The Home Depot in other cities:
If you need a appliance delivered I’d suggest going elsewhere. Home Depot is supposed to give us a call that they are 30 minutes away from the delivery and that never happened. Me and my fiancé work in office so we were relying on that call to be available at the house. And once we called to notify them we never received a call their support team constantly put us on hold. Very unhelpful. This is my first and last time purchasing appliances from Home Depot.
So I looked online for a item online says it had nine in stock so I ordered a item 30 minutes later I get a email stating that the store does not have the item in stock so now it’s gonna take 3 to 5 days to get my money back so I called another Home Depot close to my house they have 10 in stock so now I have to wait 3 to 5 days to get my money back to go buy the items that I need it today they online is not accurate at all so it’s best just to call or go to the store Home Depot Bandera store in San Antonio Texas their online is not accurate at all
I have to say that Home Depot is not always my first pick of the obvious two. However, everytime I go to the location at Culebra and 1604, the staff, associates, and managers are always very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. Unfortunately, its not always the case at some other locations. I am a handyman, own the business and I am at mercy of who is the closest and or most convenient location for whatever hardware store is available that has what I need. There are that I dread and those I enjoy and this HD is a great example of what I prefer and other HD locations should do their training of all new hires, from the top down at this location to get the opportunity to see how is should at all locations. Kudos HD Culebra and 1604, you keep my faith in what customer care should be.
Upon purchasing four concrete pieces, marked on the shelf as $4.28 but rang up at 5.28, I told the cashier of the problem. They said they could do NOTHING for me…that I would have to go to customer service. I told him that I just needed him to tell someone…and why should I have to all the way across the store for them to fix something. He said he couldn’t do anything…not even call someone to fix the system or change the price on the shelf….just go to customer service and not take my anger out on him. Thanks Brandon!—-not!After loading my truck and taking the cart back and walking half the length of the store, customers service voided my purchase and charged the correct price.I ask you, how did this become my problem to fix.Beware of what rings up versus what is marked on the shelf. I wonder how many others have paid $1 more than marked price and never caught it?I know this seems like a lot about nothing but it’s not so much about the $1 as it is the attitude that it’s not my problem—it’s on you! Move along and go to customer service if you want it fixed.Customer service did say they would take care of it after I asked. She even wrote down the code. This makes me question everything I buy there now…but the good thing is there is a Lowe’s right across the street.
I have spend over an hour and half to speak to the person who has a strong accent that so difficult to understand. Trying to fix the Christmas Tree and was told that the tree would be replaced but the tree they have were out of stock. They tried to find other tree to match also were out of stock. Then I requested to speak to supervisor and no luck to speak with them because they cannot answer and will call back. They haven’t. Home Depot warranty is NOT guaranteed! Couldn’t get gift card to replace a tree that I could pick for equal cost. I will never buy warranty at Home Depot. Warranty means guaranteed and they simply don’t do that. Terrible!
Drove twenty miles from the first Home Depot to pick up a 15 AMP breaker which was out of stock at the first store. The Associate in Electrical assured me that #2 store had a least (4) Eaton Cutler breakers in stock. In fact, I was told upon arrival a half hour later that they also have been sold out for some time.
Not very different from other home depot stores. All you could ever need for you construction job. Whether you be a licensed professional or DIYer. Assistance is still kind of hard to get, probably because the place is so huge and staffing not so much. That could also be a hit or miss. If you find someone to help you, they are either the kind who will be giving you the barest minimal of help or someone at the other extreme who will stay with you till you find what everything you need. Check out is easy. No, they dont take your temperature, no, they dont require masks. Most of the employees do, so maybe take a hint and be kind? Youre doing yourself a favor as well since the place is so dusty my allergies act up when Im in there.
Just watched the clerk be totally rude to the guy in front of me at the self checkout line. I was not at all surprised when he left the merchandise at the checkout counter before the transaction was finished. I told her her that I would be doing the same, as she needs a lesson in the power of the consumer. I wished her a good day and started to leave when she interjected with a snotty “Have a nice day!” I said “I will now”. I then went to the other home improvement store down the street and purchased from them. That’s now 2 lost customers for the price of one; great job rude lady at the checkout you earned a BOGO!
Bought a generator here and it leaked gas from the carburetor … tried to return it and was told I couldn’t return it with oil in it. They said I had to return it the store at Alamo ranch … here they said I couldn’t return it unless oil was drained . Turn out people at tool rental said that I can return it at any store as long theirs not fuel in it… Home Depot needs to train customer service department so customers aren’t going back and forth on wrong freaking advice…. Thanks for nothing…, bad customer service….
Home depots out with great, rezaul was everything I need at a reasonable price. Not to mention staffers usually around when you need them. However there not might I suggest you just pretend like your stealing stuff come off course or not but it gets their attention And youll have some assistance in no time. Security isle 6 lumber! Happy shopping
Here is what happened: I asked for a piece of wood with precise measurements, they cut it, I paid and left. Only to realize the wood was cut wrong even though I gave precise measurements written on a paper to be crystal clear! I got back to the store for return. The supervisor of the cashier said the following: how would they know if I didnt cut it at home more. He added that the policy is I have to check the measurements before I pay.So when you go to home depot bring a measuring tape in pocket and check if they did their job right!I wonder whats wrong with these people? Why would you loose a costumer and be rude for something thats worth a few bucks?
Horrible customer service at the pro desk. Person does not know what theyre doing and then was extremely rude when I wanted to speak with someone that at least knew the material they were selling me. Train your employees better to at least know what theyre selling. I will never shop at this location.
The crew in flooring are awesome!! I think I’ve dealt with every one of them. I’ve been going every other day for a week now. From day one, I asked a question and they were happy to answer and they ran with it as if they were having fun. They kept me at ease and confident in accomplishing my project. Thank you
Assistant manager Darrell this morning could not resolve a return on a Honda lawnmower. While purchased 40 days ago and only used once. I was not given to opportunity to just swap it out. All paperwork and recipes were available. The day before I called your store to ask about the return process and was told it could not be returned but a store credit could be given. This unit was clean as I have a very small yard.I told to remove gas and oil and bring it in. As a senior citizen this was very difficult. I explained the issue to Darrell and what I was told to do . Darrell And the person I spoke to last night represents a lack of knowledge and understanding towards taking care of its customers. I have purchased many items over the past 10 plus years and very disappointed. This was an opportunity for Home Depot take take care of its customers lockdown some loyalty. But failed.
The customer service was amazing. I asked a random person with an apron to open up a locked up item and he was nice enough to do it. Knowing it wasnt his department. Everyone here is super young and good looking. Super hot and young employees and respectful. I came for paint and everyone was just super nice. Will be coming back even tho its a drive for me.
Home Depot didnt have the exact plumbing part I needed this evening -- and thats Ok. They simply cannot carry every single part for every single appliance. We should all understand this fact.BUT, the HD employee i asked to help me was quite possibly the rudest HD person Ive ever encountered. Wow! We all have bad days, but that guy didnt have to share.
I visited this store recently. I had an old part with me that needed to get replaced. I walked in and ran into an employee by the name of Nakal. His customer service was EXCELLENT! Shout out to him for caring about a girl that looked completely lost and didnt know what she was doing or where she was going. I appreciate you Nakal.
Home Depot is where I go when I need any kind of DIY things for projects or if I’m fixing something at home on my own. Sometimes employees can be helping 3 people at once so the app comes in handy it tells you the aisle location any product they carry you just have to type the name of it in the search bar. Overall good hardware store.
Everyone in this store is clueless, flooring project was a nightmare. You will have to do all follow up, place multiple calls, material will never be pulled for pallet unless you explain what that means to untrained people, errors left and right and you’ll have to push to keep things moving. Check your unboxed material too. I had to do everyone’s job and yet pay them. No one is trained and favorite words are “I don’t know”. Obvious leadership is not existent and almost every employee will be on their phone. Call center for customer care will promise a discount when job is done and than your case manager will ignore emails and calls at complete job (scammer style). Don’t do floors from here, they just use local flooring companies anyways for install. Flooring installers acknowledged my experience is common and they hear it all the time.
A very helpful sales person (amazingly, one was available) tried to find a repair part for an item I bought at HD. Turns out repair part is on line only with delivery a week out. I sort of think that repair implies something is broken or not working. Waiting a week is not a viable option for most repairs.
This is a good sized HD store. The floor staff are helpful. The store is well organized and the shelves are usually stocked. Occasionally you run into a delay at checkout line but it still a reasonable checkout experience.AC filters are one area that can be hit and miss. Certain popular sizes are available one trip but not the next trip.
Whatever you do don’t buy the Replacement plan, nothing but run around from Home Depot warranty department and Ryobi. Save your money and just buy a new product from Lowe’s. The plan is not a replacement plan, but a scam, it says Replacement but it is an extension of the warranty after the warranty ends. Most manufacturers cover defects from the product not from usage “which they consider neglect, and is usually 1-5 years. So the Home Depot replacement plan kicks in after those 5 years. 🤦🏻♂️ Not to mention the attitude from the service department in both Home Depot and Ryobi. I might have to take this up with the attorney general in my state. Sickening!!

2022-05-01Theres all kinds of things at home Depot. Half the time I go into the store for a specific item and end up with something completely different! Then I get to go back and get what i forgot. Okay, maybe Im not that bad. The people there were helpful and I usually find what I need.

2022-07-10Good location, well-stocked, even these days. Clean. Easy self-check-out with support if you need it. If you buy heavy stuff, they can generally get someone to help carry it out within two to five minutes. However, it is not always easy to find someone to point you in the right direction or answer a basic question while in the aisles...today I asked the greeter if there were any other brands of salt for the water softening system we just purchased (there were some off-brand bags right in the entrance at a good price!) and she said, Yes, we do have a couple of other brands on Aisle 20, at the end. When I got there, all I found were giant rolls of insulation. Not even close! And it is frequently the case that we cannot find help in the aisles, or even at the major stations where you might want info on appliances or cabinetry, or even want to order some large ticket items.I initially wanted to give this store just 2 stars due to lack of personnel on the floor, and especially well-trained personnel, but I have been coming here for a year and they have been advertising to hire staff all that time. If they could get more people, and good people, this would be a great store...but it seems they are struggling to find anyone at all qualified. I give this store 3 stars because it is clean, well-stocked, has help at the self-check-out lanes... I feel they are trying, but just dont have the personnel to elevate the consumer experience.

2022-04-25Great store, great prices. Employees very helpful, some are, some are not. Even at check-out, not too many registers open. Unless they see a long line of customers, then more registers are open. Great garden dept, yet prices a little high, especially for Seniors on a budget & be careful, theres always lots of puddles of water, there. Otherwise garden very colorful, with all of blooming plants.

2021-09-09Came in for flooring that arrived last week and was told that it was on top of the pallets they have stacked and that they can’t get to it today. There’s workers just there standing in the back talking. No movement for the last 30 minutes. You got to come up with better excuses. We are also waiting for customer service in the electrical area 43 . The associate was called 3 times and no show. Is there only one person that can help in this whole store? It’s been 45 minutes now.

2022-04-03Large selection. Many knowledgeable associates but it is somewhat uneven. prices are generally good to competitive. The only notable exception Is hard wood and hard wood panels where they are high. Parking is more than ample. The have a military discount program. The phone app is pretty good. Like their paint and paint products.

2022-06-07After being my go-to for years, this was my last visit. Horrible experience. I was have trouble finding an item, asked a staff member for assistance. The first one told me their were two possible locations and started to direct me back to the aisle had had been up and down a couple of times and didnt see it. I thought I would save us both time and said Im sorry, I already looked on that aisle, where might the other place be? Well, that didnt go over well. She responds loudly, as I was saying if you go to aisle 8, make a left AR the orange cones. Then she went back to stocking the shelf. I asked her where the second location is where I might find it. She just ignored me, so u found someone else. The second staff member had no idea what I was looking for, even after I pulled up the home depot website and showed it to him. He basically followed me around until I found it myself. Unfortunately it was only sold as a kit, so I just bought a couple of brackets to accomplish the same thing as the part I needed. However, as I went to put the kit back on the shelf the employee grabbed it out of my hand and started asking me about it and how to install it. I didnt have time to explain the basics of a bi-fold door to a grown man that works in a hardware store. Went to Lowes, night and day difference in friendliness and competence.

2022-03-28Pretty poor staff management, badly kept/organized. Very unfortunate given how well maintained most home depots are. Would recommend some leadership change to facilitate a better experience for customers and avoid brand degradation. If you need recommendations, Alamo Heights is much better managed.

2022-04-01I went in the store to place an order and was told it would go out the following day and it is now day four and I cant get a hold of anybody in the store on the phone. This is the second time they had issues and never called me to explain. You physically have to go there to be told, sorry. Really..??.. Please communicate and do your best to stick to what you tell us; we base our jobs on the materials being on site.

2022-03-22Good store unless you need help. Sometimes you get perfect assistance from a knowledgeable employee and sometimes you get a zombie look and no help at all.....but I guess this happens at every store. Always well stocked. I recommend it.
