Be sure to know where your third party vendors are. My wife and I end up spending more money then we should have. The location was gated and not accessible then we had to driver farther away from where we originally wanted then we get there and they have absolutely no moving equipment no dolly no appliance dolly or anything. Which is very inconvenient when you expect something and get there and its all messed up
I had a really great experience at this Uhaul location. The manager on duty was very accommodating. The previous driver on the rental we picked up dropped it off with less fuel than indicated, so the manager gave us a fuel credit to bring it up to the appropriate level.One of the attendants on duty was also very helpful in explaining the proper usage of the tow dolly. Both individuals were kind and friendly. If it hadnt been a one way move, wed most certainly use this location again for our moving needs.
I was frankly stunned at how simple and straightforward the whole process was. I was braced to spend half an hour picking up and another half an hour dropping off and was amazed at how efficient the woman helping was. Pick up was less than ten minutes and drop off was literally two minutes. Outstanding!
You talking great customer service this Uhaul location here have it! The Manager Angelique Vickers is the best she get you in and out the shop was very clean and she have it smelling good as well, Her team is GREAT the young mens are very respectful and helpful. You want good service go to the Uhaul on Ferguson Rd. Keep Up The Good Work Everyone!!
I made my reservation online for a 26 ft. truck. Both the pick up and the drop off were super easy. They allow you to inspect the vehicle and upload pictures of any damage that has not been recorded before leaving the lot. The only issue I had was that there was trash in the cabin of the truck. Other than that, I would say it was a good rental experience.
I reserved a 6x12. I checked in over 24 hours before pickup and when I arrived I was told that I would be given a 5x10. No prior notification of the change was provided. The manager indicated that this is standard business practice at uhaul and that it happens frequently. Because of this experience, I have very little trust or faith in uhaul.
Darin was awesome! I came in on a busy Saturday morning to get a trailer ball and receiver and some other employees told me I couldnt get it done on a Saturday. When I spoke with Darin he was patient and pro-active and quickly got me what I needed in spite of the busy morning. Thanks!
I have rented from this location several times, no problems, if its busy they do everything they can to be efficient, Im comfortable there and always go back. I use UHaul a lot and this is where I go. Customer service great, equipment always in good shape and I always get what I ask for.
Truck we were being forced to take had the check engine on and was misfiring after 10 minutes of debating we were given another truck shouldnt have been no debating. we accidently left a $35 step stool in the truck we called the location several times they never answered we left a few messages with the call center and we never received a call back from them and we moved an hour away from where we rented truck. not acceptable at all our experience was by far not great at all we wont be going back to that location and we have other family members that were going to use them too not anymore
Zach, the guy who fills up my propane, is awesome at this store. Actually, I am happy with every employee here. Harveen, Reese, and of course Nikki, the relief manager. Whoever is in charge here should be very proud. Great service and very fast. I will keep coming here.
Worst uhaul ever! Rented a uhaul and they forgot my equipment, then gave me the wrong one! The truck was infested with roaches that didnt come out until I got home to load it! Pressed for time i had to exterminate the truck to use it and all they could offer me was an Im sorry! Never again will i rent a uhaul from there!
The employees here are usually pretty competent and hard-working. The company they work for is a one-star. I always feel like they make sure everything is done right before I leave...like they flipped the orientation on my receiver ball to adjust for the load I was going to carry. I had no idea that was a safety factor.
The manager at locations at us80 hwy put me down for a uhaul to take it out of town when I told her that I was going 16 miles down the street in back. In I had to go to A nother location. In the rate was to high because she put ne down for out of town instead of in town. That was a 1hr waiting for it to get fix. The out of town was $115 in the in town was $75. I was very disappointed that she did that.
Very busy place right in the morning. They did a decent job but I ordered my uhaul from the one on Greenville and Ross and never got an update saying it would be at this location. Drop off at night was terrible. The whole return lane was full out to the street, had to put it somewhere else and hope they realized it was a return.
To whom it may concern,I’m incredibly displeased with my Uhaul experience with regard to everything but the actual rental. I was scammed out of $20 with 0 attempt at making me, the customer, whole after repeated attempts, including the below email to corporate.After making my reservation over a week in advance, I was notified late the evening prior to my rental that my truck was not going to be available at the desired location and that I would need to travel an additional 4 miles, when my home is about 100 yards from the desired location to get a different vehicle. No attempt was made to make right on this error.Either way, I accepted and went to the changed location. I arrived 30 minutes before my pickup and there was 1 attendant working and an hour long line. We were told that we could expedite the process by picking up online. This was untrue as our reservations would have had to be set up as mobile pickup initially. So, in line, I sit on the phone with a Uhaul supervisor to arrange a mobile check in (after being told by 2 Prior representatives that this was absolutely impossible.... it wasn’t). Finally, about an hour after my arranged pickup time, for no fault of my own, I left in the vehicle.The vehicle was fine, no complaints.THEN, however, when I go to check the vehicle in, 30 minutes ahead of schedule again, I noticed that I was overcharged by $20.... most would not have noticed, but Uhaul added an ADDITIONAL dolly charge that was neither requested nor even provided. I approached the Uhaul attendant with my concerns, and he told me that because it was 8:45, and they did not open until 9 and that he couldn’t help me then. He told me to submit my complaint, leave a note and he would remove the charge immediately at 9. He never did. Because I wasn’t sure if the attendant would remember, I left a complaint describing the overcharge and was promised to be contacted for resolution. I NEVER WAS.NOW, I get my receipt and the overcharge still exists. I’m incredibly displeased with this transaction and the handlings of nearly every Uhaul employee I came into contact with.I’m a longtime Uhaul customer but am unlikely to recommend these services again.I thought Uhaul was better than to attempt to take advantage of its loyal customers (this is probably my 10th Uhaul order in the last 4 years) during these uncertain times.I hope your customer service proves differently
I always get what I need here with no hassles. The missing star is because the wait times are long. Plan for this, especially when picking up equipment. Last trip it took 27 minutes waiting in line on a Saturday morning. Equipment is always clean and in great mechanical order.
I always use U-Haul for all of my moving needs. This was my first time renting from this specific location and will definitely be my last! They tried charging me $380 for driving 19 miles round trip!!! I couldnt believe my eyes! They tried claiming I drove 200+ miles in the few hours I had the truck. I got so lucky that I had taken pictures with my phone of the mileage before pulling off their lot. I had to get in contact with the General Manager to fix the problem who did not apologize for the MAJOR mistake and really did not seem to care. Would not recommend this location at all, especially when theres plenty more options just around the corner. First & Last!
I came here to drop off the rental truck after being turned away at a different nearby drop off location. As soon I pulled up, a guy came out to meet me. Given that I had no problems with the truck, the whole drop of process took less than five minutes. The guy was courteous.
Okay....service was great and speedy! But they didnt return my uhaul properly. I get a call from uhaul week after I dropped it off and they ask if Im going to return the trailer.......im trying to telling them I dropped it off over a week ago......along story short it got resloved, it wasnt easy....thank God they had video camera to confirm my return. Thats why you get 2 stars.
Advice to the location: Check your equipment to make sure the truck you rent to a customer actually starts. It would also be nice to offer to help a customer back the truck out of a spot when its parked 6 inches away from the trucks next to it and the side mirrors cant be folded out to back it out. Most importantly, dont sneak a cleaning charge on someones account when there was no mention of a cleanliness issue when the truck was examined upon return.Then, when a customer calls to have these issues addressed, dont place them on hold for 30+ minutes hoping that they just hang up. Not only have I been charged an extra $15 cleaning charge, but I also had to pay $70 extra for my movers since the first truck didnt start and I had to wait to be issued a new one. If anything, I should receive a credit for the inconvenience, not an extra charge. Thankfully, theres an option to file a dispute via online chat, because you cant count on this location to actually respond to your concerns over the phone.
I made a reservation for a truck, but when I got there, they didnt have any available. So, I had to go to the location in Mesquite off Hwy 80, which was out of my way. When I got there, they only had a truck available that was much bigger than what I needed, and more expensive. On top of that I had to pay for extra mileage, due to having to going out of the way to get the truck. I most likely wont be using their services again, because whats the point of making a reservation for a truck just to be told there are none available? That was a total waste of gas! 👎👎👎👎👎
Talking trash on other customers in front of me in Spanish, didnt bother telling me that my reservation had been moved to this location when they called to confirm my pick up time, associate forced me to sign the condition report before seeing the trailer, never looked me in the eye and had trouble understanding my questions, didnt trust my answers - are you SURE its a hitch and not a bumper pull??
I used this location for the end of my trip. I was given piss-poor information on how to tow my vehicle and the battery died. The GM attached a charger to my car while I took the Uhaul to unpack on a rainy day. I came back and my car was back to normal. This service was beyond what they were required to give. 10/10; would recommend
Do NOT go to this Uhaul location! They quote you normal rental rates, but tell you that you have to go online and complete a form or you will be charged additional charges. EVEN IF YOU GO ONLINE AND COMPLETE THEIR FORM - THEY WILL CHARGE YOU DOUBLE ANYWAY. THEN THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONES TO REFUND THE MONEY THEY ARE STEALING FROM CUSTOMERS. Go somewhere else unless you want to be SCAMMED by this unethical Uhaul franchise.
I had a 9am appointment to pick up a trailer. I arrived 10 minutes early then proceeded to stand on line for an hour. Then when I was helped it took another 20 minutes just to get the trailer hooked up and gone. Having one person on the desk on a friday morning is ridiculous. You cost me an additional $250 for the day having to pay hired movers to stay longer to do nothing since I missed my window to move everything in.
Thank you so much for helping this girl out yesterday! Totally lost, no GPS/internet on my phone, first time in Dallas, and beyond frazzled. Thank you for printing my directions to my destination. I’ll never forget your hospitality. A million Thank You’d to you 4 gentlemen.
I called the store to make sure they had a motorcycle trailer which they confirmed they did over the phone. I was asked if I wanted to put a hold on it with a credit card, I said no since I was literally 2 minutes away. Once I got there, I was told they did not have it, that it had been rented (in two minutes??) I asked how long ago and the guy said about two hours ago. Once I explained to them how I knew they were lying, the lies kept coming... Dont waste your time with the people they have working at that store.
I reserved a car with the pre-online check in for pickup at 10 am on a Saturday. I arrive to see a line of 11+ people out the door, and only two people working the desk. I asked someone with a uhaul shirt on outside if there was a different place for the express check in and he said no. I feel like this may be a result of understaffing, but one would think that you would prepare for more customers on a Saturday and properly staff your establishment.What is the point of an express check in (with entering your ID info and credit card) if you still have to wait in line for nearly an hour? The reps take about 10-15 minutes per person when you get to the counter, so it kind of defeats the purpose of express. I heard other people in front of me ask about the same thing, to which the uhaul rep said that it doesnt matter if you had the express check in.Also, the line was so long that the door had to be propped open so it was pretty hot inside.Lastly, I initially scheduled for a different day at a different location. I couldnt change the day online, so I called uhaul (two weeks before hand mind you) to reschedule for me. I didnt realize it, but I guess she changed my pick up location without telling me. I was supposed to pick up at Greenville ave. By the time I realized it (two days before I checked in) I didnt want to mess with calling them again to change the location.Overall bummer experience. In the past Ive had great experiences with uhaul, so Im hoping this is just a fluke.
SCAM / BAIT AND SWITCH - beware if you rent from this location. Jose (the manager) told me that he couldnt honor my reservation without charging me more money (requiring that I purchase the most expensive insurance) because he wouldnt make enough money on the transaction - Im not kidding. He actually said that regardless of the price that I reserved a truck for that he wont rent it to me unless he charged me more! Do not go to this location - blatant scam!
Absolutely nothing could be improved. We were in a real time crunch after an unsuccessful search for a trailer the prior day. Jermaine, the incredible UHaul employee on duty at the Ferguson site, found a trailer for us and resolved an issue with the wiring hook-up, though we did not have an appointment (our prior reservation had been mistakenly made scheduled for Tennessee, NOT Dallas). He did all this while managing a flood of other unscheduled clients (he rented 4 trucks and 2 other trailers WHILE helping us). We were out of there in 45 minutes and made it to the place where we were to pick up merchandise (across town at DFW) in plenty of time. Jermaine was personable and professional, he also, calmly, but firmly, ensured that all customers that came in had masks and face-coverings. He restored our faith in UHaul (after the prior days issues and the mistake that had been made regarding our reservation) ... Jermaine made the entire experience great.
I originally reserved a uhaul at the Forney Rd location, but was not advised that this was a location where you use the app to pick up equipment. When I arrived no one was there and I was unsure of what to do. I called Uhaul and was given instructions only for there to be a glitch in the system because it couldnt pick up my gps location for an access code for the keys. I had to then call back and was transferred to the Uhaul location on Ferguson where I waited an additional 45 mins in line for help. All of this put me behind an hour and a half of my scheduled move. I recommend that the call center give CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS when customers book or reserve a Uhaul especially if its for the self serve app.
Long time user. Bait and switch, unprofessional staff. Reserved a 9ft cargo van for 24 hours was told if would have to be returned in 3 hours. He extended until 7P, weird. Preocessed paperwork then waited for 10 minutes to be told they couldn’t find the keys, said, “they were sorry”. Asked to speak with the “Manager” said, “ he would let me use a 10 ft truck” that was 1/2 full. Bottom line... extremely poor customer service and Amazon and others have commandeered their cargo van fleet (most locations) until January. Will NOT go back to this location.
The truck, especially the windshield, was very dirty and had cigarette ashes still in the ashtray. But the truck functioned and drove well.The UHaul smartphone app did not work for pickup, so I had to wait for them to open up the store and go through much of the check in process all over again. That was frustrating and time consuming but certainly not the fault of this location.I recommend UHaul quit promoting its contact-free checkin/check out app until it actually works.
I think their scamming customers with fuel. I checked out truck with a little less than 1/2 tank. They said was half. Not a biggy! I drove it 38 miles and added $15.00 in fuel. That was almost 7 gals. Their gas guage in truck was all over the place. When I put the fuel in, I took a picture of the guage and the mileage. When I dropped off and parked it, it said I had 1/4. I explained the issue with the guage and he said that the fuel must only be read at his place in the same spot. So, he charged me a additional $21.00 for not adding enough fuel. So...I paid $36.00 to drive 38 miles. Not Happy!
Prejudice management black mixed Reece Krugerburg. Twisted calculations on rental in city charges include every surcharges taxes took and lied that he didnt used my SSI debit card. He had every employee to use my debit card without my permission direct EXPRESS is investigating known violations in the past. Up to 400 dollars.
Dallas, Ferguson Rd location - I rented a small truck for an in-town move for about $30.00 flat fee. Was billed $182.00 two weeks later for other/misc fees. No new damage to vehicle. When I tried contacting them, I was ignored numerous times. This company/location is NOT worth your hard-earned time and money. Go with Penske or someone else.
The two people that I work with were super fantastic theres a black lady and a young black guys at 35 years old 36 34 somewhere along in there was excellent fantastic nice courteous made me feel really good about renting the car there or a truck so I guess Ill do it again anytime I need to rent something Im coming there.
The workers are a bit lazy here. Firstly, I have never had to pay extra for them to unhitch my car and all the other locations were kind enough to do it without having their hand out for more money. The gentleman that helped us at this location complained so much making me feel very uncomfortable. He complained about getting on the ground, complained about how it’s too hot, complained about having to get his tools, complained about how the chain was, complained about how it wasn’t his job… it is your job. He also told us he wasn’t going to do it & the money wasn’t worth him having to do it. All he needed to do was take a chain off. I’m not paying $1400 plus to have a worker complain to the paying customer about a job they are supposed to do. It’s very unprofessional. We also paid him in cash because that’s how much he was complaining to us making us feel like a burden. Luckily, we came super early and weren’t late to the airport. Go to another location where you’ll receive better service and better professionalism.

2022-07-25Very unprofessional, sold me a hitch I paid cash for and installed it incorrectly and I almost died when the trailer came off . Uhaul never helped me or paid for their negligence. So be careful of cash services at this location.

2022-04-06I am so impressed on how the employee Joe was communicating and assisting the customers, even it was a hot day and a long line in the propane. He was such a professional young man, courteous and capable to deal under pressure. He make sure I got my rental truck and the hitched properly attached. If there is an extra star on this review section I definitely give 6 stars 🌟 .

2022-06-21We rented a UHaul truck from this facility to move my grandmother across Dallas. The staff member that waited on my father started to work on getting his truck, and then without explanation, he left, and did not return to assist my father. Ultimately, he was able to locate another member of their staff. This caused an unreasonable delay. I would not recommend this location if you are in a hurry. Go to a different location with better customer service.

2022-07-05Angelique is a WONDERFUL associate; she provided quick, helpful, and friendly customer service. I ended up needing storage and needing to return my truck a day early and she was very informative and helpful throughout both processes. She even took a quick two minutes to call three locations nearby to help me find available storage. This quality of service is NOT guaranteed at all Uhaul locations. Certainly not the Westmoreland location where the associate’s go-to response was “I don’t know.”Thank you for making my moving experience a positive one Angelique. I can’t thank you enough.

2022-05-24My husband and I are moving from Bryan, TX to Midlothian, TX and rented the 5x8 trailer on 5/20/2022. When my husband arrived the trailer we reserved had a flat tire so my husband was told he would be upgraded to the next size at no additional cost. We returned the trailer a day early and when reviewing the receipt we see that we were charged for the larger trailer but at the rate for that sized trailer and not at the lower rate. My husband will be going by the U-Haul dealer to speak with the manager he talked to the day of the rental pick-up. If the rate was not going to be honored then why offer to do so. My husband even questions the contract that stated the wrong rate and the manager said he would fix it in the system. I guess he never did. Moving is stressful enough without having extra cost incur.

2022-07-06The staff and manager were rude. The manager did not acknowledge customers. Only one person was courteous. I rented a dolly but it was not in the truck, I had to go find one because the staff members would not help me locate a dolly.

2022-08-05The Staff on this day, were all men, they were rude, no one was inside the store for 8 or more minutes. They want you to do all the work, go find your truck, inspect it, take pictures but the app doesn’t work correctly. My truck needed air in the tires, and the gas gauge amount was not correct, it was less, I told him that and showed the picture I snapped with my camera, and all he said was okay, I’m still standing there, waiting for new paperwork, nothing.. This employee who gave me the truck instructed Me to go find the Guy outside, luckily he was right there cleaning out another truck, and tell him to add air, the air pump didn’t work , so the Guy outside told me to tell the employee that registered Me, to give Me another truck, I looked confused and upset because I’m already late, because of them,now you want Me to go back & forth like I work there. He took My key & returned with another another truck key and was like here you go. So unprofessional, be mindful I have a contract on the other truck, not this one, I definitely don’t want to return, but it’s the closet one, I’ll make that extra drive to another store, the entire staff need to go back to training.
