This problem needs to get solved. There is only one person for this line that takes 1 hour and there is 3 people inside taking packages. The line inside keeps moving very quickly since there is 3 people and the processing is very easy. Maybe...just maybe...the supervisor can think of a plan to help out costumers on the outside line.
Completely incompetent at every level of staffing. Their carriers never attempt delivery of my packages and simply claim that my mailbox is “too full”. They can’t be bothered to do their jobs here and take forever to find your package when you inevitably go to pick them up.
Horrible service all my packages saying delivered and there not now one says insufficient address when it’s correct guess anything to keep or packages called 1800 they do nothing local number nobody answers .WHERE CAN WE COMPLAIN TO PEOPLE ABOVE TO GO SEE THIS DUMB THESE PPL GET PAID WELL BUT STILL MAGICALLY LOOSING OUR MAIL.I’ve had packages opened it’s like they wanna see if they want to take it or not WORST SERVICE EVER so hard to read numbers and street address and give them to the correct people
I would like to personally share my thanks the leadership and professionalism of Mr Travis, a supervisor at the De Zavala Post Office. For months I have been waiting for my key to be fixed in my mailbox. I understood that due to mailboxes being tampered with and broken into, the increase in destroying the boxes made the wait for a replacement extended. But I didn’t like getting multiple answers from multiple coworkers including a supervisor last week when to expect the mailbox to be fixed.Yesterday in my frustration, I went back and asked to be to another supervisor. Travis came up and I could see he was smiling with his eyes. I explained my scenario to him and he did confirm that the boxes were taking some time to fix. I told him of my frustration and he must of heard the frustration in my voice. He said it will be taken care of and personally gave me his WORD and information that he would ensure it got done.By midday I had a call from Travis stating that my Keys were ready for pick up. I couldn’t believe that after months of different expectations, the box was fixed and he personally took care of it, I’ll never loose my landlord’s keys again and want to personally thank and Laud the Amazing Travis.I appreciate you and thank you for being a Man of your Word ~
This place is a joke... seriously only writing this review for my own therapeutic treatment as I know there isnt a single person at this post office or the U.S. Government that gives 2 cents to improve the USPS service. Just look at the ratings here. Literally as Im standing here the worker tells me that I gotta come back tomorrow when theres 8 mins left to closing. Freaking joke.
Horrendous wait time!! (See image below: line has not moved in 20 minutes!!) Lack of clear signage indicating who does what. Nonchalant attitude towards customers. I long for the day that USPS can stand on its own as a normal business and has to improve its customer service to survive.
This post office delivered my package to the wrong mailbox. Manuel Carrillo(Supervisor) at this location emailed me 2/28/21 acknowledging that they sent it to the wrong mailbox. He also stated the Postal officials were made aware and action would be taken. I replied and said I know accidents happen and I would just like to be reimbursed. Here we are a month later and 3+ emails to him with no response. Furthermore the number on his email and USPS letter he sent me doesnt even work. You would think this place would have their stuff together. Horrible Service!
This postal office is SHADY! From October to January, I have been getting all my mail.As of FEB. all my mail has not been mailed to me. I went up to the office, and the supervisor was too busy to see me. I had to write a letter and they still havent called me! I filed a claim on the USPS online! Ive had no break ins at my APT complex, so how in the heck is my mail missing! Ive had checks, packages, and my registration that says delivered and nothing in my mail box!! SHADY if you ask me!! Ive had to request for mail to be re-sent to me just to find out that it still not in my mail box!! 000000 F***** Stars!!!
They dont answer the phone and close cases saying theyve been resolved. They dont give one options to have packages redelivered make a bunch of excuses and dont care if one doesnt have a car or time to get their package they tell one you have to come pick it up. Also all managers like Carlos Villarreal and Travis King dont help they ignore one
Endless wide parking spaces. P.O. Boxes are available. In the large lobby, there are separate metered mail & stamped mail envelope lots - mail picked up at 5pm weekdays. A large Parcel drop is adjacent. Usually there are 1 -2 Postal Clerks at the Counter, line moves quickly.
I recently moved to San Antonio (3/1/21). I had changed my mailing address to my new address weeks in advance. So after several weeks, I failed to receive a large check. I checked with the apartment manager, who said the USPS will not fix their own locks on the mail box here.I went to this post office to check on my mail. They could not locate my check. I had the check issuer cancel the check, because it was not secured and I hadn’t received it after 6 weeks.I had the new check issued and mailed. I went to the post office 3 weeks after I received confirmation from the people who mailed my check the date they mailed it. The employees at USPS said they didn’t have it. I went to management and they miraculously found it after I raised hell. The employees and management at this USPS location are incompetent. They always have an excuse for everything.
This Post Office needs to get it together! They have scanned my stuff wrong twice already within 2 months! Once saying my package was delivered and then they said it was delivered to Corpus by mistake, then today I checked tracking on one of my packages and it said it was being held here for pick up and then I go stand in a really long line and then they tell me that someone there at their post office scanned everything to be delivered on Monday when it was Martin Luther King day. And they said it was out for delivery and it was a mistake . And They NEVER answer the phone.
For the most part every time I go to the post office, the workers are always helpful. However, today at this location When I asked a lady for something she wasn’t helpful at all and was somewhat rude. Luckily, by the time I got to the front with whom was going to assist me with my shipping, a lady named Editha, was so nice and super helpful. She helped me with choosing the right package so that my cost of shipping would not be as expensive and was overall just super sweet. I don’t often ship things and going to the post office can be overwhelming, especially when the attendants aren’t nice. It is nice to see that there are those who still believe in good customer service more now than ever, during this pandemic. The 4stars is solely for the lady Editha who was nice enough to help a girl out who just needed help with shipping a package.
Over the course of the last few weeks, two items were not delivered. However, in both cases they were marked as delivered. After speaking with the companies that sent the items, both said they were delivered to me or left in my box.Yesterday, I was expecting another package. I went to my mailbox and there was a first delivery attempt note in the box. As it happened, the mail carrier was still there. So, of course, I asked for my package.This is frustrating because there was NO attempt to deliver the package. He was running late, and I suspect he wanted to cut the day short. With COVID, for the past several months items have been delivered directly to residences doors - not left in the complex office. In the past, they would be delivered there and complex residence would pick them up.After witnessing the LACK of any actual attempt yesterday, I can only guess that the same effort was made with the other items. Sadly, for the sending companies they have to eat the cost of re-sending the items to me.USPS, and the De Zavala branch in particular, needs to get it together. This is a perfect example of why the USPS is losing money - and customers.
If I could select zero for the number of stars. I would. Our high value package showed out for delivery 7 days ago and was never delivered. It still shows out for delivery. We have contacted National customer service 3 times for answers and they put in some sort of request and then refer us to this local Cedar Elm post office. We called the number for two days over 100 times and someone named Mark finally answered. He confirmed that the package was handled by the Cedar Elm office and told me he needed to look into it further and would call me back within the hour. Now it is 2 days later, no call back, at least 100 more unanswered calls to the center, and no package. Its no wonder our postal service is shrinking at a record pace. We will definitely not use them for our business shipments anymore. When the real costs are considered it simply not worth the risk. Goodbye USPS, we will do our business elsewhere.
Mail carrier delivered my package to the wrong address. Went into main area to question what to do and was told to go to the package pick up window. Stood in A line of 13 or more people only to be sent back to the original area to speak to a supervisor. Was told they would contact the carrier and have them get the package and deliver it to correct address and if I didn’t have it by the end of the business day to call a number that was written down for me and to ask to speak to a supervisor. At 4:45 I began calling the number as I still didn’t have my package and it just continuously rang and then conveniently “failed call”. Called 15 times between 4:45 & 5:25. Then I went to google and found a different phone number to call. It was picked up by an automated system and told me to hold for the next available rep and began ringing and then conveniently it stopped ringing and dropped the call. I tried calling back and of course it’s now after 5:30 and closed!! So I get to go another day of wonder what happened to my packages and if I will ever get it. If you don’t plan to answer a phone call, don’t give out the number!! Perhaps you should change your hours as you are definitely not available after 5pm. 👎🏼😡
Said there was a problem with my address when there wasnt so they couldnt deliver. Confirmed my address with USPS call center and they agreed. They wouldnt pick up their phone when I tried to call and verify address and USPS wouldnt explain why the address had a problem.
Worst customer service!!! Moved into a new house in the area. Went to request keys for my new place. Waited about 3 weeks for keys.( not bad) However I went to check my mail and realized the rekey the wrong mailbox (changed out my neighbors box) When I went to explain the mistake they made. The lady at the front told me no I was wrong; the mail must of put the wrong mail in my box. She stated for me to go to my mailbox area and she would have the carrier meet me there. Went back home and waited over an hour for this mailman; never showed up. Went back to the post office and asked for a supervisor and he admitted that their contractor rekeyed the wrong box. I told him I need my mail; he said he would rush for a new key and that he would bring me my mail personal. Never did he show up and 2 weeks later I’m still waiting on my keys!!! It’s so frustrating!!
Ive never experienced worse customer service. Picking up my mail from the post office because after moving into a new home they have yet to rekey our mailbox. They have given my mail to the dozen previous renters of the home, they keep putting their mail in my pickup box, they dont check ids for the pickup of mail as policy dictates. We have complained multiple times and the issues persist. Im thoroughly disappointed and aggravated!
Lazy, worthless mailmen who will stop delivering your mail without any warning. I went less than 3 weeks without checking my mail and suddenly all of my mail deliveries stopped. Checked with my apartments front office and apparently this is a regular issue here because multiple people have complained this week alone. I created a claim with USPS and received a voicemail from this location explaining that all my mail had been returned to sender because of extended inactivity. How? Ive gone months without checking my mail at numerous addresses without anything like this before. If things start to stack up the mailman just removes the weekly litter and leaves a stack of important mail so they know with future deliveries to leave out the junk mail. How hard is that for the delivery driver? Does 4 extra seconds really effect their day that much? Shouldnt matter because its their job!! Even if they have to perform this 1000 times in a day thats just an hour of overtime which I know I would love. So either the post office is putting delivery drivers under the clock or the delivery drivers are lazy and have a bad attitude. Either way the customer is adversely affected and thats a big issue. Completely unacceptable!
Our mail person never picks up packages scheduled to be picked up. Packages have been delivered soaking wet to the mailbox & opened. They have marked packages as delivered that never were; they said they delivered a desk into the community mailbox, which clearly couldnt have happened. Ive tried contacting the post office on the phone and through email with no answer.
Worst experience ever! I went to this office and waited in a long line. Finally i was able to walk up to an Indian looking guy. I said i wanted to mail a package in the cheapest way with tracking. I repeated my request at least once. At the end, i looked at the receipt and asked him which is the tracking number. He said the cheapest way does not have tracking. Patiently I said thats not i asked for and can you change the order? He said Yes, but you have to go to the end of the line because we have a lot of customers today. I was really surprised at this. I said Just give me the package back and i will go to UPS to ship it. He said No, i cant give you the package. Once you paid for it, its the property of federal agency. Its no longer yours! In the end, i had to leave without changing the order. There was no sense arguing with him any more.Just look at other reviews. Run away from this facility!
I was missing a mail that was supposed to be delivered. I contact my apartment office and they advised me to go the DeZavala post office. Richard stated next, which was me, advised him of my situation. He asked me what was my zip code advised him what is was, and he stated you need to go to the Huebner location. Before I can get another word out he rush me to say I need to step aside. I step aside as I was looking on my phone for the location advised and again he stated you need to step to the back. I was so frustrated, I said okay then he replied YEA. What a superb customer service? Very harsh, impatient, and just plainly rude.
I have gone to this post office a handful of times and always get Frank as my attendant. He is the nicest person to deal with at the post office. They are doing their best during this pandemic. Again Frank is fast, efficient, and kind with his directions if any mistakes.I will say the directions on where to go inside the post office are confusing though. There are supposed to be two lines but that was not clear.Also, note to those that are dropping off LARGE packages that already have paid postage, I learned that you can just go straight up to the counter and drop it off (UNLESS YOU WANT A RECEIPT.)So yes they need to make some better signage, but overall fast and efficient.
Worst post office ever. Their “overnight” bin where you can drop packages off is locked almost every single night. They use to have like 3 blue bins outside, now there’s only one. No one EVER answers the phone. Wish they would just shut this place down so we could be assigned a new post office.
They marked a package as delivered, gave me a key to a package box, but inside was nothing. It doesnt look like the box had been tampered with, perhaps they just forgot to put it in? I dont mind giving them the benefit of the doubt.I called a million times, no answer. Went in, they said theyd talk to the carrier and get back to me. Never got back. Called a million times again... No answer.Now I have to go in, with my 3 young kids to wait in their line that takes a long time.This package cost $388, and Im pretty worried and upset.
I wish I could give zero stars to this post office. I have ordered multiple packages from the same company with the same amount of items and for some reason this time they delivered my package and then took the package back while I was out of town for three days and when I came back to grab it they left a note saying that the mail would be held at the Cedar Elm post office because the volume of the mail in the box was too high and that I had 10 days to pick up my mail. So I came to the post office 4 days after this notice was put in my box and they told me my package was already returned to the sender but yet the slip of paper says I have 10 days. I dont understand why my mail couldnt have been put in the larger box that is right below my apartment box and leave the key like theyre supposed to but instead they send it back to the post office which wouldnt have been a problem if they didnt return it to sender and lesser days then they said they would. So moral of the story if this happens to you, you better hope that you get your package within that one day of getting the notice or else theyll return it to the sender.
Incompetent and dishonest. I had to call a company from whom I purchased a package, thinking they were at fault for the late arrival with pricey 2 day shipping (only option available). They gave me a tracking number and I found that USPS attempted to deliver it and left a note. There was no note. Nothing was left in my mailbox or at my leasing office. I tried calling, but the phone rings until it disconnects every time. I think its time for people to find new jobs where their laziness doesnt affect other people.
If there were a zero i would give that. This is the fourth time they have not delivered my package to me when it says DELIVERED in my email! And the 1-800 number says it was DELIVERED The woman who FINALLY answered said it had been DELIVERED!!!! Trying to get ANYONE to help is impossible! They wont answer the phone at Elm Creek! AT ALL! As i am confined to my house i rely on my phone. No help from 1-800 number no help from local! USPS does not care! Only FedEx or UPS from now on!
Everybody there seems to have a bad attitude. I tried getting my mail that was being held by my apartment because theyre fixing the mailboxes and they are telling me they dont have the mail. I talked to other residents and the office staff and they are saying they have the same problem and they had to have the people find their mail one way or or another. Its like they dont want to work and they dont care if you get your mail. Its no wonder they almost went bankrupt. Is government-run facility is terrible every Avenue from customer service to product service in Deliverance. If anybody has other recommendations on how to get there mail in a different way I am definitely ears open for any other solution besides this government service
Defund the post office! Stood in line for an hour only to find out this was not even the correct post office. When you enter your address in the USPS website to find the nearest post office three come up without telling you which services your area! Defund the post office and sell it all at a discounted rate to UPS and FEDEX. Those companies actually know something about customer service and have user friendly websites!
I can’t even tell how the spot is an embarrassment to the whole USPS system . I had a shipment to be delivered to my correct address and the delivery guys sent back my items two times for “insufficient address”! On the third attempt they marked “delivered “ with “rescheduled” . They marked delivered while the item was still in the USPS facility . Tried to call them several times there was no one to answer . I personally went to the spot and no explanation for the horrific scene there , long lines , slow working habit , frustrated employees and etc .. what a sham .. defund the USPS
The on and off times Ive had over years have been ok. Recently carrier from this office made mistake of leaving package in broken mailbox where there was a huge note stating all mail including packages would be left at post office for pickup..A package that was expected got stolen from my mailbox. Office was to fix boxes but never did..
I have never had a problem until they started using the city as mail carriers. Most of my mail gets returned back to sender, not sure why my guess is they are putting them in the wrong mail box # which that would definitely throw a red flag not to let these guys work if they cant read numbers or names. I constantly get other peoples mail in my box,(which my box clearly states my families names on it). I just received a call today to verify my address because my mail keeps getting returned. This is not good my daughter even lost a package which was paid for because the mail carrier stuck it in the wrong mail box. Due to that happening my daughter had to reorder her product and then we put a hold on all mail so that we could pick it up at the post office and the mail carrier still delivered it. This Post Office needs to get their crappy people together.
If I could give no stars a would this has to be the worst establishment I have ever dealt with. I have had multiple packages lost and/or delivered to the wrong address they don’t leave any notes when they take the package back to the post office I’ve had to replace and buy reordered items out of pocket because of these people the staff is horrible this place is horrible if this is your local mail Carrier I’d suggest you use a different address it’ll save you time and money which I never thought I’d have to spend money to receive my mail correctly
Ive only ever been to one other US Post Office in San Antonio before, and I thought that one was slow and had poor customer service. This one made that experience feel like I had been pampered by a five star resort. 2 hour wait times in lines that are not clearly marked as to which line does which service, pick up, drop off, etc. And they never answer the phone, theres not even an option to talk to an actual person listed from the robot answering service. The USPS Inspector General, or whoever is in charge of this place needs to do his job and make some changes. They are clearly either understaffed, staffed with incompetent employees, poorly managed, or from what I can tell, all of the above!!
We are constantly getting incorrect mail. Who knows how many times our neighbors get our mail. I have had two Amazon Prime orders not delivered correctly in the past month. One situation the mail carrier was too lazy to bring the box to the front porch because the box would not fit in our mail box. The last issue the mail carrier did not put the amazon prime order in our mailbox because it was full. The carrier did not put the package on the front door step either. Instead, the tracking says that the customer requested the shipment to be held at the post office. Why would I pay for amazon prime to have my packages held at the dreaded post office. I sent an email to customer support regarding my concerns and requested a call or email and received NOTHING. This is the worst post office Ive EVER had to deal with.
6 days after paying for 3 day priority shipping I still dont have my package. When I spoke to the mail carrier he was rude and talked about me pestering him to his supervisor while I was in front of him. I could have not paid for priority shipping and got the same results. I need a refund and Im sure Im not the only one. No one picks the phone up at the postal office and when you are able to speak to an actual person they act like youre an inconvenience and like they have no clue what youre talking about.
William was not very nice and condescending tones are not required. I shouldn’t have to move back and forth with packages 4 times before giving up. Hector was ok with William’s tone.Had multiple packages needing to send out and will spend the extra money for customer service else where.
Horrible service. They collected a package from my mailbox between the 1st and the 10th, but when I went into the post office they could not find it. When I asked the manager, the first time they took my number and told me they would call me back. I gave them my cell number, my forwarding address, the tracking number of the package I was looking for. No response, I went back in a few times and called the 1800 number to open a case. still no response and they still could not find the package. All this before the 16th of OCT. On the 17th of October, my package is returned to sender marked as moved, no forwarding address which I did give them, online and at the center. But when I go in to talk to the manager at the same location, a manager by the name of Eric Gonzalez, he is rude, disrespectful, and walked off while i am mid sentence trying to give him the tracking number of the package I am looking for. The other folks were helpful, despite none of them being able to find the package that was siting somewhere in their warehouse, or being able to tag a tracking number so it doesnt get sent out, but Eric Gonzalez, very rude. thinks he is above doing his job or dealing with customers.
That should read -1 star. So the mail carrier just dropped a huge bundle of mail on the doorstep of the empty house next door that has the FOR LEASE sign, and you can clearly see in the windows that nobody has lived there for 3 months and its empty. I tried calling the 1800 number and went in circles trying to figure out how to report this, got on some hold line that said 26 to 38 minute wait to talk to someone, i realized i dont care that much and hung up. I dont have all the answers but there has to be a better calling system, at least give a number that will get you to the post office you are trying to call.Also i know the carriers have a hard job but it takes just a couple of seconds to see the house is empty, why would you just toss 3 bundles of mail and walk off?UPDATE: The mail has been sitting on the porch for 2 weeks.UPDATE SOME MORE: 3 weeks lol, been on the porch since dec8th - If anyone knew that mail was there it would be gone, but you cant see the porch from the street. I am waiting to see when the carrier comes to the door to drop off the next batch, if they pick up what is there or if they leave more LOL, will keep updating to see how this ends >^.^<So after 4 weeks I finally caught the mail lady and gave the bundles of mail to her, she didnt say anything except oh when I told her no one lived there.
Like everyone else, I would leave a negative rating if I could. This branch is constantly losing mail, giving the runaround for lost mail/packages, and they absolutely NEVER answer the phone. The only response Ive ever gotten is to go to the main USPS site and file a complaint, and to also file a lost package report. If youre lucky, youll get someone there that wants to help. But sometimes Im told by the main PO who is handling my complaint that they called this branch and gotten someone right away. Makes me think they have a system there that alerts them when its the main USPS calling vs. a customer who just wants their mail.
Horrible wait times, horrible. Its really sad when business strive in customer service and then you come here to experience a no care attitude. There should be multiple people handling mail pick especially in todays reality when mailbox break ins are happening on a weekly basis. Please find some flexibility in your staff to aid this growing problem.
This location is substandard, especially when compared to other locations. The personnel have little or no concept of customer service, their presentation is unfriendly, and their movements are slow. Our postman is worse. Ive had mail delivered to a completely different address in another neighborhood, over 3 miles away. The man who received it, came to my door said he routinely gets mail for others. The most recent episode: I received notice a package was delivered and, sure enough, a key to a larger box was in my mailbox. Unfortunately, my key did not fit the any of the boxes, and there was one box without a key, already open. I did not get my package and have no way to prove i never received it.
Post delivery persons should know that the the side where a homeowner gets his mail in a multi unit box is smaller that the side the mail goes in. Therefore if the postman can barely get the package in their side, there is no way the receiver can get it out the other side.I have often left notes for the delivering post office person on this in the box on top of the package I cant remove without destroying it.The other day, I had to force the package out because I knew it contained important medication.
If I could give less stars i would. Never do they answer the phone #. Had to call main USPS service center to send them smoke signals or something. Had to wait 45 minutes on hold for them. Cannot get them to close my PO Boxes and forward my mail. No matter how many forms I have completed. Ridiculous.
After tracking package delivery was supposedly made to my mailbox at 1341. When I checked my box at 1558, no package. Calling is a useless effort as the phone is never answered. Still waiting for my package to be located. System says left at mailbox but clerk at post office says it was left at front door. Neither is true. Normal carrier does excellent but the back up guy and station are nightmares. WHERE IS MY PACKAGE! STILL WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM STATION SUPERVISOR!
Horrible service. This is my fifth time this post office has lost my packages. Last time they lost my package (this past January) I spent a whole two weeks going everyday asking if my package was in the office because it was supposed to have been already delivered to me from Amazon. I finally decided to call Amazon for help and they personally called this USPS office and said a person from the office had my package. I went to the office, and the manager made a huge scene saying the person I talked to from Amazon was lying. I had to reorder my books (the package I needed for school) from a local bookstore. Two months later, my books show up at my apartment. This USPS office had my package the whole time. Instead of doing their job right, they spent their time blaming everything on me saying how its my fault I live in an apartment complex.
Never had such a garbage experience before at a post office. The person clearly stated how they didnt want to do their job just because there was a couple of people on line for a pick-up. Some of the people who work there need to be whipped into shape and start doing things better.
I waited in line for an hour and filled out a form here a week ago. When I went back I had to wait in line for half an hour, only to learn that they lost the form I filled out. I haven’t been able to access my mail there in weeks. It takes forever to get to the front of the line. Avoid this post office at all costs.Update: They lost my forms again. I haven’t been able to access my mail in a month.
On 4 separate occasions I have mailed items to San Antonio, Texas where they did not arrive. Two of the tracking said that the package was left at the front door, which it was not because someone came home for lunch about 20 minutes after the post office said that it was left on front door. It was never found. Tuesday I mailed a package to that same San Antonio address. Tracking said it was left at front door. But it was not there and it was not in the mailbox on the street. Ive called over and over and it goes unanswered. If you want to file a claim, you have to have receipts for everything, but handmade stuff does not have receipts available. Please do something to oversee the postal workers at this location... That is a waste of over $20 just to mail something that never arrives.
This Post Office never answers their phones, are incapable of mail delivery, and cannot follow procedures. I put a change of address in and my mail came to the new address for three weeks. Five weeks later, my old address was receiving all of my mail and the old mailbox was full of my new mail. Over the last seven years at my former address, I had mail stolen, mail never delivered, inadequate response from the Dezavala branch, and overstuffed mailbox with boxes crammed in. I dont know what it will take to get this branch revamped, restaffed, and operating efficiently.
I have a package that i order may 4th to be delivered to me before mothers day. Needless to say , it never showed up. I have called both the usps customer service to complain and the actual post office. At the time, rhe post office did not have my package but had attempted to deliver it and delivered to the wrong address. When the 20th of may arrived i called the customer service line to get a case number because i still had not recieved my pakage prior to getting notified about the tempted delivery TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. I recieved the case number and was told that someone would reach out to me in 72hours. Its now june 3rd. I have no package, no refund, no idea where my package is and it was very sentimental. The anguish i feel and anger i feel is so unbearable at this point. i beg you all to do something about this before things escalate and the citizens take matters into their own hands
I scheduled an appointment for my passport however I got a voicemail the day of my appointment that it was canceled. I tired calling back and no one picked up the phone. My wife and I schedule time off from work for this appointment. The message didn’t state why it was cancelled but we’re kind enough to mention I could go downtown or “reschedule” my appointment for another day. I would rate them a 0 if I could, however if you’re needing your passport here’s the address for the downtown location. 719 S Santa Rosa, 78204.
It is very sad to experience a poor service from USPS at this location. I moved into a new home and requested to change the mail box key. It has been more than three weeks and they keep telling me to go back and check it again. I did again today and still there is nothing. The mailbox key has already changed but i dont know where to find the key. They should have been more serious about this. I have important mails coming in and im scared that my mail would be missing. Its an important public institution that suppose to provide a great public service but sadly, its not and im so irritating right now.
Fed ex had USPS deliver my package. It showed as delivered but I didnt receive it. I went to post office in the medical center with a Fed ex tracking number they were able to show it as delivered but they werent my post office. Went to De Zavala office they didnt know how to track. Guy next to me was given a huge stack of mail which he later returned and said it was not his. I never received my package which happened to be a birthday present and was never given an answer except to call the main number. Which couldnt do anything for me since it was a Fed ex tracking number. Way to go guys. Keep up the shoddy work.
This post office never picks up the phone. Recently my package of medication from a local CVS was tracked as delivered by carrier. But it must have gone to a neighbor’s box. It didn’t make it to my box. Checked with pharmacy, and checked online with tracking. It was delivered, just not to me! Also, neighbor did not turn in. In order to report this and begin an investigation, I called a 1-800 number since no one at Cedar Elm will pick up phone. The customer service at 800 number said they would have Cedar Elm investigate and call me about the Service Request. A week later, nothing! Even after carrier put medication in someone else’s mail box. What a waste. No wonder US Post Office is on the verge of going under.
This is easily the worst branch of USPS i have ever encountered. There is never anyone available to answer phones and if they do, they are extremely rude. I had a package that couldnt be delivered to my address so it was sent back to the post office. The next day i went in to tell them that it was here and to see if i could pick it up. The guy told me, without even checking for it, that it was not here. Frustrated and pissed off, i went home. I later called the store to explain my situation to someone else and after me telling them it was definitely there, the guy found it. If i hadnt have been so persistent, I would have never gotten that package. Every time Ive dealt with them, theyve been rude and condescending. The only guy there that isnt completely incompetent is Richard. I like Richard. Keep up the good work, Rich. But as for the rest of them...
I really wish I could leave no stars for this pathetic excuse of a post office. Been waiting on my international package for a week. It was delievered Jan 23 but a notice was left is what it says online, but there was no notice left at my door, in the mailbox or at the front office. After I scheduled a re-delivery it was supposed to have gotten here Jan 25, still nothing. I scheduled another re-delivery this past Saturday Jan 28, Im hoping it will be here today. I get off from work at 4, they close at 5... If its not recieved by February 2, it will be sent back to the UK! Where Ill have to pay for shipping again and probably have it shipped with the same damn postal service and this will be a never ending problem. I havent had any problems with my other orders, I dont know ow why this one is such an issue.
We were supposed to have our mailbox re-keyed when we moved into our home. They told us that it would take 7-10 business days and would be no problem. We have been back multiple times to check on the status of our keys and pick up our mail. Each time, we are told that they were running behind and we would get ours taken care of soon. After over 2 months of waiting, when I went in to ask for our keys, they said they had no record of our mailbox needing to be re-keyed and they would need to set up the request again. We still have to go to the post office between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm to pick up our mail, which is not easy when you work across town or usually work from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. We also have to physically go to the office to check on the status of our keys. As I sit here, I have called the office 9 times with no answer, answering machine, or opportunity to leave a call back number.
Dropped off 5 packages at post office. Few hours later eBay customers emailing me telling me package says delivered to san Antonio. What the hell. I do not have packages. No one is picking up the phone. They should all be fired there. In case anyone is reading these I mailed packages 6/29 1030 am. Person messing up should be fired.
It is now 9 days past the estimated delivery date for a certified letter to be delivered by the Cedar Elm Post Office. I filed an inquiry and a followup inquiry through the USPO and got a call from the Alamo Heights PO, from which it was mailed successfully, that I had to call the Cedar Elm Office. They have not answered the phone in many days of attempts. I had to pay to cancel the check and hand deliver a new one. I would like my money back!
The management at this place is beyond horrible. I ordered a package from Amazon which happened to be delivered on a Sunday and I wasnt home and I guess the left it there by my door at an apartment complex. No signature no call. Nothing. So I call and create a inquire at my locale office which is this one and they said to wait 48-72 hours and they would call me back. Never got a call. And email. Nothing called again and they said they closed it with out resolving it. So I go down in person. First long line. Whats new so I wait and it moves rather quickly get there they set me aside for a supervisor which her name is Angel I wait. I give her my papers which has all my information and all she does is repeat the same information I already had to me. Doesnt say why my case was closed with no resolution. Gives really horrible look and even slammed her phone does and was just being unprofessional. She didnt help me at all. Im not only upset that they couldnt do anything but also that they werent willing to and the customer service was worse then any place I have ever been. Angel is rude. Unhelpful and overall just unpleasant to be around. Amazon on the other hand took a 5 minute call. Credited me back my whole Oder and gave me a credit for my inconvenience. Shame on yall
This location earns its low rating. Its unfortunate theres not a zero rating. Not only do the employees here hate their jobs and harbor disdain for customers, but they boldly put their disdain on display with their attitudes and intentionally slow service. They do so with impunity it seems, because not even management seems to care.And the USPS wonders why people hate them as they end up as the butt of so many jokes.
They lost one of my international packages and just deleted the information about it from their system. This is how they solve problems . Same thing going on now - they attempted to deliver a package, left a note with wrong address where I could pick it up. After half day serching for the right place I was instructed to go to pick up line and ring the door bell, of course no one answered. I have rescheduled delivery since I was not able to recover it from that amazing post office. So far there is no information where my package is. When I call them, they just let it ring, and then hang up.What a disaster of a place, very sad that they represent government .
How could you have no access to delivery location while you delivery mail everyday to my house. And making the 2nd attemp to the same location while you have no access. What you mean by that. You just delivery my mail today again that you say you cant delivery package because no access, then who put those mail into my mail box. Totally non sense. UPS and fedex they are smart, i dont how many hundreds tine I bought stuffs on Amazon and they delivery so fast. USPS is doing something wrong here.
One of few USPS Offices that do passport paperwork in San Antonio. I took my entire family there to have their passports taken care of and spent around $650. We had all of our paperwork lined up and everything ready to go other than pictures. The gentleman there said that one of our documents was not needed and even after insisting it be sent declined to take it reasoning that with his years of experience that it was not needed.About one week later my entire family gets all of their passports back (kudos to the government for the quick turnaround time!) except me. I check daily with the website for awhile with no confirmation of anything other than having requested a passport and five weeks later I get a letter asking for the document I initially wanted to send. Extreme waste of time. Family vacation did not happen. Extra money spent to overnight requested documents.
The mail carrier for Vance Jackson Rd. in San Antonio, TX has not delivered my mail to my mailbox (at an apartment complex) although several pieces of mail were sent to me to include a bill from CPS Energy. Also, the mail carrier did not inquire with the leasing office about mail addressed to me in order to verify if I was a new tenant. I was told by one of the supervisors at the De Zavala location that my mail was not delivered to me due to my name not being on or inside of the mailbox. For this reason, my mail is being sent back to sender. However, I received two USPS priority boxes of mail delivered to my address the week of April 3rd with my name on them. Why the mail carrier would deliver that mail, but not any other mail I will never understand. I was informed the mail carrier is suppose to inquire with the leasing office if they are receiving mail for someone the mail carrier is not familiar with. People move in and out of apartments daily and I would think that mail carriers would use common sense and due diligence to ensure everyone receives their mail and not take it upon themselves to return mail back to sender.
This is absolutely the most dysfunctional entity on the planet! The staff is clueless, indifferent, and rude. They could care less about the customers or their issues. There is no problem solving or anyone who will step up and take ownership for anything. All of them just pass the buck and collect a paycheck. And no one, NO ONE... will answer any phones... so you have to waste a trip into their office so you can have someone look into your problem or issue which wont get resolved that day... youll need to come back and waste another trip. I dont understand how nothing is done about this place with so many horrible reviews on record.
Due to the way this branch sorts mail, we end up getting huge deliveries every Monday and Thursday, and almost nothing any other day of the week (for the last 10 years, anyway, it was much better before).Periodicals regularly arrive late, and many that should be wrapped are not.I have had multiple instances of expensive items being damaged in transit. A desktop computer that was required to be handed to USPS for its final leg was rammed into a pole, causing complete loss of the product. The manager at the branch closest to me (not this one) took it, sent it to this location for the insurance claim, and it was promptly lost by this branch (and the insurance claim denied because they lost it and could not verify damage).Recently, we have had several packages be marked as out for delivery that never arrive, and are updated after the fact to say The Shipment is Available for Pickup, despite workers there saying they do not have it and it should be with the carrier.Our last mail carrier (or rather, the person I think got replaced a couple weeks ago) developed a system of folding things in half, even those that said do not bend to fir them in the mailbox instead of using the giant USPS bin the carrier before him left specifically for the heavy mail days. At times, he will fold letter-sized items to fit in the mailbox, and then carry things larger than the mailbox to the box.The quality of service at this branch has declined significantly in the last 5 or 6 years. The worst part is having to drive past multiple closer branches to get here from our residence. Not that those are much better...
Cant even get a packaged overnighted, box has Live Animals written all over it. If you deliver them tomorrow and they are dead you will pay. I see why your reviews suck so bad, you cant even do the job you are in business to do. The main hub can confirmed that you received the package on time yet you let it sit on the docks for over a day before you even scan it. Why is it that the other two facilities I have sent and received packages from never have any trouble but anytime packages get routed through this location there always seems to be problems and deception. Have not enough people complained and given you terrible reviews enough to address the problem?
Theyre awful and rude. I submitted a change of address online and after specifically asking how to fill out the mail hold form and getting instructions straight from them, the following week I was told it was filled out incorrectly and had to do it again. When I asked if this would delay me getting the mailbox keys (which already take 3 weeks), the gentleman working the window with a thick accent couldnt give me a solid answer and basically brushed me off. Today, I was in line to pick up my mail and I witnessed him being rude to two other people. This place is a drag.
Everytime I come to this post office (because I live by it & my apartment is not accepting packages) they never have their stuff together. The employees are beyond rude!! This location sucks. I hope they have an employee change soon because I work in retail and the service they offer is completely unacceptable.
Tried to mail an eBay return with a prepaid label. A guy named Angel would not let me ship it because I was using a priority mail box with a first class label. He said I had to buy a different box. Fine, I figured, rules are rules. So I selected one of their generic boxes but realized I didnt have tape so I asked him if I could borrow a little tape to secure the box. He told me they only have priority mail tape and I probably shouldnt use that and told me I could buy tape for $5. At this point, the box plus tape wouldve cost more than the shipping so I told him Ill just come back tomorrow. Next day, I have it all ready - new box, taped up, ready to go. I get to the post office and see Angel helping this woman, and lo and behold - hes helping her TAPE up a package with some regular packing tape and after hes done, he takes the tape and puts it back behind the counter. So I was outright lied to and he tried to squeeze an extra $10 out of me. What a joke.
Poor excuse for a post office I stood in line today for almost 45 minutes with three people being ahead of me looking to get packages that had been Transferred back to this particular post office each Customer was told by the same incompetent employee that the package Either had been delivered already or was out for delivery. When it was my turn I was told the exact same thing even though my email pacifically said that it was dropped off yesterday at this location and that I would actually have to come pick it up I showed it to the lady and she said no it’s on its way to be delivered to your house get here this evening check my mailbox nothing at all total waste of my time. Seeing that I used to work at the post office myself I understand that it can be very stressful but there’s a difference between a stressful situation and a dumb person bottom line.
I hand delivered Xmas cards to the front desk and my friends and family never received them. Put in a claim to find and of course they never found them. Gift cards never delivered. Filed a complaint. Nothing done. Cant get money back cause they had regular stamp and not insured. And another time a package delivered to incorrect address, had proof, would do nothing for me cause THEY show it was delivered. I have more stories but too many to tell
I signed up for an address change online over 2 weeks ago. Went in and filled out a mail hold form over 1 week ago. Checked today, 1 week later, expecting mail. NO MAIL. NO HOLD FORM AT ALL FOUND. NO MAIL being held at post office. No MAIL anywhere. BLESS YOUR LITTLE POST OFFICE HEARTS. DO the people in this organization have an extra chromosome for STUPIDITY & INCOMPETENCE ???? I’ve lived all over the United States as a member of the US Army. NEVER have I seen a more incompetent, mismanaged business as this.
It would be wonderful if someone around here knew how to answer a phone or scan in a package so we could get updates on delivery. 2 days after my package was suppose to be delivered it still hasn’t been updated. No one answers the phone been calling for hours. It’s ridiculous. What’s the point of having a phone if the workers are not going to answer it.
Went there to get passports. The told me I needed an appointment although the website said it was walkin. Was told no, you need an appointment and they could not fit us in. Very firm. Was okay with it. As I was leaving, saw the same guy tell a Hispanic person, oh we can fit you in for a passport. I understand being accommodating to people. But this was completely unacceptable. There is always the possibility I misunderstood, but fairly certain I clearly heard the situation and the words used. This is after I wanted in line for 30 minutes. Not a very good post office. Would recommend going somewhere else if you have the option.
Worst place ever! The other post offices always have my apartment complex sign for packages and just have me pick it up at the apartment office. But NO this postman told the apartment complex only I can sign but I was at work so he took it back to the post office. Go to the post office 3days later and they cant find my package at all! I wait for 30mins while the guy ran around in the back looking for it. So they took my number down and said they would call me when they found it. I have yet to get a call and the phone line is busy everytime I call. Just from reading the reviews I should have known this place was trouble.
The worst delivery and customer service ever! February 16 2021, still the worst delivery service ever! How does a postal worker get away with straight up lying about me requesting that they leave my package with a neighbor? I dont know any of my neighbors. They cant even tell me who they gave it to!
Awesome mailman, unbelievably friendly and thorough. We get mail quickly, no problems. Good service at post office, but I do see a lot of angry, rude customers who are quite frustrated. I feel bad for the postal workers, their morale may be low... seems like a pretty screwed up system for everyone.
Worst post office ever!!!! I travel out of town quite a bit for work. Last week was on a trip for three days which extended to five. Go to pick up my mail when I came back to town and theres a note saying that my mail has been taken to post office because Ive moved. This is the 3rd time that they have done this to me. If you dont get your mail when the postman delivers he takes it upon himself to take it back. They NEVER answer the phone and when they do they hang up. Horrible customer service and they need to shut this branch down!!!!
THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN! My mailman doesnt even bother to deliver my packages. He will just leave a sorry we missed you note in my mailbox even when Im home! He refuses to get out of his mail truck to knock on my door, its happened MANY times. Or sometimes he will scan my packages as delivered but wont ever actually deliver them until weeks later!! He is extremely lazy!!! Many of my packages have been lost just because he does whatever the hell he wants to do. Its been an absolute headache. Dont even bother calling, there is never any answer, nobody here cares about your mail.
How is it possible that they never answer the phone, ever? If Im wondering where my package is, I have to physically go there for them to tell me they dont even actually know anything? Which has happened on several occasions. One time they had lost a card sent to me by my dad which somehow magically arrived 8 weeks after it was mailed. Totally useless to have a phone line.
This is the worst post office ever!!! They don’t know what they are doing once they receive my package the always resend it to another city!!! Then it comes back to San Antonio office again & they put out for delivery & shortly after they “Return to sender” for vacant/abandoned location!! Really I live at UTSA apartments!!! This is the 4th time they do this to me! Always have problems with my packages being delivered from this office. HORRIBLE SOMEONE HAS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS!
I recently had an eBay item arrived damaged, and USPS sent me a letter telling me to bring the item to a US Post Office for inspection (as part of the insurance claim). Despite having the letter in hand, which clearly stated what needed to happen, the people at the post office gave me the run around and sent me through 3 different lines. When somebody finally looked at the letter (their own letter, since USPS had sent it), they glossed over it and gave me completely nonsensical replies (like pointing to the letterhead and saying You should pay to ship your item here for inspection! even though the letter clearly says nothing of the sort.Incredibly insulting and unprofessional all around.
Aweful. Mail delivered to wrong address (multiple times, even my drivers license! Never received it). Packages damaged (multiple times). Items missing from a package once, and they wouldnt help or reimburse me. Registered mail dropped off at front door when really I need to sign for it! Unacceptable! Never answer the phone. This is the worst of the worst! Something needs to be done!
HORRIBLE...! They left a note saying the tried to deliver, but no one was home. a) Someone was home all day. b) its a package I get every month and no one has to be here to sign. They simply didnt want to carry it because it was heavy. I went online and submitted for it to be re-delivered. 4 days later, still nothing. After calling 3 times (because they wouldnt answer and kept sending it to busy signal), they finally answered and said, because it was heavy, they didnt mark it for delivery. After having to become angry and mean, they said they could deliver it by tomorrow.Why??? Why do I have to be mean, rude, angry, etc.. to get the customer service that should be provided from minute one. If USPS doesnt want to deal with heavy packages, dont accept the freight from the suppliers.This is not the 1st time weve had challenges with USPS, in fact situations like the one above has happened over and over again. We will NEVER choose USPS to ship anything of ours. Unfortunately when we order online we dont get a choice. But I am going to file a complaint with Amazon.
The service is absolutely awful. The worst I have ever experienced. I mailed care package to my girlfriend at UTSA via overnight shipping Thursday the 1st, set to arrive Friday the 2nd at 3:00pm or earlier. However, the package didnt arrive until Monday October 5th at about 5 pm. They caused error after error, sending it with the wrong truck, delaying the package, and a myriad of other problems. At this office specifically, when I called, THEY NEVER ANSWERED the phone. I called continuously for 2 hours at least, and no one ever picked up the phone. Absolute pitiful. I wish I could rate lower. To top it off, my package arrived damaged.
Worst phone system ever!!!! Impossible to get through. The automated service for the 1-800 number is HORRIBLE!!! I never leave reviews but I spent an hour trying to get through and answering all of their questions but STILL couldnt get help. My issue was unique and was none of the options offered so I chose the closest option but was hung up on. Then i called back and selected a new option, literally choosing every one, and was hung up on by a stupid computer over and over again! This seriously needs to be fixed! I get that youre trying to minimize calls with an agent but this does not work!
Every time I visit the post office located at 5837 De Zavala, theres no mail for me when I know for a fact i have been mailed several items. I have been here several times since November and I have received ONLY ONE letter from then until now January . The associate will always bring me mail that is not mine and not even the same address as mine and then I never get anything for me. My mail is being sent here because apparently my apartment building’s box is broken.. yet it has been this way for longer than 6 months and my apartment complex blames the post office and says they have not yet fixed it . this is ridiculous. I have important documents I am waiting on . Where is my mail
Bad To No service!!!!!! Mean and spiteful carriers. If they get mad at you, I strongly suspect they dont deliver crucial mail. Especially time sensitive mail or mail from IRS and Meds. Can you believe? Higher ups should pay attention to their carrier doings. I guess they feel above the law when it comes to tampering with mail. I will contact my councilperson about this, suggest we all do.
Tried to mail a package to Europe, they told me my packaged need more tape....then directed me to buy tape from them. Kind of aggravating but still not my issue I paid $5 for A single piece of tape. The lady behind the desk had a constant bad attitude, when I asked her if the form was filled in correctly as it was my first time sending something out she just said I dont know, just write it In however its been 5 weeks and my package still has not arrived, and they have no idea where in the world it is. Staff is is insanely rude and lazy.
I am trying to get a change of address issue cleared up and cannot get anyone to answer the phone. It rings about 3 1/2 minutes and then disconnects. My neighbors in Apt 2 moved and accidentally put Apt 1 on the change of address form and Im not getting my mail. Im now sitting on hold at the Main Post office where I was told the hold time is 37 to 50 minutes. Last time I had to go through this I was on hold for almost two hours before anyone finally answered the phone.
Horrible customer service, plus i paid $60 for a po box cause someone is stealing my mail yet they still deliver to my mailbox although i applied for all my mail to be forwarded to my po box. If you ask for a supervisor you will have to wait like 20 to 30 minutes before his highness shows up ( if he show up )
Package said out for delivery. Never delivered although they delivered two other pkgs today. Got a text at 5:44 pm stating the pkg came in at noon and could be picked up??? Not happy! Im staying in SA with my daughter. We dont have this problem in Oklahoma. I always get great service AND they answer the phone.
Mail pick-up is SLOW. I went to get food while my husband waited in line, and when I got back he had only moved up 1 spot lol. Also their staff doesnt even wear masks/ not properly. Theyre handling hundreds of packages and letters from people all day, it just rubs me the wrong way. I hate this place 🙃
Worst post office ever. I can’t wait to move out of my rental house to get away from this post office. They never deliver my mail they always lose my very expensive packages that are delivered to me there’s no customer service they simply do not care Every time I’m receiving a package they always send my package back to the sender saying that my address is incorrect. When clearly it’s the right address. If I could give zero stars I would!
Never picked up my package. I got an email stating there was a discrepancy but NO note! What was the discrepancy? Tried calling the DeZavala location and OF COURSE no answer. HORRIBLE customer service at that location. Sadly, USPS doesnt seem to care.Oh, and I NEEDED it taken yesterday because it contained important documents that needed to be received right away. WHO CARES right Cedar Elm?
If you go to the actual station, be prepared to wait forever. Horribly under staffed. The people you do meet arent happy or friendly. Its as if they are aware of the problems and it brings them down too. Additionally they lose mail and packages. We had packages and mail lost for a month and then magically appeared one day. For example we received June magazines in August.
Wow, what a surprise that USPS is hiring incompetent mail men/women. They delivered my package to the wrong address and the street isnt even similar at all.Trying to get a hold of the post office is absolutely worthless since they cant and wont ever answer my call.How convenient is this...
Do I have to give it at least 1 Star? This place sent my package to wrong zip code...twice..then sent to wrong apartment...then sent package back to sender. When I called no one will pick up... when you call the national number I received the Im sorry but error was my fault?!?!?!?! WTH?I asked where can I pick up my package? One of the worst post offices I have ever experienced. Supervisor Matt Contreras is a joke of a person and he and the post office have been reported to the NW Police Department and the USPS Inspector General. I would rather move than deal with the PO ever again. I have video proof of the mailman stealing packages yet they dont care and Matt Contreras defends his employees even with proof.
First of all, taxpayers do NOT pay postal salaries. Theyre paid out of the stamps and other services they sell, so quit saying your taxes are paying the salaries of postal workers. It only shows what utter morons you are when you say that to or about a postal worker. Second: I worked here for several years, so I know first hand that its a terrible post office. I tried to do good work. They dont care about good work. They care about whether or not you can make their numbers look good. If you cant do that, theyll treat you like crap as a worker, and then people are stunned when the service is bad. All the clerks also have to suck up to this one female employee who is--I cant put it delicately--a skank who spends more time on her knees polishing knobs than actually working. If youre not on her good side, she makes sure that you get nothing but crap hours and the worst work there is to do. I worked all over San Antonio, and it was the worst of all the post offices out there. There was a reason we called it Cedar Hell. It was so bad that people wanted to go work the crap hours in the main plant, rather than put up with one minute at this awful place. Oh--and the only way you can get anything done is to call the Glass House behind the Perrin Beitel plant on this place, or, better yet, GO THERE, and tell them how awful the place is. If enough of you do it, they will eventually smack this station around. Good luck.
Lost my package even though it says delivered in its tracking. Several pieces of mail including a check are still missing. I have submitted online search for the package and still nothing. I have called this office and nobody answered even though they said to call back if I had questions. They didn’t even answer my email.
AWFUL!Ordered brakes to put on my car from Amazon. Half the parts arrived, received note that the rest was delivered but It was never delivered. They refuse to answer the phone and because of my schedule it would be quite difficult to go there in person. Luckily Amazon gave me a free replacement.Was talking to a friend and he mentioned he had a similar problem except they lost a multiple orders worth several hundred dollars which cannot be refunded.This post office cannot be trusted.
I would give them no stars! Worse postal office in history. Staff always yelling at customers. The other day I came and did a long line, the guy sent me to the other line. He told me to get in front since I had been there waiting for so long. The lady that works there yelled at me in front of everyone and told me to move to the back of the line. The next week, they yelled at a man for doing exactly what he was told to do. Today, a man was in the wrong line. He got there after me, They placed himIn front of me, and no one yelled. These people are so rude. If they hate their work, they should retire or go somewhere else! I hope someone comes and inspects them soon!
Had the best customer service from Jay and his coworkers working next to him. I started my post office journey to mail out a package to MLB legend Brooks Robinson at the Medical District post office (oh, dont worry Brandon @ medical district.. your review is coming next). I wont talk about that post office (medical district) in this post though because I dont want to take away from the great experience I had at the De Zavala location.Again, JAY took the time to identify my needs and fully meet them, with no issues. Hes been a real pro every time Ive gone into that post office. He and his coworkers had me laughing by the time my transaction was done. They all have a fun and professional chemistry. The De Zavala post office is equal distance to the medical district PO from my house and i will ALWAYS go back to the De Zavala location.Keep up the fantastic work Jay and crew!
Horrible mailman. Doesnt even attempt to deliver packages. I realize I live in a third floor apartment, but if he is too lazy to walk to my door he could at least leave the packages at the office. I have to check tracking to see if packages that need to be signed for have been attempted to be delivered. He doesnt even bother to leave the failed delivery notes anymore.
Horrible experience. The customer service is awful. I had an appointment scheduled to get my passport. I come in about 15 minutes early and ask about it 5 minutes until my appointment at 9:30. The guy says all the appointments were cancelled and they should have called me. I told him I got a confirmation email last night and he said I should’ve got a call. I stood there for a minute because he said he would find somewhere else for me but walked off after he said that rudely.
One of the worst post offices I have ever dealt with. Dont try calling. In 2 years I have never had my call picked up. When you finally get there, the staff are some of the most unhelpful people ever. I know you work for the government, but christ, can you atleast pretend to do your job?
Unlike most reviews, I didnt have a bad experience here. There was a decent like but thats to be expected in the middle of the afternoon. They helped me take care of a genuinely weird issue (my mail not getting delivered even though theres no reason it shouldnt) and they were polite/professional about it
The postman keeps sending my mails back despite of my name on the post box and when I call to find out why is this happening, they dont seem to have an answer. The only apparent way to solve this issue is to talk to the post man but how is one to know when exactly they come to drop off mails. I cant take off from work and wait by the mail box. The guy on the phone when I called gets an attitude and says there is nothing they can do. This is the worst post office. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Horrible service. 2 months & still they can not provide a key. Then to be informed that they never sent the request. All employees including supervisor pointing the fingers at each other. 1 whole week of mail disappear. They were supposed to hold my mail till key is provided to me. Now all of a sudden noone knows where the mail went. Ever wk I have to go and check for my mail. It take up to 30 min to get someone to hlp out in window 1.
Based on the rest of the reviews and my personal experience with the USPS now I know why they are almost going out of business every year.I went to this office to cash a USPS money order but they didnt have enough cash to cover the service. The money order was for $260 dollars, not a crazy amount of money. I talked to the supervisor and according to him they dont carry that amount of cash in the morning, he said maybe during the day they will have the money but he could not guarantee it.So basically it seems like USPS is running a Scam Service, they get money from customers and exchange it for a piece of paper with no service guaranteed!I particularly will avoid their service every time is possible for me and I am not the only one thinking this way so unfortunately they will disappear as an governmental institution in a very short period of time ...too bad!
Poor service and pathetic customer service. If USPS as a whole wasn’t government funded, they would have been put out of business decades ago by fedex and UPS. Will avoid at all costs. Unfortunately, and painstakingly against my will, my friend shipped a package via USPS anyway. As expected, they dropped the ball. If I could give zero stars I would.
Horrible horrible horrible service. Said my package was delivered. Never received it. Called and they said theyll check on it and call me back. Never called me back. Tried calling 15 times and no one ever picks up. Still havent found my package. Gotta go to the company I purchased my goods from and ask for them to resend everything. And this isnt the first time its happened either. Worst post office ever. Wish I could give zero stars.
Worst Post Office in the history of the USPS. Our office will go days without mail being delivered. No one answers the phone and after long wait times in the lobby to try to find out why .. the answer is always I dont know or I cant help you or you have to see someone else. I guess the USPS doesnt deliver mail anymore!!!
The most incompetent USPS facility Ive seen to date. There were 4 cases straight where they were not delivering packages or had screwed up mail holds. Everyone had a USPS confirmation to support their issue, yet these idiots couldnt even explain the error on their part. I would love to see these people in the unemployment line.
My parents (old people from another country) sent my a package, and make small mistake, filled my apartment number as # Apt.XXX, (# + Apt). Other things is completely correct, but post office not recognize it and sent package back (of course money not returnable). How bad such person should be to do such stupid things?
Terrible service. I have received notifications that my packages have been delivered only to have to wait 4 days for they actually to show up in my box. Why would the carrier even scan that it was delivered? Today, mail missing and I had already received notice that it was in my mail box. Unnaceptable.
Unbelievably the worst. Informed delivery just lets me know how infrequently the mail that is scanned in actually makes it to my box. I dont know what is wrong mentally with my mail delivery person, but they lack number comprehension and reading skills apparently because its actually more rare that I GET my mail than it gets delivered to the wrong address.
Rudest staff, in particular Debbie and the other lady (Maria, I believe). Both act as if they could not be bothered to do their job. I stood in line for over 45 min to pick up mail on hold. Everytime either of them where free, they walked away from the counter to delaying having the help the next customer in line. It was made even more obvious when Maria attempted to call the gentleman after me in line to assist him, twice. I had to inform her that I was next in line. I admit, I empathize with some in the customer service industry. But, dont do it if you arent going to be a professional, it reflects poorly on your co.
I can tell you guys this place is legitimately the worst, one my friends that works for them as a help desk told me this story about this office. The carriers always damage there own equipment as well. My friend said they received so many replacement Point of Service equipment that it keeps getting damaged, they gotten equipment 5 to 10 times and they were all damaged.
Utterly useless. People stand in line like a Soviet era breadline, while postal employees move slowly or go on long breaks. You get to the front of the line, and they tell you to go into a different line (no signs state what each line is for- apparently, one is for sending and one is for receiving). The other line was not attended by anyone as the employee must have been on a long break, so people just stand and stand and stand waiting for help. Finally, someone comes out. And, of course, they couldnt solve the problem. An hour wasted, no results. Typical government operation.
Mail carrier never left a notice on my door for a missed delivery, partly because he was never there. I called this post office to see if the package was there and they said it sure was, I drove 20 minutes to go pick up my package only for them to tell me it is infact not there. They then tried getting me to come back to the post office at 5:30, which is when they are closed. This is why you guys are going bankrupt.
Terrible. Ive called all day (friday) during business hours with no one answering the phone. Its not a holiday and ive called at 9am, 10am, 3pm, and 4pm with no one answering. Ive just moved into a new home and need a key that they said would be ready 3 days ago and they never called. I havent gotten any of my mail for a week and a half. Plus I have items shipped that is probably going back because theyve been there so long.
I have literally called 9 times in a row. Theyll send it straight to busy for 3 or 4 tries, and then let it ring for 2 minutes before sending it to busy again, the next time!I just want to know if you have my package because its an important ring for my fiancé! Hint Hint! Please pick up the phone!
Always long lines because not one employee there has any sense of urgency or amount of knowledgeability. 10-15 minutes per transaction on a good day. I’ve seriously considered moving to a different side of town to be done dealing with this branch, which I’ve had the displeasure of watching get worse rather than better for the past ten years.
20 minutes waiting for someone to come to the package pick up window. The guy talks to the young lady in the front of the line. He then disappeared for 10 minutes. They should be embarrassed on their customer service. I tried to call in. Now I have on hold for 50 minutes.If we dont care then they will stop coming to us.
The postal carrier delivered the mail today and left the back of the community mail box unlocked and wide open. I tried calling the De Zavala phone number for over 30 minutes. No answer or the phone disconnected after repeated rings. I hope the government outsources mail delivery soon. No wonder the USPS is in the shape it is in.
I hate this post office with a passion. The staff are rude, they never answer the phone and to top it off they manage to place blame on the customer rather than accepting responsibility of their own mistakes. I get, you have a federal job as do most people, but have some accountability and integrity for Christs sake. Get it together, De Zavala Post Office.
I GIVE THIS BRANCH MINUS ZERO STAR (-0).They do not deserve a single star.........Today is August 11th 3016 anf I have called this branch up to six times in the last 2 hours and apart ftom no one answers, someone hang up the phone instead of answering the call.... Really, is this how those representing the federal government should treat its Citizens? This is unheard of and very sad... Do they have a manager? The manager should be ashamed of himself and his staff!RECOMMENDATION: All the staff at this branch should be FIRED with NO BENEFITS!They are all disgrace to America...!!
Needed to cash money orders out and purchase a new one. Was told by all three clerks that they did not have any cash to cash the money orders. I went to the post office on Huebner and Lockhill and the clerk easily performed the transaction from her terminal without any cash exchange. Simple. Not understanding why the clerks at DeZavala were not competent enough to know that they could have performed the same task. Go figure....😒
This post office is TRASH !!! they don’t ever deliver my packages to the right place . they don’t answer the phone so don’t bother calling ! How can a post office operate so carelessly?! I’ve flushed at least 100$ down the drain just for the simple fact this I can’t communicate w this post office ! its sad honestly . its a business for the community that doesn’t give af about the people !
I am very disappointed with the mail services. A package was delivered to my Mail box in Scenic Glade 78249 San Antonio on tge 16th. I checked on the 17th and its not there. Its a big item weighing 4Ibs. Very disappointed. Why cant they deliver big items at the door step. I am a handicapped. Its so sad i paid so much for this item and i have lost it.
If I could give them a negative score, I would. I received a call and was given a number to call back. The first try, it rang and rang for two minutes. Then I called back again and someone picked up, said nothing, then hung up on me. I have not been able to get in touch with anyone and it is incredibly frustrating.
Awful customer service. I pay for subscription boxes every month and theres always 1 they send back because my box was full yet when i go check it theres a single letter. I call and call them but no answer so then i physically go there and they say they sent it back to sender because order # was wrong... its like this every other month and Ive been getting these very small boxes for over a year.
WORST USPS EVER. Refused to deliver packages to my home address because I had 2 other roommates with different last names. Returned over 6 packages to their sender. NEVER was able to reach their phone, the only person you can speak to is an automated machine. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE.
Ever since I moved to my new apt I have had to come up here to get my mail. And most of the Time they claim I have now mail, until last time when I yelled at them and they magically found my mail I had so many bills from December it was ridiculous I wish my apt would fix the mail box out here already.

2022-07-29I had a small package (able to fit it in my mailbox) that was supposed to be delivered to my home re-routed and kept at this post office “at the request of the customer.” I never made this request. I called multiple times and went to this post office: nobody knows where it is. Not surprisingly, another customer was in line with the same complaint—multiple missing packages. This is the sketchiest post office around. They are blatantly stealing people’s mail and not taking complaints seriously at all. Avoid this place at all costs.

2022-03-30If i could give 0 stars i would do it! The mailman we are associated with does not care about his job, delivering packages and leaving the key in the parcel locker seems like it’s a very hard thing to do! But saying the package was delivered is not. I have put in complaint after complaint after complaint and nothing seems to come out of it l, because he is still working his job and “delivering” packages either in the wrong parcel locker or not delivering them at all but putting in the system as delivered. The managers obviously do not care because i know for a fact that other people in our neighborhood are either not receiving their packages or the key is not in the mailbox. I know it because over and over again I received other peoples packages and had to go to their door and give it to them. This is ridiculous USPS at this location is a joke. Their delivery service is a joke. Their mailman is a joke. Their complaint department is a joke. Save yourself from headache pay the extra fee and get your packages from other carriers.

2022-05-11I dread receiving mail through USPS around here because there are always problems. My mail has been lost more times than I can count, the line to pick up mail often takes an hour to get through, and when you get to the window, my fiance and I frequently get told we got nothing back there even though notices are left for us saying that our mail is at the post office. Sometimes they tell you to wait in another line to speak to the supervisor and mail is miraculously found. They attempted to deliver a package to me on Friday, but we werent home to sign because it was during the day. My fiance went by to pick it up on Monday and got the classic, we got nothing back there. I put in a redelivery request online for today, worked from home all day waiting on it, and never got it. I looked online and the tracking number said status not available and the redelivery request has expired? I guess Im never getting this package.

2022-05-091. No A/C on 05/09, unsure how long this has been going on for.2. No instructions for picking up package, or where to go. I was in line for 15 minutes, an employee skipped line right in front of me and right when it was my turn I was told by Frank to go through the double doors.Unsure of the reasoning for the delay is in picking up a package when I see employees chatting. To note, it was 0928 on a Monday, no reason at all to have delays in service.

2022-05-17*edited May 2022* This problem has gone away, so I’m changing the amount of stars back up to 5!!The people that work here are amazing, nice, and so helpful, but the lines are absurd almost daily. I think a good part of it is that SO many boxes in the jurisdiction for Cedar Elm have been broken into, and none are repaired. So, half of this area has to come here to pick up mail therefore resulting in a line that takes 45 minutes or more. How can this problem get solved?? Thank you!

2022-07-05Horrible employees mailman leaves mail crushed in box. They always lose the packages forgets to close the package doors. Or they forget to register the package in the parcel lockers and do not send code to retrieve package all in all they are terrible I think UPS has a upper hand on them

2022-08-10If you can go to a different post office go. I wouldnt recommend coming to this one. I sent a package to my military spouse whos at Fort Rucker. The address wasnt in the system because its a military base. The first time I sent a package they override it and sent it to the address on the package. Whoever helped me this last time did not do that. I told them that I wanted it sent to the address on the package and he did not do that. He sent it to whatever address popped up for Alabama. There were valuable in that package and now theyre lost. It was supposed to be delivered Monday. Its now wednesday and it has not been delivered. My package is floating around Alamaba and not being delivered because he did do what I asked. I am very upset and praying that it gets delivered or returned to sender. I am severely disappointed.

2022-04-13I had an appointment for a passport at the Lockhill Selma post office that was cancelled day of and was informed of it after I arrived to my appointment. I went to this location to see if I could walk in I was told no and they were full, I asked if I could wait to see if there was a cancellation. I was sitting for a minute and the gentleman next to the one I spoke with originally was able to help me complete my passport application, it took less than 5 mins.

2022-07-09This is the most worst post office, there is only one person getting the mail, in the pickup area, my mail box in my apartment was broken into, i moved in March, they have not fixed the mailboxes, I have been coming here since March to pick up my mail, I have to stand in a long line to get my mail, when I can be doing something else. I work all week, and by the time I get of, it’s closed, so I have to come every Saturday

2019-05-06Surprised & SatisfiedShortly after walking in to the building, a nice guy in a red USPS vest walked up to me to ask if I need assistance. I dropped off a package with him and asked about PO Box info. He quickly dropped off package and obtained the PO Box pamphlet and passed it along to me.I’m from Chicago and customer service is No. 1. Living in Texas for two years, I can attest that the service in this area is quite slow and the customer service is not what I am used. Therefore, I was surprised at the quick service from the USPS Employee.Although the area inside was tidy, the space felt dim and dark in some spots. There were several light bulbs that needed to be replaced.The exterior planters and lawn have seen better days, but the the walking areas were clear.
