We spent several hours exploring the Arboretum again yesterday, and as usual, it was fascinating. Tulips galore! And In colors and variations I had never seen before. We discovered some wonderful new flowers for our gardens, especially the Million Bells varieties.Another great day at the Arboretum.
The Arboretum is such a great place to visit. Anytime we’re in Dallas we love to spend an afternoon here. It’s so well maintained and beautiful. Even when the place is packed you can find secluded spots to sit and enjoy nature. I recommend bringing a picnic lunch and finding a sunny spot to sit and enjoy being outdoors.
Even in the winter this place is pretty magical. For sure loved that $5 winter price. We were able to walk around and enjoy the area. We saw book clubs, dron groups, people getting proposed too, photography sessions, parent groups, etc. It was so nice seeing so much life and joy in the winter
If you really like peace and quiet on your outing. This is a great place to go. Especially if you love nature, this is a nice place to learn about different plants and trees. The inside entrance was closed. Theres work being done on the grounds so there were barriers in areas.
This was exactly what we expected and what we were happy to see. There were beautiful places for pictures you can bring your own items and picnic or you can partake in some of their food options. This venue provided a great escape where for a minute you forgot you were in the city. I would highly recommend.
My husband and I come here every few months so we got the family membership and its SO WORTH IT. I love walking around and just taking in the floral sights. They change it up seasonally in terms of whats on display and what kind of flowers you see. I loved tulip season. And then every fall, they put up the pumpkin patch and have a different theme. My favorite theme was a few years back when it was Peanuts themed. 😍 And then every winter, of course, you cant miss out on Santas Village. In terms of parking, the main entrance lot gets filled up VERY fast so I recommend just parking in the garage.
Heaven on earth! What a gorgeous botanical garden! I think this is the most beautiful place that i have visited in Dallas. Everything was so well maintained and we had a great morning walk. Unfortunately, i am not from Dallas..i would of go there every week! Breath taking greeneries that will renew your mind and your soul. I would love to have my wedding here one day! We also went to the restaurant but it was completely full so we decided to go to the cafe right next to the restaurant. To avoid lineups, i suggest to go early and not in the afternoon.
Definitely visit this arboretum if you’re visiting Dallas! Even in the winter, there’s a lot to see with all the exhibits, water features, and plants! We went around Christmas time, and they have a cute gingerbread house town and 12 days of Christmas exhibits all around. There were many beautiful fountains throughout the gardens. Admission for the special season was $17/person. The gift shop was very seasonal as well with lots of Christmas items available.
We came for the annual pumpkin exhibit at the Dallas arboretum, it was amazing. We brought a person who required a wheelchair and access was easy as well as parking considering that we came on a weekday and he wasn’t very busy. The administration does a wonderful job maintaining the arboretum the views are stunning for pictures with families and friends.
The Dallas Arboretum is always a stunning visual experience and our visit there last week was incredible! The tulips were in full bloom and they were everywhere. Plum trees, dogwoods, azaleas, rhododendron, and forcithia too. We especially loved the 20 tall peacocks with their spread out garden tails - a real delight! This place is balm for the body, mind and spirit. A wonderful place to spend the entire day by yourself, with a friend, or the whole family. When we balked at the $3.50 for a bottle of water at the Cafe, we were graciously offered cups of ice water gratis even though we werent eating there. The menu looked good though and we might eat there another visit. There were plenty of volunteers ready to identify plants, answer questions and just be generally sociable. Free rides with knowledgeable docents were also available around the grounds for anyone.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is absolutely stunning with miles of enchanted pathways engulfed in mesmerizing plants, flowers and wildlife. The open grass areas were great to pull a blanket out have a picnic, relax and listen to the live music near the lake. The Arboretum allows outside food and drinks, so we decided to pack a small cooler with items. There are a few places to pick up grub located around the botanical gardens. The Rory Meyers childrens garden is an additional $3, but was worth it, especially for kids old enough to walk.Overall, we have been to the arboretum three times and cant wait for the next retheme.
We got here when it was closer to closing time, so didn’t get a chance to see the whole place. But from what we did walk, it was very beautiful place, super reasonable price for entry. We saw a lot of different type of photography going on, from family pictures to wedding.
Best time to visit this place is year end. Well decorated, and lit. One can spend 2-3 hours easily at this place. Beautiful lake view, Christmas decors, nicely grown flowers and vegetables. This place has entry fees as well as parking charges. Plan your visit accordingly and make reservations.
Beautiful garden and great place for photos. They are not allowing professional gear before certain times but I still was able to bring my DSLR without any problems. They have multiple entrances so be aware. This garden is huge and ton of exploring to do here. I would recommend checking it if you like botanical gardens.
This holiday lights exhibit was 💰 well spent. My family and I had a lovely time. I wish we would have had more time to absorb the complexities of each area. The trees and plants were beautiful adorned. The Twelve Days of Christmas was the theme. There was a beautiful Christmas village celebrating different cultures and traditions. 🎶 played in the background. The event was sold out. Visitors were diverse in generation, gender, race, and socio-economic status. What a wonderful holiday event ❤ 😊!
Unfortunately I went too early for Spring but was still a good experience. The only thing I really had an issue with was there was just too many people trying to do photo shoots. There should be specific days for that so that the other people could enjoy themselves without having to miss anything or try to take pictures in the best spots. The spots they were occupying. Other than that it was a beautiful place.
The Dallas Arboretum is fantastic for nature lovers! My kids and I spent our first day of spring soaking in the sun while enjoying many natural species and activities. My son especially loved the children’s garden, and we could have easily spent our day in that area. There’s many different activities for children to enjoy. We ate a picnic lunch on the green lawn, and delighted in a live band performance. I can’t wait to visit again (alone, haha!) and spend hours immersed in nature’s glory.
Perfect place for nature lovers I went there couple of months ago and I was surprised by the beauty of all these beautiful nature they care about it, also they had an amazing events like music band and special decorations for fall season. We really enjoyed our day and will definitely go visit it again in summer!
One of the most beautiful and serene places to visit in Dallas. It’s at it’s best in the Spring and Fall. I go there for walks and to step away from the busyness of the summer. And depending when you go, you can sometimes go for free but prices do fluctuate.I also love how there’s cute little to eat and of course, there’s ample room for beautiful photos.
We have been to the arboretum twice in the past year and both times it was a great experience. The arboretum is beautiful, but for us the Children’s Adventure Garden is top notch. The kids top activities were the giant maze, the erosion center, building a garden, looking at insects under the microscope, and participating in a science lab.
Amazing arboretum! Exhibitions are changed pretty frequently so there’s always something new at any part of the year. Love taking my niece here because they have amazing kids discover section scattered across the grounds a big ‘playground’ section to let her run around. Pretty crowded on weekends but weekdays are a perfect time for photographers and their spring bloom never fails to impress.
What s beautiful way to spend your early afternoon. Not too hot in April and the flowers are in bloom beautifully. There are places all over this 60 acre wonderland that you can just sit, relax and take in its beauty. First place we went when I landed in Dallas. Loved it.
This place is beautiful! Although I think the price for little kids is a little ridiculous. My 3 year old enjoyed it though. Also I didnt get a map and started at day 12 instead of day 1. We quickly found the christmas village which I thought was the highlight of the visit. Overall it was worth it!
Honestly, I would not recommend coming here in the winter time other than the amazing volunteers. I did a walk through at 1st and saw most of the plants were not blooming (no surprise there). You could see where the tulips might be coming up and youll see cabbage/lettuce. Other than that, not very exciting. As we were walking back to the car, we saw one of the golf carts with a volunteer in it and met Barbara. You could tell how happy she was just to be there and how excited she was to share the history of the Arboretum. I learned a lot about the original two families that owned the 66 acres and because of Barbara Im willing to give this place another shot in the summer time! Also, make sure to stop by the taste tester area when you walk in to the left. They use produce they grow to come up with cool recipies.
Passes are required for entry in to the botanical garden. Several gates/ entries are there. Opposite to Gate1 there is garage for parking available. We need to park there and there is subway which brings us directly to Gate3. Arboretum is full of natural beauty. Cameras are allowed and we can take photoshoots inside the arboretum. Photographer need to sign a form at the entry.
OMGEEE a must go❣️We spent the afternoon here and had a lovely time. The sceneries are amazingly beautiful and straight up out of a story book or magazine. My favorite two spots are the hilly side overlooking White Rock lake. Very romantic picnic area. Also the grotto with waterfall, jus spectacular!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Will come again and again.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical garden is a medium sized botanical garden that is beautifully scaped and very well laid out. They have a variety of botanical specimens from throughout the world varying from trees to plants to flowers and even a edible garden. When we visited, they were serving a delicious leek soup and stir fry dish which they had made using leeks harvested from the grounds. The food was delicious and they offered the recipe to the public to try out at home. What an amazing way of engaging visitors and encouraging healthy eating! The gardens are well laid out and its easy to just stroll through the entire park just enjoying the sights. Some of the paths are rather narrow and it can get a little crowded in some of the more popular spots (like the tree lined walkway where everyone wants to take a photo) but its overall very walkable and peaceful. We really enjoyed out visit here and found it to be a great was to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. They did not check vaccination status and there was no mask mandate in place when we visited.
Buy tickets in advanced. Check the schedule too. Bring a coat because it can get cold, especially at night. Lots of parking. Several food and drink options. Stands with drinks and snacks are scattered throughout. Definitely go see the Christmas lights and the 12 days of Christmas displays. They have an entire section for children.
My friends and I stopped in here while we were in Dallas, and it is such a fun place! We loved seeing all of the flowers, and the koi pond near the middle of the park. This would be a great place to come and relax for a picnic, or walk through to enjoy the scenery. Tickets were $20/person and parking was an additional $15/car.
They have these great nature homeschool classes, we have dissected owl pellets and dissected plants. The Children’s adventure garden was the boys favorite of course! Plan for lots of time, we spent 2 hours in the adventure garden and did not get to see everything…maybe next time!
We had a great time at the arboretum. The pumpkin themed decor was really neat. I was expecting pumpkins throughout all the gardens, but even though they weren’t, it was still really neat.I loved how they had plenty of opportunities for photo opps. I highly recommend attending, especially during the seasonal events.I recommend bringing a picnic and some good walking shoes for those planning to attend.
Such a beautiful place! Plenty of gardens to relax, take pictures, enjoy some lunch, and explore. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. I went during the fall and was obsessed with the pumpkin patch! It was like nothing I have ever seen. Wish I could have seen Christmas village too. Guess I’ll just have to come back!
I love having this amenity so close to home! I go any chance I get and enjoy the scenic walk and check out all of the plants and trees that do well in the arboretum so I can find them and plant them in my yard as well. The Christmas display was very nice as was the light stroll.
Holiday at the arboretum was great. Especially at night. The Christmas lights made the place a must see during this time of year. The theme is the 12 Days of Christmas. I’m sure the place is just as amazing during the day when you can utilize the daylight to take great photos.
Arboretum is beautiful and 12 days of Christmas was on display. Very clean, well manicured and just beautiful trees, flowers, bushes all around. Really liked the little Christmas Village as well.We went for the High Tea. Absolutely worth it as the High Tea includes parking and admission. High Tea is a 3 tea experience with soup, scones, finger sandwiches and desserts.
We came to the Arboretum over the Christmas holidays and found nice parking, easy entry, good pathways for those with difficulty walking, and interesting sights throughout - both the standard Arboretum features and Christmas-specific items like the 12 Days of Christmas displays, Christmas village, and nativity scenes within the house. A nice day out for all ages.
One of the biggest and beautiful garden in Dallas just beside the White rock lake .Must visit place in Spring to see tulips and blossoms . It’s a really huge garden and needs a lot of walking . There is also children adventure garden near parking gate 4 . Kids will absolutely love that. Must visit place in Dallas.
Update 04/29/2022. The Dallas Arboretum keeps getting better with so many beautiful sections which you can discover as you follow the multiple paths through the flora. The food selections are quite good and there are pleasant outdoor dining areas in several locations. A true gem of Dallas. Even in mid November plenty of green and blooms accompanying the Christmas holiday decorations. The water features are hidden gifts throughout the spacious grounds. We are very happy to now be members to help support this great arboretum and gardens.
Great expansive place to unwind, recharge and relax. Beware as they turn people away as soon as capacity hits. We almost got turned away but rather informed the window associate that we were in line and was waiting for our turn and was in front of the group that was just let in. There seemed to be an oversight in communication amongst staff as to when the cut off should be as soon as max capacity is obtained.
For a very long walk and lots of ways to tire your kids out, this place is great. They have a decent amount of shaded parking. 2 outdoor restaurants and tons of walking paths. You can wall down gently sloping knolls, enjoy many water features and relax. Keep an eye out for less hot days as the heat can get pretty overbearing during the day. Highly recommended!
My boyfriend and I visit the Arboretum at least twice a month! We have a family pass and we take my parents sometimes. The Arboretum is great family families, couples, and grand parents. Though if you do take your grandparents, please know there is a good amount of walking involved! The Arboretum is also great for the Holidays! They provide a variety of activities for the fall and winter season.
Always a wonderful time with family at the annual Pumpkin patch theme. Unlike previous years youre not allowed to enter the themed huts but that didnt deter the excitement of its return post Covid.I would suggest booking your reservation online. We were able to use gate 1 by the main entrance and didnt have to wait for entry. It was a busy Saturday and parking was a bit of a challenge.
Outstandingly picturesque place. Its a must visit when in Dallas. The grounds are designed so beautifully and the nature surrounds you with peace and tranquility. The trees, flowers and plants give off the most incredible fragrances and everywhere you go is a visual delight. I spent two glorious hours here and enjoyed every minute. Be sure to buy tickets in advance online as there are no in- person purchases at the window.
Gone here throughout the years and its always different and amazing every time. The childrens garden is a must if you have kids (costs extra). There is so much to do, look at and learn with many hands on activities. There is a large open grassy area by white rock lake where you can picnic and sometimes there is live music. Flowers are gorgeous too.
Beautiful time at the Arboretum. Stopped by May 6th and the heat to texas is on the way for sure! Stay hydrated and bring plenty of sunscreen. 🌸🌼🌷they even had live music wish we would have brought a little picnic with fruit and drinks. Next time! We even spotted a baby owl. Always look at the trees!
This place cannot be best. I mean it’s so so gorgeous and just spectacular during Christmas time. Even though it’s cold out all the trees, plants and flowers are so well taken care of. Everything is so meticulously pretty and in its place. This was my go to spot when I was in college and I would still go every weekend if I didn’t live so far away. Love this place! It has a special place in my heart.
We loved visiting the Arboretum. We used online reservations including parking. It has many trails and lots of areas to explore and is really immaculately cared for. Enjoyed a beautiful day wandering the gardens. Arrows on ground and one way paths to help with the social distancing. The grounds are very kept, plenty of space to picnic and great views of White Rock Lake with sailing boats. We spent the day at the Dallas Arboretum, walked, photographed flowers and plants, had lunch and sat to enjoy the atmosphere!
Even in the heat and humidity of July this was a wonderful visit. The grounds are kept immaculate and the staff are friendly. The current art installation was beautiful to discover along the path. And there is an amazing spot with lounge chairs and ceiling fans I wish I had installed in my backyard that was a great spot to cool down and relax after walking the grounds and still had a gorgeous view. I went early on a Saturday morning during member hours and it was not crowded and parking was easy, worth the membership just for that.
We bought tickets to go here on a whim and this ended up being both of our favorite things on a weekend trip to Dallas. Beautiful grounds and loved the holiday decor. The Christmas village has great vendors and fun samples at the different shops. Would love to come back the next time we are in the area
First time viewing this place, at first glance its like walking through a different plain. Some place out of time in a majestic setting. Very pleasing to the eye. You have to at least see this in person at least once. For a first time viewing I have to say its a pleasant experience. Go see it for yourself, Im sure youll enjoy it much as I did.
WHOLESOME AND PRESTINEI recently visited the arboretum to see the 12 Days of Christmas displays. The Dallas Arboretum takes pride in making this place absolutely gorgeous and never fails to impress! They have a breathtaking view of White Rock lake, 12 ENORMOUS displays of the 12 days of Christmas (other gardens as well) There is a Christmas village where all of the family, from the small kids all the way to the great grandmas are getting free treats and gifts, The restrooms are clean... I have a lot of wonderful and great things to say about this place. The tickets were about $15 per person, so it is definitely worth every penny. This is a perfect place to take many selfies and family portraits!!!
A must see if youre in the Dallas area. We didnt even get to see the whole garden but was still there for over an hour. Absolutely beautiful place. There is a big white party tent that sells artwork similar to the ones scattered about the property, very cool stuff. The time and effort it takes to maintain this garden should not be overlooked and we should be greatly appreciative of the gardeners who keep this place alive!
I love to visit the Arboretum during Fall and Christmas but this year entrance fees are absolutely outrageous and it feels like management is pushing for people to become members. Just unnecessary. Please make our Arboretum accessible to everyone. Also, it’s not needed to charge toddlers!!!
I went to visit this garden with a friend. Its a very beautiful place. They are currently setting up decor for Halloween and Christmas. There are pumpkins every where and they are beautiful!!! Its a nice place to just go for a relaxing walk. I believe the cost was $15 a person, if you are not a member, and the parking is $10. On their website they advertise a small discount at certain times of the year, but it didnt apply for whatever reason when we went. Even though we there on the posted date. It may be someone needs to remove the information from their website. The only negative thing is, we stopped at the one cafe they had opened. I ordered a water and a large cookie, my friend ordered a pop and a brownie. That cookie was the HARDEST COOKIE, I have ever had in my life. The brownie was delicious, not dry, and not too sweet. Dont order the cookie. Im talking like if I had thrown that cookie at a window, it would break it, dont order the cookies. Get a brownie or some other dessert, lol!
A nice place to visit for half a day if you need some outdoor time. Make sure you purchase the tickets online before reaching. They do not sell on the spot tickets. The entry fee is $15 per person and parking is $10 per car. I liked the sculptures at the arboretum. I’m not a very artsy person, but the place had a good vibe to it. It’s located besides white lake, which gives you good background for photos.
Excellent place to take graduation or wedding photos. The view is very cool. There are many different places and backgrounds. There are lakes for fish and different flowers and trees, and the most beautiful thing is the large lake that overlooks it from the garden. There is also a restaurant. Prices and entry prices are relatively expensive. I recommend it as a first visit and also for people who want to take pictures
Just minutes from downtown Dallas, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is located on 66 acres along the southeast shoreline of White Rock Lake. The hotels 14 world-famous displays showcase seasonal flowers, ornamental shrubs, trees and botanical collections. The garden also hosts seasonal outdoor festivals, concerts, performing arts and educational programs, and guided tours of the property. Although conceived in the early 1930s, this splendid tourist attraction did not become a reality until 1984, when the park was set on the grounds of a castle built in 1939. into it are exquisite sculptures and fountains in areas with names like Toads Corner, Texas Town and Pecan Grove. Be sure to do a little exploring around White Rock Lake Park, too. Surrounded by 10km hiking and biking trails, the property is popular for its amazing bird and wildlife, as well as fishing and sailing.
Most relaxing and green place. One can spend almost 3-4 hours. Very good variety of flowers and plants. Nicely kept sculptures that introduce you to the creativity and beauty. You can find gift store.right after entrance. You also have an opportunity to buy sculptures at ZS marketplace located inside of the garden. This is really huge place. But dont worry TRAMS are there to help you out in case you need it. You can also enjoy the taste of produce there but it is open from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM Daily, so I you are planning then keep this timing in mind so that you wont miss it 😉.
This place is always beautiful and relaxing. I am always greeted with a friendly hello and respect. I am disabled and the park is disabled accessible everywhere you go. They also have wheelchairs if you need them, first come first serve. I love going in the middle of the week during the day when there arent many people its the best time to relax and walk around.
I am at the Arboretum multiple times a month with my couples for their engagement photos and this has become one of my favorite locations in Dallas to shoot. The Arboretum has so many beautiful and unique backdrops to make your engagement photos and wedding stunning. I love the staff that I run into and enjoy partaking in the events they put on. I always look forward to visiting!
This is such a nice place every time I go! Right now is the time to see the pumpkins and structures made with pumpkins. There are still plenty of beautiful flowers around to see. They also have a great kids place that is not only fun but educational. This is a must place to visit whether you live in Dallas or just visiting.
Great place for almost any occasion. One of the most beautiful places in dallas. It is a really big place so unless your planning to be there all day and relax, then definitely plan out which parts you want to see the most so you dont run out of time. Also, they let you bring in food and drinks and there are so many perfect places to have a nice picnic there.
Went on a Tuesday, August 17th, and it was only $3 per person that day. Beautiful gardens. Lots of flowers and plants and some amazing rock and water structures. Right next to White Rock Lake, with views of the lake all around. A vegetable garden and tours of the house were also available. One if the best places for photography and photo shoots in the Dallas area.
Dallas offers so many expanding opportunities for family fun, and the botanical gardens are no exception. Full of plants and flowers, the botanical gardens provide an oasis full of life to those who want to experience it. The gardens are full of different types of plants and flowers; the greenery and natural surroundings provide a sense of peace and serenity. Its a great place to go for a walk or just sit and enjoy the view. I took my kids and they enjoyed running around while my wife and I walked slowly taking in all of the surrounding beauty. We signed up for annual membership and have access to several if not hundreds of gardens across the country.
My girls and I were blessed to visit this beautiful place. Its full of gorgeous flowers and hidden benches, perfect to have romantic moments with your love one. Its also family oriented! It seems to be a couple of hundred acres. The best part, its right on White Rock Lake! If youve never been, its truly worth the trip. Im going back for a date. I desire to have a picnic right on the lake surrounded by Gods natural beauty🌹
This place is AMAZING, missed the Christmas display, still beautiful. So much to see at this place, my favorites were waterfalls and the lake. Each season is decorated and according to the season. Can’t wait to visit this place again in the springtime when the flowers bloom. It’s like heaven on earth. LOVED IT!
Love the Arboretum and all the beautiful views and activities. I attended as a school chaperone with my child. The one concern that I do have was that several schools attended and some of those parents or teachers did little to nothing to address their students behavior. I understand that the kids zone is for kids but not to be destructive.Other than that it’s beautiful and a great place to spend the a day and even to have a picnic. You will not regret your visit.
The arboretum was bustling with families, folks celebrating birthdays and other milestone events as it is simply the perfect backdrop for beautiful pictures! Go on a bright sunny day and hop on a tram to learn some interesting facts. Contribute to saving the environment with your visit; Bring your own water bottle for free refills at the Elkay water station near the restrooms. Taste the recipes of the day, and soak in the ambiance! Stop by the tent of Zimbabwean art and support artists. Dont miss their sculptures strewn about.
It was nice. It was manicured and polished but it wasnt what I thought and especially for the price (paying for parking?). The Christmas section was on point and fun. Loved every part of that. However, its hard not to compare to Fort Worth. Fort worth has my heart. When I think of a botanical garden, I think of this deep and beautiful connection of earth and us. We get out of its way so that the garden can flourish and we the bystanders can submerge in this divine growth. In other words, we move around nature, not the other way around. Just my perspective. Or maybe I sound crazy and Ive watched too much Secret Garden.I will go back at some point, to reassess my opinion and give it another change. It was my first time and I do need to be more open minded to other approaches.
Update 3/25/22, Came to see the Dallas Blooms: Birds in Paradise exclusive exhibit and I was not disappointed!Always a pleasure, even in the winter months! Plenty of scenic arrangements to take pictures at; a great place for family and dates. Best go there during early spring so you catch everything when its just blooming and so that you get there before it gets so devilishly hot in the summer. The places they have to eat there are also of nice quality, albeit a bit pricey. The gift shop is nice as well. The only problem I have with the place just how hot it gets in the summer, you can barely walk a few minutes without getting winded!
Went here on a Sunday 2021 when the pumpkin village made its appearance. I’ve never seen such a beautiful display of pumpkins. Even throughout the whole place, every spot was a great spot for a photo. Absolutely beautiful. Hoping to go back when the weather isn’t as hot and humid.
Getting here before regular opening our thanks to a friend with a membership was the best thing we could have done to enjoy all the green and beautiful sculptures to the fullest. There was ample space for parking around Gate 1 up until 8:30am and very few people around. A perfect place for a family day out or for remote working (free WiFi is everywhere) under the shade of a tree overlooking the lake from a hill.
Apart from the museums and the aquarium downtown, this is one of the must see attractions for visitors to Dallas. Its far away from all the hustle and bustle of the city and sits on the edge of White rock lake. Considered one of the top botanical gardens in the nation, it is absolutely beautiful when you visit in the summer. The sweet spot when everything is blooming.
Always beautiful scenery-inside and out! Wonderful food. I go to a lot of their teas. They have one for each season and for more than one day each time. I love their chicken salad on a croissant. I get one to go a lot! I also get attentive friendly service. 🎄 Christmas 🎅 at the Arboretum was particularly festive. I enjoyed the decorations. Ill be ❤ 😍 💖 ❣ back!!!!!
Very beautiful and clean gardens with much to see and do. They have live music and events often, so do check the event calendar. You can definitely bring food and snacks as well as picnic gear and just hang our with live entertainment or amongst the flowers. Every season has different exhibits and is worth checking out.
I love visiting arboretum and gardens in whatever state or country I visit. This arboretum is exquisite. I love the layout and the different mini pathways you can take. It was very clean and easy to walk. I could envision myself coming here every weekend for a walk and to read a book if I lived in Dallas. Between the flowers, the trees, and sculptures, and the backdrop of the lake in a few spots, the views are really something special.
This is the best garden 🪴 in the Dallas area. Fun for all ages and the perfect way to spend the weekend.Just be aware if the weather is nice, they get very busy. Well maintained and clean always. Be sure to check out I Love Juice Bar Lakewood which is a 2 minute drive. They have great smoothies and fresh juices.
The Dallas Arboretum never ceases to amaze me for their ability to continue to plant, and grow. For people checking it out day-to-day, its a great trip (highly recommend bringing your own water, snacks, picnic etc since theyre allowed - although there are still some nice concessions if desired).I would also highly recommend people check the special holiday events - the pumpkin events, the 12 days of Christmas, the holiday villages, etc. Absolutely worth it!!All-in-all, this this is what you want a local resource like this to be. What an amazing spot we have in the DFW MetroPlex!

2022-06-01I went there to celebrate my birthday recently and had a wonderful time! I love nature walks, so I really enjoyed it. Parking wasnt bad. The food is reasonably priced. This must really be a hot spot for quinceanera, prom and graduation photos! I will bring my daughter there for photo shoot this summer. It is also a great place for a day date! I enjoy taking photos of nature as well, so I had a field day with my camera! Enjoy the photos below!

2022-05-11It took my new fiance and mother to this beautiful place by recommendations from my sister. We thoroughly enjoyed it, the weather was pretty good for that day and there was plenty of things to look at and enjoy. We wish there were more water fountains available is the only thing and maybe some misting fans. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the shade though and photo shoot opportunities. I give this place a four and a half Stars!!

2022-03-15If you like flowers, you’ll love the Arboretum. In Springtime the tulips and hyacinths are so gorgeous and plentiful. There are many other flowers at this time but those really catch your eye. In the Fall they have the biggest display of pumpkins I have ever seen. The grandchildren love running around and taking in all the beauty and exploring the property. Great place to visit, no matter the seasonal.

2022-07-01Beautiful place to enjoy an early morning walk or late afternoon stroll. Many areas to sit and rest. They even have a couple of mist areas. We mostly enjoy the arboretum the most during November, and December but do enjoy a couple of visits during the summer month. A family membership is not bad for the year. Multiple parking lots, we have even ridden our bicycles since we live in the White Rock Area. We parked our bikes near the entrance.

2022-03-24Beautifully kept gardens, water features, paved walkways with lots of room to roam. Even some of the most popular areas werent crowded. A great way to spend an afternoon. I encourage you to bring drinks and maybe a picnic lunch and a blanket to take advantage of the beautiful area to just relax and enjoy.

2022-05-12I love this place, beautiful scenery. Perfect for pics and just to walk around, the infinity pool overlooking White Rock Lake is gorgeous. They had two huge peacock shaped bushes with tail being flowers planted on ground, those are beautiful. Go for pics or just to enjoy a picnic or read a book in the many shady areas and take in the beauty of nature.

2022-06-29We went today and while I will admit this location is extremely beautiful there were many flowers that couldn’t withstand the Texas heat and were withering or dead. There’s lots of places to stop for sitting which is nice. Two locations to eat (neither are cheap by any means for the amount of food you get). The souvenir shop has a variety of items. Our favorite item from the shop was the t-shirts that are color shows when in the sun. Multiple waterfall areas and little rivers throughout. Wednesday was buy 1 get 1 free. There is a fee for parking in their lot as well. Apparently this July tickets will be $5 per person as well which is a great price as regular adult pricing is $16 a person.

2021-12-15This place was AMAZING!! We came here specifically for their pumpkin village, but absolutely loved roaming the rest of the grounds. I doubt we even covered everything (some things were unfortunately blocked off for weddings...and there were A LOT of weddings there that day (we counted 5, Im sure there were more). They were getting their Christmas village and the 12 days of Christmas stuff set up when we went. Super bummed that we couldnt come back for those too, they looked great from what we could see!! There were a few scattered places to get food or drinks all throughout the park. We got lucky and stumbled upon a tasting event right as it was closing up! We got to taste fresh made coleslaw and home made ice cream. I cant remember what the flavors were, but both were DELICIOUS! *edit* it was grape ice cream and southern-style cabbage* I wish we could have ordered more! 😆 I have this place bookmarked for next time I go to Dallas. 100% returning here!

2022-03-20My wife and I love this place. First time we went we were so impressed that we signed up to become members. My 4 yr old daughter enjoys their kids adventure area and the wife and I enjoy just walking around and taking in the nature. We plan to make visits once a month throughout the year to experience all the seasons. Everything is well maintained, people working there are all nice and they have a small giftshop too. Totally recommend it to anyone.
