One of my two favorite local sushi places. Excellent service, food, atmosphere. Super friendly staff. If I feel like being a little pampered (for an extra $1-2) I go here. Place X is more laid back (they got their own good review) Umiya is definitely top notch. Have had sushi, sashimi, other, and totally satisfied. Love the presentation. Again, up scale and nice as opposed to homey and nice. You pays your money and takes your choice. Dont let the $30-50 scare you. I dont skimp when I dine.
Awesome service and everything was delicious. The Beef bento box was very fresh and the wife loved the sushi , this place will see my business again. The fried tuna we got, “on the house” was a very kind and delicious offering! As for the drinks selection I recommend the plum flavored sake.
This is mine and my wife’s favorite Sushi joint. We’ve been coming here for years and have always enjoyed their California, Rainbow and Umiya Roll. Their Sashimi is buttery smooth deliciousness. If you ever find yourself in Cedar Park or Leander, strongly recommend all of the above. ^
The miso ramen I had here is quite disappointing. The egg is simply water boiled without being seasoned, not ajitama eggs. The chashu is fat, which could be OK. But I think the chashu is not cooked enough time, so imagine the feeling of biting on hard pork fat and skins. And the noodles feel just like the instant noodles from shin ramen packs. The place looks nice and I figure other entrees are probably good. But the miso ramen needs serious improvements. Otherwise it will make restaurant lose potential customers (for example this one)
Our first visit to Umiya and on the whole it was a good experience. Most dishes were on the spot but there were a couple of misses. Service was friendly and the chef sent us an extra dish of poke that was nice and very much appreciated. We ordered a mix of sashimi (salmon - excellent, tuna - good, yellowtail - ok), rolls (spicy salmon - good but too spicy for kids) and bibimbap (excellent!)There are enough options on the menu to satisfy all tastes and this restaurant is definitely worth a visit or two when in the mood for sushi or korean food.
Ive been really excited to try this place because I am a huge sushi person and eat it all the time. I finally went for the first time today. I love the atmosphere and the staff is friendly and very courteous. The regular sushi I had was okay but I also had the raw nigiri that was unusually warm and the consistency was very off; I ended up not getting charged at all for the raw sushi. I also really appreciate the staff for taking the time to hear me out about my concerns and handling it appropriately. Regardless of my experience, everything else I had was nice especially the miso soup. Im excited to go back and try something else and change my current opinion.
We had amazing experience at Umiya. The service was top notch and food was divine. You can tell that the chef cares about what he/she puts out there. Will definitely go back again and again. Our waitress Christine was very attentive to details and she made us feel very welcomed
Their green bean beef is great its my favorite. My daughter gets beef lo-mein and loves it, there is usually enough for 2 meals, and it heats up well in a pan. They are very nice when you call to place your order and very friendly when you pick up your meal. I have never eaten at the restaurant so I cant tell you if the service is good or bad.
Came for family dinner, ordered some salad, sushi, bento box and noodles. Sushi came out reasonably fast and tasted okay, but seemed to be missing some components or the ratio of ingredients was off. Salad was fresh enough but a little bland.Ramen was made using instant noodles and likely a base from a packet. Ajitama egg was hard boiled and a little cold in the center. Bummer man, for the price I expected more.
I am a long time customer of Umiya Cedar Park. Last Night (6/20/21) we had an $85 take out order consisting of a variety of their bento boxes, rolls, rice bowls, appetizers, a lot. We picked it up and was told there was a new chef on duty. I have always loved Umiya, but last night was the BEST meal I have every had from them. The dishes were the same, but it was just so well prepared and presented, and every person in my family agreed. So whoever you are new chef, dont go away on us, we will always be customers but maybe even more frequently now!!!!
A cute, little restaurant definitely worth the visit. The portion sizes are generous for the price and the food is delicious! You can tell everyone working there really cares about the quality of the dishes and your dining experience. They offer curbside pick up to go, and dine in options. The NY Naruto roll was refreshing and unique. Their bento boxes are perfectly portioned and come with everything youd want for a full meal. I had a very pleasant dining experience on their adorable patio, coupled with the excellent customer service and delectable bites. I will definitely return here whenever Im in the area!
Ordered Umiya for curbside pickup on Friday night when our regular place had stopped taking orders early. Umiya was running really late BUT could not have been nicer making it up to us --- thank you, incredibly sweet blonde young lady! Then the sushi was great (especially loved the Red Flower Roll), AND less expensive. Umiya will now be our regular place.
Umiya more LIKE POOPIYA!!! Me and my girlfriend used to love this place... HOWEVER it has changed so much and for the very worst. It used to be cheap and yummy and we previously always had great service. Now, it all seems to be the bare minimum. We had the okayest service weve ever recieved there, the crab puffs were minuscule and low quality, they got our order wrong, and everything was too expensive. We didnt even get the complimentary miso soup that weve always recieved before. There was no flair, no soul, no love. I will be looking for a new sushi place. I want the old Umiya back. Sad!
It is my favorite japanese place. Ramen is excellent even to-go! Perfect sushi and rolls that decorated by flowers 💕 I also like bento 🍱, it is tasty and so much food. Sometimes they give me free extra food in my order, it is so lovely and tasty 😋 I highly recommend this place and always will go again ☺️ Arigato!
Put simply, we did not get what we ordered from the menu and they don’t seem to care. Bento was supposed to have shrimp tempura according to the menu but came with none. The shin ramen says chashu is in it and it did not come with any. I am pretty sure there was no nori either and likely missing other stuff. And they clearly didn’t care when asked about it. Also, For Korean food at that price, it was pretty bland. We won’t be back. I am writing and review and I never write reviews.
What a wonderful gem we found! My wife has a severe fish and shellfish allergy and you would not think that we would frequent a sushi restaurant. We ordered sushi as take-out last night, all veggie, and there was no cross-contamination and it was just delicious!! We will be ordering frequently!! Thank you so much!!
Update: downgraded from 3 starts to one. I tried to give them a second chance on my birthday today because I like sushi and its close to my house. Website showed they were open until 10. Got there and they take a break from 3-5 and we showed up at 4:40. I ended up at the Mexican restaurant two doors down. After seeing other recent reviews, I think it was for the best.Waitress got our order wrong. Ramen was good, sushi was ok. Service was ridiculously inept--we ate and left without ever getting the missing order which we tried to re-order twice (three times all together!) I still tipped more than 10% because my wife insisted. I felt like I would have been justified if I had not tipped at all.
Oh man great sushi! Great prices. Happy hour prices not set yet, so manager offered us deals and a free appetizer. The kimchi pancake is one of the best Ive had. Our favorite roll was the mile high tempura. All rolls were served on a big platter with lovely garnishes (a red flower for a splash of color next to the green of the wasabi, the gold of the ginger, and the pink of the Godzilla roll). The Godzilla roll was a terrific complex combo of flavors and textures. Great place, high recommend!
This place recently got a new owner and I came here today with my family and was VERY SATISFIED! The workers were very nice and gave us free dishes including a sushi plate. Yummy food and outstanding service. I would recommend coming here if you’re looking for a sushi place.
I love this place! Being half Korean and growing up eating this cuisine all my life I have had difficulty finding a place in the Austin area with quality Korean food. I have finally found it. Prices are reasonable and the owner always recognizes my wife and I. Not a big sushi fan, but the few times Ive had it there Ive been impressed. Only criticism I have is on very busy nights like Fri and Sat sometimes they are too understaffed so the service can be kind of slow and tables dont get cleared. However, Ive never waited more than 5-10 minutes to be seated so theres a balance.
It was good. The sushi was excellent. The service was pretty good. The ramen was not as good as I thought it would be. It was good, but not great. It was open fairly late considering. So thats a plus as well. The food is super fresh. Overall, Id go back because the sushi was so good.
Decided to try this place out with some friends because we wanted to try something new and wow was it worth it! Considering we had a fairly large group, we were given the room in the back where we were able to have some privacy and enjoy our meals and conversations with each other. They were really generous and even offered us some complementary Miso soup! I ordered the Spicy Pork Bowl and lets just say that when I go back, Ill definitely be ordering the same thing. My friends also let me have a bite of each of their orders and overall everything tasted really good! The combination of a friendly staff, great food, and good aesthetics will be enough for me to add this place to one of the few places I go on the regular! 5 out of 5!
My friend and I went to eat here today and this was the first time we had been. We love sushi, but trying out a new place is kind of a gamble. The staff was very nice, the ordering process is easy and it was fairly inexpensive. I will definitely be going back again. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Great food. Tasty, and with a nice presentation. The sushi was really good, and the other Korean and Japanese plates were really good. We liked the quaint feel of the decor. Prices are really good for the quality of the food. Well definitely go there any chance we get.
Come here often and have never been disappointed. They have a nice mix of Japanese and Korean options. The Korean soups, in particular, are delicious. Sushi and maki are fresh and well prepared. Service is always friendly and fast. Definitely, one of my go to options.
I live closer to Sushi Fever, which is another great spot, but I prefer the Yakisoba here at Umiya. This is my first visit and so Ive only had the Yakisoba, but Ill definitely be back! The decor is warm and inviting, the menu is extensive, and the young man who waited on me was excellent.I sat at the sushi bar and so was able to see a lot of plates go out to tables and the food looks fantastic! Ill be returning soon to try more of the menu.
Terrible service…20 min+ of nobody checking in on us.walked up to the front and asked if I could pay there…said I needed to wait until they finished entering another order and they would bring it to me…additional 10 min. Website AND front door advertise happy hour…we sit down and they say they no longer honor happy hour. Joke restaurant, don’t waste your time or money
I had dinner there on Sunday. The food is extremely good...the service leaves a bit to be desiredWe got there at 7p, ordered some appetizers and a few rolls and told the waiter we would eat what we initially ordered then order more, the waiter said ok.We chatted and ate, having a great time, finished what we initially ordered and went to order more....and was told the kitchen closed early (8pm) and we couldnt order anything else. Then he giggled and said he should have probably told us that earlier. So, we left hungry. What we ate was great, just wish wed been able to finish our meal.
I’ll start by saying the food was tasty and the waitress was very nice. But there were quite a few things I didn’t love about this place and sadly won’t likely return. We went for dinner on a Friday night. The white wine selection was super limited, they literally had 5 types of Chardonnay - that’s it. My daughter had ramen, and instead of a ramen egg, it’s was just a hard boiled egg. The special rolls weren’t tightly wrapped and kept falling apart in our chopsticks. The beef in the beef bowl was very fatty, most of it we just pushed to the side. And lastly, on our way out we noticed the fish tank at the entrance/exit and there were 4 or 5, bloated and dead gold fish just floating there.
I was traveling through Austin on a Texas road trip and had a craving for sushi. I Googled locations and Umiya came up as one in my area. The reviews I read made it seem like a decent spot so I thought Id try it out. It was definitely worth it! The seaweed salad was really tasty and the rolls I ordered were absolutely delicious. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to spot for sushi! The staff were friendly and the owner was really helpful with answering questions about the menu. Will definitely recommend it to others who are passing through.
This place used to be great, but due to a recent menu change, I cant recommend this place anymore. The sushi is disappointing, worse than supermarket offerings, and the ramen was horrible - way too salty and was not as described on the menu.Staff informed us the new menu was to reflect a rebirth of the restaurant and to drive away high ticket customers that didnt tip. In that respect, the rebirth is working, since I dont see many customers returning to this place after tasting their new dishes.
Food was ok, service was ok, ambience was ok .. so generally speaking everything was ok.Our food came out on the late side. Everything tasted average. Nothing to especially mention. The prices for Korean food were a bit on the high side but you do have to consider they provide the Korean side dishes unlike some other places near by.Service was a bit blah. The girl who was serving us didnt know the menu very well and was very slow to bring us essentials. They also close the kitchen a bit early so make sure to call ahead if youre heading over on the late side.Plenty of parking is available and they are located at the end of a plaza so make sure to look pretty far back in the strip.
This place serves a mix of Korean and Japanese food. The sushi was fantastic when I went, almost as good and Uchiko but more affordable. Service has been good the two times Ive dined here and the atmosphere inside is very comfortable with their large semi enclosed booths like youd see in some Korean restaurants. Id highly recommend this place.
We were very hungry when we arrived today. I ordered Yakima Soba with beef and my wife has Soon Dubu. We both totally enjoyed the food! The service was quick and courteous and the recent remodeling made the whole experience most excellent. We recommend it to friends or family.
Seriously the best Sushi & Shamini in the area! They have the RARE but delicious fresh washabi. Its so amazing! My husband said the only better salmon hes ever had was when he was in Alaska. Portions are amazing & you wont see slices like this in Austin anywhere! Services is wonderful. Rolls are all fantastic! We have never had a disappointing dish! Even their wine selection is good. The prices are reasonable too! Cant say more good things about this hidden gem. Although, I perhaps should, keep it too myself so they dont get too busy!
This place is great. I normally always get the stone pot bimbop cause i love the crispy rice at the bottom. They have amazing udon and the sushi is beautiful and very well made. They are very sweet and I never have to worry about asking for water refills.Only con is they have can soda and charge a steep price for it so we just get hot tea.A for sure must try and where I bring my out of state friends when they visit.
I am korean but grew up in Japan. And I know both Korean and Japanese food very well. I have been visiting Umiya since the last owner has opened The food had been excellent before but si ce the new owner has taking over, the quality of food has completely dropped! We ordered Bibimbap, chicken teriyaki and salad. There was not even lettuce in salad. No spi rich in bibimbap, so on. Was so bad that we couldnt even eat it! Refuses to refund and argued for a bit too long! Worst experience ever!
We went today to celebrate my husbands birthday. We chose this place for the special meal as we have been before and the food is great and the service is even better. Today the food was great but the meal was marred by the service from the two young ladies who were piggy backing our table. Soon after we got our rolls, the check was presented with no rush whenever you are ready but then was checked on three times if we were ready to pay. Had to ask for more ice tea. We usually order an extra roll at the end, one of our favorites and we had planned to...until we were rushed. When we were ready to pay, we asked are you closing in the afternoon (even though I had checked the times before going). The reply oh no the place is not closing but we are going off... So was the rush so they could get their tip? Well it was reflected in the tip we left.
Just left this place for lunch and wanted to share a review. The Korean food was excellent. The food was fresh, hot, and served quickly with a smile. The sushi was good but just your average sushi place. All and all a gret experience from this little strip center gem.
This place used to be a weekly destination for me. Dont know if it changed owners but service, and food has gone down. The Sushi does not taste fresh. I ordered a spicy salmon roll and I got a salmon and avocado roll with (I kid you not ) a blob of sriracha on top of each piece. When I complained, the staff told me that the sushi chef was confused about what a spicy salmon should be. They did replace it with the right thing at least. My mom order hot tea, and they used to bring a tea pot and a cup. They brought her a mug from (this was odd ) Pappaddeaux. Time to look for a different place.
Terrible service. Waiter kept apologizing for not getting our order right. Then the food took over an hour. We ordered about 4 items. Dumplings, Salmon roll, tempura shrimp, and a dragon roll. Why did it take so long? Then we asked for the check to be split. Part cash and part card. The waitress put it all on the card, 💸. When confronted about the cash portion, she looked confused and then disappeared for fifteen minutes. Umm... the ticket was for $50 and we gave her $20 in CASH for part of it. She came back to us (clearly after thinking it was okay to pocket the money for a tip!!!) and said I did not take it. Have it back...like really??? We approached the owner to correct the bill. She then charged my card twice without even noticing and proceeded to argue that she refunded the correct amount. Finally fed up and truly disappointed, we left. There is more I could type out that was just sketchy and wrong, but this place is just not worth it! 🙅. Save your time and money and visit another place!
I have been to Umiya several times. I went there last week and ordered a sushi roll and some ramen. I do like their sushi rolls, but am very disappointed with their ramen and their service. I do not know why I keep going back here, maybe because its in the neighborhood, but this will be the last time.
The food was very bland with no seasoning or flavor. Service was friendly but slow, by the time we got our meso soup we didnt want it anymore because the rest of our food was here. They kept forgetting to give us sauce so we had to ask like 3 times. Also whats up with all the fake fish in their fish tanks?
Would have been a single star if not for the great kid serving us. This is not an exaggeration, took 40 minutes to get our Sashimi and 2 rolls. Not busy and only 2 of us. Chefs seemed lost! To back up my theory, after waiting 40 minutes, both rolls are wrong..lol are you kidding me. They offered free Miso soup for the long wait and wrong rolls.. Maybe a free wrong roll would have made me feel better...Definitely recommend Sushi Fever on Whitestone, its usually busy (but worth the wait), will def not come back here.
This place gave horrible service. The power kept going in and out as we were eating. Our server was literally talking on the phone while I waited for him to remember he needed to get my drinks so I reminded him and he shushed me while he was talking. The manager consistently reached over our food to put things down and they waited until after to tell us it was cash only due to the power outage, which we didn’t have so they took down our card number, then proceeded to run our card multiple times without success. She said she would comp our meal because she couldn’t figure it out, but come to find out, she charged us. Horrible restaurant. Foods not even worth it.
Waited 10 minutes after sitting down before waiter came. But he did take our order right away. Had beef bulgogi bento box. Loved it! Miso soup is excellent. Brought everyones food except my wifes. Waited several minutes then had to get up and go find waiter and tell him someone didnt get their food. A couple of minutes later, he brought her food. Everyone at the table liked their food. Its quiet in there which is nice. You can actually have a conversation. The next day, I heated up the Chicken Yakisoba for lunch. While eating, found a metal twist tie in it. That could have really hurt me. Not sure Ill go back to that location.
Great service and one of the most versatile menus available. They have sushi rolls, many without Salmon, YEA, Bulgogi, bowls, Yaki and Ramen. All fresh beautiful presentation. The only reason for four stars is because they currently do not have a happy hour. They still have reasonable prices.
Staff is extremely helpful and kind. Service can tend to be a little slow but it youre in no rush its a perfect spot. The menu provides a wide variety of options and choices to pick from, all of them being delicious. Ive never spent over 25$ so not to expensive. If you ever have an hour to spare I would totally recommend.
The Bulgogi was very tasty. Loved the pickled radish. Sushi was inventive, not bad, but will not be the reason we return. (There is still Galbi and Ramen to try.). Service could have been a noodge more attentive...but wasnt bad, and all were cheerful and knowledgeable.
Waited for over 20 minutes just to get my ice tea. Then anther person come in after me and gets their food before me. All I order was two rolls. What really got me is that they made the comment that I came after rush hour. I wonder what I would have wait if it was rush hour. Don’t waste your time here. First and last time I will go there.
The bibimbap was a joke. $10 for a bowl of mostly rice with maybe $1 in vegetables and $0.50 worth of ground meat under the fried egg. Sent it back immediately. Also had the bulgogi bento box which was mediocre at best. Absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone.
Omg. So unimpressed with this place and everything, from the service to the creepy vibe. Felt like a cross between a morgue and a geriatric home. The two chefs did Not say a word to me while sitting at the sushi bar with the exception to do customary Bryan you very much bye......Food was fair at best.Have no idea who puts great marks or why.... but to each his own I guess.
I love their korean food! Their stone pot bibimbap and bulgogi is very delicious. There are lots of side dishes and the portions are very filling. Once I found this place I got addicted and told all my friends and family about this place. They relocated and the restaurant is both clean and welcoming. If you want good korean food, definitely give this place a shot!
Sunday night dinner with good friends. I ordered the Sushi and Sashimi Combination for dinner, and pork Bulgogi togo for lunch.Sushi combo was delicious. Fish quality was excellent. Generous portion sizing, and plate presentation to match. The Bulgogi, I half for lunch the next day. Tender chunks of marinated pork, with 2 big portions of rice, along with side of kimchi, and other Korean sides.I cannot wait to eat here again.
Summary: I visit this restaurant regularly with my wife. The sushi is always fresh with generous portions. All the menu items Ive tried beyond sushi have been delicious as well. Id recommend this restaurant above any other Japanese Ive tried in the Austin-area so far!Atmosphere: It is a relatively narrow restaurant with tables left-right-center. The decorations are appropriate. It would make a good date restaurant. The sushi bar has about 5-6 seats. It is family owned and the owners are very friendly.Sushi: As titled, the sushi has been great every time Ive come. Keep in mind this is Austin, if you compare to California its not going to be the same. Even so Id highly recommend the salmon and white tuna.Korean: This is also excellent! Ive tried the stone pot bibimbop and you should too. Its a hot clay bowl packed with rice, veggies, meat, and an egg. The rice cooks to the side for a nice browned flavor. Also the sashimi bibimbop which is a multi-item salad with sashimi. The traditional Korean sides are made in house and taste fresh and fantastic. I love the cucumber.Japanese: The Udon is spot-on. The Yakisoba is very good.I need to explore the menu more if I can get past my favorites. :)BTW - just my 2-cents:Below someone rates this a 1-star for a few reasons but primarily for insisting she did order sushi-C. There is no sushi-C, all the sushi lunch combo-s are L1, L2, etc. So Im not sure they have the right restaurant in mind.
I came here specifically for Katsudon. I was quite disappointed when my plate arrived and I found out their Katsudon was actually just tonkatsu with a side of rice being sold under the wrong name. That being said the food was still very good. The service and atmosphere was great too.
Always come here and eat. I have to say this is by far the best kept secret in town to dine.I am an exquisite person who has a passion for Japanese and Korean food and at this place theyre masters of there craft keeping it always with friendly service and taste.it always has a relaxing environment and it is very clean to. You will be not be disappointed
Worst. Food. Ever. Not Japanese. Not sure what it was. If you have any understanding of what good food is and know what it tastes like, then skip this place. As for the good reviews, more than likely they have never eaten good food so they cannot compare. No need to take my word, try it if you can.....I dare you too!
You know the feeling when your eating because your hungry but your dreading every bite? Even worse when you’re paying for it... Yeah that’s Umiya. The place smells like an underwater fish tank. Service is slowwwww and the rice on the sushi is gray. Plate smell dirty and the tables are sticky like they’ve never seen a rag...even a dirty one. Wasabi and ginger look like playdoh and I’m prerty sure I’m gonna be on diarrhea island later.
Placed order at 6:18. Yaki mandoo, Japchae, and Galbi ( so that Umiya knows exactly who I am). arrived to the restaurant and no one knew where my order was. turns out it wasnt even entered. I even confirmed with young man my order... repeated it several times. nope. not even on their radar. im pretty pissed but still waiting on my order.WORK ON YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Ive been wanting to go here since I moved here 6 months ago. My boyfriend and I went tonight and it was horrible to say the least. The food was tasteless seem to have been sitting around for a very long time, our service was terrible, and we couldnt even get a refill on our waters... super sad.

2022-07-08Super fresh. Meat was tender and marinated perfectly. The inside is nicely decorated with an open layout. The chefs make the sushi out in front. The menu is extensive. I will go back to try other dishes.

2022-07-05This is my favorite sushi place in the area. Not only is it affordable but has quality fish, there’s such friendly service that keeps me coming back. The manager David, is so very kind and he knows me by name. I enjoy coming here because the atmosphere is calming, the service is consistent every time I’ve dined in or ordered online. This place will be my go to for years to come. Thank you To David for making my mom feel special on her birthday, and for making us feel special regardless of a celebration or not.

2021-12-31Umiya Cedar Park has a wide variety of sushi and other Asian dishes. It wasn’t busy when we went so were sat right away. We shared a good mix of sushi rolls with my favorite being the spicy salmon. Been to Umiya a few times before. I’d describe it as a middle of the line sushi place.

2022-07-011st time and the rolls were so tasty, beautifully arranged and even miso soup is right, with slightly firm tofu that is nice. Fried roll is crunchy and delicious ingredients inside, will return when craving sushi. Pleased with the Chef for making a nice presentation, service is good, and nice atmosphere.

2022-05-22This is the best bang for your buck in terms of affordable sushi. I think they may have just hired a chef from Soto because they brought us out some things to try and it was out of this world! And reminiscent of some Soto flavors. Attentive service, decent sushi, never had a bad experience there.

2022-02-21Me and my wife ordered a miso ramen and a shin ramen and were greatly disappointed. First the miso ramen was missing its garlic and wood ear mushrooms, the chashu was chunks not slices and 2 of the chunks were nothing but fat, the ajitama eggs were just hard boiled egg out of the shell, like they cracked the egg and boiled it whole out of the shell till it was hard and turning gray and the veggies were carrot and zucchini sticks and giant slices of white onion like what you would have in a yakisoba dish. Now the shin ramen, was missing the chashu, the nori and the wood ear mushrooms, same nasty hard boiled egg and veggies were the same as the other save mine had kimchi which seemed like it was just boiled napa cabbage. The noodles in both seemed like the were the same as you would get out of top ramen packages.Reply to your response. Your menu off of your website clearly says you have shin ramen and when I called I was never told that was not an item you served plus the girl on the phone told my wife that it was a seafood ramen. When I called the girl on the phone had to ask a co-worker if your shin ramen had seafood in it and told me after checking that I was right, I then confirmed with her that the shin ramen I was ordering had chashu in it which she replied that it did. This does not change the fact that both ramen dishes we ordered were in fact made completely wrong as per your websites menu as to what was supposed to be in them. I added a photo of your menu off of your website for reference. At this point I wish I could give you no stars because either your lying or your employee is to save face. We were never informed of the items we ordered not available in any way and no place would ever TRY their best to make something that they didnt offer. They would call back and inform the customer that there was a mistake made and correct it rather then wing it.

2021-10-17Changed the menu up a bit, no more paper menu that you fill out and give to server so your order arrives correctly. Theres outdoor seating available. Food is still great!

2022-03-29I have been to the Umiya in Leander, but I visited the one on Cedar Park. They have good mix of sushi and good bento box. My favorite is the california roll and crunchy california roll.
