T.J. Maxx & HomeGoods in other cities:
T J Maxx is truly my favorite place to shop. Its the one place I shop, that no matter the amount I spend, I feel as if I have quality and value. For me, there is nothing better then to buy something that was once 85.00 that is marked down to 19.99:) As an added bonus, the staff is always willing to help, and are very courteous. I prefer the location in Allen Texas, I find the selection is plentiful and the store is always clean and organized.
The Family voted... this is the best HomeGoods in North Texas. They have been to many different HomeGoods in different cities and states. Every time they walk into a HomeGoods they always make comments on whether it is a good or bad one. They love this one. We guess that other people like this location too, cause the check out line goes pretty far into the TJ Maxx side of the store. Nice employees and good retail choices. Highly recommend.
I love TJ Maxx BUT.... Be prepared to stand in line for most of your day... They have 14ish registers and less than half of them are manned.... So, the line is a mile long, and it takes forever to get through..... It used to not be like this. They used to man more registers and the lines went by quickly.Edit: today was like all other days: an eternal line and only half of the registers at work; however, this time, someone (who I can only assume was the manager) decided it would be beneficial to stand at the front of the line and direct ppl to the register that was already loudly announced for all to hear (and at times sending two different ppl to the same register because she was distracted).... Why do this pointless job rather than do something that is actually helpful, such as getting behind a register?? And believe me, everyone is thinking the same thing....
The check out line was extremely long and wrapped passed the jewelry section. The womens clothing section needs better signs on whats what, they could also get more dresses and skirts; same foe the little girl section. The store was very crowded which contributed to the long check out line. They should just go back and separate the two stores and not have it combined. Doing so would cut down on the long lines and over crowding of the store.
I live in Allen but I only went to this store twice. One to buy 4 items, 4 days later to return 2 of them because my son did not like them. And I will never buy again here. When I bought the 4 pieces of clothes, I confirmed with the cashier if I could return them if my son did not like them. She assured me it was ok, with tags and receipts. 4 days later I returned 2 of the items Both were with tags, unused (my son did not want to try them because he did not like them at all). And I had my receipt in hand. They refused to refund money on 1 jacket because a tag was missing. The tag was there but they said there was another tag missing. That is not true. We did not remove any tag, we not even unzippered the jacket because my son said no from the moment he saw it in the bag. Be aware of their mysterious return policies, they are not customer friendly at all.
This store has employees walking around doing nothing while the lines to check out wrap around the store. This locations needs different management… keep with the times TJ Maxx as you are competing with online shopping people are not going to come to your store and wait an hour to purchase their items from your location.Wish this was only once that this has happened but it’s every time. Today I left a cart full of goods that I was going to buy. If your sales are down, consider this. Won’t be coming back to this location.
The checkout line is an absolute joke. The line is always wrapped around to almost the back of the store. If you are shopping here, be prepared to wait to check out for a MINIMUM of 45 minutes. Don’t even bother trying to return an item because you’ll have to wait in the SAME LINE again. They have 10 registers (never more than 3 or 4 open at a time) and not ONE is designated to accept returns.
First time at Home Goods I was recommend to stop by from a friend since Pier 1 no longer exists ( only on the web ) this store definitely takes its place , good quality merchandise at great prices I was really surprised with all there unique pieces from furniture to kitchenware I have witnessed merchandise being grabbed out of their restocking carts immediately even before being displayed that is how fast they sell products don’t wait till tomorrow or next week to get your product trust me it will be gone by the next day as I have experience it. They are not known for there customer service they could work on their customer service in greeting customers and making us feel welcomed, forget their checkout process it’s a mess never enough cashiers available and long lines all the time at every slow never ending pace be prepared read a book watch a movie on your phone or have a snack while waiting to hear “number 3“ “or “number 4” cashier available. It is always extremely crowded you won’t be the only one there I recommend being there as soon as they open. You will need to spend a while at the store if you want to check all their great products.
LONG, CROWDED CHECK OUT LINE. I actually love this store. Great selection. But every time Ive come past few months Ive had to immediately leave because the check out line was too crowded and way too long(5-15min). So lately Ive been forced to go to the burlington just a few stores down. They have more checkers than tjmaxx has despite having less shoppers. I was checked out in less than a minute. I wish I could rate tjmaxx higher but i cant even shop there right now due to the overly crowded check out line. Bummer.
I shop Home Goods often and love the items I find. Yesterday I had two tables that were tagged and placed up front for me to buy during check out. When I went to check out only one table was up front, someone had taken one. The manager, Ashley was called and she went above and beyond to locate cyber missing table. Ashley walked the walked out line looking in baskets for the table, it wasn’t located. Ashley called security and them to search and sure enough someone had taken the table and was in the store sill shopping. Ashley went to the customer and retrieved my table from their cart. She really helped rectify a bad situation. Thanks Ashley, it was much appreciated.
I was in Homegoods today and Kaitlyn dropped my vase I was purchasing and broke it!!! She had on blue gloves and was not holding it securely and dropped it on the counter smhShe then said “Oh did I break that?” and just sat it to the side and kept ringing things up. Then had the nerve to say “is that all for you today? like she didn’t just break my vase that it took me 3 weeks to find for one of my client’s design projects!!!She then expected me when I called her out for it to go walk find another one. I told her “no, YOU should be looking for another one because YOU broke it!”I asked for a manager and she went to the front and said it was being taken care of and walked away.Yet she failed to include that she just broke the only vase left in the store I needed. I told her manager Steve what happened and how she never even apologize for what she did and he said he would be talking to her about it . He tried calling for other near stores to see if they had it but none had one. He was about to call the Irving store and I told him forget it because I was not driving that far for something I did not even do.So guess what - I was back at square one and had to speaks the next 2-3 hours looking for another vase elsewhere. BAD BAD BAD Customer service and I felt very disrespected and she disregardedwhat she did like it was nothing and this is not a situation to be taken lightly. This really inconvenienced me as a business owner.I go to this location pretty often but they have lost my business.
This location is conveniently located off of 75 north central express way. I like the variety of products, from home furnishings to housewares. Clothing, toys, jewelry, luggage, electronics etc. Seasonal items galore. The staff is awesome. Lots of parking. Youll enjoy the experience.
I dont visit tjmaxx often and was really interested in finding a few rings today. I know at this time everywhere is busy and I get that. Im thinking maybe not a lot of employees available either and I understand that too. Yet I felt so rushed and disregarded today. I didnt care how long I had to wait and was even willing for others to go before me because I know I was going to take a awhile with my choices. The employee there made not so great comments when I started to look at different rings and rushing me as well. Comments were made such as, you better get it, you need to make a choice, you need to hurry up since there are other customers waiting and so on. I told her in the nicest way that I was sorry. Her response was, you dont need the be sorry. Well I thought to tell her, you are making feel like the worst customer ever but I didnt. I rushed and picked a ring I wasnt really sure on but its ok Im going to keep it. I was going to choose a few more pieces to purchase but decided against it. The ring I had tried on before was one I decided not to get since it was too big. She took both of them with her and after repeating myself several times, saying Im only getting one. She ignored me or just wanted to hurry up and finally she heard me. I know you guys are busy and probably short handed but I feel the whole experience makes me not want to ever come back. Ill think about it for a bit.
They dont have any name brands in the mens department it seems like everywhere I go and see a TJ Maxx theyre not getting name brands for men Im not sure if the ladys department is the same but the last few times Ive gone to multiple TJ Maxx stores they dont have any name brands.
This place is full of fun things to get. The prices are very good.Since April 2020 they changed the policies and added rules about masks and entrance/exits and more nonsense rules. Not a place I will go back anytime soon or until they stop acting like it’s the end of the world
Went here on a Thursday around 7:30 pm, plenty of parking space, carts available, not to crowded. The store is clean i didnt see stuff on the floors or aisles, I get what people say about unorganized.. Yeah.. Not as bad as Ross stores but yes.. It needs a little more organization.. I was able to walk all around the store with ease, toy section was clean ( at other stores is always messy) the arrangement of clothes is nice, sizes in order, categories, styles all good, no problem finding a dress for my daughter in her size. The shoes section needed some work..but hey it was almost the end of the day..so it was OK. Over all a good store with speedy check out and good costumer service.
Every single time I go in there I wind up just turning around and walking out. When you have a dozen checkstands, you should not have lines 50 people deep! One line wrapping down and back up is ridiculous. Rockwall location is much better maintained and has enough staff and management to handle customers and not make them wait in line for half an hour.
I love this location. The HomeGoods side is very well organized and well-stocked with great finds and great prices. The TJ Maxx side is fairly small but has some decent finds if you look through hard enough. Could use a mens shoe section. Gets very busy, especially on weekends, but plenty of parking available and staff is courteous and very helpful.
This place is super packed and they dont have many if the name brands that I like to buy I dont normally wear Tommy Hilfiger but I bought a shirt just because I was in the mood to buy some clothing I didnt want to leave empty handed so I bought a brand I normally wouldnt wear or buy PREPARED TO WANT IN LINE TO CHECKOUT
My first time visiting this T.J. Maxx, I was hoping for a good selection of things to buy. Though the selection was okay, the customer service was not up to par. I waited in line to purchase a single item I found and, while waiting, I was told to go to the jewelry counter for quicker check out. When I got to the jewelry counter, I was third in line and waited until I was addressed by the salesperson. She stated that Of course I was told to come to the jewelry counter for quicker check out and that unless I bought jewelry, I couldnt check out. Then, she told me that she would check me out, but that I had to wait for every person surrounding the jewelry counter to be helped before she would ring me up. Ridiculous! I waited my turn and had one item. Not coming back.
While they have a large selection for home it is very unorganized, which makes the shopping experience a bit frustrating. Sales associates are not the most friendly but they’re okay. One of the managers on my way out literally took my bag from me because of a sensor someone didn’t remove. I do understand to a certain point but the way he snatch the bag from me was a little too much. Disappointed about the personal and the way of handling their “customer service” will not coming back to the store.
I wish to be able to give a zero star …. Management it’s horrible … they don’t care about customers … The store has huge potential … however the time you have to Waste waiting in long line It is not acceptable … it’s not worth it … it is really shame they not value customers time.
HomeGoods is dangerous if youre like me. I love how many different things they have and how their selection is constantly changing. They are always a great help and will hold items if it wont fit in the car you brought. I went here first when I bought a new home to decorate.
What unbelievable shopping experience every time I shop here. New things and I always find exactly what Im looking for! Employees are welcoming, friendly, smiles galore! Love to shop here! Once you visit 1st time, you will go back over and over until without a doubt, you will know this store is on your personal favorite!
Great store with wonderful Home items! Lots of different styles to choose from and pricing that is reasonable compared to online. The Checkout Lanes could be managed a little better. They were very long and cluttered with too many goods. But overall the store itself is very nice and I will definitely be coming back!
I love TJ Maxx & Home Goods. I am a local real estate broker, and we help out sellers stage their homes for sale. Home Goods is the place to go! They have super trendy home accessories that will not break the bank. Spending just a couple of hundreds of Dollars, we can refresh the look of any home! What a splurge. Our listings always stand out because of the stunning photos. I also shop here for my home, for gifts, and for outfits. I love the new products and low prices. My number one place to shop for anything home and fashion!
I never write reviews for any one but this young lady is one in million!! Miss Stacie Keeton she is a manager in Home Goods .She is a super great person I can say very kind, generous, responsible, respectful & very much ethical... we have never ever experience this personality in this past 20 years shopping at all TJ MAXX around Dallas metroplex. She pay her full attention on customer service & always been cheerful. Love her beautiful smile. We are not going anywhere until she is there.Zaibee Ali .
I was just told by an Allen, Tx Home Goods/ TJ Maxx employee that they will not police people standing in line ignoring the state mandate of wearing a mask. There were 3 people in line. I also brought it to the attention of a manager on my way out who didnt even respond to me. If Home Goods and TJ Maxx will not enforce the state laws and I come down with COVID because of my trip to the store I will be forced to sue the company. Figure it out and put your customers safety and following the laws like you say you do in your announcements as a top priority. I walked out and did not purchase my items that I had stood in line for more than 30 minutes.
Very disappointed with this locations mindset or atleast one of the cashiers. There was a lady customer being checked out two registers down who we saw enter, pass by the security, shop then check out without a masked. When I asked our cashier if they allowed customers to be serviced without a masked she said its their choice. Its their right to wear one or not. She then stated it was merely a suggestion and not the law. I then explained it to her it was Allens law and it was posted as a statement to the customers as mandatory. She then shrugged her shoulders and said what can we really do about it. We cant tell them to wear one. Yes you can. As a person who has had COVID its a very real and very scary situation. Before COVID i was a healthy individual, now I have asthma due to the sickness. Because there is not enough evidence to predict whether it can be caught again or not its a 50/50. Still leaving me the chance that if i were to catch it again it could lead to a life threatening situation due to asthma. People dont care who they could infect or even kill. And this cashier doesnt seem to care either.
The clothing selection especially for juniors is non existent. The selection is HORRID. But everything here is. From the kids to shoes it’s crappy. Even home goods isn’t that great, the store is a hot mess all the time. The line is what usually makes me put my stuff back and leave. No one wants to wait in that line.
Lots of really nice items for your house at Home Goods at discounted prices. There are some items here that are kind of rare to find at your regular department store. Some things look like theyre from out of the country so its pretty neat. I got some bath salts that came in a mason jar thats really good it has flower petals in it and it feels great in the bathtub. I also got my husband a book end/rock and its made out of a rock thats pretty neat.
The location is huge , didn’t seem to have a lot of stuff in stock . The checkout line was so long I waited in line for about 30 minutes and there was only 3 registers open . The manager should’ve had more employees at the front to help the line go smoother . Everything else is fine just please fix the long lines issue .
Love this location. So so much good stuff packed into one place. I went exactly one month later and saw totally new, amazing stuff. Decor pieces are really trendy and affordable. I cant leave there without lots of fun stuff. Just wish the return policy was more than 30 days.
Lots to choose from but the check-out here is always a ordeal. they might think they have simplified it but its rather intimidating to walk up to a line thats twisted around the store and know that you have to stand there in it. I have been in the store several times and have yet once we walked up by sales associate and asked if I needed any help. The only time Ive ever been talked to by an associate at the store is when I was in the checkout line only other than that if you have to find one you have to go literally find one.
Personally Im not a fan of these types of stores. Its hard to find stuff and if you want pairs of stuff then its even harder. The isles are small and disorganized. Prices are just ok and service was just ok. Im sure plenty of people like this place but its not for me. Needless to say I wont go back.
You never know what you will find in this store. This location is nice in that it is a combo store with tjmaxx so it is quite big. Weekends get pretty crowded. Kirklands, Weirs, Hemisphere are right next door as well so a good area to go to if you are looking for home decor and furniture.
I just love to shop in Homegoods at Allen ! You always find something that you are looking for and that you are not looking for ! It is never the same items. So you need to visit this store often ! If you find something buy it or next time you visit your item will be gone !
Went there today to get something specific. They had it! I got three of them and then looked at the children’s clothes and picked a few items up. I had less than ten things in my basket. Walk to the front of the store to go check out. There’s a line thirty some odd people deep and only four registers open. I stand for a few minutes, maybe 6 or 7. The line doesn’t move. This is around 1pm in the afternoon on a Monday. What in the world??? I put my basket on the ground right where I was standing in line and walked out. This has happened to me at least two other times. They were different days, different times. If they aren’t going to properly staff their store for their rushes, then I’m not going to shop there. Which is a shame because I very much enjoy the store, just not this one.Edit:Went in to make a return an hour before they closed on a Monday. The line was thirty people deep and they had one cashier. There were several other employees getting the store ready to close. I don’t believe it is right to only have one cashier when you have that many customers. I understand that you need people the get the story presentable but customers should come first at all times. I would have waited thirty minutes in that line to return $20 worth of stuff. Not worth it. I don’t think I’ll be back sadly.
Lines are wayyyyyy too long. Great items, fair prices but when its time to check out you just actually leave the cart or at least want to...lines are too long. We live in a microwave society today. People want to get in & out fast as possible and home goods/tj max dont provide that service.
Home Goods/ TJ Max has a little bit of everything at good prices. Its a great place for holiday decor and gifts as well as that miscellaneous houseware you cant live without. Lots and lots of seasonal items. Today the place wa busy and the lines long but the friendly staff had everyone through very quickly. This is a fun place to shop and find bargains.
Homegoods is a nice store that is part of T. J. Maxx. Youll find pots and pans, lamps, bed sheets, pictures and even some furniture. There is also the occasional very large floor ornament. Some items may have slight flaws but in many cases theyre worth the asking price.
I tend to spend more money and time than I promise myself I would before walking in. I love the variety of inventory. Theyre always bursting at the seams with goods for every part of your home. Furniture, organizational tools, kitchen gadgets, gourmet foods, candles, decorations, bedding, bathroom accessories, etc. EtcI cant possibly list it all. Just go check it out. They have quality products at fair prices. Something for everyone. Shabby chic to minimalist style, single folks to party hosts, families with human and fur babies, will all find something they didnt realize they needed. So far Ive purchased quite a bit for my home and will definitely be returning soon.

2022-04-27Took us 30 mins to get thru the checkout line with the 3 cashiers available. Home Goods side was overstocked. Was hard to get through the aisles because everything was just overflowing with products. They were blocking the path. I used to work at a Home Goods and never did we flood the floors that way. There were maybe 20 rolling chairs just in the middle of the aisle. Didnt look nice at all. Tj Maxx side was chaotic with the shoes all over the floor, clothes halfway ripped off hamgers or also on the floor. That being said, they do offer some pretty decent brands in all areas of the store.

2022-02-18The stores combined are very big and have lots of items. Aisles are pretty tight though. Be prepared for a decent wait but what do you expect? 2 stores in 1! Patience people. Staff was very friendly as well.

2022-03-14Despite the long lines, this store has always been one of my favorites. But today I had an experience that changed everything. I went in this morning to return some items. The cashier informed me that one of the items was not sold by the store ( Vera Wang set of hand towels) I was totally confused because I had the receipt with exactly the same item number. Then the cashier called another employee and the lady very disrespectful snatched the receipt from my hand and also insisted that the item didnt belong to the store. Then I was more confused. After the back and forth they both agreed on giving me the refund. After been treated with disrespect and extremely rude, I went and browse around because it is hard not too, and found many Vera Wang towels that they said the store didnt sell. I went up to the cashier, showed and told her to be a little bit more informed of the brands that the store offers, and still she kept on walking to the back of the store with an attitude of I dont care. I understand that it is difficult to know every single brand that the store offers, but at least before treating customers disrepectfully inform your employees how to match item numbers correctly, especially when the client has the receipt with the exact number item.

2022-04-07Every time, there is a desperate long line to checkout, I can’t believe that the store has never added any cashier. Last time, when I really want to buy something, I spent 20mins in store shopping , 45 mins waiting in checkout line…… how sore when I get back home, if you just want a quick shopping trip, try other store

2020-01-25Home Goods & T.J.Max two stores in one. Love to come here, for different seasonal items, home and kitchen stuff. This is the store where i can spend a good 3 hours. Always clean and neat, employees are very friendly and always welcoming. The atmosphere in this store makes me come back again and again. Cant say anything bad. Very pleased. Will continue to shop here.

2022-04-16Selection is good but there is too much wait on weekends. They need to have more employees on days that are busy because employees get tired and snappy too and no one wants to shop at an unpleasant, overworked, underpaid employee store

2022-05-07This is a huge store! It’s very busy, very clean. I always find a ton of stuff that I want to buy here! The womens clothing is rather unorganized, but it does have the largest mens clothing section I’ve seen at a tj maxx.

2022-05-03On May 3rd 2022 about 12:45, waited in your line for 50minutes!!!! Excessive and ridiculous! You really need to divide and conquer your problem. Get registers for TJ Maxx and separate ones for Home Goods. Or, get the employees stocking the men’s clothes up to the front. They were laughing and joking around( wasting time). Joking that a head manager was coming in on 5/4/22!!!! Where is the manager!??The lady in front of me called to complain. The lady behind me called for more to the checkout. She was given an excuse. No excuses… you need to get better. Used to be a favorite store…..not any more!
