I absolutely love the office staff! They are always willing to help and the customer service is unmatched! Amenities are amazing and I’ve never had any issues with any maintenance requests being fulfilled, the maintenance team responded every time in a timely manner. Very professional and beautiful property and staff. I would give it 10 stars if I could ❤️
Been here since November (about 7 months now) Im amazed by all of the bad reviews.. Ive never had a single issue. If small things happened (Ice maker acting up, outlet wasnt working) maintenance was there within 24 hours if not the same day the issue was reported. Everyones been more than friendly! Nice, calm, and quiet area. Love it.
My entire experience was easy and painless. The property manager Tanishua was so helpful. She made me feel comfortable from the time I first came in the office until I moved in my apartment. If you are looking to move into a nice apartment without any headaches, Walnut Ridge Apartments is the place to be. Thank you again Mrs. Tanishua.
Worst apartments I have ever lived in! Over charging without explanations, then lock you out of your account so you cannot see the extra charges but are willing to tell you over the phone the amount only for them to add more fees and then late charges for unpaid fees they didnt inform you about in the first place. 60 day notice of moving out is ridiculous! Overpriced considering nicer, newer, and cheaper options in the same area. Everything is always broken like gates+. Ever revolving door for management, then blame last management for incompetence. Broken and sad excuse for a playground.
Thanks so much to Caleb on our maintenance staff for really listening to me about an issue I had with my air conditioner. He came to address two separate issues, was professional, courteous and efficient, and resolved both issues. Weve got a great staff here at Walnut Ridge!!☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆I wanted to add a new review (September 28th, 2021), but for some reason Im only able to edit an old one, so as the new information is maintenance related, I thought Id add the comments here. I had Tim and Ramel here yesterday replacing my Refrigerator which had stopped working. Despite the delay of the new fridge due to a current shortage of appliances, they brought it over for installation as soon as it was on-site. They were aware I had been without a working one for awhile, and wanted to get it to me ASAP. They were courteous, friendly and quick to install the new unit in my apartment - a five star rating and kudos to them. Tim and Ramel (and Jessica) are a major reason I continue to make my home here at Walnut Ridge. Thanks for all you do!
Might be moving to bastrop soon, went in to check out the place. The staff was super helpful! I had a lot of questions, they took the time to answer them all. The manager Tanisha took the time to say hi as well. You don’t get that very often anymore. Thank you for the great experience!
Jessica in the office has been very helpful and worked hard with me to get everything I needed taken care of even though it took us months to get it done. She has always been very friendly and helpful, answers every question I have and returns my phone calls and emails very promptly.
I just moved here and so far have had a great experience. I have not lived here for 2 months. I have not noticed any crime issues, the gates have always worked and Charles has been really fast to come over if anything is broken. Courtney helped me and my move-in was super easy. I live about 45 mins from work in Austin but for the savings I get it is worth the drive. Today as I was leaving they had crews out working on the property making repairs too so I think is a great sign. My apartment didnt have the new floors they sometimes offer, so that was my only complaint. Oh yea - living right next to Bucees has been awesome!! I walk over all the time!!
I moved here from California and was looking in the Bastrop area. Beautiful location next to the biggest Buc-ee’s in the world! My job moved me to a different area in Texas. But they answered all my question and gave me a tour of the model. This was my first choice unfortunately my career took me farther south. Great customer service and super sweet employees.
Save yourself the stress and just dont move here! Weve been here going on 4 years and its gone downhill...bad! The current manager is the worst out of all the office staff this place has gone through. They dont care about residents, customer service is horrible!! Rent went up over $100 this year and nothing has changed. No upgrades, gates rarely work, cant take advantage of the gym unless you pay an additional $75 for a gate key, parking is ridiculous and office staff is rarely there at the posted hours. Complex is not very well lit at all. I normally have to park outside the ‘security gates’ since there is never any parking and have to walk in the dark with a young daughter to get to my unit. It’s ridiculous! I used to love it here but I cant wait to get out of this place!
The apartment is clean and bug free. When I moved in the shower drain was clogged up, but maintenance is pretty good about fixing issues. The main problem is parking. The parking situation is terrible. I almost think for every apartment there are five cars. They need to sticker permit cars but they dont because they want to rent you a parking place. Making money off of their own problems that they cause by not managing the parking situation. When my lease is up, I am doing something else.
Edit: I have now lived here over 3 and a half years and it hasn’t got any better! I have had a running toilet for the past 6 months that has been said to be fixed 4 times, terrible tasting ice that I’ve asked the filter be changed in, and now the most rude manager! Gate to the pool is locked 75% of the time and I paid extra for the “pool view” and “stair access” to the pool! Manager tells me it’s supposed to be locked? Absolutely have had it with this place!DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!Coming up on a year of living here and not very pleased because my family and I are not very hard to keep pleased.First off for the money we pay in a small town to stay in a small apartment there is no reason to treat your guests like you dont care. The inside is no where near nice enough to be paying what we do.The only propane grill is by the pool which is locked most the time and tank is always empty. Lock for pool is top of the gate on the inside and my wife cant reach even after she puts the code in to get the gate unlocked. Half the time the gates dont work at all and are stuck open for all cars to come as they please. None of the walk way gates work properly. Weight room is only open during hours of operation... Guess what we work during hours of operation! You need an addition 80$ for a wireless remote to use the weight room! And on top of that they send us a 7 day notice to renew our lease at a higher rate or else its going up much higher. Parking is awful but bearable. Neighbors are nice and considerate most times. Management is awful and the most rude people Ive ever got the opportunity to give my money to!
I was a former tenant of this apartment complex and when I first moved in, things were wonderful. That quickly changed, however, when they cycled management and brought in a new staff who seemed apathetic at best regarding the community and issues that arose.During the summer months the pool hours were never enforced, though it wouldnt have mattered much as the entry gate was busted and people could walk in and out as they please. After repeatedly bringing the noise complaints to the attention of management, nothing was ever done about it, and I decided to move out when my lease expired.Theyre cycling new management in again and I cant get a satisfactory answer regarding settling my account with them. The disputes I was having with the former copmlex manager have to be restated and rehashed, all the while my account is being charged late fees. Im going to try to settle this amicably one last time before pursing other action against the complex.I would advise anyone thinking of moving into this complex to steer clear. Anyone who does live in this complex should acquaint themselves with the Texas property code to be armed in such cases.
This place is a RIP OFF!!! Dont even apply because they will automatically withdraw money from your account during the application process without your approval. Consider my review as a WARNING!!! Read all the reviews and take our word.Please read comments below, I am not the first one this has happened to. I was led to believe there was a period in between the application and the withdrawal of the earnest fee.
I love living here - such a quick drive to Austin! After working all day, I love to sit by the pool and listen to the gorgeous fountain, and if I need a drink or snack I can hop on over to Buc-ees. I worked with Courtney when I first moved in, and she is just a peach!! Maintenance has been ON POINT - want to give a huge shout out to Miguel! Thanks for the awesome place to live, I will be here for a while!!!
I am a guest to these apartments often. During Covid-19 crisis the managers had the gate open for a while which was great and sanitary. For some reason they ended up locking the gate back so now we have to touch the key pad that many others have touched then touch our steering wheels or even our children before we can wash our hands. One of the associates approached my mother WITHOUT a mask on just a week ago. There is regulation in place right now that requires people to wear masks in Bastrop yet this lady chose not to follow this order. Walnut Ridge apartments do not caring about their tenants or guest safety during this Covid-19 pandemic. Dear management please start caring more!
Called last month to get pest control and no one has shown up. The parking already sucks as it is and now there fixing the back wall taking up more parking spaces. The gym is only open during business hours which doesn’t make any since sense 90% of people work during business hours. The only big grill is in the pool area which is never open. Ask why isn’t the pool open and there excuse is because someone broke the table. I pay to have a pool and my kids shouldn’t be punished because someone decided to break a table. Been living here for months and I still haven’t been able to get my own gate code because the system is always broken.
When my husband my kids and I moved in we were so excited. we even packed our stuff the night before because we were told we would get the keys first thing in the morning. well when we got there nothing was done. maintenance was in there cleaning up the place so we had to wait a few hours. then the lady rushed us to turn in our sheet that we mark damages so we didnt even get to write everything down. we left it alone, a year later we just renewed this past May. We instantly regret it. 1 month ago it stormed so bad and a leak developed in my master bedroom. hasnt been fixed, i have called 4 or more times already. then one day i took my kids out to play chalk early and maintenance told me i needed to wash it with the hose after, i did but because i thought maybe that was a rule, well i went through my lease and nowhere in there does it say my kids cant play chalk outside on the ground. thats ridiclous my babies are 2 and 3!!! another thing, maintenance rushes to do everything and doesnt even do the job right, they half way do it. i called them for my bathtub drain to be fixed and they fixed it but left eveything apart, so when i went that night to take my babies a bath there was hair and dirt all in the bath with the parts not put back together. this place is getting out of hand and im ready to go. not to mention the breaking in the cars. this morning i woke up to my gas tank open to my car!!!! i havent put gas in 4 days so i havent touched it, well of course no cameras around and the gate to get in the complex was broken ALL WEEKEND!!!!!! i will be taking action to leave asap
This business deserves a negtive -0. Over priced ghetto, with disrespectful residents. You sign the lease online, which means people are living in the apartments that are not on the lease. The mangement team has no clue what kind of people live in the complex. They never see them. Some apartments have five to seven adults in a two bedroom apartment. Noisy, dirty, people sharing rent. You do not want to live here, unless you want pay 1400 a month to live in a ghetto. In response to the owner you are not the owner, you are a staff member trying to defend your lousy apartment complex. Let me make this very clear to you. I have complained about the noise in this complex over ten times. As I write this review there is a night club inside my apartment, and it is 11:21pm. Just because quite time starts at 10pm, does not give people the right to disturb thier neighbors at any time during the day. This is a reflection on the mangement team. You can quote your lease terms all you like. If you dont want people giving you bad reviews, than run your business with respect to the residents that have complainted. Also give residents a phone number, and the name of the owners so they may file a complaint. The excuse I received from your staff is the company wants the management to be responsible. Okay so owner lets get a name and number, not an excuse please. There is a reason you have a 2.3 rating. Stop blaming and quoting terms, and do something to improve the living condition of your complex. Prehaps you should change your terms to protect your residents. When residents complain try resolving the complaints. You have time to respond to reviews, then you have time to walk your grounds, and talk with your residents.
I could sit by the waterfall at the pool all day! the office staff is always great and willing to help with anything and I love how fast maintenance is. landscaping always look really nice, too. and so convenient. they are right off the highway and close to austin and buc ees is right there, too. no complaints here!
If I could give them No stars I would!! Do not waste your time or money. These are nasty! Dogs poop and pee on the sidewalks in the grass and it stinks! The management is a joke. The caliber of residents has gone down so bad. This used to be the best place to rent. Not anymore and they charge outrageous rent prices...SignedOne mad tenant😡
DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!!This place is not what it seems to be AT ALL. Luxury prices for what seems to be luxury apartments but in reality are far from it. The interior is average, the grounds are unkept with trash on the ground all around, the dumpsters are unsightly as they are overflowing constantly, the gates remain stuck/broken wide open for anybody to come in, and last but definitely not least the parking is atrocious! Resulting in both my wife and child having to walk across the entire complex sometimes at night in areas that are occupied by men loitering and are not well lit. This establishment is a joke and I am very much looking forward to the end of my lease!!!!!
Lived there for years was a horrible experience. Was bound by contract so forced to stay. Finally after living under a drug dealer for 6 months and the cops comming non stop, i moved my family out due to safety concerns.. then they were quick to act with FEES! Broken contract. Tried to pay agreed amount to collections agency. Then they avoid you so it hurts your credit.. i tried to pay and they still turned me into the creditors... DO NOT MOVE IN.. Im not disgruntled BLUESTONE CORPORATION THAT TOOK OVER IS A KNOW SLUM LORD DO YOUR HOMEWORK YOU WILL SEE.. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS... if possible I would have put - stars!
Im coming up to a year of living here and all I can say is that I regret it. Parking is horrible. Literally have to park outside of the gates or on the other side and walk to my building. Also some people just dont know how to park correctly. If you want to park underneath the shed thats going to cost you extra money. Also got to deal with crazies driving around and throwing bottles out their running vehicle. Lucky enough I was there to pick it up just because I didnt want anyone having to run over glass and getting a flat. Theres a lot more I can say but Ill just leave it at that.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!! There has been issues from day one. Kids throwing rocks nothing been done when reported to the upstairs neighbors and all their noise to car getting scratched up. Then there was a leak and the office told me they went in and unplugged my washer when it had nothing to do with my washer at all. It was from another unit and the issue went on for weeks until there was mold in the wall. When reported to the office they thought it had been fixed. Im living in a apartment with mold and paying all this on rent and you thought it was fixed. There is a lot more, but I had to move.
Youve kicked my friends dad out for no reason, and then yall forced him to go to jail. How dare you be rude to my friends disability. I know this was a while back, but why did you rise the prices? Your staff and crew are just rude to everyone. If I could rate this place a 0, I would. I also need to point out that your place is very unsanitary.
This place is shameful. The prices need to be lowered to reflect the run down place these apartments actually are. The parking is ridiculous and a number of apartments are occupied by drug dealers and criminals of different sorts. I would not suggest living here for anyone!
Worst place I’ve ever lived manager is childish raised rent to 1900 without notice and when I tried to pay rent they refused payment and issued eviction not to mention manager removed the ac fuse outside in the middle of the summer almost killing my bulldog cause it was so hot inside while we were gone at work I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemies and they will not give you contact information to their supervisors

2022-01-24Even though there were communication issues and time scheduling a repair on my part, they still made sure someone got to my apartment before they closed that day and gave me a space heater for the freeze when mine wasnt working. I appreciate that even without a response from me, they still came to make sure I wouldnt be cold through the freeze. Best management team Ive seen here in a while.

2022-06-28Will not be renewing my lease, my ac has been messed up since day 2 or 3, still not corrected. Car was towed as I wasn’t informed that you apparently have to pay for parking in front of the building you live in. No parking unless you dish out extra money as the free parking is usually a struggle to find. Over charging on rent and than milk you for more money. I paid 1200 for rent in Austin for a 2 bedroom apartment with plenty of parking that was free because you lived there. I pay almost 1600 to live here and have to walk usually about a quarter of a mile to my apartment, and no balconies either even though my floor plan showed one online.

2022-06-28Been here a lot of years! Peaceful nice neighbors, area always clean. If something breaks, send a maintenance report and its done by next business day sometimes sooner..apt has ideal space prefect!

2021-06-08Been here since February 2021 on a short term lease and love it. Apartments are spacious and beautiful. All areas are well maintained. Great prices, very convenient location and the awesome staff is always there to assist swiftly. Kudos to Jessica for helping us on the whole process to get an apartment that fits our needs and for her ongoing assistance. HIghly recommend it.
