United States Postal Service in other cities:
I get my packages delivered to my apartment complex and this is the third time I’ve had to go up to the post office just because they have given me the wrong key to open the package mailbox… it’s so annoying, I don’t know where they are getting these keys from or what they go to but it’s never my mailbox.
Our mail service is like an Easter egg hunt...did they deliver to our street mailbox, in the grass beside the mailbox, take it back to the post office because they cant figure out how to deliver it to the street mailbox, or did they stick it in our post office box even though that wasnt the delivery address? Its like their version of Wheres Waldo. Ive brought this issue up several times since the purpose of street mailbox or street address delivery is to avoid a post office line during a pandemic....but...every ...single...time...it falls on deaf ears and nothing is done about it.11/15/2091: Is there a way to rate them a minus star review? My husband went to the post office today. We had no notice about a package that seems to have been brought back to the post office instead of putting it in our mailbox (I only know this from tracking, not a notice)..and we had no package notice so my husband didnt think it was there. SO...where is my package? Another easter egg hunt.
Stereotypically bad United States Post office. Only one of the three customer service reps was remotely friendly and/or helpful. Took 15 minutes to get a supervisor involved with my problem. Granted once the supervisor talked to me it got straightened out in a few minutes. USPS website says one thing, this post office says something else. Comically bad. And no self-service machine? What decade are we in the 90s?
The individuals working the counter in this post office are great: always smiling, always helpful. BUT.... the mail delivery to the residents this location claims to serve is AWFUL. I am 50 years old and have had plenty of residences during my life, and I have never seen such poor service from a post office as I have with this one over the last few years: once I recd about 25 pieces of mail from 6-7 different addresses, none of them mine! How does THAT happen? I have seen the ENTIRE back side of the community mailboxes just left open after the carrier was done. I routinely get individual pieces of mail that are not addressed to me or my home; and now I have a USPS delivery confirmation notification for a valuable package I was expecting and yet my mailbox was completely empty the day it supposedly came (no letters, no bills, no junk mail, and definitely no package). And of course the sender wont replace it because they have proof it was delivered. And I see similar experiences posted to my neighborhoods Facebook page all the time, so I know its not just me and just a few incidents here and there. This is business as usual for this location. Oh, and good luck calling to discuss your issue. The phone just rings and rings. Someone should seriously lose their job. I wish I had an alternative because I would switch in a heartbeat. From now on I will check when ordering by mail and only order from vendors that guarantee shipment OTHER than USPS.
We ordered a 56 pound of dog food that was supposed to be delivered today. Instead we received a notice that it could not be delivered because it could not fit in the mailbox. We have a community mailbox. In what world does a 56 pound bag of dog food ever fit in a community mailbox? The postal worker actually filled out a slip asking where we would like it delivered because they couldn’t fit it in the mailbox. Please tell me they didn’t actually try to make it fit?!?! I mean, we probably want the huge bag of dog food on our doorstep along with all of the other packages that normally get dropped off when they are too large. The fact that someone would actually take time to fill out the slip, leave it in the mailbox and ask us to reschedule delivery instead of just dropping off at the door is beyond me. Absolutely no common sense. The list could go on and on about this particular post office.
I dont want to use the cliché If I could give less than one star, I would line, but literally. Leander post office is useless. They constantly deliver packages to the wrong address, and thats if they ever deliver them at all. Youll actually be lucky if your mail was just delivered to the wrong address and not lost completely. Dont bother calling because they wont answer. Since they cause the same problems repeatedly, they most likely already know its going to be about one of 3 or 4 things and dont want to deal with it.
First, if I had been able to speak to a person at the post office when I called 3 times, I would have ended it there. I had an Amazon return, with a printed label and instructions to return to USPS. When I walked up to the counter, I was met with an eye roll and then both clerks present began to make comments on how Amazon always tries to get by without paying, that the box was too big, and I should have taken it to UPS or Fed Ex. The whole 3 minute interaction was then seeming to be annoyed and complaining. As a customer, I don’t need to hear this. Take it up in the break room or with your boss. I have always tried to support the PO, for a variety of reasons, but I will only do the bare minimum of business necessary.
Everyone I know in Leander has had issues with this post office and they don’t seem to care at all. Such a shame. The carrier for our route is not only terrible at his job but has zero people skills. He lies about deliveries and really should have been fired years ago.
With the exception of our new mail carrier, this Post Office has been terrible for years, as noted by all the complaints. The problem has got to be with the manager. Otherwise there wouldnt consistently be so many issues which go unaddressed. If I have something important to mail, I go to the Post Office in the next town. Not directly related, two folks who work behind the counter in this Leander Post Office refuse to wear masks, even after being requested by customers.
The worst! Have lost my packages a couple of times or placed them in the incorrect mailbox in our apartment complex. Packages that are worth $500, seriously fed up with them. Whoever is in charge of delivering mail on bagdad rd and Osage needs to be more organized or just look for a different job!
I dont know how the postman/woman deliver envelops to wrong address. they dont even attention to address!!!!! my nice neighbor brought me my envelops and boxes which was delivered to her home! It happened many times and they need to talk to their associates to fix it.
We moved to Leander recently. We love staying here. USPS is probably the only thing that sucks big time here. They have changed our locks without mentioning. When asked they provided one key and told its the last one, they asked us to take duplicate ourselves. Asked them on tracking once, they promised they will get back, collected my details, never heard back. They have failed to provide refund when requested and then I lost my money and package. They hardly pick your calls as well. I wish USPS leander would just close down, not worth keeping it open.
I wish I could give them zero stars. My mail has been consistently delivered to the wrong address for the entire seven years that I have lived here. The latest package has me out almost $400.00.The post master told me that he is trying to make a positive change, and at the same time telling me that his hands are tied and he cannot retrieve my package.I don’t see any positive change in that, so do yourself a favor, and avoid this post office. You will be glad you did!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Recently received an important request from Social Security. It was mailed on feb 5th and I received it Feb 20th. Even with our ice event....this is no excuse. I have had numerous gift cards that Ive mailed disappear and never received. Very incompetent. I refuse to use this location for drop off anymore. Sadly, I cannot control delivery. Seriously Leander....get it together.
Absolutely unacceptable. Their slow automated system is very upsetting, making you press 10 different numbers before you can get through to speak to anybody. Then it says your wait time is greater than ONE HOUR. I can help you faster with our automated system. Yeah right, I highly doubt that. All of our mail has been getting delivered to our neighbor and vice versa for weeks. Totally wrong and the fact that you cant get through to a LIVE HUMAN to discuss this is beyond unprofessional.
For days Ive tried making contact by telephone. No one has EVER answered the phone and Ive had to drive there to discuss a lost package. Actually a package that was delivered to my local post office almost across the street to me but was put on a truck to Leander where SOMEONE having the tracking number was able to pick it up within 45 minutes of it arriving there...I had been waiting for it to arrive at MY mailbox that day as I had followed the tracking which stated delivered. How someone got my tracking number and knew to go to the Leander post office is still not making sense. Im hoping this gets sorted out before I contact Post Master or possibly the police for a theft of my goods.
I called to see what happened with two packages that supposedly was delivered, and it wasnt in my mail box either in my door steps. When I called I had the privilege to talk with Pam, which happened to be the most lovely, sweet and efficient person I have ever encountered in any USPS. In less than 10 minutes I had somebody ringing my bell and delivering the two packages. What an experience! Thanks Pam for all your hard working to make sure we receive our mail.
Packages arrive late or not at all. Also, after previous owner forwarded mail we still receive a lot of their items as well as items of our neighbors. Probably the worst postal service I have received anywhere. I do agree that the folks at the counter in the office are great though. Unfortunately they are over 20 miles away, and I can’t pick up my mail at either of the two closer offices. Makes no sense.
I have checked the mail all day long and been home. The Postal Service tells me that according to tracking my package has been delivered today. I have gotten no mail delivery today. What in the world is going on with the Leander post office and/or Lago Vista delivery person?
If I could give zero stars I would. All of these negative reviews have been my experience with this post office for 14 years. I called today about another package that wasnt delivered and it took five tries of calling to get a real person. When I finally did, I was greeted with nothing but sighs and negativity. I was told that if it says delivered, then it was. I continue to get mail for someone else in my box daily despite speaking directly with the carrier about it. If anything promotes online delivery, its this post office.
I thought I was the only one getting others mail or them getting mine. The two years Ive been here Im either taking someones mail to them or them bringing mine. Complained over 8 times at the counter because I started taking peoples mail to the office so I could prove Im receiving others mail. Just had me fill out complaint form twice and said they would talk to carrier. It finally stopped for a while but lately Ive gotten two peoples packages some mail and a card saying I have a package there for 3 days. No delivery to me. I dont understand why there is no reprimand and correction to this office, as many complaints I see. Thats one of the reasons people can face credit fraud. Someone dishonest receiving your mail.
I had a package I was expecting that was misdelivered. I went to the post office and asked about it and I thought it was just lost by the time I left. Got a call from the site supervisor about an hour later telling me they found it (wrong slot) and redelivered it. No pin intended but they really delivered this time.
I would give it zero stars if that were an option. I cannot tell you how many packages have been lost, misplaced, say delivered yet werent actually in my box, etc. The latest issue is they have given me a key that wont open the box where my package is and they cant seem to get my package out of the box now. How is that even possible? They tell me to call the office in the morning each time to speak with someone, yet the line is forever busy. They are terrible and I am dont see how they are allowed to mishandle mail so consistently and not be held accountable.
It takes a high level of commitment to deliver our mail out in the heat and cold no matter what the weather is doing. Thankfully, our mail carriers have high standards. They arent just tossing out the mail and calling it delivered. They work hard and deserve our respect and gratitude. Way to go Leander Post Office! Keep up the good work.
Agree with everyone posting 1 star. Wish there was a no star option. Rude! If this is where my tax money is going, to fund services like this, I want my money back. They have no clue what they are doing, missing mail, defunct system. Its funny how the government doesnt close this place. They want our taxes to be paid on time yet they cant do a simple job.
Terrible service. always delivered packages to the wrong address, at one point the office manager claimed that they delivered correctly until I informed him that my cameras didnt capture it. He ride way told me that they delivered to a wrong address ( that was quick) and ask me to go myself to retrieve my package. The whole Neighborhood experiencing the same issue.
CHANGING REVIEW FROM a 1 STAR TO a 3 Heres why.One word and it should sum it up. UNION Post office is struggling to get people to work for them so they have to contract out union workers that play by their own rules. And we have to suffer for it. Get in your car and have your speedometer ready WHY? to see if you are a half a mile from your mailbox. This stupid rule applies to a rural area. I live exactly 5 minuets from the Leander Post Office. It is a new construction community. I do not live on a dirt road out in B.F.E. right here in Leander. But this rules applies. I do live under a half mile from post box so at least now I HOPE I can have my packages delivered. But the house next to me? Right next door? They have to go and pick theirs up from the post office every single time. How insane is that? I personally order a lot from Amazon every month and I have an auto shipment every 14 days from somewhere else that requires signature. In the past week I have spent 3 days in at the Post Office more than I ever care to spend. The line is always long now I know why. However, the people that work there are truly sorry stated if they could get some people to actually work that is not UNION they would solve the problem. As it is contractors that are UNION dictating how we get our mail is the way it is right now. This is why I changed the rating because every single one of them behind the counter knew this sucked for us and they want it changed.Until then I have opted for my Auto-ship delivery be delivered by UPS I am paying more but it is worth it not to have to go to the Post office. I am hoping Amazon will realize the problem with this and give us the opportunity to change our shipping carrier.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Had a package that was suppose to be delivered with signature required. The day it was to be delivered stated on their website it was out for delivery. Never showed. My husband and I work from home so we were home all day. Made sure we were home because it required signature. Package never showed checked the website again stated it was delayed in delivery. Waited....waited...waited...NEVER showed up. Went down to the post office low and behold it is there waiting for ME to pick it up. A shame I have to hunt down and find my package like I am on a freaking scavenger hunt. I asked why my postman did not deliver it. Excuse was well it requires a signature. Uhhhh....YEAH I was home. AND? There was no paper left on my door stating they TRIED to deliver. That is all I am saying about that. Then yesterday received several texts from Amazon stating I had packages delivered to my mailbox. Go and check mail, yeah there was 2 packages in there one to me and one to my neighbor. I am missing 4 items. I was hoping my neighbor got my mine...NOPE because she would have given me my packages. However I do not have faith in others to do the right thing. I call the Leander Post Office to find out why it is soooooo hard to deliver mail and packages to me. It rings, and rings, and rings, and rings till it is disconnected with a busy signal. Who ever is delivering the mail GET A CLUE or GET ANOTHER JOB. I will BEG AMAZON to stop using USPS. I will even forfeit my free shipping to get another carrier.
I requested a redelivery if my package..got a confirmation email and never got my package. I used to live in Harker Heights and USPS service was great there! They called me and got my package delivered the same day. This USPS in leander, still waiting on a response...disappointing
Ive gone my entire life never having an issue with the USPS - in fact Ive only had great service from them. That is, until I moved to Leander. The Leander post office is shockingly bad at performing the basic functions of delivering mail. Its routine for me to get my neighbors mail in my box - mail that often looks important - which I will have to deliver to them myself. I can only wonder if mail sent to me is going to someone else and promptly being thrown away or lost.More often than not they will mark a package as delivered to a parcel box but actually bring it a day or two later and Ive had multiple packages not even be delivered at all (Im not sure if its outright theft by employees or just complete incompetence). The kicker is that theres not even a decent way to file a complaint as any contact with them feels like throwing a message in a bottle into the vast ocean and hoping youll get a reply. So here I am, writing a lousy review on Google because thats about all I can do. That and beg Amazon to not send me anything via USPS.
This is why the government shouldn’t be in the business of customer service. Because customer service is non existent. Employees see a large line going out the door, but nope, only two employees at the front desk. One comes in and just drinks her drink slowly while taking her time around looking and fiddiling around the desk till finally accepting customers. Another employee comes out and only will take customers that have prepaid packages, no one has any so she goes back to the back room and never came back. It’s like no one cares.
I was literally there two minutes before 5pm to pick up a certified letter, and showed them it was the last day to pick it up before it got sent to dead mail but they did not care. They told me it was after 5pm, yet when I ran to the door a man was telling them he locked his keys in his mailbox, so I WAS THERE BEFORE 5PM but thanks to them talking to him forever I got booted out the door. Now my mail is gone forever and it was pretty damn important! Thanks for nothing rude people!!! It literally takes two seconds to grab something like that!
First I wish to point out the most of the people working the counters and one of the supervisors, who is a woman, are very good - excellent in fact.It seems that the problems I am having are occuring behind the scenes and with delivery and receipt of shipments. They constantly lose packages I ship and ones I am to receive - Over 5% are being lost. Cram items into my mailbox that are too big to get out from the customer keyed side. Priority & Insured Items that get lost have tracking records showing they were delivered - so they will not pay insurance claims. So who is getting them? Are they being stolen internally by USPS employees? The occurance of losses seems so frequent that no other explanation I can think of, would account for such a high percentage of losses. Also charged a late fee on my rental box without having given any notice that the box rental was due - only a government agency (who thinks they are above human decency and the law) would do that.I hold the supervisors responsible for these kinds of things - they have been anything but stellar (significantly apathetic is a better description) in responding to my concerns. Other people who walk in with the same problems get treated the same way.
They continue to loose my packages. This is the third time its happened to me since I moved to Leander, and we have only been there for a few months! When I call to inquire about my items they always say they will call me back and they never do. After hounding them they were able to find two pf my packages (delivered to the wrong mailbox and the man I spoke to blamed it on the new girl who works on Thursdays), but this last package they havent found and I cant even get a hold of them now. That is money that I spent and items lost. Not even sure what to do from here......
I called 7 times without an answer, on the 8th they picked up the phone and set it on the counter. I kept saying “hello” - I could hear them laughing and chatting in the background. After several minutes of trying to get their attention they just hung up the phone. The reason I was calling is the threatening note left in my mailbox saying they would have the Post Master speak with me if I attempted to write on the paper inside MY mailbox. I had crossed off my in-laws names (they had stayed with us for a month waiting to close on their house). I cannot believe how rude the people are at this location.
The line was long, in fact it was out the door. Clerk # 07 worked her butt off. She checked out a 5 times the amount of people compared to her two sloth coworkers. They need to clone clerk #07. If they cloned her and made the other employees work as hard, the post office would have more business. I was this close to going to a UPS store. To the overlords at the post office clerk #07 needs a raise!
We had a mail order prescription that all tracking services showed as being delivered two days ago. Since we hadnt received it I called the Leander PO directly and talked to a lady named Dorothy. I explained what the problem was and she tried to track it from her end without success. She told me she would personally try to find it. She drove in her personal car to our community mailboxes (no short distance) and searched thorough all the mailboxes in the rain until she found it in the wrong mail slot - then delivered it to our door. She apologized several times for the mistake (not her fault). While the mistaken location was an inconvenience to us, Dorothy went above and beyond to correct it. Thank you Dorothy!
I would avoid using the post office all together. They continue to return my mail to sender after 4 personal visits to the post office to explain the situation. One discussion was with a manager/supervisor who assured that the issue would be corrected.I would also strongly encourage that you do not complain to them because it appears that you get put on a naughty list similar to how the VA has their special lists. Our situation has only gotten worse and we no longer receive any mail addressed to us with the exception of our City of Leander Utility bill. All of our tax documents were returned to sender this year and we had several services canceled before we were able to set up on-line statements. Weve lived in the house for 9 months and it has been a complete headache and only gotten worse.Avoid them at all costs and definitely do not complain regarding any issues - they will only make them worse!
Once again Leander post office wont answer the telephone to answer a simple question about an undelivered package. You have to spend $5 in gas plus an hour of your time to ask someone where it is- the post office needs to be privatized in order to get some accountability. Too bad you cant leave zero stars
Seriously they need to get their act together. We recently moved to Leander, and getting the mail box keys was such a hassle. 4 trips to the office and they cannot find the keys for my mail box, seriously? How do you expect people to keep coming back? 1st time they lost the keys, second time, I get a call that your keys are ready for pickup, and when I show up at post office, automagically no one knows who called me and cannot find my keys again.I really appreciate Jessica, she answered my call, when explained my situation, she was happy to help, and finally found the original keys. Glad she answered my phone and helped me, else who knows how many more trips those clowns would have made me to go to the post office. Except Jessica, no one else there has any clue of how to keep their act together or work. Kudoos to you Jessica.
If I could give a -10 this is a Joke of a Post office they scan your packages in as Delivered, Individual Picked Up at Post Office so my customers see this and now I have a HEADACHE!!! all during the holidays they would scan in at least 3 out of my 10 packages this way & they dont even have the sense to answer their phones!!! its now after the Holidays 1/5/2018 and still have 3 packages that were taken from the counter and scanned on 1/3/2018 Delivered, Individual Picked Up at Post Office.....People these packages are clearly NOT MADE FOR LEANDER they are shipping to WA, MA, CA, and FL......this is a TOTAL inconvenience and not to mention someone doesnt know what their doing accepting packages at the counter!!!!!!
MISSING ALL MY MAIL for the last two weeks, went to post office they have nothing there for me nor do they have any clue as to what is going on. Plus they lost our Christmas packages without a trace. We have received mail that was opened and retaped. AND you sure as heck cant call them because the dang phone is off the hook.UPDATE: I got junk mail again! And they lost another package that I should have gotten on Monday! We shouldnt have to get a PO Box in order to feel safe about our mail!
Terrible Service!!! I just had a horrible experience when I attempted to call our Leander post office. We were unable to check our mail for a few days and apparently our carrier took it back to the post office. However, there was no notification left in our box...it was just empty. So, before I broke my neck trying to get there after work before they close at 5, I wanted to call and confirm that indeed our mail was being held at the post office. I have never had our mail moved from our mailbox, so I just didnt know that is what happens, especially without a notice. I called the Leander USPS directly and spoke with a postal worker at that location. He was extremely rude and didnt even want my address to confirm that our mail was actually there. His answer to my question, Well, where else would it be if its not in your mailbox. I dont appreciate the sarcasm and unnecessary rudeness first thing in the morning from our post office!
As a resident of leander for almost 25 years now, I had always had amazing results with this post office, that was until a few years ago, and since then their services have just gone down hill. Nobody answers the phone, my packages are being sent to wrong addresses and then marked as undeliverable, only to eventually find their way to my house days, or sometimes weeks later. If i could choose to use cedar park post office over leander i would in a heartbeat.
I have to say that I have never had a bad experience with Leander USPS. Every time I need to mail something, the staff are friendly and seem to be enjoying their jobs. On occasions when the line is long, it always moves very quickly compared to other post offices Ive been in. I really like my little home town Post Office.
The bad reviews are true! The black lady (no I’m not racist) has the worst attitude!! I came in happy and left irritated, all I wanted to know is where my package is. An email said it was here and all I got was it’s not on the shelf. Pounding her hand on the table just because I asked a simple question. Fire her please!
Very rude people answering the phones at the post office in Leander. Had a guy yelling at me for no reason about a certified mail delivery. I called to track it and he said they made an attempt to drop off but no one was available. From my cameras on the property it showed the lady stop and keep going even though I left the gate open for her to enter to deliver. The guy yelled give me the address and I will have her go back!!. What terrible customer service. Find some new people please!
Man, what a lazy post office. I keep getting notifications of missing certified mail. I literally work from home and my door is a few feet away form the mail box. Really? Did you miss me? Today I got another one, the mail man put it in my mailbox as i was literally waiving to him outside. Didnt even say anything, just took the laziest route possible. Naturally I called to complain but guess what? They dont answer their phones.
This is not the first time Ive had issues with their office and my carrier. Ive been getting mail in various places Ive lived for 20+ years Ive been old enough to get mail...LOL. Ive never had notable issues until the last year when we moved to our home in Leander. I could write a long paragraph about how many times our carrier has not given us our mail or has given us our neighbors mail (cant count how many times), or the times she dumped packages in random spots in our lawn near the road (not even near the mailbox or heck even at our doorstep)! I will mention there was one time I happened to be walking outside to see the mail lady pull into our driveway in her jeep, just to chunk/throw my box onto the lawn (not joking) out of her window. I ran after her and yelled Hey! Dont do that! and she kept driving (and I know she heard me - she was being a coward and drove off). Her supervisor did apologize when I called in about it and said shed talk to her, but then other stuff kept happening. She then started leaving sorry we missed you notifications for me to come in to pickup any packages - I called her supervisor again and said uhh, no - she can leave the packages at my mailbox at least, like shes supposed to. A few weeks ago they delivered some random persons forwarded mail (not even sure how it got routed to us when its a completely different last name, the only letter we shared was the Co) - what made it mortifying is that it was an IRS document with the persons tax and social security # in it - one piece of mail you would NOT want to get into the wrong hands!! Good grief.Today I call in because I was expecting a package from Amazon (hmm, hasnt shown up yet - lemme check tracking). I see it was out for delivery on Saturday (I was home all day)...but then tracking showed delivery status not updated later the same day.I called into the post office, gave the guy my tracking #, he found the package on a shelf and told me to come get it. I have 2 small kiddos and I work all day 30 minutes from there and cannot make it before closing. I asked him if he could have it re-delivered...he said he wasnt sure and would have to ask his supervisor when he got in. Uhhh...why cant you re-deliver?! I mean, I didnt even know it was THERE until I CALLED YOU!! No note, no nothing - I had to track it down!!Im even wondering what the heck happened and why it wasnt delivered on-time anyway - they had it in their vehicle and just decided Im too lazy to deliver this box?? They wonder why they are having financial troubles...LOL Its because THEY DONT CARE - UPS and FedEx do, though!! Maybe they should model after them!!
The post office itself seems fine when I go there - which is a lot since they can not seem to get our mail delivered. I have had 3 boxes fail to arrive in the last 90 days - and our neighborhood has at least 4 a week mis-delivered according to the posts on our neighborhood facebook page (whatever that is worth).
Update: WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS!!! I was just notified that if you drop off in their boxes outside, they do not guarantee the your PKG was dropped off. Express box in particular. Why have a drop off box if you cant trust putting your mail in it???USPS is a disgrace more days. This specific location has drivers who deliver to wrong mailboxes on wrong streets with HUGE NUMBERS on them, shreds mail, hits trash cans that ARENT IN THE WAY, and the list goes on! Horrible customer service inside, I go to Cedar Park now, further away, but at least theyre helpful and NICE!
Horrible liars! I had a package from Amazon, speduled to be delivered today. It ended up marked as undeliverable by USPS due to “no access to the mail box or front gate or front yard, etc.” in fact, my community’s gate has been open and the USPS designated package boxes (out side the gate) were ALL empty. Just liars don’t want to get job done on 12/23. I wish there is a 0-star option for google reviewers.
I keep getting someones mail that I dont know and this has been going on for 2 years. Ive put in a complaint to the supervisor but its still happening even when I put the mail back in my box (as the supervisor there told me to do) they still deliver the other persons mail to me. What really upset me was that I had my childs sports picture mailed to me and with all of the rain weve had recently they left it in my box so the pic was destroyed and now I cant get ahold of anyone now to complain. The envelope clearly says Picture inside handle with care. That didnt happen at all!
Its heartbreaking that this post office is so terrible. This is the first time in our lives that we have had trouble receiving our mail. You either get a busy signal when trying to call their line or it just rings forever. They delivered a package to the wrong address, and was absolutely no help to try and locate it or explain how that even happened.
Made trip to PO (10 mi ea way) to get international stamp for birthday card to the UK. Handed it to clerk, asked for 5 stamps to UK. He put it on the envelope himself. That was Wednesday, today, Friday I get it back for insufficient postage. Tomorrow Ill have to drive back up (thats 40 mi, total) and hopefully get right postage and somehow cover the cancelled stamp and still be able to mail it, late for granddaughters birthday. They might as well close this station as no one there knows what they are doing!
This office is no different than the others: clerks are slow and unmotivated, phone calls go unanswered, long lines, excessive wait times and no self-service options. Their main source of revenue is the junk mail that they stuff in your mailbox. The Postal Service should be sold to private investors that actually know how to run a business.....like Amazon.
I grew up in Texas and lived in Austin in the 90’s. I just returned after 28 years in New England and New Englanders were nicer even when they were being rude!Instead of taking time to actually help me I was immediately greeted with a condescending tone. And the look of annoyance was prevalent from the moment I approached. All I needed was some clarification and that didn’t require the attitude. As others have also stated, calling here is a joke. The phone rings incessantly and then disconnects. So not the Texas I remember!!!
I wish I never bought here. This is the worst Post office uve ever had to deal with. I never get my pavkages because they put them in other boxes ot they dont even give me the parcel. This store needs yo be grossly reataffed with people who actually care to do their job. I have the worst carrier ever. They assune we move and stop giving us mail and never get things right. Cant start and nowhere to finish. This post office sucks
I have contacted my local post office many, many times over the last year. I keep getting various neighbors mail. Despite being told that they would solve the issue, I keep receiving the wrong mail in my box. Im asking for others in the community to speak out. Please call the post office or lodge an official complaint with the US Postal Service.
Dropped off my school books to be returned and find out almost two weeks later that Amazon still didnt receive them. The box gets returned to my house today (over a week late from when it was supposed to be sent to Amazon) and it looks all busted and torn up. I open the box to repackage it in a different box and the books are thrown everywhere, the return slip is folded up and torn, and one of the netbooks front cover is missing. I dont know what happened from the time it was in the post offices hands until it got to my doorstep, but now I have to buy this ruined textbook and had to pay an extension fee for a total of 5 other textbooks.
Outside: Theres not enough handicap parking spaces. Pls the spaces are too close together and the lot is too small.Inside: The doors are not handicap accessible (For pple wheelchair bound). Theres no longer a do it yourselfmailing center. The lines can be too long and so can the wait because theyre understaffed.Staff: The staff had a couple of bad apples, but most of the staff is super friendly and it gives you that southern hospitality feeling. The staff ALMOST makes up for ask the other stuff.
I took my paperwork (HUD statement) to this location so I could get my keys. Because I was not on the mortgage so my name was Not on the HUD statement, However I am listed on the title and in other paperwork. My husbands name was on the HUD statement. She pointed to my husbands name and said, He has to come in to get keys. She could have said, Im sorry but your husband needs to come here or they need to change the rule Because I still OWN the home. Very UPSET when I left. NOT COOL!!
Typical government run enterprise. Good luck ever getting someone to answer the phone during normal working hours. I literally tried calling 15 times on Friday and another 12 times on Monday and never once did someone pick up the phone despite letting it ring 30 plus times each call...Ridiculous. This is what our tax dollars pay for...not to mention that I havent gotten a check that I know for certain was mailed out over 10 days ago.
Start by replacing the post master Eddie. He does not lead honestly. Most of the staff is helpful and are stuck being led by this unprofessional post master, hes full of excuses and zero effort. He encourages the awful service our entire community receives repeatedly from one of the carriers cindy.Shes right there with him giving dishonest and unethical service daily. Mr. post master, you lie like a penny in a parking lot!
This office doesnt answer their phones or unplugs their line when a customer is trying to call in. The carrier delivered our package to the wrong address. Now the item that was bought shows up delivered, and I cant get a refund. I talked to one person, who was an absolute jerk in the office, he said hed write the mail carrier a note..... nothing was ever done, and nothing will ever be done.
I wish I could give this place NO STARS! The WORST Post Office EVER!!! They never pick up the phone! They sent my tax document back to the sender when it was addressed correctly. I know this because the sender sent me a photo. But first it was re routed to an address I havent lived at in 9 years! The care factor is missing at this location!
They dont answer the phone and when they do their response is sarcastic and not helpful and never ask for your mail to be forwarded. They have a terrible system for ensuring g that it is forwarded properly and they send notices to change the mail destination for everyone in the household to inappropriate senders. Horrible service, needs a change in management.
My neighbor and I have to constantly deliver each others mail because they keep putting it in the wrong boxes! I have my number on BOTH sides of the box..how do you NOT see it. When I try to call and complain no answer. The one time I did get someone they hung up and then wouldnt answer the phone@@
They are missing leadership, Ambition, Pride in their work. but most of all some of the people who are so called civil servants have absolutely no people skills. Start hiring people who are hard workers with a personality and some good old fashion American kindness!!!!!!!!!!!
I ordered a package and it says delivered but it definitely was not, and of course like every other person on the reviews, I’ve called multiple times and no one is picking up the phone. This is ridiculous, that’s money spent down the drain because people are careless.
For a post office, this one isnt bad.It depends on what time you go.If you get there about 11 am there is no line.get there after 2,you will be waiting. There is one guy there who works the counter.Hes aces.Help you out with whatever you need.real nice guy.Not your usual post office employee. The rest of them seem to be miserable.

2022-07-17Great staff! I dont ship things very often so I dont know the requirements, plus when I went into a different post office, they were all rude. Needless to say, I was nervous. All I had was the package taped together when I stepped up to the counter. The man on the other side, I wish I remembered his name, was beyond understanding and helpful. He had me write the address/etc on the package while he helped someone else, and he was kind and patient while I did so. He cracked some jokes here and there and overall it was a good experience.

2022-05-07As I opened the front door, I watched as the digits on my phone turn to the dreaded 5:01pm. Cashier at the front said get out!. You have a problem? Talk to the manager. Lock the door! as she yelled out to her coworkers. I was only late that one minute because I let in the USPS truck and holding the door for others. After driving in hot weather that was a big ouch for me. I just came here for high quality mail and was met by low quality. Unfortunately I have no choice to come back time and time again. Best of luck to me. Oh and dont be late! Not even one second.

2022-04-14Recently moved to Leander and had to go in for a mail box key to my Nieghborhood. It’s been a week and the lock hasn’t been changed. I’ve called a dozen times and never got through to anyone.

2022-03-12It depends on what time you go there, the wait can be extremely long or short. As for customer service, it depends who you get. You can have a awesome experience or extremely bad one. Most of the employees are probably overworked and tired. I only gave them a 2 star because of the long wait time.

2021-09-16I don’t understand how an organization can function in such a magnificently horrific way and stay funded. Taxes are 100% wasted. The USPS should be closed and the money should be spent on schools or feeding the poor. Were this a private organization it would’ve gone busy out of business as soon as it started, Or probably actually before they open their doors. The staff are rude and clueless which is why I never send anything with them. The only time I ever have packages lost is when I use their service not by choice but by the choice of the shipper. Once again they have lost my package and they don’t even know where it is or where to start to look

2021-12-08They deliver to their favorite people in the neighborhood but have told me my house is too far (deliver to my neighbor further down the street than me). Otherwise youll have to make your merry way over to this post office and wait in the long lines as the workers nonchalantly walk without a care in the world. Heaven forbid you have to waste their time by asking anything of them or youll be met with cold stares and huffing. And they wonder why people want the post office to fail...

2021-12-18Every time I order something and it tracks to being delivered by my Leander post office, I know for sure the package WILL NEVER ARRIVE.If you aren’t actually delivering and aren’t actually putting something in a parcel locker, STOP marking packages as such. Your inability to do things leads to a extra work for the rest of us!!!!
