The Home Depot in other cities:
I stood in line then got called over to a register. On my way there, two cashiers started yelling at me for cutting the line, including the one that just called me over. I pointed out that Id been in line, and that the people that had been in front of me were currently being rung up. My cashier apologized to me, then a third cashier started yelling at me for cutting the line. At this point, my cashier started addressing me as boss and told me that I had to go to the back of the line and wait like everyone else. I set my items down and left the store. Ive never been treated so rudely as a customer and will never shop at this store again.
Saw this review below and she took the words right out of my mouth:This store might be the worst store in Texas. It is impossible to get help. They either never have cashiers or they all have attitudes. The management does not care. Lines are always long. There are never people around to help in any department. And If you want to bring anything to the attention of the right people, they will argue with you in the store them brush you off as if they dont want your business. I recommend shopping elsewhere. The employees are extremely rude. I placed an order totally over 3 grand on March 3rd for delivery March 25th. (allowing plenty of time for them to get it together and coordinate) They missed items in the delivery and I ended up having to go to another store and buy the items because I got fed up after arguing with the employees on the phone and in person for almost 3 hours. Absolutely ridiculous.
Terrible store, Carolina the employee waisted 3 hours of my time for simple wrong transaction. Not recommend at all. Worst store in all Texas, Store manager name is Jeffery Alvarenga and never helped, these people treated like I never come to Home Depot any more, there are a lot better tool stores out there.
I collect houseplants and security hovered around me the entire time I was in the garden department as I innocuously checked out their selection. This was the second occurrence. I approached him politely because it was obvious that I was being watched and its uncomfortable having someone tag along so closely. He joked that I had been there for 3 years almost apologetically. It was 25 minutes (according to the receipt I had from the Lowes purchase that I had just made prior.) I didnt know Home Depot had a shopping time limit. He was very nice and Im sure someone else sent him over, however, I dont shop in places where Im not treated with dignity. I have never had this problem with Lowes.
This place is incredibly disorganized. If you use the Home Depot app to find thing, nothing is actually in the right place. When you ask for help from an employee, they can’t find anything either. Save yourself time and the headache by going to a different Home Depot.
By far the worst Home Depot Ive ever shopped at. Needed to get some paint samples and no one was at the desk. The Waited 30 minutes and they called THREE TIMES for someone to come and no one did. It cant be possible that theres only 1 person in the entire store that knows how to use the paint machines. RIDICULOUS.
I like this Home Depot located on the Gulf Freeway. Merchandise presentation is good with few out of stocks. They have a good selection of power tools and equipment. As a home do-it-yourselfer, I like their line of Behr Paints. The garden center has a nice selection of plants for landscaping.Store associates are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Parking lot super crowded this is a very busy store. Seems like they need more staff in appliances. I went to buy a dishwasher and when asked Debra if they had one in stock she told me, can I finish? I thought, how rude! But there were plenty of cashiers in front so overall it was Ok.
This rating mostly goes for the delivery service and handling the package. I order a Samsung. I had look for it at Best Buy but there were out of stock. Good thing Home Depot had them in stock and delivery was much more convient to be delivered sooner than many other appliances places. Please Like, Share and Follow. I know other Samsung refridgerators with the outside door ice/water dispenser have been repoerted with many manufactor issue with that but this doesnt have it. It only makes ice cubes but underneath in the fridge is where its process and its been over a 2 months with nonissues. You can control it with your cell bluetooth (on/off) I recommend this refridgerator and it looks great too!!JaysTrueRatings
I would give it negative stars if I could. I placed an order this morning, when I went and picked it up they would not honor it. Whether it was a glitch or a spell or anything else they should honor for what I payed for, it was clear of what I had ordered and the amount I had ordered so I dont understand why they dont want to honor my order. The manager was so rude, such an inconvenience 😡 it is really obvious that I had order the 12 case, once I get there they said they dont sell it. It specifically said 12 CASE, they expected me to take single ones when I order a 12 case. I paid for a 12 case not a single one.
If you are checking out with an employee and you need your receipts emailed to you, tell them ahead of payment because they will automatically just give you a paper reciept and youll have to go down to customer service and wait in line for ANOTHER 10 minutes to fix it. The keypad gives you the option but they will hit the paper only button before you can press email reciept every time. Annoying and a waste of time.
I was so disappointed turn it on the counter at least 20 minutes waiting for a manager or supervisor to show up ridiculous such a big company with no organization I was so disappointed but the first person that helped us to find the stuff we need to find he was a very good help
The guys working on lumber department with manager to,,,women,,,,are poor of discipline I went to the store on February 8th of 2022 around 8:00pm they didnt want to bring me a palet of pickets that I want, The prices are really good the only thing I dont like it Is the thing that I mention....
My Aunt went to buy something she had seen online but when she came up to the front the manager refused to give her the veterans discount because “she has to register online” even though my Aunt has her credentials on hand!!! They disrespect veterans and don’t deserve anyones patronage!!!! Go to any other location because the manager here is ridiculous!!!!!
This location was very well stocked, especially their garden center. We found everything we needed. I am not sure if this was normally what happens, but checking out was confusing because there was only one line for both self-checkout and using a cashier to check out. I think there should be separate lines depending on a customers preference on how they would like to check out.
This store is small but closest to the campus. One ladys their always listening music when shes working and unhelpful, suggest me to buy something unnecessary, the other guy that works in that special spot ask me just put back cause I am not gonna use it. sometimes I cant find what I need inmediately. Their other staffs mostly welcom. A guy told me that hes feeling bad for assign him to work there cause its so messy for this location and peoples around 😑/They also missing thr sign of il 19& 20:some customer service are horible
Had to return an item that I didnt use, because I was doing a plumbing job at my house. Im no plumber so I purchased two packs, but didnt use both of them. When I was returning the item they had no problem accepting it, but I did have my receipt. SO MY MONEY WAS RETURNED NO PROBLEM.
Update: Yeah, I disagreed with the reviews of this location because I hadnt had a bad visit...until I did. I had a rather SIMPLE question. Noone could answer, so I waited 22 minutes for the woman who works that section. When I explained what I was trying to do, she said I dont do DIY so I dunno what to tell ya.Hmmm. I DO do DIY all the time. All I needed was a Smsimple answer to the friggin question. It was about SIZE/compatibility. Afterward, I went to Lowes. Not only did they have more of what I originally needed, the manager of that section spent the last 20 minutes before closing teaching me a better approach and showing me other tools to but.---------I couldnt disagree more with some rather RUDE previous reviewers. There was plenty of staff on duty when we went and it was after 8pm.The young man that helped us was prompt, friendly, and funny. We got exactly what we needed quickly.
Tape & lawn necessities. Good experience. Had just what I needed.Went to Home Depot about 3 weeks ago & bought their $1.98 poinsettias. What a bargain. 3 weeks later in my yard they are gorgeous. They love cold weather. Also bought bags of that cheap red mulch. They have Scotts. Out of Vigaro but will come in soon. $3 bucks. Unbeatable!!!!!!
👎 😡Do not rent from this location they will give you the equipment that doesn’t work and still try to charge you for it. Don’t waste your money here. I tried to return the equipment early but the location was closed. The person that took the equipment in the morning Bill said they were going to discount 35% in the manager Harley calls me and says they’re not able to do anything but charge me the full price, then I try to talk to the manager Harley to see if they could work with me and give me credit on the different piece of equipment that does work and he could not help me. I really thought these people were professional but they are amateurs and unqualified to be running this department the lady that did my contract for the rental equipment on the phone list was not even qualified to be in that department and didn’t even know what a boom lift was, did not know how to work it either. Terrible service, bad customer service.(Español) No 👎 rentes en este Home Depot no sirven las makinas no les des tu dinero.
I came for what I least expected but someone by the name of Marko Rodriguez helped me from the moment I walked inside to the moment I left and he also loaded up all my merchandise and tied it down. I would of never received this help near my local Home Depot in Pearland.
We usually find most of what we need at this location. However they have a habit of not restocking items for long periods of time with no alternative option available. It can also be a challenge to get help on the floor whether its a busy Sunday or quiet Tuesday morning. I dont know why but we usually have to hunt an associate down.
During the winter storm of February 2021 we received the help of Irma Avena & Mike (Night Ops.) as well as some of the other staff members.Irma & Mike went over and beyond the call of duty to help us that evening. They realized that some generators were being unjustly held and stayed late to release them so that my Husband and I would be able to purchase them for our family and another. It felt like life or death for us and the other family who had just brought home a new born baby, not to mention that, that night was supposed to be the coldest thus far and none of us had power.Irma mentioned that she lived in the woodlands... she looked me in my eyes and said that she would stay and help sort all of this out. Even though word had traveled that some of the streets were starting to freeze over. Even now as I tell this story I’m filled with gratitude to Jesus Christ for allowing 2 generators to be available when there was none in the city of Houston and for Irma and Mike (and the others) for courageously staying to assist us. May Christ bless and keep them and their families. Also to anyone we needs a reminder or doesn’t know Christ is the answer to all of your needs and He always, always provides. If you don’t know Him as your Lord and savior, acknowledge that you are a sinner literally just say “I am sinner, in need of a savior, Jesus Christ I believe that you are the Son of the one true Living God and I want you to be the Lord of my Life, come into my heart and fill me with your Holy Spirit, in Jesus name Amen.”I didn’t plan for it to be all of this but, well, obedience is key. God bless.
I placed an online order at the Home Depot on Gulfgate. My order was ready fairly quickly so I opted to pickup my order via curbside. I arrived at the store and noticed a few cars parking at the curbside parking and getting off in person even though the parking was supposed to be only for curbside. When I was able to get a parking spot I indicated on the app that I was there. I waited for about twenty minutes and I still didnt see an associate coming. I decided to get off and see what happened. I went to the front counter and told one of the associates that I chose curbside and waited for twenty minutes and no one came. The associate told me that they didnt have anyone working curbside today. I was very annoyed about that. If the app indicated that they didnt have curbside available today, they should have notified me or not had the option available. I have used curbside many times at other stores and the my order is always out within five minutes or less. This was a very irritating experience.
Bought carpet in early Sept . Said will sent a person to measure room and following week lay carpet . The measured. Measure room wrong ,too short . Took several weeks to remeasured. Been two weeks still no call no show . Manager refuses to talk to anyone have to deal with service rep and she dont care . Wont call back , wont do follow thru to solve problem . Highly suggest do not buy flooring at this location at Gulf gate mall. Its a joke , no one running store cannot get help on a problem . Manager refuses to answer calls .
I needed a tarp to cover my windshield. And found it right away. I used the tarp to cover the front windshield So l do not have snow on the windshield. Works every time. I encountered a long line. Understandable because of the freezing cold weather. That we are experiencing for the next few days. I always have a great visit, when I go to Hone Depot
Ive been sitting here waiting at the key copy station for about 15-20 mins now. Multiple people have called to help me out but no one has shown up yet and its highly irritating especially when I keep seeing lots of workers walk past me with helping. This is ridiculous.
Tried to buy granite counter tops today. I had to go to the store twice because the guy working the counter apparently left for lunch but was gone for over 30 minutes? I only found this out after I waited to speak to a woman, who then called for someone to help me,. After I had waited 20 minutes without anyone coming, I then was told he was at lunch. I came back later, and the man working the counter was the worst person I have ever met.He glossed over every question I had, and just kept saying you make the payment now and we figure it out later. No, thats not how it works when Im spending $3k on granite. I want to know estimatesIm not spending $3k on the granite alone to then get a surprise of $9 up to $20 a sq foot for demolition of the current countertops. The guy also smelled so bad even through a mask that I couldnt stand to be near him.
Yesterday , I spit one my paint sample and Leo refused to give me customized paint . I even offered to clean the sample using cleaners. But their employees have masks under nose , double standards! Solution is simple. We need machines to be able to make paint by ourselves. We already have self checkout and self copy keys. Homedepot doesn’t need to pay that many employees and lower Homedepot price after saving labor costs.
Payment procedures are a headache especially when lack of general communication isnt a part of training. I was really surprised how Home Depot employees handled my transaction. As well as smart remarks that were completely unnecessary. As a paying customer, you would expect not to be treated with sarcasm and self-absorbed jokes. I expected different customer service, I expected a little dignity. (Rated C-) ....
Just had the worst experience at The Home Depot off Gulf Freeway on May 20th, 2021 around 745pm. I went to the paint department to get a color match. They only had one young Hispanic male working in that department. I waited for at least 15-20 minutes and was never addressed or asked if I needed help or to at least let me know he was busy and would be right with me. At the same time, people walked up directly to him, while I was waitimg at the counter and began asking him questions. They had not been waiting and he talked to them to address their concerns but not mine. The Home Depot needs more workers in the Paint area and need to also train their workers on providing better customer service. They did not get my business or money today for this reason.
Man my feet was hurting. This place is huge, and it was the biggest Home Depo Ive ever seen im only 13, but hey. Any way this place is great if you wanted to change some things in your home and it was a great service. The cashier was rlly nice. I never rlly liked hardwear stores but this one is it.
Ridiculously long lines for check out, seems typical of this store. They really need more cashiers to get contractors back on the job. Parking lot filled with people trying to hustle up day work. I hate having to go to this location. I will do whatever I can in the future to avoid this particular Home Depot!!
If I could rate today’s visit 0 stars I would. The customer service is absolutely dreadful!!! I was at the customer service desk and I was trying to purchase something and return an item but I ended up waiting for over 10 minutes but the young lady working (Martha) simply ignored me. She and another employee started chatting and I was so annoyed, I left without the items I needed.
Absolutely terribly customer service! Staff members unwilling to help customers who are here to spend thousands on there product! Too busy on there phones looking at social media. It’s like I’m forcing the staff to work for the dollar that they are paid for. After speaking with a manager he seemed uninterested and didn’t care either. Home Depot do better. Hire people that actually want to work.
I went today to get some keys made and Alicia, a cashier, went above and beyond. She was checking customers out and made an announcement for assistance in the key/locksmith department. Since no one showed up she juggled making my keys while going back and forth to check out additional customers until the check out line slowed down. I have often found some workers unwilling to help but Alicia was super friendly and very helpful- she could have easily just stayed at her station and let me wait a very long time for someone to respond but she found a way to handle both tasks and with a great attitude. You need more ALICIA’s working there! FYI- you need VISIBLE signage so people know there’s only ONE line for all of the cashiers. People were constantly pulling up with their carts to pay and had to be CONSTANTLY redirected to the one line for all customers to stand in and wait to be called. Once again, great job Alicia!!
I was told that they make keys or copies of keys for vehicles I asked for help no one seems to have a clue . So the person helping me out asked one of her coworkers he has no clue . So he decides to call manager to assist me . Manager is no where to be found or decides he or she does not want to assist me so tells employee to tell me machine for keys is not working ,Horrible service . Employee tells me manager said machine is not working funny thing is there’s someone operating the machine helping other customers make their keys .
FIRE HAZARD!!!! Bought a stove in February that almost burnt my house down. Caught a Pyrex dish of tuna casserole on fire and cracked the glass even though it was set to 200 degrees. Home depot doesnt care, told me they would send someone to fix it. I asked if they would trust the oven in their house. That mumbled on about policy but would not take the return. I dont trust them with the safety of my life.
Worst home depot in houston. The item I was looking for showed ten in stock when there were zero on the shelf. I asked for help from 3 different employees who didnt even act like they worked there and said they would try to find an associate, waited for 30 minutes with no help. The inventory is probably all wrong because of how much stuff is stolen off the shelves, probably half by the employees
Easy to notice from the street in normal traffic. Visible from Hwy 45 and feeder as well. Cash, credit and debit card accepted. Please have exact change for cash transactions. Wheelchair accessible parking lot, entrances and restrooms. Courteous staff. Vast array of quality items from gardening, plumbing, electrical, building and more. Plus an abundant supply of community laborers available for hire nearby.
Gulfgate store has Weak customer service.Poor curbside service. Ended up going inside to find my order then wait it for somebody to take it out nobody did so dont go if you are like me and cant pick up heavy stuff. I ended up paying one of the guys that hang out on the outside looking for work.
Thank you Dylan at the Gulfgate Home Depot! My husband needed help finding a part for his gas weed eater and Dylan was kind enough to help him. My husband speaks very little English and when he FaceTimed me to help him, Dylan was kind enough to speak to me also on FT!Good customer service is rare these days, but Dylan was a big help!
Increased my rating to 5 stars. Since COVID happened, Ive been in this store no less than 4 times a week for the last 7 months straight. If they have me a plack for customer of the year, Id petition for 6 stars. Lol. Overall much faster check outs than lowes (when i have to go to lowes) and generally have everything i need. Some of the staff are genuinely very sharp and know their stuff. Others are just young and lacking experience but are generally pretty helpful.
Dont come here customer service sucks, I use to work at a home depot in the area and so much has changed i came to this gulfgate one for electric material and nobody could help reach for something that was a little too high and asked about 10 employees and every one said they couldnt but will get someone if I could I would of grabbed the orange small ladder rolled it and gotten it myself
Avis in the flooring department went well above and beyond with my purchase of new flooring for my entire house. After postponing my order due to more then a few set backs on my side due to other contractors, Avis was right there making sure my floor install was scheduled correctly and kept on track. I will return for future purchases without thinking twice. Home Depot would be fun to shop at if every employee had a work ethic like Avis.
What is it with Home Depot? First why do I need to ask 4-5 employees where something is and then they cant tell you, and they dont make the effort to show you. Then when you find the wire theres 5 employees standing around the box baling machine and not one can come help with wire, infact one told me to wait a min, so I assumed he would be back, nope had to get someone to call someone
Good selection of tools...nice selection of products and goods...staff is friendly and professional...well, most of them. Home depot has a good selection of appliances as well...vacuum cleaners, Windows, filters . They really do have just about anything that you will need when building or repairing your home or any construction job. They are pretty busy on Sundays, busy any day, but mostly on Sunday.
In what should be the most wonderful time of the year (Christmas time), I dont quite understand how you run out of wrap for trees or the tree saw breaks and youre unable to get another saw or blade. This is a hardware store! Customers just take the wrap! Again, its Christmas Time, I dont understand how you run out of wrap!
Pre-ordered sheetrock & kitchen sink faucet which only took them 15-20 mins to pull the order & get it loaded onto the trailer. Guy working the forklift loaded the trailer slightly wrong which caused a little scraping the ground here and there along the way back to the job-site. But, other than that; no complaints at all. 👍
I shop at Home Dpot all the time in three different states. This Home Depot on the Gulf Freeway needs a tune-up. If you have no live check out people then make sure the scanner codes are on all items. If you have to ask an associate for a 98 cent item and the paint department make sure the associate doesnt have a 45 minute line to get to him.
The customer service offered by the manger at this home depot is by far the worst. I was told I had to order in store for all my products to be at one location. So I did. They said it would take a week to get them in and I waited a week. On the day of pickup the told me that it was not ready. They promised me that it would be ready next morning. The next morning it was not. I got the runaround from the customer service rep and then from the manger. I called corporate customer service and they cant do anything to help. I canceled my order and called Loews. They were more than happy to earn my business. Leaving now to pick up all my items at one location and same day. Ill be calling Loews moving forward for all my commercial and residential needs.
This place is always packed from open to close which I normally wouldnt mind but is typically disorganized anytime I need anything for the shop. Isles are always filled with pallets of stuff to be put on shelves and if you need help finding something good luck pretty much on your own. Although checkout can get really busy they do move pretty quick.
Lightly staffed as which is typical of home depot. Location was clean(ish) if you dont look in corners or behind displays. Store needed to be stocked. Could see stock in top of rack but couldnt find a staff member to pull it down. Ended up just get a ladder and doing it myself.Check-out was quick and cashier was friendly. Parking lot is adequate.
The best anything from here is the mower and if you go to get one make sure to bring help because no one there is going to be of assistance. I had to drag the mower all the way to check out , couldnt find a cart and the employee standing at the mowers had something better to do as soon as I asked him for help. I pray to God I never need anything from this awful place!!!
Horrible service. I place an order for Husky Garage Shelves and paid $79 for scheduled delivery on the home depot website. The website informed me that someone would call me within 48 hours to schedule delivery. 8 days later and over an hour and a half on the phone with customer service, I ended up cancelling my order because no one would help me. It took 6 calls to find someone who could cancel the order. I almost had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. DO NOT BUY HERE!!! THEY WILL LITERALLY TRY TO STEAL YOUR MONEY.
I bought a spot light but found out I didnt have a battery pack. So I was going to exchange it for a different one only to find out the others didnt have a battery pack either. So the sale lady gave me a discount on the one I bought in the beginning. I was very pleased to have save some money. Thank you Home Depot...
UPDATE: I had ANOTHER nightmarish experience with this home depot. I ordered an online set of saw zaw blades. I waited for weeks longer than the date, came in the store after they were said to arrive and dealt with four confused store employees, than when I received another email saying it arrived and I had 7 days to pick it up, in 3 days a received email telling me Thank You for your Recent pickup. This pickup NEVER HAPPENED. I am not sure yet if Home Depot has even refunded me for this order! This store and its management are AWFUL. I would give it a negative value if possible. The store employees are nice, but the management seemed to have lost my order. I had a 22 foot ladder ordered for pickup, which apparently walked out the door. My guess is that it was taken out of reserved and sold to an employee or customer (all the ladders use the same SKU number). I asked the manager to assign the order to another store (with the item in stock), but they refused. A previous online order was also stopped and refunded due to lack of inventory. Needless to say, I dont recommend this store. Pick another Home Depot for online orders.
Wasted my time for the second time, I have previously had good experiences, but its absurd that they cant keep a proper inventory on a headlamp (Milwaukee 2115-21). The fist time I came in was in December when the website said they had just gotten a shipping of 3 headlamps and the representative couldnt find it in the aisle where all the flashlight are located. The second time they had put on their website that they had the headlamp on aisle 10 bay 20, when I asked for help from the representative looked up the logs on the headlamp and showed me that they didnt have any since the last time they sold one in the first week of December.Ill continue to shop at The Home Depot, but from now on I will consider looking elsewhere whenever possible.
It was an in and out, rushed trip however, I was able to easily find the three items I needed. I do have a problem however, with customer service. Their employees, when around, are never eager to approach and assist or acknowledge anyone!! They will have a conversation among each other before assisting a customer. I have seen the employees literally hide or take cover to avoid assisting a customer!! They really should have a better training program!! Thanks.
Went to Home Depot to rental the snake machine to unclog my drain, the customer service representative was very helpful and knowledgeable, he dominated to me how the machine work and the 2 of them seemed to really enjoy talking to customers in a very helpful and professional manner, and also help me to load the machine in my vehicle.
One way in, one way out. I guess we will confuse the virus. Also, my day starts at 6 why are there only 2 guys in lumber and why are phone orders priority over me. I spend over 2000 a week at HD but some person phoning in an order for 5 pieces of wood gets all of the employees. You guys need to get your priorities strait. As soon as I can secure a better supplier Im done with you
Walked in no greeting as usual. Pulled 2-2x6x16 syp and pushed to the register. Paid, left and found that I couldnt carry them. Wheeled them back into the lumber end but they said they couldnt help me to go to customer service is. I went to customer service but they didnt have any cash in the drawer. After 15 minutes a head cashier showed up with the money. Not my favorite place any more but where else can one shop. No McCoys near by yet, hopefully one day.
Here at the store been waiting to speak to the manager have price on item wait over 20 min minutes and no one show up to help or even said anything cashier was really rude th only reason i give one star is because there’s no other option well i was waiting cashier making fun with her cowrker.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. The teenagers that are working there offer no help at all. They dont care!!!! I was told flat out - There is no one in to help you right now. She didnt even tell me , hey wait a few more minutes. Before I was told this, I waited for about 25 minutes, after asking 4 different workers to help. Finally, I went to the front register manager and she told me - no one was available to help me to purchase a refrigerator (mind you this was a big purchase). I told her we would take our business elsewhere. But please explain how there was nobody to help me in the whole store. ..continue this and you will lose more business. Treat people right, this home depot does not!!!! I complained to the manager over the phone and never will spend my money there again. Also, I understand that people take breaks but someone else should there be other people there to help....and why would the manager not help. This was unacceptable on so many levels.Update: One of the managers Irma - took care of my parents. She was extremely helpful when we visited the store the second time. She deserves to be recognized. Thank you Irma.
What? You dont need a review for Home Depot.Home Depot is like a toy store for a home owner. You can find anything you need to update your kitchen, bath, back yard, front yardAnd they sell the tools you need to get the job done. Now i have to drag my wife out the Home Depot. She love this store as well with all the free help classes.
Went to homedepot to purchase a ceiling fan, there were not a lot of options but I decided on one. When I scanned the box it rang up 10 dollars more than what was advertised. I spoke with the self check out associate and she adjusted the price. There was no wait time in the self checkout registers.
What can I say, typical big store lots of stuff good prices but unless your a contractor or very familiar with their type of product you wont find what you need or anyone to help you find it. When you do find done theyll just tell you Ill call someone (arent you someone)? I get that they may not be familiar with 100% if the products they sell but theyre more familiar than me. Last time I was there I asked 6 employees for help and all I got was Ill call someone. All said you get what you pay for, want better service go somewhere more extensive Lowes or Ace. Thats where the extra money we pay goes, better training and more staff.
I brought in my lawn mower for an exchange because it stopped working but lost my receipt so the lady at customer service told me I could return or exchange it, a young man named Tony from the tool rental department stop what he was doing to help us out with repairing my lawn mower. Ive been sitting here quite some time watching this young man put all his work and pride into fixing it. He has gone above and beyond to help me get it running. To be honest I was going to come on here to leave a bad review because I felt like nobody wanted to help me until this young man stepped in to help me. Good job Tony! Im very appreciative for your help.
Dont expect the staff to be courteous, polite, or even try to help in anyway whatsoever! They act as if youre doing them a favor by shopping there. You will have to find whatever you need on your own. If you do need help from the staff, expect to wait a very long time, they are in no rush at all to help you. Highly wont recommend this location, just go to a different store, its not worth it. Completely clueless to what services they offer in their store, and its extremely understaffed.
24th Sept 2020, update. Dropped from 3 to 2 stars. This location as far as shelf stock goes has gotten worse not better.*****Sad actually as the staff is very, very helpful.*****Shelf stock is very disorganized.1 in 5 items on shelf match displayed sticker below the items.Overall store is Cluttered.
Awful experience here, will never come back again and will urge all my friends to not come here. The lumber man took 20 minutes to help us after asking for him multiple times and then cut the wood too fast and messed up their cuts. We then had to wait 30 minutes to get help finding the bolts we needed, just to find out the store associate did not know how to help us. This was all on a slow Sunday evening, no excuses, awful service.
My experience today was terrible! They unfortunately dont respect their customers time! I felt like I was at Main Event instead of Home Depot. The teen employees werestanding around talking amongst themselves while ignoring all of the customers! When one customer complained to the cashier about how long he had been waiting...she got the nastiest attitude. If I werent in dire need of the tool I purchased, I wouldve left, because the person who was the M.O.D. was just as disgusting as the teens! Ill go elsewhere next time.
I entered the store roughly around 9:50. I told the cashier that I only needed to exchange one item (that was about 10ft away from her register). I then asked a male employee for a price check on the new item. He looked at his watch as if I was bothering him. 9:58 I get to the register for exchange. The cashier tells me she cant do an exchange and insists that I proceed to the end of the store (where no register lights are on). I walk back an ask her about it she then says, Oh theyre closed. So I then ask for someone who can assist me. Up walks a store manager (who offers no help what so ever). His response was, (looking at his watch) Maam we are already closed. The register is shut down. Bring that we were standing at a register that was very visibly open I asked if he could please perform the exchange that...he repeated the same thing again. These ppl are completely unprofessional. No one goes to Home Depot at 10 p.m. for a joy ride. My a/c went out. After bring in customer service for over 10 years...the employees and management need a lesson in customer service. I didnt know an hour ago my air would suddenly go out!If you can help it. Steer clear of this location. Dont be like me. I read the reviews and still gave it a shot. All of the bad stories are true! Im convinced!
Went to the customer service booth to ask a question. Four people behind the counter, only one with a customer. No one had a phone to their head, no one had ear buds in. Waited for someone to say Next!, acknowledge me with a smile or a Ill be right with you.. Made eye contact with all three of them, they all went back to playing on their computers. After close to 4 minutes of nothing, I walked away. Found a helpful employee near Paint that answered my questions. Customer service at this location needs to get their act together.. it only takes a handful of seconds to say Hello, Im looking something up for a contractor or whatever, Ill be right with you. Instead, it feels like they couldnt be bothered.
I went to Home Depot to buy electrical wire there was nobody standing around there I needed help I must have seemed like three or four employees from Home Depot desk walking around so I asked somebody one of them employees and one of them said the guy that runs the electricity back there you was at lunch so I waited for like 20 minutes the same guy that I asked told me that the guy was in lunch he decided can you help me so he gave me what I needed I want you to check out counter to pay out the guy in the back roads around numbers on the piece of paper for the wire I need it so I said finally Im out of here so I was leaving stepping out the door of Home Depot security stopped me and asked me for my receipt I gave it to him I acted wheres your badge to check my receipt
Im a contractor and visit home depot in the Houston area (and others) so often, sometimes 3 to 4 times a day and spend well. Sometimes I order materials by the pallets. I have found that some store are well organize and nice customer service, others they make faces... Specially in the returns desk.
This home depot is horrible and operate with no integrity!!!!!! bought a 80 gallon compressor 1 month ago and i got it at a fraction of the cost. I had a problem with the husky compressor so i took it in for an exchange they didnt want to honor the warranty because of the great purchase price i got it for. I ask for the manager first thing i get from the manager Theresa is attitude not a resolution. the second manager comes out Goldie another attitude no customer service skill. His words i cant exchange this compressor but i can refund you. My words was no i want an exchange. Goldie needs to be retrained on being a manager because he is taking away from home depot customer base. Lastly a manager that had some good customer service skills walked by and i approached him by the way his name is JD he got my issue resolved. honestly stay away from this place. these people have no customer service skills. Goldie and Teresa you guys were horrible and you really need to be retrained. thanks a lot JD.Part 2: I Just installed the new exchanged compressor and it dont work!!!!!!
Terrible customer service. 4 people told us we could use the 30 day price protection on some appliances we just bought, but the lady at the desk was rude. Told us they cant do that and didnt know why anyone would have told us that.Thankfully the supervisor corrected her.. we wont be going back to this location. Weve had far better customer service at other locations.
Bad shopping experience. Filled with young associates fooling around and very little attention on taking care of customers. No manager around so I could not let him know. When I finally got a chance to talk to an associate I asked him where in the store I could find an item I was looking for. The response was a diffinite I don t care attitude oh over there. Didn t take me and help me go to the item. He just walked off. Asked a second associate to help me and he also was unable. Will not go to that location again unless I really need to. Lowes is just around the corner
I havent shopped here in awhile, because theres never anyone to assist you or it takes them forever to come. So, today I decided to stop by to pick up some cinder blocks and it took 45 minutes or more for someone to assist me. The pallet was up and I needed someone to get it down. Never again will I come in this store! I should have went to Lowes like I started to. Should have followed my first mind!! Ive never waited this long for someone to assist me there!

2022-04-25I have always preferred Home Depot for the service compared to their competitors. And my last visit was no exception. Miguel one of the Leads at this location went so far above and beyond to help me out. With help this good I wont be going anywhere else. Thanks again!

2022-04-16I had a great experience today with Alicia in the paint department. She was very knowledgeable about her paints and products, she greeted me as soon as she saw me even though she was helping someone else. She did a color check for me and then as I asked for a quart size can of paint (because I thought that was the smallest you carried) she asked what I was painting? I proceeded to tell her it was spots the I would be covering up due to moving some pictures and a mirror, she said ok what about a sample size? That was perfect. You should have more people like Alicia working there. She is 5 stars ⭐️

2022-06-08Horrible customer service!!!!! When I walked in no one greeted but looked at me. Couldn’t find anyone that was interested in helping me find lumber or cut it. I had to force someone to help me and when I continue looking for my items still no one ask if I needed help. They were too busy playing on their phones, talking about nails, and about the next party. I know customer service is apart of their training but must be to a minimum or if your a man they will help you. Us, women are on our own and they will show you that as soon as you walk in the store.

2022-03-11This store might be the worst store in Texas.

2022-04-03Home Depot is abusing its monopoly. Only one cash register open where there are four. And they dont accept cash on most of registers. Most of staff is really helpful. It think its a corporate thing all the bad (and few) choices they made with their change in their system. I saw people angry, confused, some complaining. And this has been happening almost every store I have been.Unfortunately, most people just accept the bad service. Too bad theres no more alternatives.

2022-03-11This store is perfect for the do it yourselfers. They have a large selection of inventory for all your home projects. All the employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. Their prices are reasonable depending on what your needs are.

2022-04-21This store has the worst customer service experience. I been here for the past 15 years, theres never any sense of urgency proving help for customer. It seems to be a inconvenience for a employees to assist,or for that matter if you find one. The main issue is customer service over the phone.if youre lucky if they answer and when they you get transferred all around the store due no one knows anything.

2022-03-22This place is 50/50. Sometimes you get an employee that is more than helpful and points you in the right direction. Other times you get an employee that starts off with an attitude for interrupting the personal conversation they were having through an ear piece. That seems to be a common theme, at least with my experience at this location. Once at Home & Garden, where the employee was visibly on her phone, and once at an empty customer service register that had one employee, who was having the conversation through her AirPods or something similar. She must have been on break.
