Just an absolutely awful place to deal with. I paid over $500 to have my dashcam installed here in May 2020. Since then, the camera has NEVER worked right. Keep in mind that I live in Chicago so I cant just snap my fingers and go to Austin each time the camera malfunctions. Last Christmas, I had a fender bender where the other driver was at fault and the dashcam did not record it. I called The Dashcam Store about a refund bc that was not the first time the camera didnt work properly. They refused to issue me a refund. I was in Austin earlier this year and I stopped by the TDS. They examined my dashcam and fixed the problem (so I thought). This month, I had a near accident that I was lucky enough to avoid. I went to my dashcam app to see if the dashcam captured the footage and it didnt. I am now stuck with a $500 piece of junk that doesnt work when I need it to.
Incredible level of detail put into this installation. From checkin to checkout with a full knowledge handoff and explanation of how the system works. A great clean install. I am pretty picky who touches my P-Car - but these guys do INCREDIBLE WORK !! I got the BlackVue DR900s-1CH and camera looks really sharp. (Will be putting it through its paces but impressed so far) - And their shop had TV and Wifi and clean environment allowed me to do some work why I was there. Thanks again Dashcam Store - will be spreading the word about you all !!!
If you are local to the area, definitely stop by for your dash cam. I went in to check out my options and Matthew walked me through the entire process. We went through the different versions of cameras as well as mounting solutions for a 2 channel in my 4Runner, which has been a notoriously difficult car to mount in. Their solution works! I love my setup and he took the time to show me how to hardwire the system myself. A great project after a great experience
I had an excellent experience with a 2-channel dash cam installation with The Dashcam Store - I was crazy to have considered installing it myself. Upon arrival I was greeted by name, given an estimate of 60-90 minutes, and decided to wait in the comfortable waiting room. The install took about 90 minutes, I was given a quick demo of how to access video using the dash cam app, and went on my way.Super professional, efficient, and a very clean install. Dont waste your time or damage your car spending all day doing a job that theyll do cleanly and in a quarter of the time!
Very smooth - everything went well. They were ready for me the moment I arrived, took less time than expected, the installation was neat and tidy, the cameras are placed in good positions for visibility, they gave me a full rundown of how to use the features of the camera, maintained a high level of professionalism, and made sure that I didnt overpay for the experience. They were able to do this while managing other customers as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
The Dashcam Store is amazing! They are professional, efficient, and helpful. I had them reinstall my old dash cam into my new vehicle. My old vehicle was totaled in a car wreck. Fortunately, I had a dash cam installed in my previous vehicle. The person who caused the wreck, told police that I ran the red light and it was my fault. All I had to do was pull out my phone and connect to my dash cam. The police saw that the person I hit actually ran the red light and the dash cam automatically paid for itself. Unfortunately, between the time I purchased my new car and had my dash cam reinstalled, I was rear ended by a person who fled the scene. Now I am out my deductible which is more than the reinstallation of the camera. Let this be a lesson for everyone... get a dash cam! Youll be glad you did and it will not only prove your innocence, but will save you money!
Purchased my Blackvue 750-2ch from TDS with no issues. They had a great sale, shipment was very fast and great customer service. They are my go to for dashcams and accessories.
Everything about getting my dashcam installed at The Dashcam Store was efficient and pleasant. I drove by one day and stopped in to see what it would take to install a dashcam in my vehicle. The gentleman in the store that day showed me some options and discussed the process of reserving a time. When I got home I went to their website and the reservation process was super easy. When I arrived they were ready for my vehicle, and the waiting room was comfortable and had strong wifi. The technician who installed the dashcam touched base with me a couple of times during the installation to make sure the cameras (front and rear) were where I wanted them, and to talk about hiding the wires which was a different process due to my vehicle having a removable top. When the installation was complete the technician stepped me through the process of installing the software on my phone, going through the video the cameras recorded, and all of the settings within the software. Overall it was a great experience and they made me feel like a valued customer.
Great experience getting my dash cam installed at The Dashcam Store. I was in and out within an hour.I opted for the front dash camera installation and to my surprise, the hardwire kit was included in the installation.There is also complementary coffee and snacks in the waiting room!5/5 - Would highly recommend.
I am a repeat customer and The Dashcam Store is installing a unit in my wifes vehicle in two weeks. I have had multiple dashcam purchases from The Dashcam Store over the years, including installation. Service has always been good, but my most recent installation and service experience is without a doubt the best. I purchased a LTE connected dashcam so that I would be able to access the dashcam as an additional data line on my cellular account. My cellular provider (AT&T) took forever and had nothing but problems, literally keeping me on the phone for at least an hour. The Dashcam store rep was beyond patient and stayed on the phone and did everything he could to make sure that my camera was fully functional. I was so impressed with the level of professionalism and patience of the Dashcam Store installer try and help with me with my issue which was my cellular provider, and had nothing to do with the camera itself.
Good product! AMAZING Customer Service!!! We ordered the BlackVue DR750-2CH-IR-LTE Dual Lens Front + Interior Dash Cam w/ Built-In 4G-LTE with a tamper proof case for our new teen drivers car. We ordered during the Holiday season when USPS was having shipping delays. Daschcam Store sent it out promptly but USPS failed to deliver it. When contacting Daschcam Stores customer service they were very attentive, understanding and ready to problem solve. Knowing we had to schedule our installer, they shipped a second camera to us via UPS that arrived in 2-days. They even sent us a return shipping label for the first camera so we could send it back when it finally arrived via USPS (30+ days later). They have followed up several times making sure we are happy with our purchase. We are pleased with the Blackvue camer but we are most impressed with The Dashcam Stores customer service. They have definitely earned repeat business from us!

My recently purchased dashcam had a parking mode feature which required a hardwire install (needs professional installation). After doing some research i found the Dashcam store and decided to go with them for the installation.The appointment was very easy to setup online on their website. In the store, the person taking care of the installation was very knowledgeable to walk me through the process (including suggesting power magic pro) and keeping me updated on the state of the installation process. The waiting area was clean (with WIFI enabled) and it took around 90 minutes for the installation. After the installation, they even asked whether the front and rear camera angles were good for my view and were open to adjusting it.A week after the installation, i am glad to have chosen the Dashcam store for installing my dashcam . I would definitely recommend the Dashcam store if one is planning on adding a dashcam to your vehicle. Special mention for their exceptional customer service and the quality of their work
Pretty steep install price at $100 for a single-channel camera in my car, but they know what theyre doing-- it looks good with no exposed wiring and theres not many other places you can go to get a dashcam installed. Took about an hour and they let you wait in their lobby with wi-fi, bottled water if you want some, and a comfy couch.

I had a great experience at the dashcam store setting up a BlackVue DR750X-2CH Cloud-Ready Dual Lens GPS WiFi Dash Cam for Front & Rear with 64GB BlackVue Card.All that was direct wired to the car electrical system for constant monitoring even when parked.Installation is super clean. These guys are pros. Totally worth the price.Havent tried it much due to the snow storm in Texas, but sure it will be a great investment.
I highly recommend The Dashcam Store. First off scheduling an appointment online was a breeze. Upon arrival the guys at the shop were ready to go and helpful in getting me squared away with everything I needed for the install. In addition, the shop location itself was well kept and inviting. The team got right to work and had me ready to go in a jiffy, but not before they gave me a great hands-on demo of the product installed. I cant say enough about their top-notch service. SERVICE AFTER THE SALE! After a trip to the dealership for service, I discovered my cameras were not working. I got a follow-up appointment at the Dashcam Store, even though my cameras were installed nearly two years ago. It just took a few minutes for them to figure out Ford had unhooked the cameras, and just like that, The Dashcam Store had them working again. The Dashcam Store wouldnt even take a payment. Astonishingly good service.***UPDATE***My memory card quit working and the camera was unresponsive. I tried resetting the card with no luck, so I got an appointment with Matt. Matt took the camera out to diagnose the problem and quickly agreed that the card had gone bad. He replaced it for free since it was so close to being in the warranty period. Honestly, I had expected to pay for service and a new card. I am once again pleasantly surprised by the level of service I have received at the Dashcam Store.

I bought the cam the and got it installed at the same time and installation was flawless and price was way lower than competition . I would highly recommend The Dash Cam Store.

The first was due to my battery and computer. They tested my dashcam and provided information that helped the dealer diagnose the situation. In the second case, they passed up a sale when I simply didnt understand how the videos are recorded. They are first class!
The guys are great there. Bought a camera for my daughters vehicle and had an issue with it about a year afterwards. They took care of the issue without any questions. They were professional when I initial purchased it and had them install and when I took it back to have issue fixed. They are kind, courteous and professional will be going back fire my next vehicle camera.
Install was done quickly and right at the appointment time. All wiring run very well - dashcam does not look like its something added after. Post install run though of the features was very helpful.

Ive had several dashcams installed here. You can buy most of the cameras on the same day as installation. Very cleanly installed and looks like it was stock from the factory. After they are done, they will walk you through the operating instructions. Great group of people. Clean waiting area with coffee and drinks.

What a great team! I was able to schedule a same day appointment for an install of a Blackvue750s -2ch dashcam. The waiting area was clean and comfortable with water and sodas on hand. Every staff member that I met was friendly and inviting as well. After the installation they took time to walk me through the operation of my Dashcam and give me a few tips and pointers. Overall Im really happy at the quality of the install as it looks like it is a factory setup in my 2018 STI. Ill be recommending this business to all my friends for their dashcam needs.

I got four cameras and several batteries installed. They sync to the cloud with LTE. The cameras are great. They answered all my nerdy questions. They installed fast and professional. I got a dashcam installed here recently, and the work was done very well and in a timely fashion. I was undecided between getting a 1-channel and 2-channel camera because my car doesnt have a proper place to put a rear-facing camera. The technician suggested that during installation, he could show me what a rear-facing camera installed on the front windshield would capture of the rear. Once I saw what it captured, it was easy to make the decision to go with the 1-channel. The staff explained the features of my camera, and told me that I could contact them any time with questions. Very good experience.

Outstanding service! I have purchased two cameras from The Dashcam Store over the last year and know for a fact that I will shop with them again.My latest purchase was a DR650S-2CH. I was having a small configuration issue with a hotspot and they worked to resolve the issue. It was an unknown incompatibility issue that even BlackVue themselves were not aware of. John, at the front of store and Matt, the installer, were both great. Install went quickly and the final product met my expectations. My car gives me a warning each time I turn it on now, saying there was battery discharge, but thats not an issue with the installation, just a byproduct of having a device that is designed to use battery power while the car is off. I expect that the products installed will work as designedand never fully discharge the battery, but Ill have to see how it works over time.

Update 7/31We got some more help from the techs here, a number of settings needed to be updated to make the cameras more functional. Some issues still persist but the cameras are mostly working now in our 15 trucks. Still would not recommend Blackvue cameras.Blackvue Cameras = never ending issues!We bought 15 Blackvue Cameras for our fleet from the dashcam store and its been a never ending supply of issues with the 750S cameras. All professionally installed and done with top notch parts.Issues includeMost common error is the camera is in use and cannot be connected to.Firmware updating issues.Overheating issues.The dreaded check SD card warning that goes off over and over again every 2 seconds.Cameras constantly losing connection with the wifi hotspot.Camera mounts coming lose off the windshield.Blackvue has been absolutely no help, emails and calls go unanswered and never once have they helped troubleshoot or gave a solution.The Dashcam store has been slightly more helpful, but its still difficult to get troubleshooting help.Never once has all 15 of our trucks ever once been all working at the time, fix one issue and two more pop right up.
Great Service, Great Product. The staff was great at explaining the pros, cons, features and capabilities on each camera model, (the cameras are from S. Korea, not China; so good quality). We got a great set up for my vehicles at a reasonable price, the installation only took a couple hours. And Ive checked out the video already,it looks good even at night. 10 out of 10, would do again.

This is the second dashcam I have bought and had installed at The Dashcam Store. Though I live 5 hours away in McAllen, the trip is worth it to me because of the excellent work they do. I use the dashcam for ride-sharing, and I have had passengers ask if the equipment was installed at the factory. I was quoted a time of three hours, but they actually finished in under two hours. Once again, my BlackVue installation was done perfectly. Very satisfied with both the equipment and the company.
My wife had an accident. Even though she was in the right, she was assigned 30% fault. We had no evidence to back up our claim. We decided we needed a dashcam. Enter The Dashcam Store.I went in and discussed my needs with John and we selected the camera I needed. Since I was a walk-in, there was no availability to have it installed that day. We scheduled installation for a week later. He quoted me $249 as the installation of both front and rear cameras would take about 3 hours to mount, hide the wires, and connect to the fusebox.I returned in a week and prepared to spend my morning in the waiting room. About an hour later they told me it was completed. They had assigned three people to the job. John prepared my invoice and charged me $199 because it didnt take as long as expected. Understanding that it still took three man hours, and grateful that they had saved me two hours of waiting, I told him to go ahead and charge me for the full $249 quoted.My wife and I are thrilled with the cameras, the expertise with which they were installed, and the service we received.
I was having a few issues with my dashcam and went in for them to look at. It was not the dashcam it was the software but they fixed it and trained me a little on the software. They were very helpful and patient with me and even fixed the bad reinstall the insurance did when I had my windshield replaced l. I love my dashcam and would recommend to everyone. Im also having one put in my sons car. I really like that store and the employees there are very nice as well.
Never did business with the dashcam store so I didn’t know what to expect. I spoke with Andrew a few days ago about making some minor changes to my order and he was a big help with it. I did not want to buy the adhesive pads from Blackvue as they wanted $3 plus a $24 expedited shipping charge with no lesser shipping options. I needed the pads and a GPS tracker and the dashcam store had just that and at a good price too. I will definitely be using the dashcam store for my future dashcam needs. Thanks for the help Andrew.

Wanted a Garmin dashcam and was surprised that their price was a bit lower than Amazons. Made an appointment to have it installed and arrived a bit early. Was greated by Drew as I walked in the door. They started the install early and finished in about one hour. Had the hard wire install for $99. Very professional installation. No wires showing anywhere! They walked me through the dash cam operation.Everyone was very professional. The storefront was very clean and well organized. They exceeded my expectations!

Great experience. We did 2 cars with the Blackvue DR900S-2CH for our Yukon XLs. Great video quality and easy options. Had some initial concerns with the camera mount in the rear window area and the guys at DCT stepped up and came up with a better mount with a much better viewing angle and less obtrusive design. You might think its expensive, but let me tell you - Having a dashcam would have saved me almost 3 years now with my accident and lawsuit. Money well spent. People do some crazy and stupid stuff on the road. Better to get it on camera and and protect yourself.

I wanted a dashcam, but with all of the options / brands / configurations I had no idea which one to get. I found out The Dashcam Store was based in Austin, and so I gave them a call. They have a brand new store they are building out now, but I didnt even have to show up. Andrew was able to make some great suggestions over the phone and even sent me some followup literature to look over via email. I was able to make a decision and I called them back to schedule an install, which they did a few days later. After the installation, I was amazed at how well they were able to hide the cable and camera - I really dont notice it all! Thanks guys!
Ive had a great experience with the dashcam store. The staff answered all my questions and made a recommendation that wasnt the most expensive product they sold but was based on my specific need. Their videos and step by step guides are very helpful and I cant wait to setup my dashcam myself. I would definitely do business with them again!

I appreciate a company that can admit their error and fix it quickly.12/09/19 - No frill prices not worth the additional headache afterwards. Dashcam Store grossly inflated my item value during shipping. Claimed item was worth $793 when I paid them $399.90. My brokerage fees for item to cross the boarder was outrageous. I had to put through a dispute (at an additional cost) with UPS to prove the true value of the package. Will not recommend strictly due to dishonest business practices and lack of care.
Matthew did a great job with the installation and explaination on how to pull videos through the app/ change settings for the camera if needed. From the moment you walk in and leave the store was a 10/10 experience. Looking forward to bringing many more vehicles here to protect our business/ assests.
We purchased a dash camera online and have been extremely pleased with this companys superior level of customer service. They responded promptly to answer questions. When we had some set-up difficulty, the salesman Gabriel called us on Christmas Eve to offer whatever assistance he could until tech support was available. I placed an online appt for an install, showed up and ordered a camera. Told the guy I basically need front and back views, and to be able to get to it from my phone. They didnt try to sell me the most expensive model, I feel like I spent what I expecting to pay for a dash cam with install. It looks great. I will be bringing in my other car for a dash cam as well. We will see how the camera holds up in the Texas heat, which was my number 1 concern. Got the blackvue dr590w

We are very happy with the Blackvue DR750S-2CH you installed in our new Genesis G90. While the DR650GW-2CH in our Mercedes-Benz works very well and has been totally reliable, several DR750S-2CH improvements in the stored images and operating software are evident.We are also very happy with the installation. It was handled on a very prompt basis and is professional in appearance.
I purchased a Blackvue DR650-2ch dashcam from the Dashcam Store and had it professionally installed. So far it has perforned well and there is plenty of support documentation to help me set up the viewer on my phone and Ipads. I havent completed the set up yet, but the customer service has been outstanding.
I was impressed with their office and the professionalism of everyone there. They did the job quickly and I was able to use their Wifi to work from there while they did the work. The installation looked great- was perfectly done. Found these guys online and was very fortunate that they are based out of Austin. Their expertise and broad product knowledge helped guide me to the appropriate camera system for me. The extra bonus of offering professional installation because I am local was great. I doubt youll find a better dashcam vendor.

The Dashcam Store installed a 4K BlackVue DS900-2CH system in my new 2019 Ford F250 PSD King Ranch truck. The cameras and power pro were very nicely installed. After installation they did a product demonstration, then offered telephone support for future questions. Very nice guys!

Im the type of guy that will do a ton a research when I finally decide to buy something. In this case I was shopping for a dash cam for my work van. I narrowed the field after deciding on the specific features I thought I wanted. Had to be HD, have GPS, maybe have front and rear cameras, wifi would be nice, something small. I spent many hours on YouTube watching videos of reviews of the many brands ranging from the very inexpensive to the outrageously priced. I finally narrowed it down to a few manufacturers that I felt met my needs. A little more reviewing and I decided on the Blackvue DR650-2channel system and decided to get with the Power Pro adapter so I could have the camera work even when parked.Now the search was on to find one. Again I started in the usual places like Ebay and Amazon. Both had them in stock, but I felt they were a little high priced. Back to the web to do another search and I came upon The Dashcamstore. They not only did they have the lowest price, but their info on the unit was way better than anyone else selling the same unit.Sometimes finding the lowest price is not always a good thing, but that was not the case here. The Dashcam Store provided the BEST customer service by answering every email I threw their way and even answered a question on Thanksgiving day! The answers were always clear and precise and we even had to troubleshoot a firmware upgrade that was a little difficult to install!I would highly recommend them for all your dashcam projects or to simply answer a question about any of the products they sell.

Install of the 2-channel BlackVue equipment into my 2018 F-150 SuperCrew went very smoothly, was very quick, cannot see it from the drivers seat.Does the system work? Im not about to get in a wreck just to find out. :-) But the video I have downloaded manually looks great.

If you are in the market for a dashcam, we can not recommend this place more highly, they are true pros in the dashcam business. Their approach from initial contact to installation was subperb. It was a bit of a journey from our location to theirs, about 80 miles but well worth the journey.

It turns out I messed up the SD card in the camera. The tech cleared the issue, verified the corruption was cleared then sent me in my way. This store never ceases to amaze me on customer service.

This company is fraud,i ordered a brand new dash cam, i received an open box used not working defective camera,i imidietly called the company, they refused to send me a prepaid return label, the were very nasty over the phone, they made me pay $32.98 for a label just to return the item,interesting, when i ordered the camera they were so nice to me, then when i asked to return the tune completely changed,bottom line: everything is nice and rosy until you have a problem,

2022-06-09Ever since COVID, to be honest, customer sevice has gone to ... The Dashcam Store Team is the best example I have encountered since the beginning of 2020 when it comes to customer service and understanding the needs of the customer and being able to supply the demand without fluff and upsales. All of my questions were answered with the model I ultimately chose as well as any others I had questions about. I didnt feel rushed and I was listened to as a customer. Appointment setup was easy, I even had to reschedule which was also just as easy and installation was punctual and quick, while I watched Lucky Number Slevin in the lightly stocked waiting area. So far, I have no complaints about my installation or the product I chose, the Blackvue DR590X-2CH. Thank guys! Keep up the great work. I plan on installing the same setup in my other vehicle.

2022-05-17I was in the market for a two-channel (2 cameras) Dashcam. After using Google, I found that The Dashcam Store had the best reviews, so I began to look into this a bit more...their website is full of information and with a massive selection of Dash Cams, including accessories. At first, I was a bit overwhelmed with so many options, but it was easy to navigate the website when I took my time. I ended up picking the BlackVue DR900X-2CH-Plus Ultimate Dash Cam Bundle. Once I found my Dashcam and bought it, I made an appointment to have it installed by them. They have reasonable prices for installations. My appointment was set for 1:00 PM the next day. As I walked into the store, I was offered free WiFi, Coldwater, and soda pop, Coffee. Once they finished, it came out looking like it was installed at the factory. And not an after-market product. It looked professional. If you are in the market for a dash Cam, I highly recommend The Dashcam Store.

2021-12-15Excellent service. I contacted this store through their chat first and the service rep was friendly and fast with information. Emails were returned promptly. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment at their store. The gentleman who helped me was knowledgeable, polite, and walked me through the install and affiliated app. I was given a 2 hr estimate for the install and everything was finished within 1 hr. 100% would recommend this place to anyone looking to install a dash cam. (Dont make my first mistake and try to get your dash cam installed through best buy... just come here instead.)

2022-06-14Best place to get a dashcam installed, serviced, removed, reinstalled, upgraded - Everything. I dont know what I will do without them if I ever move. They installed the dashcam on my Tesla Model S flawlessly. Then took it out perfectly and when I got a new one installed it back in! Then I took my car to Tesla and they have this habit of disabling dashcams; The team here made it work again in five minutes. Best service ever.
