Great donation center! Have had great experience with Krystal and her colleagues for couple of years. They have always been very friendly and made donation comfortable. Latest visit had good experience with Leticia. Will definitely continue to schedule this center as my top preference!
I come to this center every time I am eligible again to donate because they do such a fantastic job. The check in is always quick, and the technicians are great at making you comfortable and making sure all goes smoothly. If you are the fence about donating, give this location a try. And the snacks and drinks are plentiful as well! :).
Super friendly and efficient service! I think if more people knew how easy it is to give blood at this location many would donate often. Make and change appointments online, show up and then relax in a lounge chair, watch TV and eat/drink during donation. Phlebotomists are talented and I’ve never had a bad stick or any bruising in several years. Lots of fun giveaways too…..T-shirts, coupons for free ice cream, water park passes, etc.
Do your good deed for the day and go donate! The staff at the blood center was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. The process was very quick and they were helpful and knowledgeable. They have little tv’s at every station to keep you entertained while you donate and had lots of great snacks to enjoy after your donation.
They were so nice and very careful with me in making it as painless as possible. They were always making sure they drew blood carefully and making sure I dont move during the process. Amazing and caring people taking care of their patients making sure youre also very comfortable during the process.
Great staff, great phlebotomists, and always kind. They always help make the experience enjoyable, even though you are giving blood and getting poked with a needle. They always have a smile on their face and its great they are close. Theyre always open and in need of blood. Donate if you can. Thanks for taking care of Houston!
The professionals at the Westchase Donor Center always make me feel at home. They are very knowledgeable and are always ready for me when I show up for my appointment. I donate here specifically because of the exemplary service.
I went in without an appointment and everyone was very nice. I began with Jose, a great guy and then had Leticia who put the needle in painlessly. Chatted with Nicole too.Good experience my favorite spot to give.
Absolutely amazing place to donate! The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and the ladies are beautiful!. They will give you everything you need to feel comfortable. Snacks, personal TV, juice, ....very comfortable. Go and see them. Trust me!

As someone who has had issues with bruising from blood draws in the past, I am particularly interested in finding a donation center that is efficient, stress-free and leaves me unbruised. This center provides that. Appointments are usually available (even next day), they are always friendly and efficient. You can even review the educational materials and do the health screening before your appointment.
Always stay on schedule, get you on and out efficiently. Staff is really friendly and make you feel appreciated. Great snacks, drinks, and gift ever time you donate.
I Always receive the best of care here at the Westchase donor center. The minute I walk through the door everyone is greeting you with a hello and a smile. I really feel like family here because not only do they greet you they call you by name. Always making sure you are okay and have everything you need for the time you are there. And making sure you understand what is needed after you leave the center. Nicole and Jose gave me the best of care. I really appreciate them. Keep up the good work Westchase team. You all work great together as a team. And do great work for the doners.
The staff is very efficient and they made sure I was comfortable while I donated. I was able to watch TV and use my electronic devices so the time passed quickly. They are careful regarding social distancing and mask use so I felt comfortable being there.
Excellent as usual. Everyone is so friendly, you can see they really care about you and their effort. I look forward to seeing all the happiness here when I donate. Wish more people would, its a life saving cause.

Great experience! The people here care and it shows on every visit. Very friendly at check in. Crystal handled both screener and phlebotomist responsibilities without a blink. Niki was handling others but still checked in with me as well. Remind of the dos/dont before leaving with a snack and something to hydrate. Will be back!
Crystal was an incredible flebotamist, kind, gentle, and sweet. It was easy, quick, and painless. Everyone should donate blood if they are capable as they need it and it is too easy not to!
Everyone here is so wonderful! I have a small fear of blood( and by small I mean big) and everyone is so attentive and makes me as comfortable as possible. Makes the donation process so easy!

The phlebotomists and supporting staff are gentle and kind. They understand those of us who get anxious and work slowly and peacefully with us. The center is bright and clean.

Is it weird to say its fun to donate blood? Well, here, thats exactly what youre in for. There are seven fantastic ladies operating this center like a well oiled machine. They are efficient, light-hearted, joyful and always grateful. They love their work and it shows in how they treat their clients. There are donation centers to my home, but I gladly make the drive to visit with them.

This place is so atrociously run. You walk in and everything is slick. Then they start to ask a number of very personal questions. This ultimately leads to what they call a deferral. This disqualifies you from donating which apparently means that the screening process that they have for the blood is subpar because all the answers to the questions are based on the honor system. If someone chooses to lie, they have no way to check whether the blood is safe. The customer service department is even worse. They are rude, they interrupt you and have no information. Do not waste your time with this scam of a company.

The team does a great job! They were very skilled and caring throuout the whole process of my platelet donation. My veins are very small and difficult to find, but they got it in one stick!

The staff here is unmatched. I warned Nikki that I usually feel a little lightheaded during/after a donation, and she took great care of me while the machine did its thing. Even afterward, when I was the last donation of the day and everyone started to go home, Nikki and one of the other staff (I regret not getting her name) noticed that I looked a little pale and stayed late with me to make sure that I was okay. They turned on the fan, busted out the ice, and made it rain gatorade and snacks. I will absolutely be back. These women really care.

I go here every 2 months and the ladies here are awesome! Crystal Simon and Nikki veal and Danielle are so helpful and make my experience as comfortable as possible. I would marry all three if I could!
Nikki is the best phlebologist I have ever had. I have to get phlebotomies 6 times a year and came here due to bad experiences at another facility. Nikki took great care to only have to do one stick and even had 3 other people come to check that she was going after the right vein. Nikki needs a raise!!
Professional / friendly / caring to patients providing comfort
The nurse was not wearing gloves when she started working on my arm for the blood draw. I asked her to wear gloves, then they switch me to another nurse, who also started working on my arm with no gloves . I asked her again when she will wear gloves, and she said I just washed my hand!! then she weared gloves. However, The nurse who made the initial screening on me was wearing gloves.

Front desk staff is friendly, but I did not feel phlebotomists followed safety guidelines entirely.. after the needle was inserted, another staff member came by to check and she proceeded to touch the injection site with her finger, without wearing gloves or hands being washed.

They harass us with phone calls week after week. Weve asked them at least three times to stop calling.I block their number and receive a call from a new number every week. I have 5 different numbers from Gulf Coast currently blocked.We give blood to MD Anderson and they never call us repeatedly.

Great experience and everyone was lovely. Your blood donation is appreciated and the staff work hard to make the donation process smooth. The actual donating for whole blood was only 15 minutes. I barely started watched Netflix before it was over. 😂Before arriving make sure you eat a big meal with food that contains a lot of iron, like red meat, shellfish, liver pate, kale, broccoli, etc. I bought some 18mg iron supplements beforehand. For a few hours after donating many people feel tired, so be prepared to sit down, have a snack, watch tv, or take a nap--dont have anything important to do. For 24-48 hours after donating avoid exercise or doing anything strenuous.Its good to know that the blood you donate will help save lives. Being health-conscious I really liked the whole grain vegetable crackers afterwards. Will be back next year!

2022-08-17I’ve been donating blood/plasma at the Westchase Blood Center for quite a few years now. In fact I just completed my 96th donation recently. The staff at this location is the main reason that I keep coming back. From the time that you arrive, you’re greeted with a smile. These professionals are very friendly, courteous and efficient throughout the entire donation process. Ms. Nikki, Ms. Crystal and other staff are very attentive and they always make sure that you are super comfortable and you have everything that you need during your donation. Every visit has been a pleasant experience and I highly recommend and encourage everyone to donate blood/plasma/platelets at this location and save lives! 🙏🏼❤️🩸🆎

2022-04-02Every experience I have had at Westchase Donor Center has been absolutely amazing! The staff here are phenomenal, very kind hearted and constantly caring for you. Coming to this location and interacting with the awesome people here that always are appreciative and genuine makes the entire process more rewarding. The staff works together so efficiently making you feel comfortable and in good hands. The staff here work as a team and set such a positive vibe to a better experience. Every experience just gets better and better. This will forever be my go to place! So thankful for the people here and for everything they do!

2022-03-24This is fantastic facility - very clean and very professional - and all the staff are friendly, personable and very good and caring about what they do. Donors’ comfort and ease of mind seem to be of paramount importance to them. Presently, I give blood every 2 weeks because I have to, but after this process is over, I will commit to giving voluntarily at this facility due to the great experience I have had. They are always seeking more volunteers to donate as it is a very important need for many people. Admittedly, they have made an advocate out of me. Please consider donating blood.

2022-04-26Everything was great. Because I am a frequent donor, I have developed some scar tissue in the crease of my elbow. The supervisor Nikki administered the needle, to ensure that the procedure was well done. Staff made sure I was comfortable and relaxed during donation.

2022-04-26Ive been coming to this location for many years.Do I like needles? NoWhy do I keep coming back?For the CONSISTENT above and beyond care provided by EVERYONE here. They make sure Im comfortable and explain every step of the way. Ive only been treated with kindness and respect and they treat each other the same way which is apparent in their teamwork. They are a family here and you are their guest.The center is always clean and nicely decorated.Their variety in snacks and drinks is a plus too.

2022-04-22I’m a new client from out of state of Houston. Drop in 45minutes to closing. There receptionist was cordial & make me & my wife welcomed. The registration & processing was very quick. Before & after donating whole blood they offer us drinks & other goodies. They even gave me a T-shirt. Definitely recommend this placeGrateful to everyone.
