The Home Depot in other cities:
I pulled to the curbside pickup parking spot after circling the parking lot twice and finally asking an employee where it was. I texted my name and order number and parking spot to Home Depot as per instructions. I then waited 20 minutes without anyone showing up. I went inside and waited 10 more minutes for someone to finally bring my order out. Staff was friendly enough but this machine needs some WD-40 (which they sell on aisle 17).
There was this lady very rude looked me up and down and ignored me til I looked over n flagged another person to help me. The ladys name was Leslie. I couldnt type in the number I was shaking so bad from her being so rude for no reason. Horrible custome service. Ill never come here again.
Probably the best Home Depot to shop at in the Hill Country. I forget her name but the sweet, older lady always greets me with a shopping cart when I come in and asks how I am doing. Most of the staff are very nice and are always in a cheery mood which is rare for a big box store. This store is much less crowded compared to others in the Austin area. The reason I give three stars is because in the morning it is impossible to find a lumber cart. Whether due to a shortage or filling PO orders, there are no carts to be found in the morning before 9 A.M. If you have to use a cart, good luck on finding one! Regardless, an all around great store.
Usually out of the things that I need. It’s so difficult trying to find things there or a good substitute. They usually do not have enough H carts for wood. The few that they have they like to keep outside blocking the fire lane rather than inside where most other Home Depot’s keep them. If you’re lucky enough to find one outside make sure you bring it in if you need it.
Fantastic selection but I must agree with other reviewers that its hard to get help. I waited around for someone to grind keys for me and saw many young, summer hires pass by avoiding eye contact. I walked over to the register and asked the young guy working there to ask someone to come over. No announcement was made, no one came. After a few more similar unencounters, a young cheerful guy named Adrian asked if we needed help with keys and was so polite and happy to help that it almost made up for the 15 minutes standing around. He was great! Management needs to get on these ostensibly new hires. Theyre way more interested in each other than they are working there. I get it, but its not a great way to run a business on busy weekend days.
Really not much difference in any of the locations as far as selection goes. This particular store seemed to have a restocking issue during my visit. There were lots of pallets blocking the aisles. Im guessing that they have staffing issues just like everywhere these days.
The associate or whatever they call themselves and the electrical department. Are extremely rude. Not only he didnt want to help I can hear him cursing about having to walk half way across the store to answer a question for me. And was not very helpful. But the people at the service desk and check out where a five star. But I dont believe cursing and a store is something I would call professional or should be allowed. You cant walk from where the light bulbs are at into where the wiring is at and I think maybe they should find another job.
Ive been quiet a few times since moving to the area. EVERY single time I went I got exceptional customer service. Once for lumber, once for plumbing, again for tools, once for a return and again for an exchange. Not necessarily in that order. 😅 The store is always clean, well stocked and organized and the employees are always happy, helpful and knowledgeable.
The people * working * there are the most disgruntled group of people Ive seen yet all in one store. The ones who stand at the self-check counters are clearly unhappy with their choice of income source. Ask them one question and theyre seemingly on the verge of telling you to do it yourself. Ive called ahead to ask about product availability, had the person in that department on the phone, and they tell me theres nothing like it there. Go in 10 minutes later and its on the shelf that they were supposedly looking at. I will gladly drive on down 290 to Ace for any other supplies that I need in the way of HD-type supplies.
People were standing around talking to each other instead of helping customers. One young man was running a forklift stopped Midway up I look to see what he was doing and he was playing with his phone online waiting on another spotter to show up. The cashier at the commercial check out a young blond woman was chit-chatting with one of the outside loaders some people came in and had to ask him to give them help. When I approached the counter with my goods I set a gallon of roof cement on the counter and she asked me if that was mine she was also playing on her phone as I walked up. I was also in there the day before and saw a lot of people just standing around worst Home Depot Ive ever been in.
AVOID IT LIKE THE BLACK DEATH! This Home Depot must scour the nation looking for the rudest nastiest people they can find to hire. I have never ever been treated so rudely by every person in a store. I thought maybe it was just the one trip but after a second trip there is no doubt this location has a serious problem. I’ll just drive down to Spring Branch from now on, the extra time and distance is worth it to avoid this place.
I bought a Cub Cadet string trimmer in August. Once it cooled off a little I used it for the first time in September. Next to my time share, it was probably the worst purchase in my life. By design it couldn’t even roll over a rock the size of a golf ball, as only having two wheels there was no way to move it forward except to manually push it around as hard as you can without slipping onto the thing seriously injuring yourself. So I tried to return it being I only used it once. The management denied me being it was 2 weeks outside of the 30 days. I took it home and gathered a few recently purchased items totaling $240 and returned those, and canceled my Home Depot credit card with them. Whats sad is how easy and eagerly Home Depot was to sever a 25 year relationship with me, especially since they have given millions Anti-American organizations recently. I practically built my home, many projects and a few remodels, countless tools and outdoor equipment using Home Depot. Fortunately there’s a nearby Lowes and Amazon Prime for me. Goodbye
This is an unusual store in that its always has exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Although I live in Austin, I almost always stop into this Home Depot when Im in Dripping if I need anything. In the past I didnt like Home Depot because although their selection and prices cant be beat, I always had a hard time getting help finding things (lets face it, the stores are huge and have everything). Over the last few years the company has done a great job improving customer service in all the stores I visit. This store however is exceptional. You almost always get a friendly greeting when you walk it. And an offer to help you find anything. Anyone you ever ask for help either helps right away or gets someone who can. Its never failed to happen and thats why I stop in this store most times Im in Dripping Springs.
We spent over 1880 on a lumber project. We spent 480 or so on a new dryer. When we were getting lumber an employee would just help load what we were getting at the time then walk away and begin talking with one of his buddies and on his phone. We filled up three carts plus a fourth.with blocks for leveling the foundation of our project. I told the cashier girl that the service was pathetic and all she said was sorry. We spent around $2300 plus and got the sorriest service imagineable. Personally i cant wait for Lowes to build a store in our area. Maybe the competition will make your store a little more customer conscience.
Ordered refrigerator online selecting Dripping Spring as home store. Went there to check on the issue of delivery that keeps getting postponed. They have nothing to do with online orders and I would just have to take it up with them. Stated everything is on back order and can’t get one. They don’t inform you there will be no guarantee of getting product just that it is on back order after you order and pay. Would not listen to a word I had to say, just kept saying we have nothing to do with it. Oh, and we are experiencing difficult times these days. I was made out to be the bad person because I was upset about it.
I wore my tool vest into this Home Depot, like I do every time I stop at a Home Depot during the work day. But this trip I wanted to look at some new tools and see how they might fit my vest. A gentleman told me he runs the pro tool desk and Im not allowed to bring my tools in because essentially it looks like Im stealing. Ive spent tens of thousands of dollars to Home Depot over the years and Ive never stolen anything. I didnt like being accused of looking like I might steal something. I think this guy was on a power trip and it put a really sour taste in my mouth.
Shopped at this Home Depot for seven years and todays visit was the worst. The box I asked for help with and loaded in my cart had been opened and half used. I didnt know until I got to my car and noticed the weight difference. The person helping me should have realized something was wrong. Then customer service replaced it with the wrong item. They are nice employees but not paying attention.
Just stopped at Home Depot and received great service. I am a small business owner and thought I would look at some of the reviews for Home Depot which is one of if not my favorite store. I found 2 people who had written reviews and mentioned other stores for your shopping needs. Why would someone try to sell another store unless they worked there. This is the same B.S. that we get on the internet with our business. If people would spend more time promoting there own business instead of disparaging others, how much more effective would they be? I HAVE BEEN SHOPPING AT HOME DEPOT SINCE THEY OPENED AND I HAVE ALWAYS RECEIVED GREAT SERVICE!. Dont listen to a slithering excuse for humanity who want to spread their misery to any and all. Go to Home Depot and enjoy the shopping experience!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK H.D.!
Like any other Home Depot or Lowes, employees with full knowledge of their section absent for the most part. Anti-union policies diminish attraction of good labor. Adding to this is a policy of very bare staffing. Difficult to find an employee that has time for you and the knowledge tovanswwr your questionm.
I love Home Depot and Lowes. I just moved to Dripping Springs and have made many trips to the Home Depot there. The employees are the friendliest Ive seen at any store. The store is clean. I cant bring myself to give it the full five star because it doesnt carry everything I need but its solid.
Have u ever been in a Home Depot and been unable to find an employee to help u? Me too! So annoying! Heres the GOOD NEWS: the Home Depot in Dripping Springs has great customer service. Ive been to this location twice in the last week and both times an employee approached me to offer help. Such a breath of fresh air! Thank you Dripping Home Depot! Keep up the good work.
Ordered online 8 bags of stuff - 2 each of mulch, pea stone, water softener salt, and top soil from opposite sides of the store. PayPald it, and when I got to the store about an hour later (after Id received an email and text saying it was ready to pick up), went to the customer service desk to sign for the order, and bingo! They asked me drive my car down to building materials and someone would load up my purchase. Done and done. Now, I did this on a Tuesday so Saturday may be different but they make the effort to get you on your way quickly.
Paint Master DON DOYLE helped me earlier this week in putting together just what I needed to stain an area of raw concrete along my homes foundation. Nothing more - nothing less, just exactly what I needed. Great guy with lots of knowledge, good advice, plenty of patience and a winning personality. Thanks, Don!
Shop here regularly as no other option in Dripping Springs. If there was a Lowes, I would take my business there at this point. I recently placed a very important Pro Desk order with Joe W. for LVL headers. I was told the headers would arrive in 2 business days (Friday) or worse-case on the 3rd business day (Monday). I told him, Monday is fine, Friday is great. Turn the page 7 days from my initial order. No calls from Home Depot. So I called them and asked about the order. I spoke with Larry at the Pro Desk and was told that he would call me back. Well, guess what? It is now Friday, 2 days of phone silence from HD with not a single proactive call from ANYONE. My order was promised to me 4 business days prior. Very poor Pro Desk service. I am stuck waiting for garage door headers & unable to complete the final framing construction of our building. Literally, everyday I dont get these LVL, is another work stoppage. I spend another 30 minutes today with the phone ringing off the hook at the Pro Desk and finally talked to Kate (+1 star for Kate) in customer service. She was great, called the vendor and called me back within 10 minutes. Im now being told that the LVL headers will arrive tomorrow or 9 days from my initial order. I understand vendor management is difficult, BUT do NOT promise me a delivery date & then fail to follow-up. This entire situation has cost me money and so far a week of delayed construction.
Google maps said this was Lowes. I asked Google maps to send me to Lowes and it guided me into Home Depot. Still says it is Lowes. I wonder how much money Home Depot pays Google to send potential Lowes customers to Home Depot. I hate Google. Its NOT RIGHT! Home Depot sucks too!
Not the best Home Depot. They should probably try to hire people that have at least a small amount of knowledge in regard to the department they work in. The garden department is pretty sad. Is it really that hard to water plants? Seems like it would be an enjoyable part of the job. I cant imagine what kind of person it would take to stand around and watch plants die. One of the female employees was complaining to another there was nothing to do. I have a suggestion. Water the dying plants.
09/21/2015The people at the Dripping Springs Home Depot were very nice and helpful - they are worth five stars.BUT, their appliance delivery service is terrible. They delivered our Refrigerator a week late (thankfully we had a back up in the garage). I called the delivery company four or five different times and I was only able to get ahold of them once and on that single occasion, they were rude and indignant.I would not buy anything from them again that relied on that delivery service. To be clear, I still go to the Dripping Home Depot and I like it/them. It is the delivery service that is bad. When I spoke to a Home Depot manager, he stated that they knew they were really bad and were trying to take steps to replace them, but it would take time.
Home Depot this place always has exactly what I need and then some. Every time I go I want up leaving with more than I originally wanted to even shop for. They have so many great ideas when you pass the isles they make it very tempting to want to purchase a lot of the items. so I do
The store employees hardly ever answer the phone once you get past the recorded stuff. And when they finally do by some miracle they cant get you to the right person or just hang up on you. But when youre in the store theyre pretty good and no problems. So I guess 50/50 is as best as it gets in Dripping Springs.
DO NOT BUY COUNTERTOPS FROM HOME DEPOT!!!!! This has been the worst experience Ive ever had with a retail company!!!!! It has been months since I first went to them about granite countertops. They will not answer the phone and Ive had to write notes and put them on their desk begging them to call me back!!!! Now the guys are FINALLY at my house and want to charge me $700 to pull the old countertops and wont out in the bathroom tops bc they didnt measure the backsplash correctly !!! They want me to tear down full sized mirrors in both bathrooms bc they dont know how to use a tape measure!!!!! How about a heads up guys? No courtesy call the day before!!!! STAY AWAY FROM HOME DEPOT!!!!!!
When I ask a service desk person if their large tool box could be put in layaway I was told That it could put in Will Call. Having never heard this before, I ask how muck I need to put down on it. Home Depot help desk answer? You need to put a 100% down and well call you. I did not go in there for a comedy show. Ive lived in Dripping Springs all my life and I promise you I will NEVER step in that store EVER again.
Friendly staff, but you can never trust what the Website says is in stock. I frequent this location multiple times a week due to location. At least every other week, something I need is out of stock, when the website says there’s plenty in the store. Sometimes I’ll come back a week later and it’s still not there after I’ve pointed it out to staff in that department. This has happened 7 times in the last 3 months throughout the entire store.
Considering this is the only place in town (without driving back in to Austin), they certainly could be lazy and not bother with good service or a nice store. Luckily they have friendly people who can usually help you figure out your problem. I even prefer them to the SW Austin location a lot of the time.

2022-04-15Great location, easy in and out, big parking lot, friendly and knowledgeable staff, more affordable prices than other home improvement stores nearby. I am just grateful there is a big home improvement retailer in Dripping Springs. I have also used their pro desk and referral service. They have great line up of independent contractors and home service pros available at your finger tips. I have noticed some items are out of stock when I needed them, but this experience is consistent at every retail store I have been in since the pandemic. If I am not complaining about the shortage of stuff in stock at HEB (which its everyday they run out of stuff), I cant really be complaining here.

2022-05-18This morning was a great experience at this Home Depot. Roger and Charlie went out of their way to help me find a grass seed that proved difficult to locate. In the end (10 minutes later) the store didn’t have it but they let me know I could order the product online which is great because mixing grass is a no no! They did not make me feel rushed at all… It is so nice when people go the extra mile😊

2022-04-12Excellent service. I guess I was here at the right time on the right day. Came looking for a poblano pepper plant for my sweet wife. Found only one in the bin unmarked. Brought it to the cash register where the clerk could not find the item in their database. He said well I guess it’s free today. Thank you Home Depot.

2022-05-17Jimmy at the rent and repair department is amazing.I’m a city boy who had to mow a lawn for the first time when I moved here. Of course a bent the blade driving my mower over a a tree stump.Jimmy helped me fix and understand the tools I need and how to fix it in my own next time.Others at this Home Depot were similarly helpful. My mower and I are back to work. And I feel better about my ability to take care of our new house with this Hime Depot near me.

2022-04-12Our company makes $90k per year of purchases from HD on average accordingly to our accounts Div. The DS store is one of the worse stocked stores seemingly purposely stocking in a way that manipulates your purchase to have to buy more fitting and accessories especially for plumbing and electrical than you would if they just stocked the correct options. Their response is ALWAYS the Bee Caves store has it. Well we’re not in bee caves out here now are we. This HD was once out of shovels while stocking xmas trees in October. Wow- guess what, they had shovels in bee caves. Second is the propensity of their staff stocking and doing other should be night time activities during peak store hours - they are ALWAYS in the way shutting down isle and running forklifts as if these clowns are running a DC rather than a retail outlet. Third is the customer service- try asking for help and you’ll find it’s viewed as a major imposition as well- they’re busy doing other things or they just plain don’t know anything about anything. A final straw we went to purchase t-bar wire clips which is essentially a 3” long piece of 12g wire pre bent to go around t posts. Most stores just give these away. The bags were ringing up for a penny a piece. We had 80 bags so we asked for help to enter 80 so we didn’t have to scan all of them. In the middle of scanning HD said there’s no way these were a penny and then took the bags away from us and lied to us stating that there way a safety recall on the bags of pre bent wire refusing to sell them to us. With men in the field we left empty handed and went to Tractor Supply- where without prompting they handed us a bag of 1000 clips FOR FREE. We’ve since checked back at the HD and found the so called recalled bags of clips sitting on the shelf this time with a price equating to a whopping $160 for 1000 clips. What a bunch of lying and cheats. So we are in the process of changing our corporate partners to Tractor Supply and Lowes. We’ve averaged $90k per year over the last 11 years with HD. And this DS location killed the deal in one dishonest spiteful 2 minute episode over some worthless wire clips which should of been honored on pricing where most ag and fencing places just hand them out. Karma. It’s coming. And it usually hurts. Good luck bozos…

2022-06-05If youre a contractor or a tradesman dont waste your gas going here, go to Mc Coys or an Austin. Home Depot. Ive wasted too many trips to this location to pick up construction supplies that are supposed to be in stock yet nowhere to be found.

2022-02-16If I’m honest, and God knows I try, the Home Depot management need to do a better job of keeping products in stock. This is not just a COVID influenced supply chain issue, it’s basics. Such as roofing vents and shingles, PEX fittings, garage storage, smart home electronics, electrical switches, PVC pipe, basic hand tools, micro-sprinkler items, etc. In fact, I cannot remember a time when I’ve gone to Dripping Springs Home Depot and found everything on my DIY list. And it’s not just me, when I talk to the associates, their standard answer is check homedepot.com where you can see which stores have what items. It’s a neat feature, but it begs the question, if the website has it, and other Home Depot stores in the vicinity have it, why doesn’t the Dripping Springs Home Depot have it? Brick & mortar retail establishments need to understand that there are other online retailers that will deliver items to my door the next day. There is a value that brick & mortar retailers still have, but if they cannot keep products in stock, or they cause you to drive an hour out of your way for a $20 item, the value is negated.

2020-05-09We do a lot of projects around the house and sometimes we need the national brand just for selection. This store has a community feel. Staff is friendly and they’ve handled the COVID thing very professionally.
