Walmart Supercenter in other cities:
I called and called and called and more calling different stores different departments at all the stores. No body would answer so my son had to go all the way up there to ask a question. This always happens with them . Its part of why I stopped shopping there. Rude its straight up disrespectful to your shoppers.
The contract security person at the front put her hands on my bags opened them and pulled stuff out to coint for purchase verificationShe detained me and I felt immediately harassed. And discriminated. I was so flustered I forgot I had made 2 purchases, this was an unreasonable search and detainment die to no probable cause and of course cant get a manager on the phone.
Dont ever take your car here for an oil change.. They will cause more problems than they fix!!! My girlfriend lost a windshield on one car because they cant shut a hood properly.. On a different car they didnt put the dipstick back properly and couldve blown my engine if I didnt double check... save the headache and see a REAL professional...
Very disappointed. These people wont answer the phone. I put in an order to be delivered and it never got here. I called the 1800 # and they said they would refund my money in 5-7 days. Im very disappointed Walmart. When calling and asking for an associate the phone hangs up. No department answers except pharmacy. Then someone gave me a # to Walmart Grocery and that numbers voice mailbox option is full. This is unacceptable.
Natalia is working in the auto parts store and appears to be the only one working today. She was very friendly and courteous and had a smile on her face. The other guys there appeared to be walking around aimlessly! The girls behind the counter were on the rude side. So 5 stars go to Natalia
Came in for a single day fishing license. Had to wait 30 minutes for someone to come over that knew how to issue it. Then after the manager started the process she handed it off to an employee that didn’t know how to perform the task and issued the wrong license and didn’t know how to correct it or check me out. Had to wait for manager to return again to check out and pay for the license that I didn’t want. ($40 license vs $11 day license)
Its Walmart, they have trained Americans to work for free to check themselves out, instead of making their employees work for starvation wages. At least they are starting to pay the employees, that Americans didnt replace better. Still hate the fundamentals of how they conduct business and how littlethey value their employees and customers, since Sam passed. Its sad really. I regret it every time I go there. Which is rare now. When you scan your stuff next time. Think about the person out of work, because they knew you would do it for free rather than not shop there. Did you get lower prices? Better quality? An increased chance of being accused of theft? Because they begged for more theft? I know its convenient, treat it that way, save your money for companies that respect you, and their employees.
Strictly referring to the automotive center. I needed new tires and when i came in i could already see i wasnt most likely going to get them there. It was about 3 pm and wasnt any work going on in the garage although there was people needing things done like tires. 2 tire techs and neither could be seen. When the lady inside finally got ones attention, he had told her they got off at 4. Cool, ok. But its 3. If you dont have enough time to do all 4 tires on my car i understand. But what about the lady behind me who needed 1 fixed. You cant do that in an hour, you may wanna transfer over to the candy isles. Anyways i left there and went to discount tires a few blocks away. I dont know why but customer service at the automotive center here isnt much on service
Stay away from this place and may the pigeons use this store as a defectorium. May 4th 2019 went to get a Pit Crew oil change advertised for 20$ online and at the store. Although, at the store, the Pit Crew oil change price was not listed inside. The woman making the order ticket trying talking me into more service and a higher price for something I did not need. Basic oil and filter change was all I needed and the Pit Crew Change fit the bill. Was told two how wait, so I go into the store and shop. They never called me and I have to go back and ask. Low and behold, they say they cannot do the oil change because the plug was stripped and they would not touch it. I knew the plug was not stripped and took it somewhere else. The attendant took the plug out and we photographed it (seem photos). Walmart service did not want to fool with it because they would not make enough money and so they LIED about the stripped plug and wrote on the service order (See photo of service order) that it was stripped. They had plenty of other people getting service so why waste their time right! Thanks Walmart!
Full shelves and clean store. Easy in and out. But the person working electronic tonight was no help.. I was buying prepaid phone sims, didnt know if it was compatible with my phone,, he said,,no idea,. ok, then could you help me put my new sims card in, Guess what,, he told me to go back to where I bought it. What a jerk. No help😠Update: havent been back to electronics but the store is getting items back on the shelves,,, from being empty for the past few months!
Today I went for a pick up! Heres what you have to do if you order grocery by phone (very convenient). They say the pick-up area is behind the store but instead is in front of the store. Look to the first parking lots just in front of the main entrance. They are tagged with rectangular large signs with written pick-up. Park in one of those spaces, call the number (written on the sign) and tell them the number of the parking spot you are. They will be asking a few questions like the number of your order and then they come directly to load the grocery into your trunk so you only have to open it. Its no possible to give a tip through the app so if you appreciate the service bring some cash if you wish to tip them. Good service! Save a lot of time!
Thanks to Amber I was able to get all my $700 worth of groceries. I was having a lot of issues with my card not going through for some reason and had to call the card where I was on hold for a almost half an hour. She waited patiently even after the store had closed for the issue to resolve and manually rescanned all of my items. THANKS AMBER FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND HARD WORK ❤️
I have two Walmart stores that are about five minutes from my home that I shop at a lot. I prefer to come to this location in Baytown when I have time or when I’m in that area because it’s a much larger store and very clean. It’s not crowded with swarms of people like by my house which is great too! Oh and I don’t have to wait for an employee to unlock a case to give me foundation or mascara like the one on East freeway @ Freeport. I can go right in, get what I need and shop around a bit. And today they had actual cashiers to check you out so I’m giving this particular store 5 stars!
Most items are cheaper than other stores but the employees are rude and dont expect help if you need to find something unless its in electronics, most of them are helpful. Security sucks and the secret shoppers follow around the wrong people. My biggest concern is the parking lot. The parking lot is so dark at night and for being a 24 hour store is unsafe. There are literally only 3 lights lit in the parking lot. I would advise anyone especially women to not shop there after dark.
I put in an order for a birthday cake, went to pick it up the next day, the lady that took my order forgot to make the cake. How you forget to make a cake? Thats your job. Then when I decided to buy a pre-made cake they spelled my daughters name wrong! Geesh...thank goodness she turned 2 and doesnt have any idea.
It is a great Walmart, but it is a Walmart. They have really hurt their image by always having just two real lines open and long lines as self check is a pain if you have more than a few things. We know they are making record profits, but do not care about what their customers or workers need. I avoid them as much as possible because if people even have to wait for self check, they do not deserve my dollars. If people would go somewhere else for a month, maybe Walmart would get the message that we want them to be the great American store they use to be. Please make your checkouts as nice as HEB.
Went to get a haircut this morning got there at 8:50. The women working didnt show up till 9:01 they open for the day at 9 she wasnt ready for customer at 9 then she walk back out shut the gate never said a word to me and left again. If you open for business at 9 I think she should have a least been there at 8:30 to get ready for the day. Thats just me
Store is not clean at all. Horrible compared to the Wal-Mart on Hwy 146 near Mt. Belvieu. None of the employees speak or greet you. They just look at you as if they dont even want to be there themselves. So many things need to be addressed at this location. Too numerous to list.
I tried the Grocery Curbside Pickup. I was early. They texted me to day that my order was delayed and that they would let me know the new pickup time. Just as I was canceling my order, 2 minutes later, they texted that it was ready. I called and they said that I could get it. NOT!! The cancelation had gone thru but my order still wasnt ready. Never again.
Garth store. 9.21.21-6:09am. Terrible visit this morning. Out of items. Messy store. Stared at most of the visit. Hastled by very rude receipt checkers in gold vests. 2 of them. Shift that was stocking frozen section was very rude over a simple question about finding an item.
The food is always great at any Dennys location, but the reason go to the one in LaPorte and 146 is because the service is fast and the waitresses are very customer oriented. Thanks Dennys and I would like to give a shout-out to the waitress that took care of my able. Mrs. Liset.
It was conveniently close to where I had business I needed to take care of and was able to get in and out quickly. On the other hand, their auto care center would get zero stars or negative stars, even. Their techs demonstrate absolutely neither job ownership or a sense of urgency in taking care of their customers. Oh, I understand the need to wait my turn in line but when the SUV ahead of me in line sits, on the jacks, no tires for close to an hour, seriously? Do they not think our time is valuable and not to be wasted? I asked for my keys and left. I shall take my business elsewhere to purchase tires for my vehicle.
Today we went to this Walmart and the entire store was being diverted to only one of the four self checkout areas and one lane where people could buy tobacco the entire store was being routed to these two areas at 3pm on a Thursday. Needless to say the lines were long and full of unhappy customers. Some people were getting so fed up of waiting in line they just abandoned their buggy full of the items they intended to purchase and walked out. Did you management at this Walmart location dont seem to know what theyre doing.
Literally the most awful experience for one they never answer a phone. the people are absolutely disrespectful and straight lied to my face. And sat there and watched them cuss the next customer like a dog. When I went to someone else they told me “well if they couldn’t help you neither can I, you can leave now” the manager did NOTHING! The whole store needs to be restaffed.
Definitely improved over the years, but not without caveats. The overall cleanliness/general presentation of the store is vastly improved, feels much more like a welcoming place to shop rather than an emotionless warehouse. *However*, customer service could use an improvement. Save a few notable interactions, most times I ask for help around the store, Im met with a dull response, or the tone of someone not wanting anything to do with me. (Cant fault them too much, it is Walmart after all) That, and checking out is still a very, **very** tedious process, with most of their registers closed for some reason most days.
Went the pharmacy pickup parking spot and call to have my prescription brought out to me. The girl that answered said they dont come out when its raining. I told her it was no longer rain. She proceeded to argue with me and then hung up. I called back and told her if she hung up again id come in to talk to the manager. She said I had hung up and gave the phone to someone else. This person again ask me if it was raining. I said no come check. I dont appreciate the employees not believing me. They came out with my prescription and found that it was indeed not raining. Walmart on Garth Rd in Baytown TX at 12:30 6-28-21 pitiful.
Don’t go to their mechanics!! Unless you want to spend more money fixing your car than what you supposed to. They really don’t care about your car. Now I have to go to another mechanic and spend more money now, literally my car was running prefect they were just supposed to change the battery and now my car won’t start. Never again!
The bakery employees are so rude! They see me standing there waiting for assistance and they just walk pass by and don’t even acknowledge the customer. As if they are so busy. If you don’t want to work then you should have stayed home. I put the cake bake and I left. I wasn’t buying anything after experiencing such nasty and rude employees. Hire better employees with better customer service skills!!!!!
After walking in this Walmart and see the self-checkout line going across to the other side of the store, we quickly turned around and left! No checkout lanes with cashiers were open, only self-checkout. Definitely, do NOT recommend shopping at this Walmart location!
Thank you WalMart pharmacy for making the vaccine process so professional and as easy as possible. I was kind of stressed out with everything that has been going on and the two women working with us were the so kind I cannot thank you enough. You are doing Great work contributing vaccines to the community to keep all of us save. Thank you thank you thank you
What can I say, its Walmart. There are all kinds of Walmarts and Ive been to a couple different ones. This one is pretty much like all the others. I want the persons job who works to read all these pointless reviews and respond to the megalomaniacs whom make Walmart horrible for themselves and ruin everyone elses day around them in the meantime. Walmart is a heaven, a real rock in this storm of life we live. Even though their corporate greed resembles the storm system from the Day after tomorrow, speaking of storms. You think Walmart is worried about amazon putting them out if business? I guess there will always be a need for a generalized superstore, but the more and more we are pushed to stay inside and be a more solitary society, the less needed Walmart is. I hope they stick around, to be honest... I have great memories of leaving my house to get away from everything, just get lost in the wondrous wide warped waste not what will win wonderful wonders world of Walmart. Just stop being so greedy. Cheers.
Ive been there several times to cash payroll checks. I just got drivers license and it was a temp one that i was told i could use until my original came in for any service that asked for it. Well the lady refused to take it and all the information on it matched the information on the check. Went to kroger which uses the same system as kroger and cashed my check with no problem.
I do not recommend the eye center didnt get a good eye exam and was given misleading information Dr. Insisted that I get contacts . I told him I wanted glasses, was then told my insurance covered both when I went to purchase glasses I was unable because of the contacts.
Will never shop here again. Felt like I wasnt the correct race to be there. Needed help getting material cut and saw a worker. She looked dead at me then picked up her pace to get away from me. Then the guy that came up, a manager I guess was rude. The lady working in that department had no clue what she was doing, but she was nice. Then after we were done shopping I was taking my cart to be picked up and saw a guy loading carts to take to the store. I started towards him with it and he just looked at me, turned his back on me and took off walking.
Just needed to do a little shopping it was a quick in and out.i didnt have a trailer so bobtail parking was ok.if you go with a trailer of course its Walmart you may have to get creative.and of course who can forget the endless lines.other than that nothing special its Walmart.
This goes for ALL Walmarts not this particular location. Most elderly or alike people have a difficult time doing self checkout and holds up the lines for much longer than needed. They need to have 1/2 self checkout and 1/2 regular employee run counters. Instead of a quick in-out shopping experience takes 5xs longer. The main reason why I rarely go anymore is for the lines at checkout ...
If you are a veteran or support veterans, DONT shop here. I went in to purchase a money order. Clerk said I need an identification. I only had a military identification because my drivers license. Got ruined.. Apparently, a combat veteran with a military identification is not good enough for Walmart.
The managers call customers names and tell you they will prey on you. Electronics department is very dishonest. The head manager will tell you to call back but no one answers the ☎ phone. And if you let it ring for 5 minutes they pick the phone receiver and hang it up.Worst Wal-Mart management store ever. I drive 40 miles out not to go to that Wal-Mart...and that Wal-Mart is 1 block away from my home.Beware of this store
Not too bad considering Christmas eve.😵🎄I revisited this Walmart. Customer service is terrible!😠 two cashiers on 6/11/21. And long, long lines. Thats truely unacceptable!. I ask for a manager from a employee and she returned my asking her with a unprofessional response and being rude with her response to me....Wow😳. Its the worst Walmart Ive experience. The store has cleaniness, and well stocked. Thats important but, common courtesy and kindness is essential!!!
Over all its a nice Walmart but the service in getting in Jewelry Department is impossible. I waited over thirty minutes and no one came. I asked six associated for help and they tried but still no help. I know its hard because of Covid-19. But still it wouldve be nice for a little help.
Horribly.. this location isnt giving change at all for cash.. I spoke with supposedly that assistant manager and she informed me that only three people were on staff to be open on a register when I could clearly see 15 to 20 people walking in and out and around and about looking at me standing in line waiting to be checked out four people ahead of me it took me an hour to get checked out.. then the lady at the register was very rude about the no change thing and told the customers behind me as well if they had needed change back they needed to get out of her line.. I just moved to Baytown and this is the worst experience especially in a Walmart which isnt hard to top but Ive never seen so many people unwilling to actually work or help at a location.
If you need help dont be expecting any there look for it in funk and wagnals dictionary first.. thats where youll find it. And in case yall dont know that is a real dictionary. I have never seen so many employees walking around that store with nothing to do but all of them with Apple earpods in their ears wandering around aimlessly and if you ask any of them for help you will get.....uhhhhh...I dont know.. The only help I got was from a disabled lady who worked there that was very kind and very knowledgeable. And I am speaking solely about my experience at the Baytown Walmart on Garth road.
Terrible Walmart. Always has merchandise needing shelved blocking isles. Cleaning and stocking crews start way before closing and are in the way of shopping. They give off attitude like customers are in their way. They closed self check out 15mins before closing and make everyone go thru 1 check out lane. Took over 30mins waiting in line to check out. Could have been done in 5min or less had self check out been open yet. Their time is more important than their customers apparently.
They started locking up pretty much everything. So now you have to wait for someone to find or get the keys to unlock it 😤😤THERE ARE 20 CHECK OUTS & ONLY 3 WORK‼‼‼ IF WE HAVE 20 OF THEM I EXPECT FOR 20 OF THEM TO BE OPENED AT THE SAMETIME‼‼‼Not all the self check out at the same time. If I have to do it myself I want a employees discount‼‼‼
Curbside pickup service is awesome! Store pickup is a headache! Their machine for store pickup is not working so you have to call a number and i waited for 30 minutes for the lady to give me my stuff.Oh, everytime i go to walmart baytown, they always run out of something.
This Walmart is the best in my opinion when it comes to cleanliness, organization and product structure. Ive gone to both Pasadena locations frequently and especially the one in Deer Park thats closest to my house. We now drive to this Walmart because of the mentioned. The one down side compared to the other locations is the lack of self check out lanes and people based check out lanes.
Yes Walmart has the selection of whatever item you want. Home items great selection. Groceries great selection and prices. Fresh produce never turns out great. The local.grocery stores are better for fresh produce! Clothing for children....ok. Adults ...ehhh!. All those lanes for checkout and they only use a few of them...the checkout employees are always friendly. But if you need help on the floor or (God forbid) a manager has to assist you....they are rude. Impatient. And they all have a chronic problem of rolling their eyes..
I ordered online with intentions of picking up in store. This was my first time working with the automated pick up process. The associate helped me, and I gathered my items from the locker. Overall, the process was easy and obviously convenient. Although, I had to drive a ways to this location, I was in and out in no time. The birthday letters are super cute and a great bargain! I was very pleased with the product and the way they display.
How can it even be possible to have only two return registers open on a Saturday during holiday shopping. I do not understand how this store’s staff is structured! I see more “Assistant Associates” then are needed. Too many people standing around versus helping customers!
Always busy hard to find an associate in many departments . The store is daily a super spreader event too many employees and shoppers with half mask on as well as the just oh well no facemask . I would expect more From Walmart. Target has a zero tollerance for half and no mask in shoppers as well as Its employees. Great auto service department . Oh i am not A target regular shopper .
Wouldnt shop there again if it was the only place in town, door greeters are rude ,disrespectful and over zealous . I do street ministry and I wear a backpack. I was stopped at the door and treated like a criminal and told to leave my belongings outside for any real criminal to steal my things while inside. The employee at the money center refused my stimulus check because I wouldnt leave my things outside to be stolen. Worst Walmart I ever been to in my life .
Not enough registers open, nor is there enough registers that accept cash for quick check outs. & There is way too many items thats in a disarray and also theres a ton of items that they just cannot seem to keep in stock bc they are almost always out of the rather important items thats usually on most peoples grocery lists.
Late at night, bc they r not open 24 hr anymore there is NO point in going if u have cash. Their lines they have open dont accept cash most of all the time and there is NEVER anyone in the checkout lines to buy from with cash.... what a waste of jobs this place now is and time going there now is
CSM Sharon is rude no customer service skills at all. She needs to be re trained and learn how to talk to a human being. They need to have cashiers in there that has better understanding of what customers are trying to ask instead of I dont know and just stand there and look at you
They all need better attitudes and need to be more helpful instead of using their phones and talking to each other. Acting like the customers are a problem when asked for a price or where something is. Id rather drive to 146 than go to garth rd. I should of known better.
This Walmart used to be our go to place to shop since its close to our place but recently they only have one or two registers open (Not talking about self checkout) most of the times. I dont think anyone would like to scan and bag a shopping cart full of groceries themselves for that reason we only go to Walmart only if we have to purchase max 5 items. HEB, Target and Kroger they all have multiple registers open at all times plus an individual who bags your item. I think Walmart needs to take note and accept theyre falling behind in customer service if they continue with their self checkout strategy.
The facility obviously profited during the crisis, but the store always has been nice. The illogical hours are curious because they quit being a 24 hour facility. This action actually creates more human traffic during the open hours, disallowing people to do during times when customers are spars. Go figure. A 24 hour store is a better model for fighting disease.
Terrible time . Rude employees . Toy monopolizers have nochoice but to go there considering they made all the other toy stores go out of business . Messy store and shelves. Rude inconsiderate managers. Too bad would probably be a good store if they treated their employees like humans
This was the quickest in/out trip I have ever made at Walmart. From parking to sending money to McDonalds and out...a whole 15 minutes. Must have been the right time of day to go. Everyone was very friendly. The door greeter was singing and happy. The Money gram worker was very kind. McDonalds was even happy. Very good way to start my day!
Just hate that u took off scanners to check prices. Why???? Toy Dept, no more kitchen for kids, vacuum cleaners for kids, etc..etc. but Ill always go to Walmart, I love Walmart. And I love seeing Mrs. Donna at the front door. Best door greeter ever. Very friendly caring, and loving. Shes the best. Every customer, I see, that loves her.
Great price but I dont like going to work in order to buy my groceries. There loosing the service end. I hate scanning and defiantly dont know how to bag my own groceries. I have been there 5 times now and every time its the same now .No open registers only self check. We take longer to use them when baskets always full. We get off work to go work at Wal-Mart . I cant believe Im the only one that hates self check. few items yes but full cart. NO.
They have baskets and ladder carts in the middle of the aisles today. Also the lady working self check our on the home side @130PM 3-8-19 (today) was extremely rude. When I used my Walmart app and scanned the on screen QR code I wasnt sure what to do next .The app said to wait for the carrier to finalize my payment, I asked the employee what was I supposed to do? She said I dont know all I know is this is SELF CHECKOUT you do it all yourself!! I said oh so when I do it on my all or doesnt automatically charge me? She said I dont know! I dont know! I said wow 😳 she said YEAH!!!! WOW!So I took my two kids and got in the car and called to speak to a manager. I pressed to speak to an associate. The phone rang until it literally wouldnt ring any longer and hung me up.Ive never had such bad customer service at a Walmart, and Ive been to plenty.
Save yourself the time if youre going to need to ask anyone for help such as finding an item in the store dont bother coming here go to 146 cause they aint going to even attempt only give you a poor excuse so they dont have to move from what they are doing sad to see a walmart display such poor customer service. I had to order the item online just to pick it up cause employees were too lazy to check in the back
This Walmart is pretty dirty. The store in general is usually unclean, the bathrooms are also dirty every time weve been here. The parking lot is always full of shopping baskets and weve seen them blowing into the sides of cars and trucks... The only customer service weve had was in the dressing room area and a gentleman in tire and lube. Both of those employees were extremely helpful and friendly. Will not return to this location unless I have to.
The management seem to go out of their way to make shopping at this Walmart a bad experience. Example: theyve removed almost all the devices that allow you to scan and check the prices of products. Also, they do not have any hand held baskets for shoppers needing only a few items. And they are always out of the most commonly sold items .No other walmart I ever go in has this lack of professionalism across the board
It continues to go downhill with only 3 checkouts open if you have a buggy full of groceries, P.S. Dont buy anything frozen if you have a buggy full of groceries itll start to thaw while youre in line ! People working there are doing their best tho. Walmart is working towards a robot controlled store.
It is pretty good, although, it is very busy during the day. I usually go late at night because of this. They barely have registers open which causes very long lines. Their customer service is not bad but could use some work. I love the variety of makeup they have and their produce is always good.
Although I like shopping here sometimes you cant get anyone to help you, and sometimes the workers are not so nice. Please do us shoppers a favour. If you have a bad attitude dont get jobs that deal with the public. On the bright side their are some who will go out of their way to make your shopping experience great 😎
Considering the busy season has hit... everyones cheerful and helpful. Great ideas for Santas sleigh as I walk the toy section. The sewing machine is gonna be a hit with my creative little princess. Dont think Ive seen these back home.... Love the variety this store carries. Happy holidays... to all!!
I shop frequently at Wal-Mart. This visit was not good. Apparently Self Service Check Out is being forced on shoppers. After shopping for school supplies for an hour, I went to check out and there were two ten or less registers open with long lines. Two cashiers closed but finishing their lines. I went to Customer Service and they said they could not check me out because I had more than ten items. I then asked why they didnt have any lanes open and was told the next crew was not in yet. I asked why the others were closed before there was coverage. I was told I could ask them to open back up to wait on us. One said no and one said yes. I stood at the end of the line, four people ahead of me having to tell anyone that came behind me the line was now closed. Long twenty minutes later, I thanked the young man for staying to help get paying customers helped.I told him I appreciated his extra effort. I also told him to let his manager know that after shopping for so long its not good Customer Service to not have registers open. I doubt I will be shopping there for a while. I have been shopping many years there, spent a lot of money and I dont like that the management doesnt mind having bad Customer Service. I was not the only customer upset by this. Several were at the Service desk asking for the same reason as I. I feel that jobs are being taken away from people that need them when you go to Self Check Out. They also take to long to scan and someone usually has to come assist to get checked out anyway.
During this craziness with people full confusion, panic, fear, and like me anxiety, several employees stopped to ask if I needed assistance! That has never happened to me every in the history of me entering those doors. I was looking for normal weekly groceries but they were out of lactose free milk that’s all my 24 year old son can use in his cereal. The gentleman was so helpful, he called his supervisor to see when or if it would be arriving that night and as he waited for his supervisors reply he called target and local convenience stores for me asking if they had or carried and type of lactose free milk. His supervisor said they should have it in stock and to arrange a carton to be set aside for me to pick up when I was able to. I regret not getting his name but he deserves a promotion! Above and beyond, it’s seems like something so small but if their customer service what like that all the time not just in a crisis this would be the only place I would ever shop.
I’m sorry but a ton of these reviews are full of it. I live in Baytown. I barely shop here. When I do, it’s to get things they don’t have handy anywhere else, like specific cat food, ice cream or the laundry items we love most. Do they have a great selection of most things? Of course. It’s Walmart! The parking lot is awful, there are NEVER enough checkouts open and it’s almost always crowded. My advice? If you don’t want to go to Crosby (especially if you are buying perishables like ice cream) GO IN THE MORNING. Before 11 is the best time, for sure! Trust me, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. 👍
The store was relatively slow as far as customers there were no long lines and there were several Walmart associates walking through out the store, and several were standing around talking to coworkers. We approached seven different associates none of which would help us we making a large purchase in electronics and waited for an assistant manager for over 20 minutes there were other customers waiting in electronics for a manager because they were making a purchase as well. Three of the Walmart associates that told us they couldnt help us also told us they didnt think the assistant manager would help us either. In the end it took an act of Congress to make our purchase one of the assistant manager that finally showed up acted like we were bothering him, and only person in Walmart that acted like they wanted to help us was a Hispanic lady from sporting goods. Please keep in mind our purchase was in electronics. I would not advise shopping here if you want assistance in a department other than sporting goods or unless you have an hour and half to waste purchasing one item.

2022-02-15Now I am normally on top of making sure I scan everything in my basket. I come here at least once a week. I’ve noticed the receipt checking lady was a little off. She would scream church songs echoing through the entrance. She only ever bothered me when I walked in one day and she looked me up and down and gave me a dirty look. My mother even noticed and told me to ignore her. She probably just has a problem with how I’m dressed. So I did. I always have my Yorkie in my purse. She is registered and she has harassed me before to see her card. Today I walked in and I heard her yelling at the back of my head but yes I ignored her. She’s already seen my card before so I just went on shopping. When I get to the self check out yes I had more items then what I’d normally have but I’m normally very good on checking everything. But today while I was checking out I was yapping my mouth with the cashier. She was asking me about my dog and telling me about hers. Meanwhile I’m just scanning things and throwing them in the basked. I pay and head to the door. I knew the lady was going to stop me because well she always has a problem with things that I do. So I have my receipt ready. First she accuses me of not paying for my mineral waters because she thought it was beer. Then she starts to dump my bags out and searching for everything. To be honest I had no problem because I thought she wasn’t going to find anything. There were items that I missed way at the bottom of my basket. So she starts screaming “strawberries!!! I don’t see strawberries on your receipt. Your trying to steal strawberries!” And I tell her no. I was distracted. I can pay for whatever items I missed just stop screaming that I’m trying to steal them because it was a honest mistake. At this point she is yelling and screaming that I’m trying to steal. And she said something about my tongue getting cut out. Dude. This treatment is disgusting. I come here once a week and she has searched my basked so many times and for the first time she actually found something. And it was a honest mistake. And she embarrassed me so much. My anxiety was going through the roof till I no longer even wanted my items. I took what I really needed to not make it a wasted trip and I left. The fact that management allowed her to work around people knowing how she was. I should’ve complained about her before but I just figured she was a little special and to ignore her dirty looks. But today I was deemed a thief, embarrassed, and threatened. When I was more then compliant. I just wanted her to stop screaming around the store that I was trying to steal. Customers shouldn’t be treated this way. I’m sure it’s happened to everyone once. It doesn’t mean much but I love this Walmart. They always have everything that I need. But I am never stepping foot in there again.

2022-07-02Always out or low on certain food products. Today on a Saturday before a major holiday few checkers and almost half of the self checkouts are out of order. The store on HWY 146 is a little smaller but nicer.

2022-03-23The People of WalMart, Baytown Edition are always entertaining. Store is kept up. Stuff isnt all over the floor. The aisles are a little to crowded with stuff for my liking... The cashiers are pretty friendly. No complaints.

2022-05-24Necessary evil to shop at Walmart, but it is nice to have the checkers smiling and conversing with customers. I have had the dubious honor of shopping walmart stores all over the US, and I really do see better integrity of service and a stronger work ethic . Right here in South Texas.

2022-03-04This is a high volume Walmart and for the amount of foot traffic this store gets, you would think they could keep product in stock. They are constantly out of items and what’s worse is that the Walmart App is not accurate and up to date in terms of what the store has in stock. The app is not reliable for this location at all so I would not trust it. I was in the hair aisle and looking for a product and I went in the Walmart app to search it to direct me to the correct aisle and on the app it said they had the product in stock but they did not have it. Customer service is awful and as previous reviewers have mentioned you cannot call this store and get anyone to answer or help you. It’s awful especially if you are having problems with a pick up and or delivery order. The best time to come to the store to avoid long wait lines and over crowding is in the morning before 10am and the worst time is late afternoon into evening.

2022-06-18I will be sending letters to the heads of this store and whomever is over it as well! My daughter, an 18 wheeler driver, was able to make a stop “close to home” just before her birthday to spend some time with family. I met up with her in Baytown(I do not live there); she and I both needed to buy groceries. We arrived a few hours before closing and had our basket brimming with about $500 worth of groceries. We heard a muffled announcement about 10:?? Pm. Assuming they close at 11, we began to head to the front. There were people in line to check out and we were looking for one as well. A lady came up to us and told us it was too late and all were closed and we could not check out and leave!!! I was flabbergasted! I have never been approached and told I “couldn’t pay for my stuff”; AND, she told us we would “just have to come back tomorrow and shop again”; I told her we didn’t live in Baytown and why were we being culled from the others who were still checking out. I told her it would cost more to pay a worker to put ALL the meats and other items up than to simply let us pay for our stuff (besides the store losing profits). We even offered to self-check out and pay by card. She ardently refused! I had not a clue how to react to such an obviously ignorant “assuming manager”!! My daughter and I have some health issues that we were already overly exhausted dealing, and this did not help matters. Then we were told to exit the opposite door, because the other was locked …as a few people walked out those very doors! I just gently rolled the over-ladened cart to the side, and announced I had never been treated like this by a Walmart!! And I will be happy to get back to my small hometown one! My daughter and I left empty handed. This was on June 17, a summer Friday! And it was only a couple of minutes AFTER 11 when we actually walked out their doors! Others were STILL INSIDE CHECKING OUT! 🤯 I will never go back to that Walmart again!! That was just wrong for us the customers, wrong for the employees, and wrong for the store owners!!! That “manager” needs to find another career if she can’t flex “just two minutes” for good customers and HER bosses profit margins!! People come in and steal from them, and yet honest hardworking people, asking to pay for their products, are randomly selected and told to just leave their basket of produce and go home! I was so shocked; I honestly didn’t know how to respond to this woman’s actions and words! Just horrid!

2022-05-07There are not enough checkers, and its frustrating to self check a basket of purchases, especially, when items did not scan, even with a bar code, however, the young women helping us was amazing!

2022-04-03Great selections, prices, and friendly staff that do their jobs well, with a smile on their face. Their clearance is the best! I have to check it out every time I’m in the store.

2022-03-17I give this Walmart location a 10 out of 10!! Considering that every other Walmart I’ve been to is NEVER adequately stocked this Walmart has my heart! It is 16 miles out my way but I don’t mind it to have piece of mind knowing I will find everything I need in one place! Thank you so much Walmart Baytown!!!!
