My experience was wonderful. I made an appointment online and when I got there the staff were ready waiting for me. No wait at all. I really appreciated how cautions they are about covid 19 asking the patient to wait in the car. Much better than a lobby full of sick people. All the staff were very polite: receptionist, nurses and the Physician Marisa was very nice and knowledgeable. I really recommend this Urgent care.
Other than a waiting time of almost 2hrs, my experience was pretty good. The facility uses great phone technology to register patients which makes the experience a lot more convenient. The staff and the attending Doctor were professional and courteous. There was a comment made by one of the young medical clerks or nurse that I didnt appreciate when I asked about the waiting time, but in the end, she still managed to speed up the process for me.
My visit went very well. I had to visit due to a very painful ingrown nail and was treated very well. They were able to resolve my issue and walked me through every step of the process. An extra point worth mentioning, while I understand it must be challenging when patients need to bring their children they were very accommodating and friendly to my son, which is a huge plus for me. Thanks again for your help and time.
First off. Going here was my last resort because Ive had bad experiences in years past. But I felt awful so I made an appointment. It was scheduled at 5 but I waited about half an hour to be seen still. Tried to get up to ask the nurse what was happening but she was busy eating in the record room behind the desk. Then after my vitals another 15-20 mins. The doctor was great. He was very thorough and made sure I left with the medicine I needed. The nurses however, not the greatest. I could hear them loudly complaining about charts not getting done and who does more work there between the shifts and it was just very unprofessional to do right outside my door while Im just sitting around waiting. Urgent care isnt my first choice but it got the job done. Would have been happier if I could skip the nurse interaction and just see the doctor.
I won’t be coming back. This was my go to place when I could not see my regular family physician. I made an appointment for 5 pm. At 6:38 pm I asked how much longer it would be, I was told all the rooms were full and it could take another hour or two. I was glad the ladies at the front were honest but at that point I had to leave. Not sure why the wait time is so excessive now because I never had this experience here before. They kindly gave me my refund but I won’t be returning.
Fast service, nice nurses. I suspect the COVID-19 rapid tests are not accurate. Bf got his at a different location and tested pos. Here I tested neg., and elsewhere pos. But, considering how much knowledge experts and CDC know about this virus we cant always get things right. I just wish it didnt have to cost so much. Not really worth the money to come here. Do your research, if I had known a better choice earlier, I would have gone elsewhere.
Was having heart attack/stroke symptoms and stopped here to seek care. They said the doctor had 3 patients ahead and would not check me until they saw those patients first. They told me I should go to their sister emergency room- McAllen Emergency Room. They gave me my information to take because they would need my insurance to be seen. I went there and it was a terrible experience.
I have been going to urgent care for 4 years there staff is outstanding professional and very efficient. Noemi at the front desk is a superstar along with all the doctors especially Dr. Maria Colon who I’ve seen the most. Great place with unbelievable hours with wide range of services. They take infants, toddlers, adults every one can be seen plus they do workers comp too. Walk ins... no problem!!!!
My visit was great. I saw Dr. Zamora. He was amazingly attentive. The facility was clean, organized, and well-managed. All of the employees were professional and seemed to really care about doing a good job. I would choose this location as my primary doctor if I could. The wait time was short and I was able to be seen right away...on a SUNDAY.
I walked in feeling awful! Staff/nurses/doctors all seemed very caring and made sure I got the care I needed. Dr. Wilson even gave me a follow up call to check in and see how I was doing! I will definitely be returning whenever I need a sick visit, and would highly recommend to anyone!
This place is horrible. Was waiting in the lobby for two hours before getting called in. Waited more than an hour in the exam room and no one showed up. I Went out to see if anyone was outside and there was no one. I waited over 3 hours and still had not seen the doctor. I didn’t stick around to wait and left!! And they did charge me for the visit of course. I would never recommend coming to this place to anyone. If I could give this place negative stars I would. You are better off going to the hospital than this place.
I had a good experience. I don’t live here and was headed to Padre Island. I felt absolutely awful. Went to Urgent Care for U. I got the medicine I needed and was beginnng to feel better within 10 hrs. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. I had to wait a short time, but feel that is expected.
Overall I had positive experience at this urgent care. The staff was polite and friendly. Dr. Vicente González was knowledgeable and took his time to explain his diagnosis. He answered all of my questions in a professional manner. The over all wait was 2 hours from check in to walking out. As an out of town walk in this was a relatively smooth transaction.
Today I needed to see a Dr for a possible UTI . They had me wait for two hrs !!!! I called them to see when I was going to be seen . They said They still had two more patients to see before me!!! I told them to give me my insurance card and ID back and I left !!! Very poor service!! Very poor time management. Will never go there again.
The young man and young lady that tended me did an excellent job . Very professional and to the point . Doctor was an excellent over the top doctor . My consultation went great , the doctor explained in the most detailed form . Thinking of making him my primary doctor . Great job to everyone who tended me .👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I went to Urgent Care for a COVID-19 nose swab test, I did not wait long. Though the nurse was horrible on instructing me where I needed to go, to get the actual swab test. When she came to my vehicle to take the test she “forgot” the paper I need to call to ask for my results. So after she was done taking the test, she went back to give me the paper. The test is $150. I do not understand how can they not be professional, for the extremely costly amount it takes to even get the test done. I’ve called everyday since Tuesday, when I initially took the covid test and the staff is very unorganized. They tell me it’s not ready or “they will call back” THEY DID NOT EVEN ASK FOR MY NUMBER. Extremely livid with the situation, my family and work are as concerned as I am about getting my results as soon as possible. I have heard of other places in the RGV that are charging way less for this covid test and give you the results the same day of.. Please DO NOT waste your time going to this facility. All they want is your money, and do not care about you at all, which is ironic due to its name “Urgent care 4 U”.. Tomorrow marks 5 days since I took the test. God willing they will be able to give me my results, however I highly recommend you seek testing elsewhere.
I had a wonderful experience. I was so grateful to find this clinic as it’s difficult to find a clinic open on Sundays. The doctor and staff was amazing. Alex was a gem! The wait was a little long but nothing compared to other clinics. I would definitely recommend this place.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Trying to charge $150 for the swab test and will not accept any type of insurance. We waited in the parking lot for 5 hours. Just for the office workers to argue with people in the line and say they have no tests. They wanted us to fill a paper and put our card info. But no tests are available?
Dr. Moreno was phenomenal and so was the care of the nurses. The wait was not bad at all and I showed up on a Sunday morning with other patients awaiting care. Although the wait room was somewhat full, I didnt quite mind being that the room was clean unlike other doctors offices. Dr. Moreno took the time to explain facts about my flu and how to properly care and prevent others from getting the flu. The only thing was that although we had full healthcare insurance, we had to pay up front while they verified information on Monday which is understandable.
First time going there and last time going there ! They had me wait in my vehicle and stated they would call me when it was my turn to go due to only taking 4 people at a time yet people were walking in , after aN hour and a half I called in and asked how much longer I was just going in for a immunization they asked “why are you waiting in your car “ mind you this girl was laughing! Horrible customer service! Never going bak and would never recommend anyone to go to this place !
Staff was friendly. The Doctor was very nice and friendly. They helped me by giving me Tylenol to reduce my fever and other medicine to help me out. Doctor prescription was obtained. I was able to watch The Simpsons while I waited to be seen. The only thing I did not like was that I would have liked for the Doctor to explain in better detail what was wrong with me instead of being so eager to send me out the door.
Booking an appointment is fast, easy n so convenient! Staff is friendly and you get treated by a Dr all the time. Dr was very informative. Took the time to explain things.. which you don’t normally get when u visit ur general dr.. this is my ‘go-to’ when I’m in need of after hours medical assistance.
My son had came home from junior high with a swollen knee & limping and in pain so we decided to go here instead of me taking a day off from work to see our regular doctor. Great decision. The front receptionist was friendly & made the effort to call my insurance & have my benefits faxed over from an after hours connection which avoided me having to pay everything upfront. Then the male nurse who took us to the back was super friendly with my whole family. He talked to my son directly & actually listened to what he was saying. Then came in Dr. Carlos Moreno. SUPER AWESOME. He took the time to really exam my sons knee, took x-rays, & then gave us the diagnosis & treatment plan. Dr. Moreno was GREAT even to my younger son who was just tagging along. I was overwhelmed with the sincerity of the staff of Urgent Care. So many people in the Valley, especially at doctors offices & hospitals, are rude, rush, & make you feel like a number. The opposite is true of this facility.
Do not go to this place, just dont. I came here because I had severe stomach pain. The doctor didnt know what was wrong but wrote me a doctors excuse to take work off three days and said to return if I didnt feel better. The girl at the front took my insurance and NOT ONCE mentioned that my insurance didnt cover it. If I had known that prior, I would have gone elsewhere.Upon leaving, again, the girl in the front knowing my insurance didnt cover gave me prescription and never mentioned a copayment. Three days later I was still in a lot of pain so I went back thinking my insurance covered the doctors visit. When I got there a rude lady let me know that the girl in the front made a mistake and shouldnt have let me leave and I owe them $75.00. How on earth is that MY problem? She should have told me before I went in to see the doctor. Now they are sending me bills saying that I owe them money for terrible experience and horrible customer service. Even when I had a question regarding my prescriptions the head nurse was extremely rude and seemed like she was too busy for my questions regarding my health care.If youre looking for a doctors office dont waste your time here. The Valley Medical Arts clinic off of Violet was wonderful and there the staff was caring and understanding. My experience with the two were night and day.
Staff was great, aside from being sent to a diffrent facility to get an x-ray and being charged another copay for a specialist visit pro radiologist and then coming back to the UC and also them wanting to charged me again another copay to get my results from xray is ridiculous. Sign said no Xray today but it didnt say we send you somewhere else you will have to pay another copay. Just ridiculous.
My son as injured recently and was in pain. I didnt want to wait for an hour at his doctors office or get the ridiculous ER bills. We were able to register online on the way to the clinic, so by the time we arrived my son was immediately taken in. Needless to say, it was a flawless experience.
Was suffering from uti symptoms and went there just to be told i dont have a uti and lab test was negative. She said she wished there was something i can do for you. Well excuse me, but are u treating the patient, or the lab test? I had all the tell tale symptoms and was in pain that Sunday night. Also, i explained i had recently finished an other course of antibiotic that hasnt helped me in the past for uti and maybe thats why my urine test came back as a false negative plus the tons of water i was drinking. Not to mention, i went home and bought an at home uti test and it was positive for a uti. I spent $189 to talk to the heartless and uncaring dr for 3 minutes. Dr. Gonzalez was her name i think, idk just a small short lady that saw me. Honestly, she could have given me a stroger antibiotic then the bactrim Ive been prescribed for in the past and pyridium(Both non narcotic medicines that would have helped me immensely) This isnt my first rodeo u selfish people. I know when my body had a uti and u did not help me. I ended up going to my PA the next day and spend another 80 bucks and got a shot in my butt a round of amoxcillin and pyridium and my test came back positive for uti from the PA. DONT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if u actually want to be treated with care and be listened to when u explain your symptoms. You will just be brushed off bcuz they think they know everything.Long story short... i am a private pay patient paid $189 to see a dr for uti on sunday afternoon. Was in a lot of discomfort and pain. Dr said i had no uti even though i had all the symptoms. Went to see my regular Physicians assistant the following day and said i was positive for uti and i got rhe proper treatment for my symptoms i was having no thanks to Urgent Care4U. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND SEEK TREATMENT ELSEWHERE.
Doctor belittled me and my pain. Worst experience of my life. Doctor told me that my insurance company would not pay for more physical therapy because I wasnt getting better fast enough (still using crutches) . I was so worried I didnt know what to do. I called to insurance adjuster they werent available. All I want to do get better and go to work . I felt horrible. The insurance company call me back and told me the they had approved me for 30 of physical therapy. I will never go back there again.
We saw the Dr. and he didnt even touch my husband. He asked him to point where the pain was and describe his symptoms. He said, well thats where your appendix is. Im referring you to a surgeon to evaluate you for an appendectomy. I asked him if he would need some blood work to see if he had an infection and he said no, that wasnt always indicative. So he prescribed 2 antibiotics and sent us off with the referral. The appointment was for 3:30 p.m. the next day. We asked if we could have an earlier appointment, fearing a ruptured appendix. We were told we could call and try to get an earlier appointment ourselves. So we called and got one for 8 a.m..I filled the prescriptions and we decided to see where it was as our appointment was early. We drove there and the sign outside the building said Dr. Hovorka, Vascular and Laser surgery. That didnt sound like anyone who would do an appendectomy so I went inside and asked the receptionist if the Dr. did appendectomies. She said, not usually. He would have to call in an anesthesiologist and he only comes on Mondays and Thursdays. I said there must be some mistake because we were referred here for an appendectomy. She said are you sure it wasnt an atherectomy? I said No. She said are you keeping your appointment? And I said NO!We went to another urgent care, had a thorough physical exam, labs, x-ray, urinalysis and were told it probably wasnt his appendix, but come back if it doesnt improve. We ended up going to the ER in the middle of the night and had a CT which showed a kidney stone.
I do not recommend this place. The name says urgent care, but there was no sense of urgency involved from the staff. When I asked the person at the front desk for an approximate wait time, there was not even an estimate given. I didn’t stick around to see the physician.
I mean I got better somehow...This place messed up all my paperwork for a work related injury. The wrong claim number was on my form, and there was missing information. I ended up getting billed for medicine that should have been covered by my employer because of the wrong claim number. The doctor also didnt seem to know much about my injury. The doctor had to step out and “check their notes.” (They went to google my issue...)
Very expensive clinic. Showed up with fracture in foot. The normal visit cost of $117 was elevated to an urgent visit for $265, an injection that did nothing to relieve pain was $17. Two X-rays were $50. A follow-up one week later that was essentially the doctor fitting the boot on my foot (which I paid for) was $170. So, the total for 2 x-rays, an injection, and a boot-fitting was $591. As an added bonus, the nurse slammed the door shut on my childs fingers during the 30 minute wait time for a doctor. Overall, the care was adequate, but the cost is too prohibitive for someone who is paying out-of-pocket. I would NOT recommend this clinic for the un-insured.
Last year I was injured at work, so I was on workers comp. Went in to see these doctors because its close to home and on the workers comp list (immediately regretted it). Doctor came in with clipboard, and without even looking at me, told me to return to work same day. I was in a tremendous amount of pain. I advised him and he said, Oh. Uhm, then just dont lift anything heavy. Thats my job Doc! Terrible. Recently, spouse went in for infection. They just gave her antibiotics.....which made her worse. So whats their answer? Give her more of the same antibiotics which made her worse. These doctors are a complete waste of time and money. I can not believe they are allowed to practice. Will NEVER return and will advise anyone and everyone to stay clear of that place!
The front desk clerk and nurses were decent, but the physician was the worst Ive ever seen in the urgent care settings.I can probably name several PAs or ANPs who can give better care than he can in this kind of setting.By what he describes himself, Im assuming hes an old, incompetent emergency medicine physician who takes shifts at an urgent care for extra $$$.BTW, the walls of those examination rooms are so thin that you can hear other patients. HIPAA violation?
I will describe my experience overwhelming to find out nothing. Doctor came in said how are you feeling terrible doctor doctor said so is everyone else. Listening to my chest in under 3 seconds, example I have been doing patient care on an ambulance for 15 yrs there are different sounds and different places to listen to for breath sounds and in the middle of my sternum isnt one of them. or was he looking for somethings else. Thanks for looking in my throat at least he knew where it was located. Asked if I had a flu shot this year u said No and left girl comes in checks for flu with the swab and say in 15 mins we will find out the results. 10 mins go by and I was told to go up front and pay (that was the main thing payment) was giving a piece of paper (was told that was my prescription) and thats it. Still clueless where is my fever coming from what was I diagnosed with? If you just want a prescription you can go here but if you have history in the medical profession you have more knowledge then that staff and my shadow has better bedside manners for any sick person I had ever in countered in my EMS career.
I was attacked by many chiggers, developed an allergic reaction. Name of this place should be care4ur$! Given no discharge instructions, no follow up advice, no rx. Had to INSIST that the receptionist find out the name of shot I was given. NOT better, went to a much better place today. Itched for a week in between...
I do not recommend this place.front desk staff is friendly and nurse. But doctors no good is a waste of time. I went in and couldnt even tell me what was wrong instead he just advise if not better In a few days go to the er. He didnt even run any blood work or nothing.worse urgent care and doctor Trujillo worse doctor I ever seen I dont think he cares about his patients only $$$$
Dr. Moreno is the worst Doctor ever. My dad went in workers comp case. With a hurt back and reconstructed knee and in 5 min the Doctor diagnosed him and said for him to return back to work and just not to lift anything heavy.. what kind of doctor diagnosis a back problem in 5 min with out even taking a look at my dads back. Worst experience for my dad ever dont go there
I read bad reviews of Dr. Moreno prior to the visit, I decided to ignore them since waiting time is not long and there is no appt required. BAD decision. Dr. Moreno has bad reviews for a reason, he was very arrogant and was going off topic not caring for my complaints , extremely rude. Im not the type of person to write reviews but his attitude was just unacceptable and unprofessional.
If I could give no star I would, the ladies in the front are very rude. Appaently you cant use the side door although its open. Dr Wilson is the only staff here whos very professional. Its too bad the company I work for networks with this place. Go somewhere else for your care !
They informed me over the phone that they do accept my insurance and once I get there the receptionist tells me that they can’t verify my insurance because is Sunday. And to see the doctor is 172. She could it have told me that over the phone instead of driving all the way there.

2022-06-14I know that when people see 5 star reviews the assume it’s a robot but I’m a real person with a real experience. I appreciate the staff going above and beyond to help me get checked out even though I showed up right as they were closing and the staff and doctors were incredibly understanding of my concerns and helped me feel taken care of!!’

2022-01-17The staff was extremely friendly and kind. Their PA, I believe it was Ms Salinas, was very thorough with her questions and listened to my responses. I cannot thank them enough as well all medical staff working around the clock administering Covid testing and shots. Thank you Urgent Care 4 You for being open on a Saturday and doing what you all do.With much gratitude, em.

2022-01-01Great experience aside from the slight discomfort of the nose swab. I saw their online booking but had questions so I called the office. I spoke to Katherine and she answered my questions every time I called. She’s a ROCKSTAR. Just from my phone conversation with her and the ease of booking an appointment, I recommended this place to several family members that also needed testing. They take insurance or private pay. Wait time is minimal. The gentleman that came out to do our tests was professional and had great bedside manner with us AND my child. Hopefully we never need to be tested again but if we do, we will come here. I 100% recommend.

2021-09-25Booked appt online. Directions says to check in at front desk. Doors are closed, sign says to call to check in. Called twice and went to voice-mail. Called about 9 more times and the call didnt even initiate. Called a friend and heb to see of it was my signal but those calls went through. Its past my appt time now and I have not been able to reach anyone.

2021-09-05Making an appointment has never been easier than with Urgent Care4U and Solv. I was able to schedule next day service for abdominal issues and the PA was able to get me treated and referred for proper care. Best part is their service is covered by my insurance. Their hours run late on weekdays and they’re open weekends.
