Our family was looking at facilities to put my loved one who needs long term care as we can no longer provide the care my father-in-law needs. As we were searching for possible places to take him, I stumbled onto this facility and read their reviews. After more research of your facility, what we found was appalling. So thankful that we will not allow your facility to treat my father-in-law like a cash cow and run him through your establishment like a herd of cattle.Your companies track record is speaks for itself, thank goodness we did our homework and didnt allow ourselves to get caught up in false promises from your administrator and the head nurse:The Ensign Group has faced several lawsuits alleging that it provided with residents with insufficient care that has caused injury to residents. There have been several lawsuits alleging that Ensign Group nursing homes providing insufficient care to prevent.Ensign provided therapy to patients whose conditions and diagnoses did not warrant it, solely to increase its reimbursement from Medicare. The government further alleged that Ensign created a corporate culture that improperly incentivized therapists and others to increase the amount of therapy provided to patients to meet planned targets for Medicare revenue. These targets were set without regard to patients’ individual therapy needs and could only be achieved by billing at the highest reimbursement levels. The government also alleged that Ensign billed for inflated amounts of therapy it had not provided and that certain patients were kept in these facilities for periods of time exceeding what was medically necessary for treatment of their conditions.
I have worked at this building for 4 years in the therapy department. We have built a great team that deeply cares about our residents. We would be honored to care for your loved ones❤️
How embarrassing it is for a former employee who was terminated based on poor work habits to find so much time and effort in writing fake reviews. If you actually put forth this much time in your job duties you would still be employed. You were a friend of mine and I stuck my neck out there for you to be considered in the important position and you completely failed in it. Maybe you arent embarrassed for how you conduct yourself, but I am absolutely humiliated that I gave anyone in this company your name.
The Medical Lodge of Amarillo is a new facility with a warm touch and hospitable personnel. Great nursing care and skilled therapy is a given. What sets The Medical Lodge of Amarillo apart from other places is their genuine care for each individual who enters their doors.
This is the best nursing staff I have ever had the pleasure in working with! The staff have caring hearts and meaningful relationships with the residents! So proud to be a part of this team!
My sister is in the hospital right now because of this place. I dont understand why this place is still operating. My sisterIs really sick dont know if she is going to make it. All because of neglect. This place needs to be shut down for good. Its all about the. Money

This was the WORST facility I have ever worked at. They hired an administrator that had no experience in running a facility, the administrator was never in the facility he was always lying and all in all very rude! Would not recommend!

2022-08-11All the meals are served late by a half hour to an hour late and there is not enough food being served. They need to put peanut butter and jelly sandwiches up with the nurses for snacks along with different types of fruits. All they have is the same old thing. They need to pass ice and water to EVERYONE cuz I never got it without calling a nurse. Then they need to pass out snacks without having to call a nurse and its not happening.

2021-04-02I have worked here for 6 years. We were recently bought by another company, so our name has changed. Our building is getting a complete remodel. The residents and staff are very excited about this opportunity. Many of our residents and staff have been here for years. My DON and nursing staff are very caring and compassionate about everyone that comes through our doors. The therapy department does an amazing job. We all strive to do our very best everyday to take care of your loved ones. I am excited to be apart of this family.

2022-05-25Need new kitchen manger i was there she was so rude how can you all people have her working for youre company. Thats so embarrassing she was yelling at her workers am a professional manager will never treat my employees like she did.. and the cook was so sweet she a nice worker i saw her walk out because youre kitchen manager so wrong

2021-04-01I am a newer employee here. The DON is the best boss I have ever had. She appreciates the staff and tells them they are doing a great job. That is a lot of incentive for me to do a even better job. I have been in health care for 33 years and I have had a lot of different experiences in my career. This has been the best employer so far. The residents are great and I love to take care of them. The lodge is undergoing a complete renovation of the facility and they have dedicated compassionate staff. We know everyone by name and I love coming to work.

2021-04-01The care my grandmother gets is exceptional. The staff is always caring and provides personal attention, many have expressed their love for her. We are notified of every detail of medical issues and are kept informed about any ongoing care that needs to be provided. The staff have made every effort to support us and have continued to encourage us to visit as frequently as we can.She has been a resident for about 4 years, her health has been stable, the personal attention she has received has been exceptional, and she has been happy within her circumstances.We are all appreciative of their concern and the love and compassion she has been shown.

2021-04-12Ive had the opportunity to visit numerous nursing facilities and this one is a standout!! The residents and staff are some of the very best Ive ever come into contact with. The fact that no resident has had COVID since the start of the pandemic speaks volumes about the quality of care and concern the staff has for those in this facility. Truly amazing people being complimented by a beautiful remodel. Come down, take a look for yourselves at the great things happening everyday at The Lodge!!

2021-09-13Didn’t take care of my aunt at all, she stayed with something wrong with her every other day. Always dehydrated, sat in her own urine for hours, didn’t consistently check on her. Currently in the hospital praying that she makes fast recovery. She will never be going back there. I’ve worked at nursing homes and this is one of the worst; patients come first & I’ve witnessed myself you have to go to the nurses and ask them to come tend to her.!!How can you treat someone so poorly when you know they can’t really help themselves? Treat them as if it was your own family member.

2021-08-04The care I received was a nightmare. To be left in urine for hours in my bed in a cold room with out medication is insane. I was sent v there for Rehabilitation, but most of the time I spend it in bed. Their attitude is so unrespectful. They were mean to me. They dont know how to use the pain management. I pray to God that I will never stay there again. No one deserves to be treated so mean and with no compassion or respect. I thought I was going to die. I have nightmares of this place. Horrible place!

2021-06-04Very unprofessional, went to the open house, DON was in her own little world. Not to mention the Administrator was late and on his phone, he didn’t even have enough courtesy to tell us who he was. I’ve guess he had better things to do over the phone than to tell us or show us the buildings remodels. Everyone else was great. I can see the therapy team had they’re stuff together. As for the building it looks nice, that’s not going to make the place a better choice. You want to make it better get rid of the Don and Administrator as long as you have people like them in management the whole facility will suffer and go down. Seems to me that the reviews on here are all from they’re own employees, which they probably told or asked to write a good review.

2021-05-21The therapy department is the best. They got me up and got me moving. I feel like I am getting good care here. I especially like Susan (ADON) she is always cheerful and has a good attitude and takes care of whatever you need.
