the side. I barely got to talk so my husband started asking questions. Even his questions were not answered. before leaving, Cyndi brought medicine for me. NEVER TOLD ME WHAT IT WAS. I did know it was pain medicine but had no idea the name. After I was told that I was in the ER for a toothache and sent home with a perscription. I went home crying still in the same pain I was in coming into the ER. Everything was worse!
All the Staff at This Hospital are Amazing, Everyone Treats you and their Family Members with Respect and Help Anyway they Can😊👍Dr. Pool did a Amazing Heart Surgery on My Husband Jesse, I would Highly Recommend Him for any Heart Surgery 👍The Nurses are Awesome and the rest of the staff as well😊❤️👍 So far,.... This Is the Best Hospital I’ve ever been to❤️Thank God for such a Amazing Group of People 🙏😊
I just one to say that I never write reviews but I always look at them. Listen I went in the ER with pain at another hospital, they sent me home. I continued to have pain so I decided to to go to Presby of Dallas. Presbyterian admitted me in the hospital and took great care of me. This hospital actually cares about there patients and I wasn’t just a number. Presbyterian of Dallas I thank you for ur hospitality and care that you have given me.Sincerely,Marcia Blake
I and my husband have been going to Presbyterian for the last 8 years. The first couple of years the care was wonderful. Over the last couple of years the care has become terrible, and i feel it is in part due to the hospitalist. I was admitted with severe breathing difficulties (gasping for air), I have had several heart attacks in the past, and when he found out I had no insurance he discharged me prematurely. Right as I was supposed to get my last breathing treatment before leaving he cut it off on the respiratory therapists computer, so I didnt get it. Over the years he has repeatedly tried to sell me and my husband a c-pap machine. My husband is in and out of the hospital frequently for terminal cancer so that is really a mute point, and it is apparent that his bottom line is the almighty dollar. When I was there and he cut me off, the nurse was disgusted with the hospitalist said he does this sort of thing all the time. She could not believe I was sent home in about the same condition as when I arrived. I did get two prescriptions from him I couldnt afford. Im sure he doesnt want me frequenting Presby since I have no insurance so it is no love lost with him, but my husband has very good insurance and Presby has made $millions off his insurance. When I left the hospital the last time I was treated so condescendingly by this man I felt like I didnt deserve to live, and it was mainly by the way this man treated me, or rather, failed to treat me.
Very unprofessional and rude. A nurse and the receptionist were arguing while checking my blood pressure and the wait was EXTREMELY LONG. 9/25/18Last week I was transported here from Baylor and my stay was unpleasant the nurses didn’t show any sympathy, I had to keep getting out of my bed when I needed something I was shot in my upper torso nurses barely came by to check on me on top of that they didn’t give me discharge papers or explain to me how to properly care for my wound I had a really horrible experience especially with the trauma I was going through I don’t recommend Presbyterian.
My experience was only brief with the main hospital for surgery, which went very well. The hospital staff were all very professional and courteous. All of the Drs I have seen in the professional buildings are fantastic. Dr. Ragle (primary care), Dr. Dressel, Dr. Jain were all great!!! Very professional and great at explaining all the details of what was going on.I noticed negative reviews about the ER which I can not attest to. I have worked in an ER in the past and from walking through this one, it looked clean and organized. The staff again, were nice enough in passing. Keep in mind when people are stressed or in pain, they can react without thinking or have a negative experience with very little actually going wrong.
I went to the ER for severe headache and numbness in the face and hands. I have to wait in the waiting room for 5 hours just to be sent home with antibiotics and diagnosed with a sinus infection. Thank God i went to a different hospital to get a second opinion and turns out I had several strokes back to back. The on call Dr on duty didn’t listen to any of my concerns and pretty much rushed us out of there and as a result I’m still in ICU and partially paralyzed on one side due to the negligence of your ER staff and their unconcern.
I was recently involved in a personal injury and was sent to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. The entire hospital staff did a fantastic job of taking care of me and my visiting family. In addition, they kept me well informed and provided me with physical and occupational therapy to help me through my injury. I never felt JUST another patient. Thank you!
Best hospital in Dallas! Well at least for having a baby and ER visits . The doctors were so nice and always answered all my questions n concerns.I came back to the ER place is so clean. They get you in fast and professional. The way a hospital should carry themselves. Best all around
To Presby Dallas L&D Department. On December 2016 I went in critical at 36wks by ambulance. Going in with the worst pain ever and to know I almost gave up on life to make matters worse I was notified my baby girl passed away on my way to the hospital. Words and expressions can not explain how Thankful I am of how much care, love and strength and prayers I received from the Nurses. My heart was broken into million of pieces but Jennifer, Liv and Melinda were awesome & caring to me. I am grateful I had them as my Nurses. Dont get me wrong the whole staff were so kind also and made sure I was holding on like a big warrior should. Carol you have a good team and I wouldnt have chosen a better hospital. After many months I have gained my happy self again and will be by to Thank each and everyone of the staff in person. I have a beautiful angel in heaven and the staff made sure I was able to hold her and cherish her the days I could. Once again Thank You L&D nurses!!!! Love, Mariana A
My uncle was treated like a king before he passed away all the way to his last breath, they gave him full honors for being in the military. Ive never seen that before in a hospital setting ever, i live in San Antonio & i would recommend this hospital to anyone, i felt So honored to be part of the Military Tradition they showed to my uncle, it was unbelievable i Wont forget that No time soon.God Bless All that was part of my uncles care & All that is still there helping others in need. 🙏🙏Thank you!!
I had to have an emergency procedure here back in January and things couldnt have gone more smoothly. I was incredibly sick and worried for my life, but every nurse and doctor and other staff member made the experience go far better than I expected. For all those who gave this place negative reviews regarding the ebola scare--theres a reason why the disease was handled here and not elsewhere. I highly recommend this hospital.
I have been coming to this hospital for two years now and love it. I had my daughter there in January of last year and am expecting my son June 23rd of this year. My ob is Dr. Felicia Tillman and she is a really sweet, caring doctor. Her staff are really nice and friendly and they have no problem with my 15 month old coming to every prenatal checkup. They take her to play and they love having her around. I did have a problem with a few of the nurses after I gave birth to my daughter last year so thats why I am giving a 4 star rating. I had to have my daughter a month early because I had preeclampsia at 36 weeks and had to stay for 6 days after her birth so I could be monitored and get my blood pressure under control. One of the nurses was very aggresive with my daughter, had an extremely bad attitude and treated me with no respect. I was struggling with my milk supply and strictly wanted to breastfeed my daughter. She didnt want to help me understand what I needed to do to help my milk supply come in or introduce me to alternative feeding methods. I was extremely upset and once we called for the head nurse her attitude got a lot better. The other nurses were so sweet and kind to me. They adored my daughter and helped me in any way possible. They made sure I had rest and was well fed and taken care of. The lactation consultants at the hospital were fantastic with me and worked wirh me until I left with my daughter. They came back every time she needed to be fed and helped teach both me and my husband how to properly nurse her. Im looking forward to having my son there with Dr.Tillman and just hope I dont cross any rude, non-caring nurses.
Because of my unfortunate change of my insurance, I had to return to this dreadful ER. I havent been here in 15 years for this very reason. They have kept me hostage, not given me any medication, and not have done anything to help me feel better. All I needed for some nausea medicine, pain medicine and something to help my itching after my seizures. This has become and is still the worst ER besides Medical city in DALLAS! DO NOT come UNLESS you like to donate to the Presbyterian ER unattended fund. The nurses stand outside your door and talk about you but do not help. I was there for 12 hours with no pillow under my head and no treatment.Go to Advanced ER on Inwood. They are the best ER in Dallas. And if theyre not able to take care of you there, they will send you to a Room at a specific hospital and get your care. The payment is the same but you get personal attention from the doctor and the nurses and the techs.
The staff at the ER was fine. I was admitted for pancreatitis. I was left in the room for an hour and half before being seen by anyone. I was given no pain mess nor an IV. I rang the nurses station twice and no one came. Eventually I had my husband call the charge nurse from home and someone came. Through my first day here (yes, I am still in the hospital as I write this), when I asked for pain meds, someone would show up an hour later with pain meds. Pancreatitis is extremely painful. I was left without an IV for several ours my second day. And Im not allowed to eat or drink for gut rest. So my IV is my only fluid. This continued through the night. I spent my first 24 hours here in tears because of pain and being basically ignored. Second day continued the same, being ignored. Calling for someone and a nurse showing up and hour later. I will say the nicest people consistently have been the patient care technicians. My doctor eventually put me on a PCA for pain. That helped control the pain. But forgetful nurses seems to be a theme. Then I had a case worker come in today that insulted me, too personal to post here. I told the head nurse so assuming that was taken care of. Im on my third night here. I needed tape for my IV and again , that was forgotten. I shall see how the rest of my stay goes. But one thing I know for certain, I will not be back to Presbyterian Dallas ever again. And Im even a repeat customer.I had a three of my kids here. Very bad experience.
Great hospital! Staff is very friendly, professional, responsive and attentive and goes out of its way to answer questions, explain procedures, and make sure patient is comfortable as well as informed. Was in hospital for cardiac procedure and found entire staff -- all shifts -- to be first class professionals.
If I could rate this facility a 0 I would... My daughter was hospitalized and her belongings were taken from her. They stated they had no intent on reimbursing her for what was taken from her in their facility... They stated its in the patient handbook that Its the patients responsibility to keep to their belongings however she was never given a patient handbook nor was she offered to lock her belongings up... This is not acceptable and I would suggest never go to this facility without a loved one
Ive gone to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas over the last forty-two years. It is one of the finest hospitals around and I have always had wonderful care. If I need surgery in the future it will be at Presbyterian Dallas...I wouldnt go anywhere else. My family has always felt the same way and received excellent care each time weve been admitted. In our opinion, its the best hospital around.
I recently had to go to the ER at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and got admitted. It was an out of network situation since I was visiting Dallas and got sick. My insurance paid 70% of billed charges which is an incredible rate in today’s healthcare world. They are balance billing for 100% of charges. This is absolutely wrong. In addition, the last 24 hours of the stay was due to a piece of malfunctioning equipment. They have charged for that portion of the stay as well. I also find it interesting that the medical records do not reflect this issue.
So the wait time was low and we were seen right away only to be ejected. I understand not wanting to treat someone that may have a viral or bacterial infection, but being so utterly dismissive was extremely poor. After all contagions in a heart facility is dangerous. The doctor seem completely unknowledgeable, the nurses bed side Manor was poor and the bed was about 6 inches too short and Im only 6 ft tall.If I could give this place negative stars I would.
Had the worst service in Labor & Delivery and the E.R. today. I will never come back again. I got treated like crap. Im 30 weeks pregnant & considered high risk. They diagnosed me with pneumonia & forgot to give me antibiotics through IV. The staff needs to communicate with each other, treat every patient with respect & give quality care.
Krista the RN front desk of the emergency room was rude and very impatient with me. She ignored me when I was asking about my family member that was just admitted. Forthem to act so uncaring and nonchalant just goes to show this hospital is terrible and the staff definitely reflects that.Dont come here for any help you will get more of a headache than the help you need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!
My father has stayed here twice & both stays were absolutely ridiculous! My father received horrible care on the 4th floor in the main hospital. The staff werent even washing his face. They were argumentative & unwilling to fix the numerous issues we experienced. I was in my fathers room 5 minutes & noticed he was struggling for every breath. I immediately asked for a respiratory therapist which when she came she immediately put my father on oxygen. DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONE STAY IN THIS HOSPITAL OVERNIGHT WITHOUT SOMEONE STAYING WITH THEM! I am in the process of having him transferred to another hospital, we will NEVER return!
This has been the worst hospital experience I have had to endure and I have only been here 10 hours. This is the first time I have ever had to argue with a nurse (nurse Rosie) to administer the proper medication but was told it was shift change and his new nurse will give it to him! I had to almost beg her to give my loved one their meds and waiting patiently for an hour. The new nurse gave him his medication but asked us why his IV fluids werent adminstered in the 12 hours prior to her arriving to his room. It is 4:27 pm on 5-22-2018...I am left in the dark on the course of action the staff is taking. No one is giving me answers and Im about to lose it with this place. These rooms are obsolete. The general ambience of the hospital feels obselete and negligent.
I was rear ended last Thursday morning and ended up here by lunch due to the pain on my back from the impact. I have been to the E/R a few times when my little ones have that scary fever but this was my first time here at this E/R (getting seen for myself) and I just want to recommend everyone here. Here I was thinking I was going to be here a good 2+ hours but I was in and out within the hour! The level of service I received was beyond 5 stars!! I honestly felt like I was well taken care of and my needs were beyond met. I wish I could give a shout out to the staff I interacted with but I was not feeling my best and if they do read this I just want to say Thank you for what you do and for making me feel good when I was feeling very sh*tty.
All the staff is great in the ER but the ER doctor I had was the worst Ive ever seen, I wouldnt go to this hospital again if my life depended on it, and it did, I was released AMA on a blank piece of paper, nothing filled out, just my signature, I asked the nurse why nothing is checked or filled out or even dated ? She said she would fill it out later, your just a number or a statistic at Presbyterian nothing else, this could be a very long statement but No one cares, so no sense in going into the real details !Robert Powell
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is an ok hospital. They admitted my father and they released him as fast as they could, I had to ask several times for my father to be watched because his oxygen was dipping down in mid 80s and still no oxygen. I had to bring him back the same day they released him. Was told bringing him back to Michigan to get him better healthcare by a doctor that was treating my father was absolutely crazy to hear, needless to say I took his advice and it seems to have worked out for the best.
The patient representative, Theresa Neal, cut off communication with my sister after my mother had open-heart surgery without explanation, after my sister had been appointed next of kin and had already signed hospital forms on our mothers behalf. Then she had my sister and her three young kids escorted out of the hospital by police without explanation. Ive contacted the staff all the way up to CEO Jim Berg and still our family has not received an explanation or an apology for their behavior and mistreatment of my family.
I had my son at this hospital and my experience there wasnt a very good one. While giving birth my last nurse was very rude because of my wonderful epidural i wasnt able 2 move my lower half properly but my wonderful nurse b4 her moved turn me on my side with no problem. Long story short there was a shift change and this new nurse came in w a attitude. She pretty much said she wasnt gonna move me and instead of getting my husband to help whom was standing there ready she called and asked for someone. She gave a fonky attitude plus more... I got over it because my bundle of joy came in this 🌎. I wont say everything because ITS ALOT THAT HAPPENED.. But what i really didnt like is how the nurse i had later and this lady i believe was a social worker implied that i was on MedicaId(hell i wish i could get it).. My thing was y do i look like im on MedicaId?? Because im black?? The nurse even looked funny when MY HUSBAND came in after work. He went 2 work the morning so she didnt see him but he slept there EVERY NIGHT. She said something w a surprised look on her face.. Wont ever forget how i felt and treated at that hospital. Me and my husband work 2 damn hard 2 fall in a category that we fight so hard not 2 b a part of. Nothing against anyone on MedicaId but for them 2 ruin a precious moment that i wont ever have again because of what i look like kills me. I am 32 yo and my son is my 1st and only child.. Thought i would share since i just realized while looking at apt how important a review can b. I wont ever b a patient of any kind at this hospital. Gave an extra star because i had 2 great nurses that deserve it. Wish i remember their names
My cell phone was stolen by a nurse in H3S ICU on August 7. I was alone and incoherent when taken to ICU. My valuables should have been taken to security. Manager Jenna Hermann said there would be a policy change, and she thought I could be reimbursed. However, Patient Advocate Theresa Neal was rude and not helpful, saying I couldnt be reimbursed because no nurse had seen my cell phone. When I named one, she said I still couldt be reimbursed.
In 2002 I had my son there, he was 15 weeks early weighing 1lb 14oz.From the moment I entered into the emergency room to the moment I was discharged, leaving my son in the NICU was very difficult but in the 93 days he was there I always felt he was in good hands. The NICU doctors and nurses (especially the nurses) were very dedicated and passionate, not only taking care of those precious little ones but also being a source of support for the families.Today my son is a healthy strong 14 year old and will always know his primary nurse.
Both my sister and I were assaulted in the elevator at Presby Dallas by an employee of a doctors office on January 10, 2019 around 08:30 AM. When we tried to get assistance from the Hospital, they tried to cover up the incident and attempted to threaten and scare us into not filing a complaint /report so that their Hospital would not be implicated for patient safety by not having cameras in the elevators, where anything could and did happen to unsuspecting and vulnerable patients and their family members/visitor(s). I contacted everyone from HR, Security, the Presidents Office, as well as Patient Advocacy to get some assistance and even the Risk Manager were all very haughty and stated that they would not assist us. We had pictures of our assailant and to this day, they never did anything but threaten us. I would be very careful entering this building because if you do succumb to violence, the facility who prides itself supposedly on patient safety will wash their hands of any complaints and try to demonize the victims. It is unbelievable that hate crimes are condoned there, as after our attacker assaulted both my sibling and I, she proceeded to tell us to Go back to your country. We made mention of all details including obtaining pictures of our assailant and all that THR did was punish us for proactively reporting the incident. I would like answers from this facility, but they continue to deny that Security threatened us, however we have recordings to state otherwise :) Never believe this Hospital, as they only care about their bottom-line. It makes me uncomfortable and I have PTSD coming back to the place we were assaulted. To add insult to injury, they are billing us for our injuries and refuse to remove them in spite of evidence provided to support our claim.
Terrible hospital (The ER anyway) they assume youre there for drugs rather than medical care. The doctors and nurses are rude and have terrible bedside manners . Id rather be seen at Parkland hospital and if youve ever been to parkland you know thats bad.Treats patients like cattle rather than a person. The doctors have awful bedside manners, male nurse offered no privacy and I had to ask him to either pull the curtain or close the door. No call light was offered nor did I see one. Patient Advocate was terrible as well.Nurse walking through the halls says Ebola, ebola, ebola was the final straw that broke the camels back. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL TO ANY OTHER THAN MY WORSE ENEMIES...their on the same scale as Baylor...NO GOOD!! STAY AWAY!
My husband and I have been here for a week with a couple more to go. Nursing staff has been wonderful especially Rebecca and Elvis. Doctors have been up front and caring. But.... staff that serves meals in cafeteria, Chick-fil-A and food shop at front door is sad. Burnt chicken patties (twice) cashier who was upset and complaining because she wasn’t suppose to be there made me drop my oatmeal- told me she didn’t have a towel, couldn’t help me clean up and I would have to pay for another bowl if I wanted one.(????) Some of the cafeteria staff who serve are to busy talking to each or playing around- made me feel on several occasions that I was a bother.I don’t usually complain but today was the end for me over my oatmeal!!!!!I will be here for a couple of more weeks and will not be wasting my money or allowing my stress level to rise eating here.I wanted to let you know!
Great ob/Gyn,I was rushed into the delivery and labor at 5 months pregnant, the receptionist at admissions was beyond unprofessional, she did not care about my complaint at all, nor about my health,The emergency nurses only listen to what they want to hear and to what is convenient to them.My last visit the nurse that attended me asked me a question about he last visit and informed me of an information was true about**4 false documentation**
Everything about this hospital is WONDERFUL! My dad was transferred there after he suffered a severe heart attack and the entire staff was amazing. Everyone was so genuinely concerned about him and did everything they could to make sure he was comfortable. His stint procedure was successful and he was home after 3 days. I highly recommend this hospital.
DO NOT GO TO THE HOSPITAL -EVEN IN ER SITUATIONSIts been over a year since this 15K was placed on my report due to a network/ non contract issue between Presbyterian Dallas and my insurance company . This hospital stay was approved for treatment but I was balanced billed for the total billed charge after insurance paid. I called my carrier and was told that if they kept the insurance payment , then they shouldnt have billed me for the difference. Or if they disagreed with the amount the claim should have been appealed for non contract rate. I explained this to the billing manager and was told that their office do not appeal claim, and the responsibility falls on the sick patient...I was rushed to this hospital in an ER situation, hospitalized and had surgery, all within a 24 hour period. I was billed over 20K, My carrier paid 5K for this claim based on what was deemed as fair and reasonable and I was responsible for 500.00 (According to my EOB from the carrier) A year later I received a bill from an outside collection agency stating that I owe 15K but they will accept a settlement rate of 4K. I then call my carrier and was told that Presbyterian Dallas was not supposed to balance bill me because this was a true ER and the hospital was paid in full based on UCR. I called and spoke with the business manager Donnna Wade and she was rude and unsympathetic. She told me that they will not fight the carrier for additional payment and that they do not appeal claims if they can bill the patients.I am a full-time student , unemployed and will be forced to start my life off with a 15K collection account on my credit report just because I happened to Dallas Presbyterian Hospital happened to be the closes hospital to save my life.
My internist sent the information for pre-registration two weeks ago. When I arrived for to check in, they could find no records or my MDs instructions. The registration staff person coded my admission as a one day observation rather than 3 days ordered by my doctor. The hospitalist did not listen but simply tried to order unnecessary tests and services and recommended a two week PT session at Jackson which I declined. After I insisted that I be discharged immediately at 2PM,it wasnt executed until 4PM. Since the hospitalist had graduated from a mediocre medical school, this could be expected. It is a beautiful facility inadequately staffed, particularly at night when pain meds were required. I would not recommend this hospital since it has declined significantly in the last five years.
Went there Sunday. They released me with extremely high blood pressure and didnt give me a breathing treatment. Told me I had a common cold. I went later that night to a different hospital and they tested me positive for the flu.The doctor sat in the corner with a Nurse talking about their relations 10mins before he decided to come see me. I thought he was a nurse at 1st. The only good thing was the fellow who did my xray. He made me laugh.
I spent 27 hours in the ER without medication. I received 2 sandwiches while waiting for some resolve. I had to literally check myself out, and was told to promptly leave my ER room hell! If you have any emotional issues please consider another avenue, because according to them, they have no control of your fate! There is need for reply to this post. You folks have lost all my faith in Presbyterian hospital.
Went to the Maternity Tour hosted by LINDA and it was the WORST EXPERIENCE. No compassion, lack of excitement etc. Glad she doesn’t work in the labor and delivery floor. The whole time she made the experience horrible everything word that came out of her mouth is “ You don’t get this you don’t get that you don’t etc. like the entire time”What the hell do we get ... she only advertise what we don’t get and how small our rooms will be.Like that’s for the Great experience.Sadly we wasn’t the only ones who felt like that.
I went to the ER with the worst headache of my life. My doctor suspected a csf leak and told me to go to the ER. Dr. Ho examined me for 1 min and diagnosed me with a cold. Claimed I had fluid in my ears, which wasnt true and totally dismissed me. Didnt let me talk and tried to get me out of there ASAP. I had to go to another hospital to get proper treatment. Please dont go to Texas health Presbyterian, youre better off going to Parkland. Wont make the mistake of going to Texas health again.
This whole hospital is full of it!!!!! The emergency room is ran how they feel it should be ran! Im not one to speak on race or feel like Im be discriminated against but Ive been here since 2pm and it is now 5pm. There was little to NO people in the waiting area when I arrived! I tried giving them a chance but when I asked how long was my wait and she told me that there was two people before me and others here longer than me really pushed me over! Every person that was taken before me or examined before me was all CAUCASIAN who showed no signs of an emergency other than the FLU! The rude nurse and who ever the other woman was is also CAUCASIAN! I am 10 weeks pregnant with pain and bleeding but apparently Im not priority or in an emergency given that they wanted to see me IN the waiting area! They need to give a course in patient care and how to empathize with the people that they come in contact with through the ER! Do not get me started in the obgyn they refered me to! If I could give ZERO stars I certainly would!
I wish I could give this place no stars! I understand needing to follow HIPPA laws, I went to nursing school and massage therapy school; however, I have not heard from my brother since 1 am and I was told that he was getting transferred here. I know that the department he was sent to takes your phone away. I called to verify that his ambulance got there, not about his treatment at all, just verifying that my brother is safe. They told me they cannot confirm or deny if he even has ever been a patient there, but that they would take down my information and have him give me a call if he is there. Okay fine, makes me feel a little better. My mom called as well because she is states away and didnt know that I already had, they told her the same thing. Both of these phone calls were at 9am. At 2:30 my mom called back because she has still not heard from her son and now she is starting to worry again. The gentleman told her that in this department they are not allowed to make calls until 4pm, wouldve been nice to know at 9am when we originally called. I called the ER that I had originally brought my brother to (which is a FABULOUS place, Advance ER off inwood) the lady there automatically noticed that I was the emergency contact person for my brother and promptly told me that she knows that he did in fact get transferred and so I should wait for his call. *breathe* Before I could call my parents and let them know, my father calls the hospital to see if there were any updates, the lady who answered the phone was very rude and told him straight up that my brother has never been a patient there and hangs up the phone. I call back just to ask if they allow visitors in this department (I do not specify who I would like to visit since I know weve called a few times, again just because at this point we have no idea where my brother is and we are all freaking out.) I simply ask my question and I am told no and before I can even muster out a sound the lady (Evelyn) hangs up on me! My brother is hopefully there, in a place where people are supposed to be helping make him feel better and they are the RUDEST people. Being in the medical field it means that you have to understand that the people you are dealing with on a day to day basis are feeling lost and uncertain, they are scared, and a loved one is in pain, this is no way to treat someone who is in that situation. I still have no idea if my brother is even there or not, nor would I know where he is if hes not there since the other ER told me he without a doubt should be there since they transported him themselves and have the documentation. I NEED TO FIND MY BROTHER, I just want to know that he is okay and safe. I dont need to know what treatments you are doing or what he is saying, I just need to know that he is there and alive.
Someone I know had a simple surgery and they ended up keeping her in the hospital for a month. The physicians kept giving weak answers as to why they were keeping her in the hospital, and then when her insurance ran out they decided to discharge her and said she was good enough to go home, even though her health did not improve at all compared to the previous week at which time she was too sick to go home.
We had the most amazing experience delivering our first baby at THR Dallas. I was hospitalized for 6 days total and spent time on the antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum floors. Every single nurse, doctor, patient care tech and staff in general were absolutely incredible. Both my daughter and I were taken care of so completely and professionally and I felt as though the staff were genuinely concerned about our health and well-being. I could go on forever but I’ll just leave with this, choosing to deliver a baby at THR Dallas will be a decision you will absolutely not regret!
Presbyterian Hospital has been my hospital since birth. My family and I have all been cared for by the wonderful staff for many years. Ive had to visit the ER, stay to be monitored (Hamon), and Ive been directly involved with my family who has been hospitalized. Weve never received anything less than the best of care. Special shoutouts to the cardiac unit in Hamon, outpatient rehab in Jackson, and the emergency department; thanks for being so good to me and mine!
My grandson was born here on thursday. This was an incredibly positive experience. The nursing staff in both the labor and delivery and the upstairs post partum unit were very attentive, professional and very caring. A great experience. I HIGHLY recommend this hospital and especially Melissa, the nurse manager on 5th floor working on Oct. 22, 2016 ! She deserves a raise ! What a magnificent professional !
We have had good service as well as horrible service. I guess it all depends on which doctor you get or the hour of the day. We were in the ER this morning from 3:00-6:30 suffering from really high blood pressure, vomiting and a terrible headache. They were able to get his blood pressure down to 168 and lower his pain level somewhat. He followed the doctors directions when we got home taking all the medications prescribed. He has just gotten worse. We returned to the ER at about 9:45 tonight. We have been here over an hour with no medical attention. We tried to reach our cardiologist today but she is out of town and no one else could see him.
The most unprofessional hospital I have ever been in. The staff on our floor was unhelpful, the room had holes in the sheetrock, the toilet spewed water everywhere when flushed, the only place to sit was on the air conditioner and we never saw the attending physician. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.
Had my first child here (my OB/GYN also has an office here), and love the staff! All nurses were curteous and very professional - not to mention PATIENT. Their around the clock care for me was above and beyond. Ive learned a lot from them and am very lucky to have had them assist me throughout my delivering process. I do have to admit though, husband and I decided to take a tour before the birth of the baby to see how the rooms were set up and was disappointed at first by the rude nurses. I was scared out of my mind delivering here. But when the time came, everyone we encountered were extremely NICE and professional. Couldnt have been any happier!

2022-04-05God awful ER and hospital staff. Avoid this place like the plague if you wanted to be treated like a decent human being. I spoke with Dana after is discharged myself due to the terrible conditions and treatments to see what If I could could re admitted and she said “last night you said Baylor was better so why don’t you just go there” I even told her I had mental health concerns and she didn’t care at all. She was more upset about me saying Baylor was a better facility with better staff but my doctor operated out of this hospital so I came here. Do you and you’re loved ones a favor and avoid these guys.

2022-04-29My brother was a long term resident of Presbyterian Dallas. The emergency department personnel was great. Everyone was very thorough. He was diagnosed with a terrible disease and they operated that night. He ended up in the ICU. The staff in there was really nice. The surgeons and physician assistants worked really hard to keep him alive. They saved his life twice. Once he was able to graduate to his own room, things changed. He ended up in Main 6 West. The technicians Ryan, Caleb, and Ms.Pat were amazing. Nurses Andrew and Edgar were the best and most attentive nurses. The parking lot attendant in the parking lot #3, is a very sweet lady and she is very helpful. But..... Nurse Justin is a nightmare to have. He is not personable and does not show empathy at all. He acts like you are a burden to be there. My brother was frightened to have him and asked the charge nurse to keep him away from him. The people who answer the call button dont always relay messages to the nurse or tech and the nurses dont always communicate with the techs. A few of the surgeons would come in and they would act like you are invisible. They talk to each other but not to you then walk out. If you are paying for doctors consults, you appreciate being talked to, not talked about. The cafeteria food is ok. They have the same thing day in and day out. For people who are long term patients, its not a good thing. The same food everyday is boring. Sometimes they forget things too like gravy or condiments. I am very grateful they saved my brothers life and I would choose this hospital to come back to again. Please fix these small problems and you will get better reviews.

2022-01-06I would give this place zero stars if I could... All doctors and nurses should have one priority in mind - to try and save their patients while showing them the utmost empathy while they are in their care, however, this was not the case with Joel Rubin, my friends uncle who was in the ICU. Not only was he treated horribly, but his family and friends were not allowed to visit him.The most sickening and horrible part about this is that his nephew was actually on a FaceTime call with him when an extremely rude nurse walked in, took off his ventilator, and stated, well hes dead now.If you want your loved ones to be treated as actual human beings, DO NOT take them here. This place needs to be investigated and most of the staff need to be replaced.

2022-06-10DO NOT HAVE A BABY HERE. It’s June of 2022 and if you refuse to wear a mask as a laboring mother. You are threatened to have your support team (husband, mom, doula) removed from the hospital where you have to deliver a baby alone. You are even required to wear the mask while you are PUSHING out a baby. Can’t take it off to kiss or smell your own baby either. COMPLETELY DISGUSTED with the treatment at this hospital.

2021-12-24Best hospital in the Dallas area. Everyone is usually very friendly and helpful. They have a diverse staff of Drs and specialists that work there. They have everything necessary to help you feel better.I was born in this hospital 30 years ago and have been returning for medical needs for my whole life. I am never disappointed

2022-06-21I had a scheduled surgery to remove a fibroid by the 5 star obgyn, Dr Tajzoy! My whole experience from check in to check out was nice. Im thankful for my kind nurses, Carol and Irva. They were patient and took care of my needs. I also appreciate the tech that assisted with me walking, Ms shavonda, I believe is her name. This was my first ever surgery and these guys, from my doctor to the techs, made my first time experience a breeze!I will say this though. My family and I had a concern about safety as they were all able to come to my room without speaking to anyone. But on the good side, I was glad I was able to see them all 😄

2022-02-26I was here for a mere month and discharged this past Monday (1/22/22-2/21/22). I had many diagnosis received. I entered via emergency due to sleep seizure after a dizzy spell that made me fall earlier in the day. ER Doctor took me for CT scan and a diagnosis of subdural hematoma was made and surgery was scheduled for next morning, a second surgery was needed for poor maintenance of scar and a third to remove a piece of bone for better healing. I was COVID negative upon arrival but a few days later I was positive. I really dont remember my first week and a half because I blacked out as another diagnosis was made known as silent seizures as I had up to 6 seizures in one morning. Doctors were great and responsive during the time I was awake and aware but for nurses I had a few bad seeds especially one who got after me because the chest stickers were coming off and she was tired of putting them back on, she was reported and taken out of circulation. The twice nightly blood work were bothersome. I had a few bedwashes but not a complete shower.

2022-04-27On April 21st, I had an outpatient GI procedure at Presbyterian. Everything was extremely well coordinated. Admission was very smooth, and I was taken immediately to an extremely pleasant and efficient team of nurses who updated my records and made me very comfortable until I was taken -- ahead of schedule -- to my procedure.

2022-05-04My dad had kidney surgery here in 2016. It was the worst experience. He ended up staying for 3 weeks and lost 30 pounds. Nurses would not change is IVs in time. Very disorganized. Some nurses got an attitude with my mother.
