Opened at 4pm got there at 4:10 no one was there, everyone started walking in about 4:15, couldn’t get waited on for nothing, never got my drink refilled the whole time I was eating, flies an nats flying all over couldn’t even enjoy the food. Don’t get me started on the food! First an last time we will be here.
Lots of offerings here. Italian fair with sandwiches, salads, and cajun. Cant speak to anything other than sandwiches and pizza. This is my go to pizza joint in town. Excellent pizza that doesnt compare to any of the big corporate gigs. Fresh and tastes real. Ingredients are clearly fresh and real. Crust has a great crunch and flavor. Large pizza is real large, enough to feed 2 adults (lets be real). They dont skimp on the cheese! Very much the style from up northeast. A little pricey but hella worth it! Dont miss this place.
Excellent service. Cute atmosphere. Food came out fast and hot. The alfredo sauce had a little too much oil/ butter but was still delicious. Drinks were always refilled without having to ask. I special order my pizzas bc of a food intolerance and it came out just as I asked. Going back to try some of the other menu items.
A friend once told me Tommasos had the BEST pizzas EVER. I of course did not listen to her until one day we were in Alvin and wanted pizza. We went to Tommaso and ordered the Garlic Alfredo Pizza with Grilled Chicken. WE WILL NEVER ORDER ALFREDO PIZZA FROM ANYWHERE ELSE!! The Alfredo sauce has such a delicious flavor and the chicken adds that extra kick that makes it complete.
Had their lunch buffet. It is a Italian restaurant, but the buffet had all types of food in addition to Italian. I made up my mind I was going to sample all the different food on the buffet which ranged from 4 different pastas, Alfredo, rice, potatoes, an Italian sausage mixture, fried fish, green beans, spaghetti, bell pepper with baked fish, and fresh pizza on the Buffett. It was all fantastic and I may have left one or two things off. I’ll be back again soon.
Billing & customer service issuesI ordered one section of snow crab legs, which was on menu under side item for 10.99. I was brought 2 sections and pointed out that this is not what I ordered but told that it was ok. When the check came, I was charged 33.99 for crab. I pointed out again that I didnt order a lb, and that menu price for a lb was still only 22.99 and I was charged 33.99. The waitress took the issue to the manager, who said market price went up and he would only take 5 off. Check menu, this is not even listed as a market price item. Also, I had to send it back to the pot once because it was frozen the first time it came out. Customer service on issues they created needs to be better. We will not be returning.
Always great service, great atmosphere, foods delicious. And I really enjoyed watching the crayfish in the back swimming around with my son! He totally loved it . Will be back 100% ,always. Our server , i didnt catch her name is a younger blonde lady , she is the sweetest ever 💗💕 Ive had her a couple times .
O we had fish and oyster Rockefeller I loved the batter it was light and crunchy. Not just. Cornmeal. Good. Oysters w bacon spinach. And alftedo. Sauce big juicy and delicious. Reasonable. 12 oysters 4 pieces of fish and 2.o ear to add salad bar. It was solo good for less then 40.09. For two. Only complaint very am crackers were stale. Excellent food will go again thanks Shelley Smith and Gary Grayson
Cannot say enough good things about this place. The first time we ate there, our two year old was being cranky and the staff went out of their way to help keep her happy. THEN, we ordered boiled shrimp tonight and OMG! Definitely tasted like it was from Louisiana (my home state) and the sausage and potatoes were huge! Can’t wait until a little further into crawfish season to try their crawdads. Definitely will be going more often!
Do not waste your time. Or money. It’s not worth the drive even if it is across the street. Rude waitresses….if you even see any. Ordered 5 lbs. of crawfish. Got two pounds. Waitress argued with us. Even another customer at the bar saw the bowl and asked us if that was 5 pounds. He said it didn’t look like it either. Maybe 2 pounds. The waitress was talking about us in the restaurant. Never did the owner come over and speak to us about it. We waited 35 minutes for the crawfish. Kept giving us excuses.
It was a night after bowling a group of us decided to stop in. It was late and they were about to close. The owner was still there and invited us in like we were their first customers for the day. Our waiter was just as friendly and inviting. We will definitely return.
Ordered dinner for the family tonight, and had to call 3 times before I was informed that they were short staffed and running behind. To top it off, after waiting almost 2 hours, the whole order wasn’t even here, the shrimp was missing and the fried mushrooms and fried pickles were soggy. It seemed as if there was no communication between the receptionist and delivery crew. We were also offered condiments but we did not receive them. We asked for 5lb spicy and 5lb mild crawfish and both tasted mild. I would not recommend this restaurant or their delivery service to anyone and we almost paid $100. Keep in mind, I only live 3 minutes from Tommaso’s. Was looking forward to their crawfish and ended up disappointed.
Ordered take out twice in last 30 days. Both trips to pick up food ended with the same problems. Not ready on time. In fact If you like standing around for at least twenty minutes after you arrive on time then you will be right at home. There are not even any customers dinning in due to covid so all they have to doIs cook the food and bag it. I ordered early and they had an hour and half to make a simple order. Food is decent but it’s not worth the pain of waiting through the aggravation to get it.
Got the bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo, it was enough for 2 ppl, served with garlic bread and or crackers. Super flavor and a cup of rice in the middle of the bowl. Also got a medium pizza. Pep. and hand rolled meatballs, spinach and fresh motts. Pizza dough is tender and just a little toasty on the edges. Perfect.
Service was terrible. The food was good. We had to ask for lettuce to be put out at the salad bar. After we got our food no one came and refilled our drinks. We had to wave someone down. There were only two servers and our table of two and one other table of three. Our server went and sat in the bar area on his phone and never came and spoke to us again. He looked right at me and I signaled we needed the check after sitting for about ten minutes waiting for someone to come check on us. He looked at me and went and sat a table and got on his phone. We will not be returning again.
Awsome!!!! Food, atmosphere, and service.Crawfish was the bomb..finally a restaurant that can cook the crawfish right. The oysters and shrimp are huge and cooked perfect. The patio is so nice and welcoming. This will be our go to for seafood cooked the cajun way.Jessica, our waitress was so friendly and made us feel right at home there. First class food and service!
Amazing Sicilian pizza....huge and loaded with toppings...fantastic flavor!!!Best pizza around. The Eggplant Parmesan was very good--although it could have been a little larger portion... Salad bar lacking...not really a salad bar in my opinion just some lettuce and a few accompaniments.Waitresses are kinda rude. But all in all its a good place to eat.
There’s nothing bad to say about Tommaso’s. I have been a loyal customer since I was in high school back in the late 70s. The pizza and pasta are superb. Sal is the current owner and mainstay at Tommaso’s and greets everyone with a hello and a friendly smile. Sal keeps up with the sports bar theme as well. So, go in for visit, have slice of pizza and a cold beer to watch the game. Crawfish are on the menu when in season.
I was craving some ñ crawfish, and man... it was some good stuff! Some were over cooked, but it was pretty good! I’ve heard the pizza there is super good, but gotta wait a while. Next time will for sure try one!Our server was kinda rude. I don’t know if it was because we sat ourselves? (There was no sign and first time I went so I wasn’t sure). My baad.
$30 for a 2 topping pizza. I ordered the special with 2 extra toppings, all I got was the 2 toppings I ordered extra. Cheese bread was just that, cheese melted on po boy bread. Hot wings had absolutely no heat. Only redeeming quality was the pizza that was wrong. Would probably have been good if it was right.
The past 3 times have been great. Although tonight super disappointed. Order for pick up (told be ready in ten mins) 5lbs of crawfish(spicy) which didn’t even taste as spicy as the last times. I picked up the order, got home ready to eat and NOTICED there was no seasoning or butter and the lady didn’t even offer any. Knowing I got crawfish you should ask the customer if they need anything else but she was too busy answering phones and then the crawfish was totally cold. The worst $28 dollars spent. I will not be going back
Me and my husband have been interested in trying this place for quite a while now. Last night we finally did! And I must say... BEST crawfish we have ever had!!!! I see some negative reviews about service but last night I heard them say they were short handed and we still had exceptional service!! We will be back! Keep doing what y’all are doing because it is working!! See y’all soon!!
My food was over cooked. I hate dry crunchy chicken wings. The food was over priced. The server was good. She took care of me well but I was the only person in there at the time. I went to use the restroom before I left it was NASTY!!! Looked as if it hand not been cleaned in days. And there were roaches in the bathroom. Its a good place to have a beer at night. But 40 years of being opened I would expect a lot more than that. Very disappointed.
The food is outstanding. My family ate there twice this week. We ordered oysters, crawfish and catfish and pizza for the kids. All of them were great. The first order of crawfish were seasoned to hot. We had requested they not be hot. They cooked up a fresh order right away. The staff were all very willing to be as helpful to meeting our needs as soon as possible. If you are expecting traditional waitstaff behavior you may be disappointed. They are very layed back. I highly recommend this place.
I didnt actually eat here. My fiances step dad took me here to talk, after I told him I was marrying his son. He told me that I had to get out of the house and go somewhere else. He was just mad that he cant make decisions for his son anymore, who is an adult. Him and my fiances mom were (and still are) in complete denial that its happening, and are super disrespectful, and are only dooming themselves. I swear they dont want him happy. Step dad left me at the restaurant by myself, an 18 year old girl, with a low battery phone with no service. Its a good thing this place has free wifi. There was also a very nice guy that worked here that got me water and asked if I wanted anything else to drink, but I said no. He was very sweet, and Im thankful for him. Sorry for the mini rant.
I enjoy the food. Havent been dissatisfied once. Im use to just eating the pizza because I stick to what works but finally been trying some of there menu items and been very pleased. I really like the chicken alfredo and just tried there philly cheesesteak and wow is it good.
Started coming here a year ago for crawfish, it was great! After the season was over, we started trying the different Italian food. We were NOT disappointed. We as a family havent had a thing we didnt like!We are still going for our crawfish there. The secret there is to order it mild or spicy, the one time we ordered spicy & got mild they took it away with no problem & we received new batch just the way we love it!The owner is awesome, he always welcomes you & jokes with you. Sometimes needs more staff. But, in my opinion, wonderful family place!Keep up the great work!
Went there last Friday night and the craw fish was very bland, order was not correct and when it was corrected the sausage was cooked in straight water, no seasoning, every TV in the place was tuned to basketball, there are other sports that some people find more exciting. When the couple that was with us order was brought out it was incorrect. They were very busy and I know that had something to do with it as I have been going there for years and have ALWAYS enjoyed it. Will still go and give them another chance. We paid our bill without complaining as it is NOT totally the waitresses fault. NEEDS the craw fish cooked in the powdered spice.
My mom and I just moved to this area and was looking for a great place to eat lunch on Saturday’s. The first time we ate here I ordered a Philip cheesesteak and French fries, which was great. Today, our second Saturday coming here was not so great, actually it was REALLY BAD! I ordered the Italian sub with French fries this time. When our food came to the table it looked really good. I began eating and after eating half of it noticed this sub just didn’t taste right, kind of foul. I opened it up to see if anything looked weird. All of the salami on it was BROWN! When my server came to the table which unfortunately couldn’t speak much English I asked him what this kind of meat was( I don’t complain much and I thought maybe it was something else). He took the plate with the rest of the salami I pulled off of the sub and asked another worker for me. As he returned he then told me that it was in fact salami. I instantly left baffled as to why it is brown!Fast forward a few hours later:I started feel very ill. I started vomiting with uncontrollable nausea, and a horrible stomach ache. I had to end up going to the ER because I could not stop vomiting and the nausea was unbearable! I ended up with a diagnosis of food poisoning and unfortunately have to blame it on the restaurant because this is all I had eaten all day. (I’m a VERY built mom of 3 and also a business owner that doesn’t make much time for myself) I have 2 stars because my first visit here was amazing, but granted I now have food poising from bad meat, something I hope to never have again and will not return to this restaurant nor will my family!
The food was good! My husband had the crawfish and I had the chicken parmesan. I think my order got lost because it didnt come until my hubs was already done eating. However, the staff was very nice and the atmosphere is relaxed. Ice house style decor. I would come back, and I am sure the issue with my order being late was just a fluke. :)
AaaaaaaaaMazing..... We had 5lbs of Crawfish for $34.95 as an appetizer. Great taste was great spices too. For the main course Crawfish PIZZA. I SHARED pictures. Great service great food right off hwy 6 and Gordon Street in Alvin. Please go give it a try I highly recommend it.
This was my first visit in 7 years and it did not disappoint! The food was hot and flavorful, and the staff was very accommodating, even at 1 hour to close. No rush, no drop in quality overall. Prices were reasonable and the food came out in no time. Menu was diverse and a little of something for everyone. Would definitely recommend.
OMG is how I would describe their Seafood and Chicken Gumbo. It was an explosion of goodness in my mouth and ever since all Gumbo has to compare to this wonderful goodness my taste buds experienced.Staff is friendly. Owner is present in his business and it shows by how packed the restaurant is, even on a typical slow night for the restaurant industry.
Food is amazing as always but sadly I had to eat mine cold. The customer service here badly needs to be addressed. Everytime we order its 80 or 90 dollars even with good tip but every time something is forgotten. The lady on The phone tonight was very dry didnt want to be there. They for got our bread and cheese sticks . I went to get them and they forgot half the cheese sticks then only gave me half the bread. I told the lady and they got the cheese sticks for me but said I was wrong on the bread. I order here all the time I know what it should be. Rude and didnt even try to do anything extra just oh well. I did not get what I paid for I will not be back, sadly I ve tried several times.
This place was a childhood favorite. They were always kind to my dad and I and so I wanted to take my 2yr old daughter there since I just came back home to visit after about 10 years. Not only was the good undercooked, the waitress tried to keep the change from our Bill and play it off like she gave it to us. Our table wasnt The only one to report something wrong with The food as there were 3 others about The same time. The service really has gone down since then. My husband, my daughter and myself got good poisoning from there. Will not go back ever. What happened?!
This has been a very good place to get much better than chain pizza for many years. We always end up getting pizza because its our favorite local pizza joint. Eat in or get it to go. The owner is a good guy who grew up locally and is really a part of the community.Ive recommended the pizza here to many people over the years and have gotten a lot of good feedback and thanks.
Wait staff was super friendly, but the food was not very good. Fried shrimp was the only good dish we had.Child plate ravioli sauce looked and tasted horrible.Buffet items were not fresh at all and we were there at 12:30pm!Salad bar ingredients looked like they were straight out of the bottom of a can. Gross!Pizza was way too greasy.
Went to this place to eat crawfish. We waited an hour to get them. The only thing the waitress kept saying was let me check on them and see whats the problem.... She never came back to explain anything and she would walk away half way through her sentence. Also there were people who got there after us that received their crawfish before us. Another thing is we ordered 5lbs and only received 2lbs. They explained that if we wanted more to ask.... Why would we have to ask for more when we had already ordered 5? We were really let down. Definitely would not recommend this place.
Went here for a presentation with a group. Over all the meals which we had a few options to choose from, came out good. However the salad bar was not good at all. The tomatoes were really mushy and the other stuff wasnt cut up hardly at all so it made it very awkward to eat. Never hardly saw the waitress to get our drinks refilled.
I was disappointed I drove an hour to get here . There Buffett look amazing on social media and they had such good reviews . But didnt deliver . There Buffett had dry old pasta only to pizzas that looked to be a few hours old I was there for over and hour and nothing was changed or add to the buffet. The crawfish was ok but the corn was still cold .
As long as I have lived in the area this is my first time in. I wanted some crawfish and thats what I received, 5 lbs to be exact with shrooms added on. I was expecting 10 or so shrooms but only 6 made it to us. Not enough as they were delicious. Its early so wasnt expecting anything giant. They were nicely seasoned medium to large crawfish. On one note though, there were quite a few pre dead crawlies that were not edible. Not the best but definitely worth the stop. My son wanted pizza, so a medium cheese pizza it was. I quickly stole a piece and the pizza was really good. Crust had the perfect amount of pull to it. Overall Tommasos was a nice spot to hang out and enjoy some good food. Server was really nice and accommodating. It was not busy at all when we arrived, maybe 3 other people in the place.
Good for no beer selection, had to ask for our food. Weve been there 3 times hoping it was a fluck. Lots of tvs. Not sure about anything else. Fight broke out in the kitchen one time. Family owned. Family problems. Tried to support local businesses. Cant do this one anymore .
Had an hour lunch break, I dont recommend going unless you have at least 2 hours to kill in the middle of the day. Was going to order the buffet, at 1pm, but there was only 1 pizza, no pasta, and there were some wierd veggies. Asked the server if that was all and she said there were going to be more coming out, yeah 1 other pizza and that was it. There were 5 tables of people in there and there wasnt any food. Not a good place at all. If you offer a buffet then you need to have a buffet, not a single pizza and say its a buffet then charge $10.99 for it.
Ive ordered take out pizza at least once a month for years. I prefer the crust from these hand tossed pies, and the ingredients seem to be high quality and fresh. I definitely prefer it to any of the chain pizza places in Alvin.Dining it, I go with seafood, especially the scallops.I read some of the negative reviews, and I can only say they seem to be totally unrelated to my dining experiences over the years. If my review seems too positive, remember that Im rating this restaurant agains other choices in Alvin. It really is about the best local seafood Ive had, and clearly my preference for take out pizza.
We love Tomassos, hands down!! Best crawfish, great prices, and best Italian food ever... The owner is very friendly, always communicating with the customers, and eager to give you the best dining experience ever! Been enjoying their food since the 80s and will continue to go back for a great meal with great prices 😃
Excellent pizza. Ive ate many pizzas from many places, even Tonys in San Francisco, and this place is very good. The calzones are excellent. I will give it a 5 star but the owner needs to straighten up his waitresses. The many times i been there and ALL waitresses in their act the same. It almost looks like the women staff come into an agreement when they come to work to have bad character.
I place an order of 10pounds of crawfish and it didn’t have no flavor and I called to let them know that it didn’t have any flavor and it was like they didn’t care I will never ever buy from them and I always get them there year after year but not anymore bye Tommasons y’all lost my support
Tonight the food and the service was terrible. The shrimp are farm raised, they used an American cheese slice in my baked potato, yuck, and the crawfish tore apart, theres was no getting them out of the shell. We sent it all back and I was still charged half the price for the shrimp dinner bc I ate my salad and 3 shrimp. Not impressed and not too happy with this establishment. Will probably not return.
We are vacationing from Austin and wanted to try something local. Great atmosphere. Staff and owner were very nice and accommodating. We had spaghetti with meat sauce, meatball poboy and chicken alfredo pizza. All were delicious. And we were able to see a live broadcast from the local news. Definately stop by and have a meal or two. This place is a TEN.
Me and my family ordered food from Tommaso`s! My aunt ordered some seafood lasagna and didnt get the seafood in it! We called back and the worker said oh we ran out of sea food so we didnt bother makeing it we also got a drink with the straw already in it we paid alot of money and didnt get all of our food did i say we had to wait 2 and a half hours.
My children and i went here as a last minute, didnt feel like going far, decision. So glad we did. Im from Louisiana. This was the best seafood gumbo i have ever bought outside of Louisiana. The fried catfish and shrimp were amazing and the grilled chicken and shrimp alfredo pasta was the best. Nothing but a pleasant experience. Wait staff was so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning often.
New to town and my son wanted pasta so I looked up this place and thought wed give it a try. Stood there tonight for 10 minutes at the front and not one person even acknowledged me us. The moment we walked out some other people walked through the front door and they were immediately greeted. I cant comment on the food.
Been in here twice already and the group of us love the food. The waitress is nice and funny. All the cajun and seafood is amazing and the pasta will put 5 star resturaunt pleasure in your mouth. Love this place. Call it a hole in the wall. Call it what you want. I am calling it dinner until I leave for my next job.
Never again 45 min wait for a pasta and a sub, with only three more tables in the entire restaurant its just unacceptable. The pasta was over cooked and the sub was made poorly. The waiter choose to not write the order and forgot the appetizer. Over all wouldnt recommend it to anyone .
Terrible place to eat. Shouldnt be called a Italian restaurant because they dont know how to cook real Italian food. The food shouldnt make you have to run to the restroom 20 minutes after you leave the restaurant, tmi I know but I rather people know how bad it is.First time my aunt and I ate this restaurant so we didnt know we had to seat ourselves since we came in the side door. There were two waitresses having a conversation about movement of a servers table. We said excuse me, and one of the girls looked at us but continued to talk about their table re-assignment. I said it more forcefully asking if we could be seated, and she replied that we could sit where ever we wanted. We sat down one of the girls followed us to take our drink order, but waited 10 minutes till we actually got our drinks from a different waitress from the two previously stated. She than asked if we were ready to order which I replied could you please give us 5 more minutes this is the our first time here. After 5 minutes we were ready, and we waited an additional 10 mins. till a different waitress from the previous three came and took our order. After she took our order we asked if she could turn up the heat because it was warmer outside than in to the point that I had to go outside to get my jacket from the car, the heat was never turned up during our stay. The wait for the food was between 30-40, and when we received it we were not impressed. The food was not steaming hot, and seemed to have been sitting for a while before it was brought out. My aunts dish which was an Italian combination of three different foods was served in a bowl dish. We thought they gave her the wrong order because there was no way to tell what its was with the sauce and cheese covering the whole dish. My aunt used her knife and fork to dig around the dish to figure out what was what, and on top of that the noodles and pasta of the dish were over cooked. My sausage parm. sandwich was a 4 out of 10, and one of the things I noticed about my meal was that the sausage was difficult to eat/chew.When the waitress gave us our food she informed us that my aunts garlic bread would be out shortly. We noticed throughout our time there that the only tables that were getting better service than us were either regulars or tables that had more than 4 people. Around us there were tables of 2s and 3s that were getting the same kind of service as we were.We continued to wait for the bread, and the during our meal we needed a refill. It got to the point that I had to flag her down and say can we have a refill to actually get one.We finished our meal, but still had not received the garlic bread. We flagged down the girl that gave us our drinks when we first got there to ask if she could check something for us. She thought we said check as in to pay and she yelled for our waitress to get our check. I said no we have been waiting for garlic bread can you please go check and see if its ready. Our waitress came with our check and walked away before we could talk to her. The other waitress that yelled for our waitress walked by our table five minutes later, and said that the manager was going to come talk to us. After 10 minutes we got tired of waiting, and went to the front counter where the manager was talking to another employee. We told him it was our first and last time coming here because it was that bad, and started to explain to him our experience. But it got to the point when he started to offer us a discount on something that my aunt got fed up, paid the bill, and we left.So please do not go to this restaurant if you are wanting to try a non chain restaurant. Go to Olive Garden instead, since the wait staff dress and act more professional, and the food actually taste like Italian food there.
Went there March 8th 2015 2PM started out with crawfish. They were terrible the melted butter was nothing but flavored oil. When my server asked me about the crawfish , I told her they were not good . All she said was sorry. Didnt try to make it right.I ordered a steak sandwich. Had to take it to go because they took too long to make it.Worst customer service Ive experienced in a while!!
My family and I have eaten here a few times. Usually we order their pizza which is pretty good. Well, my brother and I went to Tommasos the other night, we ordered 2 sodas, the Philly cheese steak, a double cheeseburger, & fried pickles for an appetizer. We brought a coupon - Buy one entree and 2 drinks get a second entree free. The appetizer took 35 minutes to get to our table, 5 minutes before our entrees were brought. My Philly had 3 very small, thin slices of steak per half (12in sub = 6in halves) with onions and peppers to fill the rest of space. Basically, a veggie sub.My brothers cheeseburger had those pre-made frozen burger patties that you buy from the grocery store. He ate about half before he said he couldnt anymore. Our server was not friendly, and seemed annoyed that we were there. In fact, looking around it seemed as if all three servers were annoyed by their facial expressions. Our server did not return to our table after the food was delivered until we had been finished for a few minutes. When asked how everything was, I calmly explained how it was not the best experience having been return customers and why. She then replied with she would get the manager and walked away. The manager walked over, handed us our bill, and asked how everything was. Again, my brother calmly repeated our disappointments as we stood up to go pay. His response, which probably made me the most angry and the decision to leave a review, was Well you know, (referring to my coupon) you did get one of the entrees for free so.. maybe it will be better next time. shrugged and walked away. You could easily tell the table next to ours, 4 adults and 4 kids, was highly frustrated and unhappy with their server as well.
Went to this place based off of their reviews... First impression was cute a little whole in the wall, hopefully the food will be great However, this was not the case. My husband got the crawfish with corn on the cob and sausage, it was SO over seasoned that he couldnt properly enjoy his meal. The corn seemed like it was in a brine for days, it was mushy and soaked to the core. I myself got the crawfish etoufee the waitress said it was one of the restaurants best meals. It was alright.. nothing to ride home about.. Im a pretty easy person to please, i love a good mcdonalds cheeseburger. Anyways my etoufee tasted purely of only celery and flour, assuming they make their base by scratch they added WAY to much flour. While trying to eat our food flies kept landing on everything ruining our appetite further and just making us want to get out of that place as quickly as possible. Forget about taking leftovers home because in the race to eat your food the flies win.. i would NOT recommend this place.
Very poor service! I walk in and the waitressJust looked at me didnt say anything to me.I had to say hello, then she turned awayI stood there looking for a table. So I walked around and found the bar hidden in the back.I ordered a hamburger, it took about twenty minutes to get it to me.there were no other customers in the restaurant. The bartender kept hanging out at the front counter answering the phones. Their menu is very large, took a minute to look over the menuNot very organized, they had a laundry basketAnd a leaf blower inside by the dining tablesWow!!!
Sandwich was served on broken plate that had a hole completely thru middle of plate. I did not realize this until after eating part of first half of sandwich because second half covered hole up. I sent sandwich back and only paid for my drink. This was cooks fault for not properly inspecting plate before serving food on it.
Sal and his employees are always friendly and welcoming. The menu offers down home Italian favorites & assorted Bar munchies. But Tommasos is best known for its fresh homemade pizzas. At the Bar they offer a wide selection of Draft & Bottled Beer, & four big screen TVs. And my favorite thing of all is the palapas patio, with a small fire pit, three big screen TVs, and occasionally live entertainment.
Covid-19...No problem Sal got you.... I called no answer...Sal called me back....told me he was open...i order Lg pepperoni and a Lb of boiled shrimp...food was hot and delicious....even at9:30 pm on a Sunday...Thanks....Ps....my eyes were bigger than my stomach...at least Ill lunch for work tomorrow....

2022-07-18Our fries were brought out 15 minutes before our burger. They use canned marinara for the chicken Parmesan. The salad bar was so sad.Waitress had an uninterested attitude.Waitress would try to take our food before we were done. Our food was brought out 10 minutes apart.Only thing good is the blooming onion.Edit: I just tried my chicken Parmesan and it was.. not very pleasant. Just canned marinara and bland chicken. I took it home to my dog.

2022-06-11I tried the spaghetti Tommaso. My buddy had a pizza topped with spinach chicken onion sausage and mushroom. Founded in Alvin Tx in 1977. This place has one best pasra and best pizza of the year by the city of Alvin and I can taste why. This dish checks all my boxes. Defines worth the drive.

2022-04-19Wife and I travel full time in RV and we decided to try this little place in Alvin Texas. What we found was a Hidden Gem. What AMAZING hand made, hand tossed everything with REAL everything.. NOTHING was prefabbed. You talk about Good food.. You MUST try this place. If you leave here hungry, shame on you. This LITTLE restaurant is quaint, accommodating, close by the Alvin RV Resort we were staying at and our waiter was SUPER friendly and didnt let our tea get 1/2 empty. Food was delivered surprisingly fast. Owner even stopped by our table to ask how things were. This place is HIGHLY recommended.

2022-02-15The Wait time was very long but the server was great. I got the salad bar and soup. The salad bar looked gross and I had to put my hands into the liquid of the pineapple to get the salad pongs. The soup was salty and tasted like metal. I still have the medal flavor in my mouth. My husband ordered the cat fish sub. It had 2 pieces of catfish on dry bread. They gave us tarter sauce and packages of Mayo. I took a bit of his and it was super dry. My son said his burger had chunks of lettuce on the side with nothing else. He also said his hamburger was dry. The food was expensive and the portions were small. My other son who had the rice said it had no flavor and needed some kind of sauce. I personally will never eat here again.

2022-04-24It was about 3 1/2 stars the stuffed 🍤 didnt have a whole lot of taste,I enjoyed everthing else. My wife didnt care to much for the stuffed 🍤 or stuffed jalapenos and the blooming onion didnt have a enough batter on it , it was greasy. The jumbo was real good and the service was too. Next i will try the 🍕.

2022-06-27Service was great, food was pretty good, and had a huge menu comprised of Italian and Seafood, like Gumbo and Crawfish...interesting combination of cuisines. I liked it tho. 👍 If I were to improve anything it would be the salad bar, pretty basic with just lettuce, ranch, & croutons scooped with a plastic ramekin 😬.

2022-05-01Food was OK waitress was maybe the worst Ive ever seen. Very unfriendly and obviously did not want to be there. Its a people job and if youre not good with people work in the kitchen. Only words that came out of her mouth were..Do you want your change. Definitely off of our list of good Alvin restaurants and I wont be back.

2022-07-17This deserves zero stars. I ordered a pizza last night for a family of 4. I was supposed to have gotten a pan crust pizza. Im staying a mile down the street…on the same street. They delivered me a very small regular crust pizza…barely enough to fill up 2 people and it was almost $40!!! Called back and the guy told me it was pretty much my tough luck and not to order online. Not acceptable. I will never order another pizza from this place ever again. And I will definitely spread the word. Next time I’ll call Dominos and Pizza Hut. Probably could’ve gotten 3 regular pizzas for the same price.

2021-01-26The inside of this place looks rad. Seems like a great place to grab a beer and watch the game.Picked up a Pepperoni Pizza. The crust was my favorite. It was crispy and crunchy at every bite. The toppings were pretty basic. Pretty much what you would expect from a good Italian place. Nothing too fancy at a great price. The lasagna was messy but tasty. The sauce is decent. Again, nothing too posh but still hits the spot. Sports bar style Italian food. The Buffalo wings were cooked perfectly and Im sure the sauce is just general Franks sauce. They were sauced generously, which I love.We will be returning soon. Next time to dine in, with a beer in hand. Maybe try some seafood next. 🤙
