Best beauty supply for all family members needs “prices are right” for every budget! Located in N. Arlington and worth the drive from surrounding areas like Dallas and Ft. Worth!
Staff very helpful. I wandered around took my time without being stared at...huge variety of wigs weaves hair pieces and products! Prices are reasonable not the best but not the worst by far. Love this BSS will definitely visit again.
They are horrible when it come to them selling bad products and providing great customer service. On a Friday I spent 60 bucks in there and the cholesterol conditioner was bad so I took it back to exchange it and the manager said no because I scooped some out and put on my hair mind You I didn’t want the money back I just wanted to exchange and because the other 2 that was on the shelf smelled bad as well I just wanted to exchange for the olive oil brand plus I had about $30 worth of products to purchase and put it all back when she did not want to exchange conditioner. It made no sense but I will not spend another dollar here.
Went in for lashes and regular beauty supply pick ups. Theyre a little pricey compared to what im used to but they have good customer service. The selection is good for how small the store is
Not much to really say.. They sell Urban products, and they dont follow you around, at least in my 7 years experience with them. Good sales but others are competitive in pricing because the closest store is Pioneer & Collins.

Very unprofessional. Requires ID when using credit cards, which violates the credit card merchant agreement, and actually have the audacity to require you to allow them to write down your drivers license number for purchases over $50, which is against the law. I understand there are other similar businesses with these practices, and they are all of them unscrupulous and dont deserve anyones hard earned money. It is disrespectful and potentially racist, considering the demographics of their target customer, and their assumption and arrogance that they can treat these consumers in this way.More of us should go natural and purchase products exclusively online or at Walmart and Walgreens and Ulta/Sallys--well get better deals and better quality products plus no longer have to worry about being spied on or followed for shopping while black.

Yeah the first time I went here when i moved here...eyes watched me everywhere I go. African Americans are their bread and butter and still watch everything u do. They watch u without u knowing ,they look down or the other way when u make eye contact with them &realize Damn, why are they watching me .take ur hard earn money to Sallys or Jennys Beauty supply in Oak Cliff its worth the drive. U treat ur customers like suspects we realize it and get sick of it and take our money elsewhere..
Place has a good selection of what you need. However the floor is a serious safety hazard. Certain areas of the floor you can feel deep dents and holes that are covered up by the carpet.

Worst store I’ve ever been to. They sell a bunch of stuff and don’t even know what half of it is when I asked a question. Had to ask a customer to see what aisle hair rolls were on.

2021-08-30Stopped here on a whim on my way home and was shocked by this store’s customer service and amazing selection !From the moment I walked in I was greeted. After a few minutes of looking around the owner noticed it appeared I was looking for something specific and pointed me in the right direction where I was greeted by another young lady who kindly checked the floor for the inventory as well as the back to confirm whether or not they had it in stock. Although they didn’t have exactly what I wanted, their items were very reasonably priced and I still ended up getting a few other things.

2020-05-23This is a solid neighborhood beauty supply store. Seems well stocked & organized with various popular or trending hair products & accessories with comparable or sale prices. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable & accommodating when possible despite the potential for a question or answer to get temporarily lost in translation. Parking is adequate for this plaza location which also includes a Kroger grocery.

2021-04-09My car was acting up as I Just leaving KrogersWhich is in the same shopping area as Uptown Beauty Supply. I needed some liquid eyeliner So why notstop at t Uptown Beauty Supple I was literally right there.I.As I was pulling into Uptown Beauty my car quit on me.I didnt have my cell phone on me do to meThinking that I was coming right back to the houseWell if I walking to Uptown Beauty Supply I asked one worker could I use their phone explaining what happened with my car, she act like she didnt understand what I was stating. I went to 2 more workers and asked and explained my situation and they bothe ignored me. I politely walked out and boy was I disappointed. I have ben shopping there for 3 years and for them to act like that in a place of business certainly wont ever get a dime from me ever.

2020-11-07They need more hair brands and options in store. I watch YouTube a lot and most of the brands I see there arent carried at this beauty supply store but they are nice people and carry other great miscellaneous items

2020-10-10Quick to ask me if I needed help, gave me options for my request when item not in stock, and finally sold me the display item at 10% discount. When I lived in Fort Worth, Gigis Beauty Supply was my go to place. Now in Arlington, Uptown Beauty Supply is the place for me. If you are looking for a place to buy items for the drag industry without getting judgey looks from the clerks, shop here.

2017-03-21I love this place I have naturally curly hair so this place is like heaven. It has almost everything I need to style and keep my hair healthy. I go here on a regular because Im always trying new styles which sometimes call for new products. I recently just found out that they have Etae products which I been wanting to try. Anyways good place to shop for naturals and others as well I assume. I havent had problems with anyone following me the people seem very nice in my opinion.

2020-11-21Its a decent beauty supply the people that work there are so nice and helpful I been coming here for awhile I like they have a point system like if you buy so much you get a stamp and after 10 stamps you get so much off which is a cool perk while shopping there.

2018-06-23So I went in this hair store before and didn’t like the prices about 2 years ago. So I decided to give them a second chance; I bought perm hair rollers from them the purple colored ones( I bought 3 packs). Every single one broke I figured because they were cheap maybe I got what I paid for. I went back to the store to get a better brand of perm rollers to only find out that this was the only brand they sold for perm rollers. I end up buying another type of roller and decided to let them know the quality of the perm rollers. I showed the clerk the roller and the response was “you put too much hair in the roller”. I told her I didn’t even get a chance to snap the roller before it broke. So I soon realized that they didn’t care. I didn’t ask for a refund I was just letting them and she mentioned that someone else said that too. So... I will not be going back just because you know you’re selling a faulty product and choose not to maybe search for another company to buy wholesale from. So how many other products are you selling that you are aware that maybe faulty. But that’s just me.

2019-08-30I liked one of the hair that was on the manikin. I asked for the same exact one, one of the ladies brought me one that had same exact name and everything. When I touched it, it did not have the same texture as the one in the manikin, the lady told me that once I install it on the head it will be same texture. I installed and nothing looked like the hair on the manikin. The 3 bundles cost around $100 and installation cost $150... thats $250 that went into waste just because of these scammers. If you cannot refund me $250, just wait and hear from my lawyer. Very very disappointed
