Where do I start… if I could give them a 0 star review I would. I have been renting with UDR for the past 2.5 years, they are by far the worst property management company I have ever encountered. I would stay far away from any of the properties that they manage. They are unwilling to address any of the issues that they are presented with by their residents, unresponsive to requests, and unwilling to help. They only care about collecting your rent payments and do not care about anything else. I would also go as far as, this place is very unsafe and has gotten very ghetto over the past year. Stay away from living here!!!!!!
This community deserves 0 stars. Highly unsafe, and the property management is terrible (especially April). I was assaulted by another community resident (Resident of Apt 1-578) and the property management did not evict the resident despite them having a warrant out for Assault (very contrary to the lease). There are also drug deals easily seen by residents in Phase 2. There are constant vehicle break-ins with no resolution due to no working cameras. Police officers are constantly being called to this community for fights, shootings, and domestic abuse cases involving residents. This complex is a breeding house for criminals and I would advise everyone to stay away.
This is definitely a great place to live! The only two things I’m unhappy about are my neighbors upstairs who make a lot of noise (I submitted a noise complaint and never heard anything back) and the fact that I didn’t get a move-in special. As a matter of fact, I was told that UDR doesn’t do move-in specials… weeks later I saw a rent special that was $500 off the first month for new renters. Go figure!
I lived here from May 2018 - January 2021. When I first moved in, it was great since the place was being leased out as floors were finished, it was mostly empty. Brian Z. was in the front office at the time and he was the best leasing professional - he always resolved any issues that came up (and there were A LOT). As the place filled up, unfortunately the lack of respect from residents and nearby residents of other complexes trashed the property. Drunk and disorderly conduct was a weekly occurrence. Broken doors, broken garage gates, false fire alarms AND real fire alarms but not knowing if it was a malfunction or a real threat, the constant odor from the trash. The building accommodates way more people than what the trash chutes/rooms were seem designed to hold. The office staff had a lot of turnover and always seemed understaffed vs the number of residents on the property. CRIME - car theft, tire theft, etc. often times the office did not even alert residents about all the crime occurring on the property. I moved here because it was really close to work and felt safe. Eventually I was able to get a new job and move elsewhere but would have sooner as I was constantly looking over my shoulder and worried for my personal safety. Also - when the nearby park does the annual Christmas light display, be prepared to plan your entire month around that because the traffic around the complex is horrendous. If you do have to live here because you don’t currently have another option, make sure to read the lease front to back, sign up for all apartment alerts to stay ahead of any rule or policy changes, make notes, photograph & video record everything before and after moving out, put everything in writing and confirm, never pay late. I could not in good faith, recommend this apartment or leasing company to anyone.
Just moved in. It’s been a week so far and I just have a few comments.Leasing: I came to this complex once and when I came I was given instructions to go tour apartments because I choose the self guided tour which honestly is a game changer. I don’t like touring with people because I like to take my time and don’t want to feel rushed. So it was a walk, but the workout is good LOL. One of the codes weren’t working on the door and I saw a maintenance man close in the garage and I asked him for helped. He helped me get in and that was the first positive sign I got.Upon leasing, I came back a few days later after touring other complexes around but their pool and the amenities they had on site sold me. I would like everywhere else I went to tour but they wouldn’t have all the amenities this complex had so I would end up disappointed. I came back and I was met with Taylor.Taylor is a really good leasing agent. He’s great at his job. He talked me through all the different floor plan options. I was so undecided because they have SO MANY FLOOR PLANS and I liked them all minus the fact that some of them didn’t have a patio which to me wasn’t really a deal breaker after moving in because my living room is MASSIVE. I probably sat there for two hours trying to decide and I loved the initiative Taylor took to talk me through all the floor plans. His tone NEVER changed a bit. I can feel vibes and I never felt rushed, I never felt uncomfortable. He just talked me through everything as if he’s talking to a friend and I really appreciated that. Ultimately if Taylor wasn’t in the office, I wouldn’t have leased here. His presence is just so reassuring and I’m very appreciative of that because of him I decided to lease here and I looked and leased the same day. When I came back to submit my money order, I was met with Hayley. Now Hayley is a rockstar. Her multi-tasking skills is on point. There was so many people in the room looking to lease and she handled everybody with grace and I sat there in awe of how well she does her job. I think one thing I appreciate about the staff in this current complex is their patience and effectiveness. Hayley was super nice, helped me with all the details I needed for move in, was really nice to my cousin I brought in as well. I don’t know coming from the hell of a complex I came from and dealing with rude staff Taylor and Hayley is the example of what leasing agents should be. People want to feel welcomed, wanted and that you care about their needs not just their money. Hayley and Taylor both are awesome people. Now on to maintenance. Lol. This one shocked me. I put in a maintenance request because my door kept getting jammed. I filled it in the evening prior I believe and they came the next day. The guy was nice, efficient and was done in less than 5 minutes. Surprising because where I’m coming from (Neo Midtown) my AC has been broken 5 times during this summer and they keep patch working and I’m suffering in heat. The best decision I ever made was to move here. I moved in 3 weeks early. My lease hasn’t even expired in my other complex. That’s how much I liked this place.I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time but I’ve been so busy but honestly I’m reading the bad reviews and I’m wondering which complex are they actually talking about. People complaining about a bug problem but I’ve not seen one bug. Maybe you or your neighbors are dirty and you’re getting their bugs 😂 where I live I’ve not heard any noise, it’s pretty quiet on my floor I’m always scared I’m the one making noise with my cart. I’ve not had any issues with parking other than the fee for a reserved which isn’t really mandatory but I still feel we shouldn’t be paying for parking but hey again, it’s not a big deal. I’d take this place 10,000 over where I came from. Also the appliances. I’m in love. I’ll update as I go but honestly. This was a huge upgrade from where I came and I LOVE IT here.If you’re moving here put me as a referral so I can get a discount 😂 thank you.
Living at the Vitruvian West has been the worst decision Ive ever made. It literally feels like I live in the ghetto. People hanging around the community that doesnt live here. Multiple break-ins and shootings. Just Friday it was a fight at the pool with broken liquor bottles. Obviously, theyre just accepting anyone who applies. I cant wait until my lease is up. I am running out of the ghetto!!!
Pros:- Nice finishes in apartments- Decent gym- Front office staff is nice, though had already changed in the months after Id moved inCons:- Frequent car break-ins and vandalism (see attached photos of two vehicles parked in the parking deck on wood blocks, taken on March 17, 2019)- Luxury rent, but college apartment issues- Parking deck is too compact, and its frustrating to navigate on a daily basis- Trash areas require you to use your key fob at least twice to access via two sets of heavy doors if coming from apartment, then the trash rooms are often piled up with trash (imagine doing all this while carrying two heaping bags of trash)- Recycling is not a chute along with the trash, but rather some bins on the first level (the Savoye across the street had them in two chutes together)- Fire alarms have gone off on average once a month; there has yet to be an actual fire—the first one was a malfunction of the sprinkler system (circa September 2018) at 2:00 a.m.- Must pay a separate fee for a parcel box; I do not have one, so I always have to pick up packages from another locationSome of these cons could be chalked up as growing pains, but I tend to think an apartment complex should be at its best when its new—at least, that was my hope in moving into a brand-new complex like Vitruvian West in 2018. What Ive found instead is a poorly-designed layout for parking (seems like no biggie, except thats a daily hassle that accumulates like a snowball of frustration over time); frequent issues with things that luxury apartments should not have; and a layout with heavy doors and key fobs that serves to complicate residents entering and exiting, yet proves a poor deterrent against crime within the complex.
I live across the street in another UDR apartment complex and I wanted to possibly work for Vitruvian West back in August and I actually got a phone interview from their recruiter and the phone interview was going fine UNTIL.. the so-called recruiter told me I should go back to my previous job before Covid hit?? I have NEVER in my life had a job trying to give another job a chance to get me over them? She stalled after that trying to drill me on the phone asking things that had nothing to do with the job role. I literally only answered 3 of the 15 questions she was suppose to ask. Extremely unprofessional and right after I seen a few reviews mentioning about this location not have good customer service skills and thats exactly what my resume showed that I had 10+ years experience in that and that recruiter called for that just to only never ask about it. Complete trash get a WHOLE NEW TEAM.
Save yourself the stress and money by choosing any other apartment complex... I lived here for 15months. They have started penny pinching where they can and you can notice the reduced quality of everything. The staff at the leasing office are very rude and confrontational. Also, about 3 months before the end of my lease I received a call from one of their reps asking if I would be renewing. I informed them I would not be renewing my lease. Then come move out they hit me with a $1200 fine for not letting them know I was moving out.... You would think that telling them that would be good enough but nope - they said Sorry the lease says you have to give us a written notice - fair, just disgruntled with it.Pros:- Service guy is great and fast- Pool is nice- Good locationCons:- Fire alarms go off at random times.- Bad communication with the residents- Pool closed random days with no heads up- Only allow 2 guests for the pool per resident- Phase 1 garage elevator always smell off
Ive been counting the days to move off this place since day 1. We relocated to this property from Fiori because we needed a 3 bdr apartment. We though that since it is the same management company we wouldnt have any problems. This has been the worst living experience of my life! The leasing team lacks the most basic skills of human interaction, even though theyve change teams at least 2 times since we moved here almost a year ago.Security is definitely an issue and the management has ignore the residents request or call for security. A car is stolen from the garage every other day, the fire security system is not reliable, theres no control regarding non-residents that are continuously creating disruptions. We have people from the whole neighborhood just walking and using the pool. You can see large groups of people parking on the street and just walking into the pool, carrying coolers and huge sounds systems like is a hotel pool. Management only reaction was to close the pool during the mornings, opening only in the afternoons, depriving us the residents, of using the facilities we pay a hight price tag for. Management doesnt answer emails or calls, is just ridiculous.I could go on an on...but is not even worth it.
I’ve lived here a year and I have really mixed feelings about this place. The property is gorgeous and the location is excellent, however there’s more bad than good here. The parking garage gates are always broken and anybody can easily access the property. My car was broken into and the window was busted out. When I notified the management company, I was treated with such disrespect. I asked if they could send maintenance to help me clean the glass so nobody’s tires would pop, and I was told to do it myself and that somebody would come “eventually in a couple days” to make sure it was taken care of. Also when I got notified my lease was ending soon and I was given an offer to resign the staff was so slow to communicate back with me. To add to the issues, the fire alarms go off what seems to be once a month in the middle of the night. Staff has also misplaced money orders and checks, which can be resolved but is a pain to do when you don’t have time to fix other peoples mistakes. Between the high rate of crime here and uncleanliness (and unprofessional and rude staff) I wouldn’t recommend living here until they get these BASIC issues fixed.
Pretty good place to call home for the next 4 months! First night we had a water leak in the ceiling but maintenance was awesome! Christopher was so nice and quick to fix it! Only complaint I have is the people driving about 30mph in the parking garage! Slow down would you because I’d like to live to see my kids grow up. Anyways it’s a beautiful home inside and out. Definitely recommend this place for singles. Thank you
The staffs here are unhelpful and inpatient all the time. We paid everything on time but we got nothing resolved when we meet problems. I will definitely move out from here after our lease expires. We moved out two weeks ago and received a bill charging us more than $500 for carpet replacement. We sent more than 3 emails to ask where and which room is the stain spot at and no one answered this question. They just kept sending us the bill.
I would never, ever recommend this place to anyone. My roommate and I had water damage in a bathroom that was painted over, consider the construction of building one is AWFUL. It was hastily put together, leaving the residents to suffer years later. A prime example: My neighbors apartment flooded 3 times. They also had roaches and the back gate is NEVER locked, which is a safety concern. Several other neighbors in building one experience similar construction and bug issues. The way the building was thrown together really shows. There were several electrical problems in my unit, to which the maintenance crew had no idea what they were doing and had to call someone else (which is fine, but the apartment complex management said it would be the next week before it was fixed. Long story short, we raised enough concern to convince them that we needed electricity sooner than ‘next week.’).I can overlook some of the bad things that happened but I cannot overlook poor a management. The one good person left a few months after we moved in and since then, it has been an absolute circus. One friend/neighbor broke their lease because they were treated so poorly. Another neighbor had a laundry list of issues and the DM, April, was insanely rude and dismissive of her claims and continuous problems, blatantly ignoring factual evidence of her issues and trying to pin more fees on to my neighbors issues. Every time I went into the office, the ladies there gave me attitude. Granted, the staff changed regularly so who knows what you’ll get when you show up.All in all, this was a terrible place to live and I was so happy when my lease ended. The best thing about this place was the pool, which is the only thing I will miss.
Absolutely terrible complex, never knew there was section 8 housing that’s being offered here, the amount of break ins is extremely alarming, followed by the multiple shootings that occurred after hours at the pool area, I would not recommend this facility to single females or families for that matter wouldn’t recommend to literally anyone, would actually warn you to stay away, mass amounts of drug related activity, parking garage cameras cover very limited to no activity leading to personal automobile vandalism in the parking garage as well as unprotected assault and extremely poor management delegation towards conflict resolutions
I dont even want to give one star for this apartment. I just moved in and i already dont like this place. I dont know if they do pest control or not but roaches keep coming out from laundry room. Also, parking spaces are too limited so I dont even get it why they getting the parking fee. If me and my roommate asking about something, office always trying to charge us first. Also, non-residents are keep coming in to the complex and they blocking garage entrance. It happens every single night. One time I was trying to get into garage so I had to go to the wrong way and one car was coming down so I almost was gonna hit the car. One star is only for maintenance staff. Hes the only person who is quick and efficient worker of vitruvian west. Trust bad reviews here that would be helpful for you to stay calm. Please be aware of overpriced and extra charges.
No control at all on garage access and no car gets towed even if they dont have a property tag. South gate frame is broke basically anyone can enter property. Courtyard on building one has a health hazard, a fountain not draining properly and overflood, flooring with mold , mosquito situation getting out of control and management have not fix the situation already 3 months.
I went and did a self-guided tour. I also brought my mother, who is a leasing agent at another Dallas complex. We found the tour to be very difficult to navigate. We came back to the office several times to ask for help and directions. You would think with the amount of times we came back, someone would just take us to where we were wanting to look. Eventually, we gave up on the self guided tour because we could not get into one of the buildings. When we went back to the office to explain that the key they gave us was not letting us in the doors and that we were leaving, they didnt really know what to say other than Okay Im sorry. If they were really interested in selling their apartments, I figured they would offer to take me themselves to go look at the apartments I wanted to see. If the staff doesnt seem interested in selling to potential residents, then why would I be drawn to the apartment complex? That right there was the deal breaker for me.
We lived here 2 years and overall it was fine. It’s overpriced for what you get though. The big frustration for me recently was the new staff giving you false and misleading information and then lying about doing so. Another thing is the crime in the garage, multiple times cars have been stolen, and entire rims and tires leaving cars on wood blocks. The pool is also extremely crowded with speakers blasting and glass bottles. There is no valet trash either. One time there was dog poop in a hallway for weeks and no one picked it up (shame on that owner first of). Overall, it’s a fine place to live, but for what you pay I wouldn’t recommend.
The place here is beautiful. It’s a little over priced if you ask me, but the location on the park makes it amazing! I’ve only had a few problems. I live in the second phase.1.) The location of the mail room is super inconvenient and the mail man loses my packages ALL THE TIME.2.) the doors only have 1 lock. It’s a digital lock. I’m used to having 2 locks, I.e. a lock on the handle and a dead bolt or 2 dead bolts. No this door has 1 lock.3.) the construction people keep dropping nails and screws in the garage. I have had to buy 3 new tires. I have proof of running over the nails and screws in the parking garage. I took pictures of the same strip of nails used in the nail guns the construction company is using. Discount tire has pulled that same type of strip of nails out of 3 tires. My latest tire adventure was 2 days ago. I ran over a screw on the 3rd floor. Instant flat. I called and emailed more pics to the office. They informed me there’s nothing they can do. They have the construction crew cleaning up the parking lot. But they aren’t reliable for fixing my tire.... whatever.4.) the trash shoots are ridiculously small. Small enough that everyone just piles their trash in the trash room. It’s gross. The front office staff are super attentive and very nice to work with and the respond super quick to emails. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk!
I love the area and the community. The amnesties are literally like living in a resort. But they have got to do something about office staff. Very unresponsive, no follow thru. Send one person paperwork and it never makes it to your file. I literally had to do it multiple times even the day I moved in. After hour on phone trying get everything together, show up to get keys and again have paperwork issues. There is phase 1 &2, this Kay sound dumb but asked about dog spa and they said “ that’s only for phase 2 tenants! Why? What’s the difference?Outside if the area is amazing, the people in the community are super nice. Pick your battles really.
Just moved in about a month ago! Love this place Jacquelyn & Victoria made moving in SO SMOOTHLY. Big thanks to them! I had a light out in my storage unit... and almost immediately the light was fixed by maintenance. Great team here! Thank you Armando too! And Cedric (security) at the pool. The POOL HERE IS AMAZING!!!! And all the amenities rock. Also the location is phenomenal- you can walk to the grocery store, park, and restaurants/ bars. It’s perfect. I love Vitruvian park! Great place to live.
Let me start by saying that I do not live on this property but I did a self guided tour. The staff did not seem very friendly to their residents which was automatically a red flag and our leasing agent seemed as if he didnt want to be bothered. The amenities are beautiful and they offer a lot of lounging areas. However, as we walked around we noticed lots of trash scattered around the property and an unpleasant smell. The elevator was broken and we had to go to the fifth floor. They do not offer garden tubs and most of their floor plans offer a stand up shower but the finishes in the shower look very cheap. We tried to ask the agent who assisted us but he said we would only find tile floors in a shower in a 1970s home which is very inaccurate so that further lets me know that the staff is not knowledgeable of their jobs. The trash chute was overflowing on one of the floors and I heard a few residents say that they have difficulty with parking and break-ins. I asked them because I trust people who live there over the staff. The layout of the apartment wasnt that of luxury living. It is very much that of a standard apartment complex but does not give the upscale lifestyle that you may be looking for. The prices are ok but no t for what is being offered. I wish them the best of luck and hope this helps anyone who may be interest in taking a tour.
I heard many good things about this complex and I was excited to check it out on 8/5/2020 , my wife called and set an appointment told them our goal move in date and they told her they had some available for that day . When we got there for the appointment they greeted us but didn’t acknowledge us, I was wearing a work shirt for a remodeling company I own as I just finished up at work , and I feel as if they discriminated off of what I wearing . When they set us down they told us they didn’t have apartments available on our desired move in date ( even though on the phone they said they did ) and didn’t even bother to tour us , instead offered to reschedule the appointment for more than a month later . They didn’t even give us rough pricing of info other than the app and admin fee . I’m extremely disappointed. At 23 I own one of the Top 25 remodeling companies in Dallas and it saddens me that what I feel like was based on my appearance I didn’t feel welcomed in a complex I have no problem affording .
Currently in a one bedroom with my partner and baby. The one bedroom apartment has enough space for a king bed and a crib which is a must! These apartments are perfect for a small family or a single person.Love how big the apartment complex is- I can stroll my daughter all around to the visitor lounge, outdoor grill unit and pool view for a quick outdoor experience. The apartment is very secure; no one can come in without a key sensor.10/10 recommend.
I am in the portion of the complex that is brand new and still being finished. All of the apartments are very nice and the amenities are about as good as it gets.It is probably the most sound proof apartment that I have been in. I have an upstairs neighbor, a neighboor on one side and the mail room on the other side. It is rare that I can hear anything from any of them. The maintenance guy is awesome as well. Always stops when he sees you and asks if everything is good with the apartment.
This place has had more vehicular vandalism than most older, and lower cost apartments. My wife and I have also had numerous packages stolen where we couldnt get a refund due to staffs lack of cooperation with surveillance investigation. They only care about your contract and money. I forgot to mention that theres terrible weed smoke smell in the halls and violent attacking dogs that are allowed. Trust me, go somewhere else. Management and staff can suck an egg.
Jaquelyn and Christina have been really helpful in getting adjusted and settled into this new community for me. The entire process of getting in was well managed. Covid is really testing businesses and Vitruvian West is taking all measures to provide a safe environment for all of us to continue enjoying - in a limited matter, but none the less with safety in mind. I have friends in surrounding complexes and I honestly dont see myself anywhere else other than here. its an amazing place to live with amazing who are genuinely happy of being here. You can see the interest of keeping this place in order :) its a beautiful community and management does well in staying on top of things. I see it everyday, the upkeep and engagement is the icing on the cake.If youre looking for a new place - this is going to be it.
Si habla espanol ven a visitar a Christina el mejor servicio en el mundo! Maravilloso. El mejor empleado aquí y puede ayudar con su apartamento encontrar necesidades.----I am so happy to live here. Christina is the best employee at Vitruvian West. She is so helpful and is on top of the latest things there. She helped me move fast. She was honest and transparent of what everything would be and cost. In any large apartment you will have something go wrong. If you find a perfect apartment run away. However, this one is close to perfect as possible. They are on top of things here. They fix anything wrong fast- I did not have anything go wrong. The area is right across the street from the park - hello green grass during quarantine. The pool is monitored and they even have after hours security. Honestly if I had went off the previous reviews I wouldnt have lived here. I am happy I took a chance on this perfect dream home! I was also happy to know they officially promoted Christina to resident service coordinator I can tell she is going to be the best investment Udr has had at this property based on previous reviews.-J Campanioni
I found this complex with the help of a locator and the building/community speaks for itself. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to call home. From the moment I arrived the staff has been wonderful, and I had the privilege of working with Christina who throughout my move has gone above and beyond what you would normally expect. The amenities are top notch and you’re close to everything. Overall, the choice to move here might be the best thing to happen in 2020!
Ive seen some mixed reviews about the apartments here and wanted to give my take.Pros:- I like how the apartments are set up floor plan-wise, and the granite/stainless steel appliances. Im sure you can find this in most luxury apartments, but so far everything has been clean and working or replaced immediately if it hasnt.- Great maintenance service: I just re-signed and moved to a bigger unit and there were a decent amount of small issues that needed to be fixed (ice maker not working, floors extremely scratched up, new bulbs etc.). All were fixed within the week.- Awesome gym and pool. Definitely one of the better gyms Ive seen at an apartment complex recently, and the pool is gorgeous. I do wish they would be cleaned/maintained more, but theyve made efforts to do that (i.e. pool was recently cleaned).- Keyless fobs makes life easier all around.Cons:- (Potential) Ive heard others complain about the garage parking and some vehicle break ins, but personally Ive never had any issues. The $20/month is a bit annoying, but Im happy for covered parking and theres always spots available when I come home in the evening.- At the old unit, it was always noisy above me (upstairs neighbor wearing steel toe boots?). I havent had any issues with neighbors on the side, but I do wish the walls were thicker.- The trash rooms are gross. Good news is we dont live in the trash rooms. I personally dont think this is a maintenance issue though, theyve posted signs and I see workers carting bigger trash items down weekly. I think its more the people who live here and blatantly dont care that just throw their trash anywhere. All in all, 5 stars for exceptional service, easy transitions and quick responses. Shout out to Bryan at the front and all of the maintenance workers who made everything so easy!1 year later edit:Still living here! Moved to the new phase (phase II). A few more pros/cons to add to the list which dropped my rating a bit.Pros:- New construction, the actual apartment looks great. I wish there was more closet storage, but weve made do.- Pool & gym are still awesome and theyve cracked down on who can come into the pool. Not as many random people and its clean/quiet.- Office took time to respond to my surveys/request and communicate their desire to continually improve.- Trash rooms are less trashy at the new phase. Yay for residents who pick up after themselves.Cons:- (Temporary?) Do not move here if you like sleeping in. The construction takes place at all hours of the day and night. 7 AM on Saturdays, 11 PM cement truck drop offs on Tuesdays, and everything in between. Theyve finally moved to another side of the building, but its frustrating. Upside: construction will at some point be complete?- Walls/floors still suck and our upstairs neighbors are the type to move furniture around and yell at each other at 3 AM on a Wednesday. Be smart and move to the top floor.Still keeping the 5 stars.
Management did not even bother to show some effort in addressing concerns from the residents.Construction noise is excessive, which is fine for me, but you can feel the building shaking during construction hours. I raised the concern with the office and asked if there were any measurements to minimize the impact. Then I got standardized reply in a few minute which I quote there is nothing the management can do and there is no way to minimize. This is just among the few issues I was disappointed by the management, such as the lost deliveries which I am sure many other reviews also mentioned. For sure I am moving out in the next two months.
We visited Viturvian West community back in October 2020. We fell in love with phase 2 and applied for that unit and signed the lease right away. Victoria was our original leasing agent that assisted us with everything, she was very helpful. Our move in date was for December 2020. We were notified ONE week before we moved in that our unit wouldn’t be ready until February due to appliance delays. So April gave us options, one being able to transfer to one unit that was move in ready. So we agreed that was fine because what other option did we have with a weeks notice? She then basically re-ran us and made us do the whole 9 again which didn’t make any sense. We already signed a lease and was later offered another unit since ours wasn’t ready like promised. Therefore, we assumed it would be a simple transfer over since our unit was held up. We weren’t reapplying for a new unit we had no option but the one given. After she re-ran us we then needed a co-signer, which was an inconvenience in itself finding someone that very day. Our co-signer didn’t get approved and we weren’t offered an additional deposit to pay or anything like that. We then had less than a week to find a home which is next to impossible. The whole reason we apartment searched in October (2 months prior) was to avoid problems such as these. I am 6 months pregnant and this has been a terribly stressful experience for us. Several people in the office were thrown at us to assist and everyone seemed to be on a completely different page, with many different excuses that just did not add up. They had to re-run our information several different times because there were mistakes made on their part. Let’s pray to God they weren’t hard credit runs; hitting our credit back to back. Which would prove the credit drop that they caused and that being the reason we were denied.. Thats proof enough that they had no clue what they were doing. Christina said the community re-runs everyone before they move in? I’m not sure how that’s logical.. so the day we pick up our keys, we would have been re-ran just to be denied and homeless that same day? We later viewed the complex next door, Addison Apartments At the Park that shares their same management and they said it’s false, they do not re-run anyone after lease is signed and that doesn’t sound right. Corporate wasn’t much help, they just passed me back to April to hear the same ol story. We then just wanted the admin fee back and April tried to tell us it was $80 and not $160... I then had to send proof so that we got the correct amount back which was ANOTHER unnecessary inconvenience. So again, shocked on how many things went wrong with multiple staff in the office. Wouldn’t recommend this community to my worst enemy. This all could have been avoided if a single person in the office knew how to do their job or if Victoria had continued to help. None of this would have been that big of a deal if they had given us a reasonable time frame with the heads up and not A WEEK before we were scheduled to move in. Everyone knows the process of searching for an apartment and applying takes more than a week.. so it blows my mind how they were so inconsiderate on their mistake.
Ive lived here for about a year, and I absolutely adore this place. The staff has always been super kind and helpful. Armando always helped me get back into my apartment when I locked myself out, and Christina always makes doing paper way more fun then it should be. Thank yall for this wonderful year!
A wonderful place to live. The maintenance staff are quick and efficient. Management is always willing to help. Never had an major issues. Also has a great park across the street and lots of free outdoor events! Would definitely move back to this location if we were to move back to Addison!
Staff is a joke and do anything but have no problem collecting your rent. I can’t wait to move from here when my lease is up worst lease mistake I have made. I have had to put in several request for the same issues so that means when they coming out they are only patching it up and not actually fixing it! My upstairs neighbors are so loud I complained several times and nothing has happened my neighbors wake me up every night well after midnight by stomping walking loudly talking loud playing their tv loud disturbing me and the staff has done nothing. Parking is a joke and the garage is very tight not enough a space for two cars to navigate at the same time and people speed in the garage I have almost gotten hit several times. There are never any apartment activities
This place has improved a lot since first opening, and I think it will continue to do so as they get things organized! The only real negative I have is when I moved in I had a bad experience and was told the manager would contact me and have still never heard from her. The rest of the staff has been great though- Madison is always super knowledgeable and helpful and Chad is an absolute day maker! The apartments themselves are nice and the pool and gym are great. Overall I enjoy living here.
DO NOT LIVE HERE.There are so many reasons you should avoid this apartment complex at all costs. I so wish we wouldve decided to break our lease sooner to get out.1. Safety - high amount of crime, car break-ins/vandalism (some have been done by residents living there/our truck got broken into), and illegal drugs (have found needles in the stairwells before). The doors and gates to the garage are always broken, non-residents park on the street and try to follow you in, a lot of non-residents getting in the building/pool, and cops get called a lot. This was my biggest concern and one of the main reasons I left, I simply did not feel safe walking around here, especially at night. I had to fight management the first few months I lived here to get some more lighting/security lights around the building as it was absolutely dark on Westgate Dr.2. Community - the quality of residents: the people that live here treat the place like trash literally (leave trash everywhere) throw big parties, are super loud, invite tons of guests, and do lots of drugs (lots of people smoke on their porches even though it is a non-smoking complex). These are not classy people and management definitely has not done anything to help change the community here as they dont take care of this bad behavior/absolute disrespect of the property.3. Cleanliness - to put it simply, the apartments I lived at in college with a bunch of college kids were 10x more clean than Vitruvian West. The hallways, garage, doors, trash area, elevators, stairs are disgusting. I always felt dirty after walking around. There is trash, spilled liquid from trash, and dog feces and urine everywhere (in the building, on the sidewalks outside, onetime found dog poop in the 2nd floor of the community center.) One time it took the cleaning crews almost an entire week to clean up some dog urine in my hallway. Besides this, just the never ending smell of trash from mismanagement of it just adds to the whole unpleasant experience of living at Vitruvian West. Also I think the building has a black mold problem, always had some growing in our apartment & maintenance could never seem to fix it.)All of this goes to say, I did not have a good quality of life living at Vitruvian West and a lot of other residents I spoke too would tell you the same thing. Sure, there are some people out there that probably dont mind this place, but they are also probably also the ones that are trashing it/dont respect the property. So if you are looking for nice, safe, and clean luxury living in Addison, this is not the place. Management was always making empty promises that things would get better and they never did. And if there were all these problems with the first phase, theres no telling how bad it will get with the new 300+ units that got added this summer in phase 2.This place had so much potential when I moved in in 2018 but went downhill so quick. The pool and gym were really nice, the apartments themselves werent bad (had nice finishes) and I loved the location living next to Vitruvian Park. I feel bad writing this review but I feel like I should warn people of this place so they dont have to go through what we went through. I hoping that management can get things turned around ASAP at Vitruvian West and that future residents have a much better experience living there than we did!(P.S. Bryan Ziegler is awesome!)
If youre considering moving here, consider my review and other reviews left from previous tenants as a final warning. These are not exaggerations.I would not recommend living here for various reasons:-fire alarms would fluke and constantly go off in the middle of the night-various break ins from the garage. The gate would remain broken for many weeks while waiting on a part. Tires and wheels would be stolen off various vehicles-those cameras installed do not actually work. Why wasnt the perpetrator caught?-they claim to do many events but only tell you to entice you to sign-expect a pool monitor to police you around and remain on premise until 10 p (childish)-security staff is never there. If they did their job, why do we have break ins?- elevators were never kept clean. What are the cleaning ladies even cleaning?- if you have a dog, this is not the place for you. No dog park. Hardly any grass unless you take the elevator all the way down and hope your dog can hold it while making the journey-breezeways are dusty and unkept-youll find dead bamboo everywhere in those large pots. They claimed to have hired a new landscaping company-rent too high! $2,500 for a three bedroom and you want me to pay for reserved parking halfway into my lease and then you tell to pay an additional $30 on top of the $20 I pay per month just to not have a reserved spot.-lack of community engagement- because of lack of air controlled hallways, expect your electricity bill to be high. I ran my A/C on 78 degrees and it was still expensive. Oncor fees are outrageous.-expect to have good communication with leasing agents but once you sign the lease, dont expect for them to reply to your emails or concerns- when it rains, expect your living room to flood and water to come in through the windows. They claimed to have fixed this, but I work from home and no one ever came into the unit to repair this.- power rent out during a wind storm earlier this year. It took them FIVE days to get the power back on while their other communities had electricity within hours. Threatened to go into everyones unit to double check if we threw out the food. Extreme? Im an adult, not a child.Yes this apartment is brand new which would entice you to want to move here. But dont. Trust me. Save your money and keep looking.Oh and dont damage their carpet remotely. They will charge you for carpet removal for all of the bedrooms since they need it to all match with age.I bet they pass the price off to the previous tenant and tell them that they have to replace all of the carpet but in reality, they dont replace all of the carpet and just the one room impacted. They charged me nearly $1,200 for one room that had badly damaged carpet in comparison to the other two rooms that were left in immaculate condition.
You can never get a hold of the leasing office... they renovate things that dont need it but refuse to fix what does. They have been repainting the walls and resident doors and told us to remove our place mats next week however, these people they hired havent been using tarps or painters tape so a lot of them have been ruined already. They also do so much of the area at once that the entire place constantly smells like toxic paint. Most residents have pets and young kids who can get really sick from the strong stench. They also charge a monthly pest control fee but the pest control never shows up and when they do they just go in and leave a flyer and leave (I have security footage showing this) they advertise as this high end apartment and sneak in a lot of additional charges that other places dont (residential parking, package delivery, etc.) This place is nothing more then a money grab DONT MOVE HERE!!! You can also hear all your neighbors all the time and they can hear you so no privacy and no silence ever.
Horrible experience at this place,My husbands truck got stolen including some other vehicles, its a hot spot for Auto theft. When we asked for help the leasing office did not wanted anything to do with us, These are the exact words I hope you got your self a good insurance they charge $20 pr. car for parking in the garage but none of the security cameras are working. Please save your self time and money and stay away from this place.
***Just as a word to the wise, the complex manager asked all residents on the resident portal to give a 5-star Google rating, send a screenshot, and then they would be entered for a raffle for a gift card. This was done to raise the more accurate 2-star average of the complex prior to August 2020. Any too good to be true sounding 5-star review from late August 2020-Current is from a resident trying to win a gift card and one should ignore entirely. As someone with knowledge of this complex, I would say that I cant really poke too many holes in some of the negative reviews and that they are actually quite accurate. Would read all reviews carefully and come to your own conclusion. In my opinion, as someone who lived here, some key takeaways from the reviews should be:-Nice apartments-Fees for everything (fee for parking, larger fee than most for trash but there is no valet here, fee for packages, etc.)-Management is awful-There is one maintenance man for two 300 (?) unit buildings-Large portion of the residents are truly unclassy and are the type that are loud/obnoxious/trash the place and really overshadow the nicer people that live here. They are the type that can, and often do, ruin entire amenities such as the pool and gym.-And yes, there is a surprising amount of crime that occurs on-site (cars keep getting stolen.)
I don’t recommend staying here!! Move-in process was horrible and the office was closed during my scheduled move-in time. Management is horrible and very difficult to get in contact with. Our washer dryer unit was broken and it took them weeks to fix it. You have to call multiple times to get them to address issues. You pay for gated parking yet there are car break ins and other security issues frequently.
Worst customer service and staff, they are happy to take your money and lock you down in a lease, but will absolutely not help you when you need help.Beware of hidden charges and fees. The pool is nice but always random people coming in and lots of drunk people and fights. The leasing office does not care.
Christina Riesco is probably the most incompetant agent I have ever experienced. Not one email answered. Every time I try to call her they say she is always busy. She never responds and has an attitude when she is actually reached. The apartments are really nice but I was so turned off by her customer service I almost looked else where. If you decide to live here get someone else to help you. Christina is the worst and will turn you off of this property just becuase of her demanor and work ethic. Horrible
Me and my fiance were one of the first people to move in to this complex. It has wonderful amenities, all the appliances are up to date and great quality. The walls are paper thin AF and we can hear side neighbors and upstairs. Even the one across. Normal-loud conversations, just hearing them watch TV so I am sure they can hear me. I really like the maintenance guy/crew, super helpful and kind. Whenever I put in a request it gets fulfilled promptly. I feel like they did not take the garage parking into consideration because now that the complex is full, parking is limited! The garage is very narrow and your car will most likely get dings.
To anyone who is looking for a wonderful and beautiful residence with kind hearted, caring, helpful and friendly staff. Vitruvian West is the place for you. We moved in April and our situation was very unique. But that was not a problem for Madison and her team! Her customer service was not only spectacular and helpful but also completely genuine! Everything that we need in our home as far as necessities and pleasures she guided us to the perfect unit! We love the property and the amenities. This was the best decision we have ever made. So again if you’re looking for the best experience, friendly and loving staff Vitruvian West will definitely be the place for you and your family! Thanks Madison! And Chad!Ps,To all the negative reviews save it as a resident here I know that this staff if the best by far and they are very professional and kind. I would not put my name on it if it was anything less than perfect!
Ryan and Christina made my move-in experience so seamless! The communication was incredibly efficient and responsive. They ensured that all my questions, concerns, and needs were accommodated. So warm and welcoming. I’m so excited to join this community! Thank you both for your help!
So were going on 1.5 hours of the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. There is no fire, and the Fire Dept cant turn the alarm off and has to wait for building staff, wherever they are, to do it. I call Emergency Maintenance and get a recording that says the person Im trying to reach doesnt have a voicemail set up. This just speaks to a larger problem at this community. Communication is terrible. You cannot reach anyone in the leasing office via phone and the sidewalk to the package room was completely torn out with zero notice. And there are some days when I cant believe this place is new. The trash rooms are rarely cleaned, the recycling dumpster gets moved a lot, the elevators and ceiling fans randomly stop working, my balcony has a dangerous slope to it, and my bathtub is peeling. Residents try to bring stuff up, but the people in the office seem better suited to sales than actual customer service or property management most of the time.I am very disappointed in the quality of this luxury community so far and hope they get it together soon.
My experience so far moving in has been very calming and welcoming thanks to the staff here at Vitruvian west! Ms.Christina has been so wonderful to me from start to finish welcoming me to my new home! The place is very very clean and professional and I can’t wait to enjoy my new crib in this wonderful community!
Beautiful area, just to crowded. Complex is already all full and parking is very limited. nice apartments, just built these so fast, so it was a little thrown together. Walls a paper thin! I have residences who I always smell marijuana smoke coming from, which I dont know how the property misses this. Few issues here and there, specially when the fire alarm goes off. They cut parking on the side, so you have to park far from your place. A resident here has a moving company and parks two large moving trucks and vans, which is taking away from residences who have 1-2 cars. Theyve put up signs about parking, but still have not told this resident to park his trucks at his business. Specially during the lights, traffic is crazy and parking is insane. I wish they would fix this!
This apartment deserves zero stars. It is not luxury, it’s all a lie. The apts are cheaply made. Garage is poorly designed because they are cheap; two cars can’t turn at the same time in the garage. Go figure! Power went out for 3 days in a so called luxury apt.....even when other apartments in the same area had power. Are we in a third world country?. I am very disappointed! This apt is expensive for no reason, just because something is new doesn’t mean it has quality and it’s worth more money. This apt is worth way less than what they charge for rent. Please beware all the 5 stars reviews work for the apt company or have friends that work there. If you actually live here and pay full rent u won’t give 5 stars.
I was promised multiple things about my apartment that did not end up being accurate. For one, Christina promised me I would have a balcony which I did not l. This was literally one of the only reasons I chose this apartment. Secondly the special I was initially offered to lease ended up being MUCH smaller than what she promised. I feel as if I’ve received extremely unprofessional service and been lied to along the way.
Madison and Chad at the leasing office are both very helpful and made my leasing experience easy and enjoyable. I’m really excited to move in and I wanted to give Madison a huge compliment on assisting me. She went the extra mile in helping fix my unique situation. I’m very glad I chose UDR as my property management company because they hire great employees. Thank y’all for being so great! :) I highly recommend this property.
Yes, its a newer high rise apartment complex with attractive people....but beware! There are numerous theft cases, drug use on premise, and violent animal that have been known to attack people. The one thing that really went the wrong way is how much you will be charge when you move out. I have an itemized bill that stated a 11/2 base board was replaced....for $85! I couldve bought one for 2 dollars! They over charge everything because all they are about is your money. Dont waste your time.
I moved in 2 months ago and cant wait for my lease to be up. I was lied to about everything at signing! The noise level is like living in a dorm! The walls are paper thin. Management (if you want to call it that) does NOTHING about complaints. My move in was awful. The move in specialist Madison barely gave me my keys let alone told me anything. I have had to go on the hunt to find things like the packages room etc. Her attitude was like why are you bothering me...I am busy. Do yourself a huge favor Look elsewhere or you will be very unhappy as am I.
I love the unit I live in. Everything else however is terrible. 2nd Elevator has been out for a month. Multiple tenant have asked for mirrors in the car garage, they only give you one key and walls are paper thin. Also not blast anyone but majority of these 5 star ratings are by employees. Once my lease is up, I’m getting out of here
The process to get a temporary guest pass is absurd and Jacqueline, who works in the leasing office, is the most unprofessional, rude, and condescending individual I have ever dealt with in my years of renting.I provided ALL of the necessary documentation online in writing as requested only to have my guest get humiliated by Jacqueline whenever they arrived to pick the pass up.She spoke down to both me and my guest and failed to follow the necessary protocols in order to provide my guest a key. ALL she had to do was check my online request on the website portal (that I completed 10 days in advance) to verify that the required steps were followed but instead made a concerted effort to be rude and unscrupulous. On top of that, good luck getting access to the complementary WiFi advertised in the business center. Jacqueline also failed to send the proper login information to my email so that I could have access. No email ever showed up in either of my spam or inbox folders.Vitruvian management needs to do something about this girl and her LiLo attitude as she is the first person residents and future residents alike encounter.Furthermore, there have been 2 severe power outages in the past 6 months (only effecting Vitruvian West) with ZERO communication from management. Multiple residents including myself have had a horrible ant problem that other reviews mention as well as a persistent issue with entry doors in the hallway SLAMMING shut as residents arrive and depart.Stay FAR away from this place. The only star at this place is Austin of the maintenance crew who is always pleasant and goes out of his way to help residents.
I have been looking at apartments around the area and this location is beautiful! One of the things that really makes a difference when looking for an apartment is knowing the office staff is so friendly. I walked in and talked to Madison who really took her time with me. She was very welcoming and helpful! It was great talking with someone who was so kind and personable! Thanks for everything!
I had a great move in experience with Chad and Bryan in the front office. Chad was so so positive about everything, and both of them have truly developed a relationship with us over the last month. Our move in process was flawless, and so far everything has been clean, easy, and exactly what we thought. This is a BRAND NEW facility, so the fact that the trash is under control, garage is working, and that theres always ppl working around the clock is awesome. We even had a wire on our a/c go out one night, and maintenance was there the next morning at 7 am to fix it asap. The pool is out of this world, and the amenities are the best. I know it will get a little more crowded with people moving in, but Im confident that the front office will keep it under control. Definitely worth the pricetag.
The parking garage continuously has cars using the residents parking spaces without the proper residents decal. Last night I counted 5 vehicles within 8 parking spaces that did not have the required residents parking decal and reported to the security personal that supposedly oversees the property. I am told by the apartment complex the vehicles will be tag for violation however this is never done as an example of this morning all vehicles were still on the property and no tags were visible on the vehicles. Some of these vehicles have been on the property on multiple occasions for weeks at the time. I dont understand why Im charged $20 a month for parking when people off the street can park in the garage every weekend for free!
Horrible maintenance services - raised a few issues since I moved in and close to 2 months theyre STILL UNRESOLVED. Followed up a million times on email and calls to no avail. The guy comes over, does anything to show hes working and checks the request as complete. Left with unresolved fixes just to raise additional tickets over them all over again. Extremely unresponsive management, lack proper communication - no explanation provided so far (probably better than of getting lame excuses).
My husband and I made an appointment to tour maybe a week in advance. When we showed up, we were greeted by a blonde lady who asked what type of apartment we were interested in. As soon as we said 2 bedroom and our desired move in date, she immediately said none were available and she would not be able to give us a tour. I think her reasoning was that there were no exact units open for touring that were like what would be available for our move in date. However, apartment tours are meant to show you the finishes, amenities, complex layout, and of course chance to ask questions on things like parking situation, mail system, etc. For example, every apartment I have ever lived in has given me a tour where they pointed out like your washer and dryer will be over there rather than here or in one case I toured a 2 bedroom when I was looking for a 1 bedroom and they just pointed out what the layout differences would be. I dont, and I think most people dont, expect to always tour the exact floor plan of what would be leased. I specifically asked this lady if there were any model units available to look at, and she repeated her earlier sentiment that those were not the exact floorplan of what would be available to us on our move in date so she would not give us a tour. What is the point of making appointments for tours available if your staff will refuse to give a tour? I dont know if she felt uppity that this is a brand new complex or if she was just flat out lazy, but I did not appreciate having made an appointment and then being refused our appointment on irrational grounds. We were already hesitant on moving to Vitruvian West due to some mixed reviews online regarding leasing staff and management, and this just confirmed our fears. We are currently living in a brand new complex with more spacious floorplans and fantastic management, but we were just considering downsizing to save some money which Vitruvian West would have allowed. Looks like we will be renewing our lease where we are at now.
Beautiful Property and great customer service!Madison answered all of our questions and even went further providing information that I wouldnt have thought to ask! This girl knows her stuff! The property was gorgeous and the customer service experienced from Madison was exceptional! While we ended up deciding to lease with another property just because its proximity to our places of employment, we wanted to make sure the company and management knew how great of an experience Madison gave us and what an asset she is to your team!
This place is the worst I do not recommend it to anyone the worst place where you can live the truth, the alarm in my room went out on its own on the 11th I sent them an email and they never came to fix it, it was 6 days ringing day and night on the 17th I disconnected it and they gave me a fine of 100 dollars I went to the office and the manager who has no way or education to deal with people I really dont know why they have it in this place told me that you are my responsibility and if the alarm sounded even if the noise was uncomfortable I had to put up with it, I could not disconnect it, they are very irresponsible with their work and above all they do not have a drop of ethics to serve people here I am going to show them the photos so they can see that it is true and I am not lying, in addition to that the corridors dirty smell like rotten food this place is the worst
This here is the definition of a falsely advertised, fake apartment in other words, whatever you see on their website is all a facade. You will be well served by taking your apartment search elsewhere. If you visit Vitruvian apartments during the day, youll be made to believe that the apartments here are all that but believe me, theyre not. Now if you decide that people online are just saying trash and would still like to visit this fake luxury apartment for yourself, well... take a pen and jot down the following so as to make these observations for yourself.1. Of course you have to park by the leasing office so you wont notice how tiny the actual parking lot is. The chances of you waking up to dents and scratches on your car is as high as the patriots winning another Superbowl .My advise is, go to the parking lot and look at the space for your damn self, also get ready to pay additional premiums to your insurance company.2. Of course youll go when the unlucky and frustrated current occupants (who never got a chance to read this review) living in the apartment building are at work, so you might not notice how paper thin the apartment is.However, If you are lucky enough, with your potential neighbors home, youll be able to hear every damn sound that comes from them, even to the faintest pin drop (I am dead serious). You should know that noise from up top is so loud youll hate yourself. It will feel like you are in a box and someone is pounding this box really hard from multiple directions at once.My advise for you is to walk through the aisle in the apartment building and notice that youll hear every sound coming from occupants homes. The bottom line here is that this place is not insulated or sound proof in any way shape or form, like at all, like zero.3. Of course they have appliances set up and all but you should also know that all their appliances are older versions. When you have a new building and older version of appliances, you can estimate for yourself how much they invested in their luxury building. Now the noise from their old refrigerator or ice maker or whatever is in there, will definitely drive you crazy whenever it comes on (Believe me it will). My advise for you on this is to wait in the apartment till the ice maker in the refrigerator comes on, if you dont, youll only have yourself to blame after you move in.4. The only positives here which i can genuinely say is that, they have key less entry to homes and also, you need a toll tag to pass through the garage gate, which means you only need to have the remote key fob and thats it.My advise for you is if having key less entry and toll tag pass makes this place luxury then you are better off having one of Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen dragons burn your entire rent money to the ground. If you are already used to luxury living this place is NOT for you, it is a DORMITORY and SHOULD be ADVERTISED as such.
Bryan Ziegler is the reason I have lived here for almost 2 years. He is professional, kind and polite. He has gone out of his way multiple times to make sure my time here is great. I highly recommend speaking to Bryan if you are thinking about moving here. With a fiancé who works in the industry and understands the difficulty of working on a property this size, I can’t not express how great he has been. Whatever they are paying him they should double it.
I received additional confirmation that Vitruvian West is the BEST! I was concerned about the increase in my upcoming lease renewal. I was over joyed to see no increase reflected in my renewal. This is much needed as we push through this pandemic. I thank Vitruvian, but give God ALL the glory! Loria
Bad starting !!! I used apartment locators to find this place. Apartment locator send me the deal and I arrived the property. Apartment locator advised me to see Madison. I arrived no one looked ar me for 10 min just sitting the lobby. I got up and went to this 2 apartment agents sitting there and surfing on there cell phone. I asked I am looking for Madison she was like it is me and I am busy I cant help you. I was shocked !!! and turned around the lady who is seating at the office and came to me and askedme if everything is okay? I told her I had appointment with her and she is busy and showed her the deal. She said they dont have the deal anymore are you serious?? The deal was one month free for one bedroom apartment for June. They declined me on the spot. Who wants to live this kind of entertainment not me!!This message is for the apartment owner if you hire people like Madison you will have a bad review and your business will be affected. I can afford more than the price you have right now. This is 2018. Dont judge a book by cover. I wont go back to that place.
This place is lovely and modern. The management team address your concerns in a timely manner. And I love that we have everything a home needs, Dishwasher, washer, Dryer and of course the most important thing. Central AC and Heater. I feel very confortable here. Thanks Vitruvian Team
My experience visiting the property was amazing! Bryan was very friendly and informative about the property. He answered all of my questions and remembered my name! The amenities and social space caters to everyone! This has become a top pick for my quest for a new home.
This is a really nice community. I worked with Jaquelyn Marshall and her professionalism and attention to detail was wonderful. We viewed this community in a self guided tour and Jaquelyn had a package and key waiting for us upon our arrival. We are gearing up to apply for Phase 2 and we look forward to working with Jaquelyn on our application process.
The manager here is NEVER available and NEVER responds to requests. Was told she works Mon-Fri and FIVE times now we have tried to catch her but shes NEVER in the office! Twice my boyfriend had even taken off work just to be told shes not coming in again. Have had multiple issues, most recently a bunch of cars broken into. Brianna is the manager and I use quotes because she is NO manager, shes useless. How can you manage a property if youre NEVER in the office? So frustrated! The two guys in the office try their best to help but there is always just one of them working and always a line of people, where is the manager when there is only one front desk person in the office? Hmm, not at work, thats for sure. Ridiculous! Get rid of her and get some who actually will manage this property. At least the angry blond girl isnt there anymore. Took care of my issues myself with Addison PD. GET A NEW MANAGER! Please!
They rejected my ESA latter after they made me signed the lease. The leasing manager told me that they accept ESA, and I just need to show them the latter from my doctor. 3 months later, they are telling me that my animal is a restricted bread and charging me $4000 to break my lease. SHM...
Be careful with your dogs!!! I have had 2 incidents with dogs that do not have collars and the owners let them loose, and I always see one or another loose, why dont they put a rule for that? Owners release their aggressive dogs, also when you go to complain to the office, they do not solve anything, a whole despotism, a paperwork and they do not put the cameras on you to see who the guilty people were and request them, why?????, that Its very bad, in winter Ive found 2 homeless on different occasions sleeping in the hallway or the game room, where is the security????, besides they tell you that if you refer someone they give you a discount, its a lie 🤷 🏻♀️, in summer a lot of people fighting in the pool, you cant spend a quiet family day, very drunk and reeking of marijuana, not to mention that sometimes in the corridors of the building too, that is, everything is fine to collect and increase each once again the rent, but they dont take care of everything else, starting with the safety of those who live there 😒
I applied and they approved me and after they take my money they say they cant accept me because 2 of those who were on the contract dont have US papers. Put on your website that you do not accept people without US papers and save those who want to live here a lot of time and money. And they say that they do not discriminate. Dont waste your money or time here

2022-05-24By far my worst luxury living experience. To keep it short, I do not recommend moving here. I have been a resident for nearly 2 years and I have tried to remain positive in living here, but I thought I would spare someone else the trouble. I will not renew my lease again, I only stayed year 2 for convenience and other personal matters.Pros: Nice Amenities (pool, community room, etc), the apartments are nice with upgrades.Cons::They charge you to park and you might still get towed. $400They charge you to receive packages via Parcel Pending. That might still get stolen or not delivered correctly.Everyday that a head on collision doesnt occur in the parking garage is a blessing. Its literally so tight its a near wreck daily in there. The fire alarms are constantly going off. Even in the middle of the night and during the work day.The trash room is always full and disgusting. This is mostly the residents fault for not following instructions. I have also once seen a whole mattress sitting in a parking spot for over a week.Customer service/experience is truly lacking. You will see new faces each time you enter the front office and none of them care even a little bit. Everything is controlled in some office out of state, that you cannot even call. They MIGHT text you back.Trust me, dont move here.

2022-05-28I came by to tour the property because my college Roomate lives here and loves it! The office staff was super friendly when I arrived. Hailey assisted me with my tour and was very informative about the property. She was so kind and empathetic with all the questions I was asking even though the office was packed with other people. I went and looked at each of the buildings to see the different finishes and layouts. Building 2 and 3 had beautiful finishes and I was in love with the pool area. I’m super excited about the possibility of living here!

2022-05-27Today was supposed to be the day I move in as stated on my lease but apparently the office is closed on Sundays and no one told me that I couldn’t actually move on that day. Even though I was able to select this day as my move in day. No one contacted me to let me to give me my move in info before hand so I have a truck full of stuff and no where to go tonight. Tried calling the offsite office for help but the rep hung up on me when I inquired about the number for corporate. The emergency maintenance call center was just as rude. I’ve already paid the property for this day. I had movers and a rental truck that I will need to pay for all over again. This is a horrible way to start my time at the Vitruvian. It’s extremely careless.Review Update: After listening to my concerns the staff at the Vitruvian worked diligently to correct their mistakes and I respect that. I moved in the next day. The property is beautiful. My apartment is beautiful and I’m happy to Vitruvian West my home.

2022-05-16I signed my lease in March to move in this past Friday. We got to the leasing office only to be told our apartment wouldn’t be available until October due to a fire hazard oversight. The only accommodation they were willing to offer was a first floor apartment for the same rate of my lease for a top floor apartment. It was totally unprofessional/unethical to wait until the date and time of move in to let us know, and not be willing to give us a lower rate for their mistake. The property management is awful.

2022-05-21Listen, everyone is not lying about the building being dirty. It looks nice on the outside but once you move in you start noticing things. Like the trash in the hallways. There is no trash pickup so why are people leaving trash bags in the halls? These people should be fined. That attracts bugs! Which is my BIGGEST issue with the building. I am a very clean person. I mop and sweep regularly. However, every couple of weeks I’ll see a roach and in the summer it’s worse. Pest control comes but they are only doing spot treatments. It’s not enough. Also, if you are only spraying my unit but the unit next door has roaches they will keep coming back. All units in phase 1 need to be sprayed on a consistent basis until this issue is under control. Similar to another review, my rent went up $200 last year. I can’t justify the cost with a bug problem. If this issue isn’t resolved soon I will also not be renewing my lease. My peace of mind and comfort is not good here. I’ve also talked to other neighbors who are having similar issues. Two stars for the leasing staff though. They’re very nice. But something has to be done about the bugs. Again, everyone isn’t lying…Edit: I’ve seen some new reviews of people saying they’ve just moved in and have no issues with the place. That’s great! But if you’ve only been here one week please refrain from judging others who have lived here over a year and are beyond the honeymoon stage. And also, phase 1, phase 2 and phase 3 have different issues. Phase 1, where I live, is the oldest of the three which means it’s filled to capacity which is probably why this building has a bug issue vs the newer phases that don’t have as many tenants. I loved it here too my first month or so. And honestly the maintenance staff is great and the leasing staff is also great! Both teams are responsive and work very fast to fix any requests I put in. Still doesn’t take away from some of the issues long term tenants are pointing out. Exhibit A: People who don’t live here walking up off the street to hangout at our pool causing chaos. Yesterday teens who did not live here (and told us so out of their own mouths) were play fighting in the pool and splashing everyone sitting nearby. We asked the boys to stop, they did for a second but started again. So we left. A few hours later we got a message from the building saying the pool was shutdown for the rest of the day due to an altercation at the pool and the police were called. Why? Because this is a community pool. Not a private pool. So for the last time, everyone is not lying.

2021-12-02I really want to like this apartment. I really like the layout of my place and the finishes are really nice, however due to other issues I am debating whether I want to re-sign my lease. My home has quite a bug problem with insects that kinda resemble roaches and has been treated several times with really no fix to the problem. I literally have a shoe sitting out all the time along with my raid spray to fight off the bugs. They are in all of my cabinets and it’s absolutely disgusting. My place is extremely clean so I don’t understand why I have this issue. That’s my main problem with this place, however I do really appreciate the attentiveness of the staff to schedule my place to get treated often. There are smaller things too, like the loud pool parties at 11 pm in the summer that keep you up at night but things like that I can tolerate. The bugs I can’t. My rent is going up $250 a month which is substantial, and for a place with bug issues I am seriously considering moving out. Please do better.

2022-05-28I like living here. My place is really nice and brand new. The only thing that sucks is the staff in the office. They seem to be annoyed everytime you ask them for help. And the pool is nice but sucks to go. There are people from the ghetto apartment complex next door that crowd the pool. Also the tenants are very agressive drivers in the parking garage.

2022-06-27As a relative of a resident that lives here, I felt very uncomfortable as I decided go by the community pool this past weekend. Immediately, I was approached and felt targeted by their security team due to their approach and excessive questions to use the amenity. There procedure is a bit intimidating and deemed unnecessary to ask for the following: Bldg #, Apt # and Resident Info to utilize an amenity . Although, I understand there goal is to provide security and safety for their community. This is a cause for concern and headed towards persons taking legal action including myself, if not addressed immediately.Be AWARE!!!

2022-01-20I would give this place 5 stars but parking is a huge problem. If you have friends that want to visit they may not find a place to park. Something to think about. My girlfriend lives a few miles away and her building has an abundance of parking outside for guests. The setup is similar in that her building has a parking garage but they have land adjacent to her building that always has empty spots for guests.VW-2 only has enough parking for residents. If you don’t have friends that visit then you’ll love this place !!
