Long review but worth it!!Woah boy oh boy I’ve been wanting to eat at this place since I saw it posted on a foodie forum I’m on. Box Street Social did not disappoint. It’s located in Hemisfair Park along with a parking garage which makes this place super easy to get to!We didn’t have a reservation and we were seated within 30 minutes, we just sat at the park till we received our text saying our table was ready. First and foremost this restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the vibe walking in was very welcoming. When our table was ready we were seated and immediately greeted by our amazing server Vincent. He touched base with us letting us know he was going to get our waters and come back and chat about the menu. Vincent was super pleasant and thorough of the menu. I did my research prior haha so I immediately knew what I was getting but my husband and son were unclear. So I was drooling already over the thought of having a house made donut so we ordered 2 sets glazed and churro. The Milk Bread French-toast was just enough with out feeling like you overate. It was so fresh, super flavorful and light. Hubby got The Burrito and had it made into a bowl with their Toasty Tots! He cleaned his plate which tells you it was delicious! My son ordered their Chilaquiles with Chorizo and said it was a little spicy but again devoured it. I also ordered their Hibiscus Sparkler, gah amazing!!! I would like that in a gallon to go please lol! Son ordered their Iced Piloncillo Latte and thought it was delicious. Hands down the experience and food was phenomenal. I look forward to coming back and trying different options. When it was time to pay for the ticket Vincent came by with his little hand machine and showed us exactly what we ordered along with the total. Again very thorough. If you are wanting a tasty and pleasant experience I highly recommend Box Street!!
OMG. This was such a cute diner, everybody was so nice, and the food was so delicious! The orange/pineapple mimosas were the perfect start to our day, both the eggs Benedict and chilaquiles were absolutely delicious, and their homemade donut appetizers were perfectly prepared! A huge shoutout to our amazing waitress Natalie for making our experience WONDERFUL! 10/10 recommend coming here!
I almost don’t to write a review because I don’t want it to become super crowded.A lot of thought was put into this place- all the little details and quality of the dishes. You know when a city is changing when the food & beverage scene becomes more competitive and developed. This place definitely is one that is setting the new standard. It’s fantastic to see locals coming back to downtown.
Pepperoni and sauce pizza was great. my niece did not like the Margherita pizza said it was missing flavor and not enough olive oil and the tomatoes are raw small pieces on top . The garlic knots had no garlic flavor. The lady servers were great I wish I had gotten their names .
Let me just say this place was definitely a vibe. Not to mention every detail in the décor of the restaurant was so chic and cute. The staff were over the top, all had great customer service. The drinks and food came out fast and HOT. I ordered the Thai Chili Chicken Wings. The drink I had were Don’t Tell Danny “really a drink for people who don’t drink heavy”, Bambler, Mimosas, and Rosé. I went right after my class graduation an it was every bit of amazing. If you’re looking for brunch and nice place to go with your girls THIS A SIGN TO GO.S/O to the barista Lesley she was the bomb an on point.
Service was great, only downside is reservations are like two weeks in advance. Their Instagram says they are not a reservation only restaurant but I wouldnt want to chance the wait since it is a popular brunch place. Definitely a vibe. Perfect for a girls brunch or bridal party.
I saw this on a TikTok while planning our weekend trip to Helotes. The entire place is a vibe, every employee is so kind, our server was extremely thorough and informative. We had the cold brew coffee, Carolines hat, eggs Benny and box st brekky. We started with half and half doughnuts(the churro one was bomb). I recommend this place 100 times over. We went at 9:15 on a Saturday. They do have a 2 hour dining max. It was pretty empty when we got there but full when we left at 10am.
Women Who Mind Their Business had our very 1st Coffee Talk meet here at Box Street Social and it couldn’t have been any more amazing. Our server, Kelly put the icing on the cake with her outstanding service and vibrant personality! We will see you guys soon & everyone request Kelly- you can thank me later!!
Amazing ambiance and location, delicious food and drinks, and awesome service. It is an all around delightful place. We had a large group, sat outdoors in their patio area and we all loved it!! I had the Frozen Horchata and Eggs Benedict. Delicious!!! Will definitely be returning.
I highly recommend Box Street Social! This is the CUTEST little brunch place I have ever been to. The attention to detail here is incredible. The food and drinks are so yummy! Ill definitely be coming back. They are also super accommodating, despite what some of these other reviews say. My party came in at 2:15, without knowing they closed at 2:30, and they still served us without hesitation! The staff was all very nice as well, especially our server Daniella. Super enjoyable experience!!!
I’d come back for the drinks, but not the food. The brekky sando is good, but it’s just a $14 Wendy’s breakfast sandwich. The meat on the bennies was hard and dry and over cooked,( ham, chicken and bacon). Ambient is great. Drinks are great. Wouldn’t particularly recommend.
I came in a moment ago to order a vanilla latte to-go. I was greeted with a warm smile by the hostess, who led me to an equally kind barista who took my order and invited me to return for brunch/lunch. The ambience inside was just beautiful! The vanilla latte was delicious. I WILL be returning!
Simple, Vibrant, Joyful, and Fabulous restaurant with a unique vibe providing ‘one theme’ - we only do brunch, done really well airy style and a Latin flair. Exceptional food with reasonable portion sized plates and packed with flavor. Accommodating, courteous, and attentive managers, chef, hostess, and wait staff. Relaxing atmosphere where you feel welcomed to be yourself. My family really enjoyed the indoor/outdoor seating aspects of Box Street. Looking forward to more exciting times for this go-to brunch spot.
Wandered into this amazing place from the convention center and it was an oasis! The whole place is a vibe and delightful experience 💕 Flat white with lavender was delicious and soothing, french toast blew my mind and my taste buds, staff were the sweetest, I left so rejuvenated!
My mom and I had breakfast there on Monday. Our server was Vincent. He was wonderful!! We liked him so much we needed up ordering more drinks just so we could hang out longer. The food was amazing. We had the avocado toast to share (it was some of the best I have had), I had the chilequilles which was so delicious! I forgot what my mom had but it also looked really good. I had a cappuccino which was so reasonable in price for the size and delicious. I had a Bloody Mary (also one of the best I have had in a long time). We will definitely come back because of Vincent’s service alone. Worth a try for sure!
When I found out Box Street was opening in Southtown, I jumped for joy. Seriously, I did. Our business has used them for catering events over the last few years and we have had amazing experiences every time.We went to brunch at the new spot this weekend. It is modern, clean, and spacious. The servers were fantastic in helping me select items off the menu, and were attentive throughout the meal. I sat inside for brunch, but the outside patio looks cute as well, for when the weather is good.Looking forward to many more brunches at Box Street. Cheers to all for a fantastic addition to Hemisfair Park.
Pretty cool place. Fun and exciting atmosphere. Great hosts and waiters.Breakfast food was a little bit of a let down, nothing popped or wow’d. Got the box st brekky. Everything was fine, but nothing warranting the $14 price. Especially missing something with the box tots.
Visited this place with a group of friends that that were excited to try it. The atmosphere is good, bright, clean and not too loud even though it was full and had music. Atmosphere is 5 star. The service was good enough. Service is 5 star. The food was the weak spot. I had the chicken sandwich and the chicken was dry. It was a $14 dollar chicken sandwich. There are better fast food chicken sandwiches for a lot less money. The others at the table agreed that the food was the let down. Food is 3 stars.
We finally got a chance to visit and can’t wait to return! We all enjoyed the food the vibe and the staff everything A-1!! I’m not sure if they’re always so awesome with kids or if it was just because it was mother’s day but I truly appreciated the staff and the extra touches they gave for my 2 year old. Also always enjoy getting to meet the owners of places and even better when they’re so genuine and humble. Much respect, this establishment was thoughtfully put together and you can tell.
The place is really cute, michelada was good but everything else was just ok… wanted to try the frozen horchata but machine was down.. the service was slow and the food was even slower, it had been 25 minutes and we asked the waitress if our food was almost out and she said “ oh no the food takes 30-40 minutes” ok so finally got our food and the chilaquiles were literally just tostada chips with a little green salsa and a cooked egg not sunny side up…
By the time I got my food I was so hungry I missed the photo op, but that was my error, not a commentary on the restaurants speed of service. Really cute place, great atmosphere, and the server we had was wonderful. The missing star is for the quantity of food for the price. If youre looking to be full off of one plate, you may be disappointed depending on what you order. The French Toast is only one slice of bread for $12 and the mimosa was the shortest pour Ive ever seen.
I live in the 68 apartments and I always go here at least once or twice a week because my family loves the food however today wasn’t the best experience. I came in to place my to-go order like always then I headed to the end of the bar to place my order. The guy ignored me for about 10 minutes until another waitress asked if I needed help then he decided to ask me also. After placing my order, I sat down in the only spot available which was a table in front of the bar that had 2 unopened seats. The to-go order section is only about 3 feet wide and right next to the kitchen so there’s a lot of in and out so I figured I’d sit to stay out the way of the servers. After about 10 minutes a waitress came over with 2 Caucasian males and asked me to move so they could sit, leaving me to stand there looking weird and out of place with nowhere else to sit. This was very upsetting because I spend at least 150$ here weekly and I always tip generously. I was handed my food and sent on my way and I still tipped just because i know its hectic sometimes. However I do feel there needs to be a little more structure when it comes to, to go orders. If you are going to do them, designate an area for people to sit and wait so they don’t feel pushed out or forced to stand. It was very embarrassing to be told to get up in front of everyone as if I was there freeloading.
Came here for the 1st time today and was not disappointed. We ordered Avocado toast, pancake and brekky. Everything was very fresh, taste great and was served to us quickly. The service was fast and efficient throughout the whole meal. We will definitely be back to try more on the menu.
Ambiance was great. The host and server provided excellent service and were very friendly. My friend and I waited 50 minutes for our entrees. She ordered French toast and I ordered the chicken sandwich. We were both disappointed with the quality and taste of the food.It was a disappointing experience. We made reservations a month out with high expectations. We’re willing to give it another try. Fingers crossed things improve.
AMAZING food! When I tell you that the thicc boy pancakes are the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten in my life, I’m not exaggerating! The music and atmosphere was so upbeat, bright, and overall pure joy! The service was outstanding! I love the decor and little touches. 10000/10 recommend!
Visiting daughter in San Antonio. Loved the benny eggs and since we did not want salad with our early brunch, they substituted with their box tots. They were cooked to perfection. Benny eggs were very tasty and great. Loved the location of the place. Very nice, quiet and quaint.
This place took such good care of my grandma when we tried to take her to the Alamo but it was too hot and too far for her to walk. We set her up at a table and left her there while we quick walked to the Alamo. They took care of her so well, set her up with some ice water and a fan outside when they closed at 2:30 and stayed in the store and checked on her every couple of minutes until we came back to get her. Were so grateful for the care and compassion that Kelly and the other staff showed our grandma when we were unprepared to take her downtown.
First time at the Hemisphere location. The food at other tables looked delicious with excellent portion sizes, which is desired given the price of each dish. I ordered the breakfast burrito while my girlfriend had the fried chicken sandwich done hot. We ordered donuts as a starter to share. Our entrees came out before the donuts which was due to our server. She admitted to forgetting to put the order in. More on them later...My burrito was very flavorful. However, it was TINY for the price, about the size of two breakfast tacos but for $14, and was missing one component (fries). It was also room temperature. No sides were included for the price. My girlfriends sandwich was a good size for the price and cooked well. However, the hot option creates a messy experience. The initially perfectly toasted bun turns into a soggy mess as it soaks up the hot, and otherwise flavorless, oil. The fries came out cold and were so hard and overcooked that we initially thought they were sweet potato fries. Overall, she left full while I left hungry. The donuts came after we finished the entrees. We had one churro and one glazed. The churro was cooked perfectly, exceptionally light and not overly sweet. The glazed was clearly undercooked with a raw, doughy interior. This occurred on a Monday during lunch. It was not overly busy.
Awful business. Showed up at noon for a party of four and were given an estimated hour wait. Checked in after an hour and were told we were second on the waiting list. Thats fine, but checked in half an hour later and we were still second on the waiting list. The host just told us its an estimate, not a guarantee. We ended up going to a nearby cafe and waited to see if they would ever call us for our reservation. Turns out they closed up shop and never bothered to call and say they were unable to accommodate us. What kind of business model is that? If you cant accommodate any more patrons, just say so and dont waste anyones time.
We made reservations for this restaurant after seeing so much excitement on social media. When my girlfriend and I arrived we saw their cute decor with some interesting wall art. The host was busy but polite, he has us sat fairly quickly. Once we sat at the table we reviewed the menu, it wasn’t large but featured some tasty looking dishes. We watched as some staff chatted in the two corners of the bar, most by the kitchen and the other few were hanging out by the espresso machine. Unfortunately it took over 5 minutes for us to get water from someone and then nearly another 10 minutes for our waitress to come to the table. By come to the table I mean the waitress who saw we had not had service called her over from where she was talking to the bartender since we sat down. She asked if we wanted anything to eat and the first item I requested was the morning bun that was no longer supposed to be on the menu, not her fault but a bit annoying. I order the French toast with bacon and extra eggs, my girlfriend got the eggs Benedict. They both came out within 6 minutes of ordering, but my girlfriends came out ice cold especially her potatoes. The waitress came back around and took the plate and someone I believe to be the manager brought her the new plate and it was much warmer this time. The food was ok, both plates a bit one note with very little seasoning. The compote being poured all over the single piece of French toast made it overly sweet and drowned out all the other flavors of the bread and fruit. The eggs Benedict lacked any semblance of even salt and pepper, thank goodness for the Canadian bacon. Then upon requesting the bill we had to pay using a handheld machine that makes it supremely awkward while trying to leave a tip for the person who just took care of you. We originally were excited to have drinks and coffee but stuck to the water because our waitress made no effort to excite us or tell us about the menu. It seems like maybe there are some kinks for the management to work out with this restaurant, hopefully they do soon. That all being said I wish them the best in their endeavor.
Had a reservation for 15 for 11 am, waited a while but it was worth it and that made up by giving us complementary apps. I had the chilaqiiles, a mimosa, paloma to drink and tried the donuts and avocado toast for app. Worth the wait, we even say outside in the sun. If youre not a parent then this is for you! Lucky we were a group of moms with no kids present.
I was very excited to try the Box Street so I made a reservation, one month in advance, to have my birthday brunch there, party of 8, Sunday 2:15pm. Until that moment everything was fine, I got an email to remind me about my reservation one day before, perfect. The day of my birthday, I called two hours before my reservation, to asked if I could take a birthday cake, all good. We showed up on time (5 people, 3 of them were running a few min late) we got our table, we sat down and then the wait started….nobody was approaching us, nobody was bringing us a water or a menu, but we did notice servers cleaning tables, rushing etc etc, still nobody approached us. 10-12 min later (around 2:30pm)our server showed up to let us know the kitchen was about to close and we needed to order ASAP. Excuse us? Why would you take a reservation for a group of 8 people right before the kitchen closes? Why this was not addressed on the reminder email? Why the hostess didn’t care to mention this when I called earlier and clearly said “I have a reservation for 8 ppl at 2:15pm”? On top of that, when we were trying to figure out what to do, another server walked next to our table, checked on his watch and shaked his head in a very rude way. We decided to only order a drink and leave, the last two friends that arrived asked for a beer and the server said “no, we are closed” it was 2:40pm, I understand the kitchen was closed, but what was the big trouble to serve ONE BEER? Not even a cocktail, just one beer. We had to leave and found another place for brunch, “great bday celebration” 👎🏼 The awful experience we had and the poor customer service we received really makes me want to give them 5 NEGATIVE stars.
Place was so full & we waited an hour for our table. We received a text that our table was ready and the host had us walking around when there was 2 reserved tables open. Host apologizes that a table was not ready, and expected us to wait more. Other parties were being seated before us, it’s ridiculous. They obviously don’t know how to coordinate seating.I called business to speak to manager and Alex the host had the audacity to tell me that right now is not a good time to speak to manager, to call back at 2 pm.
First off let me start off by saying that the food was fantastic. However, the reason why Im giving this place 4 stars is because they get so busy and are under staffed. The servers dont pay attention to you because they are busy. No one comes back to ask if you need anything else, and it took me 45mins just to get my bill this is a huge pet peeve of mine when going out to eat, otherwise the food is great.
Would never go or recommend this place. They made us wait for more than 2hrs, and their estimated wait time was 1hr-1:45 for a party of 10 which included babies, and if your a parent you know how that goes. Supposedly you can make reservations only if you are physically there, which defeats purpose of even reserving. We saw party’s of 10 or more just walking up to the host stand and being seated immediately. Eventually we got frustrated spoke to management, and for them to only tell us 15 more minutes, and that the kitchen was 1hr behind on orders. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE NOT WORTH IT!!!! Terrible management.
Ok let’s just start by saying: The vibe awesome, the ppl awesome, the wait ummm!!! Back to the wait.. it was alllllllllll worth every second! This place is and should be San Antonio’s TOP list of places to visit. It’s definitely worth waiting to experience the ambiance this place offers. We were there on just a TikToc review to celebrate my daughters 2022, high school graduation. We were serviced by Natalie A party of 13, all alone, and she catered to us.. like no other! Her personality, her patience, her detailed eye, her customer service is amazing! She is definitely an asset to Box Street! I can’t stress enough how very important it is for everyone to visit this place, and ask for Natalie! On top of that we were provided a great blessing while there! I hope, and Pray the person at the restaurant, who knows what I am referring to, sees this. You are a woman of God! I Pray you, and your family nothing but blessings. You don’t know just how heart felt that gesture was to my family, and I. I promise to pay it forward. This world needs more kind hearted ppl. Thanks to you, the server, and all the Box Street family for just going over and beyond, to make this a forever memory for me.
Food was good. Front hostess was rude. We forgot to get validation for parking and when I went back to get it, she said they were “out” of those for the day. And she wasn’t nice about it. I’ve heard so much hype about this place, took out of town friends, and was utterly disappointed.
The pasty red head was more preoccupied with her money table paid little attention to us then added a $20 tip on the ticket despite us leaving behind a cash tip. Dont waste your time or money. Long waits, rude servers. Calling my bank to let them know about the fraud charge, and hope she gets hers. Dont let the nice hosts and decor fool you.
Arrived at 140 knowing they close at 230pm and was told by the staff that they were no longer seating customers. I asked to sit at the bar to make things easier because it had taken us a while to find parking, and they declined. There was plenty of seating and space. Super disappointed this was our experience. Will not be returning.
There are not enough words to describe the Box Street Social experience! From start to finish, this team was every event planners dream. They are responsive, timely, and overall a pleasure to work with. Not to mention, the food is AMAZING. I gave them background about my event, and they customized and tailored their work accordingly. This is no cookie-cutter company. I look forward to working with them again!
Place is as cute in person as it is online and the food is delicious. We made a reservation which is recommended and had great service. Place is dog friendly on the patio which is also a plus. The only downside is that they advertise validated parking but were out of vouchers when we visited so that was kind of a bummer. So be prepared to pay to park, just in case.No doubt this place will do very well.
A fun brunch restaurant that opened this week. Tasty food options - I wanted to try everything, but ended up ordering the hamburger and burrito with coffee. It is in a great location - close to the convention center and walkable. Friendly service. No long waits for food or to be seated, which I appreciated. It was also easy to make reservations through OpenTable. Definitely will be back.
Good food, not worth the trouble. They don’t take walk ins, you can’t make reservations online, and they don’t answer their phone. If you do get them on the phone and they tell you to come in they can sit you, you’ll make the drive and they’ll change their mind once you get there. Save your time and go somewhere else. Places like this hit the ground running and crash months later, this is why.
They say theyre ready to serve you, but that couldnt be further from the truth. Its expected you have a reservation, otherwise they wont let you in. The sign on the front says all day but they close at 2:30. We showed up 1:30 and only got met with the hostess with attitude and correcting me with its all dayISH and theyre book for the rest of the day ( I guess she meant till 2:30). Anyways they keep it pretentious and exclusive only catering to the rich, at least thats how the hostess advertises the establishment. What a joke of a place. Maybe you should advertise reservation only so I dont waste my time and money looking for parking, then payed for parking only to walk up and be turned away. Save your time people, box Street social is anything but social.
I checked the IG page around 10:30 this morning to check the menu. No post about the lights being out. I show up to my reservation at 12:30 and there’s no power. We stayed because it was pouring rain outside, but do you think they offered anything to compensate or free drink for the miscommunication? Of course not, besides apologize and say it was out of their control. Which is understandable; however, they mentioned the power was out since 9:30. I checked IG and they posted at 12:20 that the power was out. Why not bother posting sooner? So people don’t make the drive, let alone pay for parking.
I am thrilled that Box Street opened in our neighborhood. It is a beautifully designed space with delicious food. Came here for brunch today. Lots of options for food and drinks. Service was on point. All the staff that came by were friendly and helpful. Our food came out fast and was tasty. Highly recommend Box St. Will be coming back here often to try more items from the menu. Oh, and there is a cute wine/beer bottleshop connected to the restaurant. Welcome to the neighborhood Box St!
It was such a wonderful experience having Box Street Social serve their food and specialty cocktails at our wedding. We were able to do a taste testing prior to the wedding. During the taste testing they were super attentive and asked thoughtful questions in order to finalize the food and drink menu. Our guests absolutely loved the food at our wedding and months after they are still talking about it! Thank you Box Street Social for being a part of our Big Day!
Box Street Social catered our wedding on 9/7. The food was amazing - we received many unsolicited compliments from our friends that it was the best wedding food theyd ever had. Edward and Caroline were very easy and pleasant to work with - they clearly went above and beyond to help us create the perfect day. We also used Box Street for our bartender - we decided to do one signature cocktail with beer/wine. The cocktail was amazing and exactly what we wanted.
I used The Box Street Social for my birthday party in December and they were amazing!! Edward is super easy (and fun!) to work with, and helps you customize a menu perfect for your event. We used them both for catering and bartending and everything was delicious. The servers were all very professional and friendly. I highly recommend them!
They catered our wedding and captured every detail we requested. We had multiple diet restricted guests that felt catered to every need. The food was amazing and guests have all commented it was by far the best wedding meal theyve ever had. I highly recommend for any event.
I booked the Box Street Social to serve my wedding reception. Great food! Great service! Our guests loved the unique (and tasty) menu. A wonderful and more memorable alternative to traditional and pricier wedding caterers! The owner Edward was also very easy to talk to and made sure everything on our day was perfect and even boxed up the leftover uneaten food for us to take home.Thank you again Box Street Social and Edward! 100% recommend!!-Edward & Tori
One of the only mistakes we made while wedding planning was not booking Box Street Social as soon as we got engaged. We had a two year engagement and booked Box Street only 5 months before our wedding. We missed out on 19 months of fun planning with this amazing company!!!Bar & Catering was one of the most important details of our wedding. We knew we wanted our meal to not be the basic chicken, potatoes, and veggie wedding dinner. Box Street listened to our ideas and helped us create a unique and tasty menu for our guests. We had 4 passed appetizers & family style dinner. (Honey poppy seed salad with cranberries, pistachio crusted chicken with chipotle creme, bacon wrapped tenderloin with cherry mostarda, three cheese mac & cheese, & brussels sprouts with burnt lemon vinaigrette). Our food was delicious and the service was impeccable. They made cocktail hour & dinner run so smoothly! Box Street accommodated our vegetarian & gluten free guests with ease. We had so many guests complement us on the dinner! The father of the bride had been collecting wine for the wedding for years and we had some really special wine & port being served. They were great at allowing us to bring our own alcohol so we could serve our special wine & port. We also had an fun cocktail tasting & couldn’t choice just one or two cocktails for our wedding. So we had 5 amazing & yummy cocktails for our guests. (Pimms Cup, Gold Rush, Tom Collins, Paloma, & Old Fashioned). They were such a hit and each glass was served with flair. To make the bar line stay down during cocktail hour, they butler passed the drinks! It was a fun touch that we know our guests appreciated.Truly when it came to our bar, Box Street said “yes!” to every single one of our crazy ideas. Speakeasy tequila/bourbon bar in the basement? Yes! Five batch signature drinks? Yes! Large format ice? Yes! Three different bar locations? Yes! Have Angelo serve a magnum size wine bottle during dinner service? YES! (LOL!)We cannot say thank you enough to Edward, Caroline, Angelo, the cooking team, the bar team, and the serving team for making our wedding so special and run with ease ! If you are looking for a caterer or bartender for your next event, look no more! Book this amazing team for an spectacular event. We can’t wait to host an anniversary party or dinner just so we can work together again!
We cant say enough good things about The Box Street Social! Edward Garcia and his team catered our wedding reception in Mid-March and it was everything we expected and more. Our guests stopped to tell us how good the food was at every turn, and we thought so too!Edward was incredibly understanding, and fun to work with! We planned our reception from 2 states away, and he made the process so easy. He even stepped in and helped my husband and I when we had to scramble after issues with our venue! Throughout the weeks of planning, Edward was kind, thorough, and very professional.I have to tell everyone how good The Box Street Social is, both the team working behind it, and the food!!!We will absolutely book them again for our future events! They helped make our special day perfect, and we cant thank them enough!
Edward with The Box Street Social lent his expertise in helping us craft our wedding menu. He took into account first and foremost our style to guarantee our menu was perfect for the most special people in our lives, while staying true to us. He was flexible in making adjustments based on dietary restrictions and guest total. Unlike many caterers, he also made it a priority to ensure that the display of the food was equally visually stunning as it was delicious. In addition, at the last minute when our doughnut baker backed out he without hesitation jumped in and ensured us he would make it happen in their place so we would not have to stress about the inconvenience. This is a team that genuinely cared about the intentionality and success of our wedding day.Edward and his incredibly professional and energetic staff were a bride’s dream. Look no further!
Perfect brunch spot with the besties. We grabbed a seat at the bar since we didnt make a reservation. This place is on fire! We started with drinks. Carolines hat fresh lemon juice, housemade strawberry syrup, sparkling wine, London dry Gin & mint for garnish. Super refreshing for the Texas heatwave! The girls had an old fashioned & bloody mary. We ordered & shared the homemade warm doughnuts and wow yum! I had LeBreakfast petite a kinda of a French omelet with cheddar cheese & house made salad. The girls had the milk bread French toast whipped lemon marscopon, berry compote with candied nuts and the Egg on toast bread with a side of bacon. The entire breakfast was delicious.

2022-06-15This was such a cute spot. Good food, the environment was chill and cozy. Kelly our waiter was the best! So friendly and easy going,we were on vacay and she also recommended other spots to hit up. The donuts were so good! I definitely recommend anybody to hit up this spot for a good time brunch place. And for the families, there a real pretty park next door. Big swings, shade and cozy chairs, plus a water spot where the kids can get wet at. Definitely going back.

2022-03-15The vibe is so worth the wait! So beautiful and lots of natural light and the staff is so sweet.I had such a hard time finding the place but it’s past the parking garage, next to the hemisphere park. The food was just okay, but the bartenders were awesome and drinks made me feel fancy. The box street breaky plate and two drinks was $50 so be prepared to spend some money. Next time I go, I’ll do outside dining because it’s also just as beautiful !

2022-07-18We tried this restaurant for the first time and it did not disappoint. They offer a good brunch and cocktail menu. The food was great! The customer service was even better! Vincent (I think thats his name) was very attentive and polite. If you havent been, I highly recommend!

2022-06-14Cute restaurant in Hemisphere Park with patio seating with fans, misters and umbrellas. Inside there are plenty of tables or you can sit at the bar top. Good music with a lively crowd. We sat at the bar top (which is part of the reserved seating). Drinks are great! I had the Pineapple Mimosa and a cold brew. The avocado toast was good and so was the Bacon Jam Cheeseburger. The chilaquiles were just okay, not what I expected. The bartenders were friendly. It took forever to get seated for two and the food also took a long while to come out.

2022-07-11It was my first time myself & my friend went. I had being hearing about them for some time now. The place has a great ambiance and the music was live. Our waiter was so sweet. I can not remember her name but she had a shaved head and beautiful eyes and a rose tattoo on her left hand. She made us feel welcomed and made sure we were taking care of. I had the burger and added bacon jam on it and it was delicious. My friend had the chilaquiles with chicken and they had to take it back because she ask for a fried eye and it was a runny egg. Her order came out right but unfortunately we had to leave earlier than we anticipated. The mimosas were good as well as the Avocado toast. We will be returning soon.Update 07/11/2022: Had a good morning. My friend & I went today and had a good time. We had the steak, eggs & fries. We had mimosa and a side of the box tops. Good service as always.

2022-05-14The food is delicious! I had the breky and everything on the plate was great. We also had the avocado toast and added asparagus which was also flavorful. We were checking out all the plates passing by our table and wanted to try everything! I was also diggin the music/vibe there. Definitely will be going back for another bite soon! Check it out

2022-07-06If youre looking for an Instagram worthy spot for pics and dont care too much about the food this is your place. Very colorful and pink environment there is a mini bar outside to get drinks while you wait. The wait is long and the parking can be a challenge on certain days but I would return. The homemade donuts and my breakfast on a bun were good but you could get the same food somewhere else thats not as pricey as this place. Skip the brekky you can make it at home.

2021-12-20Box St Social Catering- I have worked w this team at various times over the past 5 years. They are creative and great at communicating. They have a level of service and stand that is above most in the area. The food is amazing as well as the presentation and style of it all. Whether it’s weddings or corporate they deliver an amazing food service experience. I highly recommend them for all your catering needs.Box St Allday Restaurant-They had a power outage when we got there but still had a few items we enjoyed, coffee, salad and spicy crab stuffed avocado. It was amazingly good. Service was top notch. The boutique style ambiance was clever and fun. I loved everything about it. I can’t wait to go back and have some potatoes and bacon.

2022-01-10If your looking for clean, elegant vibe with a delicious brunch menu this is the place to go! The service was sharp & the server gave us really good recommendations which made it easy for us to order. We had breakfast dishes which were on point. They even gave our daughter a book & animal crackers to keep her occupied while we ordered. Food came out quick and was tasty! We can’t wait to go back and try their other amazing looking dishes!
