Instead of going to Midas, I saved $40 doing my air-con recharging at Valvoline. I am extremely happy with their professional service and recharging cost. I am DEFINITELY going back should my air-con go out again. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Came here by recommendation for an inspection and oil change, when my regular spot wasnt available. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality interaction and service. Didnt feel like I was getting shoddy service here, I would probably return in the future. Its also convenient to be able to stay in the car the whole time and be aware of what is happening to your car.
Came to get my oil changed- all was well at the time. Just to find out when I left, that they hadn’t put the plastic piece under my car on correctly after replacing the oil. Had to come back 2 days later and wait another hour just to get this fixed. Do it right the first time, so stuff like this doesn’t happen. Annoying if you ask me.

I bought an oil change on Groupon. They charged me $11 more and tried to upsell me more services that had been done a few weeks prior. I will never come back.
I said, don’t touch anything besides changing the oil and they actually listened to me. I’ve been to many Valvoline locations throughout the country and this one has been the best.
Do not replace your battery at Valvoline on Broadway. I’ve gone for years when I’ve lived in San Antonio for oil changes and it’s been convenient and I have not really had any issues. I’ve even used locations in other cities because I had some trust in their work. I’ve also stopped by when I’ve had a low tire and they are helpful. In Nov 21, I went for an oil change and replaced my battery just to be safe with cold weather imminent. I hadn’t had any issues. I recall they struggled a lot with the install (I was sitting in the car) but it was ultimately functional. In Jan 22, my car was dead and I took it directly there. They initially insisted the battery was good but I asked them to check again and they confirmed it wasn’t good and replaced it. They told me if my car died again then the problem was with the alternator and to take it somewhere else. The first time I turned off the car, it was dead again. When I got a jump, I took it directly to the dealership asking them to check the alternator—same day within an hour of when I left Valvoline. The dealership’s diagnostic said the cables were not properly secured and the alternator was fine.I informed Valvoline (Broadway) and they said they’d fix by going to the dealership and ask about covering the diagnostic charge which was originally $175 but The dealership agreed would be $95. When I spoke to the manager today, he blamed me for not returning to Valvoline and said the dealership was wrong because they properly secured the cables. Almost a week without my vehicle and the cost of an unnecessary diagnostic test, my message is to not get a battery replaced there—not worth the time/effort and for the same cost you can get a battery installed somewhere that can stand behind their work. **edited to reflect one Vice two stars…unexpected reply to this review was that they are awaiting documentation from me which is news to me and inaccurate…still awaiting call from manager**
Quick, efficient, TRUSTWORTHY and wonderful customer service. Would definitely recommend to women, single moms, etc. Definitely do your research, but the staff is transparent and doesnt push a hidden agenda which is sadly hard to find.
We stopped in for a oil change on my truck. We arrived right after they opened and got in and out pretty quickly. We walked next door to the nearby Starbucks for a coffee. Great location. Very helpful staff.
They were good fast friendly went in there to get my oil checked and possibly changed they changed my oil oil filter checked all my lights my tire pressure my brake fluid my windshield wiper fluid put in a new filter and oil change 7 quarts all within half not even a half an hour check my battery make sure it was running properly Valvoline did good professional and accurate I recommend them to anybody

Got my car inspected today and it was a friendly and easy process.
Never coming back. Took them over one hour to work on one car in my line. The other lines were moving at a steady pace, but I could not move into the other line since I was sandwiched between cars. So cars that came way after me got serviced and left while I was still waiting. Would have been nice if they worked on cars that were waiting for over an hour over cars that just drove in. Or at least give an update as to why it was taking so long.
VIOC ON BROADWAY IS THE KING OF CARS!We make our customers feel welcome and show them we care, we let them know of other issues we see on their car so that they can be safe on the road and so they can also have it checked out by their mechanic. The Broadway location is full of fun and great people. All my co-workers are great guys to work with, they are my “Vamily”...we’ll make your next or your first oil change visit fun and entertaining that by the time you now it you’ll be ready to go.
Best experience getting both an oil change & state safety inspection! Took barely any time and they did a great job. Highly recommend.
I went in for an oil change, no extras, and it took 40 minutes. In that time, nearly 15 of those minutes were spent trying to get the skid plate off. They then lost the screws to replace it so it took even more time to find/replace them so it could be reattached. Once I left, my TPMS sensor came on due to low tire pressure even though they had checked all of them. I had to return to have them corrected. I have always used this location, so I was quite disappointed with this experience. I hope they do not continue making these mistakes.

This is by far the best oil change experience I have had in San Antonio, over the last 20 years. The service was fast and professional, and I got to stay in my car! I will be returning there for all of my future oil change needs. Thank you all for the great service.
These guys got me in super quickly when I came in to get a safety inspection prior to registering my car in Texas. Its a little tricky to navigate the parking lot if its crowded, but there was very little wait time even with several people in line ahead of me. The staff know their stuff, drop in next time youre in the area.
I have gone to Valavoline for years and I had an oil change yesterday. They were short staffed and didnt seem to have things together... all be it they were very friendly and had great customer service.I got in my car this morning and my battery was dead! I went back up to Valavoline and they were very apologetic, but even the manager said they probably just forgot to check the battery, not offering a discount or free oil change next time, he proceeded to look my battery up in the system and quoted $199.99, tax not included. Unfortunately they didnt have any in stock. I called Walmart and they had TWO of my batteries and at the price point of $99!! I went to Walmart and had a new battery with friendly service in just over an hour! Ill be going to Walmart from now on for all my auto needs!

Excellent service here. Quick, efficient and courteous. You can stay in your car and watch them wrkng under your car on a large monitor. Highly recommend this place. I get text reminders and texted discount coupons when its time to get my oil changed. Like other places, they do try to up-sale you with filters, windshield wipers, etc, but they mention it once and leave it alone if youre not interested. Ive been going here for 10+ years and the quality of service has been very consistent.
Oil change and air filter service was fine. I also asked for a state inspection and we went through the inspection process, but they failed to charge me for it nor register the inspection with the state. Unfortunately, they did not provide a paper invoice at the time of service so there was no way for me to know that they never documented the inspection. I spoke with the manager who was not helpful at all, completely dismissive and just told me that I needed to come back for an inspection. I asked him if he could perhaps confirm with his service techs that the inspection was performed, but he declined. The guys that service the vehicles are courteous, but the manager is the disappointment.
Do not go here. Under any circumstance. Had my oil changed and drove to Houston. Smelled oil the whole way and noticed once I arrived they forgot to install oil cap. Incredible. What a joke.
Good Covid procedures everyone was wearing masks and you stay in your car. Got my state inspection done, windshield wiper fluid, and coolant done on my car in less than 6 minutes. Great professional service and very fast! Gonna come here each time from here on out!

I went for a simple oil change and they did it while I sat in my car. It was awesome. Very detailed on why you need to make certain changes to your car. They tell you exactly what you need. I never felt like I was over sold. Great customer service! Ill be back!
All of them were very nice, but I asked for a tire rotation (as they recommended it for my current miles and I have good, new tires and wanna get the most life out of them) and when the guy called out for a tire rotation, all the employees groaned. That was a little strange. And they all called me maam even though Im a guy and have a fairly deep voice. Also strange. Overall good experience, but Ill probably try another location next time as valvoline is usually much better than what this location had to offer.
The service and staff were quick and respectful. I knocked out my state inspection while I was getting an oil change and the inspection itself was pretty cheap, compared to other places that charge you 20 bucks or so. Coming back for the outstanding customer service and quick turnaround time.
These guys always take the time to look over my vehicle really well. They explain their procedures, execute well. Establishment is always really clean and the waiting room is always nice and cool, especially in this summer heat. My go to oil change shop. The excellent employees at this facility performed the best oil-and-filter change that I have ever received! Despite it being a Sunday afternoon, I did not have to wait at all for the process to begin, and the evaluations and replacements were completed in less than thirty minutes, while I sat comfortably in my car. The director also provided me with helpful information about my engine and gave me amazing discounts. I will definitely be returning for future oil changes!
This is my go to shop! I have even taking my 5th gen camaro ss here since I bought it and have not had any issues with the car at all. After that I now bring all my vehicals here for oil changes and regular maintenance. Rick is a great guy and all of the team are friendly and fast!

This is my place!!!! This is the only place that Ive gotten my cars oil changed since I moved to SA. They also do my inspections. On a non-busy day, Im in and out in 15 minutes. Its absolutely worth it. On a busy day, Ive waited 45 minutes, but the staff ia soooo kind and helpful, makes the wait worth the while. Always check Groupon, you never know if you can get a discount on the oil change.
I just needed a state inspection today, but very impressed with the service even during COVID! I was in and out in under 20 minutes - all bays were well prepared and provided timely service. I will definitely return for other services as needed! Great job!

Stayed in my car while they changed my oil, replaced wiper blades, and topped off wiper fluid. Really nice guys. They checked in with me before and after each step and showed me the dipstick once they changed out the oil. I was in and out in just over 20 minutes. Great experience!
A+++ service !!! had to get a oil change on my BMW X3 pulled in the shop got a full synthetic oil change , they didnt only changed the oil. filled my antifreeze, power steering, break fluid, light check low beam, high beam, signal lights, brake lights & ensure that their were no warning lights on the dash. Associates were friendly and professional they answered any questions i asked with no hesitation. Super recommend would not go to any place after this visit.

Specific shout out to the crew who worked April 1st, 2020. Went in for an inspection and they were professional and efficient. Couldnt have asked for an easier time. Plus they gave me a disposable mask when I forgot mine at home, free of charge.
I went to get an inspection for my wifes car so we could get a license sticker. They were fast and efficient and pleasant. The store also has the best oil change service in town. I brought in a BMW to be serviced on 6-24-19. The service I received was outstanding! The technician was very knowledgeable and explained the entire process and price. The entire staff was welcoming and had superior customer service. Time wise it was a quick process with a short wait time.

I usually get my oil changed at the dealership but tried these guys out and I guarantee you I will be back for oil changes and my inspection sticker. Today was my first time getting an oil change at this location, and I’m glad I came here! I always love the fact that you can stay in your car while your car is serviced with Valvoline but I especially appreciated the service I got! I wish I had gotten the names of the guys that helped me so I’m hoping their names were right on my receipt lol... Joshua, my CSR, was really great at helping me understand what was being done on my car and informed me of some great services I could get in the future. I loved the fact that I did not feel pressured to purchase said services but it was great to know what they were. John also helped in servicing my vehicle and he did a great job as well! Love the professional atmosphere and I enjoyed the fact that these guys don’t take themselves to seriously and were able to make me laugh while I was waiting... I will be returning to this location in the future! :)

This was my first time here..I always take my Audi suv to dealership but didnt want to drive so far away since I live 5 minutes from this Valvoline location ..took it in Friday afternoon , went home and Saturday morning there was a huge puddle of oil in my garage. Theres clearly no quality control since the staff is just trying to get you in and out asap. Returnd to the location and spent another hour sitting in my vehicle with engine off while they made things right. Simple repair thankfully!! Didnt tighten screw correctly. They made things right..unfortunately have to go to dealership eventually cause it turns out Valvoline cannot reset the oil light..only dealership can reset. So just should of taken care of oil change at dealership.

I was having a horrible Fourth of July weekend. I know it was written all over my face. I was on the phone with my sister during the entire oil change—which I would normally never do (because it’s rude)—but I was inconsolable, and this was the only time I had available to change my oil. I regretfully didn’t catch his name, but a white guy around 40 with copper-colored hair was so kind to me and understanding that I was just beside myself with gratitude. I’ll never go elsewhere for an oil change. NEVER!!
Went in for a standard oil change- they put air in my tires, added Anti-freeze, windshield washer fluid and let me know I had to change my air filter. I only had a seven dollar coupon for the oil change but they went ahead and gave me a $15 coupon. Once they finished changing the oil, they showed me the dipstick to verify they had done it all. Super honest and sweet. I was in and out in 20 minutes totalPrice breakdown:- $42.99 for conventional oil change (5 quarts standard oil + oil filter)- $15 off coupon (which they added themselves!)- $24.99 for air filter replacementTotal $56.49

My oil changes are generally 70-80$. Here it costs over 100$. Overpriced and they also tried recommending me a bunch of extra services i didnt need. They will try to oversell you. Just go to a trusted mechanic. They also damaged my car and cost me about 400$ in repairs and refuse to reimburse or even investigate at all. They just deny and refuse.Store manager didnt even know the difference between a lug bolt and a lug nut. Inexperienced people here
Courteous, professional, efficient crew, even though its never the same people. Look online for discounts, which are a little hard to find. I had a $10 one last time, and saw the man ahead of me cash out with a $15 one, so I asked him where hed found it. He showed me and I was able to call it up on my phone and got the same. Like all oil change places, they will try to push services on you that are usually unnecessary - air filter replacement, injector cleaning, etc. Just say no.
I recommend getting your oil changed here. The service is fast. And all the employees are friendly. You can even stay comfortably seated in your car. My tech was John. He was good.
Had car inspection done here recently for state registration renewal. They stated 45 minute wait and theyd call me when it was done (no worries here, it was near end of month and during lunch rush) - I waited across the street at Starbucks to read a book. Hour passes and no call, so I walked back over. Turns out my car was done (although I was never notified) but when they went to check me out, nobody had entered the work or inspection into their computer system. Employee had to redo/start from scratch on the spot and put his name in as the person who did the work so I could pay and leave. Overall not a complete fiasco but service was definitely not five star or four star. Could be more organized and professional.

This place is a rip-off. They tried to get me to pay for an upgraded oil change on my Chrysler Fiat, instead of the standard. In fact, the manufacturer recommends NOT getting the more expensive synthetic blend and this Valvoline told me I had to. They were also going to charge me $10 for the filter. Went to a different Valvoline where I only paid for the standard oil change and $7.00 for the filter. BEWARE!
I took my car to this location after purchasing a synthetic oil change from groupon for $49.99. When I arrived I told one of the technicians that I purchased the oil change from groupon. The tech was very rude and said they would be finished shortly. About 20 minutes later they told me they were finished and my car was ready. Didnt tell me if the oil levels were fine or exactly what they did. Then as I was walking to my car another technician approached and said I needed to pay the tax and I would be good to go. I didnt receive a receipt or even a stick on my window telling me when my next oil change could occur. Very poor service if you ask me. I have been to other locations that were a lot better. Shame.

Quick, polite and dang if I didnt laugh so much at the jokes (courtesy of another customer in bay 2) after a long day in my warehouse. Theres a REASON why I go here to this specific location every time! Small snafu with the cashout, but it was quickly corrected so its all good! Mistakes happen and we should all just be patient and chill these days (: Rocky and Cam are awesome! Didnt know the below deck techs but they deserve kudos too. My 08 civic thanks you!👏👏👏. My fiancé and I went to get his oil changed for the 1st time and I loved the fact we didnt have to get out of the car. The wait wasnt long and all of the employees were very friendly. I will be going to get my oil changed here from now on. Definitely recommend. I wish they had more locations throughout the city. Preferably in the Converse/Live Oak/Schertz-Cibolo area.
Do Not go here or any other valvoline place. In the process of getting an oil change they damaged my vehicle and then refused to repair it properly. i had to take it to the dealer to get my car repaired correctly then I had to take them to small claims court to get them to agree to reimburse me for the cost of that. I easily won the case, but now the corporate Valvoline people will not respond. so i havent gotten paid yet. It looks like i will have to go back to small claims court to get them pay me which i will do. they obviously hope i will just go away, but i will not. Its not right that they damage my vehicle and then expect me to pay hundreds of my own $ to fix something they damaged. Again, do not go there.
My wife and I have been customers for several years through multiple vehicles. The last time I was there (2-3 months ago) the technician left air filters improperly installed and was rushed. My wife went about the same time and said the person she worked with was rude to her. Im not sure what changed, but its unfortunate as previously we had very good experiences here.
The staff here are super fast and super nice. They didn’t try to force me to get a bunch of unnecessary work done and you can tell they want to give you the best price. Would definitely recommend.

No surprise, it was busy on a Friday afternoon. But it’s a gem, service is fast and the folks here do excellent work.
I would not recommend this location. My wife took my vehicle in for an oil change a couple of months ago. Last week, I ran out of windshield wiper fluid, which has never happened to me in the nearly nine years that I have had my vehicle. I figured it would be faster to buy some fluid myself and fill it up than to take it in to get the tank topped off. When I opened the hood, I saw that not only had the wiper fluid not been filled, but neither had the coolant, and neither of the caps to those tanks were in place. Thankfully I did not run out of coolant, but I was close. This lack of attention to detail is unacceptable, especially on a service that is supposed to be performed with all oil changes. It makes me wonder/worry what else they forgot to do. If you go here, make sure you check that all services are provided!
Even though Valvoline has a high employee turnover rate, whenever I take my SUV in always greeted with courteous, respectful, professional people. Plus the 15% off military discount helps out! The Alamo Heights location is the best.

I went for a vehicle inspection at Valvoline in Alamo Heights and they were quick at turning me away because they wanted a hard copy of my insurance. Since I dont make hard copies because nowadays its all paperless, I just decided to go to Valvoline at Hollywood Park and the staff there right away told me that if I didnt have a hard copy they would accept a pdf file so I got on the site and pulled my registration PDF file.
They are great friendly and know what theyre doing i love going and gettig service there ill go back again i would tell my freinds about it good job keep it up.
They were extremely fast and friendly...the timer was running from when i first entered on the car track...i had an oil change done, everything on car checked, air put in my tires and my wipers in the back changed all within 17 minutes...great service...i highly recommend them to anyone wanting fast and friendly service

BewareI went for an oil change at the end of Feb.2017. I paid for high mileage synthetic oil. But that is not what i received. They also said that my oil cap was broken and in pieces... i had to go to autozone to buy a temporary cover. I asked them to give me the pieces of the cap, it was obvious they were searching for words and could not provide me any pieces. I had work done on my van a couple weeks later. They said who does your oil change? I asked why, they said that the cheapest, thinest oil was used in my vehicle, the mechanic changed it again for me due to valvoline purposeful mistake. I will never return to valvoline on broadway rd. They did give me 5% off for losing my oil cap. The staff was friendly. But I did not get what i paid for!
I trust whatever they tell me is needed. They are so helpful + their recommendations for repairs have been excellent.

This place ruined my car. Went in for a routine oil change and one week later my car was in the shop because they loosened some of my parts and grease was leaking everywhere. My compressor was blown out because of this. This place owes me $1,000 in repairs.

Went in a couple months ago for a oil change as part of regularly scheduled maintenance for my truck. i even paid for the differential . however, yesterday i discovered that i did not have any oil in my truck. my valvoline sticker says that im still good for another 600miles. i just had to purchase a new battery and alternator. i dont know if that is a related problem due to no oil, but this is an inexcusable error on part of valvoline to not put enough oil if any in my truck when i went for the oil change. these people could have ruined my engine. stay away

DISHONEST! This place was good for many years, but on my last visit they charged me for an oil change without changing the oil, and falsified the mileage numbers to cover their tracks. Stay away!

2022-05-26Went here to get my state inspection done on a late Saturday morning. It was fairly busy but they approached my car and when I told them I was there for an inspection they quickly got it taken care of and gave me space to back out of the service line. Probably a total of 25 mins spent. Quick and friendly service. Would recommend this location.

2022-06-27Gave this place two chances for an oil change. First time I came early afternoon on a weekday and it was slammed. I waited in a line that didn’t move for about 15 minutes and had to give up because I had to return to work. That was understandable given my timing, but then I came back on a Sunday afternoon and there were only two cars in front of me, one of them being serviced. I waited at least 45 minutes for service and then despite the promise of oil changes taking about 15 minutes, it took about half an hour. I had previously gotten my oil changed in under 20 minutes at Jiffy Lube on a weekday afternoon, so I’ll probably be going back to them.

2022-07-19This place has the best customer service. The guys are honest about what your car needs and explain things clearly without making you feel like an idiot (this is huge for me!). They topped off all the fluids and put air in the tires but said no oil change was needed and they didn’t charge me a cent.I’ll never take my car anywhere else.

2022-07-25Great customer service, but the wait was the worst ever I waited in 1 lane for about an hour because the delay of the cars in front of me, while the other 2 lanes where moving pretty fast, I saw at least 6 cars that literally came 30 min after me come and go with fast service. I think they need to create 1 line so they can keep there customers in order as they come. . Since they have 3 lanes and 1 car holds them up they have their other 2 lanes moving and customers moving in order as they come in.

2022-06-10Came here today and all I requested was an oil change and I specifically asked that the sticker that marks the CORRECT due mileage.Guess what didn’t happen? Yep! They put the sticker that says I have to have an oil change in 3000 miles not 5000 miles like the synthetic oil says I need. Is this an honest mistake or a trick to have people come in 2000 early for their oil change???So I called the place after I left and they requested that I come back so they can grab a pen and manually write over their mistake.I requested that I get compensated for the extra gasoline I have to waste now because the young Mexican guy can’t follow directions. The young lady who took my phone call said I’d get a coupon for ten or fifteen dollars off but I think I’ll pass. I shouldn’t have to go back and waste time off work and $5/gallon gasoline because they’re too busy trying to upsell you other services when all I asked from the get go was an oil change and the correct mileage on the sticker. Get the oil change part right before thinking about my blinkers and wipers.I’d like a free oil change not $10 off.
