United States Postal Service in other cities:
Got there just in time to pick up my package, it went to my old address (I was coming from South Austin). They told me they were closed and I had to leave as I was talking to the pick up clerk. She told him not to help me. I told her I had drove all the way from South Austin, she told me I should of came earlier and I told her I had to work then pick up my kids from school. Terrible people that have no decency to help you out.
The receiving clerk who passed out hold mail not by choice I may mention, was very rude to each and every customer she waited on. I did not get her name but she was a older black woman with grey dreadlocks. She did not want to check to see if I had mail there in which I did. She stated there was no supervisor there to speak with. Another lie. Why are you even working there? Nobody gets paid just to have an attitude. Do your job or retire already.
Sent 2 boxes of books to my new home, 1 box returned to sender because USPS Northeast couldnt find my address even though they delivery other mail here everyday. Second box is still missing somewhere in the system... Have opened case with USPS customer service, national level customer service rep who helped open the case was very professional but since the case was assigned to this local Northeast office there has been a long delay in receiving any news and have been on the phone 4 times this morning trying to speak with someone, the operator either hangs up or answers and says hell connect me but doesnt and then hangs up after Ive been on-hold for 2 minutes.
Honestly the worst experience i’ve had with USPS has came from this location. They marked one of my packages as delivered, when I never received the package. After a couple of visits to their office it was very apparent that they are not going to locate my package and that it’s something they’re not interested in helping me with. In addition to losing packages, the carrier sometimes doesn’t deliver our mail. I truly believe that this the worst usps location in the area.
Went there on a Saturday because somehow my packages were never scanned and now they are lost because of their imbecilic employees. Also when asking for a print out of the internal tracking history and telling them my mother is a retired post master. The black woman with neon green nails and a purple shirt made fun of me in the back room out loud while I was waiting to see if she had found my package. I’ve never met someone who hates themselves and their job so much they have to make fun of a client who was being extremely polite. Go get another job instead of treating people like trash since you so clearly can’t handle what you’re doing. Both my parents worked for the post office for 25 years and handled better than your pathetic 2 year run.
This location is an outlier in USPS incompetence. Our mail carrier doesnt deliver mail -- hes been trashing/bouncing packages -- and when we reached out to our neighbors, theyve been having the exact same issues. One reported him smelling like a liquor cabinet, another damaging her mailbox; all on his unprofessionalism and penchant for driving while talking on his cell phone. Management (How are you doing, James and Kinsey?) gaslight you with promises of addressing these issues, which they never do. Go directly to your congressional office and USPS at the state/national level with issues.
Im sure the staff at this office are overworked and underappreciated, as thats the only explanation for how a post office can be this terrible. Our mail is frequently lost, returned to sender, or misdelivered. When Ive tried to call, nobody answers the phone. When Ive opened cases, nobody responds, then marks them as resolved, and our packages remain in limbo.Somewhere in this office Im sure theres a box of some very dead plants we ordered months ago that never arrived. It genuinely is bewildering.Ive made several moves across multiple states and literally never had an issue until moving into the area supported by this office. Please guys, at least answer your phone or enable some kind of voice message system! Help me prevent any further plant casualties!
We’ve had really bad service from USPS here lately. Packages usually arrive late and often very much worse for wear. They completely failed to deliver a package right before Christmas last year and marked it as delivered. I received one voicemail message after filing a claim and never got refunded for it.I had a package arrive a few weeks ago that was torn and some of the contents had fallen out. It had a few pieces of official USPS tape wrapped over one end to hold in what was left. The rest of the contents were lost. The company that sent the package filed a claim, and I had to take the package to the post office for inspection. It was such an aggravating experience. Two of the people there were extremely rude and entitled. Instead of apologizing for the terrible service, I was treated like an inconvenience and dismissed and summoned with hand gestures. This organization is getting worse and worse. I will be paying more money to use other carriers and avoid USPS as much as I can in the future. They’re awful!
I was supposed to get my package delivered a MONTH ago and was never delivered but they scanned it as delivered and told me I was lying that I didn’t get my package!!!! I’ve had to open two cases regarding this and going back and forth with usps for a month I got a call yesterday and they told me I was supposed to pick it up from the post office and they sent it back to the sender! First of all, my package WAS supposed to be delivered, second of all why was it scanned as delivered if I was supposed to pick it up?!?! The people on the phone were helpful as there wasn’t much they could do, and the ladies at the front desk were kind and understanding but I will NEVER be getting anything shipped through the postal service after this.
The only reason I have less-than-delightful experiences here is not because of the staff, but because of other customers. The Post Office is not a business, its a service, and the solution to it being understaffed or whatever other complaints people tend to have is not to write bad reviews but to get out and vote for people who will actually fund the USPS.Diatribe aside, everyone who works here is really sweet and the team seems like they have a great working dynamic, which makes for a good atmosphere when Im just running my errands. If theres ever a cheaper way to send my package, it is suggested, which I appreciate as someone whose friends and family are scattered across the country.
Have not had my mail delivered in several days and have had several packages go missing. Bizarre notices on the tracking page “unable to access location,” “will be redelivered next day due to mechanical failure” and then marked delivered but never delivered … What is going on??? Several hundreds of dollars of packages lost. I went into the office to try to find my packages, they took my # and never called me. Please get it together!!!
I dont know what sort of Extra people have to be to leave a scathing review of a post office, but I *do* know that when I went in today, every single person on the clock was friendly and working hard. They moved the line along efficiently and dealt with my awkward self fumbling over forgetting how to human interaction and what pocket is my wallet in again? like it was nothing. I thought they were great, and heck yes I would recommend them.
This is the worst post office I have ever dealt with. They have been the post office responsible for my mail delivery for 4 years at two different residences and I have nothing but problems with them.It all started when they just stopped delivering mail to our address at the previous residence. For 6 weeks. During the winter holidays. I went to the post office 3 separate times to try to figure out why we weren’t getting any mail. They told me there was no hold on our address and checked multiple times for held mail. None. Zero. Christmas cards, gifts, bills, you name it... not only could they just not find it, we never received any after the fact. It wasn’t just lost, they straight up threw it away. Unbelievable. So, we ended up buying a house a year later about 8 miles away from the former residence. We assumed our mail would be routed through the post office just a few miles from the new house, but were horrified to find that this ring of hell is where we’d pick up our keys for the mailbox. This post office is NOWHERE near the house, it’s 12 miles away! I felt like the universe was playing some kind of cruel joke on me.I show up to this godforsaken place to get my mailbox keys. Guess what? They can’t find them! I told them to go look again and not come back until they have my keys. Somehow they found them this time. But the fun doesn’t stop there. Every time I order anything, I pray it comes UPS. If it’s USPS, I have a good 20% chance of actually receiving it. Sometimes it’s “delivered” to my mailbox but there’s no key for a package locker. Other times, I get a key for a package locker but it doesn’t open the locker. Then I call the phone number that no one ever answers and end up just leaving a note for the mail carrier because maybe then I’ll get my package. The new thing they’re doing now is marking my package out for delivery but then after it should have been delivered to a locking mailbox, it’s “being held at customers request”.You cannot make this stuff up, people. I would gladly pay someone else to handle my mail if it were even an option, but it’s not, and all I can do is sell my house and move 70 miles away to get out of this post office’s radius that somehow covers 80% of Austin. Are the other post offices all a secret front for some kind of hush hush government program, ‘cause I’m really starting to wonder.
I hate to leave a negative review, but I was treated badly at this post office. At first, when I just got there, it was not busy at all, just a few people were in line, and I was standing in the line for picking up my package. There was a lady, her name is MISTY, she told me and another lady was in the line in front of me to switch line over to her (the line for people shipping mails and packages), even though I already told her I dont have anything to ship, i need to pick up my package. SHE STILL UNFRIENDLY TOLD ME JUST GET OVER THERE. I was waiting patiencely in the line until it get to my turn. After helping the lady in front of me, it started to get really busy, the line behind me is getting long and long, then she refused to help me, she told me to go back to the PICKING UP line and started over to wait again after a long line even i was in that line at the beginning. REALLY BAD SERVICES!!!
The post office is pathetic! The mail carriers continously put my packages in others residents mailboxes and when I go down to inquire I get the runaround at best or disrespected at worst. These mail carriers in my opinion are lazy and careless with no accountability. I wish there can be independent mail carriers!
Terrible. If you go physically to the office during regular hours theyre fine-ish. But if you go to their Saturday window and ring the bell for service (the thing the tell you to do) theyll make you wait for 20, 30, 40 minutes. I waited for nearly an hour, ringing the bell pretty consistently before somebody finally decided we were worth helping. And then theres having a mailbox on the route that this post office services. I hope you dont want your packages because they just dont deliver them. And then you need to go to the post office and wait an hour for them to come to the counter and give you your things. Honestly, the worst post office I have ever had to deal with.
This post office is great. I have to come here as part of my job a lot and they’re so helpful with whatever I need. I had to get the key to our mailbox and I thought it would be a lot more difficult but they handled it well. Sending out stuff is never a problem either. I especially like Mistys customer service. She’s fun to talk to and very helpful :)
Why have a number listed if nobody ever picks up!! First of all I received a “final notice of delivery” without receiving any notices prior to the final. Then i tried to reschedule the delivery through their website and changed my entire days plans so I could be home on a Saturday to sign for this package because like most humans i work Monday through Friday and can’t be home to sign for a package. Then nobody ever showed up. I then tried to call the 800 number and had to wait on hold for an hour to speak to a representative just for them to tell me they couldn’t redeliver it again. I have for the last week and a half been trying to call the actual branch with my package and nobody ever picks up and after 3 mins a busy signal comes on the line. Several times somebody picked up the line and just hung it up without speaking to me. This package is important and I will never be able to pick it up because of all this nonsense. I am so irritated beyond belief.
Today, I specifically stayed home all day to wait for a package. Around 2pm, the tracking information updates indicating a failed delivery attempt - but no one even tried to deliver my package. This happens _all the time_ and after the last time I installed security cameras to see whats really going on. I checked the cameras and the carrier hasnt been down my street yet - they didnt even try, and not only is today a complete write-off, but their earliest possible redelivery time isnt for 3 days. I love the fact that Im 50-50 to repeat this experience any time I order anything! (sarcasm)Also, they never answer their phones (Ive even been hung up on before), they often try to close early (Ive come in at 4pm on a weekday and been told they are closed despite the clearly posted business hours) and generally seem allergic to doing their jobs. Really wish USPS would audit this location because based on the other reviews, it seems that Im not the only one experiencing this.
Reviews are consistent. Went to this location today before 10am and just at the get-go they spoke to and treated me like I was incompetent. I needed to have something post marked, but saw I had something in delivery that I thought I could pick up since I happened to stop in. Yes, I realize you get countless packages LADIES , you work at a post office. Please say good morning BACK when your patrons greet you. I’ll know who to blame if what I mailed doesn’t get to where it needs to go.
There is a word to describe my experience with this Post Office and their carriers; apathetic. Our neighborhood has a carrier who just doesnt seem to care about anything. We have packages and mail delivered to the wrong address all of the time. When I bring our issues to the management at this Post Office, I am promised change which never happens.I see news stories about how the Post Office loses billions each year. At this point, they only thing they deliver reliably is disappointment and junk mail. I say let them go out of business.
I scheduled an appointment for a passport 3 days prior to me coming in. I received a text message, email, and even a print out that confirmed my appointment.Upon arriving at the office I got tons of dirty looks and attitudes as soon as I mentioned I was there to get a passport. One lady yelled “we aren’t doing it” while another ran out saying she called me to cancel my appointment. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL, however they sent me away without even giving an option to reschedule.Terrible terrible post office.DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION
***USPS has the cheapest shipping in most cases, but their reliability is by far, hands down the WORST among the 3 carriers. The quoted delivery times from USPS are completely hit or miss. While USPS “guarantees” their delivery times, what this really means is that they’ll refund your money if the package is delivered late or lost. Its just not worth the headache most of the time:A shipping refund doesn’t make up for annoyance of losing a package, or being on the phone with their God-awful customer service for hours trying to figure out what happened.Meanwhile, I’ve yet to ever have a FedEx or UPS package delayed or lost.***Conclusion: If the shipment is important and/or urgent go with FedEx or UPS.The extra $ is worth the piece of mind - read all the reviews for usps, there is just a much higher probably they will mess up, delay or outright lose your package.
My wife and I were there to get replacement passports (lost ours). We felt extremely fortunate that we didnt have to wait more than 5 minutes. Amy assisted us and was delightful. We had our paperwork in order, and she had us processed and out the door in well under an hour.
Just moved here to Austin first time ever.. so I went to the post office which is not even close to my location, But is the one assigned for my neighborhood. Anyway went to get the keys and they told me they have to make the keys which would take 2 weeks...they told me they will call when they are ready, like a dumbass I believed them so 4 weeks passed by no call or nothing so i decided to go to the post office and check for myself. When I asked the lady she said oh yea theyre ready and gave me the keys with the mail that I told them to hold until I got them. *also dont wait for a call they wont call you* First 2 weeks I got mail even if it was just some that you throw away but since havent received any mail nor packages that Im waiting for. I received a notification on my phone stating notice left, attempted delivery failed first of all Im home everyday, second theres no noticed on door, Windows, garage door, not even on the trees. Either your employees are lazy/lying or stealing packages. I also have the mail app which shows you what mail is either in your mailbox or on its way and I never received them. Whats going on??? I have never had a problem with my mail before, nor with other USPS stores this is very disappointing this place doesnt even deserve a star.
Constantly loses packages. I dont know what their hiring process is but so far weve had 3 packages lost in the past 2 weeks. Prior to that we had about 1/10 packages arrive successfully. Of course there is no method of complaining, simply a we will do our best to find your lost package. Yeah thats great, but what if the package isnt able to be replaced because its a memento. Never use USPS for anything. Ever.
All the review on here is spot on. I wish this post office do not handle my mail and package. Within the last couple of years they deliver my package 5 times in a wrong address. The latest was last December, this is a very expensive package for my daughter xmas gift. The sender which i pay a lot for shipping told him to ship it 2 day so it will be here on the 23rd just before XMAS. I took a vacation that day and stay home waiting for the package but never arrived, so around 4pm i look on the internet and check the tracking and said it was delivered on our door/porch step. So i went to the post office immediately and told them that i did not received the package and make sure we can track it. The supervisor told me it was delivered but in a wrong address, AGAIN. I told them make sure we can track it because that is a very expensive item. Anyway to make the story short, until now no package, i kept going over there to follow up but same story the company they delivered my package was closed during the holiday and they just processing all their shipment at the warehouse. I also kept calling to follow up but i stopped calling because the person who always answer the phone was very rude. I think her name is Mary, every time i talk to her i swear to god she sounds like drunk, or just woke up or maybe stone or high. She like dont know or pretend she doesnt know what i was talking about but she talk to me many times on the phone already and probably recognize my voice. Anyway I already learn my lesson I will never used USPS anymore for expensive packages especially if the post office handling my package is the one located at 900 Blackson Avenue, Austin, TX. I am not sure what kind of business they running over there but they do need a different leadership. You can feel the stress when you go to that local post office, everyone on the counter look stress and look angry. I feel like everyone over there dont want to work there or dont want to be there at all. Very poor customer service.
Tracking indicated my package left this office and was stuck in transit for over a week (the destination was 1 mile away) Since they didnt answer the phone, I arrived there myself for answers. I was informed that that my package, worth hundreds of dollars, had been misplaced after being scanned in by the driver. They even admitted it! Yet, they said they are not responsible for lost packages, and sent me on my way, doing nothing to help resolve the situation. If your business is mail, and you misplace that mail, how is it not your responsibility??Fortunately, Amazon was able to reimburse me in full. 6 months later, the package is still listed as in transit a.k.a. likely stolen by the driver or someone else.
I had a issue because when I dropped off my package it did not get scanned into the tracking system so it appeared as if it was never sent. I had to call 4 times to get an answer. My problem was eventually solved as my package was indeed delivered (even though it wasnt able to be tracked) but I find it unacceptable they dont answer the phone but 1 in 4 times.
This is my post office and twice now they have left packages I have had shipped sitting in the office for a week! The supervisors excuse for it today was they were in between employees, and it was never scanned in. In May this happened with Ebay purchases and I filed claims with every individual seller claiming my package was missing when it was just at the post office sitting there! Unhappy and will be ordering all future packages to my office moving forward! Trust your tracking numbers!
Doesnt get any worst than dealing with the USPS. Tracking that shows they sent item to wrong post office and over a week later its still sitting there after sending emails and making phone calls to correct it still nothing. Take your change in using the USPS that you will get your item. This isnt the first time having a problem as its on going. My neighbors are always bringing me my mail where are sorting in wrong box.
Today I went in to get my passport on an appointment, very friendly lady named Molly helped me out. Everything went quick and smoothly. However, there was a mistake that had happened and she personally contacted me via phone to make sure I got the information into her today. Because of her quick work and way of making sure her customers get the needed service I am giving a 5-star! She was very professional in everything she did! Thank you again for helping me Molly!
Needed help regarding a delivered package that is missing and never got a solid person to answer the phone. First time they told me to wait and never responded after thirty minutes. Tried again a little later and every time someone DID answer the phone there would be silence before hanging up on me. I understand being busy but why have the phone if youre just going to blow off whoever calls? Worst service. One star is too much for them.
What is a good number for this Post Office ? The trackings says the package was delivered on Saturday at 6:30 pm and I didnt receive my laptop I ordered. Its Monday morning and cant get anyone to answer at this post office. Do they have a supervisor or manager running this location ? I would be on top of ratings to make sure good customer service being provided.
Good service for passport appointment. Had to wait about 10 min past appointment because they get a bit busy during lunch hours, which isn’t too bad considering. Molly was very friendly and helpful with getting my application sorted out and the correct steps taken to get a passport. Attention to detail was great.
I would give this place zero stars if it was possible. They delivered two different packages, on two different days, to the wrong address. My address was not written incorrectly either time (one was an eBay item, and I confirmed with the seller that she printed a shipping label directly from eBay which had the correct address). The address they delivered to by mistake was also not down the street, it was a different zip code (as shown by the online tracking info). This office needs new staff or the current staff needs to be trained because they are NOT doing their job correctly.
I order online pretty often and suddenly every package seems to be coming through the USPS. Of the last five packages Ive received, four had SIGNIFICANT damage. One 14x14x2 inch box was folded in half. That takes serious effort. If the damage isnt happening at this office, its happening somewhere along the line and is still a failure of the USPS. Im notifying the shippers as well. Hopefully they will go back to UPS and FedEx.

An important item was not delivered, went to pick up, however, it could not be found. As this is a high value item it should have been locked in their secure location, but again could not find it. The spervisor was very nice and did what she could, told me my carrier was off that day and had me fill out a form to trace my package, that Id be called the next day. Its now a week later and no call, only to find that their phone number listed asks for a pin or secure ID number to be entered. The package was not delivered and has not been returned to the sender, but the tracking number shows it to be AT this office location. Should I be worried?
I have lived in 5 states and have never had such poor service from carriers. Just tonight, my neighbor brought me mail placed in her box. It just happened to be the pin # for my new credit card. less than two weeks ago, supposedly delivered to me was $30 worth of stamps from USPS. I guess just not to my box. 1 year ago, I had a check for $500 never show up and prior to that, 3 tickets to a local theatre worth over $250. When I reported the stamps, I was given the # to this Post Office, but could never get an answer. I know that others in this neighborhood are having the same problems. I always wonder how much mail I am not expecting goes astray.
I had a package mixed up because the sender forgot to include my apartment address. Never mind the fact that the email they sent to me states otherwise, the customer service on the phone line is straight up TERRIBLE.Not only did she laughed and seemed to regarded my request to look up the package as a hassle, her tone was straight up condescending and just drives you into this anger state. She even laughed and said Oh Lord for my requests & questions in the rudest way you can imagine. Very unprofessional, and just rude.I have never been treated this badly as a customer, and honestly they might as well do away with the telephone line and purely use chat system if they cannot hire professional workers who knows how to handle telephone conversation.
I would not recommend coming to this post office. The people at the front desk are rude , they will not acknowledge you . They will look right past you and help someone else. The guy at the pick up counter to the far right acted like it wasn’t his job to go look for your mail. Then tried to send me away saying my mail was out for delivery two days prior (knowing it was not , I had just checked it the night before) once I told him I check the mail last night then he continued to make another excuse as to why he couldn’t go find my mail by saying my id address doesn’t match the address I gave him. Which I had already explained to him. He finally stopped making excuses and went back to find my mail. Once he retrieved my mail he handed me the envelopes saying “ I found these THREE letters for you”. They where obviously important letters or I would not have brought my 2 month old child out to this dirty as location. I couldn’t even put her carrier down on the floor because of how dirty the floors were. If I didn’t not need those THREE letters I would have waited.I did not read the reviews prior to prepare myself for the nonsense at this location.
No one is answering , some one picked my call hang up immediately telling picked wrong call . Austin USPS got very poor customer service. My package should deliver at 10.30Am but not received yet , I paid for over night shipping which is guaranteed delivery by 10.30Am , got information that my item have received at 900 Blackson Ave, Austin, TX 78752 but no one is answering my call. Still waiting to received the package . Very disappointed, very poor service , I never find this kind of service in my life time
Been trying to contact them for a week now, i just moved to a new adress been living here for 3 months ive place 4 orders out of the four packages ive only resived 1 and thats cause i waited for the useless mail man to be at the mail box. Im not sure if his so impotent at his job or if his enjoying my packages ? I bet his not gonna give them back or admit that his taking them or even give my money back is pethatic. Trying to talk to manager to get this person fired but is impossible to reach this place. Im heading there tomorrow see if their gonna actually do their damm job right.
7th phone call this morning. Each time the phone rings for about 5 minutes then an automated voice comes on line saying nobody can come to the phone. I drove to the location itself, phone in hand ringing away, and although you can hear it ringing throughout the lobby, nobody pays it any attention. When I asked why nobody would answer my call the man behind the desk questioned why I would be bothering them with a phone call if I was already in line. I had to explain to him that I had been calling for over 45 minutes. Complete lack of training and supervision at that location. ANSWER YOUR PHONE. Its in your training manual. Probably under rule # 1.
I came to pick up my package containing my sons medication. The service door was shut, employees were behind the door, and nobody would help me. Despite my constant request to obtain my package and the necessity of my son getting his medication, nobody help me.I will reconsider where I send my packages and who will receives my money for service. Theres always another vendor.
They lost my sons birth certificate. Never looked for it, never helped me. I ended up having to get a new one. Several times theyve delayed my packages because of blatant incompetence. If I have to go to the post office to send out a package I prefer to go to one further away because Im actually afraid theyll lose the package I send out.
I recently brought my wedding invitations up to the post office. BAD IDEA! One of the workers there weighed my invitations and said that one stamp should suffice. So I had them send them out for me. I took an invite to work and weighed it myself just to be sure. It was .21 cents over postage for a single stamp! SO, I rushed up there and tried to intercept the invites. To no avail of course. My invites will be sent to each house and they will be requested to pay the 21 cents before receiving the invite (if they arent home at the time of delivery then they have to go up to the post office to get them). The staff here doesnt care and will not work to help you in ANY WAY! Steer clear of this horrible place. Some people need training, not to mention, BRAINS!
Went to get a key for my mail box. paid and extra $25 so I could have it in 2 days instead the usual 7-10 since Im expected some very important mail. they told me to pick it up after 3pm on the second day. when I came back two days later, they didnt have my keys and didnt know where they were. She took my number and told me theyd call when they find it. they never called... so Im screwed out of my $25 and still dont have any mail box key. tried calling on the phone, but they dont answer it. So gotta go take off work and wait in line again another 30 minutes to find out whats going on.
They put a slip in my mail box that says it is VACANT. I’ve lived at this address for 2 1/2 years and when I asked why they did this, they had no idea why. On top of that they can’t even tell me what happened to my mail. I was expecting a $500+ check .. They said everything was sent back and when I called to see if it was returned to sender, nothing has been sent back.
I wish I had a different post office servicing my area. My postal carrier seems friendly, but I dont think I am getting all my mail. And as one person said, this post office doesnt have a stamp machine (at least it didnt when I visited.) I cant help but wonder if the fact it is on the East side of I-35 doesnt have something to do with that. To be honest, I am not super impressed with any of the Austin post offices I have been in. Im from San Antonio, and much as I love this city, the post offices in San Antonio seem to be run better there. But I think in general the post office as a whole no longer serves the public. I listened to a meeting of the Board of Directors for the post office, who are basically all Bush appointees. They all think that they are in business to make money. Forget the days when the post office was for the public to serve the interests of the public. Those days are gone. Now the post office is mostly on its own while the US government spends our money instead on inflicting collateral damage on innocent people abroad and spying on all of us.Its funny how a comment about postal services can deviate into a discussion about government priorities, but really it is all connected. We need to take the money going into the NSA violating the 4th amendment of our Constitution and start doing real things with our public funds, such as solidifying our postal system and investing in education. Its just sad. And then maybe I would get all my mail. Because I dont consider being spied on a service. A better mail system would be a service.
They dont answer their phones at all, the mail carrier who was delivering the mail even said theyre really bad about answering the phone that they dont even answer her calls, so dont waste your time trying or thinking they will answer later in the day or first thing in the morning. With that being said the man that helped me at the location was super polite.
HORRIBLE!!! Such a bad customer service! I went to 900 Blackson Ave post office to ask about a missing package. I asked the lady in the first counter which line to stand. The lady made a face and did not answer my question. Another person in line asked and she said she does not answer question who is not in line. I stood in a long line to find out that it should have been the other shorter line where the lady was sitting. When I asked why they could not tell me which line to stand? The person started arguing with me.
Horrible customer service. The post office lost my package and im having a hard time getting a refund. Got the run around and contacted the post office in person many times, they can care less what happened and sure as hell wont help you find the solution or what the next step would be. Horrible. I hate this location.
I would not recommend coming to this post office.i sent express mail they told me 24 hour guarantee service and i paid $24.70 but its been 4 days still didnt delivery. and i went post office to ask them The guy at the pick up counter so rude.. i ask him but he tell me they cant do nothing ....that is very important document... they need today early morning.. thats why i paid that lot money..
Pretty typical lazy government employees who dont give a flip about customer service or being the least bit helpful. The one I talked to sounded like she was on drugs. She asked me six times what I needed help with, and I had to keep on reminding her what we were just talking about 10 seconds ago.
Great place to go, if you enjoy being treated like a piece of human feces. They have some forms out there that clearly states that they take Walk ins from 2-3 p.m. I ask and the lady tells me that, if she has time, she’ll take my application and if she doesn’t have time then, She won’t. Whoa I was taken back by this statement. Screw these guys.
Wasnt even 5pm and they were closed! I was trying to ask a simple question and what appears to be the person in charge was rude and kept saying its close , its close without even letting me talk. A little bit of customer service would be appreciate it, at the end.. this is what you get paid for! I work in customer service and trust me this is so far one of the worst experiences with usps.
Now i know what it means to go postal... worse than any govt agency ive worked with.. . - at least get a voicemail and call folks back if you are not going to answer and there is no way to get it done online... I get that they probably get tons of calls for things that can get done online, but those things that cannot get done online (like getting a key for mail box or at least the number of the one that goes to my address) and please dont make someone wait 40 mins on hold to give them a few more numbers to call and say they may be able to help -and then of course those numbers dont answer... dang. i want my hour back please
Ron was ridiculously rude to me on the phone. Dont even call this post office unless you want an old idiot screaming at you. He should find a new job, because I dont need some random, pointless dude darkening my day.I hate this office. My PAYPAL told me I had a package there, they didnt even bother! This place is not Fair, its not Poor, its OFFENSIVE.
One time, I was in the middle of having my question answered by an employee of this post office. I had waited on line for a solid 20 mins to do it. Mid way through answering, she left to take a phone call and never came back. I waited, standing stupidly at the counter for about 10 mins and then left.
Fans of the tv show Parks and Recreation will understand this usps location - this is exactly like the scary 4th floor of city hall on that show. Its grim. No, really, its _grim_. The woman who did my transaction was both competent and nice enough, but wow am I never going back to this location if I can help it.
Worst post office I have ever dealt with. They have lost several packages of mine in a matter of months. And on top of that, they dont have any accountability, pay you for your loss, or do anything about it. They also never answer their phone, hang up on you, and have the worst customer service!! Avoid at all cost!!!!
Mailed something from my door box. When letter arrived at Court, an original Will, that had to be filed, was stolen from the letter. Its clear (from state of letter received by Court mailroom) that someone at PO open the letter. Some idiot thought there was a money possibility with the Will.... Just caused a lot of extra mess w/ the Court. Thanx.
Ive only been in Austin for a month and a half and they delivered a few pieces within the first two weeks and then thats the end of it I have received no more mail I went to the post office they gave me a big green card that said VACANT on it to me to put names on it and put it on the box or the mailbox it took him three days to even pick it up and thats been the end of that no more mail since then so now its been three weeks with no mail not one piece but I know for a fact Ive had 10 letters sent to me 5 of which had checks in them and theyre all gone not returned, not delivered just gone, are they stealing it ?
The supervisor Ron is incredibly un pleasant. He spoke to me like I was a child. His languange was vulgar and he showed no respect for me, whatsoever. Due to this man, I will NEVER use the USPS again. (AS IF THEY ARENT DOING BAD ENOUGH ALREADY,THIS IS HOW THIER EMPLOYEES ACT) If you see this man, please start screaming and yelling at him. i assure you, he would do the same to you, if given the chance.
My cashier RUSTY was not familiar with cashing checks so he asked his co-worker for assistance, she was helpful but hesitated. Made a frustrating face. So he felt uncomfortable asking anymore. DELORES noticed he was about to make a mistake and spoke up but followed it with a RUDE gesture and ROLLING HER EYES. The 2 lady cashiers seem very irritated with Rusty. Rusty did a great job. all 3 are polite to customers.
What can I say?Avoid Ron.The guy I dealt with today, name of Bruce, was one of the most delightful people that I have come across in months.I was so very sad when our transaction was complete.I could have talked to this Actual Austinite for hours, but that would have been rude to those in line behind me....And Actual Austinites are not rude.
If I could give cero stars I would. A guy name Andrew was the worst disrespectful employee ever!!! Refused to give me an answer to my question several times by just ignoring me and keep playing with his phone. And the worst is I think hes the manager🙄 Poor customer service!!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I ORDERED AN ITEM FROM EBAY, TRACKING # STATES IT WAS DELIVERED BUT I NEVER RECEIVED THE ITEM!! AFTER COUNTLESS CALLS WITH NO ANSWER, I WENT TO THE POST OFFICE IN PERSON TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR...I WAS TOLD TO LEAVE MY CONTACT INFO AND THAT HE/SHE WOULD CONTACT ME...THAT WAS OVER A WEEK AGO, AND STILL NO CALL OR ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME...BEEN CALLING EVER SINCE AND NO ONE EVER ANSWERS!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE SERVICE PERIOD!! I WISH I COULD GIVE LESS THAN 1 STAR!!

2022-07-26USPS is the absolute worst. It’s cliche to complain about them, but I will any ways. Been here 5 times about a missing package and it’s like the first time every time. They just don’t care. Lost a package of baby formula and with the shortage you think they might but they don’t. The package went out for delivery and was never delivered or returned or scanned in because according to the workers here they didn’t scan items for a few days because they got busy. Also my package weighs about 20 pounds and I was told they don’t like to lift heavy things so it was probably just dumped on the ground. I could really use the formula or the money to replace it, but they are still looking for it in the back. I’ve never seen such unhappy people. Quit your job if you hate it that bad.

2022-05-27If I could give this post office a negative 100, I would. Theyve returned my important package to the sender twice. When asked about this via online, they LIED by claiming I moved and didnt leave a forwarding address. I have been at my current address 2 1/2 years! They dont seem to ever answer the phone at this location, and the woman I spoke with at the call center (Claudette) was nice but utterly clueless. I wasted over 30 minutes on the phone with her trying to correct this issue, and no progress was made. For the first time ever, Im starting to think the USPS has become obsolete and should permanently shut down. Dont want to deliver a package? Just return it to sender!

2022-07-23Yesterday 7/22/2021 it was a line of maybe 30 people to pick up mail. A man in the front of the line informed the people in the back of the line, that they are not giving out no mail for mail pick up@ 3:20 I was only in line for 20 minutes to hear this disappointing news. If the post office is going to be so frustrated they not giving nobody else mail when this is part of the job they shouldn’t have a job.

2022-06-24Hey look, the postal service is under constant pressure and underfunded. Is it a bit slow? Yes. Are people generally happy to be going to any post office? No. Its an essential service folks, and we should be happy to have it, and keep it. This one is very typical in my experience, expect to wait a bit, and to deal with folks who are tired of entitled people coming in with no empathy.

2022-03-22Ms. Molly is the best and the kindest USPS employee that I have ever met. She is so helpful. Me and my family appreciate her consideration, guidance, help and time.Thank you so much.

2022-05-16Amalia Brown delivers absolutely terrible customer service. ‘Oh it’s not our fault we failed to deliver your urgent time-sensitive mail, it’s your fault for not keeping your receipt after two years.’Just a disgusting post office environment.

2022-04-14I have been calling the Blackson post office for 2-days now and corporate too and no answer. I have been missing packages and pieces of mail. and also getting neighbors mail as well. The other day I even had a package delivered to my mailbox and it was jammed in there, I struggled LITERALLY to get it out. Package could have been left in package boxes and left key in mailbox like the OLD days. This is CONSTANT, I emailed them the last time too to claim a missing package but never got it resolved and I finally let it go. But the package missing now was a very expensive item and again NOTHING.. I dont know how to reach anyone, NO ONE..CORPORATE and LOCAL OFFICE.

2022-07-29Very crummy Post Office, Didnt have the availability to send out mail, only to pick up, and the staff was extremely rude. Id avoid this place like the plauge. Hopefully their are better Post Offices in Austin. Because this one is trash top to bottom.

2019-09-24This post office had seen hell about my change of address ! The poor manager heard plenty at different times each time the response was very cordial and helping to the point he got it all taken care of! Thank you to this post office for all the time and efforts spent in customer service and the years of service in general. No matter what the issue is i guarantee they can figure it out! Hope everyone can experience the wonderment of the government actually working as I have!

2022-02-12No help. And when you ask a question they bite your head off. Been arguing with them for a year and a half about fixing the lock on our mailboxes (they are in charge of locks, the complex is in charge of the actual boxes) so we havent been receiving mail for a year now. This has been the worst experience ever. Im disgusted with their he said she said antics with our apartment complex manager. They just keep playing. Its ridiculous!
