I was at this Waffle House today and the service was so smooth and great taste. I am glad that they cater for my Vegan-vegetarian needs so they did for my wife. Mr. Charles, the Unit Manager lead with a good leadership skills, and the whole team present at 11:00 am today work in a perfect harmony.
Everyone was quick yo greet. Tammy the cook was very fast and polite and made the food in a timely manner, Tara Marie was helping a customer and giving options that arent even on the menu which is good. She speaks clearly very polite place was very cleaned ashley was my server today fast asking if I need a refill if I need anything else she was quick. She also will be here this afternoon Lauren was very helpful to other ladies the environment was clam peaceful no drama come visit morning shift. Sept 15,2021
They never answer the phone for Togo orders. What’s the point of having order ahead signs on the door if you cant order over the phone and pick them up? Misleading.
They do not clean, tables were so dirty they do not Sanitize after every customer like they say they do. So much cross contamination, nobody is wearing hair nets, there is not enough safety measures being taken, in general. This place needs their food handling licenses taken away.
Love Waffle House. This location has great employees. They greet you upon entering. Everyone acts like they enjoy their work. Plus they call out the orders in the WH tradition.
You dont go to Waffle House for fancy food, you go for quick diner food thats also comforting in a way. This location serves all that up in addition to being one of the cleanest WH restaurants Ive been in. Last time I went, there was a line cook there named Vanessa (I think) who cooked everything we ordered just as we wanted it and said shed been there for 20 years. Shes a gold star in that kitchen.

It was very busy. Our waitress did the best she could...they seemed a little understaffed... but considering everyone has HELP WANTED signs out .. this isnt surprising. She got our food to us before our drinks. ... was busy taking orders. It was all good.
Normally I love waffle house, but today was the the worst service I have ever had. I am very low maintenance and I dont ask for much when eating out. It wasnt busy whatsoever. Took 10 minutes to order drinks, she walked away and did not return for another 10 minutes so my 7 and 5 year old went to other tables to find sugar and creamer for my coffee. She finally returns we order, waited a very long time, she brings part of my order and part of my sons, we needed salt and pepper, cant get her attention, 5 minutes pass and I send the kids to other tables to get some. Then we see her coming with 3 waffles then watch her stop and give a waffle to some people that had only been there 5 minutes. I tell her we ordered 3 waffles and baffled she says huh they should have had 3 I said yes you just gave it to those people. She walks away we wait 8 more minutes and I send the kids to get us cold syrup off another table. Then finally the last waffle arrives but I already shared my waffle with my son and we are all pretty frustrated at this point, especially since we also asked for a butter knife we never got and 3 people had to share 1 knife. I truly never complain about stuff because I have waited tables but today was truly frustrating.
We were literally turned away from another empty location so we came to this one and there was an employee standing at the door telling people they were full capacity when they only had 6-8 people at the bar. I’m so confused. How have I gone to two locations in one night and they both refused us service because they were “too full”?? After we left, other places had closed so we didn’t get to have any food this evening. We would have tipped well too so I don’t understand why the two Waffle House locations in Burleson don’t like making money 🤷♀️
Normally I have great experiences here. The other day I came in and apparently they had gone through a mass firing. There was only one person working so they were only able to do to go orders. I look forward to coming back when theyre fully staffed and I can dine in.
It was my first stop in the day. The food was just perfect. The customer service was excellent. They constantly check on you to see if you needed anything. They really deserved the tip I left. They did so great that I gave them all a tip. The cook, waitress, etc. They did not wanted to accept it but I said NO, you all made my morning great!!
The waitress was very poor service she was too busy flirting with the other customers she never pay attention to the ones that took care of their drinks. Bolster boost and the counter are not made for people with large statues and it wasnt fun when the waitress laughed at me didnt think it was very funny
Never had a bad meal or experience at waffle house untill most recently. Apparently it is hit and miss at this location on whether or not you can sit and dine or its take out only. Two of the last three times here it was To Go only.
Never had bacon so bad half burnt and half raw to where I should not eat it I got it to go because of how dirty everything is Im surprised the lights are still on in this waffle house RIP unless you start over on your staff.
I get it that the weather is horrid today and no one wants to have to go into work but the service or lack there of is an understatement. Our electricity has been out all day due to the snow, so we decided to go look for a place to get a hot meal. I have a 2.5 y/o and he was hungry. We see that waffle house is open so we pull in. Mind you I have not been to this location in years due to the horrible service I had on multiple occasions but we thought we would give it a try. First thing as we walk up an older lady yells out the door that they are doing take out only. Ok so we go back to the car. I try to call in an order using the number that is posted on the window, and get a message that this location is not taking call in orders. So, my husband decides to go in and order our food to go. Lets just say they let it be known that they did not want to have to deal with customers today. He walked out with three very small cheeseburgers with absolutely nothing on them but a bun, meat and cheese. They told him they were out of everything else , no fries, no lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, hashbrowns ,NOTHING! And then charged him $15 for those sliders they called burgers. SMH. I will never go back to this location!
Im usually an IHOP type of guy, but Waffle House was excellent! Its small inside, doesnt look the best, but the food is 10 times better than IHOP. Maybe its just me, but the ability to watch someone make your food, in this day and age, its great. No more IHOP for me.
Food was good. Waitress talked the entire time LOUDLY to other patrons and cowokers. All were well informed how difficult 3 small children was on her. We could not have a conversation over her nonstop, loud talking. Beyond annoying. All other staff victims of her life lived out loud on stage.
It was great and they were fast at getting the order out and not messing it up and very polite and respectful and good moms l memory with there orders especially when waiting for certain orders. Id go back and the food was cook right and not burned
We ate there today, opted for that instead of someplace else... should have stuck with first instinct. Coffee pots were so nasty with build up that even the fresh brewed coffee tasted like shoe leather. Our bacon was burnt... black, but still served, like they thought it was acceptable. The hash browns were under cooked and really wet. I had gravy on my hash browns... the gravy was served from a plastic container and plopped on in a glob. My bf asked me not to complain out loud, so I didnt, but he was so disgusted with the coffee that he wanted to call corporate. We were never given menus, we just found some at another seating area. The waiter was polite because he set up our silverware. He must have known the coffee was bad because he never offered us refills. The cook staff had R and B baby making music playing on their external speaker over the grill loud enough for the whole restaurant to be uncomfortable. Thankfully we were just passing through and wont return. Over the years Ive learned that Waffle Houses are hit or miss... this one was a miss.
Very nice, both my wife and I tried the Waffle house, for the second time (were from California), we both ordered something we had never ordered before, and both of us instantly found a new favorite. Our server was very kind, local, and gave us advise on the local lay-of-the-land.I had heard jokes about the Awful House, I agree, its AWFULLY GOOD !
Exactly the sort of experience youd expect from any Waffle House. Food was tasty and served up quickly by engaging staff members. To be sure, its not fine dining, but if you love Waffle House youre almost certain to come away happy during a visit to this location.
Absolutely horrible service. this rating is based only on the service, I didnt stay for the food. The tattoo covered waitress asked me of I needed a minute to order and I said yes. After waiting 15 minutes for her to come take my order, I walked out. She took the orders of both people sitting on either side of me. I guess they just didnt like how I looked or something. Went to Cracker Barrell instead. Better service and they were happy to take my money.

Im all about giving credit where credit is due. My family and I ate here on 3/17/17 and our service and food was perfect. The restaurant was clean and the staff was extremely attentive. The cook came over and spoke to my twins and was very nice. We had never been to this location before but we will go back. Keep up the great work!
Come to Waffle House with family and and there are So so not clean the silverware and cups are not clean when they give it to u it has food on it and they don’t seem to care about the customers we well not come to any Waffle House
They have the best soft scrambled eggs with cheese! Soft velvety delicious creamy cheesey eggs! And the grilled pork chops are great! You cant get scrambled eggs with cheese done better any where else on the planet!
Generally the food is greasy short order quick. Generally the service you have a 50-50 chance of getting a great server or a really rude one. One thing Ill say a million times as you have to be a really smart person to work here this is not a job for just some Play No dummy like this takes a lot of memory.
The only reason Im giving three stars is because of the cook and waitress. Food was awesome, and the cook came out to make sure we enjoyed it. Our waitress Jacklyn was attentive and wonderful to talk to. But, the exterior/interior is dreadful. The ceiling is brown from nicotine tar and its just outdated. Not to mention, the roaches. Good food, wonderful staff....just horrid setting.
Even though this Waffle House is Dated, the service is top notch. On this day it was the Second Waffle House we visited. The 1st one was on Crowley Rd. It was Dirty. The Waiter attempted to wipe our Table down with a dish Rag that was just sitting on the adjacent table. Not very Sanitary for sure.
It started off pretty good BUT then the guy making my waffle dropped it whereit was hanging off of the waffle maker THEN picked it up with his bare hand and put it on the plate and tried to give it to me. I said umm no, I dont want that one you touched it with your hands. The manager asked if I wanted to take it home because they had forgotten to make our waffles to begin with. I explained what he did. She made him redo it. My daughter and I had already heard the manager and another employee argue about losing the thing to take the waffles off of the waffle maker like 2 little children. This was the worse waffle house visit Ive ever had. Very disappointed. And I love Waffle Hose
Ive been going there for years. Its been going downhill because of the staff. The woman that appears to be the manager up front is very negative to the staff. Ive seen them be on pins and needles with each other and that transfer over to the customers. Theyve have been messing up order lately. The music today was horrible (extremely annoying). Think Ill try the one on 1187 next time its out of the way but it will be worth it if the staff isnt messed up like Renfro.
Out of the 3 Waffle Houses on i-35 this is the best. Its food is better and its the cleanest. The staff is super quick and friendly they all seem to like their job. I love the hash browns here the will make the scattered extra Crispy for me and they come out Crispy imagine that! Lol
I have been to this location before, and I make it a point to order my bacon medium. My eggs were ordered over easy, but they came out fried just passed it. My bacon was not medium. The server was trying to tell me about Waffle House standards at this location, but I had been here before so I could not grasp the point.
Their omelettes are fluffy and pretty damn tasty. Plus being open 24/7 make them an all around choice!
Who doesnt like waffles??? Great place to start start you day at or end a long hard work day with friendly people. Give this place a try and you will see what Im talking about..

Visited this location last week and the only good things were the waffle and Waitress. We sat down and saw around 10 cockroaches (one crawled across my boyfriends plate...vomit) during the 30 minutes we were there. SO unsanitary. I used to love Waffle House but this one has made me lose faith in them all.
DO NOT EAT HERE! I never leave reviews but after my experience at this waffle house I had to. Waited about 15 mins to be acknowledged. Another 10mins for my drink. The wait is not bad because I understand this place is not fast food. The waitress was very kind. The wait on the food was not extremely long. However, my order was incorrect. The kind waitress insisted on remakeing my order. I didnt want the kitchen to get back up even worse so I dove in. Food was hot and tasted great. Till about my fourth bite when I felt a long hair tangled up in my hash browns. I stopped eating and examined my food further. More hair. Told the waitress and she witnessed my remove even more long strains of hair. She showed the manager and I over heard him say maybe its the customers. I have short hair plus wearing a ball cap. None of the staff was wearing hair nets. BOTTOM LINE DO NOT EAT HERE.
They dont clean their tables nor silverware. My dad and I went there for fathers day and they were very rude. My kids asked if I would bring something home for them. So I was going to take a picture of the picture but one of the cooks said that I couldnt do that due to policy. I said that their menu is on the internet. My dad gets there and we were trying to find a table due to them not cleaning them.( when I got there,there were only 2 people and they were seated at the same booth. After we found two seats, we unroll the sliver ware and there was old food on the forks. We walked out and went to IHOP.
We dont have Waffle House in San Antonio so visit many whenever we travel. This was not one of the best. But I would visit again. A little dirty for not being a busy time. I think maybe they were training the waitress so I would try it again for benefit of the doubt
Beth was AWESOME! She is a great waitress took good care of us, after our bad experience with another waffle house. She gave us some coupons and made it better.
This is the third visit to this particular location and the third time being disappointed in the staff. It took 15 minutes just to take our order and it wasnt even busy. They continued to try to pawn our table off. They lack any urgency. The only positive was the food was actually cooked to our request.
We stopped in after a long day ahead of us moving out of town with our car attached to a uhaul truck. What made the place awesome is the staff who joked with us about what a pain it is to carry our car on thag trailor. The waitresses seemed to really enjoy their regular customers, but took alot of time to chat with us and make us feel welcome.
This is by far the worst waffle house I experienced. First the brought my food out ,they told me my waffle was on the way ,we never got refills for our coffe.after I finished my breakfast and got up to pay and asked about my waffle ,the waitress said she was sorry that they had burned the first one,so i said why they didnt make another thats when she told the cook to make another ,NEVER COMING BACK HERE AND WILL ALL THE PEOPLE I KNOW ABOUT MY HORRIBLE,ABD TO TOP OFF DIDNT EVEN OFFER A DISCOUNT FOR THE WAFFLE,,,,,,,PEOPLE STAY AWAY ,AND HER NOAME WAS MICHELLE
The night cook, Cody, is the best. He will cook your breakfast to perfection and is always on top of his game!!! He knows his regulars and has one the best smiles in town. Coming into this place at night to see him is always worth it!
Ive came to this Waffle House twice both times by accident. Both times the service was terrible. Just left there not even busy and it took them a whole hour to get my to-go order. Why tell me on the phone 10 minutes if its going to take longer the whole reason of calling it in is to not have to sit up there and wait for 45 minutes. I hope I stop accidentally ordering from this one, next time Ill just leave the food there
Was a kinda regular customer. Today the waiter placed napkins on an unclean table. When I pointed this out he picked up the napkins, wiped part of the table and placed the napkins back on the table. Seriously? Sorry I inconvenienced them. (For the last time)

Welcoming atmosphere, just like a old time dinner. The cook and servers interact and chat with you while your food it being made. Food was made at the same rate that you would expect a and other dinner or restaurant.
Terrible service. Sat down for 10 minutes and watched 3 tables come in after me and get service first. It wouldnt have bothered me as much if I wasnt sitting right at the bar top as soon as you walk in. Sad thing was they even said hello when I walked in, but thats where the service ended. If I could give it 0 stars I would. This place is a joke.
Went there to get a ham and cheese omelette only to discover its no longer on the menu. Tried a hash browns bowl with hash browns ham eggs and cheese. What cheese? So little I couldnt find it. Ate most of the eggs, ham and a few hash browns. Such a disappointment!!!

Cook was a bit forgetful. Younger guy with glasses. Didnt add onions to my cheesteak hashbrown bowl and didnt add onions to my friends hashbrowns like he asked and we heard the server tell him clearly. Other than that it was good.

Standard WH. Somehow better than the one just 2 exits north but I could never explain why. As of April 2021, theyve just re-opened but half the seating was closed

Horrible service! To often the same! Meal cooked but set on counter for at least 10 minutes. When I finally got waitress attention, she insisted that it had just came up!!! Cook confirmed that food was cold! Good food lousey service again!!!!!!!!

This last time was a horrible service, the place all dirty, poor service. I had to ask for silver ware one at the time. They gave me just the fork, then had to ask for the knife and then for a spoon... a plastic bag piece from the grits on my food, disappointed...

Its waffle house, a classic. The workers there are extremely nice and respectful.

2022-02-26Lil Beth is amazing! My husband has an addiction to waffle house. This is the first time to this location. We had our food in less than 10min, she constantly checked on us. Greeted everyone that came through the door. The whole staff was great!

2022-04-13Got here and was told they could serve us because don’t have lids for to go.I asked the waitress could I get my order without lid for my wife and was told no rudely with no sympathy what whatsoever. This is the second time this has happened within a month. Waffle House has really lower their standards on customer service to the point of hat they simply don’t care about their customers at this location. Wow considering I sat at the table for 15 minutes with no on here while the workers literally said he can wait while they ate themselves and smoked cigarettes. Just wow. Done

2022-06-10Greasy front door, booth seat, table, and even menu itself! Waitresses talked out loud about personal issues the whole time we were there. Waffles were not tasty - service included one offer for more coffee. I have NEVER visited a restaurant (Waffle House, Burleson TX) this bad … and I’m old so that’s saying something. That one star is much higher than the experience I had.

2022-05-26Four stars because most of the time its wonderful. But on May 20th 2022 9:45 a.m. good God I dont know what happened but the waitress moved fast enough to remove her tip from the dirty table and then did not clean the table while we were waiting. Then after 10 minutes of watching that table not being cleaned, we moved to the counter and asked two waitresses could you please wipe the counter. The one that was moving like a snail told me can you just give me a sec . We had been there for 13 minutes waiting for a clean spot. And then we walked out. We ate at IHOP.Prior reviewMarch 2022 We just ate at Waffle House on E Renfro and had another superb breakfast. Waitresses are always friendly and have sweet smiles and the cook gets your order perfect. Support these older small businesses! And they have a jukebox!

2022-02-01The diner was fairly clean, Only 2 employees were there, luckily they werent busy,The guy that waited on us was not into his job,,We had to listen to them complain about management the whole time we were eating, Got our food pretty fast,Nobody knows how to make a big fluffy Waffle anymore, it was thin and wouldnt even melt the butter,,About the only thing I enjoyed was the bacon,I got halfway finished with my coffee and the cup had dried food or something in it,,probably wont be back, Can understand why they were empty at supper time, BTW,,IHOP and DENNYS,werent open, Spent $30.00 it definitely wasnt worth that.

2019-12-08This place has such a great staff and is clean (needs some updating, though). We came in during a big cleaning session and they were staffed well enough for some to continue to clean (not where they were prepping and cooking) and others to cook for and serve us. Thanks Cornelius, Beth, April, Nelda, and Brice (and one other whose name I did not catch).

2021-08-31I am not from Texas. I had guests staying with me for my sons wedding. Went to waffle House in Burleson for breakfast. It was a great experience. EVERY employee was exceptionally polite, friendly and gave outstanding service. We had breakfast there 3 of the 5 days my guests were here. Shame on me for not taking all their names for this post. I highly recommend this Waffle House for anyone looking for a great breakfast with great service.Thank you to the entire staff!
