The Home Depot in other cities:
Disappointing. We were approached by two employees at different times, who asked if we were happy with our bathroom and the other if we were okay with the air-conditioning. Not if we can help you find something or thanks for shopping with us. What staff we did see appeared unmotivated. When we needed assistance with some blinds, no one to be found. I had to go up front to ask for assistance. After waiting for bit, we left. To Lowes we went where we actually had a good experience.
I chose this Home Depot location as they had soil and granules I needed in stock (according to online inventory) versus closer locations. I was in the store for over 30mins as both items were hard to find. No one asked if I needed help and crossed paths with at least 8 workers. The soil was outside near register and granular nowhere to be found. I finally asked an employee for help locating granular as they had aisle 56 completely blocked off. He asked another employee and she simply stated granular would be in section behind them while opening gate for me to look again. I found tag for granular but no product. Bummed as location nearly 20mins away.
Hard to get help at this Home Depot in central expy in McKinney. The phone rings and rings when you call, no one answers. I came to buy a particular ladder. It took about 30 minutes to actually get someone to help me then another 30 minutes to get the ladder I wanted that was on the top of the highest rack wrapped up on a pallet. But very nice employees.
The two people in the pvc department were useless. The first associate asked if he could help me find something. I said I needed to fix my underground sprinkler pipe and he said Im not a plumber. Anything else I can help you with? I showed him a piece of pipe that I needed fitted and he didnt have any way of measuring it. This wasnt some kid; he was a grown man.I finally found the name of the item online (a slip fix) The second man said it was in inventory but couldnt find it on the shelf at which point I left.
Just wanted to say thank you once again to Mrs. Jessie in Customer Service. My fiance and I went yesterday to pick up an online order ( wb15722023) that had been ready for a while, and Jessie ended up having to run all over to find it all. So often these days people are just willing to give up or re order, but She put fourth the effort. Also want to thank Mrs. Katlyn as well. Good job ladies!
What a horrible store compared to the Allen location. Save some time and buy from Lowes, Ace or Amazon. There are no associates out on the floor. If you do manage to find one and ask a question about a project they will just read the packaging and guess if it fits your needs. I asked someone in the garden dept about a tool I needed for a project I needed and they looked around and said Theyre around here somewhere. That was all the info they could muster. I had to look myself and after about 10 min realized I was wasting my time and decided to buy from somewhere that values their customers.
Came in for an AC unit. Website showed this location having over 30 units in stock. Two staff members were unable to tell us exactly where they were. Once we located the correct area, there was 1 beat up box of the unit in question. Third staff member stated that he also showed over 30 in stock and that the others might be in top stock (out of reach out customers). He called for assistance and no one came. Wasted hour so Ill shop elsewhere.
According to their web site 15 of the item I needed was in stock at this location. Of course none could be found in store. According to one of the employees this is a common occurrence, the manager called it an opportunity for improvement, Im calling it for what it is: wasting my time needlessly by lying.
We were there over 1hour, seen at least 12 employees before any employee asked if we needed any help.Once someone finally addressed us, there was no one there to assist us in the departments we were needing. And then only had 1 cashier, and everything else was self checkout. We wont be backWe went to lowes, and had great customer service.
I really enjoy shopping at The Home Depot - favorite part is the variety of construction material. Weve purchased several large orders of flooring. You can pick it up later at your convenience - a nicely detailed invoice is provided.Plants in the landscape area are always well watered and cared.
I had a pleasant shopping experience today in The Home Depot at Cameron Crossing in McKinney. There was a nice selection of appliances for sale.An employee named Kierra came up to me and asked if I needed any help. She was very nice and answered all of my questions about the appliances that I was looking at.She was very helpful!Any other time, employees just walk past me without even greeting me and Ive been coming here for years.Home Depot needs more employees like Kierra so that customers have a better shopping experience and can post great reviews!
Parking is an issue to begin with - carts everywhere so parking can be a pain and you risk getting your car dinged.Store stocked well, many of the products I was looking at had their boxes in poor condition, looked like they had been thrown around before being displayed.Staff wasn’t as available as other home improvement stores in the area.
No lumber carts anywhere in the store none by the front door. You have to go get them from the parking lot yourself. When I asked numerous employees where a cart was there response I dont work in lumber. This store has no concept of team work. Poor management is obviousLowes always has carts available...
This location has flat out gone South relative to any semblance of cust sv. Details are being sent in a letter to Atlanta (VP-Ms Campbell, et al) as well to Houston TX HQ. Drove to this store 9 times in past 11 days: Paint messed up order; zero cust sv in most depts aside from Hdwe which is usually good if youre lucky to find an apron in the aisle; Lawn/Garden is hit and miss: sometimes good, other times poor. Front end cashiers usually good. Attitudes are atrocious, bordering apathetic and flat out rude. Stop hiring ex-Walmart rejects and ramp it up...alot. Convenient to house but better experience and less stress by driving to Allen/Plano or even the west McKy store. Probably the district rep over the 528 store at 75/380 needs to have a sit down by the region. Yes, not happy.
I found help within 5 minutes! The special I was looking for wasnt in stock (due to a shipping mistake apparently) however, I was able to find what I was looking for for a little bit higher cost. The young lady went out of her way to try and find it though and apologized profusely. All in all it was a better experience than previous shopping experiences Ive had at Home Depot!
1st time to oder online, a special order part from Home Depot. The experience at the McKinney Home Depot was great. A very friendly personal young man helped me. He saw me walk in and immediately offered to see what he could do for me. He was, quick, efficient, knowledgeable, and his actions made for an enjoyable experience. Thank you!
Unable to exchange a propane tank, yet again. For years I have been met the old refrain “sorry no propane, the exchange machine isn’t working”. So often that I’ve stopped shopping at this store.Today I happened to be in the shopping center for other reasons, with a propane exchange need. I thought I’d try one more time.As I entered the store I noticed the new machine, as well as manual propane locker. I thought today would be the day for a Home Depot propane exchange; I was wrong.I was again told that the machine was broken and unable to exchange propane. I asked for the head cashier to open the propane locker for a manual exchange. I was told that wasn’t possible.Goodbye Home Depot. Hello Lowes.
Curbside is terrible. I waited 15 minutes before I called and asked where my order is and they told me my bad no one has come out yet.Another time I drove up their when I got an email saying my order was ready and then I get there and they tell me it’s not at the store, even though it was there they just were being lazy.
Update 2022/06: Staff availability is much better now and store very well stocked.Update 2022/04: Customer service seems to be better on weekends but store more crowded also. Well stocked shelves.Very helpful staff, if you can find them. Prices on shelf arent always correct but ring up correct and are good on website.
Went to buy and item that shows there are 2 in stock in store online. Should have just ordered online. Total waste of time. Their inventory is never updated. Searched the shelves with an associate we didn’t even take time to check the boxes on the top. I had to do myself pretty much. Went to see if customer service could help, they made up and excuse that item was back ordered. Nowhere in their system did it say that. Very rude customer service associates. The only sweet one was a new hire associate who apologized for his co workers rude behavior. Tbh this is the second time this HD has been super rude to me. I don’t even know why I go back. This is why Amazon is superior imo. Dealing with associates who have no training in customer experience is the worst. At least try to help me order o line, comp the deliver fees to my home. Do something other than be rude
Good product selection from plants, plumbing, tools, electrical, flooring, custom window treatments... I love their app which tells me which aisle and bay to find what Im looking for and if my location has anybim stock. There are a number of self check out stations that are easy to use. I have found a couple instances when the app said one amount but no items were on the shelf. In one case the items were above in boxes which took time for workers to find and bring down and one case in garden when the count was just wrong
First and foremost I would like to give a awesome thank you to the store manager Kyle S. for such an amazing customer service experience at your store as we are very grateful for your kindness and help with our new patio furniture set. Kyle has set the bar for excellent customer service at the McKinney location that is for sure. We will definitely come back because you and your amazing staff will be the reason why we will continue to shop at your location. Thank you very much Kyle and the home depot staff for all your help!!!!
Extremely disappointed with this store and wont be returning to this location!! Called one day about purchasing a specific zero turn they had in stock, service desk put me on hold for over 15 minutes with it looping through. Went to the store in the morning to purchase and while waiting in customer service line found an associate walking by & asked to get mower. Went outside with associate to get the tag, and out comes 2 more associates with a customer that was behind me in line to buy the same mower. They refused us the mower to him because they said they scanned it in the computer while we were outside with other associate untagging the mower. Which I believe to be a lie because This person was behind us in line and the girl brought out a scanner in her hand to scan the tag. Piss poor customer service!! Besides the initial person helping us, the other associates didn’t give the slightest care. If this is how they treat their customers, I will not be returning to this store. Really like Home Depot, but this location has to be one of the worst customer service wise.
Terrible customer service. I asked for assistance with a very large Christmas tree and the cashier asked a male associate from the garden center to help us (myself and my daughter who is 9 months pregnant). He was annoyed and threw the tree on a flat cart and walked away. No assistance from anyone while trying to load the tree in our vehicle. I think Ill stick with Lowes from now on.
The service here was terrible! Asked a garden employee the price of a tree, he said he didnt know and moved on with what he was doing. Found a different person in the garden center, the same thing. I had to drag the tree all the way to Customer Service to get a price. Guess their jobs would be much easier without bothersome customers in their way???🤔
I’m only giving four stars because of some issues the store had with an online order that I had shipped there. However if I could give ten stars to their Manager Joanna and associates Mario & Gabe for their quick resolution of the problem, I would definitely do that. Thanks to all three of them for their professionalism & more importantly, their kindness. The world needs more people like them.
So Ive always been a Lowes girl. Not anymore. Emma, the gardening cashier helped us so much today, when she said I got you! To answering my questions she meant it. Knowledgeable staff like her make all the difference when youre on a budget and shopping with a toddler. Other staff helped us as well, and there was no lull in help despite it being super busy. Thank you, we will be home depot people for life.
Curbside is not convenient anymore. They dont come out and when you go in your order is on the other side of the building and it takes them forever to find it. This location is always a mess, unorganized and not stocked. Management needs to do better. I should just use Lowes across the street.
Talked to about 3 employees here and I enjoyed my experience! They were able to help me with a problem in my home and direct me to the right supplies to take care of it as well as informing how to use the supplies and how to prevent the problem from happening again in the future.
I come here often and there are a lot of good things to say about this location. Prices are fair, and the associates are very helpful. Place is kept clean and orderly. Only reasons why is doesn’t get 5 stars is it can sometimes being a Herculean task to get assistance in a timely manner. I’ve waited at times 30+ minutes for assistance. I don’t know if this due to just being overly busy or not enough staff, because once help does arrive they are very helpful. I do recommend this location regardless and if you couple your shopping with the HD app, it gets easier.
Im sorry but you have a few exceptional employees and a handful of lazy ones.I still prefer this location.Quick story: I was looking for a fuse for my house. Not the best system but I figured it out and go figure the fuse my house takes is the same as every house in the are so which ones are sold out? Mine. I saw a young man diligently stocking and he offered help but I knew he couldn’t do anything about it so I reached out to a manager asking about ordering or what my options are and apparently her and the other senior employees were busy pow wowing and she delegated to the same you man to help me without hearing me( key phrase) he did what he could and went back to work. I ended up going to Lowe’s across the street. This is why Amazon is so successful they listen to their customers and they watch what sell and make sure I buy it from them because Alexa heard me say I need a fuse ... I only needed it right away
A dear friend is a long haul truck driver. He purchased a range/oven stand alone unit that had been delivered a few weeks later. He had used the cook top but had never used the oven. Here I come to use the oven to cook him a meal and the oven gives me F1 and E0 errors. The oven will heat up a bit and then shut down throwing these errors. Call Home Depot as they USED to be customer satisfaction. Not any longer! Home Depot gave me the run around and SEVERAL phone numbers for the manufacturer. I had spent many HOURS on hold with the manufacturer to get an appointment for service. I will be a Lowes customer after this! Shame on you Home Depot for allowing this to happen to a senior citizen. I will NEVER purchase another thing from Home Depot!!!
I always wish I didnt come even if it happens to be the most convenient location. If the app says its in stock online dont hold your breath. Customer service is terrible. Its the only location weve ever been told we cant get store credit for a return even for unopened merchandise. Rockwall and Wylie are less convenient but its worth the drive!
They were out of so many things and very disorganized. I had difficulty getting down several aisles because there were ladders and carts parked all over the place and I had several shovels in my cart sticking out. I dont like the way their tools are arranged or that I have to find an associate to unlock the power tools. Lowes has them all out on display where you can actually look at them. There are certain things that I like about home depot but in this instance I was not thrilled with my shopping experience. The cashier was very helpful and friendly though!
Home Depot was a bit crowded today, but I am glad they are open and staffing as needed. I am unsure how I feel about them only having 2 actual residential check out lanes, all other lanes are either self check or or Professional only, but I didnt have to wait at check out at all. There was also plenty of working staff to assist the crowded store. Overall I could spend hours at Home Depot and that particular store is very nice.
During a recent visit to Home Depot, I was assisted by two different employees. One in Tools and one in the check-out process.Anthony, in Tools, opened up multiple locked tool bins to let look at tool combo kits. He spent all the time that I needed with me and never seemed impatient. Very impressive.Bri assisted me in the check-out process. She told me about a special financing offer that allowed me to save $50 on my purchase THAT DAY of the tool combo kit. She was also very impressive. It was notable that both employees were probably under the age of 25.
Went in and bought over $300 worth of goods, but accidentally left one bag. Came back an hour later and tried to reclaim my goods, was told I couldn’t because they had already returned everything. They proceeded to check my receipt and told me asset collection would have to review the tapes and go over everything because I left more than $50 worth of goods. Customer service took a copy of my receipt and told me someone would contact me. Never happened. Since I still needed some of those goods that same day, I had to re-buy them and the self checkout cashier recognized and confirmed I had left a bag earlier. Apparently that’s not good enough evidence. Fast forward, store manager finally answered when I called since no one would get back to me, then proceeded to act aggressive and tell me I could come in and file a police report if I wanted my goods back, because he wasn’t going to give me them to me otherwise. Extremely poor customer service for no reason at all. Needless to say, me and my family will be shopping at Lowe’s
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Paid over 1000$ in material 2-3k lbs worth and nobody wanted to help me load it. Stood around for an hour waiting for help only to be told they were to busy. They wanted me to cart 2-3k lbs worth of material from the very back of the lumber department to the front of the store and load it by myself. No forklift, no help, no nothing. Sticking to Lowe’s from now on, not only have I never had this problem there but they were also about 15% cheaper for the exact same material. What a disappointment.
Lots of low stock and out of stock. Shelves a mess. Many employees standing around socializing and not working. Same experience when I was there yesterday -- lots of work to do and not many employees doing it. Hard to find someone to help and when you do they give minimal direction and never accompany customer to help. Huge difference from Lowes where employees are wonderfully helpful and go out of their way for you.
We utilized the truck rental in a pinch for buying some furniture nearby. The truck itself and the base price were fine. The issue was with the service in Tool Rental. I had called ahead of time and the guy made a big deal out of coming immediately because the truck needed to be back by 7:30pm because they closed at 8pm. Since that was 2.5 hours away, we decided to head right over. There was only one guy working Tool Rental, he never called for backup, and he took his sweet time doing everything. We waited ~45 minutes in line to get the truck, which kept the people from whom we were buying the furniture waiting and meant that we only had ~1.5 hours to drive there, get the furniture loaded, drive to Dallas, unload furniture, drive the truck back to McKinney, and refill the gas tank. We made it, but only by the skin of our teeth. We then waited another 10 minutes in line to return the truck and it looks like we were charged for that time. There was a guy behind us in line that had the same situation. That 55 mins sitting in line could have been a lot shorter if the guy working Tool Rental had called for backup or just not been the only one working there. Alternatively, if Home Depot allowed returns to any location, that would have saved us a lot of time and money. Next time, I think well rent from Lowes or a moving truck company instead.
Great sale. however I hate it when they have sales and then say I have only 9 of them. like today I went when sale started sale clerk said I have nine of the wood u want I show Im like ok let me have it your sale just started will we dont have u see when the sale started in the ad thats what we had, Im like thats false info .
I needed a truck to move a desk and couldnt find any of my buddies who drive one! Home Depot has a great deal on a short term truck rental. $20 for 75 minutes. Be careful though if go over its $5 for every 15 minutes afterward. Refill it as well or youll pay $6 per gallon. Worked very well for me. 👍
Called ahead and didnt get anyone to answer for 15+ minutes. Then when they finally picked up, I was transferred to another department that never picked up at all. So I drove up there and recieved no help finding my item. When I found it, I did self check out and became it wouldnt scan I was finally approached by an employee that helped scan it. I asked her for assistance loading the large item in my truck, she paged for help. No one showed. There was another customer that saw me waiting and helped load it in my truck, but first I explained someone was on the way, he said and I quote ITS HOME DEPOT, IF YOU WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO HELP, YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE!
So many choices! Even several options for organic gardening, including a bee-friendly fungicide! Really, the only down side of this visit was that it took me so long to settle on the right choice for me because so many of the options looked so good... And I ended up buying 4 specialized fertilizers (general plant growth, vegetables, increased flowers, and acid-lovers), but they only carried the small box of Miracle-Gro fertilizer for acid-loving plants and I really need a big one because I have a lot of hibiscus, hydrangea, gardenia, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, etc. that need it.Also awesome.. Some of their plants were in sale! But the best thing about this place and the main reason I do almost all of my gardening shopping here is because of Terry. Terry is an extremely-knowledgeable guy who works in the gardening center. Any time I have a question about something for gardening, I always look for him. He has proven himself time and again to be honest and accurate. In fact, his advice has always been spot on! So, between that and the fact that returns are easy, Home Depot is my first-stop for gardening. In fact, the only reason I ever go across the street to Lowes is if they specifically dont have what Im looking for at Home Depot (Lowes generally has a lot more plant varieties available).
Probably one of the worst Home Depot’s in the area. A lot of the employees are chatting and not really working or really know too much except for a few old timers. But the store has low stock or very little compared to other Home Depot stores. Normally I hate Lowe’s. But the Lowe’s across the street will have exactly what you need. Can’t wait until the Home Depot in Prosper 423/380 gets built. Hurry up! This one is kinda embarrassing
Home Depot used to be my go to store, Im going back to Lowes. The majority of the customer service representatives at Home Depot at this location have a very bad unprofessional attitude. They treat customers like theyre doing you a favor by helping you. I guess theyve forgotten that by the customer making purchases that contributes to paying their salary. Going back to Lowes, if Home Depot doesnt have a smile and a thank you for a customer why should I bother spending my money when they are other options very nearby, no more Home Depot McKinney (@ 380 location) for me :(
This store has had people working there for quite some time and theyre very knowledgeable and theyre willing to help. 90% of the time there is somebody working in area if I have a question and the other 10% well it is Home Depot LOL. No problem checking out ever theres always a self-check and people there at the checkout stands. Returning a product is not a problem.
Store was clean and well organized. Although I knew what I was looking for it would have been nice if one of the several employees I saw standing around talking to each other would have asked if I needed assistance. The cashier with the service dog was great though. He was friendly and cordial.
Home Depot is the place to go for your home improvement needs. Honestly I cant ever go in there and not buy anything. Their prices are very reasonable and unlike their competitor, their salse associates are very knowledgeable and super honest. I have gone in and had them tell me on occasion if I can buy a product cheaper elsewhere. I tend to still buy it there because they are honest and I know can make my project easier. Gone are the days of going to the hardware store and having to make multiple trips. These guys make sure you have the right stuff the first time. I went to the L word once.... LoL spent over an hour there never once approached by a sales team member. You cant do that at Home Depot. Thats why I always come back! Great job!
Went here for a Christmas tree a week before Christmas. Had just gone to Lowes prior and they closed their tree area because it was cold out. Not only was HD open, the guy was super nice, trimmed the tree for us, and gave it to us free! Awesome service. Lowes lost my business that day. We were prepared to buy. Thanks HD!
Extensive range of home improvement supplies and tools. In general, if you need it, theyve got it. This location also has a very good equipment rental department. Friendly and helpful staff when you can find them. One dislike is that this location is often very crowded with displays placed in the middle of seemingly every isle.
I cannot day enough about the employees and the customer service they provided in this store. I came in the other night exhausted and not the most pleasant looking for portable heaters. I had already been to 3 other Home Depot’s and called several others who without even placing me on hold would just tell me no they didn’t have any even though online it showed they did.Anyhow- Every single person I came in contact with here- Aisha, Jackie, and there were 2 other women and a gentleman at the customer help desk were so kind and helpful. Although they did not have any heaters on the shelves for sale besides these little plug in minis, after hearing I had been driving all over they said they just had a return of 4 heaters and if I was interested in those they could sell them to me, but it didnt stop there. Since they were returned and likely used, they helped me set them up in the store to ensure thay worked before I bought them. Thank you all!!!
Fridge went out and needed a truck rental for an hour to pick up the new one.So glad I chose to go to Home Depot in Mckinney! The process was super, super easy!! Shane was very informative, helpful and friendly. Best of all unlike other vehicle rental places - there were no hidden fees! The rental and return process was no nonsense and took 15 minutes tops! I was in and out in no time and on my way.Perfect experience, I’ll be back for sure!
We rented a concrete mixer at this location and it was not checked out before we rented it . We tried to call them and couldn’t get through . So we went to the store and they told us they couldn’t reverse our rental or give us anything. So we hand mixed concrete and paid extra to do so .
This is my favorite Home Depot store! I refuse to go to any other Home Depot or Lowes for that matter. The employees here are VERY FRIENDLY and ATTENTIVE! They always have everything that I need in stock, whereas, other stores are always out. I never had an issue here and I will continue providing more business for years to come.
I love Home Depot! Always great employees looking to help. Last night at approximately closing time, my husband and I went to return material, and AISHA and her friend DARKO at customer service were rude and LITERALLY laughing AT my husband in our faces. Luckily for them, my husband is too happy to care! But I did feel like snatching her weave off and knocking her donkey teeth out her mouth.
Please get rid of the new system in use. i shop at the home depot a lot and ever since they started to use it has been nothing but trouble.trying to return lumber took 45 min of people trying to understand the computer.checking out takes twice as long because nobody understands the system.please remove this system.
Went in to get a certain saw blade I needed for a project. Finally after walking around for some time I found the right one. Paid for it put receipt in my pocket and thought the better of it and pulled it back out. When I had receipt in bag lady worker asked if everything was ok, I said oh I put receipt on bag so no one would say wheres your receipt for that. She says oh no no one would do that. Yea musta thought I was at Walmart.
I was very disappointed today when I went in to get some kerosene.I asked if they had any kerosene, 4 employees later I was able to find out that the kerosene that I needed was all the way on the top shelf at the garden area and that they would have to take all the items out of the way and that it would take 15 to 20 minutes to get it down, and the guy pretty much let me know “You sure you going to make us take all this down for just one kerosene” I felt so disrespected and was very displeased,I told them no worries , that I would go to Lowes and get it, went to Lowes and got it in less than 5 minutes ! I am most definitely never going back to Home Depot, will go to Lowes from now on.
I was on hold waiting for the tool/equipment rental and was transferred 3 times to the service desk. Yazmin (I hope I spelled her name correctly) was so kind and helpful and offered to do the reservation for me herself. She really went above & beyond to help a customer out. She is a real gem I hope the manager sees this and gives her a promotion! THANK YOU YAZMIN!!! I’m on my husband’s google account btw lol
His Home Depot is typical of many in the chain. As it is Christmas time the shells are quite well stocked with gifts for people as well as a huge display of Christmas decorations. The staff as usual are friendly and helpful. There is also plenty of parking at the store.
They have about anything you could use in building materials and repair parts. And many brand name tools and consumables. ...go to place for how- to coaching as well. And they discount price freight damaged lumber and building materials__good when you dont need a full piece. I love this place.
I love Home Depot but to only have 1 cash register open on Saturday afternoon with nobody using the self checkout isnt very good customer service. The register line mustve had 10 people waiting to be checked out and no response from anyone trying to get help. Felt like I was at Walmart.
Talk about the Holiday Spirit!! I went in to buy some Christmas decor and what a selection!!. Walked in to a Happy Holidays! How may I help you. Wow what a difference from you know who. With Christmas music playing and a employee Singing!! Really helped make my day .keep up the Great customer service!! Well done
My husband and I frequent this location often, but are mainly self-sufficient on our visits. We recently purchased carpet and had to use assistance from the flooring department. They were SO great! The staff who assisted us were so friendly, very helpful, had great attitudes and went above and beyond. I was especially impressed with Esain who mainly helped us on both our visits. I had a lot of questions and he was great with all of them, did not rush me nor did he make me feel like I was asking for too much. If anyone needs flooring, I will definitely recommend them to this location. Thank you SO much Esain!!
I had a terrible experience at this Home Depot and probably will never go back to this store. I went there to get keys made. There was no one at the key machine. So I asked an employee. They said they would page someone over. 10 minutes later, I finally here her page someone. 5 minutes past, still no one. Another customer walks up needing keys as well. I waited a couple more minutes then asked another employee. He paged for someone then walked and found an employee. He told me they were almost done helping someone then would come. 15 minutes later someone finally comes and they completely ignored me and the rude customer waiting behind me hands them their damn key and they get multiple keys made. So after another 15 mins (yah if you add all this waiting up, it equals 45 minutes) the employee asked if I needed keys made. I said yes and I was waiting 15 minutes longer than the customer you chose to help before me. No apology. Didn’t even make eye contact. 10 mins later, I finally have my keys made. RIDICULOUS. It was 12:30pm on a damn Friday. Terrible customer service. Will not return.
Customer service at this location is absolutely horrible. The lady flat out calls you a liar and says there is nothing you can do about returning a gift yet the manager says you can? We went out of our way to bring an item after being told by the manager they can give a store credit only to be declined and of course the manager that told us yes is not on duty today!! Go figure.
We bought a Samsung dishwasher 3 months ago and it literally just died. We purchased the extended warranty (thankfully) so we went back to Home Depot to see what our options were. Thankfully, Bobby, was willing to work with us and he has gone above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. Buying a major appliance is a big deal, and knowing that we are being taken care of is so comforting! I will go back to Home Depot again and again!! Thank you, Bobby, for taking care of us. We returned the Samsung dishwasher and purchased all new Kitchen Aid appliances . Thank you, Bobby, for your patience and walking us through this!!!
Waited to pickup order and nobody was helped or did anything in customer service so left there to check other pickup location at pro desk. When I got down there was greeted by two idle employees that said they couldnt help me and I had to wait at customer service... I explained that nobody was getting helped down there and they just replied that I should go down there and wait. No customer service found in customer service.
Unlike Angela Huntgate, I understand that cashiers are cashiers for a reason, they generally dont know squat about construction but are friendly enough to show you a smile and be the last face you see when you leave. I think most Home Depots, this one is no exception, are very contractor friendly and have all the things you need to get through your day! Thanks Home Depot! I just wish you were more Christian friendly.
Terrible store with terrible management. Home Depot keeps trying to drop off a floor model grill to my home. After sending it back 2-times and speaking with 5 different Home Depot managers, Ive finally relented. You win Home Depot. Ill take the floor model grill instead of a new one (as promised) just so I dont have to speak with any of your personnel again. Going forward, Ill be driving right past Home Depot and straight into Lowes
Paint department was awesome only problem is my cart with all my stuff was put up by an employee who couldnt take a moment to ask if cart belongs to one of the customers 15 ft away while getting paint! What the heck, unproductive and inconvenient to customers! Had to start over!
Rented a circular saw to complete a project. The saws blade was dull and missing teeth which I didn’t notice until I got home and tried to use it. When I took the saw back I informed the employee to which he replied “we don’t rent them with the blade normally anyways, it’s your responsibility to supply that.” So for a $13 rental, the customer has to buy a $40 blade. Disappointing experience to say the least and I wasn’t able to use the saw to complete what I wanted. Buyer beware, thoroughly inspect tool rentals.
I HATE the new check out center, to disorganized, cards only, cash only, im alawys like everyone in the wrong line. Lanes down, system not working. One cashiers running around looking like they could quit at any moment or cry. And i know Im not the only one that feels this way. If you like your new system , designate witch lane is for what and figured out crowd control. If you wait, then get in wrong lane then 5 to 10 people ahead of you. Its make me just want to walk away or go to Lowes.
I have done many diy projects and home reno with products from Home Depot. Purchased appliances, flooring, and something from just about every department there with no problems. My only issue that I ever have is that their lumber isnt particularly straight and if you order some and have it shipped, be prepared to need some of it replaced. You really have to pick through it. (I would recommend Lowes for lumber.) Otherwise you can find just about anything you need for home projects here and reasonable service.
I had a great experience here. I went in and asked an employee where I could find an item that I needed, and he led me right to it. He then helped me find the other things I needed, including giving me a tip on how to get a discount for one of the items. What I got seemed reasonably priced, too
No accountability! Pro desk is a joke. Got sold and suggested and delivered the wrong item. They have cost me project time, and the runaround was extreme...2 days, 14 transfers and nothing made right. Damaged products from original delivery also. Gabe at the McKinney central expressway location I would rate at -1 if I could. Noel, because it was his last schedule day, passed the buck and did not assist in finding a solution at all. Kara , who Noel said would pick up the issue , never called back. When I called her, she passed me to Kianna instead of dealing with the issues. Kianna offered no solution and passed me to Gabe, who was a total Jerk. HOME DEPOT HAS LOST ALL FUTURE BUSINESS FROM ME.
Hey, other people will try to cloud your mind with alternative places to fix up that almighty homestead you have devoted your life to.But stay steady and focused my friend. If you pass it up just make that uturn back to Home Depot. Its the only place that will treat you right and stand behind it.And a bonus, The people are just darnright friendly. Now I know by experience,Ive been shopping at the home depot in McKinney for over ten years and they are the real deal. Now go load up that lumber and a bag of nails and get to it !!
Well, we have given home depot thousands of dollars over the years and put up with mistake after mistake, mishap after mishap, but today, this is the last straw. We ordered over $2,000 worth of laminate flooring. Waited 2 wks for it to come in and another 2 wks for installation. Of course,we paid in full up front. Nothing unusual so far. In order to save hundreds of dollars, we worked all labor day weekend and pulled up the old flooring and cleared out all the furniture with anticipation of the installation scheduled for today. When the installers got here, they said that due to the unevenness of the floor, they couldnt install it.We have had flooring installed twice before and neither previous company ever mentioned it and weve never had any issues.HD never once told us that there could be an instance where they could not do the installation. We did know that if they had to do any leveling that it would be an additional charge but since we had had it done 2x before, we werent concerned. Now we have no flooring or furniture in our living room and are frantically trying to find someone to finish what Home Depot started.SHAME ON YOU HOME DEPOT for not fulfilling your end of the agreement and leaving loyal customers in a bind. But one thing is for sure, you will not get another dollar from us.
Look I know its Easter and its nice they were open. I went to this store earlier in the day to grab few things and there were no sogns anywhere saying they are closing at instead of the posted 8. Well I need a couple.more items to finish the job so I come back its 730 and an employee comes by door saying closed st 6 cause Easter. I live 20 minutes away so imagines my frustration. While Im at itSeveral weeks ago I ordered a pantry door, then one with frosted glass and says pantry. Went through allm the measurements etc. Im he assured I would get it within 2 weeks which was perfect cause my house being painted during that time. Well door took 10 extra days to come.in and when it came.in... it was backwards.
I had difficulty finalizing my online purchase and couldnt get past the cart/checkout - it just kept looping. The chatroom associate told me that I couldnt do it because my order is 100+ items and it is $4500+ so they referred me to ProDesk. My call was answered by Mr. James Swadley and he made sure that my orders were delivered the day I wanted it. He even noticed that some of the boards that I was trying to order were not the right size for my project and he was right. He helped me and at the same time sold more for Home Depot (now $5000+) by using his experience so I gave him and his team 5 stars.
I am here at Home Depot on 380 and I’ve been at the lumber section for about 20 minutes it looks like a ghost town over here, this store just gets worse and worse every time I come in here, I used to love browsing here, But hey don’t seem to care here about the store or there customers.
We will not go this store again. We needed help and asked 4 different people and none of them cared or even tried to help us. They refused to go find someone who could help us. It was the worst customer service we have seen -actually there was NO customer service. They just did not care! This is a management issue not to hire and train people in customer service. We were appalled at the attitudes shown us. We do not recommend this store to anyone. We went straight over to Lowes across the street and were treated exceptionally well and got everything we needed. Go to Lowes!
I just wish the people who work there would ask you if you need help when your clearly showing you need it instead of walking past you... every once in awhile I get amazing customer service by knowledgeable people... but its those times you really have questions or need help finding something that no one is around to ask...
Attempted to rent a trencher. There were two setting on the lot with signs showing they were available for rent. The place was busy as usual. The person at the desk said that both trencher were down and that they could not help me. One of the trenchers appeared to be brand new. Not a good practice to have trenchers on the lot that do not work and should not have signs showing they were available for rent.
No one can pickup the phone and actually help a customer. The manager needs to do a little training on customer service. I called 5 times trying to get ahold of the paint department and talked with a few other employees that didn’t seem to care either. Never got anywhere so I guess I will try Lowe’s...
For a company that doesnt believe in the 2nd Amendment they did ok. I spent some time getting help in the plumbing department and you could tell the help I got didnt have a clue but he called two or three people and got me the answers I needed. Either he was new or out of his area but worked hard to find the answer for me. So great job to him.

2021-08-27Always a friendly place to shop for lumber, tools and other accessories. I always need help cutting wood to fit in my car and they cut wood from 12-inches and up. Ive always liked the friendly atmosphere and customer service - especially during summer time season when Im on the look out for savings on lawn products.

2022-06-27I just wanted to show much appreciation to Mr. Ted, an associate at 1515 central Ave McKinney TX. We have shopped at Home Depot for almost everything we have needed for our home renovation but I have never received as much help as I did today with Ted. All I had was the model of my tab faucet and I needed the parts that would be used to attach the faucet to the wall. I did not know the exact parts I needed to get. I approached Ted, who was busy and asked him for help. He asked probing questions to make sure he understood what I was needing. Once he had a good understanding, he went and helped me look through the different parts to make sure they were the right size for the faucet I had on hand. He explained why the parts would work, he also picked up the glue and the o-ring for me as well. What I appreciated the most was that he did not just direct me where to go, he went and helped me look for the items. I asked to speak to the manager to let her know how helpful Ted had been, and I also just wan to make it known to the world. Thank you Ted, and may God bless you.

2022-03-21My fiancé and I come here almost every weekend. Staff is friendly and the store is organized. I want to thank the lovely young lady in painting today in the early afternoon. She was the only one behind the counter and handled the long line of customers so patiently. Very friendly and accommodating. Also, our cashier Barbara was very nice and thanked us for our business. Thank you for the wonderful shopping experience!

2022-06-05Filbert helped us find appliances and he was awesome. He pulled up his consumer reports account to find us the most reliable ones. He double checked to make sure we got a good deal and took great care of us. Saved us a lot of time and money. Look for this guy when buying any big ticket items there!

2022-06-11I went to pick my order, there was no customer attendant, after waiting sometime a lady came and printed my order, by then other customers lined up behind me. The lady told me to wait while she served other customers before she cold bring my orders. I went to the car and waited for about 20 mins. Came back and my item was not in site.I asked her why I am the only one who had to wait while I came ahead of everyone. She was rude, told me she is willing to cancel my order,I left did not want to create a scene, maybe she didn’t like me because of my color, I will never give Home Depot a dime in my life. They need to learn how to treat customers especially those on the front line

2022-06-06This is the worst home Depot I have ever been to. Absolutely no help when youre looking for it. Every time Ive been there theres guys sitting around lazy when theres customers that are just needing a helping hand and on top of that Im a pro account holder. I call and call and no one answers the phone. Finally, I get the service desk and after being transferred to a pro accounts they just hang up on me so they dont have to deal with it. They really put a bad name on home Depot at this place and its a shame that I dread having to go to this one locally with my customers that are nearby. I really hope they get it together.

2022-06-22Buyer beware do not buy anything of value from Home Depot I recently went to purchase a master built 1050 grill. Both floor models were heavily and obviously damaged to the point that they would not function as designed. I assumed that the 3 different associates I was working with would go to the back and bring out a new undamaged grill. However, this was not the case. It was only after I requested to get one from the back and even then they were unsure if the were allowed to sell me one. It only was until I requested to speak with the manager that he could offer to discount the damaged grills 25%. I am concerned as a consumer that the manager claimed Home Depot’s policy is that it is the consumer’s responsibility to identify that the product that they are purchasing under the premise that the item is new is also in new condition. It was at this point that I requested a refund and I will be looking to purchase this item somewhere else.

2022-06-12Went to customer pick up to check on an order. It wasnt up front, however Jessie took the time to go to receiving and check to see if it was there (kitchen faucet). She found it and I was able to finish a job on time! Thanks Jessie!! You deserve a raise!!

2022-02-22Yenay don’t like Customers. The pro desk manager Behind desk. Both look at you and make you wait 20min until she/they are ready. But maybe my skin ain’t the right color for her. But I do expect this from Home Depot so I laugh. It’s entertaining, that employees go out of their way to be rude. I was in line behind customer that just checked out. I walk up she walks away. I ask manager hey is there anyone that could help me? After 5-10min. They look and say no. Then another 10min yenay decided to check me out. Moral of the story, expect the worst at Home Depot, all locations all employees. Believe me when I do have good experiences and the minimum help. I do appreciate it and give good reviews.
