The Home Depot in other cities:
Mary from the kids workshop being unreasonable. Went to pick up kit for my girl to do at home since shes not feeling well. Mary said too bad she cant get one cuz shes not there in person. REALLY?! Weve been going to their workshop for 7 years and have always loved the program. She just ruined it for my girls.
An older staff member told me she could not have anyone help me cut wood because it was past 7pm i mentioned a gentleman had helped me last week around 8. She said he probably did it as a favor to me but they could not dot it and i asked her to please help since i dont live close and she said no and walked away. Luckily on my way out i saw the gentleman, Ed, and he agreed to again help me.I realize closing duties are tiring i too work in retail but it took him 5 minutes to help, customer service goes a long way. Thank you Ed
It took over 30 (maybe closer to 40?) minutes for someone to help us find out if an item was in-stock or if we can have the display. We were told to wait near customer service until someone could come to help us yet there were about 6 employees just standing and talking about non work related stuff at the customer service desk/area. There were multiple emoyees literally bored who refused to help us until the garden center employee was available to check and see if a patio chair was in stock. Worst experience ever received anywhere. They even called for the manager to come to customer service to help us after no one else came and they never even showed up. Ended up getting help half an hour later by a random employee. Dont want to go back in the future and will probably only shop online from now on or go to a different location.
I was visiting from out-of town and needed to repair a pair of floor candleabras for a concert. I went to buy the tools and supplies and much to my surprise the Home Depot Angel bynthe name of Travis was working that day. He asked me if I needed help and I explained to him what I was going to do. He told me he would fix them for me and he did. He was my hero that day.
Talked to four different staff and all went out of their way to help me. Even the cashier wiped down one of my items (it was very dusty) before letting me check out. The department manager also took the time to show me the different types of the items I was looking for, helping me select the right one.
The store was a little messy and the isles a little narrow but their selection was well stocked. We were not helped or greeted by anyone even though there were employees present and more than 1. We were going to buy underlining for our flooring we bought yesterday for our living room, kitchen and hallways as well as paint for our entire home. We decided to just go to our usual location because this store and the Lowe’s down the way have terrible service. Terrible. There were items and a few wires in the middle of the isles that anyone could have tripped on.
This is a nice Home Depot. I think one of the nicer ones in Houston. The layout is pretty easy to follow, but a little compact. The folks here are nice enough, so no complaints there. If you havent downloaded their app, you should probably get on that. Itll make your life so much easier when youre trying to find something in the store.
Joey is the inside/outside garden associate that knows where every thing is. Been there for years, always helpful, knew all pond products are discontinued at this Pin oaks location. That is a bummer bc I go to this location over 20 years for pond chemicals. Joey googled a needed floating pond filter at Westheimer location for me.Always ask for Joey .
I had a online order from this location today. The order was processed extremely fast! I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! The lady that brought out my curbside order, which was extremely fast, was VERY polite and professional!!! If I ever need anything from Home Depot I will be sure to use this location! This place really has there service and store together!!!!
I wish there was a minus section , I most definitely would leave a score of minus 5. This store on SW loop 410 San Antonio TX is terrible . They dont have anybody to help at all you can stand around for an hour like I did on my last visit. Then they start a count down till the store closes putting more pressure on you. obviously I could not find what I was looking for and needed help. I asked him to send somebody nobody ever showed up. but yet they kept announcing 10 minutes before we close 5 minutes before we close 3 minutes before we close one minute before we close the registerers will be closed in one minute bring all your purchases to the front. I have been putting up with this for years. I called corporate the other day and the young lady had nothing to say. except for me to maybe call ahead to let them know Im coming to look for a certain bolt. but then again I have called before to ask if they have something and nobody ever answers the phone it will ring and ring and ring. I dont know what home Depot is doing at this particular store. Actually there is two stores near my house to do this. they will even start stocking before the store closes. totally ridiculous as much as I hate to admit it I dont like Lowes but I will start going there. now every time I go to home Depot I cringe, knowing that Im going to have a bad experience. very sad very disappointed
Me waiting in line during the Texas power rolling outages. 🙄 Home Depot handled the added demand well given the circumstances. Hopefully lessons are learned and a storage warehouse for generators wood etc are being stockpiled for future outages. Many departments for D.I.Y.ers, for home improvements from the windows to the wall, home depot has it all.
Home Depot messed up my order numerous times and then refused to make any reasonable efforts to recover from their mistakes.. I placed an order Tuesday morning for about $1,800 of lumber and other materials on their website. I was supposedly shopping at the Pin Oak store. Everything was shown to be in stock in quantites far exceeding what I was ordering. Delivery was promissed for Wednesday. Late Wednesday a truck arrived with a partial delivery from another Home Depot store and the quantities delivered did not match the delivery receipt. I made numerous atemps to call the store but nobody would answer the phone. I finally was able to reach a person on their national help line. She was able to get us connected to the store manager and they promissed material would be delivered Thursday. Wednesday night I received a phone call from Home Depot that my missing material was being cancelled and my credit card refunded. Had to issue a new store order for the missing material and was promissed delivery by 10 am Friday. This new order apparently was supposed to be filled by the Pin Oak store. Friday I received notice that the delivery would not be until Saturday. I finally got somebody at the store to answer the phone. Apparently they assigned the delivery on the wrong type of truck and could not make the delivery as promissed and said there was nothing they would do about it except deliver it on Saturday. They also have serious isssues with their app. Impossible to log into my account from my phone due to technical issues. Had no trouble logging into the account from the desktop.
I purchased a tool at home Depot on 610 and it didnt work, on my way home i stopped at home Depot off of 59 & little York... not only did they replace it i found i had paid $20.00 at the other store and received a refund..i will definitely keep shopping at this home Depot
This location is pretty decent. It depends on what day you go and what staff members are working. Some staff members are helpful and others just dont seem to give a damn. Shelves are usually well stocked and they have a variety of plants. Overall its a good Home Depot.
Very lazy crew of workers. I asked a question to an lady in self check out and she was just lookin at her phone and was lean against a register as if she were holding it up…. Then drags her feet over to talk to two other workers… seriously if you don’t want to help people why even bother getting into retail. This is why we don’t use our pro card and cut most of our business with home depot…
Akeem (unsure of spelling) saw me loading mulch and came over to help me. As we were loading stuff he said he actually works there but was on his break but saw me loading all my mulch (22 bags) and wanted to help because its quite hot out today. He made the job much faster and easier, awesome guy!1 year later a wonderful man named Andrew came and helped me (30 bags of mulch today) and he was just great! These two young men are shining examples of wonderful customer service.
I went to the store today, had an issue with my home depot credit card and a few missing receipts. Mr. Kadel the onsite manager, took the time to listen, and help me out! Trust me I was having a bad day, thinking that I lost the receipts to the items I purchased and he saved the day!He offered great customer service and was kind! I recommend this store as they have employees that do not turn you away, even if you look and sound a little crazy from a long day in the office. Thanks Home Depot !
Poor customer service, waiting at the cutting center for 20 minutes. Customers are waiting to get their hardwood/common boards cut. Asked for customer services four times and still no one to help. Not one person explained to us what we needed to do not help us. Seen seven employees just walk back and forth. The only person that checked on us and was super helpful was DRE.
Decent merchandise, horrible installation services. Bought a kitchen sink and $300 for installation. It took 10 long phone calls to set it up. They showed up on time but the plumber, amazingly, started complaining that he didnt know if the new sink would fit, he might have to move a pipe, etc. Then he literally walked out the door and left! I hired a local plumber who did a beautiful job the next day, same price. Even worse: Home Depot will not refund the $300 they charged me for installation. Another 10 phone calls and nobody will do anything. What an awful company. Criminal.
Often the website says they have a large amount of a given product, upon arrival this turns out to not be the case. This has caused me to waste time on numerous occasionsThe employees put forth an effort but I feel like they all should be just a bit less quick to dismiss peoples question.
Absolutely the worst Home Depot location I have ever visited. I used the app to find the isle for the product I needed, because I am self sufficient and capable of doing things for myself. But when the product wasn’t in that specific isle, and after walking around the store three times, I attempted to ask an employee, who simply said “if it isn’t in that isle, I guess we don’t have it”. So I asked another employee, then another employee...no one even attempted to help me look for it.To add to this experience, an employee was organizing a display and standing in the middle of the isle, so when I said excuse me to pass by she just stood there, looked at me rudely and said “you can pass by!” I guess implying there was enough room for me to pass without her moving. I was trying to be polite, as to not brush her or anything as I passed. I’m upset at myself for not bringing this to a manager’s attention while I was there.Ultimately, the fifth (5th!!) employee I asked to help me find the product finally at least attempted to help me, when I figured out on my own that it was probably near the seasonal isle, which he directed me towards. So congratulations, your store has at least one helpful employee! I will definitely not be returning back to this store for anything. I’ll just go to Lowe’s down the freeway.
We received courteous help as we were choosing flowers and peppers to plant in our garden. However, when I entered the store, I inquired of three different employees where to find picture hangers. Each pointed to an area which seemed to get me closer to them. However, I was never able to actually find them and walked out.
I spoke with 3 employees during this trip and not one of those interactions was helpful in any way. The first employee had the section of the isle the wrenches were on complete blocked off with a gate so she could restock things at ground level.I needed 2 wrenches and was completely ignored by this employee. The second employee approached me while I was looking at sink drains to ask me if I needed any help and when I started describing what I needed help with he literally walked away from me mid sentence so he could go straighten items 10 feet down the isle from me. The third employee I approached to ask for contact paper. He sighed and pulled out his phone took a few minutes and then told me the contact paper was on isle 13. Tell me why the only items on isle 13 are pvc and pvc related. I will never spend my money at this location again this entire trip was a complete nightmare. Save your money and shop at south land hardware. They are waaay more equipped to help if you have any questions.
Worst customer service experience Ive ever had, and that includes AT&T. LOL. We dropped over $1,000 for fence materials. They were rude, and also ordered INDOOR wood, which obviously we did not realize at the time. They refused to come pick it up, I assume because they didnt want to pay the $70 fee for their delivery contractor to get it. One contractor called me at 5:55 AM to tell me he wasnt going to come get it because it had been unbound. We had to do that to move it as they laid it partially in the neighbors yard. I offered to load it onto his truck myself with my son, but he refused to come out. Many, many, many phone calls later and after over THREE months, they returned our money. This was only because our bank got involved. Problem was, it had lain in our front yard so long, we were going to get in trouble with the civic association, and we had to pay hundreds to have it hauled off. By then, it had warped and split. It also killed our grass.I sense there is very poor training for employees, and they do not care. Treated lumber for a fence should have been ordered in the first place. I strongly discourage you from ever buying lumber or any other expensive product from this store. They put us through hell.
I was able to get everything I needed, but it is hard to find things if you’re not a regular at the store. A couple more people working to help customers find what they’re looking for would be nice. While I was there I was among a few wandering around hopelessly, and when I finally found a clerk it seemed that everyone was trying to ask her where their item was too
Ordered a door for a house we are selling and it was delayed. Called to get a refund and was told that they could not refund it because it was a special order and not at the store yet. I asked when it will be at the store because all I get in emails is your order had been delayed. They cannot give me a date. When I asked so you can hold on to my money for potentially months I was told yes that is their policy.
Beware of their free, at-home water testing promotion, theyll offer a gift card and will increase the amount if you schedule an appointment today. After responding to an in-store survey, I was hounded with calls from a sales rep named Nat about this promotion. I decided to schedule an appointment to get the gift card offered - only after asking if the rep follows COVID-19 protocols. Yes, they do.The rep came by, didnt have a mask on and only started to put one on when he was walking into my home. He did some basic water tests and made some suggestions about caring for our water system.Days later, no update on the $40 gift card offered for the appointment. Nat gave me the run around saying Id get a gift card via email within five business days. When that didnt happen she said shed ask her manager for an update and get back to me. Then she didnt return a voice mail. Today, a couple weeks later I finally got her on the phone and she informed me I wasnt eligible for a gift card because the rep couldnt complete his water tests (he did) and then, because I already have a reverse osmosis water system already installed.Dont use these tactics to get into someones home to sell them your water systems, especially during a pandemic.
I evacuated with my family to Houston for Hurricane Laura from Lake Charles. After confirmed reports of damages to my home I decided to stop in at this store to pick up needed supplies (chainsaws, gas cans...) before returning to start clean up. I asked 4 people (1 was a manager) for help getting to the chainsaws, which are locked away. Finally a cashier named Joshua came to my rescue. I explained my issue of trying to quickly get needed equipment and try to get home to get to work.Joshua got the employee (who was right down the aisle and had been ignoring me the entire time) to get the saws and meet us at his register. While that was done the rest of us scattered and gathered the rest of the needed items. Within 15 minutes we were checked out and on our way.Very special thanks to Joshua. This diamond saved us from the lackluster employees he is surrounded by. Thank you thank you thank you.I would have given this place 5 stars, but the only thing 5 star about it was Joshua.
They have the worst customer service. Staff members are rude. I asked for assistance and was left waiting for 30 minutes. While waiting another worker walked by and I mentioned what had happened and started to help asking what I needed. As I was explaining he just walked away. No manager or supervisor could be found for me to speak with. I will never return to this place. Worst Home Depot!!!! I may go back just to get the names of these employees. This place deserves 0 stars but 1 is the minimum one can rate.
My mom and I needed tons of help in the garden department for a project we were working on. Nadine went above and and beyond to help us out. She educated us and made suggestions on the items we needed to complete our project. I’mGrateful for this type of customer service!
For a Depot its pretty busy, but not too busy as to bother you. A word of warning though when its a paint question, go to a library and ask a book. All the clerk knows is what is on the screen. Do not ask if you can add tint to Kiltz, T hey will run all over the store, come back and say They do not know. It is fun to ask silly paint questions and wind them up an send them off.
Excellent experience! I was looking for some wooden boards to act as the foundation for my queen size bed frame and Osen was extremely helpful. Osen was able to help advise me on the best type of wood to use and also helped cut it to exactly the right length and width in the store free of charge. Additionally, he went out of his way to hand-cut out 1 inch squares from the corners so it would fit snugly in my bed frame. Very impressed by this Home Depot location and very thankful for all of Osens help!
Hopefully they were just busy, but I had to ask 3 associates to help me locate an item. Each of them gave me the run-around to check different aisles. The last associate was nice and helped me look for it, but in the end, he couldnt find it either although online said there was 7 in stock.
I had a great experience at the home depot at hwy 59 and 610 loop. The lady that makes the keys was very helpful. She went above and beyond to help me and others. It was nice to see a person with a good attitude willing to help someone for change. Also the people behind the customer service were great. Thanks for a great experience. I would recommend this store to friends and family. Two thumbs up!!
Love coming to Home Depot. Using the app keeps me from spending too much money. I can look up what I need and walk straight to it using the map in the app. Friendly, helpful employees, I happened to ask a young lady for assistance and she helped me make keys, found some small bolts I just couldnt find, even with my map, and then called another to help with my third problem which was some type of switch that I had a picture of, didnt know what to call it so I couldnt look it up.
Inventory here is great compared to other area Home Depot stores. Customer service is deplorable. Had an internet order ready, drove up and waited over an hour in the customer service line with many others. 8 employees hanging out at the customer service desk doing absolutely nothing other than goofing off. 1 service desk open. Eventually had to leave and go back home. Id moved 3 places in line... From 12th to 9th.
Jake was phenomenal. I have a finger splint that isnt doing its full job. So I went to home Depot to find the materials and build a custom one instead. I asked 1-2 reps but no help. Then Jake found me looking confused. And thats where our journey began.I explained to him the situation and off the bat he gave alternative simpler suggestions. Then we walked around and literally looked at every alternative he could think of. Im glad we did because if my initial plan fails, Ill be back to get the simpler supplies. Anyways, we went around and found all the supplies I need for my custom splint and throughout this journey, Jake was super enthusiastic the whole time and never a dull moment. And now my project begins. Thanks to Jake! Give this man a promotion!
Most of the employees have their mask pulled under their nose or chin and they allow customers to walk around without face masks as well. A woman entered the store in front of me with zero mask on and the employee greeting people didn’t say a thing to her! Honestly disappointing and I for sure won’t be shopping here anymore.
The store is fine. The staff are super helpful when I am by myself- but not when I with a man, which is just super sexist. It is actually so annoying to go into the store by myself because of how many store people try to help me. I usually pretend to be on the phone so no one bothers me.
My kitchen sink pipe recently busted and my mom and I made a quick trip to Home Depot. We made it in a few min before the store closes. It was understandable that the service we received was not great (because of the time). But unfortunately the part we were suggested did not work. The nest day around noon I went back on my own to exchange the parts and to see if we needed an adapter. The gentleman who helping in the plumbing section was helping someone while I patiently waited for my chance to ask for help. Not sure if its because Im young or a woman but I was completely overlooked at first. Until another customer asked him to please help me (because I was waiting) and that he would follow.I told him my story about purchasing a part that was too small and he kept cutting me off not letting me explain. This time I brought the broken part with me and tried showing him but he kept ignoring me. Never bothering to look at the part I was replacing. As soon as I mentioned adapter he handed me an adapter that again was too small. I asked him several time is he was sure this was the correct size and he brushed me off several time to go help a men.Im going back to a 3rd time with my mom to return and exchange the part. Only because I have to otherwise I would be going to another store even if the drive is a bit longer.Again, Im very disappointed. I come to this Home Depot all the time and Ive never been treated this way. Again not sure if its them taking favorites over man or because I look young.
If I could give this place a rating of “0” stars, I would. My husband and I had the wors customer service experience ever at this location. The staff members have no clue on what they are doing and the worst part, store managers, specifically Cordell and Frank are the rudest people we have ever met. Our tile ordered was placed incorrectly in the system, two weeks went by and we were never notified until my husband called, was on hold for an hour, and was told that the order didn’t go through because the store made an error. No one notified us! We lost time and money. The order was placed again, another two weeks passed, never got a call from the store to give us updates on the order. Our calls were transferred from person to person to person because NOBODY knew what was going on. We were so tired of wasting time and getting no where, asked to speak with managers and they were all rude, giving us attitude as if we were the ones at fault for not doing the job right in the first place. I called corporate, out in a complaint and cancelled the entire order, which was over five thousand dollars worth. NEVER giving our business to Home Depot, especially THIS store. If you’re planning on buying tile for your home, DO NOT DO IT HERE. AVOID THE HEADACHE.
This has got to be the worst home depot Ive ever visited! As I am still in the store waiting on isle 2 (which is ghost town) for a fan I need down from the top, no one is in site! Ive asked several associates for assistance and was given attitude, I dont even know where she dissapeared to at this point. I guess shes scared of heights because the fan is on the top shelf. If I didnt waste my entire lunch break here I would leave and go to a different store. On top of that, I hear an associate complaining about how they let $ walk out of the door everyday because of the lack of customer service! Just sad at this point. Too bad I couldnt give zero stars
Typically I have little with large companies like this, I rather shop local for the personalised service.Today however we went to buy some stuff for our lawn, and I got some help from Joey. This guy was excellent. He took his time to understand my problem and walked with me to get the right products with some personalised advice on how and when to apply them.He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. This is the type of people that make a difference for a business, and I hope Home Depot recognizes it and gives him the recognition he deserves.Joey, you did an outstanding job!
I came here to buy the same comfortable 3M safety glasses that I bought a few months ago probably back in February 2018. A very kind lady that works near that department saw that I couldnt find the exact one, they may not carry it anymore, so she mentioned there are some discounted open box old ones nearby. She brought them for me to try and said she would give me a great discount. Although the glasses didnt fit me properly, she still gets a 5 star rating from me for being so helpful. She helped me pick out a new pair and offered to open them and let me try them on before purchasing.
Good place to get materials and tools for home improvement/repair projects but if you have questions and need an employee, good luck. Had to make 2 trips for a new fill valve for my toilet because they changed their hours. Now they close at 9pm on weekdays instead of at 10pm.
Return line was ridiculous. You see so many workers hovering around doing nothing but only one lane opened for Returns. I’m trying to support local business vs Amazon.but this is not worth paying more money & wasting time in line. In addition, with the current COVID situation, it is not safe to force customers to linger around. For the most part, it was not possible to keep a safe distance.
I wish there is ZERO star. This place is the worst experienced I ever had. I ordered materials online a day before. The next few hours, I received email said its ready for me to come and pick up the materials. So I come the very next day. I was told that my materials was not ready for pick up. I demand them to get my materials ready, so I had to wait for a while to have them load up on my truck. After seeing the bad reviews, this place need to be shut down, or replacing better supervisor staffs or even bigger bosses. Will never come again. Message for customers... If you need something, go to LOWES nearby.
Workers were more worried about talking to each other than addressing the customer. I was being checked out and had to wait for the cashier to talk to her friend when the PO screen came up. I thennasked a question which she completely ignored. After the transaction was finished she never even looked at me even to offer a bag and I walked out with no acknowledgement. Frustrating experience with selfish employees.
This is the most convenient location of Home Depot for me. They usually have what I need in stock which is handy and their prices are very competitive from my experience (cheaper than Lowes on most things). The staff, for the most part, have been friendly. They arent necessarily greeting you at the door with a smile (not usually at least), but there is usually someone close and if you ask for help they are happy to do so and are for the most part knowledgeable. The young man that helped me the other day at the paint counter, Luis, was very helpful and friendly. He matched my paint sample quickly and it was a perfect match with what I had in my house already. Id give 4.5 stars if I could.
The staff were not very helpful. I was waiting in Doors & Windows and had to hunt for employees to ask for help. A few of them looked at me like they had no idea what to do. I asked another employee and she told me to ask the manager somewhere up front. I luckily found him, but he needs to do something else first apparently. All in all I waited 40 minutes for someone to finally provide any assistance. Even if it was just to ask if a particular door would be appropriate for the door frame measurements I took.I understand if youre busy, but acknowledging your customers and not ignoring them is important to customer relations. They are fortunate Im a very patient individual and still gave them my business
My favorite store, but keep in mind, trying to find someone to help you can end up being a job with in its self, its best if you go in on auto-pilot, if you shop there alot like I do, take the time to learn the store, youll spend alot less time running in circles trying to find what you need, or someone to help you.. happy shopping.
Teach your online pick up team how to speak to customers. Your people CALLED ME, I did not call them yet immediately talked down to as soon as I answer.Have spent a few thousand here in the last month on a bathroom remodel but will be purchasing the remaining items for this and my kitchen remodel from Lowes. In this day and age with so much competition be it brick and mortar or online your employees attitude reflects on your company as a whole.Horrible experience.
Exceptional service. We made a online purchase of a microwave, but we received it and it was defected. We went through the manufacturer and we tried to go through home depot customer service but they were not able to help us because they kept pointing fingers at one another. So we were finally able to get to a customer service rep to help us, she said our best bet was to return it at the store. She called our closest home depot and we got on the phone with the manger on site named Fred. He was SO nice and said to come on over and he would assist us. So i went over and the lady and manager on site were so helpful and even contacted customer service on their end to resolve our issue with returning the microwave. I can truly say that home depot did a great job at taking care of us through our difficult transaction.
Couldnt get anyone to help. When i finally did, they called someone that could help me to meet on aisle 12. I waited and waited and waited no one ever showed. What happened to their customer service? they used to be very helpful. Now it was like pulling teeth trying to find anyone that could help me. I had to wave them down and then they wouldnt know the answer to my question. Which is fine but the struggle was real. Point is that nobody ever actually answered my question.
DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY OFFER ZERO ASSISTANCE WITH ANY ISSUES AND ARE BEYOND DISRESPECTFUL. I bought my Samsung refrigerator, washer and dryer brand new from this Home Depot a little over a year ago. They offered an extended warranty which I bought as well. Long story short I have been in between the repair company, warranty company and Home Depot for 3 months now and STILL DONT HAVE A WORKING WASHER!!! I have spent hundreds of dollars on dry cleaning and no one is offering ANY assistance. I asked to speak with a manager and Kim told me no manager was available as it was Memorial Day and took my number/ made a note so the manager could call me back... Cut to today (2 weeks later) with NO response and NO working washer... I called Home Depot again and Kim is now calling me a liar saying she would NEVER tell someone that no manager was available. I have NEVER been so disrespected and frustrated in my life. I have spent enough money in laundering my family’s clothes during this 3 months to pay for a new washer and no one will help me with this issue. I am utterly disgusted with the customer service and WILL NEVER BUY from this trash store again. THEY NEED TO SEND THEIR EMPLOYEES TO SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE CLASSES BECAUSE IF I EVER SPOKE TO OR TREATED ANYONE THE WAY I WAS TREATED I WOULD BE JOBLESS. PERIOD. Go to Lowe’s or Craigslist before going to this terrible establishment. You’re guaranteed to be treated better.
This store has improved recently it would seem. This is a high volume store, and youll find plenty of contractors roaming the store during weekdays. I usually order online for store pickup here, and they have the order pulled in an hour or so on nights and weekends. I cant attest to their weekday speed -- Im not a general contractor, so I only use any Home Depot professionally a few times a month for odds and ends. I use this store for my household needs. Less annoying than the Lowes just south on the Loop.I will say that I absolutely will not drive my personal car to this store. As I mentioned, a lot of contractors go through this store everyday. Ive gotten no less than two flats on my personal vehicle after trips to this store. Thats not really the stores fault as it is my fellow tradesmen who dont keep their trucks and vans clean and end up dropping screws and nails in the parking lot when they open their doors.
Dont do online order pick up. I thought I would save time by ordering online and picking up Im store but getting here I stood waiting for my order for an associate to help me. I could have easily went to the isle and picked up the item myself in at least a fifth of the time it took before anyone got around to helping me. Sorely disappointed and will likely just order delivery from another online retailer or if I have to just come to the store and pick it up myself...
Just wanted to thank Veronica (in hardware section I believe) and give her a shout out. She went out of her way and took the time to help me find some moving straps. I know this location can be crazy busy at times and the employees have a lot on their plate, so I appreciate her tenacity and enthusiasm. Thanks Veronica, great customer service. Will continue to come back.
I have been to this Home Depot many times because its the closest to me. Every time I have been the employees are extremely rude, particularly the guy who cuts the wood. One guy, he had no teeth, but was extremely nice and helpful is the only redeeming employee there. Dont bother coming here. Take the time and drive to the one on I-10.
My favorite shopping place, but lately Ive noticed prices are a little higher than usual and some items you see online are not available at the store. Over all a great store that might be going through changes but with HarborFreight just 10 minutes away I have found myself skipping shopping here and visiting there a lot more often. Still my favorite place for now.
If possible I would have left Zero stars for their rating. The only reason why our visit went from “Hey let’s paint our place today” to “Nope, can’t even get the things we need” was due to Mr. H in the paint department. We went in to look at a few colors and had finally agreed on three of the colors/finish. But Mr. H kept on trying to push a slightly higher priced paint unto us even though our mind was set.I am a customer who has experience with paint. If I don’t ask for help or advice don’t go telling me that what I’m asking for is going to be a bad choice. Just make the sale, mix the paint that we ask for, and say goodbye.Lost a sale and a customer.
Customer service sucked today and a few other times before. Not just a white or black thing but straight up customer service satisfaction and support. I waited in line until a register became available and proceeded to scan my items. Commerical account /needed tax exempt access so I turned around and looked for a cashier/store associate. The white Male was speaking with a customer so I waited until he was done. I said excuse me Sir I need to be tax exempt. He looks at me and then walks toward the lady who was behind me in line and she proceeds to ask him a question .... I waited, I DID NOT GO OFF! I took myitems and went to walk towards customer service and things only got better. The cashier runs behind me in the store telling maam, maam hellloooooooo I know you hear me calling you. Im not going to say it again. Why Lord... I DID NOT GO OFF! I looked back and said you need to stop following me in this store .twice I reminded him that he didnt want to help me. So I went to customer service and waited in line. An Asian woman approached me and asked me could she speak to a manager and I said maam I dont work here and Im waiting in line to speak to someone as well. So 4 store associates are there (2 assisting 1 customer and the other 2 just there)but they all made eye contact with me so I know they saw me standing there.so the Asian woman approached the other 2 and immediately got assistance again I DID NOT GO OFF! I take my items to a register and this nice lady named Ramona at 0566 00003 was so polite and did a very great job. 🤝 they need to hire 50 Ramonas or something because I should not have to go through that.
No on has any idea there. Very difficult to even to find someone let alone to have them tell you they dont know , and ask another department... Slow and painful. Two people told me something was out of stock, then I found it 20 minutes later after persistently looking. Rude and lazy employees
I picked coming to this Home Depot because it was right next to the dog park and I would be in the area, we walked in like usual but were told no dogs allowed, because the manager got scared of a dog. Which sucks for him but I have been told it is corporate policy that they allow dogs. I know it seems lame not to go back because they dont allow dogs but, I plan my errands around getting my dog some time to play and if they are just going to change policies based on personal experience I would rather go to another Home Depot. Too bad for them though, I have a lot of projects and would have gladly shopped there.
Probably one of the worst Home Depot stores that I visit. I work all over the city and need to pick up supplies two to three times a week. This particular store is always dirty, aisles are crowded with pallets of unpacked merchandise, and no one seems to give a flip that the shelves are stocked with merchandise.
Ive shopped in hundreds of home depots all across the country and by far the customer service in this location is the most pathetic Ive never had to ask more than five employees even having to call the store to speak to a manager to get assistance with a item on the top racks. Even after seeking out these individuals no one assisted finally two employees stopped in front of me to shoot the breeze and when I asked them for help i was met with disdain as if working was the fastest from there list of tasks for the day. There are no less than 15 employees in the vicinity and zero have offered or even given assistance once it was requested. The management staff of this location should be appalled and ashamed for the state of affairs. When I asked the cashier the location of top soil his rotor was I dont know im just a cashier youll have to find some one else if only there was a Lowes close by. If Home Depot continues to accept and promote these deficiencies in service the hard ware retailer can begin to parallel itself to the likes of K-Mart.
We placed an $8,000 order to build a kitchen island and had to constantly follow up with store employees for two months. The common saying is someone will call you with an update but no one ever does even when we called corporate to complain. Finally, our order was delivered with pieces broken and when we notified Anita, she said she would call us with an ETA for a replacement part. No call, yet again. If you purchase tile, counter, or cabinets from this Home Depot, you will have to call all the time for updates and your order will still be wrong. Save your money and avoid frustration by going somewhere else.P.S. our island is still incomplete and we cant get a manager to call us much less get a refund.
The appliance delivery/installation service is worse than useless. Bought a dishwasher; they dropped it off, said they couldnt install and would be back with a plumber after the weekend. Monday came, they didnt show and it turned out that I needed to supply a plumber. Inconsiderate and unhelpful throughout the whole process. I will never buy from HD ever again.
Do not buy appliances from this store. They do not care to help you. We had a fridge delivered on a Thursday and later that night we found out that it wasn’t working properly. We went in the next day to request a return and were told tough luck. TOUGH LUCK. We spoke to someone else and they decided to help and scheduled for the fridge to be picked back up next week as that was as early as it could be done. I then asked if I would get a refund and in the simplest way was told maybe. That I would have to go into the store a few days after pickup to see if they COULD REFUND ME. No one at this place knows what they are doing. Do not go here. DO NOT GO HERE.

2022-03-24Be very careful when you rent here. Make sure you read the receipt. “Damage protection” is automatically added. Thoroughly inspect the equipment before you leave because the clock starts when you get the paperwork. I paid extra time because I had to take the stump grinder back due to worn out blades. The person at the rental place was bragging about how easy it was to change out. If it was easy then there’s no reason why they don’t make inspecting and changing out the blade standard practice, especially since they sneak in added fees. A business has to make an extraordinary effort for me to give one star. These people have earned it. I would give 0 star if I could. Forget about trying to speak to the manager. She’s busy… Go elsewhere!😬!

2022-02-13Coming to this location for 10 years, always have what I need. Recently rented some big tools that I had never used before and checked the rental section. As usual, they had what I needed but also some expert advice to go with it. Eddie in Tool Rental is fantastic; friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable about everything they have to rent. He has extensive experience with the tools I used and made sure that I knew how to operate them and was comfortable with using them. More than that, Eddie had some great tips for my rentals that probably saved me a lot of time when on the job. This is definitely my go-to tool rental stop, great service!

2022-06-05I do declare this city can never have enough Home Depot’s because every location I’ve visited this far has been equally buzzing with busy employees and shoppers in this store. Whatever your home improvement project is I can Almost guarantee they will have what you need or send you to one of their partners like us who can get your projects completed wonderfully.

2022-04-18Customer service here is trash. While waiting in line I already knew the employee that I didnt want because of her attitude and demand demeanor. Of course they was the employee ready to assist me. Im a property manager and shop at Home Depot all the time. This was my first time to this location because it was on my way home. I had several receipts from previous purchases (granted I couldve taken the time to sort and find the correct one before getting to the store) with my product that I wanted to return. She had an attitude and told me she wasnt going through all that. Long story story I sought help from get assistant manager who was no help, couldnt help, and offered no solution. Emphasis on not offering a solution because I asked multiple times to suggest a next step for me to get a resolution. He wasnt willing. This is some of the worse customer service Ive ever experienced at a Home Depot. The other customers around me were shocked. Still shopping with HD just never this location again.

2022-04-15Great selection of gardening supplies, plants, and planter boxes at an affordable rate. However, some of the younger staff were unable to help us locate what we were looking for. Showed them a picture of the website saying it was in stock and they claimed the store didn’t have it.

2022-05-10I came to pick up a curbside order and they took awhile to come out… then the lady with a curly Afro and top lip piercing told me… “Just So You Know We Don’t Do Curbside until 9 or 10, if not you have to come in”

2022-02-05The Home Depot was fine. I got the equipment I needed. The prices were OK as was the parking. The self-checkout was quick and easy. The place was cold because of the extreme weather outside. No real problems.

2022-04-10Awful place. Employees are rude to the extreme. I called them today to learn about the fluorescent tube disposal options in the store. I just called because Google suggested them. After 5 minutes waiting the get on hold with someone, one entitled employee in the appliances department started yelling at me because they dont do that there, and she told me to get your phone and Google it. Of course, I wouldnt have called them and waited that long if I havent actually used Home Depot to dispose exactly the same fluorescent tube. But that was California. Haha, Texas has a lot to learn from other states, and includes good manners on the phone.

2022-05-01It seems as though every employee needs to take a course on both what items that they carry are and where they are located in the store. I mean items that I thought everyone knew like say....a road flare. Nobody had a clue about what a road flare was. BUT I FOUND A HIDDEN JEWEL, A CASHIER IN FRONT OF THE LUMBER DEPT. RICHARD! SUCH A WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL HUMAN(WHICH IS RARE NOWADAYS SADLY). I PLAN ON BEING A REGULAR. I ENJOYED MY TIME (EXCEPT FOR THE PRICE AT THE END. LOL)
