This is a very cute little place to get a cup of coffee or some food! They had about ten tables and two very cute sitting areas, one which I took a picture of. Their coffee and food are delicious and the people who work there are very nice! I definitely recommend this bistro.
Came here with my husband for Saturday brunch and everything was wonderful. We ordered specialty coffee drinks and they were absolutely delicious. We also tried the breakfast quesadilla, a panini, and some pancakes. All the food was top notch. Fresh and yummy! The wait staff was excellent, very pleasant and friendly!
What a gem Uncle Mike’s Bistro is. It truly is a family business; warm and inviting staff, plenty of variety on the menu and excellent pastries/grab and go options.I am always impressed with my meal here, Mike sure can work that grill - his attention to detail equates to consistency. Do yourself a favor and visit Uncle Mike’s Bistro, one of Argyle’s best!
Amazing find! The pastries are delicious and have creative flavors. I had a really great bacon scone with marmalade that I’m still thinking about days later. Fresh salsa with my breakfast quesadilla was also yummy. It’s hard to see the place from the road. I hope good word of mouth gets around. I’ll be back!
Amazing restaurant, from the food, the atmosphere, to the art on the walls. Try this place if you enjoy bonding over spectacular food and drinks. Their dishes will definitely make you smile! There’s so much heart here. Try the Philly cheesesteak- it’s so rich and delicious. Their iced coffees can send Starbucks packing, because the roast itself is so smooth and the sheer amount of care they put into making the drinks is something hard to find in an endless expanse of corporate cafes nowadays.
We are in town for a volleyball tournament and I wanted something for lunch besides fast food. We ended up at Uncle Mikes Bistro. The location was very cute and inviting, the staff was very friendly and the food was really good! I got the BLTA and it was huge! My husband got the philly cheese steak and it was big as well. Well worth the price. We also got a variety of homemade baked goods, but we haven’t dug into them yet. If we are in Argyle again, we will be going back.
This restaurant, because it is a restaurant, is unparalleled in terms of service, consistent food quality, and service in the whole DFW area. I have been to five star restaurants in Dallas, Fort Worth, and everywhere in between, but none have come close to the whole experience that UMBs provides. My server, a strange, but kind curly-headed student, in combination of the owner, Val or Valerie I think her name was, made my short time there delightful. I had a sandwich, either called a New Mexico or Arizona, I dont remember which, but it was perfectly good. Perfectly good is too often removed from these smaller bistros, but again. UMBs delivers. I had but a short chat with the other owner, The Uncle Mike, but our conversation left me with a singular vision: dedication. These people, hard working/god fearing people, are dedicated to their vision of a good place to be. They have achieved it and then some. The only sad part is that I dont come out to this area much. The people of Argyle are lucky, but beyond that they are blessed with people who care.
Just had lunch outside at this pleasant little cafe in Argyl. The service was good. The Greek panini and Tuscan sandwich was perfect. Bread and ingredients all fresh with great taste. Coffee and zucchini cupcake with cream cheese topping very good. Little difficult to find but getting new signage. Outside a gem. Try it out.
Quaint, charming, welcoming little place. Great service and food. We are from out of town, but will be visiting our family in Argyle, TX frequently. We intend to eat at Uncle Mikes Bistro on each visit. Weve already recommended the restaurant to family and friends who live in Argyle.
Lovely little place and the new owners are so friendly and sweet. Everything we’ve had has been so yummy we’ve been returning weekly. My kids love the French toast and hot chocolate. We’re looking forward to the spring and summer when they plan to switch it up a little and do deserts and outdoor seating. ❤️
One of the worst customer service experiences of my life. I wish I could give 0 stars. The waitress was extremely ditzy and was incapable of remembering a simple order. Instead of writing down our orders she tried to remember our order and then would forget and have to come back and ask. My friend ordered a latte and the waitress asked twice to clarify what she wanted and the waitress brought out the wrong drink. We did not mind until we tasted the drink. The coffee was sour and the espresso was burnt. I flagged down who appeared to be the owner and asked if it would be possible to replace the drink. She rudely interrupted our question and exclaimed that her espresso is ground fresh weekly and she then refused to give us another drink stating that it will just taste the same. We couldnt even bare to sit any longer so we asked them to cancel our order. Overall a horrible experience.
If you have not tried this place. You must!! I love the coffee! Hands down yummy. But the food is amazing too!!!. I have had the scones, which I love. But the other day I had pancakes. An omg!! When you dont even need syrup, then you know its good. This is all from scratch. So delicious. Then I went home with some muffins. Those are amazing too. I had one of each flavor. Chocolate chip is my favorite. But they were all good. Mike is an awesome cook. An Valerie is gonna take care of you, making sure you are happy and comfortable as can be. Go check it out.
Those who know me, understand how important COFFEE is to me. I’m proud to be Colombian and I will find ways to mention it in any conversation. With that said, I love GOOD coffee. Ever since I moved to this wonderful country, I’ve been disappointed with the quality of this vital drink.Today, I’m happy to announce: I have found the perfect cup of coffee at the Coffee Tree Café. Yes, the place is beautiful, the service is excellent, the menu is delicious and the prices are super-affordable…but the coffee is absolutely AMAZING! Don’t believe me tho, come try it!
First time visit. Lovely place. Will definitely go back. Great setting for sipping a hot beverage and having chicken salad while reading the paper. Coffee and salad were delicious. Very friendly and solicitous service. I think the owners were the ones who helped me. Such a great location too! Highly recommend it.Update: Came back for a BLTA with chips and a mocha. Very very good quality everything and very reasonably priced. Busy place!
My family and I came here for lunch and were very impressed! The food was excellent, the coffee was smooth, and the owners are so kind! I had the grilled chicken panini and it was the perfect amount of food! Everything is made from scratch which is a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this cafe.
I loved this little coffee shop. Stopped by often, at least once a week. Great breakfast menu and really enjoyed the coffee. Went by this morning and found that the business had closed for good. So sad to see it go. Looks like the another business may be opening in the same space November 1 or thereabouts. Ill miss the breakfast quesadillas at The Coffee Tree, the great lattes and the wonderful staff.UPDATE 11/10/2020: The Coffee Tree has reopened under new management and with extended hours. Ive been back several times now to enjoy coffee and sample the new menu. Enjoy!
Tried this spot for the first time today. Originally I was getting a little anxious about the wait for my food, however it was totally worth the wait. Took about 20 minutes, but had a hot, fresh Cali Chicken sandwich. The cucumber salad on the side was also delicious.
First time coming here, took my wife and 5yo son in last minute (traffic) for dinner last night. The owners Mike and Val were more than accommodating , staying open an extra 30 mins without rushing us to order. Very warm, and welcoming experience to say the least. These people really do care about their customers and its obvious from their cozy atmosphere and friendly personalities, they love what they do. I ordered the philly steak and wife had the turkey panini, both were amazing. Followed up with a wonderful Tirmisu concept that was original and delicious. We will definitely be making the trip again.
Visited Coffee Tree Cafe and it was AWESOME! Tried the breakfast quesadilla and the old fashioned.....all super fresh and hot. Flavors in the food was amazing. BEST coffee in the world. If you want a top notch world class breakfast you need to come to Coffee Tree Cafe!
The muffins are DELICIOUS. I wish I had ordered 3 of them. Though I absolutely would not have been able to eat them all because theyd be huge. I wish there was a calorie approximation but I think theyre home made so I know thats probably a big ask. Im surprised they changed the name. Anyway, its aesthetically so comforting. Will be coming back here regularly.
I drive by this place often, and I have always wanted to stop in. Today was the day that I finally followed up. I’m glad I did! The place has great ambiance and is very clean and inviting. It has plenty of seating inside and nice outside seating as well.I’m not a coffee drinker, but they seemed to have everything that I’ve seen people order. I was hungry. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla with bacon, an unsweetened peach tea and a gluten free apple muffin! Everything was delicious! The assortment of muffins and cupcakes on display really triggered my sweet tooth. I will be back to try those on another day!
I loved the design makes me feel cozy. Food is delicious and staff are very welcoming. I recommend coming here to study, work, and have a little meeting. The whole place is very clean. The colors are very warming, and make me feel at home. I tried their new Pumpkin Spice Muffin , Smores Latte, and their Gluten-free Apple Cinnamon Muffin all of which were wonderful. EDIT 4/26/19: I recently revisited this place, and tried their “Gluten-Free Cranberry Orange Muffin”. Oh. My. Gosh. This is the best muffin I have ever tasted. Also with it being Guten-Free, that just gives me another reason to love it!
Absolutely amazing place! This is a cute little brunch/ lunch spot! I will definitely be coming back here! The prices are super cheap and it’s totally worth it! Our waitress was amazing and she’s also the owner 🥰 I love supporting small business and will definitely be back for their great food and amazing caramel cappuccino ☕️
Found this place by searching for nearby food in Google. The food is incredible! Service is friendly. Some of the best coffee I have had in awhile and actually had coconut milk. And you cant leave without trying a cupcake... Delicious, very rich. My only regret is I live hours away and most likely wont be this way again.
Argyles secret! Great coffee. I think the vision here is to exchange potatoes for pastries. No spuds here. However the omelet was full of protein and left room to really enjoy the coffee. I left feeling satisfied. Ambiance is definitely a big plus. This is the place for friends or family looking to have that B&B feel.
I cant say enough good things about this place! Unmatched customer service, EXCELLENT food, free wifi, and a cozy, inviting setting with beautiful outdoor seating. The owners will greet you by name and genuinely care about you experience. Oh, and the cupcakes... wow! Try it--you wont be sorry.
Espresso was not very well extracted. Had an off flavor. The barista gave me the wrong change and when I asked for the coffee in a mug since I was staying, she gave it to me in a to go cup. Not a huge deal but coffee shops are a lot of times about the experience. This one kind of lacked that.
A group of us ladies go here once a month for lunch. The last time we were here we noticed that they had redone their menu. In the past we could get the quiche and substitute the fruit bowl with soup for a small upcharge. You can still substitute the fruit but you pay full price for the soup. Say what? Yep thats right. Rather than say the words there are no substitutions, they would rather make you think you can and then stick it to you in the pocket book. The food here is already over priced, but now its even more so. On the upside the coconut cupcakes are delicious and if you go on Monday they are buy two get one free.
This place sucks, just anouther two white dudes up front with mexican music blaring from the back, run of the mill over priced half ass small portioned unoriginal food menu. So dam bland, i left paying 10$ still hungry.Really was hoping it was somthing new for such a fancy area.

2022-07-16What a find! My husband found this little gem for a brunch date with his dad, and it did not disappoint. From the second you walk in, it feels like youre part of the family so seat yourself and wait for your friendly waitstaff. I ordered a delicious chicken sandwich with tomato and avocado. The side was a choice of chips or cucumber salad. (If you would be that person who ordered the chips, just stop reading this review because McDonalds is where you should be eating.) The cucumber salad had the right amount of everything -- seasoning, cucumber, vinegar -- AMAZING. My one disappointment was that they didnt have sweet tea; but, our waitress brought me an unsweetened tea with a side of peach-flavored syrup to try and... WOW! Peach teas all around, please. After the meal, we had three people come over to ask how the food was and if we were satisfied. Im going back. This time, Im ordering BREAKFAST!

2022-04-10If youre in the area stop here! Im from out of town and I wish I could eat here all the time. Its a relaxed and loving feel here. I saw some customers come in and could tell they are regulars. The food was so good. I did the build your own omelet and I was very impressed. Tasty and filling. I was so full after that but I had to try a chocolate muffin. It was genuinely the best one I ever had. ❤️All in all 10/10 Id go back all the time if I could!

2022-03-26Greek chicken Panini was delicious and I appreciate their gluten free option pastries. The banana walnut was very soft and sweet. You couldn’t tell it was gluten free. Very nice home-like vibe.

2020-11-14This is a great place. Its cozy. Has a couple nooks to relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee and a scone. An outside sitting area with a view. I highly recommend the French toast. Coffe Tree is owned and operated by a couple so when youre ready to put your troubles down for just a bit hit this place up.
