My first visit to Elan Southpark Meadows left me speechless. It is so beautiful and everyone is so welcoming from the moment you enter. Comments Ive overheard speak of the rustic, resort feeling. One said All this hotel needs is a beach! and another said I know there are 5 star hotels but this one needs an extra star! The residents are so happy in this environment of great care, amazing cuisine and activities featuring multiple outings weekly, bingo 7x/week, exercise 6x/week and more. To sum up the Elan experience, one resident is so happy he will tell you he feels like he jumped off the Titanic and is now on the Love Boat!
Jimmy, Jody, and their team at Elan do an excellent job with taking care of their residents. When you start walking through Elan you immediately get the feeling your loved one will be taken care of by compassionate professionals. As you’re touring the community you get a very warm feeling.My name is Patrick Murphy and I’m the owner of Amada Senior Care. One of the services we provide our patient/clients is to help them find senior housing and higher levels of care when it’s not safe for our seniors to stay home. When we have patient/clients with any cognitive impairment, Dementia, or need a higher level of care we refer the family to Jimmy, Jody, and their Team at Elan.It’s always a very tough decision to go through the process of placing a loved one in assisted living or memory care, but often times it’s the best thing for them and also you and your health. Caring for loved ones with Dementia or who are in need of a higher level of care is really difficult.My mom has Alzheimer’s so I know first hand what you are going through. If you are looking for an unbelievable community for your mom, dad, or spouse you really need to strongly consider Elan. You will not regret it. Elan at Southpark Meadows represents Retirement and Assisted Living at its Best! The community is so welcoming, from the front desk to the care staff! And the atmosphere is one of rustic elegance, both relaxing yet sophisticated. I found the memory support team particularly nurturing and knowledgeable. Elan at Southpark Meadows sets the bar for Assisted Living in Southwest Austin.
I was invited to the Grand Opening Celebration in March. The environment was lively and the residents were having a fantastic time! The food presentation was spectacular and the festive décor and activities made it an exciting evening. The caregivers were having a great time but remained attentive to the needs of the residents throughout the celebration. After visiting with several residents, I heard a consistent message that they loved their Élan home and the people who provided care. I was thoroughly impressed!
Elan is a not only a beautiful and well appointed community, but staff are loving and supportive. The Executive Director, Director of Nursing, floor nurses and sales staff..all exemplify professionalism and kindness. They make you feel like family. This is one top notch community and worth visiting.
My parents lived at The Elan South Park Meadows which in the last year has been acquired by The Watermark Communities at South Park Meadows. I have to say over the last few months Ive become convinced their management and policies are really working. My family and I have noticed the care and skill the staff of the Watermark-Southpark gives my parents and especially now during COVID19, as we navigate our concerns during the lock-down situation. Their response and communication around the quarantine has been very clear and they have done the utmost in my opinion to assure the care of my parents during the lockdown. Not easy for our family and so many others during these time so I really want to say thank you to the staff at the Watermark on behalf of my parents and family.
My Dad has been at Elan for over two years and he is so happy here. The whole staff has been very helpful and is always courteous. They make his days brighter. He truly feels “at home” at Elan.
PAST EMPLOYEE REVIEW ON MY EXPERIENCE THERE***Please do not send anyone to this place to work at!! The residents are absolutely amazing, I wish nothing but the best for every single one of them but the caregiver management is absolutely awful. I repeat, if NICOLE is a manager still working there when someone applies, back out, quickly!!!! She does not care about anyone of the residents, she does not care about any of the staff (except her family that she hires) she doesn’t help you when you need help! I have never worked at a place before that had such awful management. I have never worked at a place where MY manager would lie to the big boss about something I did so I can have a chance of getting fired.The current residents here are wonderful and full of love but I warn you, IF NICOLE still works there...DO NOT work there, DO NOT let your family live here! Leave and stay away!!!
This is a wonderful Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. The staff that work here are considerate and caring. Elan Southpark Meadows interior atmosphere is inviting and has just the right amount of that Texas Flair. This Community is a wonderful addition to South Austin!
I felt a passionate sense of community between the residents and the staff. The folks in memory care seemed to be very engaged. I watched a video about one of the memory care residents. It truly gave me hope. Folks were smiling and laughing.
Alert!! The good reviews are from old management! There is new management and the place had gone downhill. Three different directors now in two months.We moved my dad from a less secure facility to elan specifically because he was escaping. Within less than a week, someone at elan left an outside door open. My dad got out, no shoes on, wandered around in the heat for hours till an individual finally found him in their yard and called police. He came back with his feet all bloody. We asked for days for someone to look at them and no one did. He could barely walk.Im sitting in my dads room and they apparently never heated the place since the cold front last week bc were both in jackets. Staff is down right rude. Contact me directly for other issues bc we are getting a lawyer and cant disclose more details publicly.
This community has the most caring and compassionate staff and there is always something entertaining and fun happening at the community. The activity and memory care staff are beyond amazing and always willing to help when needed.
Wow. Only about 6 months ago this place only had a few reviews and they were horrible. What a surprise to see the reviews change so drastically? Interesting to see WHO is posting these reviews. Chase Thomas, for example, Regional Director for Civitas, that OWNS Elan. Patrick Murphy, who “places” people in Civitas/Elan (his mom doesnt live there). Oh ---- mystery solved.Several folks who did nothing more than toured and had a great lunch,” or thought the building was nice and the people seemed happy. So disappointing that Civitas friends/family are being asked to post outstanding reviews ---- which negates the whole purpose of Google Review system. Shame on yall!!! If you dont have a loved one thats lived there AT LEAST 3 months ---- dont post as you dont really know what the care level is like.
People who work at this place do really care about the well being of the residents. They do enhance the quality of their lives.
This place is an amazing high and assisted living! Ive let my grandmother live here!
Does anyone know who to talk to about the new braunfels location they need new human resource people cant ever get ahold of them for anything jenny is never available when we call shes always busy but I walk in no ones there and shes walking around wow just lazy people

2022-05-16Fabulous sales director, Laura Sullivan who took her time listening to deep concerns regarding my elderly father and how the Watermark staff, food, activities, and daily care could best serve him. I truly felt heard and supported. Both my father and I loved the facility with well lit rooms, spacious hallways and a beautiful dining hall. We ate lunch there and both of us enjoyed the nourishing, tasty food. All of the staff were friendly and the residents that we met were very warm and inviting helping us to feel right at home immediately. I feel that the Watermark is a great option for those looking for a solution to Assisted Living to age gracefully and with support.

2022-08-10I moved my mother to Watermark Southpark Meadows late last year from an assisted living in Houston area. I didn’t know what we had been missing! Watermark is amazing. Very open, modern, bright looking accommodations and overall atmosphere. The location is easy access to many shops and restaurants. Laura Sullivan (Sales Director) was a delight. Very knowledgeable and patient at guiding us on options and dealing with my endless questions. I also like that services are a la carte vs. levels. The support staff - so wonderful. Yvonne and Ezra at the concierge respond immediately, even thinking proactively ahead to the things I hadn’t thought to ask. Home care support are quick and friendly when Mom needs aide. Bathrooms have plenty of room for my Mom to maneuver in her wheelchair. Mom likes the food so much she has canceled outside lunches with me for specific menu items. There are great entertainment options - on and off site. Maintenance is quick to react, if needed. I have definitely seen my mom thrive and am so happy with my decision to move her here.

2022-02-03This place has been a lifesaver for my mother. She has dementia and needs way more care than I could take care of her in our home. However, since making The Watermark her new home, her entire health and demeanor have improved in ways that I didnt think possible. All of the residents and staff have been friendly, helpful, and always try to make her feel accepted.I especially want to mention Andrea Olvera, my mothers move-in specialist. Andrea was the reason that I knew we were in the right place. I dont know if I have ever experienced a higher level of customer service for anything in my life. She went entirely above and beyond in every way to make this challenging process as easy as possible.I am very thankful for The Watermark at Southpark Meadows and Andrea for improving the quality of my mothers life. I give them my highest recommendation as a community. If you need help from you or a family member, contact Andrea today!

2022-05-20I have to say the staff was wonderful when I was exploring options for my mother for long term and memory care. Each time I stopped in memory care, it was clean, the residents were well cared for and happy. The food was healthy and well done. I was looking forward to having a nice, safe place for my parent.

2018-11-13I love this place for my mom! I have worked hard with the caring staff to make sure she gets the care and comfort she deserves. Shes my mom! The staffing ratio is rich; the food is always good. My compliments to the architect who designed not just an assisted-living facility but a living community. Elan lives up to its name and caters to the changing needs of its residents.

2018-11-22I love this place. Everyone is very nice. When i went in the two ladies sitting in the lobby smiled and said hello. They seemed happy to be living there. The place is very clean and i was asked if i needed help by every person that walked past me as i waited to get my coffee before my tour. The tour was amazing. I was really surprised about how the rooms are laid out they looked smaller online. Every question i had was answered. The tour director is so caring and friendly. He is very knowledgeable. Not only did I get to have lunch there today after my tour, he introduced me to the activity director. i think this is the perfect new home for my grandma and i honestly would love to come in and volunteer there also it seems like a fun place to work. Hope this is helpful.

2019-07-29I researched and interviewed every nearby memory care facility, and was happy to choose Elan. Everyone on the staff was so helpful and friendly, and truly cared for him during his final months. Their care was uniquely tuned for him, including his meals, getting him active, and honoring his younger life and career.I would recommend Elan without hesitation for any friends or family members.

2018-11-22We recently toured this community for my aunt . We were blown away by the amount of compassion the employees displayed. Folks were eating lunch and no one was sitting alone. There was lots of conversation and laughter. As we were upstairs and on the way to see the model, the gentlemen touring us around saw a resident who needed help. The gentlemen excused himself to help her and then apologized. We thought this was a lovely gesture of compassion and doing more than just a job.We were prepared to move our aunt to Elan, however, she fell that night and ended up in the hospital and passed away 3 days later.We are sad to have lost our aunt, yet we are happy to now have a better understanding of Assisted Living.
