I purchased a Westinghouse generator that wouldn’t start, complete trash!! So I returned it two weeks ago. Since then I have wasted countless hours going back and fourth with Home Depot customer service and Home Depot Katy location to resolve or replace. In which none of them where helpful and lacked professionalism and customer obsession. But Kris and Britanny at the Westheimer location are the quintessential of customer service and professionalism! They are young, vibrant adults who handled my issues with ease. They need recognition for a job well done. I’ve dealt with all tenored employees who lacked the competency to handle the situation!Thank you KRIS AND BRITTANY!! I will remain a Home Depot customer because of you two!
3-23-22DO NOT BUY anything from here!I spent over 4,000$ on appliancesWas promised an afternoon delivery!Did not happen was on the phone for 3 hours with customer service they could not help and the only advise they always advised me is to cancel my order. They did not care. I hired someone to be at my house between 11:30-3:30 pm for the delivery today ( can you imagine?) they called at 10:45 am saying they are coming to my house now I said my delivery is scheduled between 11:30-3:30 pm and they lied that they came to my house at 11:30 and no one was there but no one came. Also stated that they did but I have a screen shot that I attached here that they updated it at 10:46 am!! What a coincidence that the exact time they called.What a big failure!!!Such a shame for a big brand like this to lack the service.It is so disappointing that this was my to go store and loved the people who worked there but because of this horrible experience I have been having for the delivery service I am canceling my entire order and will NEVER come back to this store or even shop at this brand ever. That is how much it has disgusted me.
I give them ZERO STARS I been shopping at this store for over 15 years and never had problems before but this last time I got a bunch of plants which I always do and a lot of time they die and I just throw them away but I got tired of doing that so I when to. Exchange them it was only 2 small ones only 1.48$ each but I forgot my receipt so they gave me a hard time so I got upset and drove back to get it when I got there it was a different person it turned out it was a “manager “ she was so rude I only wanted to exchange them it was only 3.21$ She didn’t ask me what I wanted to do she didn’t say hi or thank you she was talking to an other employee I spend thousands there but NEVER AGAIN I wasted more gas
So.. here I am having just purchased a container of Rust-Oleum spay paint. I had to go on line to confirm that its waterproof. It is. When I asked the young man in the paint department if it was waterproof his response was, what do you mean waterproof?. I wish Id asked what do you mean what do I mean?So sad. If someone in management reads this heres his description. Young African American. Big, maybe 6 ft 3 or more. Its 3:25 on Tuesday. So many people told me to look one place and another for the item I was looking for and then there was a tall gentleman name Travis... He was AWESOME, so sweet and nice and helped me find the item I was looking for after over 30 minutes of walking around the store looking like a lost pup! He actually saw me a second time, wondering around and asked if I had found what I needed, once he learned I had not, he escorted me directly to where it was. I was so appreciative and I want to say thank you again Travis! You saved me so much money!
Cant pay for my stuff cause Jakeline doesnt chek out black people. Because of Her horrible attitude and unwillingness to help ill never return to this hedepot. At the register you should never be on your personal phone. Not waiting for.you to get done with your convo just to pay you.
I am used to write reviews only for bad things but I think we should recognize the good things as well.. I visted this Home Depot today looking for some pvc pipes to send out some artwork by mail. An employee who was such a gentleman came and offered to help me. He, not only chose the right pipe, he offered to cut it as many times and for the lengths I needed. He then talked to me about other kinds of pipes that can be better for that purpose and even walked me to the area where the cutting tools were. After paying for my products (first two cuts are free so I wasn’t charged for his job) I was walking to my car and saw this same employee helping another lady. He carried two very heavy propane gas tanks to her car and made sure they were secured before she drove off. People like him, make my day. They go beyond and give 200% for the customer. I called the store to report my great experience to a manager but nobody picked up the phone, they were probably busy. I will try to post a picture of him (I took while he was cutting the pipes) so you can recognize him if you visit the store. I wish I had asked for his name. Gotta love when people is kind to others. Give you a little bit of hope in these dark days. ❤️
I visited Home Depot with the hopes to starting my first garden. I was pretty clueless on what I truly needed, but Thank God Thomas was there to save the day. Its super refreshing to speak to an associate that actually knows what hes talking about. Overall, great Home Depot!
Employees have a job getting a paycheck to do a service!. But I have been in this particular location two days in a row. To purchase a connection fitting for my kitchen sink to connect my water hose to it. Both days I visited this store I asked for assistance in the plumbing department asile 8 and 9. No in store employee that is supposed to be working the plumbing department came to assist me. So I have purchased the wrong fiting connection!. Having to return the first fiting!, to then ask for assistance again today. And once again. Employee working plumbing was called over the louder speaker/paged. Noone never showed up!. So once again I took a wild guess at it. And I get home! Nope not this one either. Its truly sad to see people comain about not having a job!. But then when they get one!. They drop the ball miserably. I wish there was another home depot close to me.
I would like o take the time to rate Home Depot because of David. I went one Saturday evening to purchase some insulation and David( Hispanic young man) help us. He was very helpful and professional. Home Depot should hire more people like David to give great customer service.
Went there this morning to buy rolls of 250 feet of romex, but they have the rolls locked for anti-theft purposes. They could not find the magnetic key to unlock this merchandise. I lost $50+ of my time just waiting around for their practice in failure. This store is a joke... and always have holes in there shelves.
I LOVE this place. Everything that Lowe’s is not, this Home Depot is!! Amazing customer service from the top to the bottom - love working with Sharnay in customer service, she goes above and beyond. Luis, Cliff and Miracle in the blinds department are simply amazing to work with. I can’t say enough good things about this place.I made the mistake ONE TIME to step out on them and try Lowe’s. Never again. I’m reminded every time I come why I will ALWAYS choose Home Depot.
Amazing Team that goes above and beyond. I recently went in to purchase paint for my new apartment and the young lady in the paint department made sure I had everything I needed. Today I went in to purchase some hurricane prep list items and I saw her again. She remember me and we talked about how well the paint looked with my furniture. This is a great staff and they love their guests!!
It’s a cold day and many including us lose electricity and power. We arrived a bit after 6pm and we rushed in. The guy at the door is so nice and accommodating he let us in, we were desperate. Our home is out of power we would not be able to survive the night if not because of him and that we went into the store and got a bag of woods to light up the fireplace. Right after he let us in I saw the lady manager blamed him and criticized him, I felt so bad. We really wanted to go thank him before we left the store and gave him a tip but we couldn’t find him. Sometimes a little thing you do in life can give someone a warm night, a touching story or light up someone’s heart. And I hope the manager of the store can see this message and promote the person at the door. I will write a strong recommendation letter for him!
Color matched my paint fast, but there was easy 10 ppl in line and 5 registers closed. Two employees just stood there talking about their schedule in front of me. I’m sure there is a more appropriate time to discuss that and instead help customers with checkout. One just stared at me the entire time I stood in line. So awkward.
Awful customer service. I never knew I had the invisible super power until I walked into the home depot on Dunvale. A friend and I stood in the customer service line as 2 associates looked at a computer screen. Another sales associate walked up and started a conversation with one of the other associates not once acknowledging us. It wasnt until we ASKED are you guys taking returns that we were helped ever after several eye contact moments. We were being respectful of what they were working on at first but to be blatantly ignored crosses a line. Once WE (the customer) greeted the PAID EMPLOYEE, Her excuse was Im not usually up here ARE YOU KIDDING ME, customer service doesnt require a brainiac to be polite. You are being paid to provide a service to the public. There are plenty of individuals who would love your job and would appreciate the customers who help keep them employed. Its terrible when youre tested with such disregard and youre spending your money.
Devante stationed by the cashier saw my mother trying to carry a couple of gallons of pressure washing spray and immediately went to her assistance. After checking out, he even carried the gallons to her car. A true professional and gentleman at Home Depot! Thanks, Devante!
Bad customer service. The lady names Johnie at customer service desk tried to hide items which are currently for sale. She realized the price was cheaper than on the system, then always wanted me stayed at her desk. She walked through to the locked cage near the check out registers. She told the lady over there about cheap price and didn’t want me see the items when I was approaching there. She tried to telling me there were no item which I was looking for, and closed the case as fast as she could. Finally they denied selling me that item. So frustrating about this Home Depot. Must be the worst Home Depot I’ve seen. She need to be trained how to be polite and honest with customers.
DO NOT allow your packages to be delivered to this location! Today I dealt with them giving my package away to another person. You would think with COVID going on they would be a little more careful with giving the correct packages out right? The first employee came out and told me that they made the mistake, said the other customer that took my package would be back in 10 minutes but shell mark 50% off. A few minutes passed and another employee comes out to say Ill have to most likely come back tomorrow... they couldnt get in touch with the customer... but didnt the first employee say 10 minutes? They called me a few hours later saying the customer brought it back. I called when I arrived and the phone hung up. I decided to go in and all of a sudden, they cant do the 50% off. The manager on duty thought that it wasnt a big deal I guess and decided to knock it down to 10%.... couldnt do that. Hopefully no one has an order with the same letter last name as you on the same day. Youve been warned.
Absolutely horrible management. Got on the phone today to ask for something very simple and was met with rudeness and attitude. As the phone call progressed he got much more rude and even raised his voice a few times. I usually love this Home Depot but this interaction made me never to want to go back. I would rather drive across Houston at 5 o clock on a Friday than ever go back to this location.
I would give 0 star if I can. Order carpet - paid and get receipt - they said I haven’t pay then ask me to wait 10 days to solve issue. So I don’t get my carpet and paid 2k$ for nothing. Not able to refund not knowing to get carpet install..... be I phone with them foe 1.5 hrs they said call back in 4 days !!!! Most horrible experience. “Allen” said he is the manager but not giving any other info not sure. They should have been more professional being such a big company !!!!
Made a curbside order for today. More than half of my small order was refunded because they were out of everything. Also, they gave me the wrong items so Ill have to go in and make a return, even though I need to do curbside. When I got there, the guy who brought out my order ignored me when I thanked him twice then he slammed my back door so hard it scared me. Wont be back.
The people are nice enough I suppose. Just dont bother calling ahead. I tried to gather some information about a set of drills but out of the 5 times I called, I was hung up on 3 times. Once, I was transferred before hearing the dial tone, so theres that.. and when I finally persuaded someone to try to help me, she took the SKU number and put me on hold for over 10 minutes. I ended up going into the store and coming to my own conclusion before buying what I wanted. Im not sure how much business they would get if not for a decent selection because for me, my purchase was not dependent on their customer service or shall I say, lack thereof.
This was by far the best customer service I have received in a long time. The cashier was very helpful and pleasant and although we were having an issue with the price of our item, she took the time to make sure we were charged correctly and she assisted other customers and gave them also the same great service while waiting for assistance with the price of ours. This same cashier asked us before we were ready to check out if we were ready to check out and that showed us she was attentive of the customers. Never did she make us feel like we were a bother or act like she did not like her job. Good to know there are still good people out there with good work ethics.
Im a little disappointed with one of the crew members at the self register one of them a hispanic young lady was very helpful when I asked her about an item that I was looking for, she kindly help me to locate the item letting me know to look it up at isle #10 but when I was ready to pay she told me to take one of the registers that was available at the self check out and a white young lady at the self check register cut me off! Even seeing me that I was in front of the register she scanned her employee batch card and scanned an item not even apologizing for it the other one saw her and apologize on behalf of the other one saying sorry maam and the other one ignore me and it was speaking with the hispanic one letting her know about the client that forgot an item on a cart that she was taking care of..... unbelievable!.. that was so rude I just kept quiet 🤐 in disbelieve apparently some one else before me forgot to scan an item and she find out and was doing something and scanning it... I went at 5/01/2021 at 08:22 pm some employees need Customer Service classes or someone to educate them to have manners!😉
I bought edge trimmer 2 years ago, stopped working within a week so I took it back to the store to exchange it, the associate called manager and they told me because its still under manufactured warranty they will not be able to service it, so I should buy another one n bring this one 2 years later and they will take care of it, so I did go today around 3:30 pm on 04-29-19, and same thing happened the call manager (Tonya), she came over and said we cant do anything call the 800 number, and am sure we didnt tell you that you can come back in 2 years, and said I been manager in this store for over 2 years and II dont remember talking to you, as if she is the only one manager in the store, and as that happened I took my recipient and said thank you, walked in to grab some paint, the security or the police officer walked behind me, and said that I dropped a piece of paper of my pocket and I need to go pick it up, so I said oh really is that part of your job to chase people around the store asking them to pick lil paper fell of their pocket, he said now am causing a scene and I need to leave the store, so did as he said, i got into my car and was calling the home depot on the phone, the officer flowed me and stated questioning me why am parked in the handicap spot, so I showed him the disability tag was hanged on my Windshield, so he tried to he cool and give me advises on how I can exchange that trimmer, and I told him are you done now ? you can walk back to your post, and stop trying making it look like your are nice. Never go to this store again they will lie to you no matter what and then will ask you to leave their store.
This is my neighbourhood store and visit all time. I went this Black Friday for purchasing large appliance. Person managing Appliance section or any associate wasn’t interested in customer experience. Had to wait for almost an hour and finally person who came help us was clueless on our questions And even basic ones and finally i had to purchase at another store and my experience at lowes was very different yday and i think they are learning from their past mistakes. You can have best of technology but not all will purchase through amazon or through websites... what matters is experience and someone just explaining few words makes big difference and makes you repeat customer.
I came in for this ONE item, had a photo and description taken directly off the Home Depot website.First employee I asked said we dont carry parts for Lazy Susans.Second employee I asked said that the store had two in stock but that he had NO idea where they were.He did briefly help look for it before giving up and telling me to check other stores.After combing the isles I found it.The store had three in stock.I also must add that the constant beeps coming from the security cameras in this store are beyond annoying.I will gladly drive outta my way to buy what I need at Lowes.
I love this location so much they are so helpful and organized . Compared to other locations they are the best . We used to go to the other location on beltway 8 and they are horrible always have attitude don’t even help the customers do we decided to come here and now that’s our favorite location .
Majority of the employees there know absolutely nothing about merchandise and can find one that gets an attitude from time to time but not always. Can be messy with items in wrong place at times (not just this location). The main positives is all home depots give 10% to military/veterans which is very outstanding to do that across the country as well as they never give problems about returns on items.
Horrible customer service. Hardware department un educated. A staff member had attitude. Unwilling to cooperate with customer. Had been in construction for 13 years. Worst experience at hardware store ever. Corporate needs to get involved in customer service at location. Will never purchase anything from home depot ever again. Education of team members is a priority. A positive attitude should be a priority when dealing with customers. Education and knowledge of product should be enforced.
Claims to give military discount but does not. Only went here cause pipe and fittings are in short supply or not available at LowesIf they dont want to give the discount then stop saying it. Claim they can only give it on certain items. Well, plumbing supply should be given?Service is poor anyway
Just went to the store for black Friday and noticed that the 18v 6 piece tool kit from Ryobi was reduced from $199 to $119 (took a picture but couldnt figure out how to attach it). When I got to the cashier, the machine was showing it to be $199c so I called one of the workers named Julio, showed him the pictures, walked the to the shelves together and he came to the conclusion that it was a mistake by the store and that he couldnt give me the $119 price marked. My issue is that is not fair that its marked as a price on the shelves and then they dont respect it when I go to the cashier, when I asked him to talk to a manager, he denied it to me and told me that I could only deal with him.At last, I find it amazing that a multi million dollar store cant respect their price that they wrote, especially when there were multiple items next to those tools where the price had been scratched and the new price was higher and Im SURE the cashier would have had no issue charging that higher price.We sadly just left it there and plan to just get one on Amazon instead.
I like the place only its been twice that I get help from the same older white Caucasian man about 60 years old hes a little snooty and very nosey. If you were to ask him for a Phillips screwdriver, hed ask you what for, then when you tell him, hell contradict you and tell you you cant do that.
This store has terrible parking, extremely rude customer service guy whos name I didnt get, I wish I had thought, hes a fool who has no business in customer service at all... However, Brittiny is exactly what customer service is supposed to be. Home Depot, if you are listening, model your team around her. I demand customer service to be everything its supposed to be and Brittiny delivered. Thank you Brittiny, you are a rock star ⭐
Jonathan in the tool rental area was the best. I was in dire need of a drain cleaner and he took the time to go over my needs and help me pick the correct tool for the job. Even though he didnt have to he offered to help load it up after showing me how it all worked. I wish there were more stars to give Johnathan in the tool rental area but they only let me go to 5.
Been shopping at Home Depot for 20 years. I spend around $25k annually for my pool company there. No more. Getting hassled because I loaded concrete from the contractor pickup. Employee said I have to get it from the isle inside. Turning my 800lbs into 1600lbs. The clueless “manager” doesn’t know what their policy is. This was the most convenient supplier for me. Not going back. Lowe’s even helps load it. This Home Depot had 4 employees sitting outside watching then berate me. I’m livid.
We were very grateful for the knowledge and help that Terry provided to us yesterday evening. He was the only employee in the store who knew how to operate the pipe cutter and even though he worked in hardware, he was eager to come assist. He also offered to train two other associates while he worked on our project for us. He is most definitely one of the most knowledgeable Home Depot employees we have ever met. Please extend our appreciation to him!
As a Residential Property Manager I go to Home Depot all over the Greater Houston area. This was one of the cleanest and most organized of the ones Ive been to. The only thing I dislike with Home Depot itself is the self serve cashier even when its not busy like today, so I drop them a point customer service is still important but Home Depot is missing that.

Order and pickup online is a joke. Just stood in line behind 10 people with 1 person working. Guy came up and asked what we needed after i said i had an internet pickup he just walked off not helping 1 single person. . I finally left after 30 minutes. Isn’t this about convenience? Every person in front of me had returns. I could literally see my order. This is why Lowes is winning! No customer service! Home Depot on Westheimer. Sunday, March 31st, 4:20pm. Guy never even appeared to call for assistance!
Went on 4/15/19 a little before 8 pm. Tried to get a duplicate house key made. Both of the “do it yourself” kiosks need an associate code to proceed. We asked 3 incompetent people in the front and they all called over the intercom for assistance as they went on with their convos as if we didn’t exist. One was a mid-age African American woman, another was a younger African-American man with glasses. They were talking about who was “slacking” and when my girlfriend asked if anyone was coming one just said “we already called it”. The younger Hispanic girl was tossing a water bottle in the air and completely delusional of what was happening. The older African American lady finally went to ask another lady if anyone was coming but it immediately turned into a nice little convo between them and completely forgot we existed again. We just walked out without anyone stopping us after about 15-20 minutes of this. No wonder they are stuck working a job they hate. Terrible attitudes and won’t step foot in this location again. I never make reviews like this, but felt like someone needs to be alerted of this laziness and lack of respect. And people wonder why America is turning into a “hands out” country where people are “wanting” instead of “earning”
Terrible experience all the associates just past by and no one to help me I spent 45 min trying get a bath tub from the top rack. I asked 3 associates and nobody did something to help. Mr. Theo. Mr.Aro. Mr.Kosi Are all worthless !!!Waste of my Time. And after One hr they still not being able to get my bath tub from the top Shelf.Don’t Shop this store
Used to be a 5 star review. But this particular store has been going down hill last month or so. There online stock never reflects whats actually in store, service is super slow and under staffed, and things are always out of stock. Its become extremely frustrating and disappointing as I loved this location.
The 5 stars are for Darrious! Home Depot itself would get zero stars. There were 5 people waiting in paint. We had severwl associates page someone. I ended up having to call on the phone. Luckily Darrious didnt just sit around he actually came to the paint department. Was multi tasking with several customers at once not missing a beat. This is the type of service i thrive for and he was able to change my entire mood. If no one else tells Darrious i am saying it GREAT JOB assisting everyone with a great attitude!!!!
Great experience!!! The employees were very helpful specially Omar we waited to be helped buying a grill he went above and beyond to help. The supervisor was very helpful and Juanita the cashier had a great attitude she seem happy to help us out. totally recommend this location
One of the managers his name is Joe great guy Im glad hes there because outside of him the staff can barely tell you where a department is little loan what products are in it or be knowledgeable about them a trip that should have taken me half hour at most had someone known what it was I was looking for and where to find it wound up being nearly 2 hours luckily I found Joe and he was able to help me immediately products and pricing I find to be excellent but they do need to work on educating their staff
Tried to return an item, but NO...said could not verify it came from Home Depot. No time to waste with this nonsense!! Also asked looking at water heaters, asked for guesstimates on installation...no one could offer any help! HOW MUCH DOES A WATER HEATER INSTALLATION COST?? Still don’t know!
This home depot deserves a 0 not a 1. I transfered to this store from a different one. This store is horrible to its employees and only treats them as expendable. Its like working for a concentration camp. Dont work there and you shouldnt shop there. The store manager is a jerk which makes all of the employees give bad customer service.
Non knowledge workers. The workers have no idea about what they are selling!! No experience in the sections that they work in. Overpriced and can’t understand most of the workers!!! LOWES gets its name from Home Depot. Just compare the both. Home Depot lets vagrants and stealing bums (Mexicans) stand outside the store scoping their customers. LOWES has your back. Runs the trash off.
People at this store are rude. I was at this store waiting for 2 hours for someone in electrical to help me and finally when they came they were rude and non helpful. I called the manager to make a complaint and another rude person. No one helped me or my family. Terrible customer service.
Good selection of items if anyone asked if you need help say yes and tell him what youre looking for otherwise when you need to find someone you may be walking all over the store looking for help so accept their help right up front and tell him what youre looking for
Went in looking for 1.5 inch Brads for an air nailer. Needed help so I walked around the area looking for an employee. No one in sight, so I went to the cashier to page someone. After 5 minutes, still no one, so I grab a box of nail that may fit and work in my brand of nailer.
Shout out to Devan in the rental area. We came in ready to pick up our Penske truck we had reserved a month ago. We believe it was out on the lot but we beat the driver in with the key. Driver actually told us, “The key was not working well but it would work.” Devan went out and couldn’t even get in the truck. From that point on she went out of her way to make sure we got what we needed even staying late.

2022-03-17Home Depot is a really large place, with lots of tools, gardening, outdoor accessories, indoor accessories, remodeling decor, tools for work, wood and etc. A place such as home can be maintained and well taken care of with everything you need in this place.

2022-04-30Like every Home Depot this one is laid out completely different than every other one. This of course is to get you wandering and buying more. This is also one of the largest HDs in the Houston area, if not the largest or so I think. The only complaint I really have is regarding the garden department, it is in the absolute farthest part of store from the checkout area. Helpful hint:. Park in garden area for closest access to plumbing, you can checkout at usual registers, and simply turn around and walk out the entrance.

2022-06-20Pretty below average Home Depot. I went there an hour before closing and saw the main doors were locked. No sign to use the other door and waving at the people inside just got ignored. Went in from the exit and asked if they were still open and got a belabored nod that they were.Their selections were pretty poor as well. I needed a weed eater attachment but they didnt have the one I needed. I ended up going to the suburbs and found one there instead. I guess this location is mostly for contractors who work in the rich Memorial houses and so the staff dont respect the customers and look down on them. If the actual memorial residents shopped here, itd be all yes sir, let me help you find that, but not here...they see you and assume youre a day laborer and ignore you.

2020-07-25Always a pleasure. They make it easy.We order online. They are relatively fast. Currently we have an incomplete order which is nice that they filled the bulk, but the other item is really one that should be shortest lead.The attendees at the store are nice, but many times they lack hands on experience. This is typical of any Home Depot where these is a mix of some experienced, but a large bulk of workers who have never really done any handy work before and lack product experience. Smaller stores like Berings have more hands on.Home Depot has nice prices and a good array of products from basic to premium. Always go for lumber and such.I would buy more larger items if they did free or discounted delivery; not much to ask if one is spending several hundred dollars on a large item. Especially when I live within 5 miles. That would be a cheap win.

2022-05-12Always in stock but some of the workers definitely dont know how to spot a thief versus an actual customer and that bigotry is not appreciated. It would be great for people to just admit they dont know where things are.

2022-02-05Employee on aisle avoided me like the plague leading me to believe he didnt have a clue. He was touching boxes but not really doing anything. SMH. I look for items that I need before asking for help so I did and found it. I found all my items without assistance which is typical for HD.
