Made a reservation for Wednesday had to update online til Friday. Went to pick it up and they tell us they didn’t have a trailer that the update didn’t take and wouldn’t look at the email showing it had updated and let the guy in front of us have the same trailer with no reservationWon’t be using uhaul again you can bet on that
Customer service was exceptional. We were having issues in Amarillo with the trailer we rented from Dallas. The Store Manager was friendly to us and our dogs, upgraded us to a truck, and got us help reloading to get back on our way. I am so thankful for this store and the team that helped us out. Thanks!
We had to make a change to the reservation in person, and the whole ticket got messed up afterwards. They tried to reverse the reservation, but it kept trying to charge us automatically for it. The day we brought it back we had the amount refunded to us, but the next day we were charged the original amount of 720.50 and another 628.00 for the new total, now they wont refund us the 720.50. I will not use u-haul ever again for this. They have put is in such a financial downfall now.
While getting gas in Dumas, TX, my husband realized one of the tires on the U-Haul vehicle transport trailer we rented in Colorado was dangerously worn. I called U-Haul in N. Amarillo to explore our options. The manager did what any good manager would do and expressed his concern for our safety and suggested we call the 1-800 for service, but we felt we could make it to Amarillo. We couldnt believe it when we were in and out in 30 minutes with four new tires, thanks to Mr. Estrada in the service department. We were very happy with our experience and feel much safer on the road.
I went here to rent a truck when I was losing my home due to qmb coming up my check unexpectedly right when I just got my house though I was not able to rent a truck I was in an emergency situation and though I was a little frantic and a little emotionally unstable they were very respectful polite and patient they also allowed me to sit there so that I could feel comfortable and safe until I was able to leave!
If you going to use U-Haul use a different location because this location is trying to scam you and say that the vehicle is damaged. And the staff is really unfriendly and rude and there is a guy named Aaron and he was trying to charge us for extra stuff. And he was so unfriendly and unprofessional. I hope the company take care of that because U-Haul is a good rental company.
I rented a uhaul for an hour and a half to get a used recliner I had purchased. The uhaul I used was parked on the street. No one took me out to show me the vehicle I was handed keys and pointed to the box to drop the keys in. Today I look at my bank account and I was charged 38.00 and 570.00. I called the store and talked to the general manger she was very rude and said I had damages. I told her I used the truck to get one recliner and returned it no damages were made and if the were damages I didn’t get notified. She asked me my email and sent me a receipt for 502.00. I called corporate to despite the charges and demand pictures of the damages. Later on I look at my account t and another 531.00 came out of my account. Don’t ever use uhaul. As a single mother who has to pay rent in a few days I will never use this company again .!
We reserved a trailer for a trip that was planned for over one month in advance. This facility called two days before our trip and stated that we would have to drive to Plainview to pick up our trailer . We were told that we would be reimbursed $ 50.00 for our troubles. I called for that reimbursement and was told by customer service that we should not have been told that. Why make a reservation? This was and is very frustrating. I will never use uhaul again!!!!!
My experience with the staff here was absolutely unprofessional. I made my reservation for a trailer online a few days before I needed it and checked in early. I paid in advance for a 6X12 trailer which is the same price as the 5x10 trailer. Since I do not have a truck, I had a friend pick up the trailer since it was already paid for and secured. My friend shows up with a 5X10 trailer and I called to tell the staff that since I didnt have time to pick up another trailer and they provided the incorrect trailer, I wanted a refund. I made it clear that I would use what I had, but time was lost and I was disappointed in my service. He refunded my order and apologized. I was very happy with that. However, when I dropped off the trailer on time to the return, I asked if everything was ok with my account. The staff member working at that time proceeded to get more and more frustrated with my explanation and at one point even rolled his eyes at me. That was the final straw. I walked out and said I will be calling the general manager in the morning. Also, I will not be returning to this branch or possibly to uhaul for any other reservation again after how I was treated this evening.
Stay away from this facility folks!! I requested a storage unit that was 10 x 10 but that isnt what I was given. I received 2 units that were 5 x 10 that made it very difficult to accommodate my large pieces of furniture for storage. I later requested to only rent 1 of the 5 x 10 units after moving the majority of my contents out but was told that I couldnt do that and was given a bogus explanation that it was a computer issue! At least 40% of the time the 24 hour access was down or broken and access could only be done during business hours!! Again, stay away from this facility folks!!!!
I can highly recommend this place, especially Matt who works there. I had a reservation with Budget, had it for about 3 weeks. The day I was to pick it up, Budget couldnt find the truck and made me wait 7 hours while trying to find it or another one, all the while I had about 8 folks waiting who were to help unload a huge storage locker. I called Budget about 5 times but all theyd say was We only guarantee prices, not that well have a truck. Great help, that. Well I finally had enough and called Matt about 20 min before they closed and he got a 26 GMC ready for me by the time I got there. Great help with short notice, it was much appreciated!

2022-06-29Came in during a busy time but still got taken care of. Spoke with Rusty and excellent customer service!! Very impressed with how I was treated and the timely manner of which I was able to get a uhual vehicle, will be visiting this location again for my trailer and moving needs.

Considering My Own Vet Reps At The Amarillo VRC Refused To Help Me With My Storage Unit Bill Issues.I Just Want To Thank The Amarillo U-Haul Employees Once Again For Helping This Vet Out & For Taking A Load Of Stress Off Of My Mind.Stay Safe!!! 2020-03-08I set my time to get the truck and it was ready and clean. Evan helped me with paperwork and he was so nice, knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend going to this location.

2019-05-13This place does anything to avoid getting customers ! I have been calling for days , listening to this stupid music and nobody ever answers the phone. So I called the other uhaul in town and Same dam thing... I guess I gotta use another company.
