The Home Depot in other cities:
One of the main reasons I enjoy going to this store is they display the sheds prominently. Ive gone to 3 other Home Depots and they dont display the sheds like I need to see them. The service was also good and I liked that they have self checkout lanes and also have electronic payment so I was able to use my phone to tap and go.
Gazebo needs winterizing 12x12 octagon. Had to shop online and in store to set it up. Got foam board, duct tape, a heater and electrical supplies for under $200. Was sooo easy to put up.R-Tech 4x8 1/4 inch $8.38 ea.Comfort Zone Industrial Portable Heater 240v 20amp 4800w 16,378btus $71.99 online special, saved nearly $50, pick up in storeI bought wrong cover for electrical, but will exchange for correct. Never have a problem with that.
Ive been a big customer here over the last 10 years, with a pro account and all. Its gotten less rewarding, the customer service has gotten worse and worse with large will call and pickup orders, and the final straw is having returned some left over material from a job with proof of purchase and I had to take store credit because my cc had been stolen recently so they couldnt return the money to my account and didnt offer cash back. I didnt think this was an issue until I tried to use the significant amount of money on a large item that is only sold on homedepot.com and I was told I couldnt use my store credit toward the purchase. Michael the customer experience manager matter-of-factly let me know there was nothing that could be done. I am over this place. At least Lowes has a discount for using their pro credit account.
They need to turn off curbside if they can’t keep up with it. Called twice to let them know that I am waiting and Ms. Cydnie hung up both times saying she is busy with a customer. Went inside and there was no one at pickup counter. Saw someone walking by and he said he is bringing out the order now. Went back in car, only to see him bringing it to another car that just came and parked. Pathetic staff and wven worse service.
My faith has been restored in great customer service still exists. Every visit and encounter with the Wylie, TX location is amazing. The store is always clean, employees are fantastic and knowledgeable.I would like to give a huge shout out to Kaitlyn Sullivan in the paint department at Home Depot in Wylie, TX. The above and beyond helpful actions could not go unreported. She was able to find prior paint colors I purchased years ago as well as match colors to an pre-owned home. She is amazing with an amazing attitude. Its very apparent she loves her job and helping people. I felt my needs were important to her. Thank you Kaitlyn and thank you Home Depot for the GREAT hire.
Good times versus bad time is probably 70% and 30% 70% of the time I can find what I need quickly and be out of the store or I can find someone who can guide me straight to the product to save some time (tho its actually home depots policy for the employees not the point in the direction but to take you to it) did a 30% of the time I asked them about a specific item and they point to the shelf and say Right here is all we got. No to mention, many times over Ive been here to get a drill bit or a tool that was not on the shelves and their response was Well were out of stock then. Magically, behold theres a box full of more products in the overhead bin. There is no effort to look on the computer that they carry with them and even then if they did, how many it says they have in stock is rarely accurate. System shows 7 on hand and they have 0. in some departments it has gotten better since my Original review. For example, in plumbing there is a guy name Mike. He is awesome. He is patient, listens to you and then gets creative if there isnt a specific fitting in stock he will come up with other arrangements to find you a solution. The only reason why I am hesitant to give out that 5th star is because the Customer Service/Returns desk never really shows a sense of urgency to get the customer taken care of and on their way when there is like 6 other people in line. All too often if I am there for a return it could be peak time of day and they will only have 1 returns register and associate and have 4+ people in line waiting for what seems like forever and a day. Improvements are gradually being made. I will close with that. GREAT JOB Mike (in Plumbing keep up the good with sir!)**UPDATE**ON HAND Inventory for in demand items still arent accurate or they are NOT increasing the amount they order when restocking a lot of drill bits and spray paints.
No help to be found anywhere. When you do see someone, they try to avoid customers, by looking busy or acting like they didnt hear you. We were looking for a particular screw (out of the zillions they have). We told them we knew they had it, we had bought them there years before. The guy said, Oh! We dont have those. Then turned around to help someone else. So we looked online, found them & it told us where in the store to find them. Had a whole unit of different sized ones. I helped another customer in the same aisle (next to the non-busy employee), after she said, I could use a taller person to reach these. Seeing that the employee couldnt be bothered, I asked grabbed a few different items & asked which one she wanted. Then said, good help is soo hard to find these days, isnt it? And she said, it sure is! Disgusting that some people, who have no work ethic, can get a job, and others, whom are more than qualified, cant find one. Seems like home depot could use a good dose of restructuring of their employees. Or some type of compensation as in commission pay.
Nobody here is willing to help. Ive come here multiple times and every time I need assistance (either finding a piece of material or a tool) no one seems to want to help. They say they have someone on their way but every time, I wait 20 minutes or more. If you go here and ask for help to get a product thats above their shelves, just get their ladder and get it yourself, theyre too busy talking among themselves to pay any attention.
We went here looking for a new door and storm door. As soon as we entered the door and window area we were greeted by Kyle. Kyle helped us select the perfect door and storm door. His customer service was above and beyond!! Kyle was extremely knowledgeable about doors and gave us some great advice. He even showed us where other products were we needed. If you are looking for a door ask for Kyle. In addition, we had shopped several Home Depot’s near by looking for the perfect door. Every time it’s the same- hands down, the Wylie location has the best customer service of all Home Depot stores near by.
I have yet to walk in this store and have someone approach me and ask if am finding everything I need! I have never been to a Home Depot that that didnt do that. Its almost impossible to get help here and it takes forever waiting for help. Several different occasions Ive watched workers standing around chit chatting and NOT giving the customer service Ive always know HD to give! Wylie, TX store.
I only give them 4 stars, because they wont mark their plants down. Instead, they send them back to where ever.Other than that, I love Home Depot! I shop there regularly for my own little projects. They normally have what I need. Its not very often, that something is out of stock.
Jamie Jones was so sweet lady she help us my online order “Always have a willing hand to help someone, you might be the only one that does. She was friendly and nice to us she take time we was not in the rush to get my order fast she is the friendly Department Supervisor in The Home Depot in Wylie TX thank you so much help me Mrs. Jamie Jones
Spent about 3 hours at this location buying various things. Everything was great except a couple rude employees. One in the paint dept was very rude and condescending towards my wife when she asked questions. The girl at the checkout counter was great and redeemed it for the other employees.
Last Tuesday my boyfriend, my mother and I came to the location for a hot water heater. We chose a model and requested assistance the employee then informed us of the benefits of a similar model but listened when we didnt want the extravagant fancy model and helped us find a happy medium. More benefits and the right cost. He helped in removing it from the top shelf and escorted us tp check out. Thank you to Mr.IAN ALBERTO. (I hope you enjoy your new puppy.)
I’ve been shopping at wylie location for over 10 yrs now. Lately their customer service has been horrible to say the least. I have numerous bad experiences with wylie location, after giving it a thought the blame should be on the regional managers and the executives. They know what’s going on, they read these reviews, you would think they care because it may affect their paychecks and bonus. They store managers pretend like they’re busy so they won’t have to help customer find an item but if they have one of the regional manager is there they walk are asking if customers need help. They inventory system and what’s on the shelf doesn’t match. They’re policy is not to point where an item is but to actually take you to it. The whole store needs a visit from the regional manager. There are honest and helpful employees I know and they agree that they’re system is lacking and it really is not up to the employees but managers just don’t care.
Edit: Updating this review to 5 stars. Ive been pleasantly surprised with the employees and managers.. I hope they keep up the good work!Overall a good place thats not as busy as some Home Depots Ive been in. The store carries good stuff at good prices too. My biggest complaint is that less than 1/2 of the employees know what theyre talking about and can give you bad advice. If you ask anyone for help (at this Home Deport or any) and the first thing they do is start to read the product description, its time to move on. You yourself likely know how to read the back of a product and usually (for me at least) the question Im asking is something beyond what the label explains. If Home Depot could do one thing to improve customer experience, its to make the department employees more knowledgeable... at least on their one department.
Reliable store usually. Has what I need most if time. Just sold me gazebo with 5 missing parts. Still waiting for parts to come through. Its past the time and rep did not call me back when he said he would. And he has not returned my two calls to him.A while back, sold me a microwave with a dent in it. Noticed it right after they installed it but I did not report it at the time.
If you like to shop ahead and make sure the item you are needing is available, dont shop here! I even placed an online order, was notified that the order was ready for pickup, drove to get it and was told the item was never in stock!!! What?!?!? Customer service is always backed up and takes forever to help out. Inventory levels seem to be off at this store. If you want to get the items you need in one trip, drive the few extra miles and go to another location!
Online stock status is just bogus. Wasted my time on multiple occasions seeing something was in stock only to have order canceled or worse I drive up to the store only to find and empty shelf spot and being told they dont have any. Other than that customer service is okay.
They do try. I really cant complain. Every time a mistake is made they fix it. It is a very busy location, too. I appreciate all the extra effort customer service is putting in. Home Depot seems to be leading the way when it comes to safe shopping experiences during the pandemic.
Last week I had trouble ordering online and applying my tax exemption. I called the store directly (since it said the Wylie store had plenty in stock) to order two buckets of paint for pick-up and asked for customer service. When customer service picked up I told them what I wanted and they immediately transferred me to the paint department. The paint department confirmed they had the paint and told me I would need to speak with customer service about paying for it over the phone to have someone else come pickup (which I already knew but customer service wouldnt let me explain it before transferring me to the paint department). When customer service picked up I told them I needed to pay for it and have someone else come pick it up. They told me they couldnt help me unless I had an account. I told them I do have an account and a registered tax exemption, and they refused to let me pay for it over the phone. I asked to speak with the manager. The manager finally answered and told me he was with another customer and that I should speak with customer service to check out. I told him they would not let me check out over the phone and thats why I asked to speak with him. He told me Id have to wait till he was done with the other customer before he could help me. I waited for 24 minutes before the phone cut off with the manager never coming back on the line. All told it took approx. 45 minutes to get the paint paid for to be picked up. I had to call the online help to get the paint ordered. I plan to avoid working with this Home Depot as much as possible due to their lack of customer service and advise others do the same.
There is a very large RAT that runs rampant in the outdoor tool section. I havent been back since I ran out of the store after seeing it. Thats ashame because I do a lot of DIY projects and it is conveniently 2 miles from my home. I hope that they will consider weekly exterminators. Im too afraid to ever return.
This is the best Home Depot within 50 miles. I work in construction and this store has paint, tools and materials others nearby do not. Just left and was asked several times not just if I needed help, but just how my day was going. Sometimes its the small things that make a big difference.
Lots of people in plumbing. The employee was doing great helping customers with all the plumbing questions, but the MOD on duty should HV placed more employees to help him answer customers questions. Sad to think they dont plan ahead, or the MOD could of helped him. Im sure they planned ahead to open the store during that storm.
Knowledgeable and friendly employees. The front aisles always seem like there are too many special displays that make it narrow. Great for lumber and other supplies for home projects. Ive heard this store has a bad reputation but Ive had no issues on over a dozen visits.
First time in this Home Depot this weekend. First impressions are everything and they go above and beyond to make sure when you first enter the store and when you leave that you are taken care of. Its actually very clean as well in this store and the selection of tools and hardware is great as well. Almost had to leave my wallet in the car to not over spend here.
Curbside pickup was terrible. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is an employee corrected the mistake quickly, after I had called the store. Once I explained that I had been sitting in the curbside for almost 20 minutes (17 exactly), he immediately brought my 1 item to me, then apologized and told me to have a good day.
The managers keep messing up my store credit. Basically I returned some items. Home depot gave me store credit. They spelled my name wrong, so I have to get approval. They keep canceling the order, which puts a hold on the store credit card. So far happen twice. Kind of a hassle.
Great Service! Ive never experienced such patience with an associate. Alan in garden went above and beyond helping me with various of items from Melon seeds to Ryobi power washers! He new exactly what he was talking about and provided me with very helpful/useful information!
I had a really great first experience at this store on 12/30/17 and 12/31/17. Placed an order over the phone the evening before and picked up the materials the next morning. The sales associates were nice and helpful on the phone and in the store. Did not wait more than a few minutes for my stuff to get to the pickup/customer service desk and I also got help loading many boxes of flooring. Weather was below freezing and sleet starting to fall, but still received friendly help. THANKS to all to to TJ for loading!
Not as familiar with this store, but so far I have no major complaints about it. It seems a little hard to track down help, but that may be because first thing in the morning theyre busy with contractor type people? Not fully staffed yet? Idk... but that is the only negative impact on my review, both times Ive went around 8:30am and I felt it was empty of employees in the departments. When I did get someone, they were definitely helpful though.
Service here is something of a mystery. Im beginning to wonder if Ill ever find an employee. Oh wait, I found one in the paint isle. Thanks for announcing I needed help in electrical. But wait.... its been ten minutes and still no help. Awesome.Im definitely going out of my way to go to Lowes for now on. Thanks.Update: I found an 200 year old employee that found the electrical guy in the bath section. Apparently, I just need to wait. Its been another 10 minutes so far.Update 2: He finally showed up. Apparently I was an inconvenience to his day. At least he answered one question before hurrying off. Not that I had any other questions.....
I have met very friendly people: Quinn in windows/doors, Darlene in hooks and other supplies, James in AC/Heat, irrigation supplies, Pam cashier, and manager Isaiah. All helped me with good advice and were open to take the time to help and advise. Each and everyone is a valuable asset to the store and people with whom they interact. Blessings and sincere thanks to each and all.
Its basically Walmart. Lots of employees doing very little and all the cashiers have been replaced with self checkout. I refuse to use self checkout. If they ever do away with the human checkers at the lumber section I will start driving to Ace again. Prices are really high on common items like charcoal, cleaners, and light bulbs
I asked for help and some guy told me to ask for a lady when I got to the isle. No lady was there so I waited for someone to pass by and asked them for help. They called over the loud speaker but no one came. When a guy did he ignored me and put his hand up to stop me from talking. He couldnt help so they called again but no one came. Another guy came helping a lady. He said he didnt know the area and would call for help. 3 times they called over the loud speaker and still one came. I usually dont give bad reviews but between the guy holding his hand up to stop me from talking to him while he looked for something on his device and waiting around for three calls only to have no one show up, i feel like maybe this one is deserved
Since I have an injury on my knee, I stopped at the pickup counter and asked the young lady where the cleaning supplies where. Right away she pointed out exactly where. Which was the next au down. I love it when they tell me exactly where things are. I really dont want for someone to walked me to the place. Just point me in the right direction and I can find it on my own.
THE RATS/MICE ARE OUT OF CONTROL. This store is FULL of them!! There is poop on almost all of the outdoor items, and they arent afraid of people, they run around everywhere. It is hard to find a bag of bird seed, grass seed, etc. that hasnt been compromised by the rats. The customer service is fine and I would prefer to shop here, but the hygiene of this store is unacceptable. I will be calling the health department and reporting them.
I stopped by Saturday morning to get paint matched. Steve was working by himself when I got there and I was the next customer. While I was waiting, it got really busy. He was doing his best to help everyone with his in between time but had to have help. The entire time, he was trying to be calm, cool, and humorous. He gets 2 thumbs up.
I will never shop at this Home Depot again. It is right across the street from my office and so it is convenient. I needed a few things to finish a project, but apparently the employees phones are more important. They were not on first phones, but their personal phones, not helping other people. Not a single employee offered help and I was ignored. I left my cart with the few things I could find in the isle. I have never been so upset that I just left my shopping cart, I think its rude. I am now about to drive all the way to Greenville Home Depot because I know that I will get quality customer service from their team.
I placed an order online with Home Depot the night before I intend to pick up the order. I made sure every item I was ordering had plenty in stock at the Wylie location. When I showed up to pick up my order and called the number to let them know I was there, they told me my order would be right out. After 2 hours of waiting and multiple calls they still did not have my order ready. I finally went inside to cancel my order and get my money back and they had just started pulling my order. I would avoid ordering online at this location. As soon as I get my refund back I will be ordering all my material some where else.
The staff is friendly enough. But, like Kmart in its latter heyday, this store is a cluttered mess.In fairness, this review is posted post-Spring 2016, after two humongous hailstorms. Everything in and near Wylie continues in disarray and has been for a couple months. In many ways, this store looks like Home Depots Ground Zero for recovery from those storms. The store is well-stocked. Employees arent particularly friendly, nor have been for the ten years weve been going here.Systems, like buying Propane for grills, are intended to make it easy. A couple months ago we were there and all credit card systems were broken. Last fall, well before the storms, we attempted (again) to use their automated Propane system (where you supposedly dont have to go inside). It was again broken. After numerous unanswered automated Assistance Calls, and being delayed by employees, we had to physically call the store and ask for a manager (while standing in front of the store). We complained that this was another occasion where this system was broken. The manager replied, Im sorry. We hear that all the time. Sadly, the big bosses wont do anything about it, however much we tell them its broken and makes customers unhappy.Pros: Well, stocked. Generally pretty knowledgeable staff, though not generally intentionally helpful. So far as I can tell, they havent gouged customers post-hailstorm. Kudos on that!Cons: Broken systems (e.g. I will never buy Propane there again). Cluttered and haphazard atmosphere (aisles cluttered, product cramped together). Inattentive regional (if not local) management. Generally, it feels disorganized.
Was trying to purchase some shelving wood and I couldn’t get anyone’s attention. Especially the one working in the area. He looked at me and I raised my hand up that i needed help and he immediately turn the corner. He passed me about 3 times. There were several employees that passed me but NO ONE asked if I needed help. I waited 15 minutes and left. I’m so disappointed in them.
This store takes 3+ hours to offload a trailer with their freight. The receiving department actually tried to be funny asking a handful of staff Who wants to unload this guy? Seriously? Their staff fails to realize that these drivers are on a clock that doesnt stop and they cant just punch out and go home. Many are stuck looking for Safe Havens for their mandatory 10hr break after burning up over three hours of what couldve been 7 productive hours of service. The store manager makes excuses rather than providing solutions. He actually told a driver that they were short on forklift drivers and only one was working this particular day. That person, being the ONLY certified forklift operator should be SOLELY TASKED with the loading and unloading of freight. Any number of other staff can point people to nails and screws! This stores management is anything but professional and I hope their corporate powers that be catch wind of these comments. This store didnt open last night! The bums they contract for security are a joke too! The women employees are trying to get trucks offloaded in a timely manner and customers pull in to the offloading area they have staged out front. Instead of helping the women staff maintain order, they sit in their vehicles, with headphones on while these ladies are being cussed at and argued with! This, by far, is the worst run store in all of this area! I think they forget that if not for these drivers bringing freight, theyd have no business to run.....
Crazy I was looking for some Henry self leveling floor patch and got nite by a dog on the back side of my knee and yes it freak me out the customer paid for my pants and the dog was a real pretty dog Im glad it didnt break my skin but its all good and got what I needed
The only reason i would give them 1 star is because of self checkouts that are the only open lanes in broad day lite.Whatever happened to cashiers? If they do this to save payroll then why arent rhe savings being passed on to customers who are doing a cashiers job themselves.Obviously the savings are going to their executives in shape of incentives and bonuses.Shame on them!!
Seems to always have what I need. I prefer home depot instead of lowes. Also if paint color isnt a big factor you should check out there oops paint. Its paint customer thought they wanted and it doesnt come out to there liking so they mark them down. Found a few color my wife and I actually liked and used.
This is the most unprofessional establishment Ive ever visited. I asked Gary, a manager there for assistance on a project. Instead of helping me, he berated some young girl that worked there right in front of me, and when I tried to tell him never mind, this man had the audacity to hold up a finger to tell me- a paying customer- to wait. Now, I dont mind being patient. But his conversation with the employee involved not letting her have water on a 100+ degree day, and all sort of unprofessional and inappropriate remarks to where the employee was in tears and ran off. When he finally turned back around, I politely told him his assistance was no longer wanted, and went to a different store for my needs. Prior to me leaving, Gary tried to justify why he acted like that towards the employee, and I had to explain to him that basic human needs involve giving water to your employees.
I was there at the store at 1140 morning , I stood on the return items line to pay for what I got , one of untrained costumer service young man waved to me to go on the other dude of register , I was waiting for almost 10 minute no one asked me why I’m standing or for any help, the woman on my front reheated was busy with the computer but not the costumers who were standing in front of her , then after a while they noticed me finally and why I’m standing in a wrong line !!!??? Then I had to go back to the returns line again ..!!Plus their treatment want like a good costumer service at all ,, they need to retrained ASAP.. I dislike their costumer service at all ..
I hardly ever write reviews but I do read them. I promised Van I would do this and yet have not done anything until now. I have always liked Home Depot. This particular store, the plumbing dept, if you ever need help, look for Van. Not that I dont like the other employees, but Van has always helped me with any plumbing problem question and has never steered me wrong!
Since the hail storm that devastated Wylie there has been a lot of traffic in this store , you would think management would accommodate this influx of traffic by increasing the staff. Well this hasnt happened and last weekend (Saturday) I was left for more than a hour at the loading area waiting for my product! Apparently I wasnt the only person having issues as myself and 6 other people waited for assistance with variance equipment that had been waiting longer than I had. This is the worst service I have ever experienced and the management at this Home Depot should fired. Needless to say I cancelled my order and others did as well and went to the Lowes and was in and out the store in less than 20 minutes. The only bright side of the whole ordeal was the cashier by the name of Ideuna that actually apologized on behalf of the company, the manager was no where to be found.
Always had the parts we need. The employees always know where everything is and it is also very easy to find what your need. Always useful for indoor DIY projects, so if you are looking for a outside project it would be better to make a visit to Lowes for an outdoor project. But if you are looking for electronics, paint, timber, ect. Home Depot would be a great visit.
We went on looming for a lamp we had found on the website. The associate informed us that the store was too small to carry everything on the website, well aware. He was very condescending and told us to always check online first. We did, but wanted it that day and didnt want to wait for shipping.
As a landscaper getting multiple bags of rock, dirt or mulch here often is not worth the effort anymore when its all inside. For a while you could pay inside and then pull up to pallets out front to only have to lift these heavy bags once. Some genius has the store put this stuff inside now and i have to load 15-40 bags on a cart or two and then lift them all again to load into truck, forget trying to find help most days. If you buy these types of things online they wont have it ready, Ive learned it takes more time that way! This place makes work of picking up supplies.
Incredibly poor customer service. Impossible to get any help and then when someone does stop to “help” they make you feel like you’re an inconvenience. Rude and unwilling to assist. After asking 4 people for help and getting the run around, someone finally agreed to help me re-key locks I had purchased from the location. While assisting me, another customer (who had been searching for help with no avail) asked the gentlemen for help that was working on my locks. The worker, instead of kindly saying he was busy, cut the customer off by saying “not now!!” The customer responded with “what do you mean not now” and the worker said “I’m busy!”So rude! No excuse for this even with holiday season.
I drive up here from Sachse, and it is safer than some locations. Like most home depots it is crowded. They have what you need though, when you go there, so I give it 4 stars to make my home projects doable. My main reason to not do 5 stars is that the employees are on two extremes, they are either way over the top too interested in helping, or they wont even look at you or say hi as you walk by. So for that reason, its not 5 star service.
I was having a hard time finding something. The employees standing around talking to each other having a personal conversion. I walk up to the two ladys having a personal conversion and stood there waiting for them to finish. A 3rd employee walks up takes one of the ladys and the other turns and walks away from me. I cant belive some people. This is not the normal service i get from the wylie home depot.
The store is poorly set up so it makes finding certain things hard. Ive also noticed its very hard to find staff to help most of the time. When you do find a staff member some will literally look you in the eye know your coming for them and literally try to run or hide.
This is the best Home Depot out of all of them. Im a contractor so Ive been to a lot of them. This store is more organized and everyone for the most part is very helpful. Other stores like Rockwall should take note of this store. That store is always messy with palets blocking isles, rude employees.
The isles have become crowded with displays. It was so bad today I witnessed two times where people got stuck in shopping cart traffic. In my last 3 visits there were no cashiers. Today I needed assistance with a ceiling fan and in plumbing, there was no one to help me. The lady standing by self checkout doing nothing was complaining to another associate that they were not allowed breaks over the weekend.
Called location to verify they had a shed in stock that showed available online. They said they put their hands on the unit and that they had 6. When I got there after a 30 minute drive I was told the person made a mistake they did not have any and they tried to refer me to another store. Why would I trust the people who cant even verify their own stock correctly to call another store. Thanks for the waste of time Garden section.
I went to buy some stones at the store and Ronald Asante was the only one that came in to help me the cashier was calling and calling and huge guy Hispanic working in the same area he doesn’t even say hi I have to say hi to him so sad that young people doesn’t do there job but to the gentleman Ronald Asante need to get a good raise he is awesome employee. 🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏
Robert from rentals has a bad additude towards costamers wasnt just me was also the person in front of me. He did charge me a cleaning fee wich I obviously cleaned the steam cleaner out but thats not what upset me. Im a business owner in wylie and if my employee acted like that Id replace him with someone who acted like he wanted to be there. My name is charles distler and this is the first time I had to deal with this after all the items I rented over the years.
The visit was awful. I went through the self-checkout none of the other lanes are open. Had to pay cash and the lady running self-checkout didnt know how to get my change. I didnt have time to wait so I lost $10. 99 because they let someone run so check out that doesnt have access to cash. Its ridiculous. No wonder people steal
As always when visiting the home depot wylie the employees there are quick to help me find what I need to do the project that I am working on at the house ,and they make sure that they greet my 2 dogs when they come with me which is always .we are always loyal to the home depot wylie and all of the other locations, we went on vacation 3 years ago and every town we went through we stopped at the home depot to take a break and visit with the employees there we enjoyed the visit. Thank you home depot. .Fred jerger of wylie rx. I give that store a 5 star rating for the knowledge of the people that work there, the store and they layout makes it easy to find what I am looking for
Horrible Customer Service - Jamie Jones. Worst customer service person. She was so rude, would rather gossip with a customer and tell them about her scoliosis and her family history with scoliosis, and the treatments for it. I was there to pick up my online lumber order, but due to her behavior, I simply just returned my entire 500 dollar order and took my business elsewhere. Jamie Jones should be fired!
POOR LIGHTING-Thought maybe it was a coincidence the first time I went there. Nope, just keeping it dark. Looks like half or less of the lights are utilized. I go to the other stores where I can see things from 3 feet out. Entrance to the HD parking lot is also awkward.

2022-01-28Good location. Friendly staff and fully stocked sections. They have their garden items in before Lowes.

2022-02-21We had called about ordering material for a job - spoke with Daniel at the service desk - who was very helpful - explained the steps of paying in store near where we live and picking up at his location - we attempted to do that at the Carrier Pkwy., Grand Prairie location and unfortunately dealt with Kendall (who supposedly is a manager - who lacks the qualities and ability to hold that position) she said it couldnt be done - we came back home and spoke with Daniel he said they may not know how to do it - but he would walk them through the steps - POM or CPO order - we called Kendall to explain and after a few minutes of speaking with my spouse she hung up on him. We ended up paying over the phone at this location - which has great customer service - which should be the norm - thanks Daniel - Home Depot may need to put training in place on these type of orders

2022-04-27I must say this is our favorite place to shop however I had an issue with a canopy and I did call the customer care line and they told me it would take 24-48 hours however Ethan - Wylie Customer Experience Manager gave me a called in less than two hours. I called him back and he took care of my issue and went over and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. We love to shop there and with his help it gave me a feeling of a customer that they care about and that means a lot in retail. Thank you Ethan for taking care of my issue and going over and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and we will be back to by those patio sets with the week!

2022-06-10Typically this store is awesome. But today one rep told us the guy in plumbing depth on break for ten minutes and there was no one else to help until then. We looked for and found an older gentleman who was awesome. But the guy that interjected himself trying to assist us sent us to Garland location stating they had part we needed. They didnt 😧. But!!! They were nice enough to make part while we waited.

2022-04-12March 2022, I had a horrible experience regarding a return and the system they utilize. The system held a $2000 refund from me because $180 in store credit was used WITH my credit card to make the purchase. This situation went on for about 3 days, I was just about in tears. I asked to speak with a manager and Jerusalem comes to the line. She told me to stop by the store to see if we can get it all figured out. I get there and she did not stop until she resolved the issue. She was so caring and concerned. I literally just bawled my eyes out in the car once everything was done. She took a tremendous amount of stress off of me by resolving this issue. So thankful for her and those around her who offered their assistance. Jerusalem showed great leadership and is definitely management material!

2022-06-27Employees could be more helpful in assisting customers. They will walk right past you unless you holler at them. I work customer service and am always asking customer if I can help them find anything. Especially when the store isnt as organized as it should be.

2022-06-06Im proud to report that home Depot was extremely busy today! After mass murders, stock market crashes, rising interest rates, recession recession total division of our political parties, the pandemic and catastrophic loss of life Americans are still standing proudly. With diligence ,Grace, and to preserve our god-given right to live free! To make our own choices. To believe in God and one another that we Stand and no one take it from us. I saw that today in the faces of everyone that I looked at. Knowing that every each individual has come through great fear, hunger, sickness and strife. I saw in every face shining was adversity strength honor and happiness! I faith, hope and compassion Shining brightly from their faces. Not around the crowd. And I know many ask and wonder when the end will be. Well I could see for America no matter when that day maybe this nation will end as it began. Christians standing fighting for the belief that every person has the right to live free upon this Earth. So thats what Im saying today at home Depot some. Inspiring! So I dont have enough thumbs to give them up! God bless everyone!

2022-04-04If your order curbside pick, dont bother with it. I have to wait almost 45 minutes after multiple sign ins and calls. the employee that came out was in a bad mood and threw my order in the truck with an attitude. when I asked for some items he yelled at me that he could not help and that I had to go inside of store to get help. Just a ridiculous attitude for items that had been already paid. I suggest them not to offer curbside if they don not have employees that could fulfill.

2022-05-27Horrible delivery service. My mother ordered a washer and dryer for delivery. The delivery driver decided to call it a day early and lied about no one being home when they were actively looking out for the delivery. Gave them another chance and a few days after.. again delivery driver lied about no one being home when again they were actively looking out for the delivery. Spoke to the general manager and he could care less. My mother threatened to cancel and he literally said ok cancel it then. So she did. A few days later the delivery driver called and asked my mom when she wanted the delivery she informed him it was canceled. This store is a mess. Go to lowes!

2022-06-18Robert, Isaiah, Cindi, and the staff at the tools counter are all customer friendly. However, Francisco is a rude associate that needs to find another field for work. Im not happy with my experience with him and i will be reporting him.
