United States Postal Service in other cities:
This post office is hidden and not much of big traffic, but sturdy of people coming in and out.Marla helped me today, and she took her time to explain of what to do, then even help me tape up the back of the envelope that Im sending to IRS.I also have a returned mail which postage was lost, I gave her that same envelope with new stamp, she took her time to use marker to blackout all barcodes, so the envelope can reach to where it needs to go.
I went to post a priority express courier and waited for around 1 hour in line. Only one counter is open and its slow like a sloth. Even after a day my courier haven’t reached the destination. So I went again next day to found out that my courier still lying there in the mail box. They forgot about it :(Kind request to anyone who visits this, please be extra careful if you are sending any important time sensitive documents.
My first experience here - the first time Id ever mailed a package internationally - was not great, as the guy at the desk was terribly impatient with my ignorance. That was about five years ago, though, and every visit since has been perfectly pleasant, the staff friendly and helpful regardless of how busy the place was, or how close to closing time Ive shown up! I dont think Ive ever seen that one guy again, either, so maybe they moved him to a non-customer-facing position. Bottom line: Its a rough job in a rougher system, but the folks at the Jollyville location handle it admirably. Hang in there, yall, youre doing well!
This is the worst post office I have ever used, and Ive lived in 2nd world countries. In just 5 years I have had checks stolen (before they got to my mailbox) and forged, plus no fewer than 6 other packages disappear into thin air, with no help from the post office. I believe the guy responsible for my missing packages is no longer responsible for my mail, and the women doing it now are great, but Im thrilled to be moving out of this post offices jurisdiction.
There is always 1 person working. Especially, Thursday through Sat. Expect to wait in line for about 35 to 45 minutes or longer. When picking up mail/packages, you have to wait about 2 days to get it from when you receive the notice in your mailbox. Apparently, carriers take their time with sending mail/packages back to the facility for customer pick up. I truly wish this wasnt the post office I have to go through for my mail.
Everyone is saying this is the worst usps they had ever been to. I just wanted to see how they earned the reputation. Well now i see everyone is right. They are slow as sloths. Counting and adding numbers one by one like a kindergartener. I was served by a woman Rajni from India. When asked if they sell envelopes for mailing documents, she said they only provide priority envelope. I asked I dont mind buying but i couldnt find one on the counter that is large enough for A4 paper. She then got mad. She started to lash out and say it is YOUR responsibility to have envelope. It is Your responsibility to close the envelope. It is YOUR responsibility to write address. As if responsibility is the only intelligent words she knows. I know the things i need to do, but is it necessary to say everything is my responsibility?? What a disqualified and incompetent person to work in public sector. People are here just to run their errands. You are not king to dictate others life. You all have horrible days everyday.
Had to pick up mail in person because someone drove into our streets mailbox. Handed them my state ID to verify my address which was taken to the back to retrieve my mail. They returned with the mail but not my ID and were not able to find it after 30 minutes of searching. All they could offer was to call me if it turned up. Unbelievable.
I applied for a minors passport through this post office, and its been a disaster. Passports have been held up as it is, and this post office has delayed our application by months. I followed the checklist for all the documents necessary for my childs first time US passport and brought all documents with me. The lady who processed it all only took photocopies of our passports and left out at least 5 other important, mandatory documents. I got a call from the processing center in Georgia and they told me there are several missing documents and my application is incomplete and therefore delayed. I am upset because I had all these documents with me and the USPS clearly doesnt know or follow procedure. I regret going here and advice others to do their homework before you apply through this center. Unprofessional and disorganized.
I have never had a great experience at this post office, and I go out of my way now to avoid it and drive to other post offices when necessary. Things have not changed - still long lines, supplies of forms low or missing, and some staff members are either just barely responsive to customers’ needs or downright rude. And the fact that there are always customers in there who don’t mask up, makes it dangerous for me, not to mention the staff. I dread having to go there in the near future!!
This is the worst post office Ive ever experienced. They lose our mail, deliver other peoples mail to our house, and refuse to deliver packages. Several times, weve gotten notice that they attempted to deliver a package to us, when in reality, we watched the truck deliver mail to our mailbox then drive off, leaving a slip stating that they attempted delivery. Then after several days, we have to go stand in line for more than an hour to pick it up from them. Thats not what we pay for. Calls to complain do no good at all. Extremely poor service and bad attitudes.
Seeing all the negative reviews I feel compelled to write a review. I frequent the Jollyville Post regularly and have not had poor experience. Every worker has been pleasant and helpful. I make it a habit to plan ahead, and expect a wait during certain hours. If I approach the staff with a friendly and respectful attitude, I get that same treatment in return. The workers there have limited control of problems with mailbox break-ins, package theft and ect. These people are human beings. They are just trying to pay their bills like everyone else.If customers came into my job expecting instant gratification with sour attitudes or even aggression I probably wouldnt be friendly or put extra effort in helping them.Cheers Postal Workers.
They’ve lost 3 packages of mine, and have never once even attempted to rectify. I’ve filled out at least 6 forms where they’ll ‘contact’ me. Not a single phone call or text ever. Attempted to ship a prepaid label item and they refused to even tape it to the container I just purchased. Absolutely worthless and the worst post office and employees I’ve dealt with anywhere. 0/5
Bafflingly poor service, they never answer the phone, when dropping by in person all of the workers are incredibly rude. I purchased a PO Box and while large enough to fit the packages I’ve had shipped to me all they do is leave the “sorry we missed you” slips which means you have to sit in line for 20/25 minutes just to get to the window and catch an attitude for their short coming. If you can avoid, absolutely avoid.
Im going to give this location a bit of a nudge. When walking in, the two ladies at the desk were not happy. The environment is typically somber lol. I mean who enjoys working? I didnt give 5th star because the place is your typical government office (where youre lucky to be there) with a blah environment. However, Cindy called us up to the window. We went for my daughters passport renewal. She was very nice and helpful. She double checked everything to perfection and filed our renewal application.
Worst run USPS I have ever experienced. There is always a very long line,The supervisor is very disinterested in assisting anyone, she would rather do her online shopping on her cellphone than help. I asked her if she could assist with the long line, many elderly waiting, she looked up from her phone she had on the counter in front of her computer and said I cant, they ( The 2 P.O .employees at counters who were working very hard) are union employees and I am not allowed to do their job .... something is very wrong about this.
I have been using this PO for a while for mailing packages. The counter service is good, when you eventually get there. No matter the time of day lines are long. This place has 5 or 6 counter spots and I have never seen more than two used. And two being used is rare. My transaction time today was less than two minutes. I waited for at least 15, 15 minutes after they opened. There were two people in front of me when I got there. Nothing happens fast here, but the workers are nice. Please speed this stuff up! Some finger pointing at customers too. How do you not put your destination address on a package? How do you stand in line and hold up the line with no destination address? Come on folks.....
Most unprofessional, incompetent group of people I have ever dealt with. From the mailman to the manager, its a comedy of errors at this place. Theyve lost 3 of my packages in the last year, delivered another 5-10 to the wrong address that I (luckily) found on my own, and blamed me for each time they screwed up. Keep it up guys, maybe youll help speed up the defunding of USPS altogether. We can only hope!
They lost a vital record. They had it in my informed delivery, but it was never delivered. I was told not to report it missing on my dashboard and to just keep waiting. By the time, I finally reported it, the link had expired. That document cost $25 dollars and took 3 months to get here (its a marriage certificate out of New York) and they just told me to order another one.
My experience at this post office was fantastic! The people at the counter were helpful and knowledgeable. I was not looking forward to spending any time waiting in line at the post office since I had just spent 31/2 hours at the Bureau of vital statistics waiting to get a birth certificate for a passport. The clerks were great and the line moved quickly. It was a really good experience, and I would recommend this particular post office to everyone. I wish people would consider leaving positive reviews because this place deserves some.
I walked into this post office pleasantly surprised to see there wasn’t too long of a line. I walked up to the cashier when I was called with a nice attitude, only to be treated rudely by Howard. I did not know that “Parcel Post” was now known as retail ground, and he popped an attitude with me about it rather than just helping me. There’s a reason all the post offices have such bad ratings, and it’s because of irate employees like this guy Howard. I rather go to the UPS store and pay a little more to get better service.
I mail a lot of letters & small packages via USPS on an almost daily basis. Most of the time I purchase stamps online and am able to calculate prices on my own and avoid going to the post office. My local postal carrier is a wonderful person and a great representation of USPS.However, this location is atrocious. I had a previous bad experience and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Today however from the moment I walked up to the counter I could tell the man working there hated his job and wasn’t even going to attempt to be civil. He tried to tell me that my letters were packages, that I would need a customs form for a birthday card that was going overseas and then proceeded to shake, squash and tear two of my letters trying to prove his point that they weren’t just letters (two going within the US had stickers in them but were still within the weight and size standards AND I’d used 2 Forever stamps to overcompensate) I was disgusted and took my mail back and said I would go elsewhere. If he’d taken the time to weigh or measure any of my mail, or show me where he was coming up with this definition of package, I could have at least felt like it was factual information. To echo what many people have said, if you hate people and don’t want to deal with the public, find another job.
Lost my grandmothers priceless ring days before funeral. With the passing of my grandmother, one of my cousins rushed a One Day package with my grandmothers ring so we could have it for our service. However, not only did they not deliver it 2 days after the guaranteed date, they ended up mailing it back to my cousin who received nothing but a box with two holes on either side and a note saying Received - Without Contents - In Damaged Condition. This horrible mess was made worst by the rude service of the employees working at the post office. The day of the One Day guaranteed delivery I called the Post Office which took 45 mins just to reach someone because no one was picking up. I was then yelled by a rude black man who was blaming me for not being home despite being home all day and not receiving any delivery notification. After half an hour of yelling at me he told me they could not redeliver today but will tomorrow. So this time I waited with my lawn chair out all day for the mail man. When I saw his truck I waved at him he waved back and drove away. Without stopping or dropping off the package. At this point I had to take a taxi for a 6 mile round trip ride to the Post Office to try and get this package, but they would not allow me to pick it up since I never got the slip. I opened a case on the missing package but it was closed within 12 hours saying they could find nothing. The next day I then learn from the tracking number it was sent back to my cousin in Michigan, who when he got it said the small box was so badly damaged and the ring was missing. I ended up being forced to write a report to the Post Office Inspector General about this entire mess and especially the rude treatment from this specific branch, of course nothing will come of this. And the stinger to this whole thing? Around the same time I had my military hat One Day shipped to me so I could be in uniform for the event. And guess what, they lost that too. No refunds for both One Day packages. When my lease is up I am moving, not because of crime or anything else, but because I no longer want to be in this Post Offices area.
I dont usually go to this branch, I go to the much more professional Bluebonnet Station near my work, but I had a nearby doctors appointment and needed to ship. Two people actively processing with a line that was 20+ people deep by the time I left. The employee had no idea what she was doing with my international package, and couldnt seem to figure out my customs forms - I rarely ship internationally, but even -I- can figure out customs forms. This post office is terrible all-around. Also, someone had either hit a skunk or was having a massive weed party that I was invited to nearby. Not the post offices fault, but theyre awful so Im blaming them for that too.
Incredibly rude staff every time I’ve come here. Would give zero stars if I could. “What do you want?” when I approach the window. The lady rolled her eyes at me when I asked for a tracking receipt today. During my visit last week, the guy told me that I wasn’t packaging something correctly and told me to redo it and get in the back of the line without offering to help. It’s insulting. Not to mention that the lines are incredibly long. Not coming back.
Worst Post Office, worst customer service. The firm at which I work has all of its time-sensitive mail sent here. We have a courier service set up to go pick up the mail each morning. In other words, the post office is ONLY responsible for receiving the mail, sorting it and putting it in a bin in the back. They dont even have to load it on a truck and deliver it each day. Sounds like theyre doing half of the work that you would expect of a postal service. On a REGULAR basis, as in every day, our courier arrives to sometimes zero mail or half of our mail, as it has not been sorted yet. He often has to return to the post office once or twice that same day, or worse, pick up the mail the following day. Again, this is time-sensitive material on which our business relies.Additionally, I have personal mail sent there c/o my business. Many times, I have paid for expedited shipping. In most cases, the delivery date, which is the status update AFTER the update that indicates the package has already been sorted, precedes receipt of my mail by two days. This makes my expenditures of expedited shipping moot. If I go myself to the post office, they swear up and down that they cannot find it, although it can only be one of two places. As one person said in a previous review, they are either ignorant, or flat out rude. I would guess that ignorance is not the problem, as Ive seen the same employees there for at least two years. How hard can sorting mail possibly be. I guess it could be pretty hard when the employees are on their cell phones, even when assisting customers at the counter. There are some cases in which use of USPS cannot be avoided - some businesses do not offer shipping via any other means. The service this post office provides is deplorable. The fact that you are a government-run facility does not entitle you to treat paying customers this way.
Its December 10 so yes, the post office is busy. At 11:15am they had two cashier reps and a non-cashier rep to help with postage questions and machines. The awesomely helpful gentleman at the non-cashier counter answered all my questions, gave great suggestions and got me a 100+ stack of priority boxes that will work perfectly for my shipment! I was in/out within minutes and happy with the great customer service. It cant be an awesome-every-second job this time of year, so I had to give a shout out!
Came in with pertinent questions: like which service am I suppose to select for my international mail piece? What kind of options are available in my case?..as its ambiguous online. I was patronized, then had my mailed swiped and wasnt given the space to let them know I wanted my mail registered as it contained sensitive documents. You really need to listen to customers and not try to guess what they need ahead of time while patronizing valid questions; even though as a public servant you shouldnt patronize any question to begin with. Also, should really get in the habit of asking if a certification or register is needed especially when dealing with large envelopes (flats) and packages. (They are not average casual letters, who would have thunk??)
The person who I went was very rude. He was an older African America man who said he wont help me without even trying. He instead referred me to call usps if I need help. He was just assuming that my package is lost. The reason I went there was because the receipt they gave me was blank in the middle so I couldnt track my package and I asked him to help me find the the tracking number. He said that is not my fault, that is the printers fault. After waiting there for 30 minutes I asked another gentleman if there is a way he can help me and he explained it to me properly with knowledge and experience of what I was asking of him, and helped me figure out the next step. Very disappointed!
The postal workers here refuse to deliver packages to my apartment complex. There is a management office on the property and parcel boxes in the mailroom which are completely acceptable places to leave packages. Instead, they leave a slip in my mail box for redelivery that they didnt fill anything out on. I cant schedule redelivery with the information they left off (what type of package, why it wasnt delivered, when it can be picked up, who sent it, etc.). Please tell your drivers to do their jobs. Deliver peoples mail or fill out the form so the customer can arrange for redelivery. It shouldnt be up to me to come to the office to pick up my package because the driver was too lazy to complete delivery.
Nice helpful people who always have done what I needed them to do for me. They must put up with rude and impolite people several times a day which must be a super hard way to make a living.Sometimes they have longer wait times and lines because many customers came at the same time. I never wait to the last minute to mail something if I can help it and treat the postal workers the way I want them to treat me. 4 stars because government cuts have made it impossible for the place to be perfect.
Had a part special ordered with no requirements for someone to be home or sign for the package. The morons at the post office sent the package back to the company!!! It was a small package that could easily have been left in the mailbox or at least held at the post office for a day with a notice for me to pick it up, but NO - they SENT IT BACK!!! Now I have to pay for additional shipping and wait another 10 days or pay as much as the item cost in additional shipping charges to get it sooner.
People keep breaking in to our neighborhood mail box, they keep the mail for us at the post office but they dont have it or lose it! It takes forever for them to repair our mailbox and in the meantime I wait in long lines for my mail only to discover they are not sorting it correctly and LOSING my mail!
I have never had so many problems with USPS in Austin then with this one. Packages aren’t delivered so often and even when I schedule a re delivery they’ve been sent back causing me to have to on one occasion pay a company for redelivery because USPS wasn’t able to successfully do their job. Not to mention an oversized package was put in my box and I had to spend 10 min pulling and bending it just to get it out. Completely damaged the package and I’m just thankful it wasn’t anything fragile. I dread anytime I have to actually walk into this location.
This branch (perhaps all branches?) has no system of accountability. They dont answer the phone. They do not fulfill their terms of service. On three occasions I scheduled pickups for Priority Mail parcels online. Each time the pickup was marked online as complete, when in reality the parcel remained on my door step. I talked to the mail carrier about this, who said that one of his bosses was in charge of that, and that I should talk to one of them. In other words, he denied responsibility and passed the buck, instead of volunteering to look into it. To date, I have had no luck contacting any of his superiors. This branch (and perhaps USPS in general?) deserves nothing but the utmost disgust for its abysmally poor levels of service and accountability. Please patronize Fedex or UPS for their incredibly superior service and lower parcel prices.
Im only giving one star because I cant go lower. I havent received mail in 2 months. No one is helpful. I had to call and wait on hold 10 different times in one day just to be hung up on and ignored each time. Abandon all hope ye who enter here. God is dead and this post office is his coffin. My new goal in life is to one day buy this property so I can destroy it and build a public pool.
The customer service here is absolutely ridiculous!!! From the manager down they have no sense of what customer service is. Everyone should not be made to use the selfie serve machine after standing in line for 15 mins. They will be the first to complain when these machines take your job because you not willing to show your value in assisting a customer.
I went to this post office a couple of weeks ago and I love, love the people who work there. Really pleasant and helpful. This USPS is a bit further than the regular USPS I go to but I think I will be going to this location from now on. Kudos to Marla for helping me. ❤️
Went here yesterday to mail some books, not sure why everyone is so cranky with this location. There is always tons of parking and I feel like Im always in and out. Of course I didnt plan very well for what I was mailing because I wanted to check the flat rate and priority mail boxes that they offer. I didnt bring tape or a marker, like a post office newbie. None the less chose the box that best suited my needs. I asked the lady behind the counter if I could borrow tape, she said there is tape for sale, but since I was sending priority mail, she offered to let me use the priority marked tape. Worked out well for me. And the shipping label could be written on with a pen. It was smooth sailing at the counter. 3 people were in front of me, but the wait was not long at all. Great experience here and I usually have great service anyways.
A USPS employee whose name begins with W (Wally? Wesley? Wayan? Wendell?) was working with customers at the counter and refused to wear a mask, despite it being the law, and myself and another customer asking him to put one on. He was shouting at myself and other customers from the counter. State and local law mandates that all people must wear masks indoors during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am SHOCKED that a public employee is refusing to follow the law at this publicly-funded place of business.I normally go out of my way to support USPS over their competitors such as UPS, FedEx, etc. I recently purchased a bunch of stamps in order to support the organization during funding issues. Gentlemen such as the one I encountered today are not only breaking the law (and common sense/decency), but he put a big stain on the reputation of the United States Postal Service. I dont expect that my tax money will be spent on employees who have no regard for upholding the law or public safety. I have never been treated by a UPS or FedEx employee in such a manner....
Horrible Horrible experience! I just dont understand why the USPS would not take action in line to all the reviews mentioned here.In my personal experience the staff here extremely hate their job. I have been to this place a couple of times and the staff at front desk here always have a angry face and are lazy. Recently I went in the early morning there to pick up my package which my tracking said was clearly there. But the lady there looked once and kept on making excuses the package was not there. So finally I asked to see the manager and he found my box right there in the front. This was not just one bad experience, I have lost my packages number of times here!I hate this place, its closest to my home otherwise I would never go there.
Ive been waiting for my ID to come in the mail for 60 days, Ive had to reorder it twice. I went to this post office to see whats going on and the manager said it was the mail carriers falut that the ID is not in my mailbox. I called corporate and they gave me a number to call but I called the number and no one answered also the voice mailbox was full. Im supposed to call the DMV and request for my ID to be delivered for the third time but whos to know if its going to be delivered to my place. Ive had mail that came the same time my ID came in my mailbox but my ID was not in there.
The Good: most of the employees recently have been very helpful and friendly on the rare occasion that I have to pick up a package there. Sometimes it can take a little while for them to find it, but I’m usually in and out of there relatively quickly. I use the self check kiosk whenever I need to mail out anything. The Bad: there is one employee there, Cindy, who has been there a long time, and she is so unpleasant to everyone around her that I have no idea how she hasn’t been thrown out of the building. Today, she angrily told a woman mailing out a package “NO! hit the yes button, the YES button RIGHT THERE”. I can also recall another time she almost made another woman cry with her rudeness. The woman left her keys at the post office, and all she could be bothered to do is angrily snap at her “I haven’t seen any keys at all today”, that no one turned anything in, and that she was supposedly the one in charge of the lost and found. After a few minutes of her arguing with and not even trying to help this woman out, another employee comes by, frustrated, and says that the lost keys are literally RIGHT below her behind the counter. I try my absolute best to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I can clearly see this woman is just an unpleasant and mean person. Get out of customer service if you hate dealing with people so much, or retire.
They hardly ever answer the phone and when they do, instead of trying to be helpful they blame you. Aside from that I had a package to be delivered today where our agent has been present all day. I checked my mailbox to see a form stating USPS was unable to obtain a signature.. Now I can only deduce that out of sheer laziness our postman couldnt bear to walk the fifteen feet from our mailboxes to our office in order to get a signature. Now I have to waste my gas tomorrow to pick up a package that should have been delivered today. Good job USPS classy as always!
Horrendous customer service. I contacted USPS online to mention slow package deliveries. Amber was assigned to reply to my concerns. She blames COVID-19 for every delay. Shes rude, abrupt, and dismissive. She refuses to believe theres anything else wrong and will not escalate the problem, even when its potentially further up the line at the regional distribution center.
I came in and politely asked about a package that was not delivered to my house, because the delivery person had marked it as “insufficient address.” By this point, I had talked to someone on the USPS customer service line, who told me to go to the Northcross office to pick up my package. I verified with that person what my address was —it had been correct— and they apologized but assured me I’d be able to pick it up that office. I make the drive over there— the Northcross office is NOT my local post office— and they very kindly tell me my package is not there. Rather it’s at the Jollyville office. Makes sense, as I live off of Jollyville. Oh well. I drive back to my neighborhood, walk inside and the vibe is instantly terrible. A shrewish middle aged woman barked at me, “Next!” I walk up and explain the situation to her. She interrupts me as I’m explaining I was told to pick up my package at a different location but this is my local office, before I could even tell her I tried to go the other one first, with a big pouty sigh, “Well, what’s your zip.” Fine. I tell her. She looks angrier now, because I am in the right place, so she should try to help me. I tell her my tracking number. She looks it up and goes, “Yeah, we can’t help you. It’s already being returned to sender. You should have come sooner.”I talked to USPS people about my package yesterday, lady. They said I had until Friday to pick up my package. It’s Thursday. I talked to your coworkers in person, at a different location, with the same tracking number and information as you. They told me it was here. I understand all of that may be out of your power, but your attitude and demeanor towards customers is not. She made no apologies for all of the misinformation I had been given. I don’t know if she was already defensive because she was going to be the bearer of bad news... but talking to me like I’m a stupid jerk wasting her time because I just want to know what’s actually going on is not the way. Our interaction lasted longer than it could have if she had just been kind. I hope she retires soon and I hope the USPS urges their clerks to treat customers with dignity and respect. The kicker of all of this to me is that my address was correct. The delivery guy was maybe new, whatever. But she acted like it was somehow my fault it was not delivered to me & that two of her colleagues had given me bad information.Edit: They also refuse to answer their phone.
Went here to pickup mail from a recent Hold Request since USPS.com directed us here given our address. A clerk there told us the mail is held in Dallas and that ALL mail is held in Dallas for local Hold Mail request. We tried to explain what the email from USPS said and also what it said online but he would barely let us get a word in edgewise. Just awful, unprofessional and supremely unhelpful. Decided to go to the Lakeline USPS and the gentleman there was very helpful and pointed us in the right direction. Ended up at the Far West USPS and was able to pickup our mail. In Dallas, huh?
Wait time cannot be predicted for a post office. I had an international pkg and was leary after reading reviews. There was a wait but not unreasonable. Once we got to the counter, it went quickly. I had all customs forms filled out n ready. No complaints at all! Crew on Sat a.m 12/16 /17 moved everyone along in a timely manner.
Would literally give a negative if I could. I arrived at 5:17 and was informed that the post office closes at 5:15 (which it states on every website and the door that they close at 5:30) and an employee lifted the gate, told me they were closed, and slammed it in my face when I asked for an envelope so I could use the self serve counter.
I love where this USPS is located and the self-serve kiosk works properly. 👌🏾 Ive never interacted with staff except when a man kindly held the door open for me. Where to improve: better lit parking lot at night for safety. When using the address for directions, Google Maps can take you to behind the USPS i.e. the other side of the wall on Woodcrest.Update: The staff is awesome. The supervisor is not much of a people person. This location has two self-serve kiosks. One of them doesnt work all the time.
*update 02.2019, went to pick up a package. Had the same usually flunkies working there, who told my my package wasn’t there due to some handler drop off time, and asked me to leave. I demanded they go look as my tracking clearly listed it had been delivered. Much to their dissatisfaction the employee huffed and puffed and went to go look, only to find my exact package there and waiting. These people are completely worthless and will do anything to compromise your agenda. Reporting to inspector general. Oh ya and Howard is still there being a grumpy arse hole.Typical service to be expected as per USPS, slacker flunkies who won’t lift a finger, but there is one specially awful individual named Howard. He works the counter and has a 100% 24-7 FU attitude.
Love this post office. Ive visited it since it opened and have always been week served. As the lines lengthed over the years, they responded. Love that I can drop off packages which are ready to go rather than waiting, that they call those waiting for package pick up and other quick services which need no monetary exchange from the line. Great service, usually with a smile. Thanks! Very clean. Only complaint is that the automated machines which do many of the jobs of the employees rarely work. On the days they do, Im in and out in a flash.
This is the worst post office I have ever dealt with. They have marked multiple packages undeliverable and SEND THEM BACK TO SENDER. These are orders from Amazon and the likes. I have received several orders in the past with the SAME EXACT ADDRESS. I dont know what is happening recently but you are better off having your parcels delivered through another carrier than using this post office. HORRIBLE SERVICE
This USPS is horrible. Lost mail my vacation hold mails (10days worth). This is not the one time, either lost or delivered to somewhere else. One time it was delivered to a friend of mine who doesnt even live in our neighborhood. The supervisor has a I dont care attitude, no wonder most of the employees are the same. Absolutely no smile at this USPS. Years ago when I know my carriers name Bobby and everyone was running great. Now, everyone at that USPS has a face of why am I bother to work here attitude. I am going to see if I can file a formal complain.
USPS tried to deliver a certified letter and I wasnt home to sign for it. Following the instructions on the card, I went online and scheduled a redelivery. The date of the redelivery came and went. I called the one 800 number for USPS and voicemail hell doesnt allow you to speak with a person. The Balcones Woods station does not answer the telephone. While I watched waiting in line, there is apparently a separate walk-up desk (the one closest to the door) for people who are awaiting packages, although they do not tell customers that this is going on. After waiting in line, sick with the flu, I gave the attendant my card and he cut off all of my attempts to tell him my saga, and said he needed to go look at the wall. He came back with my certified letter. I asked why it had not been redelivered. He said sometimes the carriers dont look and see that they have items that need redelivery. Ragesplutter. I want a job where I have no accountability if I dont perform the basic functions of my job.
Same story... Lost package and an endless loop between the 1800 number and this post office. 1800 number reopens and local branch closes it. I only wish I knew this before A second much more important package was ordered. I and the merchant requested that they hold the package at the facility for pick up. I had planned to pick it up when they opened. They open at 830am and at 733am I was texted out for delivery. I never had a chance. What are the chances that my package will end up in the hands of someone other than me? Im so disgusted with these people.
They refuse to answer their phone. Called and called and at one point someone picked up the phone and quickly hung up. Lost multiple packages and when questioned, all they said was well if its gone its gone. Not my problem. Dropped off a package that contained unused meds to go back to the pharmacy and 5 days later I charged and pharmacy said they hadnt received it (it was one day shipping) and it wasnt even scanned in. Now I have to take time off of work because surprise! No one is answering their phones. Here is to hoping we can retrieve it. Based off of other comments and my experience, I wouldnt be surprised if theyre stealing packages.
Busy does not mean you have to be rude. A package was supposed to be delivered to me and the tracking number indicated it was, yet it was not in my securely locked mailbox when I checked it that very day. I went to check out things at the post office in case it was sent back to the sender and was greeted by some of the least friendly attitude I could have been. Needless to say, it didnt help the situation. Beyond nope wasnt back there and a general bad attitude from the start , I wasnt offered any help or guidance. Customer service is important, especially when customers are worried or upset.
I had an interaction with the infamous Howard today. I came in as he was wrapping up with a previous customer, and it was obvious that transaction didnt go well. He was visibly irritated with the customer and even gave the coworker next to him a look of frustration, which she returned to him. When that customer was done, I was the next in line. So I was determined to be as polite, friendly and clear as I could be when dealing with him. It didnt matter. He questioned what I was asking for, as if I wasnt making sense, and he was frustrated throughout the interaction. Its clear that he doesnt like his job, and it shows in his interactions with customers. Ill be looking for another post office location to mail packages from.
Sayeed was awesome!! I had an issue where a package of mine wasnt delivered due to the carrier being unable to find my address. I couldnt contact the seller to resend it due to COVID-19 (all of their phones were down.)Sayeed was able to intercept the package and hold it at the post office for me before it was sent back to the seller. Thank you guys so much for all your hard work during these tough times!
I was forced to report them to the Post Office Inspector General for lying to me, they claimed they delivered my package, I opened 3 lost package claims, they keep telling me they delivered it and they didnt have it. I contact them for a month about the issue, then the day after my last contact after they tell me they already delivered it, I got an update on my tracking that the package has been sent back to the sender and that it has been waiting in the post office for a month already. So basically they ignored my calls, my visits, and my lost package claims, and LIED to me about delivering it since it has been in their office the entire time. Horrible service, no excuse, this is the 12th time a similar situation has happened to me in the last 6 months.
Very hit and miss and why the 3 stars is present. At times a line will be near the door and they have 2 employees working while others watch looking only for people dropping off prepaid. Ive even been there at times when 1 employee was staffed and the line was long. My main advice is to go when its not busy. Some employees are friendly and others you wonder why they even show up to work.
Whichever words are furthest from human and customer service would describe this place perfectly. I wish there was a way to rate in the negatives. There is only ONE older lady who is incredibly kind and fantastic. The rest seem miserable and seem to take that out on the customers. After experimenting with each interaction, I found that the less customers talk, the nicer they appear. I noticed this was occurring with 3 other people, so I went ahead and went through a transaction without speaking. Thats right, I placed my item on the counter, they weighed it, gave me a price, I paid and left. The employee actually seemed normal. The next day, I started out silent and spoke towards the end, totally changed their mood to demon mode. I suggest going somewhere else for your shipping needs. Paying a little extra for the other guys might be worth it.
They do not answer the phone, they are belligerent if they do answer, and assign blame to the customer when they fail. Not sure why ANYONE continues to use USPS, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Cheap rates=crap service.Been waiting for a guaranteed delivery package since Friday, and their website hasnt updated since Wednesday, when it originally left the carrier. Well done, USPS. Youre actually less reliable than the Pony Express from the 1800s.
Worst experience of my life. Four packages worth $1000 of dollars marked undeliverable and never returned. They are very rude if you go in with a tracking number and ask why didnt you call. When you call it rings 15 times then goes to a fast busy. Might as well tie your package to a pigeon as use these idiots.
Rhonda is rude as hell and likes to throw your parcels about five to eight once you give them to her. The mail carriers constantly lose my mail and its been no less than THREE weeks since my package was lost. Do yourself a favor, use FedEx or use a different branch cause these folks clearly hate their jobs and the customers.
I just received the WORST service at this place! I witnessed the woman in front of me experience great service from Howard. When I approached, he threw the stamps at me and said I had to put them in myself or he wouldn’t send them out. This man is obviously a narcissistic and a racist!! I completely despise coming to this location because of him, but I will continue to come and give him bad reviews until he either gets kicked out or changes his attitude.
Rarely get a pleasant helpful person. When in person.Recently had an issue with a package delivery. A supervisor from the Balcones station left a message and phone number and asked me to return the call. I tried 4 times and the phone rang for over 3 minutes each time. Terrible.
HORRIBLE SERVICE STAY AWAY! This USPS is a total sham! Stay FAR away if you care about your goods or anything you mail. Even when paying for their priority services your mail might as well be garbage. Better off driving to you items to their destinations then lettings this flunkies handle you items. Also for those of you who dont know, be careful with Howard, older black guy who works the counter. He lives in 100% I hate everything mode. He throws things at customers and doesnt care the slightest about customers.
Absolutely worst customer service, these people clearly do not care about their jobs. Had a package due to be delivered today that I needed, however they left me the dreaded pink slip telling me to pick it up at the post office. The slip clearly told me the package was at this location and ready for pickup after 10:30am (I showed up at 5:00pm). The guy looked at it real quick and told me to come back friday, they didnt have it. I asked him what do you mean, it says to pick it up here, so he gives me attitude and says the trucks dont return every five minutes. Apparently their seats are too comfortable for them to get off their ass to even look to see if a package is there, which it was. This is why whenever possible, I always upgrade my orders to UPS, unfortunately some sellers havent grown wise to this horrible waste of space and money that is known as the USPS.
Such an joke, from a professional standpoint. Can confirm, they will not answer the phones for anything. I tried 18 times today to get a hold of someone regarding 2 packages that were marked Undeliverable as addressed even though its the same address that has been in service for over 40 years. I work, as well, and not close to my local post office(this one on Jollyville), and I go to work before they open and leave as theyre closing, so I cant just go in and wait to speak with someone. All I wanted to do was to confirm that they did have my packages there before I made the trip over on my lunch break, so much for that. In a customer service profession, which is what they essentially are, it is never acceptable to just ignore phone calls coming in. Among those calls were times where someone picked up and then hung up(or at least that is what it seemed like), others where the line rang for over 2 minutes and then would disconnect.
The employee Marvalee (black woman) had a rude attitude towards me that i have never experience before at this location. When I came to pick up my package, she ask for my ID. She ask for my current address, I told her I didnt want to say my address out loud for security purpose and I decided to hand her my paper mail address. She roll her eyes and snapped at me and said she cant help me unless i said my address. I said my address to her which i was uncomfortable saying it since there were people around me. Then, she threw my ID at me and I explain to her that it was extremely rude. All she did was laugh and said that I was rude. When I requested for a manager, she didnt want to give my packages to me and force me to wait. I asked the other employee, Marla, to give my package to me and she refused. They punish a customer by not handing a his/her package and force to wait for 30 minutes. I hope the manager check the cameras that she threw my ID at me and have her fired since she doesnt provide customer service and throwing things at a customer. If she continues to work at this location, she will surely cause customer problems and negative reviews. Also, she is causing a security breach by asking customers to say their address out loud. TO THE USPS CORPORATE COMPLAINT: Please fired marvalee for being unprofessional and throwing things at a customer is consider an assault. Her physical actions should never be condoned at any work place.
Be aware that they seem to not want to deliver anything that does not fit in the mailbox. They will claim (untrue) that they tried a delivery and you will spend a lot of time trying online to get it (re)-delivered .. then they claim your item has been lost ..and you hear nothing further. Good luck.
I have been calling for 4 days and nobody ever answers. I moved and filled out a forward mail form, got the confirmation letter to my new address but have not received mail from my old address yet. It has been a month. I made a report and was told that the carrier/ supervisor had 24 hours to get back to me and never heard back. Now I am holding for consumer affairs (10 min so far). I just want to know where my mail is.
In the 12 years I have lived in this zip code, I have had nothing but positive experiences. No lost mail or packages! I believe they say that secure mail delivery is a reflection of the integrity of a country. The USPS makes me proud of my government and country. The fact that they do answer the telephone at the post office and want to help with anything is a huge plus as well. I think we need to support our postal service, local post office and mail person to assure that we will always remain a great country!
I have to give this post office some back up from all of these negative reviews. Ive only ever had to call them twice, and they answered both times. The few times Ive had to go in, the lines have been long, but they seemed to get through them as efficiently as possible. I will say that a couple of members of the staff seem as if they just need to retire and stop being bothered by customers, but most of them are pleasant and helpful. Ive never had any issues with the staff or with them getting my things where they need to go.
My packages were supposed to be delivered almost 6 months ago. Those packages are green cards! And they said that since its been a long time, probably the postwoman (or whoever delivered it) wont remember. Good to know!If I search for the tracking numbers on their website, both were delivered, however we do not have them in our hands. Terrible service. And, they claim no responsibility. WTF?
I never go in to this place but I have never had much to complain about regarding mail service despite it almost being a cliche. I mailed about 6 bills at the same time in the outside mail drive thru drop off. Time passes and none of the checks have cleared. All I want it to get someone on the phone to say oh, yeah, we know there was an incident between these times... SOMETHING. Cant even get someone to pick up a phone. The supposed main site just has circular paths to contact that go nowhere. I see review after review about how bad peoples experiences are here. I would say chances are some Affirmative Action hire took place at the higher level and the moral has hit rock bottom.
This is the most unprofessional business I have come across. I have been trying to retrieve undelivered packages and have had no luck. Nobody answers the phone and when they do (once) the employee was so rude and short with me. I do not know how the management system works here but it seems they will need to take action and start again to rebuild this branch.
I first went to another post office and they didnt have what I needed and assured me this one did. This post office ran efficiently and there were multiple people working at the desk. The line went quickly. The woman who helped us was very sweet and helpful, and they had everything I needed.
I am soooo frustrated. I received a large box that was put in the package locker. However, because there is a lip or rim on the customer side of the locker, there is not enough room to get a grip on the package and pull it out. I sat and waited by the mailboxes for over 30 minutes for the carrier to come and help me get the box. I finally had to leave, so I wrote a note stating that I couldnt get the box out and tried to push it as close to the carrier side of the locker asking if they would please leave the box on my porch. I came back a short while later and naturally they had come after I left. As I walked up to the box, I realized the key was still in the lock but the key for the other locker was gone. So, that meant they hadnt seen my note. So, I then sent an email explaining my problem and asked them to email or call me. Then I tried calling...and calling...and calling,..and calling, etc. probably 6 times. They would not answer the phone and my call was eventually disconnected. This happened every single time. Finally on my 7th try I got a busy signal. So, Im guessing they just took it off the hook. (HA, just realized this is an arcane term to anyone under 35!). In reading through the comments, I see NOT answering the phone seems to be standard operating procedure for this location. I have only had a few problems with this location and one of those was a major issue involving medication from the VA for my Dad. It was addressed to him at my address. However, despite the correct address, they unilaterally made the decision to not leave it because of a different last name. So, the medicine was returned, VA refused to send it back because the post office had stamped it undeliverable as addressed. This, despite the fact that I frequently receive mail for people on my street with a different last name and a different house number. Sometimes it will be for a different last name, correct house number, but wrong street. Thank goodness I live in a neighborhood where we hand deliver the wayward mail to the correct address.
Ive had only BAD experiences with this post office. Every single Amazon prime order would be taken directly to their post office without even making the slighest attempt to deliver the packages to me. Their delivery people fail to do their jobs and Ive had to go the post office to pick up my package every single time I order something online.
I went in to pick up a package and the clerks just began telling me information before looking anything up. I finally got one lady to look into my request and found that my package was at another post office and assumed that I should know that it was held there despite having 3 post offices closer. While talking with the clerk, another walked back and forth in the yelling other information that was not even relevant to my questions. Every time I’m there the experience is poor, filled with sarcasm, chippy answers and just like they are disinterested in helping. I would NOT recommend this location unless you like rude people.
Worst place to have packages sent. Weve been with this place since 2008 and you think they would know our box information and who gets mail there. Ive filled out a form over 10 times.I went in today and knew there were 3 packages but no yellow slip. They told me nothing was delivered. One was actually delivered 9/22 and I still dont have a yellow slip. Its always a waste of time back and forth.Seriously thinking of say screw it. I can loose packages on my own having them delivered to my home :(
The other reviewers here are accurate, there is no sugarcoating these reviews. Simply put they have lost 12 of the 18 packages I have had delivered to me, even had cases where I received one package and not the other. Tracking and calls keep saying they were in mailbox which was not the case only to have them find the package a few weeks later. If they were not in the mailbox then dont tell me they are, not a fan of lying. At the moment lost $80 worth of packages including a valuable electronic. The number is hard to get through, I have day after day sat 30 to 45 mins of continuous dialing just to reach them. The saving grace is they found some packages, but 2/3 of my packages shouldnt have got misplaced or missing in the first place.
Never had a problem with this location. Sure the line gets long but that is because the customer service at the other post offices in the area is so bad! The Lake Creek Parkway location is horrible!!! These employees are much more helpful and help me with a smile on their face. I know post offices are not know for customer service, but these folk have done a great job for me.For all you people complaining about them not answering the phone, why dont you go into the office. You can see there is a line of people and the employees are doing everything they can to help the customers that have come to see them in person. I love to see the phone ring and them ignore it because they are trying to help the people in the office, not the idiots that want to hide behind the phone and complain.
You cannot even imagine the level of laziness and sheer repugnant personality of this station. I stopped coming to this location months back because of Howard, he is so lazy and unpardonable and exactly what everyone thinks of as a lazy government employee only doing the minimum required. Then comes the phone bank the post office has set up, not a single way to contact anyone about these issues. It’s a wonder the post office stays open even with loosing billions of dollars a year.I will be switching to another postal service today.Howard go ahead and retire already for the betterment of the post office.
This post office is the worst. Was trying to track down a parcel that was scanned delivered, but customer states he never received it. So I call this post office which would have delivered it, and they just let the phone ring or hang up, and then finally i keep calling and they answer and are absolutely no help at all. Very disappointing, and now we have a charge back for non-delivery thanks to this post office. Will definitely be filing a report against this office to consumer affairs.
Worst USPS location I’ve used in Austin. Hostile employees who show a lot of contempt for their customers. No wonder it’s so poorly rated. I came in today in abject pain and was just trying to get through the transaction without passing out. Was I at my best? No. But the staff was as rude as other reviews here mention. At least there is camaraderie in knowing I am not alone in my experience.
Ever since amazon has started using usps my 2 day delivery packages have taken a minimum of 10 days to get to me. Whomever services the arboretum area is horrible at their job. They dont answer the phone, make poor excuses, and refuse to deliver packages on time. Ive made several formal complaints but nothing is ever foxed. This office needs to be gutted and replaced with people who actually work.
Theres nothing redeemable about USPS.I went to their website which showed there was an attempted delivery at 10am (there wasnt) and that they left a shipping notice (they didnt). I went to their website to find where my package was (you cant figure out what post office your package is at online).I had to drive to a different post office to ask them in person where it was at, and they said this post office. This one is hard to find and very slow-moving and they dont answer the phone. Also take into account that no USPS will tape your packages for you (you have to either buy a whole roll of tape there or pay for premium shipping). Like I said, there is nothing redeemable about USPS.I gave two stars because its not specifically this USPS thats at fault. Its the entire system. Plus, they have Jimi Hendrix stamps, so thats cool.
I went in to pick up a package, because I wasnt around when it got delivered. The lady at the counter was very friendly, and she went in back to find my package and came back a few minutes later. I had a few other questions about moving and she was happy to answer.Side note: theyre open an hour later than the post office at my old house, which is absolutely fantastic for me and anybody else who works during the day. (This is the internet, so you couldnt hear the spite I felt typing that. What kind of post office closes at 4:30? This place closes at 5:30, which is MUCH more reasonable)Normally I wouldnt have posted such a mundane review, but this post office had a review of 1.7 when I was checking their Saturday hours, and I felt like that was completely unfair.
Okay so I just left this place and tried to follow the survey link on the receipt but it’s not very clear and it’s hard to leave actual feedback through that method. So here I am. Clerk 11, I believe her name is Malory, was amazing. Went above and beyond to assist me with correctly mailing out my package and I believe her work needs recognition. Along with the rest of the ladies there. They’re all amazing and helpful.
As a visitor to Austin, i had to make a trip to the post office. What a terrible experience! The man that helped us was rude and made us feel stupid. Terrible customer service. He seemed to be very unhappy we were there.I apologize for bothering him and thank him for his help. He gave me a dirty look.I have a brother in law whose a postal man. I know how hard he works, so I try to be conscientious of that when I visit the post office, but this guy was awful! As I paid attention to the other post workers they were just as bad. How sad! I hope I never have to return there again. Im so thankful our post office workers are kind and friendly.
Today was the last straw! Whenever we have a substitute carrier on our route, our outgoing packages do not get picked up. I push them to the front of the mailbox where mailman can clearly see them when he opens the box. He had to move them today to put our incoming mail in the box, but was too lazy to read the labels on the two outgoing packages and pick them up. My husband also saw him deliver a package to us by throwing it on the front porch from the sidewalk. I am going to call the post office, but I know it wont do any good.
This is the worst of all around! My package has been misplaced by the usps and I have been there 4 times! The African-American lady was supposed to call me every and each of the times telling me where is my package and she is just straight up playing right in my face. She gave me her supervisors # and that guy Jessie apparently never gets to work, either he is imaginary or hasnt learned to pick up a phone. I am disgusted with this government service!
I got a notice saying i needed to sign for a package, so i drove 15 min to the post office (which google had the directions wrong, which added time), only to be told by the desk person i dont look at phones when i tried to show her the pdf of my new ID. I also had my social security card, insurance card, 5 credit cards and several other forms of ID on me. She told me i would have to find somewhere to print the ID and come back. Seriously? In 2020, i cant show a pdf on my phone? Besides, not anywhere on the notice left in my locked mailbox does it say, must show ID.
UPDATE: My packages arrived just like I thought they would when the guy told me I had no chance of getting them because my address change didnt go through. So he was having a bad day and lying to me.Original Review: I had a quick question about address changes and the guy didnt understand my question. Became immediately condescending and insulting when I had to explain the question. Gave me information that was different from the USPS website and when I questioned him he got even more pissy. If you hate your job that much then maybe its time for a different line of work. Jerk
This is a bigger post office than some others in the area. The self service package machine was great to use especially with an employee right there to help you. Would strongly suggest it if you have an easy package. The line can get really long and the wait can be 15+ mins. The people are friendly but you can tell they dont want to be there. No real need to wait in the long line if you have a simple package or a letter.
I’ve been a customer here for the last 5 years, and whenever I visited I had HORRIBLE experiences. ALL the staff here seem to hate their job and every minute of it. They are always very rude, unfriendly, and make me stupid. I dont understand why the USPS would not take action to all the reviews mentioned here. Fortunately I am moving to another area soon. Bye bye, the worst USPS in the States.
I had lost a receipt, containing my tracking information, which I desperately needed! I went, the line was short and moved fast. Wendell informed me that Cindy could help me if anyone could.. With a bit of information she was able to locate and reprint my receipt! They were so happy to help and I was/ am so grateful! Great staff, they were so kind and helpful! 5 stars from me!
Postal service wonders why they are losing business and having to close offices???? Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. I stood in line for 45 minutes to mail one envelope because they only have one person working the front while two other employees were standing in the back WATCHING HER and the line continued to grow OUT THE DOOR! Then a week later I try to call them after checking the tracking on a pkg I was waiting for. Tracking says Post Office accepted it for UPS on the 12th and today is the 22nd! Several calls made to them today and no one answers the phone at the Post Office. So, I guess I will have to go back there and stand in line for another hour to see if they can locate my package. This is ridiculous!
Totally incompetent! Told two completely different things by staff. When I asked which one was correct they both just walked away without answering. Moved into their area. Filed a change of address. Stopped delivering my mail after one week. They dont know why and cant answer any questions. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was told none were available. This post office is a joke! Told to call to speak to a supervisor and my mail carrier. They never answer the phone.
Ive found the most miserable USPS postal worker in Austin. I dont blame him--after all, Trump is our President. All kidding aside, I would avoid the male worker, second counter from the left. When asked a question, he finds giving laconic responses to customers sufficient. When posed the question again, he thinks repeating the exact same response addresses the issue. Due his unwillingness to help and lack of customer service, I ended up spending a couple dollars more in packaging which could have been avoided with a different employee. Instead of wasting my time arguing, I decided to get the difference back with my credit card company.
Horrible service as usual! Carrier misdelivered a package and they never found it. Had me file a claim and now the claim got denied because even though she misdelivered it, its showing delivered. Maybe she delivered it to her home! Called to try and get this rectified and of course they dont answer the phone. So happy FedEx is now offering flat/one rate service!
They did not issue the forwarding instructions correctly or on the right date. When I called to remedy the situation, they never answered their phone despite being during operating hours. On top of that, they lost a certified letter that was so poorly filled out that they were not able to read the tracking number, who sent it; nor was it inclusive to all who were able to pick it up.
Ive only had to go in and wait in line for various reasons twice, but both times were rather pleasant experiences, considering they were at the post office. Both times I was helped by the same gentleman and he was very nice. Probably the best experience Ive had at any post office, ever.
There is no one available to answer the phone. If you call, they will hang up on you without talking and then leave the phone off the hook. They repeatedly leave the wrong mail in other peoples boxes. So they are either ignorant or negligent. Either way, this is not a place of business. Its a place for classless wastes to milk a clock and earn money that they do not deserve. They have no pride in what they do. They are terrible people who have no place in society.
Oh man this is the worst usps store I have been to. They have by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No matter what age the customer is their is no smile, no thank you, no hello how is your day. This is the last time I am coming to this location and I like 2 minutes away I rather drive 15 minutes and receive better customer service.
The US postal service has to be the most poorly run government organization. The wait at any location is ridiculous. This place is no different. I have no idea why its even so slow. I see so many inefficiencies that can be easily rectified, but I guess you cant teach old dogs new tricks.Too many things to say about this place, but if you value your time, use an alternative method.
This post office delivers mail to my street. Every other day, I have wrong mail in my mailbox which I have to take to my neighbors. On several occasions, they delivered my packages to another street with the same number as my house. Not sure what these guys are smoking. Terrible service. No wonder U.S. post service is about to go out of business.
Absolutely incompetent staff. Took 30 minutes for one customer timed for a $2.49 purchase. Moved like sloths. Then with the line going out the door, one of two desk clerks goes on break... This was a weekend with a short business day. Also unable to problem solve and find an address.Replace entire staff.
I had to pick up some packages which should have come to my door. When I got there we figured one of them was still on the truck. After I left, Nick drove it out to my apartment on his own time, and carried it up the stairs. He turned my frown upside down :D Thanks, Nick!
This lady refuses to deliver packages!! Does not even attempt to view if any lockers are available at the apartments I live at and/or deliver to door, even if its requested. She arrives to drop off mail around 1 pm but yet its scanned here that she attempted at 8:12 am. This is unacceptable and unprofessional, they need to do their job.I paid to get packages delivered, not for me to go to the post office to pick up!
This post office straight up lies. They constantly leave notes in my mailbox saying a package is in my apartments front office. It is NEVER there. Something it will magically appear in a day or two. Sometimes, its lost forever. Common sense would dictate the package MUST have been on the delivery truck for the carrier to have left a handwritten note saying it was in the office. They are just too lazy or stupid to do their jobs. Also, they often fail to properly lock large panels at our apartment complex, exposing approximately 20 individual mailboxes to thieves. This can result in valuable items being stolen or even identity theft. If you have a problem, dont bother calling them because they never seem to anwser the phones.I work for a large hi-tech company in the area and they have similar complaints about their experiences with this location.
Two weeks ago I was helped by a USPS employee here. They put the wrong postage on my package and it got returned to me. Today I went in to remail my package and the employee was rude and unhelpful. Im still not confident that my priority mail will get to its destination.
I just heard two totally diametrically opposed pieces of information from two different employees, have no idea what actually happened to my mail, and am now Im fairly confident that in the year 2017 no one actually understands what happens to physical mail or how it actually gets to your door. But the guys on the phone were very polite.
We live in Avery Ranch and of late, the mis-directed mail has come to epidemic portions. This is absolute BS, but I guess it is what I would expect from the USPS.Please remove the idiot that is serving Avery Ranch. Oh......thats right, they are government employees that keep their job no matter how bad they screw up.Ive had to resort to direct billing to ensure my bills get paid.
The people who work here are extremely lazy. They will lie straight to your face and/or try and push the blame on other providers (UPS/FedEx) so that they dont have to go through the hassle of moving their fat sausage fingers across their keyboards to look some thing up, or even worse have to get out their chairs and actually use their legs to walk around. Im not speaking of just on instance either. Ive had at least 5 issues where Ive been blatantly lied to or told the mistake was someone else fault when that wasnt the case. If this were a regular business Id implore you to consider going somewhere else. But since that is not even an option I guess thats the kind of service to expect when you give people cushy government jobs and then unionize them so its almost impossible for them to get fired.
The rugged looking old and miserable looking black man working at noon on 08/30/2016, was extremely rude and unprofessional. I dropped of a pckg and when I asked for tape he snapped back that , we dont supply tape ! He couldnt scan my pckg and claimed the scanner cant scan big letters and numbers. Tried to to take a pic of the pckg for tracking, he said I needed to walk out of the building to do so. I understand its company policy but courtesy and professionalism is as important. Its no wonder post offices are turning out to be a thing of the past. Its because of this kind of ancient and uncivilized behavior that nobody is associated with USPS anymore.!!
Stood in line - needed to pick up pkg. When got to person at counter, was told to get in pick up line (which wasnt evident since no one was at the pick up counter). Waited at pick up counter 15 minutes - no one showed up and 2 booths were just standing there without customers. Got pissed and told them to get my damned pkg which they did. Left steaming. NO customer service.
I put a hold on my mail for 15 days in August. I did not receive my held mail on my return. Now, in Oct. I am receiving calls from various institutions saying that my mail is being returned back to them! Bills have slipped through and not being paid, finance charges are being slapped on and account closing notifications are being emailed to me !
I have not encountered any issues with this post office until now. The issue I have seems to be consistent with other reviews here. They do not answer the phone; and after maybe five minutes of letting it ring, I was surprised to here a busy tone. Almost as if the phone had been disconnected... hmm... I honestly cant say that I have ever let a phone ring that long so that could be normal. At any rate W.T.F!
This post office returned my mail to me claimed my friend did not live at her address. (she has successfully received packages and mail from other sources, so this was a LIE). But worse than that, they returned her letter to me TORN and with the gift I sent her STOLEN. I paid extra to get a non-machinable stamp placed on my letter, and it was MUTILATED.I do NOT appreciate being stolen from.
I have to disagree that the employees there dont care. They just always seem super busy, but, they have always been courteous and helpful to me. Sometimes you have to let the phone ring quite awhile before they can answer. I suspect that this can be a tough job with lots of pressure and rudeness from the public as well.
I lost a packet before that sent to this facility before coming out for deliver to my oofice. The tracking stated that Delivered but the mail person of my office never got it. I came there couple times but they could not figure where it was.The same thing happening yesterday, another packet with Tracking said Delivered but I did not get it.Call the office many times but nobody pick up the phone.
This office is emblematic of the entire civil service (racket). Go into the location and look at their faces, then watch them work (*cough), I guess thats what you could call it. Seriously??? This is why the USPS needs to be privatized, if youre so PUT OUT to answer a question, a phone, service those paying your f@#king salary then LEAVE find another cushy job where you literally can only complete a single task at a time and TOTALLY FREAK OUT if asked a question while putting a label on a package. You want to understand what is !!!!WRONG WITH AMERICA!!!! go to this office and see what entitlement looks like... They might fool you your initial visit but make just one more trip or pay attention to the service being provided other clients and you will understand why I sincerely hope this POS service dies and all those that have been living high off the hog DOING NOTHING stand in lines waiting for some self entitled POS to give them SH%ty service all the while looking like they are going to commit suicide/shoot you in the face if you do anything but hand them money and move on.
This is the worst possible operations I ever had to deal with. this location refuses to answer the phone and if they do pick up the phone and hang it back up without answering I do believe if we privatise the service the service quality will increase immensely so if you read this message get with your friends ,neighbors, family and lets privatise the post office ASAP so we can receive the service we pay for.
The only way you will stop bad service is to document. via video and images. POST IMAGES AND YouTube video link here.My mail man is playing game with my mail now and holding it hostage because I had the nerve to report and complain. I am certain that is illegal and considering legal actionThese guys are playing God w/ our lives and getting. Away w/ it.START TAKING VIDEO AND IMAGES AND POST ON FACEBOOK AND YOUTUBE they will stop the bad service only then.

2022-05-28Easily the most incompetent post office Ive ever been to. Went in simply to get a Priority Mail box. There were none on the rack where youd find them. Now, this is a large facility so one would think these would be readily available, but these things happen.Since it wasnt busy, I asked at the counter and the clerk looked at me like he didnt know what I was talking about. I asked again but Im not sure how to say, Im looking for a Priority Mail medium box so I can ship something any other way. After a long silence, I was directed to some envelopes I said, no, I needed a medium box. Again, silence as if he didnt know what I was asking. So I left without the box. Is this a training facility?

2022-04-18I am new to Texas and have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism in my entire life. Been waiting for a package for over 2 weeks to the point I had them hold it at the post office so I could pick it up. They never answer the phone and have literally 1 person running the desk while there’s 10 people in the back sounding like they are having a party. If you need your mail on time you’re better off paying whatever extra fee you have to this post office is a joke they might as well close it down.

2021-03-09This is the worst post office. The process to pick up mail is the most time consuming inefficient process. There is one person helping a line of 30+ people that are picking up packages while 3 other employees sit with zero people in line to drop off mail. The three employees are chatting amongst themselves while the 1 single employee is helping everyone. When asked if the other employees can help, they refuse and tell me to get back in line. Waiting since 9:45am. It’s now 10:34am and still have 4 people in front of me. The employee that told me he would not help said he was injured, walked away from his window for drop off mail and never came back after he told me to get back in my line for mail pick up. Worst customer service. The phone is also never answered, ever. Says an hour wait but never answered. The woman helping my line was very kind and apologized for the long wait. She likely gets paid the same or less than the male employee for doing all the work.

2022-04-18Theyve driven me to tears multiple times out of frustration. I moved into my building 4 months ago & have yet to receive my mail key. Packages we ordered over 3 months ago are not there when we go to pick up our mail. Today they told me theres no spot for my held mail in the back even though Ive picked up my mail multiple times. The times I have picked it up, its mail I should have received in January.Im tired of the attitude, incompetence & clear lack of a system and/or proper training every single time I walk in the door. I have filled out a form for my key & 2 rush order forms & they tried to have me fill out a third today. Get it together. This is not acceptable at all.

2022-04-18DO NOT DROP YOUR MAIL OFF AT THIS POST OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. I dropped my Save the Dates in the mail drop at this post office and they NEVER made it to ANYONE! Not only am I having to pay for the invites again but I also have to purchase envelopes and stamps all over again. When I asked to speak with a manager he walked out looking like he hated his job and didnt want to speak with me. The only thing he could tell me was that Im sorry but we are not responsible for anything that is lost, stolen or damaged and there is nothing he could do. NOT EVEN REIMBURSE ME FOR THE STAMPS. He just kept saying sorry theres nothing I can do per Fed. regulation. NO HELP AT ALL! I will tell everyone I know to stay away from this awful post office. Do not go here if you want your mail to make it to the end receiver b/c IT WONT!

2022-06-21Rudest, laziest, most condescending employees I’ve ever dealt with in a post office. They will set on your packages for weeks, if they decide NOT to steal them. No wonder the postal service is dying. Use fedex, ups, dhl, or a carrier pigeon before using the USPS.

2022-01-31Half the time you dont know if theyre going to deliver your mail or just steal it. Sometimes you just wont get your bills. Its been like 2 months since the last time Ive seen my electricity bill. Driver sat before my mailbox for over 5 minutes and then magically, My yearly Va disability letter was open. Probably thought there was a check in there. Sorry direct deposit a-hole, plus life lock so my social is useless to you. You cant call customer service. You cant actually get a hold of a person, so round and round in circles you go. Unless you need the most basic of the basic information. Once you actually get in there, theres only ever one or two people working so theres always a line. Nobody seems to actually want to work there, let alone do their jobs. Its sad when you cant even trust the post office to not tamper with your mail. Im in the process of informing all the appropriate authorities. Make sure to protect yourself against them. Certainly do not entrust them with anything valuable or important.

2022-03-28Absolutely the worst post office, the rudest employees I have ever dealt with at any facility. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra distance to a different post office you will be happy you did.

2022-01-25Customer service is non-existent. Went to this to check on a missing package which showed up on Informed Delivery but was never delivered. The woman at the customer inquiry blatantly told she cant help me before even I could finish my query!
