Call to see if they could wait for me three minutes couldn’t even wait got there at 4:02 and turn me away
The Lady working behind the counter was adequate not the friendliest person, however the loaders were 5 stars! The guys were fast , friendly, and efficient. They were able to use the front end loader so well the load was flat and even in the bed of my truck. I dont live too far so no tarp was needed as well as the loaded me. I made multiple trips in my personal truck and was there no more than 5 minutes each time .
You do not want to use these people. Their drivers are very bad and did about $10,000 worth of damage to my property and the owner refuses to fix it and also refused to even give me his insurnace policy. Their driver exited our ranch with the dump bucket up in the air and destroyed our gate. Complete incompetence and the owner is obviously not a man with ethics and morals. We filed a police report because he does not have insurnace according to Progressive
These guys rock, pun intended!!! Weve shopped around, and between their great location and great prices, they are good people to deal with. Well be coming back year after year, keep it up!!!
I live not far from their place of business and lost both of my dogs and spent about two hours looking for them. They had found both of them and kindly let them stay in their office until I had finally called to see if anyone had seen them around. Hats of to you guys. Excellent service. Professional and very knowledgeable about products. Easy to work with as a contractor and mywifes customers like that they treat them well, also. The delivery drivers are the best in the business and always put the material exactly where I need it with no damage to turf, driveways, etc. Super friendly. Great products. I Spread 24yards of “screened soil” in the spring on a 1 acre pastor and now I have an Acre of Stickers! I’m convinced they came from the soil! MarkUpdate; I called Texas Soil and the owner, Chris, personally came to my property to observe and discuss the conditions. This was much appreciated. Chris further explained that Texas Soil makes every effort to avoid weeds in all their products and that the Garden Soil is mixed with compost to attemp to “cook the weeds out”. The website lacks a price. My project requires a large amount of dirt and I was searching for a price. The calculator is very helpful despite the lack of information.

2022-06-30I called three weeks ago to order a top dressing for my yard. The lady who advised me said that I should get the Garden Mix. I purchased 2 cubic feet which i spread over the next sevaral days. The mix had a lot of small wood mulch material and a lot of small rocks (like river rock). There was no sign/smell of manure or other nutrients. After three weeks, with watering my yard looks worse than it ever has. The grass that is covered by the soil (about 1/2 inch) is dying. This was the wrong soil for the job. I am very disappointed.

2018-08-07Texas Soil & Stone Outfitters has some great products! The Garden Soil, Red Mulch, and their Custom Mixes are top notch. I would highly recommend them especially if you live near 281 and Bulverde. Super friendly staff, easy to get to, and great prices too. Very pleased! Oh and they deliver or you can bring a truck/trailer

2022-04-03Ordered for garden soils and got mostly top soils , mostly clay and sand , not holding any water at all, no way to plant anything with that.You pay for what u get ( actually not cheap at all )

2021-06-12This place must have changed hands or something. Went there today and I was the very first customer, so its not like they were busy. The lady in the office was quite standoffish, not very helpful, and it was like I was bothering her.I will say that the guys driving the loaders were very nice and helpful.Guess Ill have to find a different go to place.

2020-04-16I was impressed and pleased to work with Texas Soil and Stone during each step of the process. They were helpful and pleasant to work with and made sure to communicate regularly during the day of the drop off (our order came in 3 separate shipments). Best of all, they had great pricing and the cost was within our budget. I’d definitely recommend them for landscaping materials.

2019-04-23Excellent quick service! Why buy bags of mulch when you can get a truck load; 1 1/2 yard s of mulch for $60? Good color that lasts. I know where I’m coming from now on for landscaping needs.
