Staff was helpful, but they didnt have the 1 item I needed even though it said it was in stock online. 8 aisles I tried to go in were closed or blocked and when one I needed finally opened up, there were workers (not Home Depot employees) throwing boxes all over the aisle.
Not always easy to find someone to help. When I do find someone to help of course its not the department they work in so waiting for an associate takes a bit. If you are in no rush and need assistance this is a great store. The location is always very clean. The lines may seem long but they move fast. I also love that they have self checkout.
I bought a new 40v Ryobi mower. Ads mention battery and charger; could be extras, as in another battery and charger. Not sure but one would think if you buy a battery mower youre not entitled to a battery and charger. Crazy marketing. Dont mention these as extra for its misleading.
Ordered a washer and dryer, I’m AD Military, and was supposed to have delivery that Friday. The delivery company failed to call, or arrive as scheduled. Customer service said they couldn’t tell the delivery to turn around or make the delivery, only reschedule and offered me $150 as compensation. It cost $20 that week to use the laundromat.I rescheduled for the following weekend. Of course, the contracted delivery company did the same thing again. The driver did call me in the morning, but did not answer additional phone calls when I tried to get an update.When I called customer service, of course all they could do was reschedule. Apparently, they had the wrong address, the previous weekend they “spoke to someone who said they were out of town”. The delivery company deliberately lied. The Home Depot has no control over their delivery contracts, and their customer service is incapable of enforcing the contracts or making it right for the customer. When I was “offered” the opportunity to reschedule I simply cancelled the order. I will be shopping at Lowes from now on. I don’t know how you can treat customers this way and stay in business.
This place is horrible do not purchase home appliances here. My dad bought a washer and dryer and its been already over a month and he still hasnt been able to use it. The lady who helped him did not tell him he needed to purchase the kit for the washer and dryer hes ordered it 3 times the first two times they took to the wrong address the third time he waited all day for it to be delivered and the washer and dryer to be installed and nobody ever showed up. We went in once to complain and he just wanted his money back and they will not give him his money back unless he can take in the washer and dryer himself which he cannot because he is an elderly man. We spoke with the manager who supposedly set up the delivery and installment and nobody ever came by or called.
The staff didnt seem very friendly or happy to help. The old man who worked at the granite countertop section told us wed be better off buying the budget stuff, he wad very condescending about it too. Sorry were dressed in tshirts and jeans??? Who knew they had to look rich to shop at Home Depot and not be judged by their employees.
Like many others I have been a home Depot customer for years and never had a problem till today. Ayden at the pro desk is a good worker and goes above and beyond. I had a will call order and I literally had to go get the supplies myself. Everyone left him by himself and Everytime he tried to call someone in the back NOBODY picked up.. after I gathered all materials he called someone to help me load up but nobody was to be found. Later on I saw 2 guys outside just lollygagging and when Ayden asked them to help me they quickly came up with an excuse. Thats not even then end of it, once outside the ONLY person willing to help me was another contractor and I helped him load his truck. Incompetent lazy workers!n! Management needs to step up theyre game and manage your workers.
This location is horrible. I’ve been on hold twice for 20 minutes trying to get ahold of the tool rental department. The third time I called to speak to a manager & the phone just rings while I wait another 10 minutes with no answer. Finally, we decided to just go to the store in person to get the machine we needed & they gave it without gas & the key. Super inconvenience & waste of time!
So many employees to ask for help if needed. There is also a place with lockers to pick up orders, located at the Entrance(picture attached). I additional found a MORTISE LOCK SET ( I call it a Skeleton Key Lock/Picture Attached) This is for really old Homes. There is plenty of Space to shop comfortably. Really safe store to shop in. They have cashiers and also self check out for Quick Service. Military discount available. This is a Good Store.
Got a text message to pick up a package. They couldnt find it. Turns out their system sent me a double text for a package I had already picked up and Im waiting on another. I stood waiting for almost an hour and the manager never spoke to me until I requested to speak with a manager. Not impressed with their problem solving skills or professionalism.
I called to check the availability of a space heater and I found the automated option to have a list of items texted to me very helpful. I called the Alamo Heights location to double check the availability. The employee informed me they had one in stock but unable to locate, he offered to look for it and hold it for me. When I arrived, he was apologetic about not being able to locate it. Another employee directed me to a different store down the street where I could find one, and even where in the store they were located. I was ultimately able to get what I needed. I had been searching all morning for one, and had no luck due to a recent wave of panic buying. I have a sick child and a broken heater, so having people that were willing to help made a huge difference.
The cashiers / customer service reps in the Pro service center dont seem to care about good customer service ,you would think that they would treat the customer better with a sense of urgency .One of Home Depot slogans is time is money but the Pro reps / cashiers take their sweet time to help you out they usually busy talking to each other socializing and when they do they happen to have a bad attitude. Im surprised that management has not addressed this or corrected it especially with contractors spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on material and tool , it looks like its time for some retraining or time to get new hard working employees that are willing to help the customer.
This Home Depot does not even deserve one star. This is the probably the WORST Home Depot store ever! I had to wait about 20-30mins to have someone take care of me. Well actually, I had to call the assistant manager Emily to help me because all the associates acted like they did not have to take care of their customers. I asked the man who was in charge of online orders to paige someone and he said he would (only to know he could care less in getting someone to help me and never called someone).Nate, thank you for trying to help me find a flat washer. It was not your fault not being able to find it, after all the Hardware department is a MESS.Oh and this Home Depot is the DIRTIEST store. There was literally dust on every item in this store.Hopefully Headquarters pays a lovely visit WITHOUT notice, so they can see for themselves.
Terrible Customer service manager is a fraud report it several times this store does not hold its standards to home depot core values. Fire the manager and crew who are fraud. They screw up your orders. Ive been a customer f9r many years and never have I been in this situation.The only person who made sense was Emily please make her a manager she is a huge help.
I have always get great service from them. But i do have a problem. I bought windows about 8 months or so . i would need to located my recipe. I have a problem having my balancers replace . windows would not stay up. I spoke with a manager from the window department. She order them . they were the wrong ones.I waited and waited never got. Call back. So I had to go back now its been about 4 months. She no longer is working there .and no one knows anything about. They have no pending documents on me or any others. My balancers not there. Now there is another person there. Now I was told he would have to reorder. So I would have to come to my house an came back with the part number with my phone number. To call me soon as the part comes in. 3 weeks goes by. I go back to check on him was about my parts. Now he is no longer working there. Here WE GO AGAIN. THE PERSON DONT KNOW ANYTHING. an. NO INFORMATION ON ME. WHO OR WHAT DO I Have. HAVE TO DO. .IM A REGULAR CUSTOMER AND I LOVE TO BUY A HOME DEPOT . I JUST WANT TO GET. SOME ONE TO GET MY PARTS. I. USE MY HD CARD. SO THEY KNOW THE WINDOWS I BOUGHT . ITS That Hard to HAVE IT DONE RIGHT. MY WIFE IS NOT HAPPY SO SHES GETS ON ME. WENT IS THW WINDOWS. BE DONE RIGHT ? THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. Poor customer service at rental desk and with management. After waiting for 30 minutes ending up leaving with No help! These people had the type of attitude as if they were forced to work here. Not friendly and not helpful. Take the drive to visit another store, not worth it.
Im working on a special project and needed an 2x10 board only 8 long. This is most often used as a door or window header and the shortest they had on the shelves was 8.I spoke with an associate and he led me to the scrap pile. They have an area by the saw they use to cut your measurements if you dont have a saw. They keep the cut-offs and thats where we found a piece that was precisely 8 long. Best of luck, he let me have it for FREE!Remember that the next time you need a short-short piece.
Was sent here from another store for a specific spray paint. Its 8:30 at night, 5th store Ive been to. Your paint girl NATALIE told me to order it online to find it, as she wouldnt. What I dont get, is WHY TF, since Im here, cant she find it. Stores empty, is it laziness? Smh TRASH SERVICE
Update (12/29/21): STILL have not received my entire order.Update (10/13/21): STILL have not received my entire order.Meh.Customer service and store cleanliness is substandard compared to other stores (even their own sister stores).Bad experience lately with a high dollar purchase. Received an email stating my product was in and that I was required to pick it up by a certain date (had it delivered to store to save on shipping costs). Attempted to rent one of their trucks but none available at that location so went to a sister store. Anyone who rented from Home Depot knows that renting is very time sensitive. Mindful of that, contracted primary store in advance to stage my purchase at the loading area to minimize wait time. Got verbal confirmation. Upon arrival, waited so long I eventually escalated to store manager and that got things moving but it put a, strain on my time with the rental. Once I returned the truck, got home, and unpacked the product, discovered it was only a partial delivery. I was incensed.Called the store manager (who believed it was the full delivery) to investigate. He called me back and affirmed that it was indeed a partial delivery as confirmed with the manufacturer. To his credit, the store manager said that once the package was delivered, he would ensure it was delivered to my home at no additional cost. This was on the 7th of September (almost two weeks ago).I guarantee that Home Depot is charging me interest on my purchase although I havent fully received what I paid for.
Dont tell a customer your going to help them and then walk off and help someone else, especially when your standing right there headed to get the stairs to get down ptoduct you just said you forgot to restock.Ace and other mom n pops will be getting much more of my business. This has become an issue at least at the 5 Home Depots I usually deal with.Holidays are NO excuse for this type of service.I dont appreciate wasting more than 15 minutes of my time, then you repeated the same action with another customer as I stood in plain site.
They had the exact christmas lights I was looking for, and at a good price. But dang who designed the layout for the christmas section. It was so cramped and difficult to walk through especially if you had a cart. Myself and other shoppers were bumping in to each other and having to constantly weave in and out of the tight little lanes that they set up. Next Christmas maybe make more room so people can fit in the area!
Roy in appliance is a Pro at what he does knowledgeable and very helpful. Thank Roy ! One thing management needs to realize that when you call the store everything is available unless it is totally out of stock . So this afternoon I tried to order some things to pickup at store. So I call the store to check on these items .What aggravates me the young lady told me I had to order these items on line cause they had none in store. But then it would be delivered tomorrow at my house for a 9.00 additional fee . I worked at this store so I know that management doesnt give a S.... So let me tell you dont use their on line services it more a hassle then going to the store. So I went to the store and bought the things that I wanted and they had them in stock . Management who trains your employees dont answer because you yes management hasnt been trained !!! Get your act together folks . Also public dont buy LOCTIGHT FOAM IN CAN, IT BEEN EXPIRED FOR MONTHS IF NOT YEARS. I WILL SAY PAT AT SELF CHECK WAS VERY HELPFUL SHE WAS GREAT. SO AT THE HOME DEPOT I WILL LEAVE IT YOUR OWN EXPERIENCES.
The lack of customer consideration is stunning. They make you check yourself out or wait in a forever line to actually check out. They roll into every town in America, put the customer service oriented hardware stores out of business, and then serve us up a pitiful plate of customer-no-service. Pathetic.
Man I swear when I say Im a BIG kid Im a BIG kid when it comes to this store Home Depot. ... There is numbers of things that says this is my home store. I come to get whatever I need and they always have it to assist me in one of my various jobs/remodels. This is the store I compare to Kids R Us. Remember that store guys .this is my Kids R Us ... The Home Depot. I love this store . One of the other things I love is there core values and the way the present themselves .they hold themselves up to to higher standards as well as there stock and company overall is taken care of very nicely.
I placed the order last Monday and it was to be delivered the next day. Unfortunately, I used the wrong delivery address and couldn’t change it online. So, I called Homedepot.com to change it but they couldn’t. She said I had to call the store that was filling the order to change it. So, I called the store and after being on hold for about 20 minutes, she said they couldn’t change it. I had to cancel the order and then reorder it again on Homedepot.com. Well, its not over. The web site said my order cancelation will take 3 to 5 days to process, so guess what? The store where I had ordered the 65 boards didn’t have any stock. Apparently, my canceled order reduced their inventory count even though the order never left the store. What a stupid system. The next available delivery day was Saturday. So, I waited 5 more days to get the order delivered and when it finally does arrive, 20 of the 65 boards are damaged or split. What horrible customer service!
I whent to this store 20 minutes ago Monica help me on Christmas department t.I explained yo here about me yesterday going to 2 different stores doing our Christmas 🎄 shopping.She dis her best and they where out of stock wat I have been looking to buy.When we about to pay she look for me and give me a Great and Blessing news.That she was be able to sell me the display sice in other stores they where just sending me to another location.I also whant to thanks her manager for making this happend to who ever she whent to talk about what has haplendShe did her job above and beyond my speciation.Monica thank you so much for helping ❤ us we wi co.e back more often to this locationWe appreciate what you did help us and be an excellent employee with a great smile 😃 and good customer service.
Nice man helped me find the wood I needed and cut it for me . A customer was also very helpful and patient while he helped me figure out what I needed. I had more questions but I will do my research. I think this is not a place to come for too many questions especially when they are busy. All in all I got most of the supplies I need but it only took all day. Glad I came here and was able to get my wood picked out and cut so fast. He stopped what he was doing stocking shelves to come help me unlike the other fella from the other Home Depot.
Very knowledgeable and helpful young clerk in plumbing on my last visit, but thats a hit-or-miss thing, when you can find someone in a particular department to ask a question of, that is. But the store has a good array of products, on the other hand it would be nice if it werent so dark inside. Skylights like Walmart uses would be a good idea, and a concrete shake hardener to make a white floor would be immensely helpful and make the store a much brighter and happier place. Easy returns is a big plus.
Everything fine, except guy who parked his truck n trailer in loading area n blocked everyone for about 30 minutes. Had to load 4 x 10 drywall byself at far end of parking lot.Come on people, he only loaded about 12 boards.. guess he n contracting are more important than the rest of us
Employee at self-checkout slowed me down to make sure I scanned all my items and didnt steal, didnt say sorry for wasting my time. I scanned everything perfectly just felt really bad having that happen to me and Im sure happens to many customers who try to self-checkout to get out of the store quicker.
I went into the store at about 11am, and it was thriving. The aisles were pretty much free of carts and staff resupplying the shelves. The inventory is for heavy duty, efficient approach to building or repair, its amazing, and of quality.From the Highway 281 (and its really elevated nearby) the store is easy to reach when driving Southward from the 410 Loop.
Frank is an amazing employee. I went in the store looking for what i needed and this gentleman helped me. He stopped what he was doing an came to assist me and my client. My client had a wheelchair that need to be fixed. He gave up some of his time to assist the chair. Its not his job but he has wonderful cutsomer service. Thank you Frank.
Last time I stop here felt so discriminated against. I was violated to the point I didnt even want to make a purchase. The self check out register employees but one in particular needs to know how to approach customers. Especially if they think whatever they think toward an individual.
I had to order some products from the store today for my contractor to pick up tomorrow and spoke withDwith at the pro desk, where you order products. She went above and beyond helping me she was very friendly, conscientious and she called me several times when I had to verify other information. She actually went in the store to the product to verify it was there. Thank you Donna for your great service. I wish there was more customer service friendly helpful people like her in the world. We are looking to remodel our kitchen and made an appointment to see the “designer” at the Sunset Road Home Depot today. She was ten minutes late, was very unprofessional, and had a “couldn’t care less” attitude. We left after 10 minutes. We were very surprised, as this is not the norm for employees at Home Depot. We have always had employees there be very courteous and helpful. Needless to say, we will go somewhere else to spend our money for cabinets and countertops. Your products are excellent, but this employee, not so much.
I went and bought over $1,000 0f material because im in the remodeling businesses and this is not the first time i come here since its close for me and the material its in good shape compared to other stores but the customer service as far as helping you load its by far the worst. I asked management to get me some help and after waiting and waiting 2 guys came out but to help a guy some one else that had 3 buckets and then helped some one else pushed a cart so my wife had to help me and she has back problems ..managers need to get more on top of this and hire loaders that can really help and do their job .
The Home Depot is the only place I shop. Dont like the blue store at all. Like any HD, though, this one seems to be struggling lately with inventory control of various smaller items. Big ticket items are always correctly counted and placed, but smaller hardware items, parts, and tools are not counted/quantitied correctly or are misplaced or out of stock. This seems to be an issue company wide.
Of the big box stores, Home Depot is my preference. I am a beginning woodworker and the quality of their lumber is much better than their competitor. They also have a great return policy. If you buy paint or stain here and don’t like the color, just return it! No questions asked. They make me feel like a pro when I come here and their staff is always friendly.
I went into this store this morning, 11/30/202, to buy paint and supplies for my job. At checkout, I showed my military ID to receive my discount as I have done so many times at Home Depot while doing projects around the house. After the cashier applied the discount, I went to use the company card and she informed me that my discount was not allowed for non-personal purchases. I apologized and told her it was for my job, and that I pulled out my ID card out of habit. She then asked if I had another form of payment. I told her no, and that it needed to go on the company card. She asked me that same question multiple times trying to get me to pay with another form of payment. Once she realized that I did not have another form, she cancelled the order and re-scanned everything. While scanning everything, she told me over and over about the policy of the discount for only personal purchases. She talked down to me the whole time until she finished scanning everything and I paid. She also said that since I tried to use my discount improperly, I would not be able to use it there again due to her knowing my information from my ID card. I did not realize that Home Depot kept people’s information in their system like that. I realize that I messed up by requesting the discount, but I do not think that I needed to be talked down like that due to an honest mistake. It was a $150 purchase, so it is not like I was trying to scam the system for a $15 discount that my company was paying for anyways.
Went in looking for a new kitchen faucet with a sprayer attachment and was dismayed by the prices. Then I remembered the clearance section usually has a good selection of stuff you dont buy that often and found a perfect fit chrome faucet with a sprayer for 1/2 off. $50.00. Installed it with only a minimum amount of cussing but didnt have to change anything as far as cutting holes. Love it, love it, love it.
They have a great promotion, buy ryobi batteries, and get a tool free, the only problem is that they had only a few batteries, and by Tuesday afternoon they are gone, ordered few batteries, the old bait and switch, I thought home depot was better than that shame on you!!!!!!!
I always have great customer service here at home depot especially this location! I like that people actually want to help you. I recently purchased an item with Lowes and had the worse experience with long pick up time and very rude and condescending staff. Never again! Ill never go anywhere else except to Home Depot from now on! The pick up lockers are pretty cool!! No waiting at all and easy to use and the staff is great!
Stopped by this Home Depot today looking to buy clips for a strapping kit for work. The customer service was outstanding. Erica C. went above and beyond helping us try to find the clips we needed. When we came to the conclusion that they don’t sell them in the store she went out of her way to have someone bring us up some of the clips they use. We only needed four so a nice gentleman by the name of Tony brought us up a handful to see if we could use them. It was exactly what we needed! I was very grateful for the service and friendliness of both Erica and Tony. They were wonderful employees and I hope their efforts get recognized. They both went above and beyond helping us when they didn’t have to. It was much appreciated!
My sawzall broke and was in desperate need to meet a deadline, i place an order online for same day in store pickup and continued working, trusting homedepot had my back and i should not concern myself. i was wrong. they never got my order ready, i kept working, looked at my phone, and it was 840pm and there was no way they would have my order ready sameday. it was too late to get one somewhere else... i was stuck and ended up failing. This morning i call the store directly multiple times, i go through the menus and end up on the other end or a non stop ringing phone, waiting for an associate to answer, the most i let it ring was for 5 minutes, no one ever answered. this alamo heights homedepot is the worst, even when i go in store, there are never any associates anywhere to help, and the ones you do find, arent at all helpful.
My order was filled within 1 hour from the time I ordered 2 separate orders. This is very impressive BUT the only problem i see is that no one EVER CHECKS MY ID at any of the Home Depots I rather not say what city but the state is TEXAS so keep up the great work and CHECK THAT ID
Good just got to shop around them people that work there and talk in groups with there carts blocking walk way. When you walk up to were there working??. They look at you as if your in there way and until you say excuse me they move there carts and make faces and go back to acting like there counting or something I always thought customrs fist but not there and this is at all home depots to.
It just doesnt get any better. When I go there, I cannot get anyone to help me. If I ask, they say hes coming, then 15 minutes later they tell you he is with some one else. They have no staff checking. I decided to call tonight and asked for the garden dept. No one answered the phone so, after 3 minutes, it returned me to a worker. He was not helpful. He said he knew nothing about the department and it would take him 5 minutes to go and check for me. I asked for a supervisor and spoke to Claudia who was less helpful. She talked while I was explaining the matter. She curtly stated, What do you want. I said well, I would like to finish what I was relaying to you. She was not interested, could have cared less that I said I was sending a letter to the corporation. I might as well drive over to their competitor. At least there I get better treatment and people know their store. Worst and rudest employee, Josephine at the return counter. Needs a lot of training on dealing with the public and customers.Too many young and older angry people working at those stores! Somebody hire me to go undercover!! Its no wonder people dont want to shop their!
Recently purchasing a home that is only a few blocks from this Home Depot I am in there almost every day. Overall, good prices and excellent customer service.For those who are in a rush to get in and out I would ask for Noah if you need any type of customer assistance. I am not sure what department he actually specializes in but he has helped me numerous times not only finding items, but also giving great advice on how to tackle the complex improvement projects I have started. No matter if it is finding the right paint, light fixture, or a certain type of screw, to overhauling and redesigning my backyard he has always been very helpful!
John (from plumbing/home filtration systems) was amazing. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. He took his time to explain why we were having plumbing/home filtration issues and his help finally resolved our problem. Highly recommend this location and John if you need someone with experience.
Everything was great in the store until I got to the checkout. They Checker never spoke to me once other than when her boss walked up at the very end of the sale. She then handed me my receipt and said have a good day. That was it no conversation other than that like normal check out would be. Very disappointed in this checker
My AC went out about week in a half ago, but a kind lady online through a mutual friend bought me a 5000 BTU Toshiba Window Unit. I thought I was going to have a difficult time picking it up since I didnt buy it, but it was so easy. It is already starting to cool off in here. Thanks for the no hassle and easy curbside pickup
Looking for cabinets to complete my kitchen remodel. Been to other places. Went into this Home Depot to get a rough quote. I was not impressed, the first impression was the store is messy, crowded and everything is scattered. The sales person didnt seem to know how to do our cabinets ( the size and where to place them). We gave her a layout with measurements and she struggled. Didnt even offer a printout of the rough quote didnt even have everything included. Very disappointed, Ill be going to Lowes they did a better job at giving us a quote.
Love this place. Although I was a little confused as how they could only have one guy working the plumbing section and know nothing about plumbing. And bringing me wrong tools when I clearly point out the tool Im needing. Had to go back 3 times in 3 days for returns. But the ladies at returns was very nice and helpful. They also have a guy from will fix it running around asking about weatherizing your home. When I asked about my plumbing issue he said no.. they cant help you here but provided they give me the proper tools I could have fixed it sooner.
I had a great experience at this store. Jim Sampson was helpful, and even came up with a solution to my project that saved me $22 and the hassle of ordering expensive parts. I am so appreciative of his help, and I wish more employees were like him. He was thankful to other staff members on his team, and made sure the other employees who were waiting for help were taken care of even though he was helping me. Good job, Jim!
Use to come to this place alot till they open the Lowes on Austin hwy and I can see it hasnt changed as far as customer service. First prison I asked acted like I was interrupting his phone call when I asked him for help, What Do You Needis how I was greeted. So after following his bad directions,I asked another gentleman and guess what? Same experience, on his phone and looked at me with a grin like I was bothering him too! The only person that was helpful was the lady at the self pay lane, loaded the check out for me so I could get out quickly
I stood by the key station for about 5 minutes. No one came to help me. A worker walked past me, I screamed, Excuse me.He ignored me and walked past me.I finally walked up to him to ask if someone would help me copy a key. He said he would call someone and walked away.I waited for another 10 minutes, and finally left the store.No key, and a wasted ~15 minutes.
We purchased a washer/dryer from Home Depot and it was a nightmare - it arrived damaged and we had to be on the phone with LG and Home Depot back and forth for many hours trying to have someone fix it. Keep in mind this was an online purchase so it does not necessarily reflect this particular store but we were unable to post the review on Home Depot’s website. I think it is outrageous that they rejected our review on their website so I have came here to leave a review. Needless to say, don’t trust reviews on Home Depot’s website as they are filtered to their benefit.
Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had at a Home Depot. I went in to get a piece of wood for a project and I needed to get it cut down so I could fit it in my car. I went over and asked somebody to cut it who then redirected me to somebody that said they would call somebody to come cut it. Fast forward 10 minutes later and nobody had come. I ended up going to ask the same person 2 more times and nobody ever came. After 30 minutes of waiting for somebody to cut a piece of wood, I was running short on time and had to leave. The employees did not seem to care either. Would NOT recommend going to this location if you expect any type of decent customer service. Waste of my time.
Went in looking for 3 simple things. Walked past at least half a dozen employees and wasn’t acknowledged in the slightest. No nod, smile or verbal greeting. After asking an associate, I find the last item I need is on a blocked off aisle. I wait for about 10 minutes, then I ask the spotter how much time she thought they had left. She, obliviously annoyed, tells me how many more pallets they need to put up on the adjacent aisle. She asks me what I needed, I told her, she says nothing... so I leave. (Google needs to give a zero stars option)
Bad service I Waiting 45 minutes to buy a door, let the manager and 3 employees know, and no help, I do not recommend that store at all. Disposal of the store and it is not the first time I rent an insulation machine and they returned a vacuum cleaner deposit and they still get angry x complain
Went to Home Depot with the intent to purchase a new washer that day, and found the exact model we were looking for at the best price wed seen so far. Enter salesperson who immediately proceeds to criticize our selection, insisting that its poorly made and will go out in 1-2 years despite us telling her we have friends with this exact model who have had few problems over the span of 5 years. She counters with Well YOU KIDS just grew up with everything Samsung, so thats why you want this brand. We are not kids by any means, and this is not our first appliance purchase, but okay. I asked her what she suggests then. She says Maytag, specifically a model smaller and more expensive than the one were looking at, or another model that is also smaller but has an agitator. When she started explaining that agitator washers are the best and the government imposed water usage regulations caused the removal of the agitator we just thanked her and left. Never trying that again.Ended up scootin over to another big box competitor nearby and got the exact same washer with much better customer service and a better warranty for cheaper.Honestly this store isnt bad if you need something quick, common, or lumber. Weve had the best luck when we dont have to interact with salespeople.
I ordered a ring WIRED spotlight camera and received a return that was a battery pack camera. I went on my lunch break and went back to work unpacked the item only to find out there wasn’t a cord.I called to speak to a manager about the pick up merchandise I Received and the manager said “what about it” I said well there isn’t a power cord in the box with the camera, he said oh you don’t need one it’s a hardwire camera and then hung up. So I called ring to verify I was in the right and they determined I was,so here I go again calling Home Depot back. I get a second manager and explain the situation and she’s like well does it come with a power cord, yes it does. Well, I can’t help you with your pick up let me get you to another manager. This manager was the worst, she knows who she is very rude and hung up on me. When we were on the phone she was very argumentative and disrespectful and not caring that I just wasted my whole lunch break and had a horrible experience. I was told to go back and they would solve the issue IF IT HAS A POWER CORD OR NOT, so the swap went well after the employee asking the manager to get another one, She makes a face and I was like that was the manager that told me to come in and swap, she didn’t even acknowledge me or even a fake apology would’ve been good , if she hates her job that much she needs to quit or Home Depot needs to work on management training calls. Never again will I go to them. LOWE’S ALL THE WAY!!
I rented the truck from there very nice truck clean and fast whew!!!!! Hey had to get done under 72 minutes relax!!!!!! $20.00 bucks Wow a homeless guy wouldnt do it for that much lol very great price just make sure your insurance paper have correct date! Oh please please save your gas receipt they will over charge you for fuel if you dont have it!!!!!! I was back and forth there 3 times I end up burning up $20 dollars of my own gas smh! Oh 50.00 deposit.
Did find incredibly useful rubbermaid carryall (last 1 ) for wood polish, lysol spray, sponges, cleanser..really delighted with that..Love the Garden shop, unable to find aisle 30 something there - its listed, mo luck nk in locating plant fertilizer sticks..yes I had asked for employee assistance- smiling, she asearched then admitted She didnt find the aisle isle either!
Needed help in plumbing department. Asked for help from one of the employees standing in aisle for plumbing. After explaining what l was looking for, she indicated that plumbing was further down. I tried to find item I was looking for but was unable to locate it. Asked another employee to call someone to plumbing. Waited for an additional 20 minutes. No one showed up to the department... going to Lowes where I can get assistance.
I was ginuinely supprized to get helped when i go to these type places. I was helped by a young man , he even cared enough to call another associate when he couldnt help us. Home Depot has bulk hose that is about 10 feet, changing the price to 2.50 a foot instead of 7.75 a foot . Now what im saying is , that hose is now 22 dollars. Instead of the 82.50.Just ask yourself one question. If your hose splitts on your 100 dollar above ground pool, what would you rather replace it with. A 90 dollar hose after tax. Or 25.00 dollar hose. Tha exact same hose.Ill take the cheaper price. Thanks for selling bulk hoses.
I dislike going to home depot i feel the prices are. Outrageously inflated and if you want a better quality of life or try to earn a living they are gonna gouge you for it . thats why a switch plate i needed was over $5. And the hose for oven was $35. I understand they need to profit but they could make the price match the item
Awesome selection of all types lumber..plumbing..appliances..garden.All around a one stop do it all for all your home projects and repairs...highly reccomend because of good pricing and wonderful employees.especially one young man.Bryan went out of his way to help a senior citizen .so.polite young man..
Horrible Customer service. I ordered a range for a real estate project. It arrived dented. I refused delivery. Replacement range delivered 1 week later. Also dented. I called the store. Manager unavailable. Other person I was dealing with unavailable. NIGHTMARE dealing with this location. I am now on hold for 45 minutes trying to resolve situation.
I stopped because I needed to get someone to help me tie down some pallets I had on my truck...well this guy Josh that works in lumber... stopped what he was doing to help me...I am very grateful for Josh from lumber...I owe him lunch or something. That guy is very very professional and very very helpful because of him I made it to my destination. JOSH FROM LUMBER... I went to look at bar stools, but they didnt have any. Instead I saw an impressive collection of patio furniture. There was one particular set I took note of. Within a matter of minutes, I saw a similar set for $100 more. Chances are I will be back to buy it at Home Depot.
About a month ago my husband went into this store and wen thru selfchckout and ask for $50 cash back he was on a hurry he forgot the $50 at the register when he came back it was gone when he talk to the person there they took his name and number and said they would look into it. When he call me he said that the lady told him the person behind him took the money but he ask if there was something he could do the lady said no and hang up the phone. Thats when I called the store and asked to speak to the store manager she stated that she did no remember this incident and she was going to passed it on to the person that checks the cameras but that it was nothing they could do and very rudely said to me it was your husbands fault for leaving the money at the register. I told her I understood that part but I was just asking since we didnt know the procedures or if there was anything else we should do she just responded no if your thinking were gonna pay you the $50 were not.First of all that was rudesecond of all that was not my questionsince I got upset because of the fact that she thinks that I am here calling her to pay me $50 I wasnt but we were never been in that situation so I didnt know.Than I call corporate to complain about the unprofessionalism on there management and they are exactly the same. Corporate explain that they would check the cameras and see who toom the money than call us back but nothing has happen.This is the most horrible customer service store I have ever received and dont bother calling home office they dont care about anything tha happen in there stores they will just refer you back to there store manager and tell you they will give you a call back. Here I am a month later and have not received a call from the store or home office.
Home Depot is one of my favorite stores! Oh that sweet smell of lumber... love it! We went last Saturday for their monthly free kids workshop . Weve attended several locations in north central San Antonio for this event. However, this is the first time they gave the kids a snack and a drink after they finished their project... so nice! Its always fun bringing them for a kid friendly DIY project. Its held the first Saturday of the month starting at 9 am. Its typically an easy wood working project that they get to paint. Once your child finishes their masterpiece, they get a certificate and a pin that they get to put on their kids apron (free apron provided by Home Depot). Its really a great way to spend family time!
Home Depot employee accused my father of stealing in public, and when he showed him the receipt, my father demanded a simple verbal apology, instead the childish cashier rudely laughed at him, an old hard working honest man. He refused to give an apology, and kept laughing. Humiliated my father for doing nothing wrong, and we will never be visiting a home depot ever again.
Still the worst home depot with some of the most uneducated employees Ive ever experienced. Went in and asked the associate at the customer service if they price matched and showed her the item on my phone from Walmart. She said, yes sir, no problem. Went and retrieved my products and went to cashier that was rude and told me I was lying because she doesnt know if walmart has the product available. I pull up the stores price match policy and it includes photos. Will never shop at this location again, and I know employees are allowed to discount up to 50 dollars.
Staff a little inattentive. I walked around with a piece of all thread trying to find a way to cut it. I decided to just use the bolt cutters in the hand-tools isle and I got gripes at a little bit. Was like, hey guy, notice me lost before you notice me doing something wrong? Ah well.
Every single employee I encountered was the even less helpful than the last. I asked a single gentleman where a certain item was and he said We dont sell them anymore. I replied that I had seen them last time I was here, so Home Depot does,in fact, sell them. He replies Well Im only here to consulte on counter top surfaces, I dont really work in the store. So he gave me store information without genuinely knowing what he was talking about. I asked him to take us to another employee who said Oh yeah someone just bought all of those. Really? Every single one?By the time my husband found it in store, I had already ordered it on Amazon with free one day shipping.Thanks Amazon!
This is the worst Home Depot in the world! I had to make an appointment with a clerk and still had to wait when I got there. No one was in the department. When I shop there I have to hunt down a clerk who is usually standing talking to other clerks. I dont think they care if they sell any merchandise . I think either the manager needs to be fired or just close the store. I WILL NEVER BE BACK! !!
If could put less stars like -1000 million I would. I come to compare prices a different Home Depots and Im walking to aisle to look at something and all of a sudden all these workers and security guard come to watch me I cant even shop in comfortability and as Im walking up to the workers there just all staring at me so I asked them are you busy can you help me and shes like oh you need some help like WTF, I tell her yes and she just looks at me all mean then when I tell her what my problem is she just looks up the item price real quick and says no no its not on sale its regular price.I know they are doing their job but dont come and judge me because the way I look!I buy what I need ,I DONT steal.The only nice lady was the one who helped me in the direction of the item I was looking for,, thank you lady.The rest of you can get lost.And then the rent-a-cop follows me outside goes to his vehicle to drive around or end his shift. Thought he was gnna catch some1 today😂😂, try again mofo. And yes Im in the parking lot writing this right now @ 5:43pm.You lost a customer because of YOUR JUDGING.ITS the home depot in Sunset.
I went to go get a car key made and when they told me they dont have the key in stock I drove across town after having to call the store myself to find out if they have it. I get there and they inform me I actually need a different type of keys and they were able to check on their computers to show this location had the key in stock of making me call them myself so I drive all the way back where they refuse to make the right key. There was a $55 difference in key prices. Very rude and unhelpful.
I had the worst experience today. After picking up an online order I went to the self checkout lane to pick up a drink. While purchasing my drink an older Hispanic woman working came up and just started going through my things without any word. I told her that I had just picked up the items at the counter and she then rudely said Well I need to go through it and left it at that. I have NEVER had an employee so rudely come up to me and just start going through my things without giving me any notice as to what they were doing. I dont know if she did this because I am a young adult or because I was dressed down today or what but I am very dissappointed and hope to never interact with this employee again.
Went today spur of the moment for Ortho Home Defense Refill size 1.33 gallons.Then I saw a Xmas Tree for sale. Lady employee RIGHT AWAY helped me to find the correct Man employee to help me. If I see them again I will recognize them, but never got their names. He knew right away about the Xmas Trees. Immediately went with me to view the floor model and knew that was the last one. Ok....Im going to buy it, but as always the stores dont keep the original boxes. So some other men were clearing out all Christmas section and I saw an empty big box and asked him to please get it for me. He was not rude and simply complied with my request. I thought that would be it and he would leave. He not only stayed and pulled the 3 sections apart....he arranged them in the box as best he could. The bottom of the box was not taped closed just folded which I mentioned to him. Again I figured He would leave me now after all he put it in the box, but he didnt. This kind man dragged that box foot by foot to the cashier and waited with me. We checked out...then he put it on a flatbed dolley and lifted it into my suv and proceeded to criss cross taping the bottom of that box to give it the needed support. Wow! He could have stopped there or so many times b4, but I am very THANKFUL that he continued to help me. I am 63 and today have a body feeled with pain, but he didnt know that. I thought the store was busy, but he said it wasnt. But heres the thing...either way this man made my life so much easier and more pleasant today and I will NEVER forget it. With employees like that at Home Depot it will continue to be a place where I will shop and recommend highly. (And this was NOT a man that liked to talk. He barely said a word.)
Heard more about employees personal life than help... Everyone is gathered together and when I came to asked questions... I would get a cold back and act like a I was ruining a conversation.My advice, unless you dont need any help Id go to another store.Worse customer service!!
Horrible customer service. Was treated like a nuisance when I wanted to find something I had come across town because another store had told me it was in stock here. I ended up having to find it myself then had to deal with the huffs and puffs and attitude from the workers as they had to get it down. It was like pulling teeth. The whole ordeal took over an hour for one item.On top of that half the womens bathroom does not work from the sinks to the hardware on the stalls. Shameful for a hardware store and when I mentioned it they just shrugged it off like the inability to close a bathroom door in a public place is no big deal.
Chris was able to help our cub scouts cut and design our pinewood Derby cars. He gave us tips how to make the car fast and showed us what tools to use and how they work. The boys loved it and we learned a lot while having a great time. Thank you Home Depot and a big thank you to Chris.
Tried to talk to someone today about custom plantation shutters. Gabby was paged twice and never showed up. After waiting 30 minutes I had to look for a manager. When Gabby showed up she answered I dont know for every simple question. I made her print a quote and left. She ran back to the break room. I found most of my answers online but customer service was horrible here.

2021-11-05I have been a customer of Home Depot a long time. I like many shoppers are a small business owner that makes frequent trips for tools and products. I also use their tool rental service. I recently rented out a large 35ft boom lift with a hefty $375 a day price tag. When we started using it we immediately found out it had a big leak. With equipment such as that any issue with the equipment can be very dangerous. I took pictures and video to prove the issue. So we put the machine away and continued to work without it. Being behind on work and already having too many issues to deal with I did not have time to immediately return the lift. I brought the machine back the very next morning at opening. At that time I was told that I could not get a refund for their faulty equipment. When I asked why I was given a number of excuses that didn’t make sense. I had a copy of my contract and showed them I did exactly what I was supposed to do. They yelled at me and made up fake policies that were not in the contract to screw me over. If I had broken the agreement I would have understood, but I followed every rule as written and signed. Because of their faulty equipment I lost my contract and was out of the job and more money. This is one example of how Home Depot tool rental cheats their customers. I see people inside all the time with issues that Home Depot does nothing to resolve. If you value your hard earned money take your business somewhere else. If you have had a similar experience please share. I would like to have just spoke with someone who could look at my problem and obviously see a major issue, But every person told me there was nothing they could do.(Attached is a picture of the leak. Any person with any sense will say that that is an obvious liability when dealing with heavy equipment.)

2022-06-23This particular Home Depot is on Sunset Road near 281 but more accessible from Jones-Maltsberger in either direction from 281.As big box hardware stores go, this Home Depot seems a little better than other big box hardware stores in our area when it comes to customer assistance. Specifically, my golf coach told me to go to Home Depot or Lowes to purchase a reflector stick to help me with my golf swing.(I will not explain here.) I had no idea what aisle I would find a reflector stick and wandered down three or four aisles until an employee, who was on a ladder stacking boxes, asked if I was finding what I needed.He could have easily ignored me while I was passing him. When I told him I had no idea where to find reflector sticks, he directed me to the aisle that carries mail boxes and reflective adhesive numbers. It turned out this Home Depot had plenty of reflector sticks in yellow and orange, which have reflective tape and could be used near driveways or anywhere headlights are used.Additionally, this Home Depot is a little smaller than other Home Depots Ive shopped. One advantage is that the public restrooms are at the front of the store than way down behind the lumber department!Update June 23, 2022. I went to this Sunset Road Home Depot today to buy some Zevo, which is a people & pet friendly insect killer spray, especially useful during this horrible drought in San Antonio which encourages cockroaches to enter plumbing and homes seeking water.But the main reason for writing this review is for an off-duty sales associate named, Rich, who made a truck key for me when I requested assistance from another associate. I say, off duty because he wasnt on the clock yet or in uniform, but Home Depot obviously has an arrangement with him. Whatever the arrangement, it works: just as I went to make my payment, he was helping another customer with her keys. Thats why I upgraded my review from 4 to 5 stars.I dont know how all reviewers feel about big orange or blue box hardware stores, but this particular Home Depot seems to do it right.

2022-06-05Its a good store for finding the things that you need, but its not by any means the service that you used to have when going into Home Depot. People used to be so helpful at Home Depot I used to have to try to avoid eye contact if I didnt need help. Now I have to search somebody out for help and when I find them, theyre not usually helpful or happy to be there. Miss the old days.

2022-03-08I was shopping for a under the cabinet range hood, I saw a total of three employees in the area of appliances stoves , refrigerators etc . One man sitting down at a desk by the kitchen remodeling section that looked like he wished he was somewhere else instead. Not one even acknowledged me much less offered any assistance. I finally asked an older lady but she didnt seem too eager to help , she did point at the products I was looking for and no more. So I decided it was probably better to order on line or try Lowes. I bought a plant and the lady at the self checkout did greet me, right when Im leaving. I used to work retail for many years, I have no idea what happened to customer service anymore Poor score

2022-05-07That’s a good store, have multiple offers for the project you want to do, multiple ranges of prices so you can evaluate which price is good for your project. They have options if you want to buy bulky or just what you need. For tools they also have many brands, so you may compare. I am good going the store also shopping online.

2022-07-21I never had one issue with this location, not one, until tonight on July 20th 2022 this is my third time tonight going to return next to my items the first time my ID wouldnt take it second time the employee had informed me have somebody help you make your sisters wife someone with an ID thatll work so I got my wife to come and help will write again well get it and then they told me that they wouldnt be able to do anything because the items were it was too much money to get back cuz I paid in cash its going to get three seats come back they can help me cant do anything with that receipt its understandable well tonight July 20th 2022 my wife had found the receipt I went back and they told me they could not do nothing with the receipt because they couldnt read the transaction number we can see everything else but the number management said cant help me Im sorry nothing I can do. Its $200 with an items and he told me well thats not my problem theres no way for management to talk to any customer at all no matter what industry youre in it is always something up in management can do Shannon command so I left my items there told me back in the morning to talk to you his boss or whatever Tony come back with your seat go back and receipt still cant do nothing please if Im in the wrong let me know if you understand let me know as well and comment on this post will be thankful but Ruben imagine did not help me for nothing it was not his problem.

2022-07-22Rich in lumber was extremely helpful, taking time to help us cut lumber though he was on forklift and customer duty. He came back for us after noting our need to help cutting and was very precise in checking that the measurements were right on. Props!

2022-07-06I’ve been going to this location since Covid started and I’m disappointed in the customer service. There’s no one that helps you with anything. They have a bunch of employees always huddled together talking. You ask for someone to come to a certain isle and they never show up. They even have a team of two block off isles to put up back stock. I had to wait like 30 minutes one time to get into a certain isle because the pallet they where trying to put up kept getting stuck on the top shelf. Why can’t they do that when the store is closed?? I had one employee refuse to get something for me on the ladder and said I couldn’t use the ladder to get it myself. So I had to go get someone else to get it for me. It seems like the only ppl that help are the older gentlemen and the ppl in the paint department.

2022-03-31This home Depot was my favorite location. The employees are always awesome and its well maintained. But the customer service over the phone stinks they pass you around an just repeat same process an even laugh about itI was returning an item over heard them talking about how long they think the person on the phone will wait. So everything about this home Depot is awesome except the over the phone customer service.. need to boost up an help the customers more than yall wonder why they come in mad and yelling?
