Thai House Restaurant in other cities:
This is one place where my wife and I always enjoy the food when we come. Flavors are always on point and the food is always fresh. Thai basil and drunken noodles are in the pictures along with their amazing spring rolls. The decor is a bit dated but the food is consistently good and authentic.
I love their Thai House Fried Rice special with chicken or veggies! This place is delicious! My boyfriend always gets the chicken red curry! They are always so welcoming and the food is always superb! Make sure to get some spring rolls too! We are addicted to their food!
I am a picky person who loves an authentic recipe for Thai food, red curry and panang curry. I order medium heat, & sometimes extra veggies, with chicken. Nothing like this flavor. I’m so glad I found this place. Every single time I order I’m very pleased with the whole thing!!!! I love it. It seriously could not be any better. Plus they give a generous portion. Great service, always nice, very clean place. I believe the owners run it all.
I ordered some friend egg rolls & chicken pad thai while my date ordered the pineapple fried rice (not pictured). Both meals were brought out oh, so fast and were very delicious! I was in town on business. The restaurant is quite a ways from my home but its definitely worth the drive!
Ya know what ? I started writing a detailed review but instead Ill just tell you. Dont go. Ordered $50 worth of food and ......no. just take a chefs advice ....NO! If I wasnt a decent person I would call up , yell and, reverse the charges on my cc. But Ill just say.....NO!!!
The food is incredibly delicious,it is full of spices and seasoning! I heard race reviews so I decided to bite the bullet and tried it! I had the medium hot noodles with chicken and shrimp..I definitely plan to return to check out other menu items, reasonable in price and generous portions!
Ordered yellow curry, drunken noodles, and dumplings. The dumplings took me a little bit by surprise, it comes with 6 of them, and they are fairly small, shareable with one other person just as an app, but were still good. The entrees were delicious and there’s definitely enough for leftovers. I’m not personally usually a fan of drunken noodles, bought them for the fiancé, but I really liked theirs. Huge curry fan and theirs is so great. Good prices, easy to order over the phone, took about 30 min to make.
I’m not very experienced with ordering Thai food, so I usually order Pad Thai. This was our first time at this restaurant and we had a group of 9 friends. We all decided to order something different and taste each other’s. I ordered Green Curry and it was delicious! I got to taste the Pad Thai, Red Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice, Thai House Fried Rice, Thai BBQ Chicken, Cashew Delight, Thai Basil and the Sticky Rice with Mango for dessert. Everything was delicious, including the Thai Iced Tea. I can’t wait to go back again!
My family and I went to Thai House to celebrate my sisters birthday on a Saturday. The first thing that surprised me about this restaurant is the fact that they took reservations on a Saturday, as many restaurants refuse to due to how busy Saturdays are. When we arrived the staff was warm and welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. There were nine of us in the group and everyone had rave reviews about their various dishes. This is a great restaurant to visit for any occasion for great food and a nice cozy atmosphere. The pictures show how generous they are with their portion sizes. Dont hesitate to visit. Their prices are also very affordable especially considering how delicious the food is.
I have been to many Thai Restaurants, and this one is my absolute favorite! Always hot, fresh and delicious. Just the right amount of heat and flavor. The deserts are out of this world, so definitely save room for that! The owners and employees are so genuinely kind and aim to please.I would recommend this delicious restaurant to anyone who loves Thai food and is visiting or lives in the Arlington area.
I love love this place! It has been my favorite for years. I have tried other Thai Restaurants but Thai House never disappoints me. We always feel very welcome and their service is fantastic. Even now with the pandemic, our to go orders are always right and the service is great.
This place is hands-down my favorite Thai spot in the DFW area. I havent had a thing I dont like, the prices are very reasonable, and the portions large. Attentive and kind wait staff when dining in and expertly packaged orders when ordering take-out. Cannot stress enough how delicious the food is. Best drunken noodles Ive ever had and the Thai Garlic with chicken makes me drool. Must visit! (Edit: Dine-in is closed as of now, 5/30, but theyre still doing take-out)
My family and I have been going to this place for the past three years. Never have they ever let us down with the quality of the food. Unlike other Thai restaurants, the waiters are really sweet and nice! Their customer service is definitely very impressive! If you are looking for some good Thai food to eat in a nice atmosphere, this is it!!
The Thai House is a BYOB restaurant with a very friendly staff. I love Thai food and have been all over looking for a good menu with thick and creamy curry sauces and fresh ingredients, also CLEAN. This restaurant located in a strip center has every Thai dish I love. The Green Curry is the best I have ever had. Also amazing is the Tom Kha Kai soup, Cashew Chicken, Pineapple Fried Rice and Pad C-Ew. This restaurant is awesome. Yummy!
One of my favorite Thai places. Their tom kha soup is delicious and I love all their curries. Recently got a pad thai that I wasnt a big fan of and they very kindly swapped it out for another dish. Kind people are another reason I love this place. I pop in for a quick lunch often and the service is very fast.
I always enjoy my food when I come here. Its the only Thai restaurant that Ive gone to around here but nobody that Ive talked to has had anything bad to say about it. I usually get the Panang curry. The cheese rolls for an appetizer are also a safe choice! The sauce it comes with combines with it to make a sweet and savory combo. Havent had anything quite like it honestly! Plus the five different spice levels are definitely worth a visit for if you love spicy food! A 3 for me is my limit. The lights and electricity did go out one time I was there, though I had already had my food available at the time and they didnt have much issue with my receipt. All in all a great visit.
I was a saucier in a 5 star. I took my daughter here for lunch one day on a whim. It was our first time here. I ordered the Panang Curry, and it was served with Jasmine rice. She ordered Curry as well. I wasnt expecting more than an average lunch, but what I received, challenged me. The curry was so extremely well balanced, and perfect, that I realized that I still had a lot to learn about sauces. We make Curries at my home weekly, and this place has definitely been a major influence. You would be doing yourself wrong not dining here.
The owner, although absent, knew my husband and I were coming to her restaurant for our 15 year Anniversary. She called the restaurant and made sure we were well taken care of. The service, the food, and the atmosphere.....Top Notch. I highly recommend a visit to her restaurant. You will not be disappointed!!!
The food was absolutely amazing. If you happen to be someone that has many request, please make the waiter or waitress aware, as I felt this to be an area of improvement. The food was out in no time (hot and fresh too.!), and someone commented about straws on here.? Well we got our straws first thing. Overall, I felt this to be a good experience as my request were minimal and the food was excellent.
Have been several times for lunch. Very good food, love the drunken noodle. My co-worker wanted drunken noodle and we tried Thai House out and have been going back whenever we can ever since. I have enjoyed the soup every time I have been. They have different soups not just the same thing everyday. Service is very good, almost formal feeling.
Really good food. This is one of the places we go for Thai. If youve never had Thai food then you might want to know what kind of food it is before you go so you have a better idea when you order. The wife loves their drunken noodles and the combination appetizer is never a bad idea. Personally i go for the curry.Parking is never a problem. You may have to wait a little longer than some places for service but its never been really bad. The atmosphere is nice so relax and eat.
Best Thai food in Arlington. If you are craving Thai food thats as authentic as you can find then this is the place. Humble interior with nice staff and a few thats been working there a long time. The salad you get when you order an entree is small but delicious. The spice rating is 1-5 and if you love spicy you should opt for 5, as I always get a 3 and I cant handle real spicy but 3 is perfect for a little kick.
I didn’t like their customer service. Personally I prefer it to be up to the mark, because not only the food quality matters for the exploration of your local restaurants. To be started with, the server or the waiter was not well trained since he wasn’t even greeting us well. After delivering the food in to the table, the server didn’t come back for once to know about the taste or likeness of the food, anything that I was needed. After everything I decided not to pay or pay a certain amount of tip, as soon as I am done signing the receipt, the middle aged lady on the other side of the counter was asking for the TIP. I knew tip was never mandatory and depends on the customer satisfaction. However, I was asked for the TIP in this restaurant. HIGHLY Disappointed!!!!!
It was my first time here and I ordered Thai rolls, I didnt like them so I asked for them to be exchanged for spring rolls. The manager refused and told me I needed to repurchase another entree. I didnt want to do that so I didnt eat anything but one bite of my roll and they still expected me to pay for the rolls. After arguing with the manager for 10 minutes I finally paid for something I did not eat. I would never recommend this frugle, unprofessional, poor customer serviced place to anyone. Do not waste your time
Really good Thai cuisine. This place is a South Arlington landmark in my opinion. Been coming here for decades for delicious Thai food. Service can be a little slow during peak times of course, but the good food more than makes up for any potential wait. Definitely recommend the curries for a change from the standard noodle Thai dishes.
I have this amazing thai place in california that has the best yellow curry, so im beginning my journey to find something that will top it here in texas. Thai House is my first stop - i ordered yellow curry with beef with level 2 spice/mild, and the pork dumplings with a thai tea to go. Server at the to go counter was very nice and helpful, i like the ambiance, but didnt care for the giant tv on the counter. Order was easy to place, food was piping hot and perfect by the time i got home. I loved the flavor of the curry but i personally like it a little sweeter, which was the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Ill definitely go back again, though i felt it was a bit pricey to go too often.
We went for lunch yesterday, and I was super excited. Unfortunately, I believe their coconut milk may have spoiled. The coconut soup tasted like feet smell, as did my green curry which wasnt very green at all. All of the rice had a weird after taste as well. Very disappointing for $65. We barely ate, and threw away all of our leftovers. The Pad Thai and spring rolls were average. They DID however have great dipping sauces and service.
My husband and I have gotten food from this place on multiple occasions. Weve always been pleased. We always get the same thing--curry and pad Thai noodles. This time we got out order to go. When we got home, our curry container was a little less than half way filled. I called them about this. They told me it was impossible for me to have gotten a more full container in the past and there was nothing they could do.There are several other good Thai places in the area with the same prices. If Thai House had given me LESS THAN HALF a container in the past and called it common practice, I would have never come back. The fact that they were unwilling to be accommodating at all is frustrating and worthy of losing my business to their competitors--whose food is just as good, prices are the same, and the staff accommodates errors made on their part.BOTTOM LINE: Just dont.
Today I took my mom here for her birthday and because it was a total of 6 of us they charge a server fee plus they want a tip. I have never heard this until today. And for the record I am ok with paying tips and yes the correct percentage, but for 2 plates for $9.95 a piece ,2 drinks for $2.00 a piece and a $5.00 order of spring rolls my bill read $43.67. Plus the man wanted a tip. No Sir
Food was just ok and restaurant wasnt all that clean. I got a stir fry that was supposed to have veggies and the only veggies in it were those little ears of corn and onions and there were piles of those! I had to leave much of the corn and onions, just couldnt eat that much of them. Not sure why they would overload on those 2 veggies and not put any others in it. My daughter got coconut soup which I tried and it was good and plentiful. She took a large container home with her.
Best Thai restaurant in the Arlington area. The pad Thai is one of my favorite dishes. Their soups also come in hot pot which is unique! Their desserts are authentic and fresh also. I have had their panang and red curry. Both are delicious. I would recommend Thai hot which is the spiciest because they normally dont go very spicy!
Impressed y the quality of the the Thai food here, we always visit when we are in Arlington, dish sizes are large level of spicyness is accurate, food is not too sweet which can often be a problem with Thai food. Highly recommend them. Service is attentive but other overbearing
I need to say that this place has been my favorite Thai restaurant for YEARS! I have tried the multiple other Thai places in the area, however Thai House always remained my fave, specifically for items on the menu which I have yet to find anywhere else, and yes its THAT good lol.
The food is good here, I have eaten here several times over several years. However, they were very rude and disrespectful on the phone with me now. The man accused me of being drunk because he could understand only 15 digits of my credit card. Rather than being polite and requesting me to repeat myself or waiting for me to collect my order (I was 5 minutes away) he badgered me calling me drunk. The man also refused to provide me with the menu options when I asked. His response was youve been here before, you should know what you want.
Service is way too slow, sat for 15 minutes without being greeted. While waiting, a table of two walked out because they were not greeted. The chicken coconut soup was really tasty, while the pad thai noodle dish was lacking flavor. I had to get up to ask for soy sauce and chili sauce. My tea was never refilled. Needless to say service is horrible at this place, food is ok, but a bit expensive. I will never come back to this place.
By far one of my favorite thai restaurant in the Metroplex. Everyone that I had recommended this place too loves it. The food is pretty good compared to every other Thai restaurant that i have been to. My favorite is the Roasted Duck Curry, Thai Basil Fried Rice and the Drunken Noodles. I come back here like once a month just to get my fix for Thai food. The place is pretty quiet, the service is good and price is pretty reasonable. Not the most upscale / fancy restaurant but the flavor and quality of the food is impressive.
Proof that sure numbers will float just about any decent business, but not everyone is so easily impressed, especially after dinning in much more reputable Thai cuisine restaurants. The worst impression was due to the significant deficiency of the staff and inattention. Its almost as though we ceased to exist after our meal was served, and theyll never look your direction, unless you wave them down. Im assuming that theres a language barrier, but its possibly more than that. Our appetizer wasnt brought out as we ordered, and was only offered toward the end. There might as well not exist a spice scale, 1 - 5, at the place, as we all ordered 3 & 4 to absolutely no avail. We need plenty of chili paste to spice up the dishes. Actually the entrees at this restaurant are akin to typical bland Chinese cuisine. Drink refills were insufficient, as they has not ability to observe empty drink and we had to request everything. The food was hot and did arrive in a timely manner. The place was busy when we visited, with a very rushed atmosphere. The decor is similarly bland and basic. Not a good representation of Thai cuisine. Unfortunately we cannot reccomend. Military and law enforcement discounts are not offered, unless in uniform.
Eaten there twice now and I am yet to be disappointed. The chicken satay is fantastic, a must when you go there. The peanut sauce that comes with it is thick and rich. The second time I ordered there I asked for extra peanut sauce! The Mussaman curry was nice. It thicken up when the rice was added. Overall a great little Thai place and Im sure Ill order from again. The servings will easily last you 2 days if youre ordering for yourself. Great value for money and friendly staff! My friends ordered the Panang curry and red curry which had a chilli kick if you order it standard (1 thru to 5 chilli rating). 3 will be the right amount of you want that spice but still be able to taste the food after the second mouthful.
Best Thai restaurant in Arlington/Mansfield area. I love Thai food, especially Pad Thai so I go try out each restaurant I can in the area to decide which is best. Thai House is the best, hands down. I also LOVE their Khao Soi, soooo yummy. Service is also always great and fast. I order and pick up in 15 mins. I truly love this place so much.
I always thought the staff were very polite, the service good, the food super good, wife got addicted to it and we liked the little salads they gave us before the meal, it was a really nice, refreshing feeling. Thank you guys for many nice little memories when we lived in Arlington, I think well want to come back soon to reminisce...
Be aware, their side salad that they bring out has nuts for anyone who is allergic.I ordered a thai tea and salmon green curry. I asked my server if it has nuts and she replied that it did not. What she didnt tell me was that the small side salad has nuts too.My throat became itchy after I ate it. I lost my appetite as I tried to think about other things to keep my mind off it. My nut allergy is not that serious so I can pass it after drinking my entire thai tea and forcing myself to eat a little. The allergy thankfully went away after 20 minutes and I was feeling okay. Two hours later after I used the restroom, my entire body is breaking out in hives and my throat is swelling up. I believe my body is digesting the nut in my small intestine and my body is rejecting the nut.
So, its hard to compare to our normal place. This one isnt bad. We had the Tom Kha soup and Panang with chicken. I liked the Panang. Its creamy and flavorful. Lots of veggies which we loved. I didnt know there was baby corn in it so I had to take it out because of an allergy. Although we like ours a level 5, this level 5 was not hot. The level 5 on the soup, however, was perfect. So the heat is inconsistent. As for the Tom kha... The lemongrass is way too overpowering. Its good, but I also couldnt enjoy it and neither could my husband because of constantly chewing on lemongrass, and I bit down on a hard stalk. I recommend removing the lemongrass after the flavor has been incorporated. I wish I could give more stars, but I just cant :(
Okay these guys are the best in Arlington. LOVE THEM!!! I also liked that place over off 360, but theyre not nearly as good. Another one that is also good is that one up on Fielder and Randol Mills. I also dont like them as well as Thai House, these guys are the best, I try to go as often as I can!
Heard this was another fabulous option in Asian food. Unfortunately, since I needed help in understanding what their specialty were, I wound up with some dumpling stuff that was just gross. I think my expectations might be too high since I have spent soo much time enjoying Panda Delight. Sorry, just real disappointed.
Green Thai Curry (sweet peas, carrots, eggplant, zucchini, bell peppers and fresh basil) with seafood ( shrimp, scallops, calamari and immitation krab) with # 3 spice was delicious. I was skeptical to get the seafood when she said imitation krab because I do not care for imitation krab at all. Usually I will not get the dish if it has imitation krab in it. But this was quite delicious. And the amount of spice was perfect. If you are ordering take out, expect at least a 20 minute wait because they get a lot of take out orders. ( So call ahead be if possible)
Always great food, but a little disappointed tonight... stopped by at 10:10p and wanted to get a togo order but they said they were closed. Hours say open till 10:30p. I understand it’s almost closing time, but I wish if restaurants really close at a time they would put that time as closing time.I will still be back because great food and usually good service!
I called there at 10 to place an order when they close at 10:30 and the guy refused to take my order said that theyre closing. I called just to be a courtesy because I had a 5 minute drive to get there and it was for a takeout order. Well that one just burned himself. I will never go there.
Poor customer service. Waiter came and ask for tip, 😡and when I denied because we waited for 15 min just to get water and They attend first the customers that came after us. As I did not put Tip Waiter said don’t come back to restaurant. 😡😡😡. Instead of saying sorry for poor customer service , he blamed customer.

2022-07-12Came here to eat after 5 years. Food quality went down. They now serve food in one time paperPlate. Worse food. Super greasy noodles and super dry food. Rice is not even boiled. Tom yum is full of onions and tomatoes with no mushrooms. Please avoid. DO not waste your money here.

2021-10-10Best place for drunken noodles and fried rice! We’ve been here several times and have never been disappointed! Not to pricey, very generous portions. It’s a must try if you haven’t been here.

2022-07-06This is my favorite Thai place in Arlington. I am very particular about Thai food. I compare them all to the best Thai food place Ive ever had, Thai pepper, back home in Lubbock, TX. After several attempts searching for the one thats close. I found it. Thai house is delicious. The owners and staff are very polite. The food is fresh and so flavorful. The restaurant itself is clean and quaint. I get Thai house as often as possible. Im not sure I will ever find anything like Thai Pepper along my travels, but man, does Thai House sure come close!

2022-07-19Prior review:food but a little inconsistent visit to visit..UPDATE July 2022. Not worth my time even for lunch fare. The flavor is no longer there and the prices considerably higher to boot. Also now serving on paper plates... which seems just odd for such a dine in Thai restetaunt.

2022-05-02Our family has been going there for ten years. Our most recent visit we were disappointed with the quality of the entries. My wife presented the pad Thai. We paid an extra $3.00 for shrimp and only received three in the entire entry. I ordered the yellow curry w beef and pieces of I don’t know what kind f meat with the order. If this place wants to cut corners, they can do it with our is from now on. Sorry

2022-07-30Came here with my Mother Wed. July 27th.It was a little late in the evening - around 7 - so we were having trouble finding a place to eat that wasnt already packed. My mother and I had a great experience! I ordered the Tom yum Gai soup and the Spicy Basil Noodles. The spice levels are adjustable which I love since I like my food on the more spicier side. I got the noodles at spice level 4 and it wasnt unbearably hot, just right. The soup was delicious, with a slight kick that even my mom who cant handle spice could enjoy. Portion sizes were good; my mom and I shared the soup and ended up having to get boxes to take our noodles home. Prices are great as well; the soup and Basil noodles only came out to be around $20! Very good experience and I will definitely be going back!

2022-08-16I’ve been coming here for years and the food is always top notch. After seeing an episode of Better Feed Phil I searched for a local Thai restaurant that served Kao Soi and realized The Thai House had it on the menu. I’ve had several of the curry dishes here and they’ve all been outstanding but the Kao Soi was phenomenal. It looked just like the bowl that I saw in Bangkok on TV. It was amazing, do yourself a favor and come eat here!

2019-05-08Great option for Thai food in an area saturated with so many choices. Flavors tasted very rich and presentation was great. Service was exceptional and very accommodating to children. When you see Thai locals dining here, you know its authentic and will solidify your choice to eat at this great place. Give it try, you wont be disappointed.

2022-08-16My very first time having Thai food and it did not disappoint. I tried the Kao Soi after seeing it on a tv show. Whoo! This will be my come to spot from now one. The Curry Puffs were amazing also. Wonderful and friendly staff.
