Texas Thrift Store in other cities:
Usually this store is awesome. But they flipped a powered breaker while we were there and half the lights went out as well the internet that the registers run on. Understandably an unusual and out of their controll situation. Not a problem many customers patiently waited in line.Problem was... no one in the store had keys to the breaker box to flip it back on. It is now 5pm and they think they can get an electrician to the store ....telling people they can wait....Okay again up to the customer. We stayed in line still. Then customers started asking the manager on shift... can you make accepting for the unusual situations and hold our items till tomorrow? NO... can you take cash transactions? NO... The manager on duty had no care for the customers. He even kept letting new ones in the store without telling them the cahs registers were down. He responds to our questions and suggestions rudely and he proceeds to get angry and rais his voice asking why we are giving him such a hard time after we have been waiting 20 min or more for him to just be so rude to people asking for solutions. Several customers left with us after he displayed his attitude. I used to manages thrift stores and when something like this happens you dont just leave people waiting you do your best to make it right. Holding items for 24 hrs would have been an accretion to the rules bit one the customer would have gladly accepted and at no cost to the store. He even mutterd something under his breath to the point of leave my store.
Found a pair of mens work pants for my husband. They had no tag on them but there was another pair identical to them (but one size different) so I brought both pairs to the counter. The cashier said she could not ring the one tag for the untagged pair because it would mess up their inventory. Then I asked if she could just manually enter the cost of the pants since they were the same and she said no! She didnt offer to ask a manager or offer any assistance in any way. And she wasnt friendly or apologetic about it either! Well she lost that sale and any and all future sales from me! You also have to watch their items because some things had an original store price on them and then their price was just a few cents less than when it was bought new. Not a good value and unfriendly service. Thanks, but no thanks!
My wife and I recently moved to San Antonio. We both enjoy thrifting and have been eager to explore the stores in the area. So when we found this store, we were stoked. It was a huge store with a ton of inventory. The prices were inconsistent and sometimes unreasonable, but we quickly found $40 worth of treasures we were excited about and we’re having a great time shopping. We even simultaneously commented about how this was one of the best thrift hauls either of us had ever scored. However, our joy was quickly stolen from us by one rude employee. My receipt tells me her name is Linda. It started when I was pushing our cart near the doors of one of the back rooms. As I passed, Linda came out of those doors very quickly. She startled me, but I wasn’t upset. Accidents happen and I know what it’s like to need to move quickly at work. I apologized and tried to move out of the way, but she continued to aggressively tailgate me despite having space to move around me. It was off putting, but whatever, I assumed she was just trying to do her job.As we approached the checkout, I noticed the store’s policy on untagged items. We checked our basket and the only thing without a tag was a magnet. It was essentially a piece of trash- like a business card glued to a piece of cheap rolled magnet. I don’t remember what it said now, but whatever it was made us laugh, so we wanted to put it on our fridge. I commented that I hoped they would still sell it to us without a price and my wife joked, “well if they won’t sell it to us, they might as well throw it away because no one else will buy it.” I laughed and said she was right. When we were called to a register, we were apprehensive to see the same woman who steamrolled us earlier waiting to scan our items, but I assumed it would be fine and we could soon happily take our treasures home. I assumed wrong. Linda continued to be rude through our entire transaction. She would not speak to us or make eye contact. She lost track of which items had been scanned and responded rudely when we asked what was going on. When she reached the untagged magnet, she said, “not this one,” and threw it to the side. Ok fine whatever. She ignored multiple attempts at communication and bullied her way through the transaction. I have worked in the service industry for 15 years and am annoyingly understanding of how hard working with customers is. However, there is no excuse for how rude this woman was. She left a bad taste in our mouths and made us not want to go back for fear of being treated in a similar fashion. I see many other reviews stating a similar experience and it’s a shame because this store held a lot of promise.
Mugs, glasses and vases galore! Whether youre looking for a used coffee mug with character or a fancy vase for your flowers- Texas thrift can meet you in the middle with a used vase that you can pour your coffee in (as if it were a decadent carafe of OJ!)... or you can peruse their wares for other interests.
I had never been to this thrift store before but it was very organized and clean with great prices and an equally great selection. I managed to get a dress for my cousins wedding for only $6! I highly recommend checking out this store. They also had furniture, accessories, appliances, home decor, etc.
I used to love this place, but these past few years their prices have been RISING and are becoming very over priced for donated items, some that even have stains or are torn. That is the main reason for the 2 stars, but other than that, their staff is very nice and the store is fairly clean.I recommend checking out thrift city on Heubner & bandera.their prices are much better and you find good items!!
Large selection. Way over priced on even general items that can be purchased brand new at an equal & lower cost at Walmart or similar shoppe. Not sure they clean items before putting out on floor to sell. I didnt even bother checking the clothes out after a $9.99 tag on a small Texas star decoration. Salvation Army is farther to drive to,but Ill make the drive for it.
I’ve been going to this thrift store for 2 years now. I really like it but recently the staff has changed. I have noticed on multiple occasions that there is a male manager there that speaks to the employees in an unprofessional manner. Specifically, yelling and degrading the staff. This made my experience there very uncomfortable. I have always found good things there. However, with this experience I would not go back there.
I am a frequent shopper and donar of Texas Thrift on 410 and Ingram in San Antonio. I love your company. On Friday April 23, I had a negative experience and wanted to report this experience. My husband and I were shopping and he spotted an item, a Harley Davidson leather vest. He inquired on the price and Delia ( the manager on shift) indicated $49.99. My husband overheard her tell another employee the price on 2 occasions. My husband request this be placed on hold for him for the time of checkout. I encourage him to purchase of at that instant since he has overheard Delia indicate someone else had an interest in the item. I was concerned the item would not be held. As we continued to shop my husband noticed the item being shown to another customer, only the price was now $99. We immediately inquired why the item as being shown and why the price has changed. I also questioned why there was no tag to indicate set price. Delia reported she was the manager and had the right to set the price. She proceeded to take the item to the back and along they way indicated it would be priced at $149I am upset at the dishonest practice and would like to bring it up attention. We shop at Texas Thrift at the hope of attaining what at times seems unattainable. I am not angry at the price, rather the dishonesty.
A good place for browsing but be sure to price check online! Some things can be overpriced if they are in good condition. They also have a tendency of blaming the customers for false prices if an item rings up wrong (claiming the customer switched the tags) Ive found a few thrifted clothing items that i wear regularly, but if youre hunting for good collectors items or name brand, id advise somewhere else
I’ve been shopping here for years now. Has anyone else noticed all the new faces? All the new staff? Very few that are still there that I’ve seen just in recent months and shortly after the store reopened. I always look forward to seeing the evening floor supervisor Delia and how she interacts with her staff. Very respectful and fun to be around at the same time. Not to mention that she always greets the customers with a smile. I know you can’t see her smile behind the masks but you can tell when someone is smiling. I’ve also been there when the other supervisor (the short older dark complected Hispanic lady) is there. She’s horrible to the staff. Yells at them, puts them down and is all over the place. I wish I knew her schedule to avoid going when she’s there. Feel bad for the staff when she’s there.
Shopping carts do not have seatbelts for the little ones. For anyone with squirmy kids, this is a huge safety hazard. My 16 mo. old baby fell out head first onto the floor. I tried to file a complaint so they would consider inserting seatbelts, but was told that was a corporate decision...? So idk if they cant offer suggestions to corporate. I might call to see if I can file a complaint on the phone.Im worried about a concussion and/or serious injury. It all couldve been prevented so easily, the same way every other store does. The store is pretty big and a decent amount of Halloween costumes.
By far my favorite thrift store. I could spend hours here, compared to only being able to spend 20 mins in Goodwill... I always score such nice pieces here. They have military Wednesdays where you get 30% off items that are full price that week but near holidays thy have 30 or 50 percent off the entire store which is always great to score. Pretty much my entire closet is from Texas thrift and they have a really nice selection and variety of clothing. I always get staple pieces here.
Great prices on good items with wide selection. Recommended as long as items fit.During covid the changing rooms are closed, we get it. All businesses do this, why is there no return policy on items that do not fit if the changing rooms are unavailable? That sounds backwards to me.
Great place to shop they have great items at very reasonable prices. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star is the payment options. A customer should be able to pay with debit card and use a pin number to pay for items like majority of stores allow. Stopped there unplanned didnt have I.D ready to use my debit was told no way..had to get hubby from car to pay for stuff.
This is the place to go! We find so many good deals on clothes, shoes, and dolls for my child and our family! A lot of books and movies, too, but you really gotta sort through the book area because the kids section is a mess! Love how large the store is and the prices are always worth it!
This place is a very good thrift store. They support a very worthy charity, have a clean store, and treat people well. The restrooms are even fairly nice, given the context. I am happy to shop here! In fact, the only negative is that if we go there I know my wife will be shopping around for well over an hour, which is good for the store but bad for me. ;-)
Dont bother asking for any assistance. I walked in looking for an employee to ask a simple question and I finally spotted one (without a mask) looking like she took every drug known to man. She looked at me I waved her down and then she proceeded to ignore me and walk away. Rude people man, save your money theres plenty other thrift stores out there.
This place is pretty awesome. I went in thinking I was gonna spend at least $200 per kid to update their wardrobes. I spent that on both kids combined. The workers were very helpful and kind. I like that they have military discount on Wednesdays as well. We will definitely be back to get more stuff for the kids.
It is a good store. I am rating a 3 because there are no returns and no switching out.Background. I am checking out, I hand the cashier the money and my boss calls and says that he doesnt want the shirts. I ask her if I can return them. (Meanwhile, i seriously JUST got them, maybe 2 seconds plus however long it takes to say can I return this.I have to eat the costs of them now. I asked if I could switch for something else and she said no. Store credit? No.Its frustrating because a little kindness goes a long way and is this really how you want to raise money for Arms of hope? By making sure if people cant return or exchange things?I hadnt even had the chance to pick up the bags before he called.Be aware, NO returns under any circumstances. You could be on fire.
I am a avid toy collector and I came here to look for a few goodies during the sale. I picked up a few things that only totaled out to 5 dollars, when I took out my card to pay, the lady at the register asked for my ID. I told her I don’t have one as I’m only 17, there is really no reason to have one. She took my items and put them behind the counter. I was about in tears at this point. We went to the car to get my boyfriends ID and got back in line, the lady made eye contact with us and immediately made a message over the intercom. Saying “you must have your ID ready to pay with card. (Employee name) please put away miscellaneous items.” A employee went and started putting our items away in front us when we’re just the next person in line. When it was my turn back in line, she gave me a very annoyed look and said “what can I help you with.” I told her that we had got my boyfriend’s wallet and we’re ready to pay. She told me “your items have been put away. Sorry” I asked her if she could go get them and she shrugged her shoulders, made a ugly face and rolled her eyes. Directed me to look through a black bin and I would have to wait in line again. I look through the bin and a nicer employee helps me find my items, she could probably notice how visibly upset I was. I got in another line and payed without even being asked for my ID. The card I used for a temporary pay card from my work, doesn’t even have a name on it. There would be use in me showing a ID in their first place due to the lack of identification on the card. Rudest customer service, i come to thrift stores weekly for toy collecting and was starting to make this store part of my weekly routine. Due to the terrible customer service and attitude of a high schooler this cashier had, I don’t think I will be back. I understand I didn’t have a ID which goes against the store’s policy but the way this employee handled the situation was immature, rude and disrespectful. She could’ve made a effort to understand my card like I tried to make her aware of but I could tell I was just a waste of time to her. Let alone the floors of this store are disgusting with dirt, hair and even bugs. The floor is stained grey from dirt and looks like it’s never been washed, this place could definitely benefit from a better staff which would actively clean the store and show concern for their customers especially such a committed one as myself.
There are most definitely bargains to be found as you can get some merchandise for super cheap. Granted they do overprice on certain items but overall, a pleasant shopping experience. Workers are helpful, place is pretty clean and the wait on line to pay is not long at all. I understand that kids can run amuck at times, people can be a bit rude as far as not moving and hogging up the aisles, etc..But on the up and up, its a two thumbs up.
It looks lovely, since the remodeling. The selection was not as good for ladies items, of which I was looking for. The quality if the items was fair, a lot of man-made fibers. Condition of items was good, everything was clean and organized. Novelty items, like paper, notecards, price were way to high for the value. Not tempted to return for more shopping, because the pricing is high for used merchandise.
Prices are as high as a retail store as if it all was not donated. I mean come on do atleast a 25 percent discount. For a place to be called “Arms of Hope”, you would think be a little more reasonable. Please do your research before donating to places that should actually help the less fortunate.
Very few reasonably priced items, but there are times you can find a deal. The reason for the 1 star review is that they will not let you purchase items without ID. Excuse me for wanting to buy items from your establishment after losing my wallet. If my money isnt good for you now, I wont be back in the future.Wanted ID to purchase 4 glass bowls.Excuse they gave was that they process all transactions as credit. Thats not my problem, nor is it my fault that you went with a cheap merchant services provider.
This was my first visit to this thrift store, and I was only looking for tea cups and coffee cups. Not too many tea cups and coffee cups were over priced. I am looking for cups for a womans retreat about 200 to be exact. I have been to a lot of thrift stores, and the majority have them priced at 99 cents. Some days they are a little cheaper. So I just think that 1.98 or 1.99 is too pricey
I hadn’t been to this location in a while — they have really stepped it up! You really can find good ‘brand name’ clothing - you just have to hunt for it of course 😉 The store was more organized, cleaner , and I LOVE how Texas thrift has $1 days on Mondays🙌 🤫 *If your a thrift store lover as I have most recently become, I most definitely recommend taking a look in this one!
Been there twice still havent seen the whole store i like it so far.prices are way way way Cheaper than good will ; Great for alot of my Friends that are on fixed incomes im going there now to show them so they can shop on the small budget great store keep up the great work and please keep prices low god has blessed alot of people thru that store .God Bless😁,. P.s i love how organized and clean store is...****
Usually find decent used clothes.I shop here for clothes for myself and my 4 kids. Its clean, has recently updated its dressing rooms, and sorts clothes by size. If youre extra careful, you could spend $.99 per item of you choose the tag color of the day. But theres still the opportunity to save 30-50% with 2 other tag colors. Happy thrifting!
Great place! They do accept American Express credit cards. There is a lot of merchandise. I wish there were more changing rooms. They dont have a lot of books in their collection, but what they have is good. They have good choices for plates, cups, and other miscellaneous items.
We go every Monday for $0.99 tag day, and have always had good service. My only complaint would be that when they are stocking shelves they will literally block off entire sections of the store with carts, but have no one working there stocking. But we find almost everything there, some brand new.
Huge selection of every thing you could hope to find! Name brand items and unique rare finds all in one place. Pricing of items, 90% of the time is what you would expect to see for a thrift store but 10% of the time they miss the mark and confuse a thrift store with high end boutique. Wish the pricing was uniform for items of the same brand or quality. Other than this, i love this store and this store is by far one of the best thrift stores in San Antonio!!
Very ,very poor attitudes from most of the employees there. You clearly see how much they hate working there?! Throughout the whole time I was there you could hear them on the intercom advertising for new hires, its no wonder!! They ruin the shopping experience there. Seriously....do something!it would be nice to feel appreciated !
I shopped Texas Thrift Store on July 26. The shelves and racks were well-stocked with items - clothes, shoes, household goods, toys, handbags, etc. There was not much furniture. The biggest drawback was the closed fitting rooms, which I didnt discover until after Id spent time picking out clothes. I chanced it with a couple of pairs of capris. One daughter found a treasure trove of shirts in a brand she likes (LuLaRoe). Clothing items are reasonably sorted by size and type (skirts, shorts, jeans, pants, capris, long-sleeve, short-sleeve, etc.), but there are always a few rogue items. Quality varies from new/like new to needs to go to the landfill, with lots of in between. There is something for everyone, and the store is reasonably clean.
As far as thrift stores go, this one has lots of volume. You can get decent stuff for a cheap price. If youre looking for that hidden gem where the staff doesnt really know the value of the item, look else where. Overall, great place doing great things for the community.
They always have great deals going on. I needed some suits and ties for a new job, and I got 4 brand name, almost new jackets and four ties for less than $40, Steve Madden shoes for $15, and dress slacks for less than $10 each. Each week they have 50% off one color tag and 30% off another. Tuesday is senior citizen day and Wednesday is police, fire, and military (active and veteran) day, where these groups receive 30% off. Also, one color tag is 99 cents on Monday unless it is $19.91 or higher, in which case it is half off.
Everything except books for babies and small children is overpriced. If I wanted to spend $13 on a pair of jeans Id buy them new at walmart. This place is dirty and full of rude, racist staff who are keen on pushing past you in a rush while bumping into you with smirks on their faces. Not enough carts either.
Employees not wearing mask ...asked why ..employee said he would be all right .The mask is for our safety.Manager made him go put one on but moments before they were all in a hundle laughing and playing around with at least 3 or more not wearing masks and about 1 foot from one another.Manager only told them to put one on because i said something .NO EXCUSE. Be safe!!!!!!!!!
So i came day before and item was priced $16.99... Coincidently very next morning price was scratced off sc cashier needed a price check.. Lady came back and tried IT swying its $19.99..Its not that i didnt have the money as i proceeded to take my stack out my purse but dont try and give me a NEW NEW PRICE. I told HEATHER that if it cant be changed and ive already spent over $70.00 then a customer. Incdeed they will LOSE... $3.00 I hope it was worth a good customer who koves to shop...smh
I found a pair of $100 Guess jeans for $6, and 5 dress shirts for $4 each. The employees have always been nice to me when I go there. The only rudeness and stupidity I deal with is the women shopping there who complain about everything, stand in your way, and forget their ID. Great place, great prices. Great job, Texas Thrift.
My moms been shopping for awhile there and she liked it. But today she went in the store and tried on a dress. When she came out she forgot her purse. She walked back in the dressing room. And a man walked out right after her. She checked her purse and all her money was stolen. She frantically went and told the employee to stop the guy cuz he had stolen from her. Well the supervisors went up but supposedly nothing could be done. No one called the police and no one did anything to help or comfort her. She came home crying and devastated that all her money was stolen and no one seemed to care. Of course I called upset and spoke to the supervisor In Training, the other supervisors were to busy with actual customers to get on the phone and talk to me. Of course being upset my reaction was harsh, the sup in training said if I didnt calm down she had my info and she was going to report me. How twisted is that. So tomorrow the morning manager will get a visit hoping they can show us surveillance video of what happened. She was and is in so much shock. Why couldnt someone just call the police for her if they were all there and the guy was still in the store. What a shame. Besides getting this handled we will never be going back there again.
Texas Thrift by Ingram mall is my absolute favorite thrift store. Do not show up an hour before closing time, you will end up leaving disappointed. I set myself up for disaster and didnt even get to the clothes. I get sucked in the second I step foot into the store. I automatically gravitate towards all the glass items, books, electronics and furniture. Not a good way to spend the little time you have when your mission is to find winter clothing for the kids....SMH!!
Absolutely fantastic place for used Goods a large kitchen wheres section A large furniture Section 8 Miles and Miles of clothing boots accessories sporting equipment its absolutely fantabulous. And its support a very fun shareable cause so get on down there and buy some stuff.
I went here looking for good deals. I found a decor item for $2.48 on the bottom it was stamped from Dollar Tree, 150% more expensive than buying it brand new. Clothing? Same thing, found 12 month onesie for $3. It was the garnimal brand (sp?) From Walmart that had them for $2.50 new. Overpricing items that are DONATED?!?! Thats not thrift saving, its robbery. Absolutely sick of inner city profit machines that pretend they are thrift. Edit: I posted a picture of the item as proof, look through Google images.
I will NOT be going here again. Your “door” guy the one with all the tats covering him is completely unprofessional first off he’s not even wearing the work uniform he has sweat pants and a gray shirt. second he’s straight up harassing women. I watched him follow around 3 different women harassing them and even tried getting them to buy him food. then when my wife came in he did the same exact thing making provocative comments that were straight up rude and would not stop no matter how much she told him to go away. I had to come in to get him to back off. What the hell kind of employees are you hiring? That’s comepletely unacceptable. Have some pride in your business. This dude isn’t even working a real job here (and yes he is an employee he had his name tag) he just sits by the door in the wrong uniform harrassing women then occasionally pushing a cart into the cart pick up.
Guy with the texas tattoo on his neck is gang afflicted and is harrassing woman and especially the disabled and monica the manager and other woman manager (that did not want to give her name) will not tell them andthing. I repeatedly tolded them to step away ( the tattoo man and woman employee) that I was there to talk to management. Very poorly manage store. It seem like employees are in charge. Managers look scared of man and woman employees. Requested for upper management number and they would not give me no info. I am disabled and on a fix income thats why I shop there and to be treated like this is worst of the worst. Will not return there with employees like this at store.
We have been coming here for 4years and the customer service is really really bad but today we Rose as the cashier. She was one the very few that has good customer service.. My wife and l love to shop here so it is real sad when we see the bad customer service.. Keep up the good work(Rose)!!!
This place is NOT WORTH ANYBODYS TIME!I used to love this thrift store. I could find books for less than a dollar each and kids clothing for 1-2 dollars per item and then they changed something and everything is WAY overpriced. They forgot that theyre selling used items, I guess. I find clothes from Wal-mart priced for more than Walmart prices them brand new. Theres also no consistency in the pricing. One thing will say $3 and then there can be the equivalent thing from the same brand and it will be $9. I seriously wonder if they do any research on what things cost new and then discount that, or if they just pick a number willy-nilly. And more recently Ive noticed that they started at least trying to explain the overpricing on some items by labeling them vintage. haha Yeah, just because its old doesnt make it worth more. A 40 year old broken iron is still a broken iron. Its not worth 20-30 dollars. Certain things can be worth more even if theyre broken, but not the things this store has. Its impossible to get a good deal here.I have found the exact same items at other resale stores for a fraction of the price. So... From now on Ill just stick to those other stores.Dont even get me started on their stupid policies.
I constantly find items with a Goodwill sticker on them for a lower price and then THEY have written in sharpie a higher price. They have ONE cashier no matter what so you MUST put someone in line for you while you shop like at the Wal Mart return line. It smells VERY bad and its VERY hot. If there is no price marked on it at all, they will NOT sell it; often sighting that their pricing person is not available to price it. Then they put it behind the counter as if trying youre trying to buy beer without an ID.
I called the Thrift Store location at Ingram Rd yesterday, Sunday, 10-29-17 to see if they would be holding a 99 CENT DAY ON MONDAY, 10-30-17. I was told by a lady they didnt know yet and to call back on Monday. The lady also said the Manager hadnt. decided yet what they would do on Monday.I called a little while ago, today Monday, 10-30-17, AFTER 9 AM, I was hung up on 2 times. Called one last time, AFTER their opening time of 9 AM, and the lady first greeted my call with HELLO. I asked her if it was Texas Thrift Store, she then said yes. I told her I needed to know the DISCOUNTED COLORS FOR TODAY. I was told by the lady that answered the phone that I needed to go in and read their signs to find out the specials for today. I asked her WHY DO I NEED TO DRIVE OVER THERE TO GET THE INFORMATION?. She could not give me an answer. Well HELLO. I live in KERRVILLE. I live pretty far to drive there to get the information I am requesting. I think this store is going downhill. Not being managed correctly. What a way to have a GRAND OPENING.Actually I also feel what they should do is keep their name of TEXAS THRIFT STORE, in those big bold letters, and ADD SCOTT DEEMS NAME, in honor of the courageous firefighters memory, next to the stores name.Hes the firefighter that lost his life in May 2017 battling the huge fire. He will never be forgotten.
Been there several times. It’s too expensive for second hand items. I found an item with the original price and the thrift store actually labeled it for a higher price. Lol... Don’t get me wrong it’s a neat place to check out. But they should make it more affordable. Heck I’ll go to Walmart and Ross and find cheaper things.
I agree, some things are over priced, but they will have big discounts on certain days(.99 Mondays) and have 50% off on certain areas of the store. 50% off on some already low marked prices, or over priced items, but thats why the fun is in looking around and seeing what things you find by actually looking around.
Very strict stupid restrictions, i can not purchase anything without a photo id, so the cashier offered to hold it, only she didnt say she could only hold it for 1 hr when i called to see what they closed they said my stuff was back on the racks, they had a sale that day that everything was 1/2 off for the new year, the next day when ro look for my stuff again guess what everything was regular price asked to speak to the supervisor, she said that was their policy! two words: pissed off! $/@/%
They treated us like we were criminals....and did not do the same procedure with clients that were ahead of us that used credit and debit cards...double and triple checked I.D.s, signatures.....it was over the freaking top with all they did and they did not do it to the customers ahead of us that laid the same way....that is just B.S.!!!thanks for making us feel lime second class citizens!!!
Uneducated supervisor, “Ronnie” after waiting 15 min pay for my item in cash I only had a 100.00, was told in my face that they couldn’t except my 100.00 bill cause it didn’t feel right 🤦🏻♂️ Never again will I return there. Crowded store full of poverty employees!Save your time go to Ross stores or t j max
Love Texas Thrift Store! I always go for the two colors of the day, one is 50% off, the other 30%! And they are really good about repeating them over the PA every 20-30 minutes. Today, I spent less than $50, and I got a beautiful piece of Fostoria (expensive, collectable depression glass), a gravy boat, a baby monitor, a kool-aid man pitcher and lots of office clothes: 4 skirts (one was New York and Company, another was un1deaux2trois3), 2 pairs of slacks, (including an Ann Taylor), a dress, and 2 pairs of jeans, (faded glory and style&co). You cant go wrong here!
(Boost Mobile) Actually a ZERO star. Bad service/ attitude Ive experienced in a while and does not honor sales asadvertised. Very missleading/ deceptive. Flo did not even make sense when she tried to lie and contradicted herself alot. Dont bother or see for yourself.
The only issue I have is the prices on somethings.. It is a thrift store and if im going to pay $10 for a shirt then im just going to go get a brand new one... When they have deals on Monday thats a good time to go... If they price there things lower and not by the brand they could make more money...and remember you cant exchange or refund..at lease good will you can exchange and they have one set price for things.
EXTREMELY OVER PRICED(used 20 x 20inch picture frames $17), rude & very distrustful. Cashiers ask women to leave their purses at the front counter. Very disorganized & dirty place. Will NEVER come back. I spend any an hour here and witnessed one lady run out & falsely accused of theft and about 4 other ladies just leave because of their policy of the purses.
Dont let your sons work here it not worth it & thay threw way good stuff in the trash thay are in really great condition……The store having a party the manager sterling say 😡 what are you doing it not for you it the store only people your son is not part of the store he a trailer person & there one lady will mark down the price than the managers keep the good stuff in the back corner office & keep it there until the mark down price

2021-12-01I have been looking for a place in town that sells used books for a low enough price. I found it here. They had a big selection, but they werent in any sort of order. At least they were lined up in rows and not haphazardly stacked on top of each other like their sister store, Thrift City.I wanted paperbacks, and they are selling them for $.99-$1.98.This is a monster store that has a lot of everything. Their clothing prices ran a bit high, but I tolerated it and bought some anyway. So many knick knacks, kitchen, bath, bed, and office supplies. I even found some yarn!

2022-09-09Been coming here for years. In my opinion, this is the best Texas Thrift in San Antonio. You can find solid basics in clothing. Good books. And the best condition dinnerware and cookware. The toy and board game section is plentiful. It can be messy at times— but frankly that comes with the territory of high traffic establishments, especially sale times.

2022-08-21I used to work here at this location! And I quit not too long ago, I left because I found a better paying job and also I left because I didn’t like how Janette the manager treated me and talked to me very UNPROFESSIONAL! After leaving the store I called to ask a manager a question Liz was the manager that they called for over the phone and before I got to ask her something she just hung up in my face! Again very UNPROFESSIONAL! And now that I go to the store to shop and Janette sees me she’ll just give me like this nasty look like i did something to her, when I left I left in good terms I went to pick up my check and turned in my apron… Janette yelled at liz telling her to give me my check and that I quit, I believe that texas thirft store loses employees due to Janettes unprofessionalism I think texas thirft store needs better management

2021-03-28I have not been coming here as much because of how awful their prices are, especially for them being donated. I visited today and to my amazement was a dresser that I had sat out for garbage. They are really trying to sell it for $29 and all the drawers are broken and scratched up, hence why it was out for garbage. This is just disgusting.

2022-02-25I like going to the location near my house but have been wanting to come to this location for awhile now. Today I visited and found some great deals. This store has plenty of items to choose from. I spent a little over $100 and got a good vacuum, pots and pans, portable electric burner, Blue & white vase and planter pot, old corning-ware, and bowls. I will definitely shop here again when I have more time.

2017-12-05Not a bad location overall. Pretty clean and well organized compared to other thrift stores that Ive been to. Bathrooms were a little dirty. Prices are higher than other thrift stores Ive been too. When I asked for help the associate led me straight to what I was looking for. Large store with plenty to look at. Their sections are clearly labeled.

2021-06-14I have shopped here for years and had no problems. But recently Ive noticed items not ringing up properly.I added up the total of my items, It was roughly $85 dollars, before the 50% and 30% discount on a 13 items. So my total should have been less than $85+ tax.I was charged $88.92 + $7.34= $96.26This Childrens Romper was listed at $1.98 but sold for $3.98.

2018-09-19Great thrift store, and I mean really great! They have a huge selection, you can literally find anything here. Their prices are great, even cheaper than Goodwill. I got a shirt for $2 here, and at Goodwill the cheapest shirt I have ever gotten there was $5. But hey, it could be due to my small size. I struggle with finding clothes in Texas that fit me due to my size. When I find clothes that fit I take it. I didnt have problem finding shirts and dresses here that fit me.
