United States Postal Service in other cities:
First review I ever write on google. Extremely racist. Absolutely “I hate you and I hate myself and I hate USPS” attitude towards me. Wouldn’t bother to say one more word to you if not extremely necessary. I just hope USPS go bankrupt one day so the only shipping choices left are fedex ups and dhl… which are much better in delivery and much more customer friendly. this is the worst place I’ve ever been to this year and it truly “made my day.”
The most ridiculous, inefficient joke of a post office I have ever experienced. I’m currently 30 deep in line waiting on a package pickup that was supposed to be delivered! Tracking states retained a post office per customer request. I most certainly did not request to come to this joke of a post office.
The average time it takes to help ONE customer pick up mail is approximately 10 minutes. Be prepared to wait AN HOUR to pick up mail if you have 5-6 people ahead of you. (And typically there are 12+.)While the people there seem friendly, the process is just broken/not scale-able for the volume they get. My privately-run package delivery service is 100 times better than this.
By far the worst post office Ive ever visited. Avoid at all costs. Apparently, facemasks are optional as well.Update: 1-30-2021. Back again, they still have not replaced the community mailbox in my neighborhood. The floor manager for this location just showed up at 8:31 am. Its almost 8:40 and still no one is helping anyone get their mail. I have lived a lot of places and this is by far the worst post office Ive been too.Update: 2-6-2021. Back once again, still no mailbox in our neighborhood. A front desk worker opened the mail service pickup door and told the man in the front of the line to push the button by the door for service then left. The man in the front of the line pushed the button a couple times and waited. Around 8:45 am he rung it again. Two mail sorters came out cussing and screaming at him to stop ringing the bell. Then they started screaming at a lady in line who asked them to help us out. I have never seen anything like it. The man was trying to explain that the postal employee told him to ring it. Everyone was telling and the two post office workers were verbally abusive towards him and the other woman in line. At 8:50 am someone finally started getting mail. I really wish I didnt have to deal with this location. Rude, cruel, and abusive towards people just trying to get their mail.Update: 2-13-2021 They installed a new community mailbox in our neighborhood on Tuesday to replace the old one that has been broken. Our mail carrier left a note taped to the front stating that keys can be picked up at this post office location. Today is Saturday, I went in to pick up the keys and mail that they were holding for us. I was told the keys arent ready yet and theyre not sure when theyll have the keys ready despite them leaving a note saying the keys are ready...I about lost it. They had no idea when they would have them ready... Basically I have to continue this hellish routine every Saturday.... I dont know how much longer I can take this.
This post office delivers mail to the wrong boxes (about once every ten packages, for me). They do not pick up the phone, *ever*. If you go in person, be prepared to wait an hour or two. I think theyre just swamped. If I could give only a half a star, I would give only a half a star.
The worst experience everytime I come here, the staff is extremely rude treat people very disrespectful, we wait in line in order only to be told that they don’t go in order to be served. I was the first in line and everyone behind me got their mail and I’m still waiting. When I asked they said we don’t go in order.
Staff are not helpful, you come 30 mins or later before closing time you will NOT get your mail. And from my understanding that’s against the law for them to withhold your mail. The waiting times are ridiculous and they are click to slam a window in your face or close the gate on folks. This has really gotten out of hand. My heart goes out to those elderly people that this happened to today. I’m in disbelief right now.
If you need a passport, be sure to schedule multiple appointments on different days. They will call you morning of the appointment and cancel the appointment if the acceptance agent doesnt show up with no option but getting a new appointment, which next available is usually a month out. So be prepared and schedule multiple appointments so you dont end up in the same predicament.
Ive never left a review for a Post office before, but Johli (one of the people working there) went so far above and beyond to help me that I had to say thank you somehow! I was having major problems with a package delivery from out of the country, but Johli jumped through a bunch of hoops to personally track down my package and get it to me before the system could automatically send it back to Europe. Thank you Johli, its people like you who keep the postal service going!
The staff was very VERY rude. I know they see and go through a lot of people and Im guessing half are rude; But the people behind the counter sue profanity treat disabled Vets like trash, and are uncouth. I dislike the VA greatly, but at least they treat you with some respect and not cuss at people. The IG really needs to replace these people and teach them some etiquette!!
Got here at 8:30 when they opened and I am still waiting to pick up my package. It is now 10:30 am. I have been waiting for 2 hours and still haven’t gotten a package yet. They need to fix their system asap. People literally come up here with lawn chairs bc the wait is so long.
Horrible experience here, I had a package arrive from overseas that was falsely labeled as forwarded to appropriate address when someone at this location initiated a returned to sender. I was there at this location but I physically collect my package but was told it was forwarded to its correct location. Next day it was back in Chicago returning to sender. Literally lied to my face! Saying it was being forwarded and was likely still there at the location!Very unprofessional service and the lack of integrity as beyond words. Another Post Office location I went to the seek information on my package was shocked to see they had returned it without making an effort to check it or contact the recipient. Avoid this location at every means possible.
Waited for an hour and a half to pick up mail/packages since our neighborhood mailboxes were vandalized. There was only 7 people ahead of me, the line did not move! Employees get mad that we need their help. Well if they stood in a line that didn’t move in an hour, they’d be upset too. No urgency at all to help the line get going. I left, because like them, I have a job to get to. The difference is I will provide a service with care. (We are short staffed too)Update: There is a day when there is a super sweet, nice, and attentive lady that works in the pick up section. She gets 10 stars if I can review just her.
This post office is always so busy with lines often out the door. I have no idea why they closed the Parmer location - it was so much better. The employees here really seem like they dont care at all. I dread going here and sometimes drive a lot farther to avoid this location.
The Bluebonnet post office location on Braker Lane that serves my home in Austin has become unpredictable lately. We depend on our mail to receive not only letters and packages from our friends, family, and vendors but to receive checks from our clients from which we depend on in order to make a living as well. Lately weve had parcels that were reported delivered to us but never in our box as well as the same issue with outgoing packages. So I am asking you reading this review to please contact your local and federal Representatives, Speaker of the house, Majority Leader, whomever to please do everything within the power and realm of their office to prioritize the improvement of the mail service
Have called the Bluebonnet post office repeatedly to get information on why a forwarding order we cancelled months ago is returning our mail to senders instead of delivering it. The phone system hangs up after one minute! Over and over again! There is NO way to call these people. Unbelievable.
What kind of post office purposely does NOT provide packing tape when you’ve already bought a box and mailing stamps??? To be fair, now I know they’re not required to provide anything, but all 3 employees just stood there watching me using office tape to tape a package. The lady had the huge packing tape right next to the office tape and says “we’re not required to provide this service, but you can use this tape” … Are employees required to pay for their own tape?I’ve never had to bring “my own tape” to mail a package before and I’ve done this many, many times. Usually, the guys just wrap my package and it takes like 3 seconds.
Had to write an update since I couldnt edit my last review. Now, the post office wont hold our mail. It wont deliver it. And what little they actually do deliver gets stepped on and theres dirt marks on both sides of all delivered pieces. Our companys rent is past due because the post office doesnt know how to deliver, hold, or forward, and several client checks sent to us over a week ago are missing. And instead of trying to offer me help or look for our companys mail, they give excuses that they tried to deliver to us one time and left 2 voicemails promising to forward and that it takes a while to forward mail. How long does it actually take because 6 months is a really long time to fight with the post office. Id report them to the BBB, but they dont deal with government agencies. So our company is literally suffering late fees and missing client checks because this location has no clue how to manage mail.2/22/22 - Oh. By the way. They dont seem to have any way to report open and vulnerable mail. Found an open business mailbox and no way to reach anyone. Their office is closed, and the main number took me 4 minutes to get through an automated menu system, and said I could wait for over an hour to reach a human being. Great. So guess free mail for anyone who wants it. They dont care.
You really need to plan before a trip here. The lines are unbelievably long - think an airport counter during mass flight cancellations or a Soviet bread line. You cannot just pop in on a lunch break. Budget at least 2 hours of waiting in line to do your 5 minutes of business. It apparently takes 4 days for this post office to receive keys for new mailboxes USPS installs so I will have to return and deal with this place again... Im budgeting 3 hours and bringing a book.
Worst post office I’ve ever had to use. They’re rude and unhelpful and extremely slow. Plus the mail carriers in my area are incompetent and mail just disappears all the time. Today the lady at the pickup kiosk let the line build up near closing time and waited until 5:00 to tell us they wouldn’t serve those of us who had been in line since before closing time. I’m going to just get myself a UPS or FedEx PO Box so I can actually receive my mail.
Last year I read a story about the government considering dissolving the USPS and I thought no they should do that. Then I walked into this location. There is consistently a line of 50 people at the passport window. There will be 5 people working at the boxing station and no one in line and they’ll just stand there instead of helping with the line. The USPS should be dissolved.
A time when a no star option should be allowed. Useless and antiquated delivery service that should be dismantled and privatized. Apparently I’m only permitted to receive the five or six pieces of trash commercial mail each week, but no actual deliveries of packages to the door. Amazon should cancel the contract with USPS because USPS refuses to deliver packages. I’ve informed them that I don’t keep a parcel locker and require door deliveries. In response, they’ve ignored that fact and leave packages unsecured or stuffed into lockers that I cannot access. I file missing and not delivered complaints and they respond deliveries were “left in residence mailbox”, which I do not have.
Absolute joke here. My mailbox was broken into and my apt office sat on hold with them for an hour and got nowhere and I am currently on hold for 63 minutes as of right now and absolutely nothing. How can a business let a phone ring for over an hour and not touch it once? Was my mail stolen? How will I get my mail with my box broken? Answers I apparently cant have because theyre too busy to answer the phone. Worst kind of business practice there is not answering the phone.
The lines are super long made worse by only 1 person helping customers while it’s a mystery what the others are doing. Twice in one month I had packages misdelivered. One was a heavy package that would not fit in parcel box so the driver said he could not deliver it because of obstruction to the door of my house. My security cameras never showed a postal truck pulling up in front of my house. There was no obstruction to my door. The driver just didn’t want to deliver it. I stress each time USPS handles my packages. Even when shipped by FedEx it gets handed off to USPS once it reaches town. It might or might not make it to my box. There is no accountability and they don’t seem to care. It is frustrating. I never had service this bad at previous addresses that used other stations only Bluebonnet station.
USPS Location: 1/2 starEmployee - Catherine: 5 starsThe worst usps location in Austin with the exception of an employee named Catherine. I have to go to this location weekly as my neighborhood cluster mailbox was damaged due to theft (3 months ago. Still hasn’t been fixed). Every. Single. Time. I go to this location there’s a huge wait time or some other problem that creates frustrated employees and patrons. I’ve seen ppl get so frustrated it resulted in a physical altercation. This go around, 6 ppl and I waited an hour (1 freaking hour) to pickup our mail and had a few of the ppl in line not gone and talked to someone we’d probably would still be there. Bottom of the barrel in terms of customer service. Do better USPS.
Absolutely no professionalism. Was blatantly lied to about my packages. I knew they were here, and after waiting in a line for an hour, the employee told me there was nothing here. Didnt ask for ID, took my pink slips and didnt give me anything. I contacted support and was informed that indeed, yes, my packages had been there.
5/8/21I honestly hate coming here. Lines are always so long, workers are so slow when their is a line with 10+ people. There is never anyone else to help. If you got somewhere to be come here at least an hour or two before since youll be here at least 30mins. And when they go to check its always some excuse on why they cant find it. I can never get a straight answer. Dont bother trying to call. Its all automated and even when ask to speak to a representative it just gives you more options to press and not what you need.I always have the same issue. I order something, its not delivered cause of insufficient address when its correct and no notification saying it wasnt delivered. You have to constantly check tracking if that even works right. Had a package that was supposed to be delivered on 4/12. Never got it. Was given nothing to say it wasnt delivered. Until I checked a few days ago.On a side note I have never been given rude treatment, just general apathy on not caring about your situation. Like they dont want to bother helping you. Except today, from my point of view he looked like to be in a bad mood. Its always just 1 person working unless its like a drop off or something.
This is by far the worst post office I have ever went to. There is always a line no matter what day you go or whatever service you need to get done. This post office lost my mail and I’m still trying retrieve it. Every time I go to try and get my mail there is always another irate customers mail they lost. There is always a line of anger customers no matter what time you get there. Management isn’t helpful at all, it seem like no one knows what they are doing at this site.
Would give zero stars if possible. Package delivery is highly inconsistent. They mark a package as delivered hours before actually showing up to my apt complex and three times in the past two weeks have mis-delivered two of mine that they marked as delivered. One package, one of my neighbors was kind enough to bring to me (it was put in her mailbox), one that was delivered on one day but handed to me out of the mail bins the next day, and one that was allegedly delivered to my mailbox on Thursday has yet to appear. This location NEVER answers the phone, so why bother publishing a number. Cannot even locate a current postmaster - found an email address online for one who was the postmaster five years ago, and it took him a week to tell me he no longer works at that location. HORRIBLE service, and stop blaming the pandemic - its been a year.
Giving 5 stars to Hak Joon Kim! He is always so attentive and helpful. Always around and answers all the questions and helps everybody. I come here to mail Bday packages from time to time and before he was here I could never get any help from anybody. You’d have to stand in line to just ask a question. And now that he is here, the place is booming! I saw him help about 15 people while I was standing in line. He deserves a medal!Otherwise I find the service kind of worthless. You cant call the post office and talk to a person. You just get the 800 number and if the issue you are calling about it not on the automated menu, you are SOL!
Terrible. Been there 4 times. Only one time they gave me what I needed. First class letter with receipt of being mailed. One lady told me she does not want to do it because they are understaffed. One guy told me it just takes longer to do each letter at once so selling stamps is easier. I get it but I don’t want to wait in line for over 30 min to buy stamps I already have. Also where I work which this post office delivers to I get mail about once every two weeks. Once every week if we are lucky. Post offices are generally awful. This one might be the worst. Do not depend on these people for your mail!!!!!!!!
While visiting in Austin, I mailed two first class greeting cards to two different cities. It is now day 13 without either card arriving at their destination. Calling the Bluebonnet postal facility is a totally futile endeavor. I know they are trying to destroy the postal system, but this is amazingly slow.
I wish google would allow a zero rating unfortunately I have to give 1 star and it pains me to give even that. Today I visited BlueBonnet Post Office and witness how rude one particular employee are to customers. LOUIS, big and tall oversized mantee built as if he couldnt fit into a package.. He is rude and just plain misinformed. I watched him rudely wave off a soft spoken meek woman when she asked to have her package stopped. Louis is telling everyone that packages cannot be stopped once the package is shipped and this is untrue. Louis Lies and makes up rules that are not the rules or policys of the usps. We were told by Louis only paper can be mailed inside the blue priority envelopes, he lied. We checked usps website while in the line and it states merchandise can be shipped in the packages. Louis slammed a printed paper from behind the desk that stated a small bulge is ok when using the flat rate and not a kangaroo stuffing, well . I was shipping a small ring Do not trust Louis he tampers with packages and he is rude to all customers. We asked to speak to a manager he claimed his manager was on vacation, we asked for a manager and was told JOE RODRIGUEZ was in a meeting and Jonathan Taylor would never speak to us because we were not important enough. Workers like this should be fired, I do not feel my packages are safe here. This Louis guy, just kept interfering in our conversation with the other employee. Just to be rude and give us a hard time.
This place is bad even by my standards for a government organization, and thats really saying something because I already have zero expectation to receive any kind of help or service from a place with no incentive to provide such things. I have been trying to get access to my mail for over 6 months now, after they installed a new post box, and every time I go there to see if they have it figured out yet, they give me nothing but excuses. It is, frankly, unacceptable for an organization that claims to offer delivery service to make me go to them every time I want my mail. Of course, if I could use a different service I would not hesitate, but as Im sure you know, this is not a business, it will never go away, and they will never allow anyone else to compete with them. Its a shame that things in the USSA have become so corrupt that even a defunct place like this wont go away.
This is a good post office only if you are dropping off prepaid packages or mail. Their drop off box is easy to access and you can drop them off at off-hours. If you need to get to the counter though, go to a different post office. The line is ALWAYS a mile long usually all the way down the hallway. Other post offices arent this busy.
Have to pick up mail here because mailbox was vandalized. Been waiting for repair or replacement for more then a month. Lines are long average waiting time 1 hour or more. Still.no one knows when were going to get new mailboxes. Only gave a 2 because of over worked staff and not enough staff
No matter what time I have to come to this post office I have to wait 30-90 mins for service. Unorganized, inefficient, and nobody is in any hurry. I find it ridiculous I have to plan my day around going to this post office for a simple package/letter pickup. That being said I have never been treated rudely at this location as some others have reported.
I was terrified to come here and ask about an issue with my mailbox key at a new place because the reviews are so bad and the score is so low but honestly its pretty average for a post office. There was a line but it moved fast. Id say it was maybe a 5-10 min wait around lunch time. The people werent really mean or anything. They were pretty friendly. Turns out my condo people are responsible for the mailbox so the post office person couldnt solve my problem but they did give me info about it and helped me put my mail on hold until the issue is resolved. It wasnt anything special and the place youre supposed to get in line is confusing but its not really like the horror stories on here.
Not sure what’s so bad about the place aside from waiting a bit, but I’ve never waited more than 5 mins and it was only because I was purchasing stamps (it was around 10:30am and there was no line). For people that want to mail packages/letters, there is a little kiosk where you can input information and pay for your postage without needing to speak to a person! I’ve barely seen anyone use it despite it being open and very easy to use as long as you follow the steps on the screen. Never had any issues with my packages or letters either!
I cant get the post office to deliver mail to our business, nor can we get the post office to forward the mail. Instead, they just hold the mail for months at a time without any notice, and selectively forwards one or two pieces, leaving our invoices and client checks to be delayed. Im in the office daily with no delivery attempt. 1 forward request. 1 change of address request. And a promise from an employee that shell leave a note to have our mail forwarded. Yet they not only just hold our mail, but lump in mail from other businesses. This has been an unresolved issue for half the year to date!
Really didnt think this place could be as bad as the other reviews indicated, but they managed to prove me wrong.I went in to get a key to a cluster mailbox after moving to the neighborhood, and was told to come back in a week and itd be ready. Came back about 10 days later, waited 40 minutes in line, was told that it wasnt ready and the technician (or whatever) that made the keys was out. When I asked when I should come back, the guy told me he didnt know.Ive tried calling several times a day for weeks now trying to check if its done, and they have literally not once answered the phone. I dropped by once this week in person and there was a line at least 20 people long, which judging by past experiences would have taken at least 30-45 minutes - all for them to most likely tell me its still not ready and that theyre not sure when it will be.It really shouldnt be this hard to get a key to my mailbox. The only remotely positive thing I can say is that on the rare occasions when I have been able to speak to anyone there in person, theyve been reasonably polite.
Twice theyve been unable to delivery packages to my apartments parcel lockers because of size, and twice they chose to tell Amazon they tried to attempt to deliver but left a note cause they couldnt. No note is actually given, meaning I had to call and talk to a robot for 15 minutes to find out which USPS facility has my package, and they could have simply delivered to my door a block away from the parcel lockers. Instead Im here on my lunch break, been in line for 20 minutes without movement so Ill need to leave to get back to work. Guess the first half of my Saturday is gone because they were too lazy to deliver to my door like theyre supposed to.
I have had over 200.00 in items never make it to my mailboxYet the postmaster puts it down as in box This a joke I have filed a complaint and it went know where I am now shipping out of another office. If you cant do your freaking job with out stealing things. get a different job!
The bar for USPS is already so very low, yet this location truly sets itself apart from the rest. The staff are exceptionally brash and unable to grasp the basics of mask wearing (hot-tip: it goes on your FACE). They are brazenly unhelpful and seem resentful of their job in its entirety. The place is unusually dirty even by USPS standards and the patrons seem to match. Avoid and go to any other USPS within a 30 mile radius. Should this one close, it would be a service to the community.
The workers here are no nonsense. They arent exactly friendly, but they arent unfriendly. I come here to mail stuff a few times a year and felt I was under the disapproving gaze of a mother-in-law the whole time.Nevertheless, I got my things done. The lady even let me use the tape gun (read another review where someone who was denied the privilege). I guess Im lucky.Note, I heard several people walk in today to do some passport business. They were all denied because they dont have an appointment and the walk ins seem discouraged. FYI if you wanted to do something with passports here, call ahead, or visit another USPS center.Overall, about what you would expect from a government office. Meeting the bar.
Hi DONT use the drop off!!!! I used it on may 30th 2021 before memorial day and the check must have been stolen and forged 2k cashed on June 11th yesterday. Calling chase bank to submit a forged check written by Matthew Vvoitesek for “june rent” the check was originally for lowes to pay off a fridge. Drop off inside the building not the drop off bins. I have my check book , thats the only place...the mail was stolen.
We went for passport service for my newborn (after booking appointment online). It was hassle free. They were very helpful. First I made a mistake in taking a money order of 85$ in same post office few minutes earlier. They noticed that and gave me a new money order of 80$ and refunded 5$. Next the lady who took application for passport was very patient in taking pictures of my new born and helped us with our basic questions. Thanks. Great customer service. 🙂
I mailed package to an address on Bittern Hollow the 1st of June. A week or so later mailed another package to same address and they received it within a few days. One month later I received the first package back...saying unable to forward. The address on the envelope was correct etc. WHERE WAS THE PACKAGE FOR A MONTH!!!! So I go to my post office and mail the package again. Same thing ....been gone a month and I received it back Unable to Forward. WHERE DOES THIS MAIL GO FOR A MONTH!!!!! This is NOT RIGHT.....And they want to do MAIL IN VOTING!!!!?!?! Guess they will blame it on COVID-19!
My package was returned to the sender for an unknown reason. I went to this location to find out why. She told me she has no idea why, which post person handled it and that they were not supposed to do that. Why are they not keeping record of who the post person is? If the post person is doing something that they are not supposed to or illegal who can be held accountable? It’s obvious USPS doesn’t keep record because they don’t want to be held liable. I’m glad more shipping services are coming up.
Okay, I know there are bad reviews on here, but I have had a couple really great experiences. I have one of those community locking mailboxes. Shortly after I first moved to my house, I tried to open my mailbox and the key fit but wouldnt turn. It was because the carrier had shoved too much mail in and blocked the key mechanism from turning. I called the post office and they got a message to the carrier who unjammed the mailbox so I could access it. Yesterday I had a package delivery and the carrier put it into the oversize mailbox portion and left the key in my mailbox. I tried to open the oversize box and the key wouldnt turn. I called the post office and spoke with a gentleman about the inability to open the mailbox. I told him what was in the package and he was thought the package might be jammed up against the key mechanism. The postal worker took my phone number so he could call me back after trying to reach the carrier. Within 10 minutes he called me back and advised me the carrier would drop the package off on my doorstep. Excellent customer service from the postal workers who dont cover the front desk. Now if we could just get the front line employees to be that effective!
This post office is highly unprofessional. I made my passport appointment a month ago just to be called this morning saying it has been cancelled and I would need to drive to downtown if I needed to do it today, which would take hours since it’s only by walk ins. Tried calling back to reschedule just to hear the store has been closed today.
This post office has given my mail route a carrier who has to be the most incompetent carrier alive.Every week, at least once, I get other people’s mail. I am constantly having issues because of misdelivered mail. Every week or so a neighbor will present me with my mail that was mistakenly delivered to them.I have lost multiple items to this incompetent carrier, including several checks. I have complained nonstop & nothing changes. A few years back, around Xmas, the carrier was passed out on his truck, during daylight hours, right by the cluster mailboxes. This was also reported to the PO.It is a crime how this post office will not provide my route with a competent carrier.
The customer service here is atrocious. First, I was put on hold for 40 minutes before the manager realized I had been put on hold to long. Then when my package was lost they claimed that by being able to track where the package was scanned to a GPS location that they were finished with the issue. The mail carrier told conflicting stories to the post office manager and my apartment manager about what MAY have happened to the package. I was forgotten, ignored, treated with disrespect, and left feeling very lost. I never received my package and had to eventually call Customer Service and file a formal complaint. The woman I spoke to with customer service was nice and seemed helpful. I cant believe I have no choice but to go through the post office for my mail. Their lack of customer service skills is beyond me.
Most of the employees seem fairly friendly, although I sent a package today and they must have entered some arbitrary # for the weight of the package because it was more than double the amount it actually weighed!! I thought the price seemed pretty high but didnt check the weight until I had paid and received the receipt. So frustrating! Double check on the weights of the packages before they charge you! I will be contacting the department of weights and measures.
This post office is garbage. They have lost my packages. They dont answer their phones. Dont worry about scheduling a re-delivery because they wont deliver it unless you put in a complaint. Still havent received my package even after 2 redelivery requests and confirmation. Even received a verbal confirmation from the post office that they will deliver the next day. USPS is a joke of a organization.
This is the worse post office I have ever been to! They never answer the phone. I have been at my address for years and I had a very important birthday gift delivered to USPS this office from FedEx, well the carrier brought it back undeliverable which is unbelievable! I was on hold for 2 hours so went up there to only be waited on by the manager of the post office which was a HUGE waste of time and he was a joke! Didnt check to see if my package was in the back just said oh sorry I dont know why she said it was undeliverable this is a good address! YA think? Geesh! They do not care at all whos mail boxes they put packages in or mail, where I work at an Apt complex residents come in daily with other people packages/mail it is the worse I have ever seen! Nothing is done about it either!
I am raving 😡 mad!!! It is ridiculous that you are a “ walk in client “ but can’t be seen because they are too busy . One person cannot see all of the people that wants their passport done . Why does the post office call in , “walk in “ vs getting online to make an appointment? What is the use of calling it “ walk in “ and you can’t even be seen? You have too many Clerks at the counter and only one passport personnel . It makes more sense to spread the load and have 1 less Clerk and train this over the counter clerk to do passport processing . It is not a free service , but I was waiting to pay $35.00 on top of the $140.00 ( this is for the passport book only). So my Wednesday , Thursday, and Friday were all useless because I went from Austin post office to Round Rock post office , and then Georgetown post office ALL without any luck and without being seen as a “ walk in client.” They need to develop a better system .
The mail carrier assigned to my address is completely incompetent. Last year he mis-delivered a package with a $300 + item. The tracking information showed the package as delivered, however it was clearly delivered to the wrong address and the person decided to keep the item. When I reported this incident to the post office their answer was simply it says delivered. Over the holidays, this exact scenario happened with another costly item. Same response from the post office. Furthermore, on a nearly weekly basis, the mail carrier will switch my Amazon packages with my neighbors. The post office does not care and refuses to take any action. Terrible office, run into the ground by terrible management.
Honestly, the worst. I have had 4 packages never arrive. They do nothing about it except give you a run around calling various numbers and leaving messages. They are delivering to the wrong mailbox and dont seem to care. Costly for me as I receive business shipments from vendors to my home. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.
Just finished returning my gap items. Had my package labelled and the barcode ready to scan. There is an Asian woman at the counter. She yells at me for not keeping the package in my hands but in a bag. Then she insults me for the barcode not being readable (like seriously!!!) And then she yanks the package away !! Honestly can someone take action ? This is intolerable!! Never have I been treated so lowly by anyone!!! Disgusting. I just hurried out and didnt gather details about her...
Pretty much the worst post office Ive ever been to. The worker I spoke with was incredibly unhelpful and rude, to put it lightly. Why work in customer service if you have no intention to be helpful? I wanted to know the most economic way to send some things overseas. Before I could even get my words out, she rolled her eyes and quipped that she had no idea how much it weighed or where it was going...First of all, your job includes weighing packages, so thats fixable. And, wouldnt you know, I could have easily given her the postal code. So incredibly unnecessary.
Lost one of 2 packages I had delivered to a business address and had to file a claim. We have a note in our company mailbox that says to deliver packages to the next building at the dock around back and this carrier refuses to do so. Our mail room isnt staffed by the property management company so the carrier just leaves packages sitting on a table for anyone to take when according to the Assistant Property Manager, theyre supposed to leave a note in our mailbox if the packages dont fit in the box. Whats ironic is just yesterday the same carrier dropped off 2 packages in front of our office suite and the address was positively incorrect. I called this station yesterday knowing that they deliver to this area and notified them that these priority mail packages were delivered to the wrong address and they never came to pick them up. Im sure theyre late so I called them again today...lets see if they come get them.
A couple of packages we’re put in wrong mailbox and have never been recovered for months now!!!!! Called this location hundreds of times and never been able to talk to anyone about it. Went into the location several times and told they only person who could help is never available. Also, the lady at the counter yelled at me telling me she couldn’t help me and saw her being loud and rude to several other customers. Called USPS and they have told me this location has 1 package and delivered the other package to wrong location. Please don’t use this location.
Horrible customer service! Theyve lost multiple mail to & from my address. They claimed they delivered a certified letter with signature but I knew for a fact they didnt because I accidently sent it to myself! I never received the certified letter & had to speak to the Post Office general in order for anyone to follow up. They ended up finding my certified letter at the Post Office on top of a box!Cant count on these people doing their job or caring about anything!
Horrible service!!!!!! The carriers are to lazy to bring your packages so they mark them undeliverable and send them back. Mind you these apartments have been here over 30 years and we have received packages for years! We also confirmed the address with the company the package came from whom we’ve ordered from many times. I went and spoke with the manager on duty and he was busy trying to crack jokes probably because he knew how bad of a job they do. My package was there but he didn’t go look. He just said hmmmm I don’t know why she sent your package back this is a good address. This was after me calling and being put on hold for almost an hour.
Ive enjoyed this post office. The lines always seem to move pretty fast and the parking is nice. If you pre-print you labels online there is really not much waiting at all. If you plan ahead and know exactly what you need you wont have problems. If youre looking for passport photos make sure you are there when they are doing them or have an appointment. You cant just walk in and get them done anytime.
0 stars for real. Unbelievably long lines, no face masks required inside by staff or citizens, which is ridiculously dangerous when youre stuck inside a small space for 2 hours while waiting in line, constantly lost packages or not picking up scheduled pick ups. Go literally to any other post office in Austin, Round Rock, or Pfluggerville. Go out to Georgetown cos even then youll save more time with the drive there and back than you could standing in line here, and youll actually get what you came to the post office for after all that time, too.
Went pick up my package that I could not pick up the day before because the mailman left before I put on my clothes and ran out to my door. I waited there for almost 20 minutes and the person there told me he could not find my package. I was late for my plan after the pick-up, and I had to apologize to the organizer for not being able to be there on time because I was waiting in the post office for 20 minutes. After failing to do what I was supposed to do, I went back to the same post office and wait another 20 minutes to finally get my package. That is the package I came to pick up on the first day its available at the post office, which is the next day after the delivery, and it still took the peronnel such a long time to find it? Its really low effectiveness. Their mailman can not wait 3 minutes for me to go out but I have to wait 30 minutes for them to find my package. I was really angry.
Worst post office ever. Ive never been compelled to write a review of a post office - I usually accept that they are all dismal slow places. But jeez, the people here are more dismal and slower than any other post office Ive experienced. They wont replace neighborhood mailboxes when they are broken into so we have to wait in line for our mail. Its been five weeks. No end in sight. Frustrating.
Horrible. No responsibility for mistakes. The post office accidentally re-keyed our commercial mailbox, at our place of business, for a new tenant. There was some confusion over unit numbers. I have visited and called many times, but I am never able to speak with whoever is in charge of work orders for the mailbox or get a call back. The people I spoke with on the phone have been polite, but despite promises, their mistake is never corrected. I have been waiting almost 3 months and still have no mailbox.
You know Im not one to make accusations, but after reading these other comments I know something is definitely not right. I moved here two years ago, and I noticed every since I moved here I have not been getting my mail. My grandmother sent me a card with a check in it, and I never received it. We verified my address and everything was correct, so she decided to send me another card, the second card she sent I received the first card I still never got. I started to think maybe she never mailed it and just misplaced it, until I read these other comments with similar problems. I ordered something from Amazon it was suppose to come in 2 days I never got it, I called Amazon and they showed that it was delivered. Amazon gave me all of my money back and I just kept asking our mail lady about the package, literally 2 weeks later she sees me pulling up and walks over and gives me the package. No explanation it just magically appeared. I dont use the mail box in my community because most of the mailboxes have been broken into, my mom lives in a different community across the street from me, so Ive been using her address because its a little more secure. Ive been considering lately about just getting a P.O. Box for everything because Im 100% convinced I am not receiving my mail.
Wish I could say something positive. Speed or any sense of urgency was non existent. The demeanor and attitude of everyone working there was poor. Everyone. So many people coming in with smiles and leaving angry or upset. The staff there act like they are doing you a favor. Felt for the people in the passport line. If you were #10 or later then you were looking at 5+ hours wait. If USPS ever wants to gain share against UPS and FedEx they are going to have to step up their service. They are no longer the only game in town. Will never be back to this branch.
Ive had to deal with this post office for 5 years now. Only one associate was ever helpful. Was told my package was gone just to call around to be told to come to this exact location cause my package has been here. It was an overnighted food item that was made from scratch and I feel bad for my family member who spent the money and time to make and ship this package and have it sitting in hereUpdate: package was sitting there from Saturday. My aunt spent 65 on shipping!
The carrier for my address has lost or delivered my packages to the wrong person 5 times since June 2018. The last 3 packages were as recent as yesterday. You can file a case to have it investigated and theres no resolve. The supervisor of the branch believe his carrier and thats the end of the story for them. Something really needs to be done and the lost packages need to be taken serious. Horrible service!!!
I have never seen a more disorganized, poorly trained post office, as this one. I have lived here 3 weeks and already had 4 seperate issues with them. No one knows whats going on. Im convinced that my carrier is illiterate. Supervisors just interrupt and yell over you when you try to explain a problem. This office needs to be shut down or completely re-staffed! I am seriously considering getting a box at a different office, just so my mail never has to pass through these incompetent hands again.
This location has lost my mail not once, but twice. Both times my USPS app says the package has been delivered to my parcel, but yet, there is nothing there. Whenever I visit with them in person or over the phone, they always tell me, “it says it was delivered.” Then they can never find out what the carrier person did with it and I always have to call the company I ordered it from to have them send me another shipment. I don’t mean to sound impatient, but then I have to wait for the company to ship it out again and normally have to wait another week before I actually get it.
I set up and paid for a PO Box online. All I had to do was bring a form to the post office and pick up the keys. I got there and it was a complete disaster. They are not trained on what to do or how to access transactions completed online. The whole ordeal was nearly an hour long and they wouldnt give me the keys until they figured out how to clear the mistake they made on their screen. I felt I was dealing with a clown or someone on illegal drugs. I handed the postman a paper, he sat it down, then he could not find the paper, and was asking me where HE put it! I thought I was on hidden camera for a while so I smiled and remained polite through the entire time. Nearly every question I asked was either not answered or answered incorrectly until the postman asked a superior (Jon was nice). When I finally got my keys, one did not work. I signed up for this box because my mail (which does come from this location), is not delivered promptly. Many days I have no mail, which shouldnt happen for me, and I never get ads, etc. I dont think getting the box is going to help though if some of their workers are this incompetent. The person I was dealing with did not appear to be new, he had white hair, tall, and I believe I have seen him there before. All I can say is, I was happy when it was all over. Next time I need a box though, I am going elsewhere.
Absolutely terrible. I had a package overnighted was guaranteed delivery by 1030 am the following day. 1 pm rolls around and no delivery. I call the line to that hub and it rings continuously. They take no responsibility for their mistakes. They are literally just collecting a pay check and do not understand the concept of accountability. I will definitely be using FedEx it UPS next time.
The mail delivery person for 2811 la frontera, never speaks to anyone, when you ask questions all you get is attitude, he stopped delivering mail to certain mailboxes for some reason, when questioned he couldnt help, but the post office told me there was an issue with the box, when I asked the apartment complex he never brought it to anyone attention. Call the post office to report his rude attitude he has EVERYDAY and no one can answer the phone. Wish I could make a report to the government. He hates his job and its VERY obvious!
Very disrespectful to military and lied about helping me with the self service station. I took a bus here and rushed as fast as I could to the station at 12:57 PM to sent out the officer cover overseas to a military academy roommate who was doing a memorial service for fallen alumni. They directed me to use the self service station then started to close the gate on me and a few other people. When I noticed the station would not process a package large enough for the military cover I rushed back to ask for help. The manager, a older white male with white hair, was very rude and did not look up but yelled at me. When I told him this package was very important for my military academy memorial service he yelled he didnt care and I should send it out another time. When I told him it was for the memorial service in a few days he yelled we should plan the memorial service later. I told him I thought that was very disrespectful but he responded he was a vet himself so he could say what he wanted about the military, then threatened to call the cops on me if I did not leave. Finally to get me and the older lady to leave he told us he would help us with the self service station. After waiting for an hour I realized he was lying and left. Very disrespectful experience, another customer asked for his name to report him for how he treated us but he refused to give it.
Horrible. I keep having problems receiving mail...My mom and grandmother both claimed to have sent me gift cards weeks ago for my baby on the way, and I havent gotten any of it. Its been about 4 weeks since my grandmother sent me the card, and 3 weeks since my mom sent me one. But, I have no problem receiving bills and other things. I asked them both if they had my address right and to text it back to me, and both of them had my address correct. Im starting to wonder if my stuff is being stolen by the mail man...Im usually the last to jump to conclusions and make accusations, but thats the only explanation I can come up with at this point...anything delivered via UPS or Fed Ex arrives just fine, and any bills I receive through the mail also come no problem...so I know someone at this location is taking stuff. No one wants to steal bills or pointless junk mail, obviously. So Im wondering if they see a letter in a colored envelope that obviously isnt from a company, and take it in hopes theres money or other things inside. Ive already been to the post office asking them whats going on and they tell me they have nothing for me, and that if its in my name and has my address it was already sent out. I live in apartments, so only my husband, the mailman and I have access to our box with the keys. I can understand maybe a card getting lost once in the mail. But, twice, from two different people? Whats the odds of that? I have no problem getting anything else, but when it comes to cards with things in them, I never receive them and the post office claims to just not know what happened. Awful. I cant wait until I move.
I walked in with only a question the woman at the counter tried to avoid me and answered with an attitude. Whatever you hate your job cool. My package (overnight mail) was marked delivered (5 days later) but it was not. I was there all day waiting. Also I recently moved in to a new place I get tons of mail for people that dont live here. Which isnt out of the ordinary. But i dont get any of my mail. I didnt get a chance to write my name in the mailbox which didnt seem to be a big deal because no ones name is in the mailbox and Ive been getting eveyone elses mail! So they put a letter saying NO NAME. NO MAIL! and sent all my mail back to sender saying undeliverable address.
Worst pick up service / hold mail service , take about 15min to serve one customer and look for the held mail, 4 out of 5 times still can’t find the mail/ package. Had the misfortune to come here twice and worst service each time. They need to have a better system of tracking stuff they have on hold.
The mailboxes at my complex got broken into, so instead of the mailman leaving our important mail and packages with my apartment complex office, USPS and all their wisdom are keeping our mail at the post office. This location closes promptly at 5pm (probably earlier since its government) and they never answer their phone. This is what more government means, horrible customer service and wasted tax dollars.
Stay away from this location for Passport stuff, they get all rude and aggravated for even mentioning it (they really dont want to do it). They also have ridiculous concepts like walk-ins that require you to come early in the day to get an appointment at noon, and they run out of slots every day fast.Went to the Travis County Tax Office instead (after two consecutive failed attempts here), and it was a super nice, silky smooth process... everybody was nice and my day improved a thousandfold.
Really poor service at this post office. For some reason there is a bigger line for pick ups than drop offs. Isn’t the purpose of the post office delivery? For some reason the refused to deliver my package to my house so now we are forced to wait in a 2 hr line to pick up a package.
As a business owner, I receive sensitive mail (i.e. payments from clients and banks) and I am CONSTANTLY having my mail delivered to the wrong address. I am CONSTANTLY receiving other peoples mail. This is a regular occurrence. I have no idea how much of my mail is never going to reach me, because of the lack of attention this post office gives. I am on the verge of opening a PO Box elsewhere just so that my clients information isnt put at risk. Lastly, business mail is to be delivered by noon, and were lucky if it gets here by 3pm. From recent posts it seems I am not alone in this.*WARNING*Use this Post Office at your own risk.
While the USPS as a whole is not a great organization, this particular branch makes it seem even worse. I have filed complaints online 3 or 4 times about issues such as missent mail, taken packages, etc, and they usually respond with a form letter, but nothing really changes. Its a great example of when an organization has no accountability, they just do what they want. Must be nice to have a job where you can perform however poorly or well you want and still get paid the same and keep your job. Only at the USPS. What makes me more angry is a I know a friend who is an excellent postal carrier, but they dont recognize his hard work anymore than they discipline employees who lose (steal) peoples packages or leave your mailbox wide open because they didnt relock it! :(
When I went to the pickup line to collect my VA medication, the line was very long. I was on my 30 minute lunch break and had JUST enough time to get my package and make it back before I was late, even with the line. I got to the front FINALLY and the guy behind the window said Hold on, I need to go help my boss with something and shut the door in my face. I waited as long as I could, rang the bell and knocked on the door and I was ignored. I left without being able to get my medication and I was late for work. My father was a Post Master and later worked for the Postal Inspection Service for 30 years and never, EVER would have allowed his employees to treat customers like that. HUGE disappointment for an industry that I know isnt ok with this kind of poor customer service.
They placed the wrong zip code in the system from a package that I was suppose to receive and when trying to contact them via phone. The phone just rung and kept giving me business signals. Now, the package was returned to sender and I had to repay for the package all over again because of this post office error when all they had to do was answer the phone...!!!
I’ve sent cards and postcards and for whatever weird unexplainable reason some have been ending up getting returned back to my P.O. Box. and I have to remail them, even finding out one got lost somewhere. It’s extremely inconvenient when the address to send them to is clearly there written in print.
I Usually expect to get poor service at a postal location, however this location is actually pretty good. All the ladies behind the counters are very friendly and unlike other locations, theyll bring a few more employees upfront once they noticed that things are slowing down. I drive a little out of my way to get to this location for these reasons.
They marked my packaged as scan / delivered. It was never delivered, when I spoke to the Manager, I was told that it was NOT his problem, and he walked away.Earlier that morning I called 8 times before someone answered, when the phone finally picked up, I asked for a name, the employee then hung up on me.A month has gone by since the investigation started. Since then Ive called USPS customer service, this office CLOSED my investigation w/o informing me anything.
I just had the WORST experience at this post office and I will NEVER be going back to it for any reason. I wait in line and finally make it up to the counter. I have an iPhone in the box that I need to ship to an APO in England. 45 minutes and 3 completed forms later... and after being told the total was $19.95, no $66 but why does it say India, no looks like $19.95, no that cant be right, its going to be $44.95... and being asked to leave the line at least 4 times to look for a box that did not exist at that post office... AND having to stop the man to was helping me from sticking the iPhone in a flimsy paper envelope after being told multiple times that this needs to ship in a box WITH padding... Im finally told that the post office is out of the box I need and Ill have to go elsewhere. The man who helped me had NO idea what he was doing and the others around were not being very helpful. Stay away from this post office! Drive out of your way to use another one!
Horrible service. They make up their own passport hours. The site says walk ins but after waiting in line for 45 minutes they then said theres a sign up sheet. Not online but a sheet you have to go in and sign in the morning in person. If they have more than four people in the shipping line they simply stop doing passports for the day. The rating for this location fits perfectly. I can see why the usps almost went bankrupt until they got bailed out.
Had a package say was undeliverable on the tracking to an address I regularly get mail to. Was annoying that I had to go in in person to sort out but Brenda went above and beyond to personally get it taken care of and retrieved the package herself and gave it to me on the spot. Didnt interact with any other employees but Brenda definitely was respectful snd professional and made sure I got taken care of. More or less leaving 5 stars for her help it was much appreciated
The Government should shut this Post Office down. IT IS HORRIBLE!!! We had no mail delivered today at all!!!! This has happened several times. Once the Carrier delivered mail to our Street that was the next street over. Then he deliver one house off. Each house had their neighbors mail. He even put a stack of advertising card in my box instead of delivering to each house!!! I have complaint to the managers numerous times, so many time I have lost track. I think its time I complaint to a higher authority. Mail should be delivered 6 days a week. I was expecting a very important package today and the mail AGAIN had not been delivered in my neighborhood, at all. Several neighbor are lookinG for mail and there isnt any. Im fed up with this location!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow my complaint starts with the Governors office followed by the White House. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO NOT DELIVERY OUR MAIL DAILY!!!!!
I called to make an appointment for a passport renewal. After many tries I finally managed to get someone to pick up and they informed me (quite curtly) they were only accepting walk-ins at that time. I drove there and surprise, passport office was closed that day. Ok, my bad, maybe I should have explicitly asked if I could come in that day.The next day I call in the morning, again I need several tries before getting someone and they confirm theyre open to walk-ins that day. Again I drive there, and surprise, theyre still closed. When asked to reconcile the phone information with reality they had no answer other than were short staffed. Unbelievable.Incompetent and not an ounce of pleasantness to make up for it.
Horrible post office. I have been up to this location 12 times in this year trying to get packages that are not being delivered. Spoken to multiple manager and even when I ask them to follow up they never do. All I get told is that an employee is gone on sick leave and has no eta on returning yet only she can help me apparently. The worst government institution I have ever been to, and that is saying something.
None of them have any idea what theyre doing. I dont know how these people were able to get jobs here.I called ahead to see if my package was available for pickup. I gave them my address and they went and checked. They said the package was there and told me to come through.I go in, they tell me I cant pick it up because my slip says I cant pick it up until the next day.I try to ration with the lady saying they literally just told me it was available and I could pick it up, and she just brushes me aside to attend to the long line of 2 other people.
Worst. So I waited for my delivery package (parcel) that’s in need of a signature, I was waiting for my package to arrive and it said 8 pm. So great I go on with my day come back with a note saying I missed my package my redelivery date will be the 19th which was the following day, it said it will arrive at 8:30.Great, I’m at home all day, waiting for my package to arrive it’s almost 9. And I still haven’t gotten my redelivery and don’t think it’s gonba come today either. So I do not understand how you can give me on your own a delivery date but not show up on what you’ve promised... ?Horrible horrible horrible.Usps where the HELL IS MY PACKAGE?
Have been having a problem with pick-up and delivery of my mail. The previous delivery personnel was great and above great. Since these folks have left here is what has happened.I put up my flag for mail pick up - it may or may not be picked up - it may or may not be scanned if picked up - the flag may or may not be put down to show service rendered.Today had mail to pick up - @ 6:00 flag still up so check box to find that part of the mail had been picked up - but one left and not scanned - the ones picked up were also not scanned. Mail was left - hope it was all of mail.I send tracking numbers to people I sell to and now this number just show I have made label when in fact I did mail it - very frustrating!I believe these new folks need more training.
Worst Priority drop box in town. Lazy postal employees routinely stop accepting packages for the day around 3-4PM, even though last drop-off time for them should be 5:30. Theyve lost several packages of mine that were properly labeled with THEIR labels from THEIR website. Asking USPS to put a trace on a package lost from this location is a waste of time. If it doesnt show it has left this facility after 2 days, start demanding a refund. These postal goons are the exact reason why USPS is going down the crapper.
Terrible Service. Worst customer service of any place Ive ever seen, government run or otherwise...Update: After over half a decade of dealing with this USPS location many, many times as well as several others in the Greater Austin area and the Greater Waco area (the latter being my place of birth and home town until 19 years of age), I can safely say that the Bluebonnet location specifically is BY FAR the worst in every area of business from general customer service to general competency. While other locations make occasional mistakes and are always happy to provide the necessary customer service to make up for their mistake, leaving the customer happy, Bluebonnet is quite the opposite. Bluebonnet makes constant mistakes, always refuses to take ownership, and while being incredibly rude and abrasive, they will blame their mistakes on you while taking an extremely long time to rectify the issue assuming they rectify it at all.My dislike for this location has slowly grown into a passionate hate!
If you want to pickup mail that’s been on hold, first thing to do is hit yourself in the face with a brick. , then jump on a bed of nails, and lastly go here to pickup your mail, because you’ll feel a lot better about the experience. Because it takes way too long, and they’re bad at their jobs
I had a package that says it was delivered on Nov.19th to my mailbox. The package was not there and was obviously placed in the wrong box. After calling the 800 number with a wait time of over an hour, I was able to leave a message and wait for someone to call me back that evening. No one return call.I email them with tracking number and got a case number.By end of week nothing. So on saturday i go to post office location to talked with agent.Give him my tracking number. He said carrier was off that delivered the package. What a joke so he take my name and number he said he would call me on monday. Then i get a voicemail on monday night from manager to call him no answer.I even left a copy of tracking number fir carrier to look at inside my mail box.No response .I go back to post office on tuesday to talked with manager he didnt come out.Again excuse. The agent take my email address and number again.Trying to get answer over a wee k from them.Bottom line no help from manager or carrier this is still pending. No one care about my issue with missing package
This postal office is not professional in any way. I live in an apartment complex, I have a mail box and the leasing office is also available. This postal service back in December of 2015 decided to leave my passport under my door Matt when I have a mail box and if they dont have access to it they can leave it in the leasing office or leave me a note letting me know I have to pick up my package from the local office. Because they left my passport under my doormat, my passport got stolen. I had expidited my passport as I had an emergency trip out of the country and I was going on my flight the day after my passport got stolen. I called the postal office to tell them and the lady that left my passport under my doormat spoke to be and she did not only admit she had left it there but also described my doormat and where my apartment was located. I then went in the local post office and spoke to the head manager of the store and all he said was, well Im sorry, if the sender doesnt ask for a signature then we dont ask for one. I was not even talking about the signature just the fact that they had left it in my doormat. Then today I had another incident where I ordered some auto parts and unfortunately the delivery store was US Postal service I automatically new something was going to go wrong so I asked the sender to ask for a signature this time. I come to my apartment to find the auto parts outside my door! Just laying there for someone to take them! Luckily this time no one stold the items but this is outrageous! Items are not to be left out of the sight of just anyone specially if you have a mailBox or a leasing office to leave the stuff to. And if this two are not an option the take the items back and leave a note.I am definitely taking this to cooperate and making a complaint.
They lost my package. I ordered it from ebay, and in tracking history it says delivered to mailbox, when there was nothing in it. My mailbox is secured and locked, and package couldnt be stolen. I had to submit case to ebay, and they refunded me a cost ONLY because of courtesy, since USPS first class is not insured. They said if mail carrier loses it again, you wont get any refund.I submitted case to USPS, and they didnt find it, no surprise here. No reimbursement either.
Terrible. Certified letter still not delivered after two weeks. The Manager, Kim, said to wait a couple more days. After the letter still didnt arrive, returned to inquire. The manager said its not their fault and refused to give me the name and number of the person above him. He told us to call the Houston office where the package was being sent and gave us 2 phone numbers that didnt even work. This package is only from Austin to Houston. Refused to provide any help and told us to call the customer service number with a waiting time of 2 hours. Was able to find the housHou number by calling an office in Houston which I found of the web.
This is ridiculous, I have been trying to get these people to answer the phone for three days, I got ahold of someone once, she said she would have to talk to my carrier about why their website had my package listed as Undeliverable (even though the address is 100% perfect on the site I ordered it from) and then I never received a call back. Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced, which when you consider how much postal employees get paid is pretty laughable.
Received a notice that my certified mail was at a USPS location. No tracking number listed, no location listed. Am I to just drive around town to each location? Why we still have this poorly ran operation in service is beyond me. They lack the technology to perform their job correctly and the knowledge of how to fix whats broken.
They have my package that couldnt not be delivered to my address because it was unknown but every other usps ups fedex have been able to deliver. And they say it might be there but not sure. When I asked when do they send items back it takes 10 days. So my package is there because it was undeliverable 2 days ago.
These people are the worst. I showed up at 8:30, when they are supposed to open. They open the door at 8:50. Boss and everyone that worked there was aggressive and incompetent. They delivered a package to a broken locker and then told me the locker wasnt their responsibility. I wish I could give zero stars.
[PART 1 OF 3] Around 1PM CST on October 29, 2018, I stopped into the USPS as undercover for a client to investigate the cleanliness, facilities and to staff were upholding companies policies and practices. I was specifically sent to evaluate two employees at this location and not all staff members. I did not reveal I was undercover (some clients request only after, but not this one) as that was not part of my description for this particular client. There are certain things I will not reveal in this review, but if the two women I approached during my time there (if they are reading this, theyll remember me), I was the one asking about the hold mail from a UPS store box.One of the ladies was lead and I made the statement that she has the presence of a manger and she said said no. I said, Maybe one day. She responded in disgust as to say she would never accept such a position. I said, Oh you dont want to be manager? and she said shaking her head left to right and say, No. I do not know if my clients intent regarding her, but I will leave that part out in case she might be getting a better job offer there or elsewhere. So if shes reading this, you never know who youre speaking with. so if you do not like your job, it is best to keep that to yourself and not to strangers coming in. That stranger could very well be undercover hired my your employer or someone else looking to afford you a better future. The other young lady looked very similar to someone I know personally and would not be surprised if she is kin to someone by the name of Kayla. They look similar like they could be family members. I did mean to ask her the more I looked at her while she spoke, but I had to stay focused on business -- getting information for my client about this facility regarding two specific employees who I had to verify first were working before going.I will send in my evaluation about the data they both said to me verbally that was not in sync with whats documented on their website. I also have done work in web development. So I know the ease to make a quick edit to reveal to people that USPS cannot hold UPS stores mail. This is what these two women told me despite what is reflected on their website. Further speaking with them, revealed they were not knowledgeable about what was on their website. Working for an employer it would make sense to familiarize yourself with your employers site so that you are not giving out inaccurate information to what is WRITTEN. What holds up in a court of law is what is WRITTEN not what someone states. What can get someone fired is passing off information that is not in sync or in agreement with what is WRITTEN. These two women said their employers site was wrong (see attached image of their site) however provided no documentation to support what they stated. The only thing a person has is whats WRITTEN and the website stated you can go in to request a hold for an address I gave on their form that was a UPS store address (see attached image of their site and you can even go there and enter the details and see youll get the same message).Full PDF with evidence can be found:drive . google . com/file/d/1dSAS8zBq2gLznkLJAcjI07pFkXo9U3nW/view (remove spaces in link) - This occurred on Monday, October 29, 2018 and not the 28th. I accidentally typed 28 at the beginning of the document.
There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to the level of efficiency here (or lack thereof). They often send perfectly deliverable parcels back to sender as undeliverable. Very inconsistent service. Amongst a few friendly employees here there a few extremely rude ones. If this was a private sector business they would have been closed down by now.
Packages marked as having arrived, in parcel locker. Problem? No key in our mailbox to get said items. Another of a long string of problems with this facility and their carriers. Regularly mis-file mail in others boxes (commercial). Never able to get them on the phone. Your tax dollars, hard at work ... ?UPDATE: Spoke with a very courteous person, who said theyd rectify the situation, and to check back later today. Much improved.
Went to pick up my mail at the door. Window was open, but no one was there. So I waited. Nothing happened, so I got in line. Took me fifteen minutes to get to the counter to tell the lady I needed my mail. She denied me and told me, “I’m not getting mail today, I’m only taking parcels. You’re going to have to go to that line!”Cmon how hard is it to get someone’s mail? I know I could’ve went to the other line but I’m not spending an hour just to pick up my mail. Customer service is no good and there’s no direction at that place. Total bummer and that place sucks.
In a word, pathetic. If their icy manager Colquit is representative of this stations staff, then all their employees need to be retrained in how to properly handle and deliver mail as well as how to treat customers; or have them all fired and replaced by people who know the meaning of good customer service and can deliver on time. Im to the point that I hand deliver my utility bill because they cannot within seven (7) days inside Austin proper. I have reported my horrible experiences multiple times, so the problem stems higher up the chain of this bloated federal agency. Writing my Congress man was pretty much a waste of time...the common thread of complacency and indifference permeates government officials. What is a postal customer to do?
The passport services and the whole management at the Bluebonnet station are appalling. The average waiting time for passport application processing is between two and five hours. There are no chairs and no restrooms. People are standing in a dark corridor, mothers with little children and elderly people with canes, everyone occasionally trying to lean against the wall or to crouch. The postal clerks let people in at 8.30 but do not start to assist them until 9.30.One of the clerks who is in charge of processing passport applications is an incompetent Asian lady with poor English, no communication skills, and no friendly attitude toward the customers. She would take as much time as she needs to assist a single person, would be in no hurry to give her best in the job, and would be helpless if you had any questions. On top of that, she would not hesitate to turn people away for petty and stupid reasons, as it happened to be in my case. After I had stood in line for three and a half hours on Monday morning (May 11, 2015), the Chinese expert refused to process my application, because she found that my name on the naturalization certificate did not match the name on my drivers license. In fact, the names do match, but since my middle and last names are identical, one of those is omitted on the drivers license, while it is present on the certificate. The clerk suggested that I have a new drivers license issued first, after which I should appear before her again! After three hours of wait and hope!In my extreme frustration, I summoned a manager who, upon realizing that the issue was not serious, tried to convince the impolite and unbending clerk to process my documents. The latter would not budge and would repeat like a parrot one thing she had learned in her many years of experience in these matters: there must be three name matches on three different forms. Suddenly, the manager succumbed to her repetitions and took her side, starting to convince me that this clerk was not incompetent but quite the opposite - a person with formidable experience! Both the manager and the clerk failed to advise me that I could use an alternative proof of identity such as an international passport, for example, where both identical names were present. This I learned later, in the Travis County Jury Office, where the postal manager sent me. I left the post office tired, all in sweat, and frustrated to the bones. In the Travis County Jury Office I received quite the opposite reception – all the clerks were kind and competent, they did not see any problem with my drivers license and they said that, although either a drivers license or an international passport could be used for a second proof of identity, all they basically needed was the certificate of citizenship, which had a primary importance. Thus I was able to file for a passport.I strongly suggest that radical changes be implemented in the Bluebonnet Post Office Station in North Austin – changes which will accommodate people with enough chairs (if they are to wait for hours on end), more light in the corridor, competent and timely assistance, and a management which is attentive to peoples concerns - one which can make a difference between significant and insignificant issues. People are tired with clerks with poor English and non-existing communicative skills, but most importantly – they are tired with incompetence and stubbornness. It may be of your interest to know that, when I was telling the clerk that my oath ceremony was last Friday, she did not know what I was addressing!
If there were a way to give this location negative stars, the number would be incalculable. I have only ever had 2 packages go to this location, and as a previous review stated, this locations lack of customer service ability, and overall complete incompetence is the shining example of why the US Postal Service is in decline.I have only had two packages go through this location, and they dropped the ball on both accounts. 0 for 2 guys, seriously. The first incident happened where a package was lost. According to the tracking information that I had, it was brought back to the location for me to pick up, as there was no one to receive it. No worries. So I called the location to ask if it was there, and if I could just come pick it up that day after work. They told me that that the package was there, and I could indeed come pick it up any time before closing. Typically when you tell someone that an item is there at your location, you dont just guess and then pray. You go and put your hands on the item and make a mental catalog of where in the building it was so that it is easy to find it when the customer arrives to pick it up. This was most certainly not the case. So I get off work, drive to the location, wait in line for well over an hour and finally talk to someone behind the counter. When I finally speak to this person, they rush around in a panic because the package was not there at all. It was put on the incorrect delivery truck, and no one knew what vehicle, or who the driver was. I was told that it would be returned that night, but likely after hours and would then be correctly delivered the next day. The next day I was not working, and I was at my home all day. No mail carrier ever knocked on my door, and when I went to check the mail, all of the regular mail was there, but there wasnt any notification of a delivery attempt. So I called the location, and they told me that the driver attempted to deliver the package, but no one was at the residence. I explained that I was there at the moment, and had been there all day. They told me that there was nothing that they could except wait for the driver to get back that evening, once again likely after hours, and see if the package was there. I told them to hold it at the location the next day, and that I would go and pick it up there. I guess the third time was the charm. Finally went and picked up the package. Now, for the most recent of debacles. I ordered a some items around the 11th of December this year. The package was shipped to this location by Fedex. It was then supposed to delivered to my house. The estimated delivery time based on the tracking information that I had was the 27th. I checked the tracking information on Tuesday and it stated that it had arrived at the location, and to please allow a couple of days for delivery. No big deal. I then check the information again today, the 26th, and find out that there was some issue with the delivery, and the package was returned to sender because the recipient was unknown. Once again, I was here all day the 24th. Never did anyone attempt to deliver anything to my door, and all of the regular mail was in the mailbox. There was not any notification left to notify that there was a package for me.Quite frankly, WHAT THE ACTUAL F***?I honestly think that there is someone that works there that is stealing mail from someone. This is absolutely, 100% unacceptable, and I feel that something should be done about this.
Im new in this country and my wife has sent me several packages from Colombia. She forgot to put apartment number on the 8 boxes she sent. She put my phone number on a couple of them and thats when my mail lady called me for my apartment number. We spent almost $2000 for this to be shipped. I want to thank my mail lady Michelle Diaz for putting effort on this. She recovered 6 out of the 8. The other two were sent back for not having apartment number. I called Michelle on her personal phone for help and even though she was off that day, she helped me with my packages and delivered them the next day. Michelle saved us a lot of money by not sending these back. Thank you Michelle for your efficiency and for being available for us. Familia De Gama.
By far the worst experience Ive ever had with a postal office. Their idea of customer service is appalling. I strongly suggest asking for a supervisor if you are given attitude. The moment I did suddenly my mail was located (by the supervisor) even though the post office clerk claimed he checked and found none.
Tried to call the listed number for this facility several times. Someone answers the phone and then immediately disconnects. My assumption is that they dont want to be bothered by phone calls. As a federal employee, it makes me sad to know that another federal agencys employees are disappointing the public we serve. I fully support reducing USPS expenses by eliminating Saturday delivery.
Dont even bother trying to call every time I call it either no one picks up or they pick up and hang up on you and I just wanted to call to find out if I had any mail before calling a Uber or not everyone has transportation and has to go through Uber or Lyft so I felt like it was a little wrong
They loose, misdeliver, and mishandle mail consistently. Ive had at least three valuable packages lost in the past year. Had the packages tracked only to have the system say they couldnt find them after 6 months. Avoid using USPS, and this location in particular whenever possible.
I called to inquire about a package that was undeliverable as addressed, from the shipper forgetting to put my suite number on the package, and ask what I needed to do from this point on to keep the package from being returned to sender and all I got was attitude and told that it was I that had an attitude. Um, I was asking questions, No customer service skills at all!! I made a formal complaint as this is the worst experience I have ever had at any postal facility. I am not looking forward to having to go in and actually retrieve my package. UGH - update...They sent my package back to the shipper anyway - after I caught it the same day as undeliverable, no holding it for me or anything, which I was told they would. A bunch of liars and rude people. Even the Manager sounded upset that I had made a complaint and seemed to get a bit of joy out of my package being sent back to the shipper. I would stay away from this post office and drive 5 miles to get to another one. I will be making another complaint to the USPS in hopes that someone gets reprimanded.
The worst post office in the entire city of austin is the location at Parmer and metric. I showed up before closing and they said that their computers had malfunctioned and shut down on their own! They just stood there telling multiple customers there was nothing they could do ... they didn’t even try to contact tech support when I asked if they would do that... they said there is no tech support for the post service! I understand why they have 1 Star, they would not do anything to help a customer!
Tried very hard to track a mystery package for me. It took long enough that I got to see them scramble to help as many people as quickly as possible. Be nice! Theyre doing their best in the face of not many resources and a bunch of frustrated (and often rude) customers.
I am considering moving to a new zip code just so I dont have to deal with this particular post office anymore. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I have encountered the rudest and most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. I have been hung up on, I have been ignored and I have been spoken to in a manner that i would usually respond with a punch in the teeth. My package is a week late, and after daily calls and conversations, they still refuse to tell me if they even know where the package is.Alberta is a terribly rude woman, and the supervisor Steven Cook is the single rudest and unprofessional supervisor I have ever encountered in my life.I am considering moving to a new zip code just so I dont have to deal with this particular post office anymore.
While the USPS website says they do passport (pictures and related services), I went there and checked that the time indicated on the website was correct, they couldnt do anything because they were too busy. Huge waste of time. They should update the website to avoid any inconvinience of the sort. The staff was very friendly though.
Awful post office. The mailman/lady sucks at delivering. They leave the mailbox open and then the mail gets wet when it rains. They deliver someone elses mail to me and mine to others. Ive had credit cards and checks misdelivered/stolen and that person decided to use them. Now I have a Rx thats missing and says delivered but wasnt delivered to me. And it a hassel to get replaced.
The manager is ridiculous. I believe her name is mimi, she is ghetto. I was supposed to receive my package today and she scolded me for her employee not doing their job correct. She did not tell me when my package would arrive. She hung up the phone. I dont even know when and where my package is at. Ghetto shanaynay is incompetent and a joke.
Seems that residential route carriers are told to NOT pick up mail from your box if flag is not up EVEN if they have mail to deliver to your box. Twice this week the carrier took out the mail we were mailing, put in the mail we were receiving, then put the mail we were mailing back on top. I must say that this only happens when our regular carrier is not delivering. We dont put our flag up because people drive the street looking for mail flags up to steal checks and payments.
Horrible Horrible Horrible! One person working this morning with a line out door. Be prepared to wait over 30 mins to sending something. I also had a service animal with papers and she was denied entry. You would think that with all the business of being busy they could afford more staff that are knowledgeable. Also there is no mask enforcement. I’ve been multiple times and people are not wearing masks while inside the building. I would try to go to a different location if you can.Now this gets even more crazy!! The woman that comes in to help us wearing this shirt!! You can make this up guys

2022-01-29This post office is usually very busy all hours of operation and the parking is limited. Brought about by local neighborhood thieves, vandalism of community mail boxes and slow supply chain options for replacement, the lines have become increasingly lengthy, customers agitated and postal service agents doing their best as emotions increase. They have one very nice bilingual gentleman who is usually very calm, oriented to respond fully and carefully and speedy with mail distribution service at the window. They do have a lot of assorted supplies for purchase and handicap accessible entry. The self service machine to weigh and purchase postage does seem to be in good working order the majority of the week. Come early as they cut off the line 30 to 15 minutes prior to closing time to be able to assist the very long lines and customer questions.

2022-04-12This is a post office, and post offices arent known for having the most amazing service, and thats the reason why theres such low ratings here - people just complain. This one is pretty busy, and Im sure people who got a rude experience from the post office have just encountered the staff being overworked and short-tempered. I highly recommend you try to get your packages redelivered or something instead of trying to pick your packages or mail up here. Theres always a really long line for that. For shipping packages, this post office isnt that bad. Theres usually several people waiting in line, but it goes pretty quickly. And thats what Ive been using this post office for.The postal workers try their best, but still because of the amount of work they have to do, they cant please everyone.

2021-10-01USPS changed our community mailboxes without warning and said we have to come into the facility to get new keys. I brought ID & proof of residency and the staff had the audacity to say it was fake and refused service. Now I have to take off work to go down their to get keys since we have time sensitive mail coming. The staff are incompetent and slow af.Came back next day and the line went back to the other side of the building even while people werent socially distancing.

2022-04-28This has to be the worst post office I ever been to. There is always a line. This is at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday. Dont even think about coming here on the weekend. The line is about 2 hours long on the weekends

2021-09-17It has to be illegal to be this inadequate and slow at everything. Every time i hear talks of the government defunding USPS my heart skips a beat. I would vote so quickly on that bill to get it passed. I can walk backwards to my packages original destination and get it faster. I have to come to this hell on earth each time I get packages because they dont deliver to doors, only mailboxes. And for those merchants who use USPS to deliver stuff to your customers.....i hope you get a stocking full of coal this year.

2022-07-21This post office loses or misdelivers mail so often!!! IF you can get someone in charge to talk to you theyll tell you that they have new staff and that the old postal worker that messed it up before is gone but the problem KEEPS HAPPENING with incredible regularity, I dont want postal workers to lose their jobs I want them to be trained correctly and be given enough time to do their job with accuracy. In the 6 years I have lived in the service route of this post office they have lost countless of my packages, not to mention I dont send mail out with them anymore - I literally have to drive to another neighborhood and drop it off at their post office to make sure my mail goes out and gets where its going. Legitimately the next time I move a major factor on where I end up will be if it is serviced by this post office.

2022-04-26Dont waste your time calling this location. I called their location-specific phone number several times right after they opened, and it just played the same robot-intro every time. Said that I would be put on hold until the next available person, but the phone call doesnt even go on hold... it just rings... and then eventually the phone call ends because no one is there to pickup. So now, I cant even check if they are the post office that is holding on to my package per customer request (which I nor the company I ordered from put in, so I dont know how that happened... hmmm).

2022-04-26Never in my life have a waited so long to be told that my package was out for delivery; even though the tracking number told me it was ready for pickup (without my consent); even though I accidentally gave the wrong address.I waited 1.5hrs in a line of 5 people.I was fortunate enough to find out that my package did get dropped off at Fetch. So USPS needlessly made me come by for pickup.

2022-02-17I’m going on 8 weeks now of not having a key for my mailbox. And 10 hours of time wasted standing at the post office to be told they don’t have my key. I’ve paid twice for a new lock. Everytime I go it’s “we only have the odd keys and we can’t help you”. Unbelievably unnacceptable. I run a rather large company and need access to my personal mailbox for tax documents, checks, etc. If there is a legal recourse I will find it. I will be talking to the manager tomorrow.

2021-09-25Post boxes broken into AGAIN they finally broke them bad enough that they cant patch them together again....maybe. I have my app open every time to show them how much mail and packages because I have had them tell me no mail. I showed them the app and made them try again....miraculously the carrier just arrived with it.....SERIOUSLY. plan to wait at least an hour to get your mail
