Tumble22 Chicken Joint - Cedar Park in other cities:
Ladies and Gentz... I met my match. If you know anything about me, youll learn that I love spicy food. Almost everything I eat has some type of kick to it... but this was our first time trying this place and it was delicious!I got the chicken sandwich (Stupid Spicy) with a side of dirty mac and cheese.BEWARE - I quickly learned that the Stupid Spicy is made with Ghost Peppers 🌶!
Before you head out to dine, make sure you have masks with you. They are not allowing customers without masks. We went in for lunch. This was our first time dining at Tumble22. We ordered the “Mo hot” spice levels for our chicken. The spice level was just right for us.The Cobb salad was great too and we ordered the chocolate cream pie for dessert, the quantity was too much even for three of us to finish after the chicken and salad. It was a good experience. Just a couple things, we had to wait quiet a long time for our food to arrive. And, also the servers don’t ask for refills, you’ll have to call them to get a refill of soda/iced tea.
OG sammich is legit. You need about 4 hands to hold the entire thing.Their regular bone on chicken from this location is dry and flavorless and expensive. Popeyes has better flavor. However, the quality of chicken is solid. No fatty bits.Their cheese sauce is great.Their macaroni and cheese is always mealy. Do not order this. They always keep you waiting if you order online and do pick up. I would recommend the drive thru to save yourself time.
Update: 10/03/2021 - Tumble 22 is open inside now. The inside is really cool, with a nice bar. The outside seating has a large cooling fan and is shaded nicely. Im adding two more stars to my rating because their OG chicken sandwich is amazing and their draft beer is nice and cold.Previous review:Chicken is good, but they changed their policies so you cant get a mix of hotness when you order a 12 piece. We wanted 1/2 mild and 1/2 more spicy. But they dont do that anymore. I needed to spend over $5 more to get two 6 piece meals. Seems like a pretty silly rule. If the issue is cost related, because of two separate boxes, then just ask if the customer is ok with putting all the chicken in the same box.
Food was really good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best SERVICE ever, chicken was better than good it was terrific and delicioso. I was watching dora the EXPLORER with my 6 1/2 kids and step brother husband while eating this and I couldnt have been more pleased. Thank you for your service and all that you do for this country? WE could not have ever done this (ate) without you guys. Have a good funeral! byE!
Fried Chicken is delicious. Has a nice kick in favor and not greasy!!! There is a couple prices if bread at the bottom of the box that absorbs any grease. If your up for the challenge try a piece. Its pack with a bang of flavor. The spicier you on go on flavor, the hotter the bread tastes... Beware. Lol.
This place is pretty good in you are craving spicy chicken. The original location is much better; however, this will do to satisfy the craving. I was surprised to find grape soda on tap! The fries are very crispy and addicting. The chicken bites were not evenly flavored. Some were spicy and some bland. For a busy Saturday lunch I was in and out quickly which is a plus. Overall it’s worth a try.
Tumble 22 in Cedar Park continues to improve their service. And the food is great, as always. The shoestring fries are back! After an issue with their fry vendor, I’m happy to report things are back to normal at Tumble. Management is working hard to hire quality people, and I received great service today. Head on over to the Tumble 22 in Cedar Park (or Burnet or Round Rock) and enjoy some delicious Nashville hot chicken!!
Been a regular customer since November, this is the best place ever! The food is great the managers are so understanding and its so fast and faultless. We always come back with more people, drinks are strong and yummy and you can never go wrong with some fried chicken and the best mac n cheese in town
Really good food. I ordered a wimpy 1/4 dark with Mac n cheese and fries and some ranch. This is more subjective but Im not a fan of shoestring fries. That being said they have good flavor. Mac was perfect. Great flavor and good consistency. Chicked has good flavor and great satisfying crisp. I plan ordering the hot text time I go. I wanted to try the wimpy just to get sense of the favor. Do yourself a favor if your into bread and butter pickles ask for extra
The food is amazing... I generally get the 3 piece jumbo tenders, mo hot, with a side of fries. Doesnt disappoint. Youll enjoy the chicken.-3 stars because of my dine in experience. Very slow. We were told that someone is coming for what felt like an hour when youre borderline hangry (but most likely 15 min). Got impatient and decided to order inside as waiting some more would have been Insanity.A little acknowledgement goes along way. - a usually patient patron.
Great food, but lets give props to the service. One person took my to-go order, and another employee who was busy doing other things did a superb follow up to make sure I didnt wait long for my order. She had a bandana, glasses, and an awesome attitude. Props to Tumble 22 for focusing on the main ingredient, which is great service!!!!
I’ve been in the Austin area for nearly a year now and I haven’t found amazing fried chicken……until now. I am almost angry at myself for driving over 20 minutes for what I thought was gonna be mind blowing food just because it was downtown or near that area. Little did I know I had a gem right in my neighborhood. Officially The Best Chicken in Austin in my books. Can’t wait to go back!
I find their specialty sandwiches to be amazing! They change monthly and I have yet to find one that isnt great. Granted, some are better than others (personal taste) but on the whole pretty darn great. They are usually swamped, so wait staff tends to be stressed and moving at breakneck speed trying to keep up!
Love the chicken bites dang hot. Id describe it as chicken wings for non chicken wings people. They discontinued the beer cheese unfortunately but the queso in my opinion is just as good. The fries are a little thin for my taste, they seem a bit understaffed but Ive always had friendly interactions with people working there.
My experiences with tumble22 is mainly through the drive through and curbside pickup. The food has always been top notch and delicious each time. The drive through is usually fast and consistent with their food. Other than 1-2 times with wrong order and delays, Ive never had an issue. However every time Ive ordered curbside pickup, it has been horrendously slow. I arrive within 1-2 minutes of the pick up time (25-30 after orde4). The food is never delivered quickly. On average, I have to wait >25 minutes in my car after following the curbside procedure. Often times I have to go in and ask for my order. I can understand if theres a large amount of customers, but there are at max 2-3 tables with customers each time. And, usually the food is just sitting somewhere if they dont lose my order. I understand the service is a convenience; but if there is such a lack of attention towards curbside pickup, then dont offer it at all.Tldr: dont order online curbside, just go through the drive through
Great food! Dont get curbside and expect them to bring it out to you, its not going to happen. The last three times Ive ordered curbside I have been severely disappointed. I get there a couple minutes early, text them, then wait. About 15 minutes later I walk in and my food is sitting at a sad table inside. The last time I went in the person in charge blamed it on cell service, which is complete BS. There are plenty of remedies for bad cell service.Do curbside or dont, I dont mind the drive through, I just want to know what to expect. If this establishment has no interest in doing curbside anymore, remove the option from your website, remove the signs, and own it. Youre just angering people otherwise.
Omg! My best friend lives in Cedar Park and when I visit from Dallas this is a must. Chicken is seasoned so well with a spicy edge. The loaded fries are scrumptious!! The food is prepared fresh and there is a wait but well worth it. I hope there is a plan to expand to Dallas (hint hint)
Im usually pretty lenient and chilled as a customer as Ive worked in the industry. But, todays service was bad and thats why Im writing this review.Got seated and waited for 20 minutes before I had to flag down the server. Towards the later end of the 20 mins, I was watching her sit a table down and take their order.Food order came out and I didnt get the right spice level. I assumed they had the spice levels mixed up with my girlfriend. Then the receipt came and I saw that the spice levels werent correct and the prices were wrong on some items, and had to ask them to fix happy hour prices on on two items. Then when the receipt was brought back, there was an additional adder for extra cheese which I never ordered. Had to ask them to fix it again. While I understand restaurants are short staffed nowadays, it didnt excuse the experience I had today. It wasnt that busy. Contemplated about walking to Costco and just grabbing their 5 dollar rotisserie chicken during this whole ordeal. Wouldve been better.Consider taking it out instead.Edit: They didnt respond to my email per their comment. PR sucks too. Spend your money elsewhere.
The quality of service has deteriorated. I ordered the food at drive-thru, upon opening the food, I found no bread and pickle. This is disappointing especially when cashier confirmed that the meal comes with a bread and pickle along with the two sides. I called the store immediately and was told they must have forgot it and thats it. Is this some kind of a joke.
I arrived at around 1:00 pm on a Thursday, most tables were full and my party of 3 was seated right away. I ordered an OG chicken sandwich with the mo hot sauce, and the sandwich came out amazing. Cost was about 11 dollars which is pretty standard for a sit down burger/chicken sandwich. The sandwich was pretty large so I decided to cut my sandwich in half and after it sitting for about 20 minutes it still glistened with juices.Svea was our waitress and she did a fantastic job of making sure we were well taken care of, having about a dozen other tables that I witnessed her serve. The only reason Ive given it a 4 star is the fries were overcooked as if they had been fried twice, or I had some from a previous and a new batch. The real kick is, of the sides they offered I didnt notice that the fries cost an extra 2 dollars for my meal and a single dollar for the 2 tender meals that included a side.(fries excluded for some reason)
First two times were great. Service has been terrible but the food is decent . Don’t normally complain but past three times it hasn’t been good. I’ve had different waitress ignore me and I understand if they were busy but I had to go to different servers just to pick up my check and at least in one visit it wasn’t busy. My last experience I ate in and had a to go order in which some of it was missing so I called and was told I could come pick up the missing pie approved by a manager. I got to the restaurant and they told me they would just refund me but I drove there for a reason and just left empty handed. I didn’t even tell them the waitress charged me for a beer I didn’t even get because she looked really busy. I can take being ignored and having a bad service once in a while but when you see this being done to your significant other and they paid; it just really ticked me off so we won’t be coming back.
CHECK YOUR IRDER BEFORE LEAVING!!!!!Really wanted to give them a 5 star because the food is amazing but every EVERY time we have ordered there is something left out. Sandwich the past 2 times. A whole large dirty Mac the time before. Manager that I saw and talked to last time didn’t even apologize.
If you like hot chicken this is the place. The deviled eggs are fantastic as is the potato salad. The hottest sauce was delicious and not “so hot you can’t eat it”. The Texas Pecan pie was the perfect treat after a day of hard work. What really made this place were the friendly folks taking orders and bringing your food. It’s hard to fake genuine happiness.
Weve always gone to Lucys or Caines and decided to give this place a try for a late lunch before shopping. Ricardo helped us navigate through their menu, the customizations for heat levels, appetizers, etc. When I say the chicken was on-point, I mean that it was like we were at a Sunday dinner at Grannys house. The food was amazing, our glasses were never empty, and Ricardo was engaging and attentive. DEFINITELY our new go-to chicken place! And do yourself a favor...Try the Sriracha fries!
My review is based on the service I experienced at this location. Tried placing a large order for an event and it was very difficult to get ahold of the manager. Phone continuously goes to voicemail, email response time took days at times and the manager kept asking for payment without even having a price put together. I was overcharged by a lot and the manager failed to mention that the order came with a choice of dessert. Ended up going to Burnet location where I paid less for the same order, chose my dessert, and they offered to deliver at no charge.
One of my favorite spots in CP. Chicken is always hot and fresh. The Lil OG sandwich is the perfect size to pair with a side. The regular OG is a BIG sandwich, be hungry. Theres also the standard bone-in pieces youd expect, boneless bites (real chicken pieces, not nuggets), and tenders, which are huge- also fresh, real chicken, not frozen kids meal chicken fingers. Good assortment of draft beers and mixed drinks. If you go during happy hour can get an awesome sandwich and a beer for under $10, cant beat that, although prices in general are quite reasonable. This is one of the few fried chicken places Ive tried that actually serves HOT chicken outside of Tennessee. Most places are extremely conservative with spice level, Im used to always just automatically ordering whatever the hottest spice level is and usually still wish for more. Not the case here. Theres six heat levels you can apply to any chicken order.Wimpy- lightly seasoned/plain. For kids meals or your grandma with ulcers. No HeatHot- Flavorful, but minimal heat. Mild.Mo Hot- What I generally recommend for first-timers. Has a moderate kick, enough spice to be there, but not setting your mouth on fire or anything. MediumDang Hot- A small step up from MoHot. Leaves a little tingle. If you like spicy food, Id start here. Medium-HotCluckin Hot- Now youre getting serious. Enthusiasts only at this point. I love spicy food and this is usually my go-to. Very enjoyable, a mild burn without being over-the-top or blowing out the flavor of the food. Solidly HotStupid Hot- Their hottest offering and it packs a punch. Made with ghost peppers. This is knocking on the door of challenge level heat, but not quite sign a waiver hot. Strong burn, and at this point to me the spice starts to overwhelm things- after a few bites thats kind of all you taste. Very Hot
My friend and I were refused service. Only after my friend talked to the manager did we get someone to wait on us. The original server straight up said, Yes, Im ignoring you, when I asked her what was going on. It was a sad night to be treated this way when she and I desperately needed a relaxing night out. Theyve lost a loyal customer in me forever.
So ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BAG. This isnt the first time and probably isnt the last. I ordered 4 ranch and only got 3. Normally I wouldnt care, but when its .50 for a small container thats half full it gets irritating. Last time I was shorted 2 of them and before Ive been shorted 3. They forgot forks a couple times and a whole side of Mac and cheese. I understand stuff happens but it seems almost every time I go something is missing. The food and service is always top notch Im not upset with any of that. Its the fact in paying .50 for a small thing of ranch and they cant be bothered to make sure I have it all.
Weve been here a couple times and while I love their salad the straight chicken fingers arent my style. However, they arent bad and my husband loves them so Im not dinging them for a difference of opinion. My biggest complaint is the wait, but hopefully that will continue to get better as they get more organized. The chicken Cobb salad is wonderful and the deviled eggs on top just add an extra level of awesome!! Their desserts are fantastic as well. Definitely recommend when youre in the mood for chicken. Just be aware it wont be super fast fast food.
Weve been here twice and like it. You can get up to five hot levels, but whats unique about this place is theyre not drenched in a sauce, but more dusted with spices (powder). They do have sides and their pies are delicious. I highly recommend the big slices of pie. You can order beers and they also sell margaritas. Overall the service is decent, and the restaurant is pretty clean.
Food quality was bad and the customer service was worse. We sat at the bar and no one came by to take our orders for about 20 minutes! All of our orders were oily and didn’t taste fresh. After we ordered, it was ready in less than two minutes which explains why things weren’t fresh.
Without a doubt, the best fried chicken sandwich Ive ever had! Ive had the hot and the mo hot original OG crispy and man let me tell yall these guys have figured out what makes the best chicken sandwich. I mean this thing has an incredible amount of chicken first of all. The condiments are in the right amount so the sandwich doesnt slide around as in the bun stays on top of the chicken. The slaw and the pickle do a great job of cutting the spice factor. I only hope is that they dont screw this up and change the recipe or something ever because man, it is just great!
First time here, and it was SOOOO GOOD!!! Our waitress was extremely helpful, nice, and went above and beyond! We ordered the half salad, a small chicken sandwich with the beer cheese, and the loaded fried. The servings were huge. I cant wait to go back. I definitely recommend you try.I came back again and its still great. Service was perfect, and food is excellent!!
Tumble 22 Cedar Park customer service needs improvement 1/7/22 @7pm. There was only one car in front of my husband before he ordered. He placed his order a 6 six piece chicken and fries for $22 ( we like Tumble 22 chicken so the price is not a problem) my husband pulled into a parking spot waiting for his order. Several cars got their order and left. Forty minutes later an employee came to his car and said sorry we must of lost your order but they are making your order right now. She told my husband you can talk to my manger if you want and went inside. My husband was upset so he walked inside and spoke to the manager. He told him he had been waiting for over 40 mins and he wanted his money back. The only thing the manger said was sorry and gave him his money back. I guess customer service is not important to them so we will not be going back. Very disappointed on the way Tumble 22 Cedar Park handled the situation.
I have enjoyed every bite of the several meals I have had. My first six orders consisted of Cluckin Hot. Then one Friday afternoon I was feeling a bit plucky and ordered Stupid Hot. Wow the level of heat between the two is immense. Thank you for letting me know I was stupid to order it. My wife loved going to the Austin based chicken place down the road from you but has informed me that when she says she wants chicken I am supposed to take her here. The food is definitely 5 star. I have yet to have had 5 star service though. Staff are courteous but there is a slight emotional disconnect, for lack of a better term. Still highly recommend. Good Job!
Wow, first time trying Tumble 22 and the family wasnt disappointed. Phenomenal chicken, fresh and juicy. Had the tenders, sandwich and fried family pack all in varying degrees of spicyness. All were satisfying and really ruined all other chicken establishments for us. The Mac and cheese is wonderful. Loved the sauce and the pies were enjoyable good serving sizes for the prices.
Had driven by numbers of times and thought I would like to swing in and give it a try. Finally things were in alignment and we stopped by. Super glad we did! Had the tenders and cole slaw, a couple of Shiners and shared a piece of pecan pie. I was very impressed with the chicken - really impressed. Also, our server was great and that helped make the whole thing a good time and an experience I am looking forward to repeating soon.
This chicken place was way better than what I expected. You get to pick how spicy you want it... but its a powder spicy not creamy sauce style. The chicken breast sandwich was big, juicy, and Ill say big again so you get the idea. Definitely give this place a shot if youre in the mood for chicken.
Oh my God. I love spicy food (sauces, salsa, wings, etc). I had the middle spice level and I immediately felt it. If you love spices, this is the place for you. I had the tenders and my son had the sandwich. The amount of chicken we received was well worth the price. Its a good thing I dont live closer to Tumble22 or Id be here every day.
Overall an okay experience. Waited too long to be seated while some employees were chatting. Waited too long to get drinks, then had to request a menu. Waited too long too have our order taken. Food came out pretty quick. The OG Sandwich was ok, chicken bites were really good.
Im breaking up with T22. They used to be so great in service and food but its been a downhill ride since they opened the Cedar Park location. The last time I dined in with3 friends, we asked for the check to be separate and the response was that they dont that. Pretty simple thing to separate orders, its not like we were a party of 5. My previous Curbside order I waited 15 minutes but they were packed so I forgave them. Today, I waited 25 minutes, 5 cars in the lot, I finally went inside to get my order, it was sitting in the table with 4 other orders while 4 or more employees stood in the kitchen entrance talking. For the price of their chicken, one would expect a much better experience with every visit. Im going back to Churchs.
I am a big fan of their chicken and it is my staple food. But unfortunately gave them 2 stars just because of the rude behavior of the staff. I usually prefer drive through because we has some guests we planned for dine in. Very bad experience with the staff and they gave me a look on why you are here. when we ordered to go order waited for 15 minutes went in to check the status one off the member said another 30 minutes wait which he was snacking on some chicken. But the food came in 5 minutes, lack of professionalism or respect towards customer. Need to fix your staff to compliment with the good food.
I don’t know what’s going on at this location - but it has gone down hill fast! We areFans of T22 and have been since the first one opened on Burnet. Picked dinner up last nite - chicken tasted like it had been cooked the day before. Hard. Cold. The dirty fries were the worst ever. Drinks were 3/4 full. Asked about it and were told they were getting ready to close up. It was 6:15. Afraid they aren’t going to make it if someone doesn’t take charge of quality control and employee customer service. Sad.
Fantastic food. I got the chicken sandwich with potato salad. Everything was made properly and tasted good.I went for stupid hot, which is the spiciest offering. I like things hot but am by no means a superhuman carolina reaper devourer. Stupid Hot felt very underwhelming. It was a bit spicy, but certainly not Stupid Hot.
Super tasty food! I get the lil sandwich with the dang hot spice level and it’s one of the best fried chicken places in town. The coleslaw is the perfect amount of sweet while having flavor, and oh my god the pecan pie is to die for. I come in through drive thru and the wait after ordering is usually 5 minutes which isn’t bad especially considering the quality of food and service.
This was my first time ordering Tumble 22 Chicken and for the price, I expected more. My chicken was burnt and cold; and I did not have bread nor pickles in my order. The beans were warm and the drive thru host was not helpful. Also, the salad was not fresh. I understand they may have been busy due to Veterans Day, but the quality and taste should not change.
Disappointed at this location. I placed a drive thru order, and waited for almost 30 min until someone came out to tell me that they were still working on my order because their kitchen got backed up. I ended up cancelling my order. By the way when I placed my order there were no cars in the drive thru. Total waste of time.
This restaurant has some of the best chicken tenders Ive had in a very long time. I thought about ordering three, but I only ordered two. Im glad I did. They were substantial and along with the fries made the perfect lunch. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful and I will certainly return for lunch in the future.
My kids loved it. They have been pestering me for months to try tumble 22s Mac and cheese. They said it taste like their mac and cheese has port Salut cheese. It is very good and creamy. I dont eat meat so I cant say exactly how the chicken sandwich tastes but the kids loved it. They especially liked the coleslaw in the chicken sandwich. 3 was just the top of the spice level for them. Tumble 22 has Maine street sodas which I prefer to coca cola products. They have a decent beer selection as well. 5 stars for my kids happy bellies.
This place is really tasty! I had previously only tried the nuggets to go, which were pretty good. But we went in to eat for the first time the other day so we ordered some bone in chicken. The flavor was so good! And I love their fries! Theyre different enough to be memorable, but not so much that its weird.
This place has never let me down as far as taste and quality go. The chicken is always juicy and crispy. I love that you can choose heat levels and the sweet tea is always good. Their French fries are so-so but I havent tried them loaded yet so I dont know if they are better that way. The comeback sauce SLAMS and the Cilantro Mint is absolutely delicious. I wish they had fried okra here that would just put it over the top.
Tried this for the first time today, and I am very pleasantly surprised. Going through the drive thru I was initially put off by the prices, but these are no mere chicken strips or nuggets. These things are huge! Definitely worth the price. The french fries are the skinny crispy kind, but still manage to have a soft inside. They are the best fries Ive had in a while. My only complaint is the comeback sauce. It has horseradish, which I cannot stand. So if you dont like horseradish just get the ranch. Otherwise, very pleased.
The problem that the cedar park location has and had is their service is always been uncommonly slow. The Burnet road location is great. They need to find a way to make sure that my drink is full and someone comes by at least 1 time during my meal to ask how we are doing. Once you get a hold of someone you get your food very quick, hot and delicious. That is why they get 3 stars
Good place for Nashville hot chicken. We order almost every month.I like the heat levels, the coleslaw and the mint sauce (not available anymore) complimented the chicken bites. I dont eat the bread that comes with the bites but others may like it. The comeback sauce is good too. Not sure if they have sugar free/ low carb options. Definitely worth a try!
Staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, I got a pretty bad case of food poisoning from this location. I think there is either cross contamination happening, or the chicken wasnt cooked long enough. Itll take a while for me to come back to Tumble22 after being sick for a week. All things considered, the food was delicious and was seasoned well. Their happy hour specials are great and really make it affordable. I would recommend going during happy hour, especially if you like strong cocktails.
We visit frequently. Love the plexi-glass dividers between the booths and has a good amount of seating. Dont let the hot in the name on the building scare you. We shied away from it because of that and finally decided to give it a try. Glad we did. You can get the wimpy hotness for no spice, if you dont want spicy chicken. The chicken is meaty, juicy, and very tasty. The Mac and cheese and the shoe-string fries are so good. Its usually a bit chilly inside, so consider bringing a sweater.
Service was a complete mess, my drink sat at the bar just waiting for about 6 minutes before we had to ask somebody to grab it for us, then when my son got his chicken bites I asked for a side of barbecue sauce and the waiter told me he wasnt sure if he could get me one.... he asked the manager and the manager just said no? No reason why or anything, even though my sandwich had nearly half a gallon of it flooding my sandwich making the bread soggy but oh well I had a bad experience probably will never go back.
We used to goA lot more but it has been a while. Went to cedar park location last night. No one sat us. Finally a girl came from emptying trash to seat us (without washing hands) and sat us outside. Another girl came initially after a few minutes and said can i get you something to drink. They only had given us food menus. So i asked what drinks they had and she kinda got weird and grudgingly said so you want a drink menu . Umm yeah. Those should be given with the regular menu i would think. She brought those back and kinda tossed them quickly and said we dont have all the draft beer on the menu anymore without any further explanation. She left. About 5 minutes passed as we were waiting to order then the original girl came out ( i hope she washed her hands since then !). She then took our order and brought our drinks. About 20 minutes went by. No check back. No food. (It was 8 ish at night and not very full in restaurant ). She did come out to talk to some guy sitting at picnic table and talked to him about 10 minutes but still didnt check on us ). My partner went to the restroom and asked him if he sees her to ask for ginger ale and cocktails to be refilled. She got those and then our food came out. We have always had good service and no problems before this. I think her name was Jenna and she really acted like customers were not a priority. Strange night with two different strange servers with bad service. What happened to the good service ? Ive worked good service and know its not always great but when you are working on tips i would think you might give good service. I hope it was just an off night but i think we will go back to the burnett location where things are a bit more steady. Also where is the management and accountability? The food is excellent. Unfortunately thats not all that matters
I havent dined in at this location yet, but we went through the drive through last week. The service was friendly and professional, and the lady at the window apologised for wait on our food and gave all 3 of us in the car a free drink. I thought this was exceptional service, because the wait was not long at all. The hot fried chicken is good, with options for all levels of heat tolerance. The fries are amazing! Very thin with a delicious seasoning. This time I tried the half cobb salad. Im glad I got the half, because it was big! It comes with a deviled egg and a nice sized chicken tender of your heat preference. Glad to have this location more convenient to my house!
Nice concept in fast casual fried chicken. Table service with quick delivery. Yummy fried 🐔 and 🐔 strips. Nice selection of home cooking sides including potato salad, kale slaw, greens, mac n cheese and of course fries. Definitely will go back when Im craving fried 🐔!
Delicious fried Chicken and amazing Chicken sandwiches that really stand out from other Chicken places I’ve been to in Austin. The chicken is always very juicy, tender, and the breading and seasonings they use are amazing! The sides you can also get are quite good too and though I have not yet tried the dessert, they always look very tempting in their display case. The service is also very good and you usually get your food very quickly! The prices too are very reasonable for the amount of food that you get. I highly recommend for any chicken lover!
Its pretty nice. The food is good. They know what hot is.Today I decided to try the curbside delivery many people say it’s better. Nope! I ordered 35 minutes ago been in a spot for over 20 minutes, No Salad yet. It is a single chicken strip and rabbit food from a bag, this should be easy. NOT
My favorite chicken place around! The tenders are great, the slaw is fantastic, and thumbs up to the mac n cheese. However, the chocolate cream pie has taken a huge tumble. What on earth happened? The chocolate cream used to be silky smooth and now its like a jello mold granny serves at the holidays. Did you change the recipe? PS..bring back coconut cream!
My wife and three kids sat at 8:30 for dine no one even come take order .few waiter pass by their didnt bother. This is was second bad experience.as much as we love the food we are never going back and manager should be taken to the back o wash the dishes. The way talk to me on 1st experience. Most of all i would not recommend anybody going to this location after 8 PM because they start getting ready to close and you wont get any service .
I previously had a five star review here but the bar tender named B or Bri was absolutely terrible. Not terrible out of negligence or incompetence but out of just malice. She belittled my son for sitting next to me at the bar during lunch when it was mostly slow and told us we couldnt sit at the bar because my son was under 21 even though i dont drink and Texas law doesnt say anything about young adults sitting at a bar area. Then she upset someone else so bad he left, called the manager and ended up sitting with me because Bri was so set on segrogating patrons that people were leaving right and left. We were not the only three to sercum to her unreasonable tantrum. I wouldnt have written this review had the apologized to my son as i had asked but she wouldnt even do that. Her behaviour wasnt that of a lady at all. Shame on her and the way she represents my sons favorite restaurant.
Went today for dinner, after was recommended by someone to eat there. The food was great and tasted good, however customer service was terrible. The girl with blonde hair was our server and was rude and disrespectful when asking for our order and when we asked for our check. Asked to split the check and she rolled her eyes and chuckled. If you eat here make sure to get a different server.
Food is too expensive for the poor customer service. No one greeted me when I came in. I go to the to go area and wait until I have to go and ask someone to help me. I decided I wasnt going to pay $20 for 6 wings and the employee slapped his hand on the counter and went to the back to I guess cancel the order. My previous experience in the drive through was better. My last visit. Sadly.
Food and service was top notch!!! My wife and I have been on a fried chicken kick and this place takes the cake! My wife loves super spicy food and she thought dang hot level was a little too much. We had the chicken sandwich and tenders. Looking forward to going back and trying their dark/bone in options!
Wow, the service was so rude and unwelcoming. We didn’t even have a chance to eat. After our waitress walked passed our table a few times as if she didn’t see us, I called her over and asked to, at least, put in a drink order. She very rudely tells me, “I told you I’d be by in a minute, I’m behind, so you need to wait.” Keep in mind, it was me and my son, 2 drinks, during lunch time. As we walked out, she yells, “I told you to wait a minute.” What a joke of an establishment.
We ordered curbside pickup: wait time for the food to be made was ~30 minutes, got our food immediately when we pulled up and called.I was surprised to find the chicken is actually hot; Im used to hot actually being very mild, especially in a white suburb like Cedar Park. Chicken was very good, fries very satisfying and crispy. I usually prefer seasoned fries, but the chicken is so hot, I was relieved the fries were more mild. BBQ beans are nothing special, tastes like they opened a can of beans from the store. We got the family-pack tenders with the 4 sauces it comes with and found that was way too little, so either order extra sauce or have some ready at home.Chocolate pecan pie is very good, but a single slice is small and probably not worth the $5.
Been here a few times and it has always been great. Came in tonight and was refused service in the dining room. The hostess/waiter was horribly rude and had a bad attitude. He started with “we close in 15 minutes not sure if you really want to eat here” I told him that’s fine we will do a order Togo then. There were two other tables in the dining room with patrons that clearly just walked in since they only had drinks and were served their food while I waited for my To-go order. I guess the family with small children gets turned away while the others were allowed to eat in the dining room. Also why would they offer a 36 bites as a family pack if you can only get one spice level for all 36? They told us we couldn’t do more than one heat level for all 36. (Cedar Park location)
I should start by saying that the food is absolutely worth 5 stars. What wasnt 5 star is the experience. The girl taking our order today seemed disinterested in the whole process. She had her phone on the cash register and even checked one of her notifications while taking my order... She also let out quite an yawn during the process (it was so big that I could see it through the mask). There was a young man behind her, and it looked like perhaps he was in training??? Hopefully her bad habits and poor customer service dont rub off on him.Ultimately this would not have been a huge deal if it werent for the fact that she completely messed up our order. We made it home missing several items. I guess she was too busy and disinterested to hear my order. This would have easily been a 4 or 5 star review were it not for this experience.I plan of visiting again (that chicken is too good), so maybe Ill edit this review if I have a better experience.
The chicken strips are ample in size and dipping sauces are great. The only thing I would change is the ability to mix and match heat flavors as my kids don’t like spicy and I want to up the heat but not so much so that I waste my money if I can’t eat it. All in all, I highly recommend and would definitely go back.
I have been so excited to try this place! I wanted to treat myself to a day off lunch, so I got the chicken cobb salad for curbside pickup. I need to preface this by saying I got the wimpy chicken, not the hot chicken. I dont care for hot chicken. They do have several levels, though, so at some point I may try the barely hot chicken :-) I got the whole salad, not the half salad, expecting it to be big enough for leftovers. It wasnt really big enough for leftovers, but I am very full and for nine bucks it was a great deal. The salad wasnt presented beautifully in the box, but that doesnt really matter to me. I thought the greens could have been colder, but they were delicious so I decided that didnt matter either. The star of the salad was not the chicken, but the deviled eggs! You heard me right. They put deviled eggs in their Cobb salad! The chicken was also delicious. I thought that it would be chopped up in the salad, but it was actually two big chicken tenders on top. At first I thought this was weird, but then I realized the chicken was probably much juicier and more delicious this way than if they had chopped it up. There was also lots of avocado and plenty of dressing. Im excited to go back again and get some bone-in chicken and their dirty fries. Bonus they have Maine root soda!
Simply Amazing food with well balanced flavors and perfect heat level descriptions. Tumble 22 is some of the best Nashville Style Chicken sandwiches around.Absolutely atrocious service.Do Not use their Order Ahead app. Use the Drive-through. Management or Ownership apparently cant be bothered to implement a meaningful system to get food to their customers. I feel terrible for the employees who are left without the tools to serve the customers the way they deserve. Will I come back? You bet. Will I wait to be helped? Not even a chance-- Find me hollern my order to the boys in the back and picking it up myself
My wife and I had seen this new eatery and decided to stop in and give it a try. Upon entering the front door we stood in the front area awaiting someone to seat us, in a few moments we were taken to a small awkward booth along a side wall. While walking to said booth the what I assume is the hostess was stopped by a customer. The customer explained she and her family had been waiting at a table for 20 minutes and no one has even approached the table. After being shown the tiny booth we asked if we could sit outside. The hostesses reply was ok. Just go outside and pick a spot. We went outside, picked a table and sat down. We watched several of the staff members come to the outside dining area and wait on customers in the area. We sat and waited for approximately 15 minutes, with no staff interaction. We witnessed a staff member sit down at a table and begin having a casual conversation with some patrons while they were eating. After 2 minutes of sitting and witnessing this, we decided we were better off leaving and choosing a better establishment to eat at. This makes this establishment less than appetizing. It appears that lack of training, hustle and general lack of attention is going to put this beautiful, potentially successful restaurant into the pits before it has a chance. Ive owned and managed restaurants, This appears to be failing before it is able to flourish. The management needs to pay attention to FOH.
Very disappointed with service and product. After 15 minutes of waiting at the drive thru spots, I then called the restaurant. There was no answer. The guy came out a minute later, gave our food to the wrong car but then realized and brought it to us. Little sketchy during Covid but they hadnt opened it. We sampled our fries and they were soggy and lukewarm. Not a good experience.
I had the large chicken sandwich The O.G.. Third heat level, Mo Hot!, out of six. It was delicious. It got hotter as I ate it. The BBQ beans were disappointing. They have beers on tap but selection was limited. No micro brews. I want to go back, try the next hot level and bring the family.
The worst chicken I have ever had. I ordered a 12 piece with sides of greens and BBQ beans. It was awful, I was served cold greasy chicken over 3 slices of soggy bread and the slices of sweet pickles dropped in the box did not help the situation. I gave 2 stars because the wait was short. Thanks but Noooooo.
GREAT hot chicken! Great sit-down service, great servers, & fun environment. Chicken 🍗 m 5 levels of heat (+ wimpy). I got the Mo-Hot and it was TASTY! It made my nose run a little 😅 but it had TONS of flavor and the heat didnt distract from it. The fries & kale cole slaw are 👌 + their come back sauce is tasty. Good for a quick bite. The tenders are very generous. Id guess that one equals about 2 Chick-fil-A strips. They also serve Maine Root soda which is 👍👍👍. They have strips, nuggets, sandwiches, & regular in-bone chicken pieces. Im dying to try the pie too (pecan chocolate toffee, buttermilk, chocolate cream, & blueberry streusel). :-9
This is by far the best chicken in Austin, TX. It takes me right back to my family roots in Mississippi. Don’t be fooled by the drive through. This is no fast food. It is down home soul filled food with friendly servers and a great staff. If you haven’t been there yet, don’t wait another minute!!!
It took forever to get our food. It was so long we had to get up and ask for our food. I think they forgot our order. The place was almost empty. Our server was very nice but he kept touching his mask while talking to his coworkers. 😳 Refill of drinks took forever too and the place was empty. The chicken is good but not worth the hassle. The side dishes.... Arent great either. I wish I would have chosen chick Fil a. 😭Clean at least. 😊❤️
I had the chicken sandwich and it was very good. I got it with no spiciness but next time Ill get it hot. Also have gotten the chicken nuggets and I got those hot which was just enough spicy to give it a good flavor. Had them with the ranch dip and the knockout sauce.
Excellent chicken. Hot, juicy, breading is very tasty, and the spice level was just right for me. I like spicy stuff and the 3rd level is good enough to make your lips burn but not much else and is called Mo Spice I think. If youre in the mood to cure your hemorrhoids go for the 5th level. If you want to fart fire and impress your friends and burn down your house go for the 6th level of spice. Fries and Mac n Cheese are also good.
Tried going there for my usual order and now were only allowed to get one level of spice even if its a 12 or 24 piece?thats insane,Wasnt gonna say anything until i read the other reviews. According to the other users it was to insure speediness but apparently from reading the other reviewers and my personal experience wait times are still slow af regardless. restaurant wasnt near capacity and it wasnt during a rush but it took about 10 minutes of standing up front till we just ended up seating ourselves at the bar, we were given water then waited about 15 min just so we could order.
Hands down my favorite drive through chicken in the area. The quality of the chicken and the flavor of the breading and sauces set Tumble22 apart. The staff are also very nice. The food is a bit more expensive and the wait is a bit longer than other restaurants, but its worth it.
Great food! Love their ordering/delivery system. We had a Wimpy Chicken sandwich with Fries, which was phenomenal, 2 Chicken Tenders Mo hot with side of Kale Cole Slaw, exceptional! Chicken was tender and moist. Fries were thin shoestring salted and the best drive thru fries. Mo hot was surprisingly hotter than I thought. Dipped in the cilantro sauce toned it down and was yummy. As for the drive thru you can order online or in the drive thru and they give you a parking space number and they bring it to you.Dont forget to tip! This is definitely worth you trying their chicken.
Below was my old review but I updated it to reflect my August 28 experience.Aug 28- Worst curbside pickup experience. I ordered way ahead for curbside pickup and went there per the order time. I texted to the number mentioned with my slot and no response. Waited there almost 20 more minutes and saw more frustrated customers leaving spots. Finally I walked inside to find my food was sitting on a table getting cold all this time. The lady simply said oh ok, here you go and handed it over to me. They lack the basic service. I have positive experience with RR location and will continue going there but not this one at all.–------+-------- old review ------------The chicken and the spice taste is awesome but I found it to be very oily
I always check my order while leaving the restaurant, this one time I dint check in tumble .. they dint not include my 4 sides in my order. Very disappointed.Update on this:I happened to go that way the following day, I told them about the missing order, they gave the rest of it. Well, thanks for that.
Love the big chicken pieces, but their Margarita (on the rocks) was way-y-y-y too sour. Had to ditch it ($7.50). We ordered online and walked over from our hotel to get the food. We got there early and didnt mind waiting. But when the time came that our order should have been ready, it was not. Had to wait another 30 minutes. The chess pie was pretty good, as were the beans. I wish they had honey mustard as a dipping sauce, but their House sauce was good enough. Oh, and had to ask for silverware to be added to our bag even though I had added it on the online order.I get that theyre new-ish, but given that the pandemic has forced them to handle online orders, they should have had it down pat by now.
Literally amazing. I love spicy food and either get the 2 or 3. 2 is just enough spice and 3 is pretty spicy. Really good quality chicken that doesnt get hard or gross if your taking it home, like Bushs can. Fries are buttery and collard greens are tasty, might want to add salt.My only complaint would be that the family pack you can only get ONE flavor and cannot mix. Due to my family liking things not so spicy, I have to get the tenders which is way pricier than the Chicken Picnic
Mmmmmmm Nashville hot chicken is always good, I ordered the “dang hot” tenders. Chicken was very good just took about 27 min to get and it was cool. Usually this place is great but our bartender was slow and quiet and eventually disappeared halfway through service. At this point I was getting hangry. Food finally comes out after Jullianna checked on us. She was the saving grace and wasn’t even our server but made sure we received our food. My wife overheard the lady manager say it’s okay for us to wait for food because we order more drinks which would have been okay but our server NEVER asked us for drinks I had to ask and hunt our new server Juliana down for dessert. They discounted ticket without asking tho so good on them I will return for more delicious chicken soon! (Only because our 2nd half server Juliana)
Another 1st time. They alot of chicken options and you can choose how hot you want it. Cooked fresh to order. I had the 1/4 white (breast * wing) greens 🥬and mac ncheese🧀. I was a little skeptical about the sides but they were so tasty!! Greens had a little kick and seasoned so well. The mac was cheesy, creamy and so good, not your typical fast food. The chicken🍗 was tender and juicy. I had the regular hot to be on the safe side, wasnt overly sauced. I highly recommend! Sorry I was so hungry I dove right in and forgot to take a pic📸.
Ordered online for 5pm pickup. It was ready right on time and was hot and fresh. First time eating there and I will return. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The fries were wonderful and the mac and cheese was really good. The drive through pickup was a nice touch.
Felt unimportant! For first impressions this was a bad one. Decided to try something new tonight so headed over to tumble 22 in cedar park. First was greeted very quickly and asked if we wanted the open table. So took the table and it was dirty still. Not usually a big deal for me. Then we ordered a pretty large amount of food. 2 of the 3 meal came out to the table. Then the side of deviled eggs ( they were delicious btw ) then I waited for about 5-10 minutes and my food still has yet to come out. We stop a waitress to ask about the 3 side we ordered that have yet to come out also. Was told they were working on it. And finally my food came out. ( 8pcs chicken bits ). But still haven’t gotten the side. Finally we are getting ready to pay and I asked if they would just refund the sides. They asked a few times if we wanted the sides as we were paying. they were on the pickup window and they could “box them up”. Got only one side refunded. Honestly not a big fan.
Im so glad they opened up a location in Round Rock.Customer service is on pointChicken is on point (Ive done the bites, salad and sandwich) It is so flavorful and crispy 🤤The basket of fries are nice and crunchy, they stay that way too.Overall great atmosphere, great food and Ill be back 😏
This location DOES NOT OFFER CURBSIDE!!!!!! The “curbside” service is actually a “walk in and get it yourself off a table because nobody will respond to you or bring your order out” service. There were ZERO cars in the drive up and a handful of tables inside. This is our second experience with a curbside order and same thing both times. Maybe the manager skipped the module on how curbside service works?? Why do you offer it as a service when you don’t actually do it? We will gladly take our money elsewhere from now on.
4 stars because its fresh and scratch. The sauces are hot. The Mo hot stings. Great flavors!Anything over that level and youll pay for it tomorrow... the cilantro mint sauce is the best dip!Im not a fan of the drive thru system, and I really dont like being asked if Id like to leave a tip for the staff at a drive thru when paying $15 for lunch... but whatever.
Updated: Happy to report that management reached out to make sure I could express myself and make it right. I went again and service was prompt and polite and the sandwiches were great as usual.Previous:Great food, but waited 40min for order because it was given to wrong party.

2022-06-20Great portions for the price. The chicken has this sweet hot taste that leaves you begging for more. Be warned, come hungry. I love the collard greens and fries here. The lemonade is not to be missed.

2022-02-02First and foremost the environment was really nice the music really matched the food I would say. Secondly the customer service was really good they answered any questions I had very well and very politely. I ended up getting a mild chicken strips the two chicken strips and a side which I got macaroni which was really good I will definitely be coming back to check it out too was just enough. You can definitely get a spicier stuff though that place is known for their heat so if you like heat they got it oh did I mention theres pie.

2022-06-25Leah was a great waitress. We asked about the beans and we were told they were baked. Nope pinto. I just believe wait staff should know their food. The chicken sandwich even though it had Cole slaw and mayo was dry.The Cobb salad was good. Deviled eggs are great. The salad itself for 10.99 is smallish and chopped to small. The 2 chicken tenders were good. I just think some sauce served as well would be good. The pecan pie should have been room temperature or warmed a bitCollards are good and so was the Mac and cheese.

2022-06-19I never leave reviews for food, this may be my first food review but I felt compelled after this previous experience. I typically order pick up on the weekends, my son gets super excited because he loves the chicken, he calls them dragon bites. In the past they had been wonderful - large portions, great taste. However the previous three times have been disappointing. I wanted to think it was an isolated incident because of my familys love for the place, but after this time I now think differently.I ordered my son the 3 chicken bite combo and what he got was beyond rediculous, the smallest chicken bites Ive ever seen! Smaller than the nasty popcorn chicken from Sonic. How could this even be considered acceptable? They are literally the size of a nickel, see the attached photos. All three lined up are smaller than a ketchup packet... I get it, sometimes restaurants skimp on food, but to do it to a kids meal is absolutely pathetic. It infuriates me.

2022-06-24Tables were very sticky and utensils were filthy. Food was okay.Went during happy hour (4-6PM) for 2 lil O.G. sandwiches (dang hot and stupid hot) $5 each. Dirty fries and dirty mac n cheese also $5 each. Plus a side of slaw $3. Totaled out to be ~$25.The chicken sandwiches were ok, def. not made to order as the chicken was dry. Good portion, def not as lil as I thought. More regular sized. The dang hot spice level was mild until the very last few bites? not sure how it got hot all of a sudden. For reference Fiancé said the stupid hot was less hot than Buldak (korean stir fried instant noodles). Sandwiches were dripping in oil.The dirty loaded fries and mac n cheese had very dry chicken. Tasted like they sat there for a good while and smothered in queso (fries) to hide how dry it was. The mac and cheese, you can just visually see how dry the chicken was.Best item was surprisingly the slaw. Not overly fatty heavy mayo, had some kale? and purple cabbage.Service was ok. Our waters were never refilled when we went at 4PM. Not many people there. All in all, would not visit again as the place felt very unsanitary. Outside looks nice but the dining table and utensils were just absolutely disgusting. Even wiping everything down with water didnt make a difference, seemed like years worth of grime caked on and old utensils...

2022-01-11Tumble 22 is one of my favorite restaurant chains. On my first visit to Cedar Park, I thought I had found the best location. I will still say that the food may be the best. But after three visits, the service is worse every time. Today it was laughable. When we walked in, we asked if we could be seated at the nearest tables to the door. We explained that because my wife was on crutches, the height of the booth and proximity to the door would be helpful. The hostess said she could not seat us there because it was a 4-top. This occurred at 2:30 in the afternoon when the restaurant was slow. Before being seated, we had already discussed not sitting in the bar area. On our prior visit, the bartender was unable to keep up with her bar and section while the manager offered no help. The bartender today was not in the weeds but unprofessional to the point of being impolite. While we had a sense of humor about it all, I will not dine in again. You will not find better Nashville hot chicken outside of Nashville. They offer the best fried chicken and chicken sandwich in the Austin metro area. The OG or little OG are the way to go for chicken sandwiches. The specialty or limited edition sandwiches are overkill with too many ingredients smothering the chicken.

2021-09-25Excellent chicken. Only had the tenders, but I’ll be back based on them. Fries are standard, so maybe the other sides would be more impressive, but the chicken shines. Had the dang hot which was a decent burn (spice tolerance is on the higher side). Tenders also are huge! Excellent serving and thin and crispy batter. I’ll be back.

2022-05-10Customer service was less than amiable, not rude but definitely flat. You pay a dollar extra for fries and mac and cheese even when the meal includes a side. The fries were cold and spongy with a leathery outer texture. They werent worth the dollar extra. The mac and cheese didnt fill the container. To me if Im having to pay a dollar extra for a a specific side it should fill the container. Another option would be to use a smaller container. It took about 20 minutes from time of completed order to delivery of the food despite the fact 2 people pulled up and were served in that same amount of time. My husband loves Tumble 22, but I am consistently underwhelmed.

2022-03-05This is some good chicken. Tried the chicken strips and deviled eggs thru DoorDash. Gotta get by there and dine in while the food is still piping hot. I went with Clucking Hot for the sauce and it was really good. The spice isnt really noticeable at first, then in starts creeping in. Deviled Eggs were delish. I cant remember if Ive ever had deviled eggs from a restaurant before?Ill go ahead and try the Stupid Hot next time to get it out of the way.

2022-04-24This stuff is AMAZING! Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is amazing! I recommend this place for anyone! I recommend hot if you want a little spice but not much. (The photo is The lil, hot, with a side of Mac n Cheese regular.
