Great place to live!! When I applied for an apartment I was taken to each floor plan and given a tour!! I fell in love with the Sentry and have been here for four months!! Great maintenance staff as well. Any questions or concerns they help right away!! Office staff is great as well!!! Highly recommend moving here if you’re looking for a new place to live!!
I love these apartments. They had my apartment ready extremely fast, so I can move in. Everything was extremely clean, no smells, no stuff on the carpets, everything was so clean. The Staff at the Lynx Apartments are extremely awesome, friendly, and so caring of their residence. Every or any time I have an issue I’ve called and reported it to the office, and every issue was fixed promptly and effectively. Their wash rooms are so clean and neat. I love everything about this apartment complex.
This is an awesome complex. Although there has been problems in the past, specifically nothing was getting done with my work orders, but there was recently a new maintenance man appointed to run everything and he has been killing it!!! Him and his assistant have been knocking it out if the park!!! I believe his name is Jacob but I might be wrong. I can already tell a shift at these apartments rapidly! If you’re looking for a greatly located property, great team to help, and amazing units this is the place to live!!
I have been without hot water for over 2 months straight (literally NO HOT WATER)!. When I asked about this issue they keep telling me it’s because I live to far from the boilers therefore I won’t have hot water! Then I was told it was a leak! Then I was told it was the boiler! For the record prior to née management taking over I had hot water! I am feeling totally targeted and discriminated against! Management had shown absolutely no concern regarding my water issues!! I do not recommend this place to anyone!
These apartments have a disgusting smell that’s hard to get rid of. They never have hot water or it’s always turned off. Mold is definitely a problem. Yes, maintenance will come into your apartment while your not home and without permission. We’ve even had things come up missing, reported it to management and nothing was done. Management doesn’t take care of there tenants.The list goes on and no, I wouldn’t recommend these apartments.
Horrible. Lived in a two bedroom for a year and had an alright management. Then I moved into a studio this year. We had more people take over and they started renovating the outside of the complex. I had so much problems with the studio. My air conditioning went out and it took them two weeks to fix it. A water leak in the kitchen. The dishwasher wouldn’t drain. Took them another two weeks to come in and fix those. Multiple water shut offs every month for the whole 2 years I lived there. One time I went a whole week without hot water and nothing was taken off the bill. Well I end up getting a water leak in the bathroom and it lifted up the plank. Called them about the leak and it takes them about a week to come fix it. About two weeks later I noticed little water puddles on the floor and the carpet started to get wet. I saw a little bit of mold on the drywall in the bathroom and the closet. I notified them and it took another week and a half to come fit it. And they sent people to come clean the carpet. They ended up ripping part of the drywall by the toilet to get to the pipe. I told them the mold was growing, if they were going to fix it up. They said they would come back later that week to replace all the drywall. I heard nothing from them for a whole week so I kept calling. I found out new management took over during all of this. I finally went to the office to met the new people trying to see if they could help me out and get this mold fixed. They got everything on paper and said maintenance should go in tomorrow. I didn’t hear from maintenance that week. Went again to the office and asked if I could be moved into a different apartment since maintenance wasn’t coming. They said they were going to look around. I kept bugging them about another apartment for a week and they said I could come in to look at a few that they had. So I go in the next day. Switch there story and say they rented the others out and only had one for me to look at. This apartment that they showed me had nasty carpet, smelled, was completely dirty and had old tile from the 80s. I asked if they had anything updated like mine. They said it would be a couple of weeks till they had anything. So my dad gets involved at this time. He calls and is being respectful to them trying to see if they could move me to anything since I have lupus and staying in mold is very harmful. They told him they gave me that one option. He kept looking for other options, seeing if they could place me into a hotel till they can fix my apartment. At this point is when they switched on my dad and started cussing at him and hanging the phone up. They said they weren’t going to help me anymore since they gave me that one option. My dad notified cooperate office. He was able to break my lease to get me out of that horrible place.
I moved out after 3 years. In the last year or so there were 3 different managers and the whole place went downhill. Water was always off. Laundry facilities were trashed and never worked. The outside was always a mess. Customer service is horrible. Complaints and/or issues were never taken care of. Would not recommend.
I usually wouldn’t write a review but what happen is unacceptable and frankly it’s against the law. I was offered a price for my lease renewal that was written on paper that was posted on my door and the writing on the paper was done with pencil. I have a text where I sent it to my family member stating it was that price and how excited I was that it drop for lease renewal.I took the time to go into the office the day prior to get the lease set up. And took that form with me. The employee attending me even stated ok we great you will be locked into that price for the 12 months lease correct? I said yes. And he stated he would email me the lease. So I took a nap and when I awoke no lease had been sent.This afternoon they sent me my lease renewal and the price listed for the new monthly rate was incorrect. When I texted the office employee handling my lease he stated that I was wrong and that on the paper I turned in the day prior it lists the price he put on the lease renewal.So I went straight into the office to see the paper I gave him and saw the writing wasn’t the same because now it’s done in blue ink. He said it’s the same paper which it is but it’s not the same writing and like a fool I didn’t take a photo before. All I have is my text but they refuse to change it.It’s even worse since I lost my job prior and barely have had enough to make rent payments while unemployed so it’s not like I can just move out. So here I am warning others that if this company is going to hire people who do things like this... you should look elsewhere to live. They have way too many issues for anyone to want to stay here and this just shows you why they mainly empty.
My first apartment to live at after college. The management switched once while I was there and it was still awful. They have hours posted saying they are open saturday, but never were. The pool in the summer had hair in it. My ceiling leaked and they kept telling me they fixed it then it would leak again. I contacted corporate about a smell in my apartment and I was told they can not do anything for me. Maintenance was nice but delayed because Im sure they always were fixing things at this place. There were times they did not pick up after themselves after fixing things. (fixed leak in kitchen and moved all the stuff on top of my fridge and left it out with the light on all day. Worked on patio and left a mess and they expected me to clean it up before I moved.) Trash was not supposed to be outside peoples doors but literally people would set trash bags out. Quarters always got jammed into the laundry machines. Not pleased at all and would not recommend this apartment to anyone. They are too old and disgusting. Trust me you can find a WAY better apartment for the same price because that is what I just did! Gave my 30 day notice and was out in a week.
Do not live here previously called The Lynx Apartments!!! You will have no hot water atleast 3-5 times a weeks , water will be cut off for hours and management won’t notify you 1hr later. Maintenance man walking into houses without permission of renter. If I can I would give this apartment complex 0 stars. Also changing the name of the apartment complex so newly tenants won’t see old reviews 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
The few times I’ve been in to ask questionsJoe was a gentleman about everything and all the questions I had . He is a very pleasant person that takes pride in his work ! It takes a kind and gentle person to work with different characters most of allPatience . If something needs to be done he tries his best to make the residence feel like something will be done no matter what the problem is .! The place is super clean as well!!! This place has been cleaned up !
Worst apartment Ive ever lived in. There were roaches when we moved in. Mold came up through the carpet. There was mold inside all the air ducts and on the vents and their solution was to tell maintenance to just repaint the vent covers. Our front doorknob wouldnt turn all the way, they never fixed it, and one night it just wouldnt turn at all and we had to climb out over the fence to get out. The ceiling over the shower leaked showers of water until it fell through. We had a giant hole in our ceiling while they fixed it. They fixed it wrong and it did the same thing again. We moved out while there was a giant hole in our ceiling. The ceiling bowed and shook everytime the neighbors above us walked across their floor. They shut off water all the time for whole days and wont tell you beforehand. We made sure when we moved in that we wouldnt have to hire a carpet cleaning company when we moved out but when we handed in the keys - several managers later since everyone kept leaving, we went through like 3 people in the time it took to sign the lease - the office lady sneered unfortunately we had to had to hire carpet cleaning. She said it was in the lease. It wasnt, so I told her to show me where it said that and wed pay for it. Luckily theyre lazy and didnt come up with a way to con us out of anymore money before we got out of there as fast as possible. The ridiculous thing is that this place isnt even cheap. If you want a good apartment for a good price, with great managers, go to Sundowner, you can get a one bedroom for under $600.
As you can see by the rest of the reviews this is NOT a nice place to live! The staff in the front office is terrible the new manager is a complete B**** for lack of better words! She is extremely rude and does not try to fix anything. When I went to look at the apartments before signing my lease I was shown a nice neat clean apt. when I got keys mine was disgusting!! I was told they would have it cleaned however they did not I had to move in a dirty apt and clean it myself. The I was told my cable and water was included in my rent which is supposed to be $680 a month that was a LIE! My rent is near $900 a month after all the fees and water I would never have gone with Suddenlink when my husband works for direct tv and I can get that FREE! Then my electricity that was supposed to be transferred never was transferred and even though they should me the signed paperwork showing they were supposed to have this done they took 0 responsibility in covering my now $612 electric bill! My AC was broke for 3.5 months and the manager in the office told me well its not really that hot to me thats rude and I pay rent so this should have been fixed immediately. Due to the AC issues my electric bill is always well over $200 for a tiny 2 bedroom apt. You can stay in a nice house for the prices I am paying to stay in this hell hole!! Do not do it!!! I only have hot water in 1 bathroom my dishwasher is broke my AC never works the bathroom sink leaks and still $900 a month! Worst apt I have ever lived in and the customer service is just as bad.
I lived here and this use to be called the lynx! I’ve had a horrible time living there my bath tub was sinking in and I’ve complained I’ve and over , it gets extremely hot inside the apartments even when the ac is 65 degrees. Maintenance man will walk into your house with out permission.. I had to leave the apartment because it was to hot and unbearable to live
I lived here for a year and could not wait to leave. The front office staff and management is horrible - the worse experience Ive ever had. They were completely unorganized and unprofessional in every manner and rude most times. There was a period of 2 weeks were I thought I had bed bugs and went to the office every other day because they werent doing anything for me. And when they did call the exterminator it took them 4 days to come out, they set a trap and came back a week later to do a general spray. I was miserable and completely eaten up by some kinda bug - never found out what it was because neither the exterminators nor the apartment complex came to check on the apartment. The washers were always broken. If you were lucky one would actually work. I left for a long weekend and came back and my car window had been shattered. I moved out June 1st, turned in my keys in person, and a week later received a phone call asking me to turn in my keys or I would be charged. I would give them a 0 rating if I could. I cant think of a single positive thing to say about living there.Its been three months since I moved out and Im still getting calls about charges I owe. I moved out June 1st. I turned in my notice more than 30 days prior to my move out date. And now Im receiving calls from debt collectors for rent I owe for June 1-16. I had to call to get the charges cleared from my account. It has been a never ending struggle with this complex.
I moved in on May 6th of this year. Within 2 weeks of living there i started having water leaks in the bathroom. Within 2 months i have had 7 different water leaks. 2 leaks In the shower then i started getting mold in the shower tiles. Its took them weeks to come fix it which all they did was paint over it and the next week it came back through the paint. I had electrical wiring issues that was never fix..i had water coming up through the tiles on the floor. I couldnt even cook cause the burners would be sparking at me. This is the worse place i have ever lived at. I left after 3months i couldnt live here any longer. I was always in fear of my life. Do not rent here. Its horrible.
First off... before I even moved in, they already screwed me over. Before I even signed my application, my girlfriend and I reiterated the importance of me being able to at least move in by Aug. 2. The lady that helped me out assured that it would be no problem cause they have a move in date as early as July 31. So I took it thinking that will give me a few extra days to get my stuff moved out of my old apartment. However, when I called about a week or so before my move in date to pay the pet fee, that is when they told me the unit I picked is actually not available until Aug. 7. The unit I picked was further from the loop and in a cleaner area of the complex and now I have been set up with the complete opposite. All throughout the night you can hear the cars passing through, the area is not well lit and there is trash everywhere. If I would have not called about the pet fee I dont even know if they would have called me to tell me about the mix up they had. And because of this, I had to rent a u-haul for a whole day (even though I was just moving in town) just so I had a place to keep my stuff since I was suppose to be moved out of my old apartment Aug 2 but metropolitan could not get me in a unit until Aug 3. The original unit I picked was on the 1st floor and now Im on the 2nd. They did not offer to help accommodate me even though it was their fault for the mix up. The stairs leading up to the unit looks like its going to fall through any minute. The linoleum is old and cheap looking. To finish this off.. I would agree with everybody else on here that has said if you can, try to avoid this place.
It is Illegal to shut off water for an apartment community at-large for repairs without giving all tenants a 24-hour notice. If you live in the Metropolitan apartments, make sure that you let management know that you are aware of this; they are required -by law- to compensate you in rent reduction for any losses (time) incurred by shutting off water without a 24-hour notice.Absolutely terrible service & maintenance scheduling. Water for the entire complex is shut off randomly & without notice for hours at a time, multiple times a week, while management nearly berates you for even calling in about it. You can get better service and utilities in public housing. Do not rent here.
Wish i could put no stars. There are way too many issues at these apartments to recommend anyone to live here. They will lie to you about deals and not be helpful in correcting their issues. The new management should have trained their employees better because now they are committing fraud.
Save yourself the worry & stress & do NOT move here. There’s a reason why they have such a low rating. If I could go back in time I would’ve listened to the negative reviews that far outweigh the positive instead of trying to give them the benefit of doubt. Hopefully, this will save some from making the same mistake I did.
Ive lived here for two months now. I can already tell you. DO NOT MOVE IN. I would give anything to move out already. In the two months Ive lived here the water has been shut off 7 times, so dont plan on showering when this happens. Ive had to put in 3 work orders. The wood is rotting and falling apart. The bathrooms are disgusting upon move in. There is hardly any grass. The entire complex is covered in shattered beer bottles from all the college kids drinking. And oh god, if you live on the first floor, good luck getting any sleep. The 4 hours a sleep I get at night are always caused by the wooden floors being so loud even when my upstairs neighbors tip toe it sounds like a damn bull is having a seizure. I do not ever post any reviews, but out of the 3 apartments I have lived in. These have to be the worst. Oh yeah, and the maintenance dont do any work. The just sit in their golf cart and drive around all day. Count the days until my lease is up. Just run. Dont do like I did and fall for the price out of desperation.
Do not waste your time here. Ran a “move in” special only for them to pocket the money and never have our apartment ready for move in. How convenient and unprofessional. The leasing agent tried getting us to sign a lease even when the apartment that was “move in” ready smelt disgusting. She went back and forth telling us the smell was resolved and then said it wasn’t conveniently after another attempt to get us to sign a lease electronically. After finally not being able to resolve the horrible smell and realizing she couldn’t trick us into signing the lease here we are over a month after the initial application for our apartment and just NOW contacted us with a whole new apartment. Listen to all of the bad reviews here because it’s definitely a warning sign! Don’t live here. Thankful they gave us the run around and our apartment was never ready because we dodged the bullet on this one.
Keep Looking else where!! I have lived here for 2 years and I am ready to leave as soon as my lease is up. They shut off the water several days a week without notice. The staff is HORRIBLE...very rude! My dish washer did not work when I moved in and I asked for them to replace it, and when they did they gave me an old MOLDY one they had stored away. When I complained they came in and tried to clean it, but it still stunk up the whole apartment when I tried to use it. The walls are EXTREMLY thin. Just NO!!Update 03/03/2021Under new management again?! Thats like 5 in the past 2 years. I am sure the new management will see the writing on the walls and move on, just like the rest of them. Dont do it!Update 04/15/2021Did I mention my unit had mold in the vents and thats why they let me out of my lease early to move out? Yeah, and then moved someone in soon after.
I wish I had known more before I moved in here. Being new to Lubbock and this location being close to my job, knowing what I know now I would gladly pay the extra $200-300 a month to live in a nicer place. Since I’ve moved in, beginning of March, the water has been shut off 8 times. Currently, there is no hot water for almost 5 days. The first week we moved in the police were really active in my building, I haven’t felt safe since, the grass is dead, there’s always trash under the stairs, the stairs have nails sticking out of them and literally feel like they are going to collapse, my door doesn’t have a peephole or a safety deadbolt that locks only from the inside, and people don’t clean up after their pets. The apartments are nice on the inside considering they were build before the 80s, and the staff is nice but this place is not comfortable. There are far more cons than pros. I would NOT recommend.
Would not recommend to others. Everything in the apartment is poorly put together and very cheap!!! A/C hardly ever works properly and electric bill is always ridiculous. I was told I would get a new appliance with my renewal and that never happened, I always have to put in a maintenance request twice because it never gets done in a timely manner. I am currently still waiting for them to come fix my maintenance request I put in over a week ago now! Very frustrating and not a very helpful staff.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!! I have lived at this complex for almost 5 years (only due to financial restraints do I continue to live here, however due to a sharp decline in customer service and upkeep since a change in property management, we will be moving out as soon as our lease is up) and the entire time it has been a myriad of issues. The apartments are in need of major renovation!! The windows and doors do not fit properly and there are open drafts all throughout our apartment, we have notified the office staff and they have done nothing to correct the issue.The apartments are very old and in need of modernization. Do not trust the photos on the website, I can assure you they are not an accurate representation of this complex. The complexs idea of renovating is slapping a fresh coat of paint on everything. We have had all types of issues with the AC breaking down (which is not a top priority to the office in fixing asap), plumbing, and the laundry rooms are a joke - the cold water is hot and vice versa, The complex is constantly turning the water off without bothering to notify the residents which is highly inconvenient when you are needing to get ready for work or school. Also we have had an issue with COCKROACHES. We keep our apartment super clean to help with the problem but continue to see bugs despite pest control treatments which suggests the other tenants in our building are dirty and the office does not care or appear to be sympathetic to this disgusting concern and are satisfied with the current unsuccessful treatment. Also the tenants in the buildings with multi-bedrooms are SHADY. Our cars have been hit and banged up in the parking lot several times. We have complained to both the office and Lubbock Police Department about our neighbors constant noise violations, domestic disputes, etc and they have DONE nothing to make us feel safe about the issue. Do yourself a favor, keep looking for a better place before deciding to live here!!
Ive been living here for about 2 months now and let me tell you if you are looking for a place where the management is not interested in cleaning up and making any changes to make this place what it could be then this is not the place for you. We have neighbors up above us that are up all hrs of the night and have No respect for others, among other things they do outside that I will not discuss. But I am pretty sure its not legal if you know what I mean. And along with this activity we have to smell this activity.There is dog poop everywhere and management doesnt care. We have complained but nothing ever seems to get done with this place. There are no lights or fans in the bedrooms or living room. Im still waiting for a water leak to be fixed,and every time we get an email about water being shut off they never do it and dont let us know. We need our refrigerator to be replaced and they wont do it. The manager is so rude and lazy. We have also been told by other people living here that people have broken their lease because of loud people above them. This place didnt fix the problem but rather let those people leave. I will be leaving this horrible place they call The Metropolitan Apts. Believe me I was skeptical when I read the reviews but take my word for it they are all true. I have also spoke with some of the neighbors around here and from what Ive been hearing is they really arent picky about who they let move in. I give this place 1 star rating and I should probably be giving it no stars but reviews wont let you wright a review without at least one star. I hate to write bad reviews but have given them multiple chances. They just got new management and nothing has changed. Dont move here unless its your only option and your desperate!
Weve been out of hot water for 3 days now. They tell us itll b fixed today then today comes around then its tomorrow so on for days now, now they r telling us it wont b fixed until next Tues. Like seriously!! 😠 Dont ever I mean ever rent from the metropolitan apartments n lbk they r absolutely horrible. Every week they shut our water off literally 3 times a week bc this whole property runs off one water line instead of having a shut off per building. Obviously its the same situation for the hot water. Washer and dryer r always broke too half the time I have to go to an offsite laundry mat to do my laundry. I CANT wait for my lease to b up so I can move worst place Ive ever lived.
This place is a joke! There are constantly problems with the water and now it’s the electricity! It’s after 10 at night and the electricity is off in our building (but not the others). LPandL says it’s an apartment “issue “ but we can’t get anyone at the apartments to reply to the “emergency “ maintenance number. This isn’t the first time. We have tried to reach them before on other maintenance emergencies with no reply till the next business day when we had to wait for the office to open then get excuse after excuse as to why we never received any help. Don’t buy into their stories of new management or updates etc. this is a horribly maintained property with no concern for their tenants!!!
I toured and thought about moving in back in march 17 since they had a really great move in special, however it was definitely too good to be true. My dad was helping me look at apartments and when we walked up to the apartment we noticed the stairs were really rickety and kind of rotten and when we went into the move in ready unit we immediately noticed a couple of dead bugs (spiders and a roach) and noticed how dirty it was around the toilet and shower base, we headed back to the office and my dad mentioned my boyfriend worked at the mall and The property manager or whoever showed us the unit said in a really rude way well you do realize youll have to be able to prove you can afford this apartment right sweetie and that was the biggest thing that turned me away it wasnt a pleasant experience.
I love these apartments. They are very homie as well. Rent isnt bad. Havent seen bugs, only In the winter because it gets colder obviously. Nothing their bug Guy cant take care of.(Comes monthly)Dog friendly and a park where you can take your dog/ kid.Recommend living here
Absolutely hate living here. The water gets shut off with out notice! I had hair dye in my hair and went to go wash it out and no freaking water !!! My master bathroom gets no cold water only boiling hot! My AC was broken and they replaced it 3 months later making my bill go from 120 to 480 and they didnt do anything about it !!! Not to mention they tell you your paying 765 but when your bill comes it really looks like 960 and then thats not included in your lp&l Bill !!! This place is a scam artist ! Everything people are saying about this place is real !! And did I mention their washer and dryers are always broken but never replaced !!!!!!!!!! No lights in rooms ! Dish washer stays broken !!! My car has been broken into twice !!!!!!!!! I even filed police reports ! My daughter bike was stolen off my porch ! I cant wait to freaking move ! I recommend this place to nobody !
I honestly do not know where these bad reviews came from because Ive lived here for about a year now and this apartment complex has been great. When it comes to repairs or any problems the staff always take care of it in a timely and efficient manner. The staff has always been really friendly and helpful. The apartments are modern and well maintained. This place is great. My only complaint is they have a really strict due date and will charge a pretty hefty late fee if you are even a day late so make sure you pay your rent on time.
I change my mind about this place ever since Joe has left this place doesnt get notifications anymore when the water is getting shut off.... I called the office they say I need to update my email, my email hasnt changed and my neighbors didnt get no email either.. The water has been shut off so much I dont understand how the water bill here is so high.. last month I wasnt even home for 3 weeks the water bill was higher then usual I speak with alot of people that live here and we all noticed the water bill went up higher then usual.. we are tired of going without water! The least they can do is send us a notification!!Update: 5/16/ 22 Things have really changed the new management is alot nicer everyone in the office is great and they still have Jacob which is a great maintenance guy working hard seeing that guy walking up and down to apartment to apartment in this heat I dont know how he does it and still manage to keep a smile but Im happier now good management and a good team 💯
I will start off by saying Stacie and Sunshine were awesome staff. However the manager(whose name I cant remember), which shows how important she made me feel. Not good at or with customers/tenants. I lived on the property for 5 months and needed to move to a larger unit. When I inspected the unit, which apparently no one else had, I found it to be flea infested!! Not a few, but infested. When reported, all I got was we will have it treated, then shampooed!! WHAT?? Nooooo..that carpet needs to be replaced!! My only given option was to move back into my smaller unit, which defeated the purpose. There were other units availble, but I couldnt get one because they were newly setup with carpet, flooring and paint!! Huh?? Why not? I liked the unit I was in, prior to the move, but it had issues. Old cabinets, rotten flooring covered by laminate, drawers held together by cheap fasteners, and TONS OF ROACHES!! I would not have known until I got up in the middle of the night, flipped the lights on and BAM!!! They were everywhere!! Then after I moved out, i was billed and tenant tracker was issued. All I wanted was a place for me and my family to live comfortably and affordably and I end up getting screwed by having tenant tracker and owing money!! This place is really run down and old needs a new facelift all insides the outside looks great!! I would not recommend this to anyone at all never!!
The environment is quiet but management is somewhat rude. Also what you see is what you get...they do not fix or clean anything before you move in. So the soap scum, bacterial growth around the toilet, broken doors or frames, or anything else that is wrong is what you will deal with until your lease is over. Also, you are stuck with Suddenlink cable and Internet because they have a contract with them.
DO NOT LIVE HERE! The apartment grounds are covered with dog feces. The pool was always green when I lived there. The walls and floors are paper thin. The complex constantly shuts off the water. The parking lots are not well lit. Youre right next to the Loop so youll hear the traffic. Your mail gets stolen and/or the front office opens your packages. The office staff is hit or miss. Some are nice, others are awful.
If I could give this place zero stars I would, please save your money and go anywhere else but here. Staff is constantly all over the place, they have changed management twice since I first signed my lease in July of 2019, and each time there’s always unexpected changes. Not to mention problems with the water every other week and currently I’m going on 7 consecutive days without hot water.This is possibly the worst complex in the Lubbock area so please do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this complex.
Great service, clean property, and great rates. I have been living here for about a year now, and I have to say that I am shocked by the other reviews that I read posted about this place, my experience has been nothing but good things. One day during the Polar Vortex my heater decided to stop working, so I went to the front office and told them about my problem; within an hour my heater was working again. Dont be fooled by what all the other pre-madonnas have posted about this place, this truly is one of the only nice and AFFORDABLE places to live in Lubbock.
Lets recap this. The water is constantly being shut off for Emergency reasons. Must be pretty dangerous if its always happening. Makes me a bit worried about our health . Now to too That all off we get no hot water for 5 days .Pretty sad Honestly. management seems to always change and offer the same empty promises. If youre struggling I can see why you would live here but if you can try to avoid this sorry place .The pool isnt even open in may. Sounds communist to me .
The staff is so rude. When i moved in, they told me my carpets would be cleaned and shampooed. The night before move in, i went in to see apt and the carpets were filthy, no screen door on patio, and the bottom of sink had been fixed with tape and paint so when i tried placing items they would fall through. After they came to shampoo, the carpet still looked dirty and had a smell to it, I called to let them know about carpet and screen on patio door and the person i spoke to was absolutely horrible. She stated the carpet would stay that way due to wear and tear and if i was not happy with my apt, they would suspend the lease but i would not get my money back. The screen door on patio was never put on like they said they would do and I will be hiring someone to come in and clean carpets again. I feel so uncomfortable putting in an order for any maintenance due to the lack of response in a timely manner and do not want to deal with their attitudes. First work order i had to put in twice in order for them to come out. I would not recommend coming here unless your ready to deal with rude customer service.
The ads they show online is as about as good as good as it gets. They dont tell you that you have to have the crappy Suddenlink even if you have your own cable. That the water is allocated NOT include in the rent they quote you (big no no if you are having to budget) and that it randomly gets cut off for hours! The attitude of the staff is the absolute worst. I hit a financial bump and when I asked about reletting they gave me the worst attitude. I would never recommend anyone to live here unless they were looking for the convenience of the shopping.
Horrible, owners have the worst attitude when you need something fixed. They have the worst AC problems; they wont fix even if it puts lives in danger. They will not prioritize any problems with apartments and wait till you beg for a solution.Everything about this place is bad and I would never recommend living here. They do not review their residents and let openly let drug dealers and shooter live as they please. There have been 3 shooting since Ive lived here.
If you like dealing with no water/no hot water multiple days a week, a maintenance staff that cant fix issues, and a office staff that literally doesnt even have a manager this place is for you. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all cost!Update 6/18/21 recieved a email from the property stating I owed close to $3,000. My lease ended in September of last year and was fully paid when I left.
DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER!This place is such a horrible place to live.No matter how much you clean there are still bugs. Management is the worst. Who cares if your ceiling is falling in and your stuff gets ruined or if you live with mold.They take their time and dont care what problems you have in your apartment.
I know the pricing is decent but just do yourself a favor and find another complex. The maintenance guys are nice and it seems like they do the best they can, nonetheless the quality of the apartment is very poor. I wish I would have read reviews before I signed the lease!
This is by far the worst living experience Ive ever had. I was told very excitedly that my apt would have brand new tile flooring!! The first night as i was standing in my living room floor with all my moving boxes scattered around me it started to rain pretty hard...and I found out why I had new time floors when the rain filled my patio and crept up into THE MIDDLE of my living room! That was friday...Im sat I got to experience my upstairs neghbors shower water dripping almost to a steady stream into my kitchen!!!! I put everything in my move in condition sheet and not only did they not relocate me to the next available opening of a hospitable apt, THEY NEVER FIXED THE LEAK NOR THE FLOOR ZONE!!!!! And now i am the one whos rental history is damaged because I broke my lease even tho I filled out my move in sheet with large red marker stating that this apt as it is, is unhospitable and if it is not attended to violates what I was promised when I signed this lease to have a hositable unit my credit is damaged and they knowingly rented me a flooding dripping terrible apartment..then laughed at me as I begged them to fix it. .i did not pay my final bill and wont ever consider doing it because of how i was treated I would live on the streets before I lived here yall! A water mane is currently still being held in place by duct tape.....BEWARE!!!
The reviews are right. DO NOT LIVE HERE. HORRIBLE service, water getting shut off without heads up for DAYS AT A TIME. Management is very rude. Once I gave my notice that I was not renewing my lease, they stopped answering my calls and made it very apparent they didnt care about my needs the last few months I lived here. For the love of God and all things holy DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS.
I have had the worse luck with these apartments. UNFORTUNATELY i signed my lease with them the 23 of July. It has been hell since then. The apartment they showed me had nice cabinets with new appliances and the crappy apartment was broken down the appliances and cabinets are both outdated by 10 years.The door to the oven was completely broken, the air events were not screwed in, walking into the restroom there was a water bubble on the ceiling that looked like it would bust any second. I immediately put in a request to get these 3 things fixed, I received an email saying it was fixed so I took there word for it.. worse mistake EVER. I arrived at my apartment today Sunday August the 14 at night, walked into my restroom the ceiling had popped. Water was dripping ever where now my walls are soaked of water, the restroom smells terrible like mold and humidity, everything is soaked wet. I tried going to the website apparently the website is not working because it will not let me access it. They have a so called emergency maintenance number you can call which is complete bullshit. I NEED THIS FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
This complex has been nothing but kind, caring and a pleasure to live at. The front staff is beyond amazing and will do anything in their power to make sure you’re comfortable in your own home.If you’re looking for an amazing complex with an awesome staff/matience team. You’re in the right place!!
Worst apartment in lubbock. Ive lived here for a year and Ive put 16 service requests in. My back door didnt shut all the way for three weeks!! Also we showed the maintenence guy some mold that was on the air vent and he said the office told him to paint over it! So glad I leave in 4 days!! 0 outta 10 would not recommend to anyone
Horrible management horrible service horrible place to live. Listen to when people say that you have best stay away from this place. Water does get cut off without notice. You cant get anyone to help you with your problems. I have sent request in only to get an email a little later saying service request completed without anyone even coming to my house. You can spend your money in a better place do not do not move to the metropolitan!!!!
I literally would rather live in a box under the loop. Everything about it sucks. I moved out 5 months ago and still getting things about bills I already paid. Also they charged $98 for water in one month. I said it once I’ll say it again, I literally would rather live in a box under the loop.
I usually wouldn’t write a review but what happen is unacceptable and frankly it’s against the law. I was offered a price for my lease renewal that was written on paper that was posted on my door and the writing on the paper was done with pencil. I have a text where I sent it to my family member stating it was that price and how excited I was that it drop for lease renewal.I took the time to go into the office the day prior to get the lease set up. And took that form with me. The employee attending me even stated ok we great you will be locked into that price for the 12 months lease correct? I said yes. And he stated he would email me the lease. So I took a nap and when I awoke no lease had been sent.This afternoon they sent me my lease renewal and the price listed for the new monthly rate was incorrect. When I texted the office employee handling my lease he stated that I was wrong and that on the paper I turned in the day prior it lists the price he put on the lease renewal.So I went straight into the office to see the paper I gave him and saw the writing wasn’t the same because now it’s done in blue ink. He said it’s the same paper which it is but it’s not the same writing and like a fool I didn’t take a photo before. All I have is my text but they refuse to change it.It’s even worse since I lost my job prior and barely have had enough to make rent payments while unemployed so it’s not like I can just move out. So here I am warning others that if this company is going to hire people who do things like this... you should look elsewhere to live. They have way too many issues for anyone to want to stay here and this just shows you why they mainly empty.
I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR TWO YEARS NOW, ONLY BECAUSE A CERTAIN OFF STAFF WAS STILL HERE. BUT NOW THAT SHES GONE I WILL BE LEAVING, THIS PLACE IS SO DIRTY THEY DONT TAKE OF ANYTHING, EVERY FEW MONTHS WE GO A WEEK OR SO WITHOUT HOT WATER, THE OTHER DAY MY DAUGHTER WALKED THE DOOR AND THERE WAS A NEEDLE IN THE LITTLE GRASS AREA OUTSIDE MY DOOR, NOT TO MENTION THE LOUD MUSIC AND NOISES, I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL DRUG DEALS IN THE PARKING LOT, AND PUTTING IN A MAINTENCE REQUEST IS EASY BUT GETTING THEM OUT TAKES FOREVER, AND YOUR LUCK IF THE OFFICE STAFF WILL COMMUNICATE WITH THE WORKERS TO TELL THEM THERE IS AN ISSUE.
I regret getting this apartment, the neighbors are loud slamming thier front doors hard and thier dogs barking all the time the neighbors cursing and yelling at some one just about every day I go to bed at 10pm cause I have to be up for work at 5:30am and I cant fall asleep, and I just moved in this month, I hope it gets better,

2022-05-09I applied to these apartments at the end of April 2022. I applied online and was told by Victoria Herrera my application was denied. Only to receive three more emails asking me if I was still interested in a unit at this location. I emailed her and stated my confusion. I had personally spoken with her on April 27, 2022, on which she told me that my application had been denied. Victoria then emailed me and ask me had I used a different name? She told me that according to their records they had not denied anyone with my first and last name. I told her no that I had only used my legal name. She then told me that I had used the name associated with my email. I clarified that my email is simply a form of communication and that it has nothing to do with my application and the legal name I used. How was she able to deny my application without knowing my legal name? After a while, she emailed me and stated that my application had been denied again. Well, I am so confused because she told me that my application came in under Dorothy Johnson and they had not denied it but when I reiterate that my name is Dorothy McKinzie and I never applied under Johnson. She claims that I am denied. How is that possible if you only have an application for Johnson? I have asked for the corporate information because this appears like a scam. Whether they rent to me or not. I think that everyone should be aware of the questionable behavior. By the way, I have yet to receive the corporate information.

2022-03-17I would give this place 0 starts if I could. Completely unprofessional staff who don’t care. Been living here 3 weeks now and took them till today to fix anything im my apartment. The code was getting into an argument and kicked out of the office just for trying to get stuff done. Also havent been able to get my mail for three weeks which they’ve said they ordered keys for 2 weeks now and some how they still haven’t gotten here. Their office staff specifically Victoria and Wendy are the two biggest c*unts you’ll ever meet in your life who think their more intelligent and important than anyone else

2022-01-08Never NEVER live here. They do not care about you. They dont fix anything when asked to and STILL say that they fixed it. Building 7 has had NO water since the end of December of 2021 until now (January of 2022.) That is a health code violation and they have the audacity to act like were inconveniencing them while they are all eating take out in the office and not answering phone calls. I have tried to get out of my lease because they have email some tenants saying they can be let out of their lease while they have said nothing to others (i.e me and probably many others) and they told me there is nothing I can do but stay till the end of my lease. These people in the office are so rude to their tenants and dont care about them in the slightest. I wouldnt wish this place on my worst enemy.So please do yourself a favor and keep looking for another place.

Management, neighbors and the actual apartments.My husband and I moved in 6/2020 from out of state. They didn’t have the unit they promised us. No a/c for the first few weeks. Red flag. It was hot. We suffered through it. Joe that was a leasing agent was always kind. The company sold that winter and everything went down hill. We moved to the larger until that summer we were initially going to be in. We were told during their company change over they lost our rent payment via the transfer and we got hit with late fees that were insane. We paid our rent on time every month, from first to the last month on top of their ridiculous water fees!! Funny to pay for others when you don’t have it!!When my husband and I lived in the Lynx now the Birchwood, we’ve called the Lubbock 911 about 10 times. Break ins-neighbors place on the same floor, caught them in action, domestic violence above us, neighbors directly threatening us above us with a juvenile living there also. That happened frequently. They were loud 24/7………..and the manager said she couldn’t do anything about it, due to their rent provisions they were given. They threw trash, cigarettes and yelled racial things our way, so if a manager doesn’t have that power, then what is the managers job!!!!!!????So come to December of 2021. Hot water stops working, among many other times of course. Then December 22nd no water at all. This was building 7. We are told and accosted to get out in three days by the manager in the background and the office workers whom we’ve never met. Such empathy when you are displacing people to say “ I can work 40-50 hours a week and move at the same time” I believe her name is Amy and we didn’t have a new home secured…….No provisions, no compensation….that’s not how that works!!!!!!!!!!!!! Slum landlords!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We hired a lawyer, this situation isn’t over. They have the class to hang up on him. Classy people!! We moved out, a bunch of the buildings look apocalyptic now.RUN!! RUN!! RUN!!

2022-05-02These people are unprofessional and unorganized nothing ever gets done nothing ever gets fixed. Maintenance will never come, and if they do its just to make it worse. Girls in the office are rude. Nobody knows whats going on, and youll have extra charges on youre bill. Better off going next door.

Your actions can cause serious health issues and/or accidents, get to having maintenance do their job, get it done and get it done right!!!

2021-11-22Hopefully maintenance follows through on the work orders because Ive already had enough with the horrible office woman! Worse experience with any apartments. If you dont want to help your tenants you should look for another job. The apartment should have been ready prior to moving in, and I bet the last tenant was charged for damage that has yet to be fixed!

2022-04-05Very unprofessional. I was cussed out of the main office by Victoria for asking for a managers number. I am very sorry for whoever decides to move in here. Will not be recommending to anyone and suggest a whole new staff
